Whole Beast

Whole Beast in Brixton is one of those rare places that gets everything right from the moment you walk in. The cooking is bold, honest, and packed with flavour. The grills are the heart of the menu and you can taste the care that goes into every dish. The vegetables are treated with the same respect as the meat, which says a lot about the kitchen. Portions are generous, but every plate feels intentional. Service is relaxed but sharp. The staff know the menu well and offer genuine recommendations, not rehearsed lines. It makes the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. Whole Beast is one of the most exciting neighbourhood spots in Brixton right now. Great produce, great cooking, and a team who clearly love what they do. Highly recommended.

Great starters, roasts, drinks and puds. Service was nice and was a perfect Sunday lunch. Definitely will be back to sample the various exciting events they've got coming up

Awesome Sunday roast here today in a relaxed environment with warm, professional service. Food was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection, all for incredibly good value. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of their food already!

Great to see Whole Beast open in Brixton, finally with a permanent space after years of pop-ups. Fire cooking - with a big smoker at the back and grills in the main kitchen - and a small-ish menu ranging from snacks to tacos to meaty plates to dessert, and of course their excellent burger. A warm welcome and very friendly service - thanks Ruby! - plus eclectic music that includes Scroobius Pip, Talking Heads and even a bit of Billy Ocean, they are really making themselves at home. Loved it!

Great addition to the Brixton foodie scene in the former Shrub & Shutter home. Think we tried everything on the menu apart from the Texas Toast and the stuffed olives so will be back for more! Stand out dishes were the cheese & crackers, BLT taco, pork collar and the pasta dish which was like a burnt leek Mac & cheese…. Yessss… Definitely will not be sharing the burger next time and the crack pie is indeed very moorish. Team were excellent and the kitchen was smoking. Can’t wait to try their roast.

Went for my first Sunday roast at WholeBeast in Brixton!! I’m so impressed the meat was extremely tender and so flavourful and not too rich which is always a worry! The service was quick and efficient exactly what you want and need and everyone there is so friendly especially Josh who helped us choose our dishes and made the best suggestions. Highly recommend for everyone and anyone, family meals and date nights!!!

Top tier meal, great food and drinks! Will be coming back for a roast! Highlight was tacos, toast and burger, but all great.
