Whole Foods Market Is Opening in East Austin Instead of 365 by Whole Foods - Eater Austin

"365 by Whole Foods was meant to serve as a cheaper version of the full-on Whole Foods Market, with lower prices and comparatively limited options." - Nadia Chaudhury

This is an interesting Whole Foods. It is smaller than other locations, and does not have the restaurants inside. There’s also not really much in the way of deli selections. But they have all the Whole Foods staples and have a small salad bar with fresh pizzas as well. I like that all of their refrigerated spaces have doors to conserve energy which I have not seen in other Whole Foods.

Google
It’s a smaller Whole Foods but it has a Juice land inside and most things someone might need. More limited on meats and all things just because of its size. I’ve dealt with some staff being ignorant, watching me, verbalizing things that indicated their impression that I might be shoplifting. Pretty offensive. Otherwise the experience has been fine. The man that helped me in the wine section is very nice and knowledgeable. I’ve seen some amazing in store discounts. The flower section is very small but I still found beautiful varieties and staff helped me wrap it to give a unique gift to some sweet girls first communion. Always nice to have a quick drop in Whole Foods.

Fully stocked whole foods store! The juice land was open and served fresh squeezed juice cocktails and smoothies.. tried their pleasant valley juice! Flowers were stocked up and fresh! Bananas ranged from fully ripe for immediate consumption to raw requiring a few days to be ready to eat. Lot of organic veggie options. They had lunch/ dinner bar too with numerous options and vegetarian/vegan friendly dishes. The cake stop had good options. The self checkout was small but it wasn't crowded at the time I visited so was quick in n out.

Got to come here for the first time! Whole Foods is just a great grocery store to go to! The quality of the products here are very good and they are very fresh! I got some beets and a jicama! Can’t wait to try them! Also high quality whole wheat 🌾 were very appealing to me and of course I got them! Wish the awesome store like this will come up to Jarrell, TX! Please come 🙏😁 Anyways, keep up the good service! Cheers 🥂

Amazon stop and so much more. I was surprised that prices of products seem to be more reasonable than when Whole Foods first started. I refrained from shopping Whole Foods before as it seemed to be a hype. Now, I appreciate the alternative healthy choices that are readily available with competitive prices. I like this location. Not overwhelming and laid out well. Clean, and with bonus Juice land corner (separate review)! Free parking with reserved disabled parking close by. Excellent location near key shops.

I came in yesterday for an issue with some products I bought that wasn’t the stores fault, and Esteban was super helpful. He could have brushed it off or even gaslit me like other stores would have, but he helped me quickly and was super understanding. Provided me with the replacements of the products and made it super quick and easy. Every time we shop here it’s been amazing. Store is clean and well kept. The employees are always happy to help and it’s just always been a great experience. My wife loves to bring our daughter shopping here every Sunday and I’m glad the employees are happy to help.

Okay, so I visited the Cedar Park Whole Foods the other day and noticed a young girl with colorful hair working there. She was being quite rude to the employee next to her, who appeared genuinely kind. I couldn’t read the name tag, but her behavior made me uneasy. What truly struck me was that even though the other girl was clearly judging her, the sweet employee still smiled at me and inquired about my day. I’ve faced hardships and know it takes great effort to maintain positivity when someone is belittling you like that. This incident made me reflect on the store’s environment. If employees treat each other this way in front of customers, what’s it like behind the scenes? I hope the managers address this issue and this troubled employee, as a respectful workplace is just as crucial as providing good food.

Ordered cupcakes several days before my birthday celebration only for the order to be cancelled the morning of my birthday with no explanation. When I called I spoke to a woman who told me they were out of the cupcakes I wanted. Which is perplexing to me. You have a bakery. I ordered these cupcakes days ago. Paid and all. They should have simply been baked and ready to go as ordered. Very unprofessional and a sour way to start my birthday. I will say the woman I spoke to was apologetic and polite I don’t blame her specifically for this but she offered no alternative solutions which I can only accredit to a lack of customer service training.

