Always a stop when I’m downtown. Amazing selections of fresh food and wine. My son and I stopped for bar soap. I love the smell of the store, the flower selections and the salad, fresh hot food choices. People are friendly at the meat stalls and food area. Restroom was considerably clean considering it was late when we came. Parking was awesome! It tells you what’s available on the front area and down the other parking side. Lots of self check out counters oh an of course Juiceland in Whole Foods is a plus.

Fall stuff is on the shelves and pumpkins are in! Parking is free & easy in the garage just to the left of the entrance. Bring your ticket in, it’s validated at the little machine at the exit. Very cute location with great set ups. Visually appealing, felt relaxing to shop there. There’s a hot bar at this location and a cute cheese area with little jellies. Found most of the things I needed there even with it being a smaller location. The staff were so nice and helpful!

Smaller, neighborhood-sized Whole Foods Market, close to home and downtown Austin, which is perfect for me. Fantastic selection of fresh meats, poultry, and seafood. An awesome selection of vegetables. Loved the prepared foods, as well as cheese and deli sections. Plentiful canned and jarred, as well as refrigerated and frozen items. Nice selection of beers and wine too. Service was genuinely friendly and helpful. Store was very clean and well stocked. Easy parking.

Hey Gorgeous You

Whole Foods is my favorite market to shop by far. You guys must try in the deli the teriyaki chicken marinated. I always get about six pieces. It is so good for quick bite grilled them put them on a salad eat it just way it is. It’s just amazing.

Having lived in Austin for many years, Whole Foods was always a go-to for us. The store is spacious, clean, and easy to navigate, offering an impressive selection of fresh produce and high-quality products. The hot food bar is always a delight, and we love exploring the many ready-to-eat options. Whole Foods revolutionized the “supermarket” experience, making it modern, forward-thinking, and a place where food lovers can truly enjoy the best. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, and it’s always a pleasure to shop there!

The employees be acting weird af... I can't even finish my food at dine in areas inside or outside without being rushed to leave. This been happening to me for the past three days now, if I can't shop in peace, enjoy my time here while I'm spending my hard earned money than it's pointless coming back. I noticed no matter what city I live in I'm always getting a bad experience in a grocery store where it's built underneath an apartment complex. I've become fed up I'm a start going to the other locations where I know my time will be much more appreciated. Never again will I shop at this location.

Google
Whole Foods is just an amazing place to shop, and eat! I saw so many people enjoying their food and the atmosphere. It is a lovely place to shop. Everything is a feast for the eyes and senses.

I am writing this with great disappointment in the customer service of this WF location. My family and I went last week (last week of March 2025) I immediately noticed that there were many employees who appeared to just be standing around, which I thought was a little odd but since it was 9am on a Saturday and not terribly busy, it didn't seem too unusual. I went to pay for my single item at the self-checkout, and encountered some trouble in-putting my amazon account info and checking out with cashless pay. I was the only customer at the self-checkout station at the time, and there were two employees standing just 3 feet from me in that same section, staring at me while I re-entered my info numerous time and struggled to pay with phone. The employees spoke amongst themselves, snickered, glared back in my direction and ignored the one customer who was clearly in need of assistance. Not once did either ask if I needed help; it was like a was being judged and/or mocked. I actually had to call my husband who was outside of the store to come in to help me. When we were done, it was then that the female employee wished us a good day. I had never experienced this level of disservice at WF, and for that reason I will not be returning. And reading other reviews on this page, it does not seem like I am the only unsatisfied customer who mentioned the poor employee etiquette.

Yelp
I have shopped at Whole Foods since it was founded. I was glad to see the growing east side now has its own market. From the outside this doesn't look like it is big but it is actually quite a good sized store. All the good stuff one expects from Whole Foods is there. Nice staff, too.

Yelp
I was really disappointed with the whole vibe of this new location of WF. I have been to other WF and it wasn't like this. Maybe it's the change over of ownership that has made it go downhill. The staff was rude and complacent and unhelpful. They were acting as if the store was closing any moment when they weren't actually closing. Maybe it's the location where they get riff raff coming in but a friend and I had stopped in to check the store out and get the food bar. She asked about certain items of an employee and got a meh whatever is there is what you see response. My friend was still shopping so I went to self check out and the machines only take cards when I wanted to pay cash. This was after not getting assistance on how to pay for soup from salad bar and being rushed through. At that point I just got out my card as I didn't have a basket and it was burning my hand holding the cup and the line was long to go through the cashier line. Then nobody could tell me where to get utensils. So I finally figured where to go on my own. One of the checkers started tapping on the counter staring at us as we tried to sit there at the tables and eat as if she was annoyed we were there. My friend asked her to stop making that noise and she rolled her eyes and stalked off. This was 7:30 on a Thursday night and not an odd time to be at a grocery store. The staff were all teens or barely older than that, but not the best impression was made at this new location. A couple of loud people out in front of the store with one clearly mentally deranged as he was yelling at a nonexistent person and the store had taken in the chairs and tables. A terrible first impression they gave us.

