Google
Bought meat here and just 48 hours in the fridge shows this color (foul smell too), something is not right. It doesn't happen very often but I run into this issue around once a quarter. I hope the management takes a close look at the butcher section. For the record it was bought on 5/17 and today is only 5/19.

I went to my Whole Food yesterday to grab a few things for dinner. I was looking at the dates on the alfalfa sprouts when the person restocking the shelves rudely told me they are all the same. Then she step in front of me to continue stocking while I was trying to shop for the items in the refrigerator she was stocking. After 10 mins of waiting I decide not to make salad for dinner and walked away. So unfortunate, everyone is usually so nice.

Google
Very rude customer service. They always cheat you by putting something on sale but using a different price once you go to the cash. Always check your receipt. I shop there every week and every week I have seen how they cheat you. Customer service can't be more horrible. Also, they do not carry everything. Since it became Amazon, Wholefoods is terrible.

Google
Nice version of Whole Foods but I always find the layout to be confusing. We always find the quality of the fresh foods to be really high. When the meat and fish items are on sale the pricing can be quite competitive.

Google
Absolutely horrible service for Amazon returns. Zero assistance, brush off. Have to shove packages into a tiny parcel locker at a kiosk. Trash strewn everywhere, because there was nowhere to put the label backings and such from the kiosk. Multiple employees walked past me and didn't stop to help as I attempted to get my boxes into the locker.

Google
Healthy-oriented, efficient, compact grocery store. Offers ready made dishes, food buffet, smoothie/coffee, juice station. Easy to navigate store with plenty of clerks, sometimes more clerks than customers. Knowledgeable butchers in the meat department and fishmongers. Fresh produce and a bakery department. Has a neighborhood feel. Buy their 365 brand for competitive pricing. Some things are very expensive, but some items are fair priced. They have special deal every Friday, seating for eating. Parking takes a bit of maneuvering. Now owned by Amazon so sign up for Amazon Prime in order to take advantage of discounted deals with the Amazon Prime barcode.

My family was doing the shopping, and I was taking the photos for leisure. :) The flowers were very beautiful and graceful, and some fruits were very exotic. Haha 😂 Cheers!

Google
Decent Whole Foods location with tons of good bakery, cheese, produce, and other things. There is a two level underground parking that has enough space. Staff is friendly and helpful, easy to find. There is also lots of prepared food to grab.

Yelp
Generally, I go a WFM almost everyday~ at this location the ev chargers never seem to work, so I've stopped coming for the EV charging at this location. I'll head to the Redwood City or San Jose location instead~ though for the ccs chargers these two locations have only had 1 of them operating for a little while now. There is a smaller parking lot when you first pull in to the Right or you can continue forward into the parking garage. From the parking garage there are stairs as well as an elevator to get to the store. The bathrooms are right at the top of the stairs to the left.

Anita L.

Yelp
There is very limited parking on the ground floor parking lot, but they have more parking available downstairs. I just needed a couple of items but ended up purchasing a few more products that caught my eye as I was here. I don't come to WFM that often so when I do, I'm tempted to try items that are typically not available at my local grocery store. They have self-checkout kiosks available here which makes things convenient and efficient.

Yelp
What happened to Whole Foods? The store has terrible customer service. I tried to come pick up some groceries we had pre-ordered online and it was a disaster. It would've been way quicker for me to just go around and buy the things that I needed in the store. I had only pre-ordered it because we had an illness in the house and I didn't want to be wandering around the store but they made it so hard for me ...next time I will think twice about doing the pre-order pick up. I also found the customer service person short with me and with other people -- I wish the store would have a little bit more of a heart to it. It feels very cold.

Christopher L.

Yelp
I came in before the Supercharger closed and was rudely told that if I didn't finish by 10:30pm, I would be towed. I have been a customer since 2016 and was treated as if I were a criminal.

Peter W.

Yelp
Clam chowder was a culinary disaster. Were my expectations too high? Chowder was tasteless glop. My assessment was that it lacked bacon and who knows what else. My advice to Whole Foods: try some chowder from Sam's Chowder House then go back to the kitchen.

Gianna M.

Yelp
I love ordering the oysters they open them for me ! the two gentlemen in the back always very nice and helpful ! Today I ordered a pizza the gentleman that made my pizza thank you , very nice man and helpful ! Thank you sorry I was in a rush but you went out your way to walk to pizza to me thank you :)

E.M. W.