Yelp
Having lived across the U.S. in various major cities, I have to say that this particular Whole Foods is not particularly "great." It's dated and warehousie feeling. The one in downtown ATX (Lamar Blvd) is much much nicer but for those that don't know, there are even much much nicer ones than that like the one on Avenue Rd. in Toronto, or I've always admired the Bridgeport store in Tigard, OR, which has several eateries inside of it including an Asian grill and a Sushi bar. This store is small, unpleasant (from a merchandising and store design perspective), doesn't carry very many products at all, at least there could be a butcher or seafood counter or bakery. I mean this place just feels like an Aldi minus the wooden pallets for Pete's sake. For a company that has its roots in Austin it's really weird that their stores here are so terrible but ATX'ers just don't know it. Hopefully, we'll get one in GTX (Georgetown) some day and hopefully it will actually be a good one. Here's hoping, right?

Yelp
This review is for the crew at the Amazon return desk. Three words, Fast, Friendly, Efficient. Handling Amazon returns has got to be a daily challenge. Yet the crew here have it down. They get you in and out in no time, and it's free. You'll usually get a verification email before you get back to your car. I've never had an issue with my returns processed by While Foods. With the holidays here, you'll probably need to return at least one item or so. Check them out. You wont be disappointed. Michael C - Georgetown, Tx.

Yelp
Your Yelper Girl here. This establishment is always so clean and organized. Lots of yummy treats to try. My Man Crush turned fiancé stop here for dessert and breakfast items. Awesome place to peruse and snack!

Yelp
This is a great location.  It meets the Whole Foods standard of excellence we expect. Fresh fruits and vegetables are terrific quality and displayed beautifully.  The bakery items are soft and always fresh. It makes me happy to walk thru these departments! Finally, the parking is terrific.  The lot is very big and is well lit. I feel very safe shopping after dark.

Yelp
2.5 I wasn't expecting a whole lot because this is a Whole Foods but for the most part, this store is well stocked, clean, and easy to navigate. The parking is fine but filled up fast because it's in a strip mall area. I guess if I had to say something it's a bit disturbing to have a serve-yourself macaron display with no tongs at all. Anyone could touch them and being down in a fridge meant anyone could cough on them. A bit too cringe for me.

Yelp
Smallest Whole Foods I have ever been to. Very lightly staffed and not a lot of stock. Went looking for one thing and they didn't even have it. Will stick with the one in the domain.

Yelp
Beware buying product from here! When we purchased salami from here last week, we neglected to check the expiration date, and when I opened the wrapper, the salami was moldy even though the expiration date was on November 15, 2022. I ate it, assuming it was just white and that a Whole Foods product should be of decent quality. Then, my husband told me not to! He also told me tasted so funky! I purchased three, and two of them had moldy with the paper wrappers. Tomorrow, I'll bring this one to WF to see what they say!

Yelp
Super clean and convenient store for all kind of items. From fresh foods to energy drinks. The Amazon Return Desk is a super bonus also....

Yelp
TLDR: This rating is for the made-to-order tacos served here - they're fine and don't change the rating one way or the other! I like Whole Foods, though one has to be careful while shopping that you don't end up spending the Whole Paycheck. This outlet of WF is geared more towards pre-prepared foods - you can read my other review, where I rated the store in general at 4 stars. I'm giving the same rating here since the tacos didn't change the overall rating up or down. That's not to say they're not good - but they are different. The WF Taqueria is located in the back center of the store, you can't miss it. While the individual tacos aren't bargain priced, you can get 3 for $8 which isn't a bad deal for what you get! To order, you need to tap out your selections on one of several touch screens at the front of the cooking area. They were out of Buffalo Chicken, so I went with a Kickin' Texan (chicken), Steak & Potato, and Chislom Trail (veggie). It was a down time so it only took a few minutes to be ready, and I could watch its progress on the screen above until they called my name. I paid, and walked past the registers to the very front of the store, where there's about a half-dozen bar-style seats to eat at or a few tables. Here's the question: Did I like the tacos? On the plus side, they're generous with the meat, topping, and sauces. The meat's tender, and even the mushrooms are fine. The sweet potatoes are even nicely roasted. However, both tortilla and fillings are definitely on the head-scratching side. I'm tempted to say that they're bland, but after more thought I'd call them 'healthy' tasting. What did you expect, these are tacos made with kale and jicama! Yet at the same time, perhaps the leaner meats, the oddball choice of dressings, and the lack of any real punch in the flavors will appeal to the WF crowd. As for me? Honestly, it was fine but it left me with a craving to visit a taco truck afterwards! Whole Foods as a Whole still scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Yelp
Today I stopped in while waiting for the spirit of Austin concert to start. First this location is just as pristine ad the day it opened. As opposed to shopping, the kiddos and I opted instead to get some grub. We ordered three tacos from the Taqueria; two steak and potato and one kickin Texas taco. The steak and potato taco had mushrooms, steak, potatoes and sour cream. The steak was tender and the potatoes were cubed perfectly and tasted great with the mushrooms. The Texas taco had a bit of a "kick" as the name implies as it was topped with fresh jalapenos and fresh slaw. Three tacos =$8.00

