How White Purveyors Came to Dominate the Fermented Foods Industry | Eater

"A major natural-foods supermarket in San Francisco where, by 2010, an expanded refrigerated probiotic-beverage section had normalized kombucha as a mainstream product; the shelf presence of boldly labeled, health‑marketing brands (with buzzwords like “rejuvenate,” “restore,” and “regenerate”) exemplifies how traditional ferments were repackaged and commodified for Western consumers." - Miin Chan

Yelp
Love this location. Great parking, right off the freeway, and in a lovely neighborhood overall. The people are pleasant and the overall layout of the store makes it easy to find what you're looking for. Their baked goods make you wanna break your diet lol

Yelp
Can never count on this store for staples: yogurt, milk, a solid produce selection. Their staff shoppers pay limited attention to their proximity to other shoppers and when they "run" into you, no apology. Even their tech is weak for SF. Stock your shelves at least...

Yelp
Extremely happy with the customer service I received from Paige, team leader of the bakery department. I needed something special for my coworker and was nervous as a result of unfortunately waiting until the last minute. Not only did she make it happen, but she also made it special. The bakery here is amazing with so many assortments of delicious treats. Everything always looks so beautiful in terms of desert at this location and anyone who I've ever provided a sweet treat from here feels so appreciated because of the quality. Thank you again Paige! I really appreciate you going above and beyond.

Yelp
This is the worst Whole Foods. No data or cell reception, making returns difficult. Always only one person working to return counter leading to long lines.

Yelp
Whoever was working the phones around 9AM Tuesday August 12th, has a serous attitude problem. I called to ask when the deli opened and you gave me the sassiest response. It really is not necessary! Whenever I go in person to this store, the cashiers in the front act MISERABLE. Would it hurt you to smile? I'm never going here again. Terrible service and the isles are very narrow and always full of boxes

Yelp
This is a review of their sandwich counter. They offer 9 different sandwiches ranging from $8.99 - $12.99 or you can build your own. Base starts at $9.99 and it includes 1 protein. There is a blank order sheet on the counter where you can tick off your choices and when you're done, you put it in the "completed" pile. Service is slow here. Came in on a Saturday around 2:30pm. 2 ladies working behind the counter, both completely ignoring the completed pile and skipping my order until I pointed it out to one of them. I waited way too long to receive a sandwich. Well at least my sandwich was packed with fillings and it tasted good too.

Yelp

Yelp
Great service and prompt as well. The lady at the front was very attentive to our request.

Yelp
Okay so let me start by saying this has always been my go to Whole Foods. I purchased this meat on 12/2 and opened it to cook it on 12/3. There's no reason why my meat should be absolutely brown in the middle and the outside of it red. This is a warning to correct whatever you think you're doing to consumers before I have to contact the Health Department and let them know you all are covering old meat with fresh meat and selling it to people. I am very upset and will be right back at the store tomorrow to get my money back. I advise people to have them open your meat for you to view the inside before they wrap it up and yes this came from the behind the counter where they have the meats. Do you want my family to be sick or what because now your playing with our health and they will get this store shut down if I raise hell how I really want to. Once again, the meat was purchased on 12/2 and opened on 12/3. Oxygenation definitely didn't happen within 1 day, this was like this when I bought it and thats just horrible. Just purchased yesterday

Yelp
Service at the deli counter was rude and slow. They had no customers and still had us wait for almost 10 mins while they cleaned up their own mess on the counter. Expensive and crap customer service. Molding fruit. Disgusting

Yelp
Sweet and very helpful encounter with Paige. I was worry to order over phone but didn't have time to go in person. Paige assured me and got the task done. Stressful to order during thanksgiving weekend. Paige was patience and gives great suggestion. I ordered the famous berry chantilly cake 1/2 sheet. Cake was moist and not too sweet with good amount of fruits. Easy pick up with plenty street parking and garage lot. Thank you Paige again.

Yelp
This review is for the bakery. The bakery staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They have the mango yuzu cake (which I think may be seasonal) which is the perfect balance of sweet and tart flavors in a dessert.

Yelp
To me this is the best Whole Foods in the city. This Whole Foods may not be the biggest but they have lots of products that other Whole Foods locations don't carry. Everyone who works here seems very helpful and nice. I was craving salad so I headed over to there salad bar. All of the salad dressing containers were full. The lettuce was fresh and so were the self serve toppings. For desert I grabbed a lemon cheese cake cookie. Yum! Try one if you can. They are located right next to the snack bar at the small cookie station. They also have a bar/restaurant downstairs so definitely check it out if you have a chance.