Yelp
I recently stopped by Whole Foods Market and enjoyed the festive Valentine's decorations scattered throughout the store. I picked up a rotisserie chicken and some organic apples, pears, and oranges. The staff was as helpful as ever, and the parking, validated for 90 minutes, was convenient. While prices are a tad higher, the quality and selection make it worthwhile. Overall, a pleasant experience for my Valentine's grocery needs.

Yelp
One of my favorite market. The quality of their food and vegetables are so amazing. The service is great with very kind and knowledgeable staff. Ok so the ambience is so calm and peaceful while buying.

Yelp
I stopped by this Whole Foods location for a coffee when I was out for a morning walk last month. It's a very nice location, with a great prepared foods section. It's a newer location, so it's very clean and modern, but it's also well organized and laid out well. Definitely a place I wouldn't complain if I had nearby!

Yelp
I am very lucky to be able to bike to this Whole Foods. Yes, there is a parking garage and it is validated. I get many staples from here! We know WF is pricey but their weekly ads have some worthy discounts, especially with Prime. The 365 brand is considerably cheaper and just as great as other store brands. Overall I've seen a trend of lower prices, an attempt to make it more accesible for everyone. The quality of produce, products, and proteins is top notch. The prepared meals, sushi, pizza, salad and hot bar - all consistent, fresh, tasty with healthy options too. Even when it's busy on the weekends, it stays well stocked, clean and organized. I really like the store size, it is not overpowering with aisle after aisle. This location is small and mighty, with a layout similar to a regular sized WF but on a more personal scale. I love grabbing something from the hot bar for a quick lunch or after shopping. Staff overall has been attentive and friendly. Oh and they have sample stands from time to time, wish it was more often.

Yelp
A few things to consider: The tortilla chip selection is offensively undersized and over priced. We are in Texas. Also, I feel like I shouldn't be able to wave a slice of pizza like it's a handkerchief in the breeze with which I am bidding my beloved farewell from the window of a train. I don't want to see light shining through my slice of pizza. Its thin. This pizza is too thin is what I'm saying. And please don't ever buy a chicken in a bag there. I don't understand how every single one is burnt in the same way, like they just have one burnt ass rotisserie chicken that they have been cloning since year one. The 3 stars are earned solely based on the bakery and how easily my friend can steal caviar (allegedly).

Yelp
I like this location as it is near my esthetician's suite. I can score parking on the street, but they also offer parking in the garage. Overall I have bought a few things here and there at WFM. I make sure to have them scan my Amazon Whole food app to get some discounts/deals. The location is not as big as compared to other WFM but that makes sense due to the location.

Yelp
High prices and less selections than they used to have. I think the quality has really slipped. Also that they close at 9 is so that is inconvenient to those of us that work late. I mean, there's a reason people love H.E.B. in Texas. It's great there are choices in grocery stores.

Yelp
Very small selection and rude rude staff. I wanted to get some food from the deli counter and the girl had her face painted so fun, but she ignored me for over 5 mins, didn't make eye contact, looked at the ground when I asked for help and replied "what." I asked for some deli items, she packed it and tossed it in the counter at me and walked away. Still amazed this is who markets their very pricey deli food. The pre packaged items all expire the next day, so it's difficult to shop for the week here. It's close to my apt but I'll drive to another grocery from now on.

Yelp
Had the sushi. Below average quality (hard wasabi, dry rice), but more expensive than some actual sushi restaurants in town.

Yelp
I love going to this location. Today I had to go to a shop nearby, and decided to shop and eat at Whole Foods. I love to look at their merchandise, and usually find nice gifts. They had new Christmas cactuses they were setting out. They were nice sized, in a terracotta pot, full of gorgeous blooms and only $9.99. They also had little ceramic snowmen with an air plant that were cute for $7.99. These will be great gifts. I picked up some activity books and a board book for gifts. I also got wine for hostess gifts. Always a great wine selection! Their candle selection is awesome, I got a cardamon candle in a mustard color container. I had Korean BBQ. The steak was thin, tender, juicy and flavorful. They cooked it on the grill. Good sauces, rice, sprouts and greens. I ate at the bar, and watched the soccer game. I didn't even grocery shop!i

Yelp
WFM is amazing at delivering consistent experience - and this location proved it to me yet again. Visiting from out of state i was able to find what i needed in no time. Parking here is well situated but does require validation before leaving the store which a bit annoying. Hot bar is another highlight - on the day of my visit was running low on some items like carnitas, but everything was delicious and well prepared.