Yelp
Purchased grass fed New York strips yesterday from their "butcher" section. Grilled them today, ate them and they had a salmon taste to them. My grill has never had fish on it. Beyond bizarre. Whole foods, please clean your knives, cutting boards, and tables before mixing meats. Very disappointed.

Yelp
Stopped into 365 and the place has an amazing selection of ready made food, and healthy organic and free range products. I had the bagel, and price wise at $1.00 it was on the high side and a quick scan of other products was similar, breakfast tacos are $3.50, danishes $2.75. That being said the bagel was good and a reasonable size. It is not Einstein or any other bakery bagel quality, but is better then the frozen brands. I recommend giving 365 a try but I suggest passing on the bagels

Yelp
I have shopped at this Whole Foods a few times. It has been said that since Amazon took over the prices are more reasonable, I don't see it. When I go, it is usually for something specific. It isn't as large as the ones in Austin. Sometimes I go just to walk around seeing what's new. Yes, I leave without any purchases. Not really my type of grocery store but there are those that swear by it, so make up your own mind.

Yelp
The customer service is shoddy. Usually employees act like they don't see you...BUT the skewers are to die for! Skewers are better than Central Market and H‑E‑B. They have nice thin marbling throughout. I think the butcher said they were beef short rib...They're absolutely craveable.

Yelp
We ordered 2 Roasted Turkey Breasts from the Whole Foods catering service for Thanksgiving. It is supposed to be a heat-and-serve entrée. What we received when we picked it up was two partially frozen breasts. I asked them about this and they insisted that what we had received was fully cooked and simply needed to be heated according to the directions. We got the breasts home and took a good look at them. The skin was pale, not brown. The inside was pink. Perhaps it was partially cooked but it was absolutely not fully cooked and was very clearly not heat-and-serve. After letting the breasts thaw overnight we had to cook them for a few hours before they were ready, as opposed to the 20-30 minutes that the directions said. To be clear, had we followed the instructions of the staff we would have been eating raw turkey, which is to say it could have killed somebody if they ate it. For what it is worth, once the turkey was fully cooked, it was very good. But given that we paid extra for a fully cooked entrée, we got ripped off. We've tried contacting Whole Foods more than once about this and they still have not responded, nearly a week since Thanksgiving.

Great place. Freshest produce. People are very helpful. Great atmosphere. I would recommend.

Yelp
Inside: clean Parking; lots of parking and spots for electric cars Pricing: fair and reasonable for the product To go food; have to go at the right time for salad and food bars (if not then the food looks sad) Samples are always something I try and then end up loving and buying Customer service: everyone is extremely friendly and it's like talking to a friend Juice land: THEEEEEE Best!! (A bit pricey but you definitely feel the love and freshness of the smoothie) Wish 365 had more options inside but have no major disappointments

Yelp
I used to shop at Whole Foods when I lived in Los Angeles but stopped because it was too pricey for my budget. Since I was trying a new recipe that requires fresh veggies, I stopped at 365. The concept is pretty neat as well as the prices. The store carries 365 of Whole Foods most popular items. The prices are better than they used to be since Amazon acquired the chain. I'm an Amazon Prime member so I received an extra 10 percent off sale prices. The produce is fresh and even smells fresh. I will be back.