Yelp
I don't understand how the deli gets the sandwich wrong every single time. You fill out the piece of paper with exactly what you want on it. They have the paper, they see the paper, and yet they somehow manage to completely ignore instructions and make up whatever they want. I thought the first time was a fluke, since I ordered one of their pre made sandwiches and asked for modifications. I figured that's too difficult. Last time I filled out the paper order form, chalked the error up to bad juju or some random event. Third times a charm, just ordered a sandwich again and there are two items added that were not checked, two items not on there that were checked, and the wrong cheese. I give up. The store is fine, stay away from the deli.

Yelp
Continues to be the worst store in SF: after a week with no eggs was today the second day with no 2% nor 1% milk "365" brand. How can they not have their own milk?!?! And when you ask when they will have it you're send to customer services desk, which is also empty ...
google avatar

Yelp
2 stars for easy Amazon returns. 0 star for rude "service". I was at the self checkout in the middle of bagging up my entire number of exactly 3 items and some dumb guy thought I was finished and came up to my stand. I noticed my strawberries were getting squished under my milk so I took 2 seconds to reach back into and rearrange in my shopper bag. One of the workers came up to me and asked if I was finished. Well.... you see me reaching into my large shopper bag, what do you think? I said "sorry. almost done" I'm trying to rearrange my groceries." Then he tells me he needs the station for the next customer and to hurry up. Wtf did you think I was doing? Trying to move in?!! I took 30 sec to check out my 3 items and I'm not allowed another 30 sec to not squish my strawberries. lol what a joke. I was trying to be polite but I should have been rude. I will next time...

Yelp
Potrero Whole Foods is the worst Whole Foods Market in San Francisco. Terrible Customer Service, rude Cashiers, rude Cashier Supervisors, rude and incompetent Managers. Empty shelves, bad produce, no customer assistance when you need it is the norm here. I used to spend at least $200 a week at this location but NO MORE.! Save yourself headaches and go to Noe Valley or Stonestown locations.

Yelp
I used to love coming here but I'm changing my review due to the decline in a few areas: 1. I've mentioned to them (in the store) and on the website that they should not be putting the Bleu cheese next to the fresh chicken as the cheese falls into the chicken. They finally said "we can't do anything about it" because it's coming from "Corp" that we can't make changes. 2. The shelves have been fairly empty lately. Literally I went last night and half the freezer was empty. Some of the regular shelves have not been stocked up as well. 3. They used to have an olive bar, it's now gone, replaced with "cookies" 4. the quality of the vegetables/fruits have gone way down. Sometimes it's even hard to find decent produce such as fresh onions in decent shape. I go to Rainbow now, it has an amazing selection! 5. Won't go into the detail here but there are more homeless people frequenting the store, and they do not police this. Makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes and not safe as they have asked me for money multiple times. This is not the Whole Foods that I used to love. I'm sad that Amazon is bringing the quality way down and I will start shopping here less because of this.

Yelp
I was seriously creeped out by the vibe at w.f. Getting into the sutore from the parking garage is confusing. the phony happy face attitude, new agey slogans, and robotic employees are dreadful. Next Level Burger was no better- indifferent workers ( who can blame them?) and meh food. I waited 10 minutes to order coffee at the cafe, but gave up and left. You can get better food for less elsewhere...or maybe you just want to make Maga putz Bezos even richer. W.f. blows.

Yelp
I have been shopping here for years. The last 5+ years the customer service, specifically at check out has gotten worse and worse. I can forgive the empty shelves as I don't think that's entirely their fault, but what I cannot forgive is the ridiculous attitude at check out. Does it hurt to say hello, and maybe crack a smile once in a while? Further, if they EVER offer to bag your groceries it's like you've asked an MD to take care of a hangnail. We are not talking prime time either. It has been quiet early morning where they are simply standing around but I'm expected to bag my own. And, they are sloppy. I'm not going to point any one out because i'm not inherently evil, but there is one person who just wakes up on the wrong side of the bed every day. He haphazardly taped my food (once there was olive juice all over the trunk of my car). It's like the biggest effort to do anything, even ring up my groceries! Look I get it. Every job has its challenges but you do the best you can do. And I'd like to remind people that in a grocery story you are in a service environment where people have options. I will continue to go there due to lack of other options and they know it and perhaps this is why they don't make attempts to improve the experience

Yelp
This used to be among my favorite salad bars in the city. Sadly, in the past couple of months there have been more and more empty containers/trays (for example eggs and other veggies disappear regularly; radishes are now entirely gone) without being replenished. Even at rush lunch hour one-third of the containers sit empty. Quite embarrassing, especially given how well managed the salad bar area used to be. To the store management: the overall service quality at the store is still good, but please get back to the quality salad bar you used to offer!