Yelp
Small Whole Foods but has a good meat counter and a decent salad bar. It has everything you need for a quick grocery run.

Yelp
I live in the neighborhood and am followed/cased almost every time I shop there. I've encountered rude staff. The manager Jonathan is aggro. It's unfortunate I'm a big fan of their stuff but I don't really go anymore and I live like a block away.

Yelp
I stopped in this location for the first time tonight and had a great experience. Blake and Bob helped me find some Aloe Vera gel for my sunburn, and Jenn was a really cool cashier. Thank you WFM East Austin ATX.

Yelp
Whole Foods... always the loveliest ambiance! Always a delight at the check out register with such pleasant employees! Two sweet ladies in the area I might call 'cosmetics' helped me find what I was in search of. Oh and the photo I took? Funky car parked outside!

John B.

Yelp
They never have what I'm looking for, it's a waste of time coming here - I always end up having to go to the other location to get normal everyday products that this location is out of.

Yelp
I wouldn't quite call it a WHOLE Foods, maybe a Half Foods- this place is a lot smaller than the typical Whole Foods you might find. And especially seeing as how the flagship Whole Foods headquarters is on the other side of I-35, this place is in a pretty big shadow. It's more like a huge, healthy convenience store without gas. The inventory here is rather limited. I came in for beers and a sandwich- they didn't have too many affordable sandwiches, and only a few single beers were available. They had a larger selection of beers by the sixer. The produce section is rather tiny, yet the store has lots of open space. There's an outdoor patio that overlooks I-35. Scenic! There isn't a lot of shade out there on their patio, but there's plenty of seating at picnic tables. There's underground parking that's shared with Target. Whole Foods, as a whole seems to have lost some of that zest for life, some of that wholistic energy when John Mackey sold the company to Bezos. Things have gotten a lot more economized and efficient, over what Bezos' predecesor did.

Yelp
I'd had a lot of disdain for Whole Foods for decades, for things like really high prices and snooty customers. Man, what a change since the Amazon takeover. Prices are competitive, which in turn attracts more middle-class shoppers. Also, I was stunned at how gently a manager treated a shoplifter. The manager relieved the man of the items he was trying to take out, was downright cordial, let him go, and then apologized to me that I had to witness it. I'm not sure I would have been so accommodating. The shoplifter easily could have been arrested. It's not important to me that shoplifters be treated well, but it's a marker: If they treat *shoplifters* that well, imagine how they treat legitimate customers.

Yelp
This location is fairly new and in the up growing community of the East Austin. I like how parking is underground and is shared with Target. Parking wasn't hard to find and parking is free for 90mins when validated after checkout. The store is about the half the size of your typical Whole Foods but they managed to have all the essential food, drinks, etc. you would need in a grocery store just not a large variety of options. I stopped by only to pick up a birthday cake for my mother in law. She loves chocolate so I opted to get their chocolate buttercream cake not having tried it before. I usually get their Chantilly berry cake which is top notch so I assumed it would be tasty as well as I have not had a bad experience with their desserts. The buttercream was pretty hard and overly sweetened, on the drier side. The cake was a little too rich to our liking as well. Was it worth $30, definitely not but I know now that this is definitely not the greatest cake they offer. I'd stick to the Chantilly cake next time for sure. I'm not sure if they make their cakes on store or get it delivered from larger Whole Food stores in Austin. Definitely something I question given how the cake was pretty dry.

Yelp
I posted this already on the Google review but I figured I leave it here too.. So I never go to this location but I saw online they sold this amazing Scarlett pie I've gotten addicted to since last year & this pie is only seasonal so I had to wait another year to eat it again. My friend & I have can't stop talking about it. I go into this location in hopes to find it again & although there is a big sign for it on the table no Scarlett Pie on the table I'm circling around the table & going to the other locations where there are pies none I lost my hopes. A very sweet woman stocking bread (I really apologize I did not look at her name or ask for it but) asked if I was looking for something & I said I was but they did not seem to have it. I told her what it was & she said every store is out of that pie but she might have one in the back. She comes back with it in her hands & I almost cried I know it's just a pie & honestly I don't even like pies that much but I'll go anywhere for that pie. I gracious took it & am so happy she came up to me & asked. Again I'm so sorry I didn't get your name but I know you know who you are & whoever didn't come pick it up sorry but know that you made someone very happy I am so happy & am glad there are such helpful individuals still out there!! Thank you to this woman even though it was such a minor & small ask..she made my Christmas .