Yelp
Extremely large selection of merchandise. Taken eat meals sold by the pound. Parking can sometimes be difficult. Upscale urban vibe. Pricing on by the pound foods seems very much like what you would spend at A good restaurant, Unfortunately the flavor isn't always there. Great place to visit, but not the place where you can stay in budget

Yelp
Went shopping there today, saw one employee who was placing LaCroix boxes on the shelves , this employee had his face mask completely pulled down under his chin (his mouth and nose completely exposed). This was located at the "cooler room" where the vegetables are. I'm sure if management reviews their security cameras they can identify the male employee that did this. He didn't care that customers were in close proximity to him. I witnessed this for over 4 mins before he finally went to a back room. No excuse for this as an employee. 1:45pm 06/17/2020 And being Cedar Park there were several shoppers who were shopping there with no face masks on. I asked a checkout lady why people are allowed into the store without masks, and she said they are not allowed to enforce it, but she hates that people can come in without mask, she was really worried about it. Shameful that management do not enforce a no-mask policy. Costco can do it, Amazon and Whole Foods can do it also. Grow up guys, you need to protect your employees and your customers, you don't have to "wait" for the city/county to make a ruling. The pandemic is real, the spread is real. Please address the employee that wasn't wearing the mask in the store, and stop letting customers into the store who are not wearing a face mask.

Yelp
This store is clean, well stocked and the employees are nice but it's not the type of WF I was looking for. This is like the WF 365 where I infrequently shopped in CA. Austin is where WF started and I was expecting a traditional WF experience--you know, a coffee bar, fresh cheeses, store-baked breads and rolls, beautiful produce and chair massage. We drove 20 minutes from Georgetown. What a let-down. I think WF is neglecting its home state and putting all their efforts in Chicago and NY.

Yelp
This Whole Foods might not be as big as the other stores but it's really great. Been here several times and have had great experiences. Love there fresh produce and pre packaged things. Sushi is great and I really like there soups. Everything I've have ate here has been good. The staff is really nice and I've always had a great experience checking out. It's nice to have this store so close to my home. Great to have a place to get healthy options to pick up for a healthy lunch.

Yelp
When I moved to Cedar Park about 8-9 years ago this was a grassy undeveloped area backed up to a new neighborhood. There were few options in regards to dining out and organic groceries. Fast forward to today, I would say town is all grown up and finally have to market/audience for a 365 store! I would describe 365 Whole Foods Market as a scaled down version of Whole Foods that has a smart layout. It is so easy to navigate this store! Here is how I navigate the 365 WF in Cedar Park: STEP 1 - purchase a juice roadie or shopping Upon walking in there is a JuiceLand! I love JuiceLand and am ecstatic about there shop inside the store. There is grab n go juice and delicious food and you can also have a juice made to order. STEP 2 - get a basket and grab your fresh produce You will always find organic bananas and avocados in my basket. Note: this store also offers non-organic (less expensive) fruits and veggies too. STEP 3 - make a beeline to the center of the store This is where the sushi and the Snap Kitchen is and they are side by side. STEP 4 - head to the wine and beer section There is a cool tablet that allows you to find the perfect wine. You can search for a wine by name or filter on grape/price/tasting notes or grab a wine bottle and scan it for all the tasting notes etc. There is also an option to email yourself an recipe that pairs with the wine. STEP 5 - check out Pull up your 365 app for possible discounts. I usually grab a few RX Bars while in line. Pro Tip: if you only have a few items head to the express line at the center front of the store. STEP 6 - promptly proceed to Easy Tiger That is right, there is an Easy Tiger inside the 365!! Order a beer or wine, purchase a sandwich/sausage/pretzel & beer cheese and belly up to a picnic table on the patio. I sometimes order a rose at Easy Tiger and enjoy it with a sushi roll on the patio. This place carries some of my favorite products, kitchen staples and favorite restaurant/juicery. There is so much to love about 365 WF and I am happy it is in my neighborhood.

Yelp
I may have missed something obvious here, but I thought this place was pretty darn cool. If you're a devotee of #WFDomain or the flagship Whole Foods on Lamar, this "365 by WF" may come across as a Mini-Me outlet store, which it arguably is. But seriously, how many times do you really need three hundred organic cereals in front of you to choose from? I just happen to be big on coffee, and this place has the smallest selection I've ever seen. But it was also a pretty thorough collection of Cuvée, Third Coast, Stumptown, and the original Peete's, all in beans. I've never seen that in one place before. Pretty amazing. Lots of pre-made hot & cold food stuff, a digital taqueria, and both JuiceLand & Easy Tiger have a presence here. Gotta love the frozen mochi bin at $2 a pop. And if you do come up this way, definitely take advantage of their rewards card program with its daily bonus deals - you won't be leaving this particular WF spending your whole paycheck.
google avatar

Yelp
Think of this as a mini store, they have an interesting looking taqueria in the store and an Easy Tiger bakery, I may need to try both of these, as for the grocery selections and pricing...we were underwhelmed.