Yelp
I've lived in San Francisco my whole life and I enjoy my local Whole Foods. EXCEPT hire FRIENDLY security. Dang are they RUDE! First of all you get a full top to bottom stare down once you enter I know they are doing their job but no "hello" "goodbye" they stand there and act tough but I wanna ask do they charge for being friendly. Plus I don't look like I'm going to shop lift. Maybe give a mean no hello to a potential "threat" but dang I'm not bringing no large bags or purses. I have the tiniest purse on my shoulder. HIRE GOOD BUT FRIENDLY SECURITY!! My husband has noticed this too and this is why I'm writing this.

Yelp
Shoutout to that one girl who just got back from her break who hooked me up with the prime savings. I guess she noticed that my phone wouldn't generate a in store code due to bad reception or my phone just sucks ass.. lol I didn't realize it til I saw the receipt I also didn't catch her name but thank you! Appreciate you!

Yelp
Called up an hour 1/2 ago asking if they still had their Salmon chowder, she said yes, they just made a new batch. It takes around 15-20 minutes to get there and surprised the canister was empty when I arrived. If something is selling fast, why not make more? Eggs display empty last 2 times I've gone, my Grillo-sweet and spicy pickles are gone the last 2 times too. No Bitchin' Sauce, no skim milk ever, just so much stuff isn't available, so many empty shelves. Purchased a dungenous crab 2 weeks ago that was tasteless and had a slight pneumonia smell, waste of $$$. I always thought they had supposedly the best seafood, I won't purchase seafood there again either. No consistency with this store. Who's the Manager, whoever they are, the place has gone downhill and I won't waste my precious time going there anymore! The place is just terribly managed as I've been coming for at least 13 years. Will see if other stores in the City are better tho shouldn't have to drive even further. This store needs to get their shite together!

Yelp
Went to Whole Foods. Asked for a large order of sliced cheese at the deli. The time it took for the deli guy to talk himself into understanding that i needed the order i asked for he could have b slides one, got my approval and had sliced 50 already. Rude af. He asked for supervisor and Derek the supervisor was very professional and took over the process and made it happen.

Yelp
Hey, this can't go on any longer - please fix your dining area/coffee bar area entrance door. It is making incredibly loud noises, machine like - it's broken. It's SO SO SO LOUD. It is horrific. You have such a nice coffee bar and the food is great - but if you can't sit in a quiet space, it's not worth it! Please, fix your door. Also, your poor coffee barista has been operating with a broken espresso machine since 2007. Your corporation is a billion dollar company. Get a new coffee maker and fix your screaming loud broken door.

Yelp
This Whole foods is a little smaller than some but still has a lot of things to buy. I did notice that they had a couple of different items available in their dessert bakery section like their macaron sandwiches. It tasted really good, definitely on the sweeter side if you need to satsfy a sweet tooth craving. Other than that, there's not too much of a difference from other Whole foods that I noticed at the time. I can see it being convenient in the area. The 22 and 55 bus stop only a block away if you need to find a way to get there. I did like that they have self check out option which some Whole foods do not have. Overall it's nice to stop by if you're in the area!

Yelp
So ,What do you do when 99% of the world has shut down and you find yourself with waaaay toooo much time on your hands? Well you go and get yourself an Amazon/Whole Foods gig that's what! For almost close to 2 years I had the opportunity of being employed by this mega corp. When there was literally nothing to look forward in life for months to come, and lack of J-O-B-S available, this new experience was my saving grace. Not too mention,a great benefits/stock and 401 K package. Heck Yeah! I initially started at the Castro Location but mainly alternated between Potrero and Soma. Hands down my favorite location was Potrero. The size, the whole layout and of course the peeps. During my almost 2 years I added some awesome life skills to my resume and met some of the coolest folks around. Shout out to some of my personal faves,Peaches, Brenda,Sergio,Jeremiah ,Chuck & all the dudes in the meat/seafood dept. and of course the queen Stephanie (Whole Body Department) who ALWAYS goes above and beyond for her stellar customer service. Also shout out to Juan Carlos and Sol at the Soma location. Although I am no longer with the company,I will never forgot this awesome place and the coolest crew around. Lots of laughs & good times along the way and made some life long connections = 5 Freaking Stars! And whenever I hear Tame Impala (Borderline) it will always remind me of PWF days.