Yelp
Horrible prepped foods customer service experience. Every time we come to this store, it takes forever to get sliced meats. We have stopped going to this WF whenever possible due to this issue. WF: Please staff the counter and with people who can help us in less than 30 minutes (the one person who I've seen there in the last 4-5 months moves VERY slow). Also have you thought about cross training the pastry and sushi teams so they can help if you can't hire anyone to do sliced meats?!?

Zubin M.

Yelp
Horrible service for an Amazon return. Brush off, zero assistance. They pointed me to a kiosk with a tiny locker. It was near impossible to get my items into the locker. There was no trash nearby so the area was messy, and I unfortunately had nowhere to leave the label and bag waste that the kiosk requires. While I was there multiple employees walked past me without offering assistance despite the obvious shortcomings of the kiosk. I was absolutely appalled by the level of service.

Sunil R.

Yelp
I hope WholeFoods doesn't change. This is a good location. They have 2 floors of underground parking. All the good products and selection you would expect at a WFM.

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
Their customer service on the phone is iffy. Also though I think Whole Foods quality is decent, a bit overpriced, I don't mind coming here for certain things. However, I tried to call to place an order to pick-up an already-made cake (which they make everyday) but they told me I'm not able to? I understand if they are busy for custom made cakes but I am trying to order a cake that they make normally every day and pick it up in 4 days... I don't understand why I am not allowed to do that OR be able to place the order online (they don't have all the cakes listed on line nor all the sizes they have in store). Really inconvenient and doesn't make me want to go here for a cake again.

Yelp
I like this store and come here at least once a week. It is my go-to for almost everything. Occasionally, I will try some of their wine they promote on their end-cap, but typically I'll go to Total Wine for better quality/value or even Safeway for a decent California wine selection. Today, I experimented with an end-cap wine called Le Baron de Malleret (haut medoc) 2020. It was on sale, down two dollars, at $19.99. It had a bizarre aftertaste, not like tannins, and not as if it had turned but simply a lousy wine aftertaste. I attempted to return it and was told California State law dictates no returns on alcohol. For wine makers, distributors (in this case, Misa Imports, Dallas, TX) and retailers this is a great deal and one-sided bargain because they can essentially sell you bad wine and get away with it the first time. Please see the photos attached of the label and end-cap and avoid this product. I wonder if Whole Foods will remove it from their shelves and send it back to the distributor (who might just be trying to unload a bad year)? Whole Foods was fooled. Hopefully not again. Cheers! p.s. Sadly the nice folks who work here have zero authority and all they can do when you mention a product is to say contact wfm.com. Why does the customer have to take more time out of their day. Also wfm.com has no email. Their chat bot had 58 people in front when I went online and their 844-936-8255 is a call center in the Philippines. Actually this is the second time someone at Whole Foods has said to me to contact online. I tried and this system is broken. Why not fill out a feedback form at the store. Why does the customer need to jump through so many hoops? Make it easy for the customer not challenging. The customer is told to attempt to get in touch with someone at wfm.com. It is essentially impossible. Customer service at this level is sadly terrible. Whole Foods Market is telling customers directly that they do not care about their feedback. But, how wonderful for distributors. Once they get their product into a Whole Foods, due to their broken system, the distributor can dump just about anything on the customer. It will be months if ever before their product is pulled and by that time they've accomplished their task of selling garbage.

Yelp
WholeFood Market in Los Altos is pathetic! Empty shelves, unorganized and borderline dangerous when old scrap of food left in the fridge. Purchased a whole rotisserie chicken instead it was worse than the deli counter (cooked at 8am for lunch, dry and nasty). The store is in dire need of proper management and attention from WholeFood and Amazon corporate offices. This is our local market and we rely on WholeFood to offer good clean wholesome food for our families.

Baubak B.

Yelp
The Whole Foods market has all the tasteless prepared food anywhere. Full of hair and horrible. I bought two lbs of Spanakopita that I'm throwing in the garbage. I don't know what else to write as I'm hungry and can't eat the food I bought from them.

Anna L.

Yelp
Whatever the Spanish speaking man at the meat departments name is he is so rude and ignorant. Multiple times I go buy steak there with my mother and he says "are you sure you can pay the price" "do you know what kind of steak this is??" "Do you know how to eat this and cook this??" "This meat is expensive are you sure?" Don't discriminate your own people

Chris-Char T.

Yelp
Parking sucks big time! I came to pick up an Amazon package and shop as well. I asked a lady working to direct me to the Amazon locker. She replied "what?!" As if i interrupt her.

Fred T.