Yelp
It's smaller than the average Whole Foods--more comparable to Trader Joe's. 365 is focused on utilizing technology in the store (e.g. kiosks, etc.) and geared towards millennials who are on a budget (as a millenial, it hasn't won me over--I'll explain that later). What makes the grocery store unique is that each 365 has a partnership with a local brand--in this particular case, it's Easy Tiger/Juiceland. There is a Taqueria towards the back of the store if you would like to snack and shop at the same time--equivalent to Costco's food court. Many of the products are from Whole Foods' 365 line (surprise!)--I believe of all products they sell, close to 40% is the 365 brand. I don't see myself frequenting this place much since it's so far out and prices are still a bit high--yeah, they may be cheaper than the full-fledged Whole Foods Market, but WFM can be expensive to begin with (to elaborate Costco sells comparable items that are organic for a lower price per unit), but it's a nice addition to Cedar Park. Take for example the mochi ice cream--Costco sells 18 mochi ice cream for 60 cents each vs. WFM/365 where each one costs 2 dollars. That's nearly 4x the price. Is this really a good deal? Other feedback: Marketing of 365 has been inconsistent--it seems like they want 365 to be its own brand but still rely on the WFM name to varying degrees which leads to customer false expectations. I think this may have backfired in some ways as customers who are unaware of this "new line" will think it's a Whole Foods store, especially with the emphasis on making "Whole Foods Market" double the size of "365" in their signage--the original 3 stores placed more emphasis on "365" which leads to inconsistency. This gives me the impression that WFM is still not sure of how 365 fits within the company.
google avatar

Christian C.

Yelp
As far as doing your full on grocery shopping, I couldn't imagine going anywhere over HEB. With that being said, 365 is a cool market to pick up some tasty, healthy snacks and have a quick bite. They have a cool coffee/pastry shop called Easy Tiger located in the market as well. There are specific brands that they'll have here that you won't find at your normal grocery store. Definitely check it out if you're in the Cedar Park area.

Yelp
This review is for the Whole Foods Market in Cedarpark. The whole foods is in a block shopping center next to DSW , Nordstrom's rack, and Ulta. On the other side is marshals, Michael's, Old Navy. I had to park over by marshals. It was difficult to walk across the long lot towards Whole Foods, no stop signs. At least not yet. Inside, the store is a large, open space, reminds me of a mix between Walmart and Trader Joe's. Walmart because it is large and open and bright. Trader Joe's because many of the foods are packaged, marinated, specialty foods. NICE: The store does have a gender neutral bathroom. Another big plus that there is a juice land, the juice land is right when you first walk in the door. For five dollars, you can get a pastry and a coffee, but that is only in the morning from about 8 to 11 AM.

Yelp
I'm definitely a fan of this location. We've been long overdue for a Whole Foods up this way and while this isn't a full size Whole Doods, I'm happy to have this 365 location just a few minutes from my house. As some have already reported, this location is bigger than the local Natural Grocers and Sprouts and their selection is great. While their fresh produce to frozen goods and everything in between is awesome, I feel like this place really shines with its hot food bar, and grab and go foods - definitely a hot spot for lunch. There is a juice bar inside (JuiceLand) and also a Bake Shop and Beer Garden (Easy Tiger) which is a great perk and also provides some indoor seating and a large outdoor patio. Being that I work from home it's great to come here and work for the day - plus they have free Wifi! Plus they made it kid friendly with a cute little section on the outdoor patio for kids to have a bit of space to play. I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping for a big Whole Foods but for now I'm definitely enjoying this 365! And the staff are super sweet which always makes any experience whether a restaurant or grocery store 100x more enjoyable :D

Yelp
For all you Trader Joe's enthusiasts this is about twice the size but also a nice selection of prepared meals on hot and cold bars. If you are looking for a quick dinner this is a great place to get carry out. Pizza, soup, vegetarian, meat, potatoes, salad..... I also found my polish traditional pierogi here. Potato, Cheese & Jalapeño. Perfect for Christmas dinner. They also had some nice beef tenderloin. Same price as Costco and much smaller so it makes it more affordable for a family of three. I really like the quality of their meat. I hit up the soup bar and brought home some brisket chili. Can't wait to try it. Another customer raves about it. By the way they have awesome customer service. The checkout person shut his register down to show me where to find the pierogi once he looked it up and saw they had it in stock. Saved me from having to search around for it or make it myself. Whew! Nice selection for the size of the place. I'll be back!