Yelp
Why are they so effing stingy with the bags? Is it better for the environment if the handle breaks because you overstuffed it and now the bag is useless whereas I actually reuse and eventually recycle them? Thanks for ruining my cake jerks. This happens like every time too. Stop overfilling the bags. I'll pay for more bags.

Yelp
I have shopped at Whole Foods for almost 20 years, dating back to college in Austin. This location is the worst I have experienced. The only positive thing about my experience shopping was the polite security guard who greeted me. After that, the shopping experience went downhill. -Rude Prime shoppers, zipping around with huge carts, making no eye contact. -Inventory carts and cardboard boxes blocking every isle in the mid-afternoon on a weekend. -There was hardly anything on the shelves. Low inventory. I went for 2 items that I couldn't even buy. I am shocked Whole Foods allows this behavior. Normally, there is a great attitude and culture at Whole Foods. I walked away from here feeling saddened by SF's customer service and culture.

Yelp
I was in the neighborhood visiting a brewery and decided I needed a quick bite to eat. I noticed Whole Foods Steep Brew's beer tap list on Untappd and had to come in. The store is built on a hill, so to take advantage they put the bar at the bottom. This is a coffee shop and beer bar and it has notes of both. If you're in the grocery store, head to the left after the cashiers down the stairs and you'll find it. They bar is to the left, coffee shop to the right. To the far right is a burger joint with restrooms behind it. The main floor has comfortable seating areas great for reading or working. I bought food upstairs and sat at the bar to try a few beers. The tap list is fantastic, with all Bay Area local breweries represented. They offer flights so you can have smaller glasses of more types. Prices are fairly typical, especially since I felt the flight sizes were larger than a normal bar. My first bartender Rachel was super friendly and fun; Ro took over later and was great conversation too. I genuinely had a great time, it felt like a neighborhood bar. It's worth a stop if you need a beer or coffee break while walking around.

Yelp
If I lived in the area, I'd be shopping at this WF like a shot. This is one of the most pristine WF that I have ever seen. The bakery, deli, hot & cold salad bar is a dream. So many delicious choices and everything is kept tidy (so it looks good!). The produce area is super spacious and appears as a rainbow of colors. The demographics in the mid day skews to people in their 20s. But hey, this is a trch company inclined neighborhood so I understand that. Many individuals with lanyards around their neck are flitting around. These folks are Amazon shoppers. Seems Instacart is out! So many things to look at in the store that it's a bit mesmerizing. What I like most is the fact that there are not the huge signs indicating Amazon Prime sale items, which are off limit to me. Not paying Amazon $ I'd rather spend on food. The items they offer as Prime sale items will never make up a meal. And so, if I need something that is Prime only available I don't mind trekking to BiRite or my local indie shop to pick it up.

Yelp
This location is not in the busy area of San Francisco. It is not far from downtown but in a quiet area of Potrero Hill. I was told from other locations that there is no parking garage but I manage to find one. Out of the Ocean Ave and Market St locations this location definitely has a lot more parking and a bit bigger than the other two. Amazon Prime Now Shoppers surely are respectful when they are doing their shopping and not blocking ways for the customers. I manage to find their hiding area but could not figure out where they stage their orders for drivers to pick up. Here what I gave this location a five star rating. Whole Foods care for their team member and Amazon Prime Now Shoppers. I never seen Whole Foods make sure that these Amazon Prime Now Shoppers are actually working. When I went to the area where everybody gets their temperature check I never seen them make sure that Amazon Prime Now Shoppers are working that day. Note to other Whole Foods Market that have Amazon Prime Now Shoppers to be sure that they are working and not socializing with them during their day off. I found that this location self check out are laid out better compare to Market St location. I will come back here again when I am in San Francisco and I want to avoid traffic on the lower deck of the Bay Bridge.