Yelp
I love Whole Foods! This location is designed really nicely but is quite limited in variety. The downtown location is nearby and much larger. This one is kind of like your neighborhood convenience store but fancier. Lots of fresh flowers at this location!

Yelp
I would have rated this much hire, but one of the customers (young guy, 20's, in a UT polo shirt) was shopping without a mask. Not one "team member" had asked him to leave the store to retrieve it! I overhead him talking to the cashier, "yea, I left my mask in the truck, but no one said anything, so I just walked in without it" Inexcusable! This would never have happened at Trader Joe's. There they do police the front door and limit the number of folks in their store at one time. So disappointed with WF. As a native Austinite, I expected more from our home grown store. I asked the 3 security guards on duty if that was part of their jurisdiction. They said no. The responsibility is with the "team member" at the door. Untrained, probably. Maybe the grand opening should have been delayed, huh?

Heather C.

Yelp
My only reason for this review is to let everyone know that whole foods on 6th street has THEE BEST in house made salsa that I have ever tried in my entire life. I have to mention that ONLY this location makes a good one. I've tried it at their other wholes foods and it sucks. Not sure why it's so different here but whoever's making this crack, please don't ever stop lol.

Yelp
The new coffee Bar is so over priced! The coffee is just ok and I am sad because it used to be a good place to meet your friends but we are going somewhere else now. I will let you know what we find that is better.

Mark T.

Yelp
I enjoy the fresh, organic food and beverage options. I'm particularly impressed with the vast beer selection, especially the local brewery options. Another bonus are the prepared meals selections. Real nice and convenient.

Marianne U.

Yelp
Ordered Thanksgiving turkey which was so disappointing! The turkey was deformed and tasted super off! Shame on Whole Foods!

Sarah M.

Yelp
Writing this mostly to share the parking situation, which I couldn't find on their website and received an eye roll from an employee for not knowing. There's a parking garage to the left of Whole Foods. They validate up to 90 min. And there's a kiosk by the sliding door where you can validate. In other respects, this store is fine. It's relatively small compared to other WF. I will always appreciate that WF gives a rating system on meat, showing how well the animal was treated, even if some of their stuff is outrageously priced. In regard to Covid: I found that employees and other customers weren't too concerned with keeping distance. Some of the aisles are incredibly narrow so it's impossible there. One dude walked in just holding his mask and took forever to put it on and no one said anything to him. But other than that, everyone was masked up.
google avatar

Juan J.

Yelp
small store. bad produce, low stock items, low inventory. not a real whole foods. call it something else. i am same distance between this and lamar. it shows up as only delivery option. stop delivering to me. please.
google avatar

Amanda P.

Yelp
So glad this grocery store is on the east side of 35! It's otherwise quite a challenge to get grocery store food items anywhere close by without it. Tons of great grab-and-go lunch options to choose from. The machine-brewed coffee feature is a big waste of space, in my opinion. I got a free coffee from it that was flavorless and gross. No wonder no one else was using it! I can see why now. It's a smaller Whole Foods but it does the trick and has great stuff in it! I got some excellent pies there during November this year.
google avatar

Khanista D.

Yelp
I love this Whole Foods! I don't understand why it has such a low rating, but I don't live in Austin so I just pop in when I visit. I love the food court and the endless variety of specialized soaps.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Absolutely rude completely unprofessional and very employees work at this location. I moved into the east Austin area around 5 months ago and have been going to the Whole foods Market almost every day or every other day during my lunch break or to pick up something for dinner. Not once has an employee ever said hello, can I help u find something nothing! Until one day I was sitting eating at the dinning area and a women who refused to give me her name asked if I'd paid for my food. Ofcourse I said yes. Then she proceeds to ask to see my receipt. I was so so glad I didn't throw it away like everyone in the world does. So I showed it to her she had no answer when I asked why she decided to ask me and absolutely no one else. How completely rude and embarressing . ABSOLUTELY DONTT GO TO THIS LOCATIONS!!!!!

Anna M.

Yelp
Great store! Love Whole Foods! Always know I can find all the organic I need. So cool that it's on the east side!!!