Yelp
I was pretty impressed with this. I didn't know what to expect walking in and the feel is so open and airy it made it comfortable to shop. Unlike a typical Whole Foods. The salad bar was only 7.99 (I am used to 10.99 at my local Whole Foods). They had many coolers with a large selection of premade meals, sandwiches, salads. Their hot bar was fully stocked with a lot of options. The normal grocery section was limited, but I am here for work so was just looking for some options to grab and go. Can't wait for the one in Houston to open up.

Yelp
I got some Facebook offer to come out there for 10% off. I decided to give it a try. I'm glad they opened this place in Cedar Park. They have Easy Tiger bread there (yes even the pretzel). I wasn't a big fan of the store layout but maybe it takes time getting used to it since this was my first time. This store is out of my way, so I highly doubt I will come back here again unless I happen to be up in this area. Big plus? Juiceland is inside of this place!!!!

Yelp
This is a great addition to the other markets/retailers in the Cedar Park area. I'd been a couple times to visit the small bakery/cafe housed on the northwest end of the store. Overall I do feel the quality of the meats, poultry, fish and seafood are a step above as well as the produce and fresh fruit. Now that Amazon has acquired them and with the specials for Prime members, the new lower prices for all in the produce and fruit aisles and the extra 10% off Prime members baskets/--I have quit calling them "Whole Paycheck ". I think "Half Paycheck " is now more suitable. Additionally. I have enjoyed some great savings by submitting my email and have enjoyed coupons for $10, and $15, off my total of $50 purchase. Since I'm trying yet again to change my eating habits I have particularly bonded with some of the made without potato inserting carrot and white bean options they have which are frozen "French Fry" and are absolutely palatable. I've also found their ground beef of such high quality and it's in vacuum sealed one pound packages which literally can be tossed on the freezer and are solidly protected from flavor change or freezer burn. We've enjoyed a rotation of the produce and fruit too. Some of the bread they carry in the regular bread section is French or Italian loaves, sliced for sandwiches (these are not produced in their bakery). This reminds me of the loaves my mom would procure at a local bakery way back when! Just enough chew/crispness in the crust but surrounding uber soft and delicious (yep it actually has flavor) bread. The slice is thin which we enjoy for toast and sandwiches. Lastly I've purchased fish and seafood (admittedly on sale) that was very fresh. For the most part the team members are welcoming and helpful and I love that this 365 WF locations size is manageable. That about sums it up-if you have the opportunity to experience one of these well designed locations I encourage you to give it a try!

Yelp
Just moved here from Bend, OR. The WF here is way different, smaller, more easily navigable and with far better prices from what I have seen so far. Just tried their sourdough round. Very good for the price. Excellent crust and chewy texture although the taste is just OK as it is not very sour. As we live in Waco actually we only get to Austin a couple times a month but will definitely stop again, as we do with Costco and Trader Joe's as well.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed in Whole Foods. Please require people to wear a mask in the store. It's odd that you require the employees to wear a mask to protect the customer, but yet could care less about the safety of your employees.

Yelp
I wouldn't say I frequent 365/Whole Foods, but I do go there for the organic Non-GMO products that they carry. When Amazon acquired Whole Foods and prices went down, it was great! Anybody could have a Rewards Membership and it was a grocery store I could see utilizing more frequently. Until today. This afternoon, I stopped by 365/Whole Foods in Cedar Park and saw many sale items such as the store brand cookies at 2 for $5.00. But when I got to the checkout, these same cookies rang up at $4.89 each! When I pointed out the discrepancy to the cashier, she asked me if I was an "Amazon Prime" member. That's $12.99 a month that I can't see spending, I'm far from rich. So that's Amazon's new "Membership Rewards" program. If you ain't got Amazon Prime, you need not waste your time; don't put sale items into your cart. That ought to hit Amazon in it's soft spot (Receivables). So, I'll probably stick with Target and Sprouts for the imported Non-GMO stuff. It may be a bit pricier, but the sale prices are the actual sale prices are the same for everybody; member or not.