Yelp
Ok this grocery shop is not Berkeley Bowl but they have to work on few issues! I come here because of the locations is closet to home- 1- hot bar: the food is usually not very appetizing or burnt and limited options and no healthy at all. Maybe they need to hire professional chefs to start making actual food instead of burnt sausages ??? 2- salad bar: is very limited with not so fresh lettuce or salads. They have to be careful with the quality and freshness of the food 3- Mexican bar: their burrito bowls are tasteless and dry without any flavor or spices! Again they should hire a professional cook who know how to cook taqueria style Mexican bowls and burritos General items: Their purchasing team need to invest in buying more items for variety instead of having limited skus, customers like more options to chose from There is lack of stocking items and many items are out of stock without replacement. Empty shelves is the worst thing in a grocery store! The managers here are friendly and they are doing their best but something needs to be done about the situation.
google avatar

Juliana S.

Yelp
I really enjoy coming to this small WF. They have parking garage and their employees are very polite and helpful. I find their cake section always stocked with many variety of it. I also like that Amazon shoppers here don't try to run over you as seen on other markets. On a busy time of the day i find their fruit and veggie section hard to get through. But nothing that a little patient can't help.
google avatar

Jennifer O.

Yelp
They should call this outpost of Whole Foods the mouse maze: I had a hard time finding anything. I went in looking for some prepared side dishes and nearly tore my hair out trying to find where anything was and once I was directed to the right place, I ran into dead ends of displays stacked like walls, forcing me to retrace steps and go down another aisle. The employees were very sweet but if this girl can't navigate a Whole Foods- and grocery stores are my jam- then only attempt to shop here if the need is urgent.

Richard D.

Yelp
This is not a good Wholefoods location. Availability: They seem to have issues with product availability with many items I'm looking for out of stock each week across the store (it's not isolated to individual departments) Shopping experience: The store is made difficult to shop with aisles blocked by staff restocking or online order pickers with large carts. I've noticed that this is true even shortly after the store opens when you'd expect restocking to have just occurred. I've found more often than not checkers and baggers not to even acknowledge you but continue their conversation with each other. I have had some great service from the employee at health and wellness that's regularly there. There are often very long lines without all checkouts open. Pricing: Prices are higher than other stores for similar or the same items On the positive side the quality of the meat and produce is generally high and so offer good value for the higher price

Yelp
This is my favorite whole foods. They ALWAYS have what I need. I don't do heavy grocery shopping here. I usually just come for quick ready-to-go meals and fruit and they always have everything I crave in stock. From the prepackaged pasta salads, to the chicken pot pie. I can always expect to get what I'm craving when I come here. Also, I just found out you can make requests for freshly baked muffins. Their zucchini muffins are THE best. I honestly should ask for the recipe, because at this point they're taking all my money lol. But I thought it was super nice that the bakery department took my order for six zucchini muffins. They even asked when when I would like them ready by. I'm not sure if this has always been a thing for customers, but either way it's definitely top tier customer service.

C C.

Yelp
I've been buying the majority of my groceries at this store for 11 years. Lately I've noticed a big decline in the quality of food, service and ambiance. Food. Lately- Many products purchased including meats and prepackaged items are spoiled the same day or a few days later but definitely before expiry dates. I mean many. My son and I got sick after eating spoiled meat that was prepared one day after it was purchased. Meat can't be trusted anymore. Won't be buying prepackaged food or meat there if/when I shop there. Maybe they need to be reported to the health department. They've been good at compensating me for the products. Service. Deli and Butcher customer service has gone way down. Checkers, too, seem unhappy, down, tired. Lots of turnover and service compromised with new employees or unhappy employees. The folks that used to work there were friendly and competent. Now not so much. Ambiance. Lots of gig shoppers clogging up the isles. Shelves are often empty. Not the quality I expect from Whole Foods. Gone way down. Will drive the extra miles to shop elsewhere.

Yelp
For a Friday office treat, we ended up getting pies from Whole Foods. This happened on December 1st around 2:15pm. The timing was great as we had more or less just finished lunch not too long ago. *Pecan pie: 8 inch *Apple pie: 9 inch *Dutch apple pie I'm not a huge sweets person, but I do love having dessert every once in a while. Since I'm not big on pecans, I tried both apple pies. I prefer dutch over regular as I like the crumble on top, but this pie seemed slightly over baked. Not burnt, but it was a little overcooked. Gave it a slight bitter taste. The regular apple was standard. I liked the fruit in the pie. We also got vanilla ice cream, so I made my slices a la mode. I do adore the bakery at Whole Foods for their strawberry whipped cream cake. But for pies, I thought the ones I tried were just all right.

Yelp
This is my local Whole Foods market and my go to whenever I need groceries. I actually enjoy the amazon takeover as I feel like this is no longer "whole paycheck." If you're a prime member, you get an additional discount on already discounted items. Score. The peeps working here are super helpful. I usually interact most with the seafood department and prepared foods. They have some crazy oyster specials on certain days. $1/oyster and they'll shuck for you. My only gripe is not only with this location but with the others also...the lines are always forever. Sometimes, the regular lanes are better than the express lane. Just pick a line and prepare to wait. Parking can be disastrous at times but they have plenty of spaces if you don't mind going upstairs. I tend to park on the street to avoid the in and out madness.
google avatar

Robert E.

Yelp
Since they were bought by Amazon they seem to promote home delivery and the in store experience is terrible. Few sales . No quick check out ( you have to go to self check out and do all the work) and there's no longer the passion for organic foods. For example the hot bar is mostly not organic.
google avatar

Yelp
A market that serves beer and wine as you shop. Ya buddy! 1st time that I have been to a Whole Foods that has a Cold Brew, where you can pull up a seat at the bar or relax at a table and and order a cold one and order a snack. Great idea! They service was fast and friendly. The place was nice and clean with a low key atmosphere. I hope they put one in all the stores.
google avatar

Matthew L.

Yelp
Potrero Hill doesn't have too many big grocery stores... Which makes Whole Foods your best bet for fresh, slightly over priced food items. Meat and vegetables are expensive here, so not my preferred place to get that. However they do have a good selection of cheese and wines, comparable to Safeway. Snacks (eg chips and ice cream) - also comparable in price and selection. One thing I do like about Whole Foods is that they have Bubbies mochi ice cream - a taste of Hawaii but in SF! Right now with COVID, there's quite a wait to get inside (due to social distancing) as Whole Foods isn't all that big. Be prepared to wait if you come during a busy time.

Yelp
I love cornbread and here, the cornbread is really bad it barely taste like corn or bread, it is mediocre in every way. I recommend getting cornbread anywhere else, literally. My friend also took a bite, and she is now v triggered, and feeling like she gonna have diarrhea. Upon analysis, the corn bread is loaded with wheat flour, making it quite shite. Avoid the cornbread. Its shite. Bathroom always smells like dirty socks. We will all be dead before seeing one example of extraordinary competence in this store. Security also profiles you, and has plain clothes guards follow you around if you happen to be wearing a beanie.

Yelp
I thought twice about leaving a one-star review as a result of one negative experience due to one employee but after reading through some other reviews, it seems this "holier-than-thou" attitude from employees isn't rare here. Here was my experience: After waiting in queue, I was warmly welcomed in by the kind gentleman overseeing the queue. He instructed me to "get my cart from the front". I misunderstood this as "the front of the store" and approached the blonde-haired employee who was wiping down carts. As I reached for the cart she just wiped down, she snapped at me and said with attitude "get your cart from the FRONT...like he said". I stared at her in silence, shocked. My useless and dumb 15 IQ customer brain realized they meant the front of the row of carts so I quietly took one, stood there for a couple seconds, and returned the cart to her and left the store without saying a single word. Not worth the frustration to me. This occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic, so people are feeling distressed, employees are tired and probably on a short fuse. I've worked in customer service and currently work in healthcare so I understand...but lashing out at new customers isn't the answer. Hope the team gets some retraining.

Yelp
I called to find out how many self-serve hot prepared food tray selections were available on site, i.e. the number of dishes outside of the food islands set up with salad bar items, garnishes, and roasted chickens. I was told 19. I like checking these hot bars at whenever I have a chance and eating a variety of food selections all at once. I wasn't a fan of Korean BBQ tofu w/ kimchee enough to eat it in a burrito out of a food truck until I had it at another Whole Foods Market location.

Yelp
Man, I hate this Amazon Foods. I went here years ago when they first opened. The deli selection was non-existent. Fast forward to today. They have some stuff but very little in the way of plant based options on the hot bar. Sure they have grilled tasteless veggies and salad with limited toppings. Who doesn't? Where the fuck is the Mac & Yease? Chef Ayinde would not approve of this bullshit. For that, they get no stars from me. There are much better options in the neighborhood to get something for lunch, cheaper and tastier.