Yelp
Beer & wine while you shop... welcome to Cedar Park, Texas! Been shopping here once they opened a few months ago. Cheap organic produce, fresh cold pressed juice from Juiceland (store inside 365) freshly made tacos to go... one stop shop! This location is huge and it has a bakery section, small beer & wine section with anything from Old World reds to local finds. Plenty of local craft beers as well. My go to items here are the vegan veggie queso, Kerby Lane queso for the family, Taco Deli's Dona sauce and their salsas. I also love all of the plant based vegan options. Every week they have sales. Last week I saved $20 off $100 and today I got $10 off $75 Clean bathrooms, friendly employees. Join their reward program and give them your phone number at check out and you can save even more off their low prices. Nothing quite beats Whole Food's vibes and choices but this comes close. No beauty selection like WF except for a tid bit of shampoos and hair colors... nothing quite like the big daddy store! I love how I get free ice for my cooler to keep my cold stuff from melting in the Texas heat. I'm here 2-3 times a week! Lots of meals to go, hot ready made food bar with fresh pizzas by the slice or whole ones to go. Pre-made sushi to go and tons of juices and energy drinks at your service! Mochi ice cream! Bulk section, members save 10%. Small seafood department. Come check it out!

Yelp
Do not buy their wild salmon, unless you're not afraid to get some worms as a bonus!

Yelp
It's never crowded, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and it's super easy to get in and shop with the open layout. There's not as much selection per item, which is actually nice. You're not stuck with 80 types of toothpaste to try. Also, the bread selection is amazing because of a partnership with Easy Tiger. I actually enjoy grocery shopping when I go here!

Yelp
This Whole Foods is very basic. It's like a Target vs a super Target. Horrible comparison but you get the point. After my workout I was going here to get some bar food. Well everything looked dry and looked as if sat there for a while. The lettuce looked wilted which is surprisingly shocking. I did score some organic watermelon for $4!! I also purchased some bananas and let me tell you. It was horrible. When I got home, I peeled a banana which looked perfectly fine. But it had some dark hard brown stuff in the inside. I mean, I've seen a bruised banana. But wtf was that!! Gosh I wish I took a pic. I will stick to my Whole Foods at the domain. Quick picks for this location.

Yelp
I came here for groceries - not lunch. This "Whole Foods Light" was largely disappointing except for the fruits and veggies section, in my opinion. I'm not sure who made the selections for which parts of Whole Foods to include and dis-include in this rendition, but a lot of the things that I enjoy about Whole Foods are completely missing. 1. The meat and seafood departments are completely non existent. I wanted tilapia, and in their meager case of seafood and their tiny freezer filled with seafood, there was not tilapia, and there wasn't much else either. In their meat section, there was a little more substance, but not much, and everything was just as expensive as a regular WF, which was supposed to be one of the big selling points of this store right? Better pricing. Nope! And there were no meat or seafood counters you could go up to and ask for what you wanted..no displays. 2. No bakery, no cheese counter, no floral counter, no beer hut in the middle of the store to fill up growlers or hang out in. And only one single food service counter to pick up freshly made to go food items... well that's going to get super busy and backed up, isn't it? I guess they were hoping you would rely on their four aisles of "ready made" snap kitchen and WF meals and entire corner freezer of mochi, (??). Liked the salad/soup bars and hot bars though. 4. The frozen section was meager, and then of course they did have a few aisles over by the dairy that were canned, bagged, boxed, bottled things. Anyways... I just wasn't seeing much substance here, or concrete reason to do my grocery shopping here. A stellar fruit and veggie department cannot stand alone - if the rest of your store doesn't have the variety that I'm looking for, I'm out. While I was there, I saw a lot of people with not much in their carts just wandering around scratching their heads. I'm not sure why they cleared an entire forest of trees for this store, only to install a mediocre effort.

Yelp
Came for the soft opening today which was awesome! Yes it's smaller than other Whole Foods. I agree that the size is comparable to Trader Joes. But the pricing inside is the gem compared to other WFs. Nice price drops, good selection of fruits, veggies, meats, and seafood. Become a 365 member and you get $5 off your first purchase. They also give you 10 cent discounts per bag your bring for your groceries. They do have prepared foods as well. But don't expect the cheese monger, or a butchers for your meat. This place is more casual than that. Great selection of local products in the store. The best part for me though is the Easy Tiger inside. OMG! Fantastic sausages and pastries. Come check this place out. Definitely good for your WF staples but if you're looking for fresh seafood or hard to find ingredients, you're better off going to one of the WFs in Austin.

Yelp
I find that people either love or hate this place. It's not a full WF, with knowledgeable foodie employees and that cozy hipster WF feel. But it's also not a full-out discount food store so bargain-hunters will feel like they should have just gone to Sprouts. But for me -- it's perfect. vs. Whole Foods: - not as crowded or hard to navigate. I appreciate the open floor plan and how easy it is to see everything all at once. - great for a quick trip. don't have to make a decision over 5000 different kinds of cheese - prices are actually cheaper. I went to WF domain and the same strawberries were $1 more. vs. Sprouts: - not as extreme of deals - produce & fruit is prettier and fresher - service is about the same This location works great for me, so I end up in here once every week or two. I'm often picking up whatever the sale meat/fish is, fruit which is reasonably priced and generally blemish-free, and some frozen homemade pizza dough, which makes a great quick & fun meal for the kids to pile last night's leftovers on. Just think hoisin chicken & broccoli cheese pizza, pizza rolls with hamburger meat & cheese. I appreciate the weekly deal emails you can sign up for, and management has always been helpful whenever I've had questions. I almost always get someone asking me if I need help in the store. And there are enough sample dishes scattered about to keep my toddler & I powered throughout the trip :) I also appreciate the bags of ice at the front of the store for keeping food cold. Some wishes for this store: - That the outdoor seating area wasn't in direct sunlight during lunchtime. No way are my kids playing out in the full Texas summer sun, so that's ruled this place as an easy lunch date. - That there was more variety in fresh bread.

Yelp
Always stocked and always friendly. The 365 brand items are super affordable when compared with HEB.

Yelp
Overall the concept is interesting but absolutely falls short of a Whole Foods-like experience based on selection, stocking, prepared food quality. The big positive is the produce - not the precut/packaged stuff but rather the general produce selection. Definitely better than local chains and likely superior to TJs which is clearly what this box is trying to go after. Pricing is better than WF - or seems that way - for the produce. The layout with a cold produce area is interesting and Costco like but it's too cold! So lingerie gg to pick what you want is not fun. Also the selection in bakery and the prepared was shredded when I got there at 7pm. Bottom line - the world doesn't need a TJs alternative - WF cannot compete with what they do. For select hot foods (great brisket chili) and produce it's a go. Proceed with caution on your WF favs prepackaged.

Yelp
Finally! A Whole Foods in Cedar Park! This store is bright, open, and modern. It has a fantastic produce section (fruits are priced individually rather than by the pound), and a plethora of 365 and other quality brands in the aisles. I've loved Juiceland for years, and this location doesn't disappoint. I do have to say that I was expecting this store to be LESS expensive than the Whole Foods downtown, but it really isn't much different. People who come on Yelp and complain about the prices here probably never shop at Whole Foods. I am a budget shopper and I always search for the best prices, which leads me to Whole Foods frequently. If you live a truly healthy lifestyle, then you will know that Whole Foods isn't overpriced or "too expensive". Healthy food is more expensive most of the time! What concerns me more is thinking about the junk that is in the cheap food that some people buy... All in all, a good store. Ignore that haters that claim "Whole Paycheck". They don't shop at Whole Foods. I have been shopping here for 7 years.

Yelp
Smaller than regular whole food, but bigger than trader joe and sprouts. Excited to know Easy Tiger is in the store and have a small buffets area. Also, good organic vegetable area. However, I was disappointed by seafood and fruits selections. No wild caught salmon and not many kinds of fish at all. I will still have to go to HEB and Costco because of their prices, but will go there in stead of going to Sprouts as I want Easy Tiger breads and organic vegetable selections are good there. They had no paper towel in the restroom (run out) and air dryer was super loud (my kid did not want to use the air dryer). I was surprised by the fact that the restroom was not that clean as this place just opened up!? Anyway, you can spend $100 easily there like whole food!?