Yelp
So Ill be upfront here we are not regulars at Whole Foods. We have a smaller independent grocer much closer to us that has almost everything we need . However, we needed a bone in turkey breast for you sons 18th birthday (he wanted a whole Thanksgiving meal) we ventured in having struck out elsewhere. This 5 star review is about their butcher shop and Chris who took care of us. They were sold out.... So now we faced a choice: Move on or cook a whole turkey for 3 people. Chris came to the rescue. He freshly butchered two bone in Turkey breasts for us saving the day. He was polite, efficient and provided us with excellent customer service and save the meal. Thank you Chris!

Sam J.

Yelp
This Whole Foods is very clear and organized. Much better than Campbell's store. There is more space in this store and the staff is nice. I really like the atmosphere here and the people have great attitudes.

Roman B.

Yelp
I've never posted any reviews for chain stores until today. Come one, management, I'm a frequent Whole Foods customer across CA, and this store is a disaster. Constantly out of stuff all around, sandwich/hot food bar is the saddest I've EVER seen in a Whole Foods. Saw an extremely dirty and stinky homeless walk across the store, and not a single action was taken. Employees who clearly have no communication skills nor just the overall ideas as to what they're doing. I would think that one of the wealthiest areas in the country can do better than that.

Connie M.

Yelp
This Whole Foods has a better produce and fruits selection than the Redwood City location. It's larger and more spread out which I appreciate. came here for the beauty sale and they didn't run out of stuff either. Redwood City location take note! I also appreciated their supply of nut milks.

Matthew T.

Yelp
Shoppers here are terrible. A lot of pretentious people, the worst kind of neighborhood to see in a grocery store. Got cut in line, parking was a mess in the confusing one way underground garage. Also couldn't even find bottled water, every fridge is filled with expensive sodas and sugary fruit juices, especially the ones nearest to the checkout line. This is a far cry from other grocery stores. I thought this place is where you're supposed to be finding "whole[some]" foods? Honestly a terrible experience, and I regret coming here. If this is what you pay a premium for to go to whole foods, then it's quite disappointing.

Julia V.

Yelp
The fish smells very strong, and no one cares. This store generally has unexpected unpleasant smells here and there, but the fish department stands out. Fresh fish does not smell. I live nearby, so visit this store from time to time to get some bread or sth, and the fish department sometimes smells a bit less, but frequently it's awful. To buy the products for a week, we go to the Whole Foods in Sunnyvale. The Los Altos one is straight disgusting. I can't buy food in a place that smells like rotten fish.

Mark C.

Yelp
I know more pressing needs going on in the world. Some levity and seriousness. Whole Foods has 9000 plus items under their roof. Top notch pre prepared foods both hot and cold. ST. Patrick's Day, what does one eat, just for that one day a week, corned beef and cabbage. Not a hint of that " timely " dish for that one day. Administration oversight. Yes I'm joking , but just surprised.

Kyle S.

Yelp
I'm giving the store 4 stars instead of 5 because the cashier made me feel stupid. This was my first time in this store and I only came here because I had a gift card. I'm not in a financial position to be shopping at such an upscale grocery store. But I figured since I had the gift card, I might as well go on in. I bought some beautiful produce and a few other items and went to check out. I showed the cashier my gift card and asked if I should swipe it. She got highly annoyed and told me I needed to scratch off the part on the back to reveal the number underneath. Then she hastily told me to enter the number on the keypad. I don't even remember if I swiped it or not. I was very rattled. I apologized and said I had never been there before so I wasn't sure what to do. Her response? A loud sigh and rolling eyes. Please train your employees to be kind. I will use the rest of my gift card but I'll be going to another location where hopefully they will be more patient in case I forget exactly how to use the card.

Yelp
This whole Foods Market is the worst place I have ever been. I just ordered the meat at the meat section and asked some questions about the meat but the guy who was helping me seems unhappy and throw the meats on the counter at the end. Very disappointed about the service here.

Dinah C.

Yelp
do NOT buy ready to eat foods here. Food tastes like straight ASS. I just spent $90 on food from here, including vegan mac and cheese, some green bean thing with olives and capers, mozerrella pasta salad, blackened chicken breast, and a salmon nigiri sushi plate. lemme break each one down: -vegan mac and cheese: bland. nothing exciting here. i wanted so badly to like it but it really just tasted like nothingness. i felt disappointed in myself for allowing this food into my body. -green bean thing with olives + capers: the green beans didn't even taste like green beans? this dish was also entirely bland. it's like salt and pepper doesn't exist in the kitchen of Whole Foods market. -mozzarella pasta salad: got this for my boyfriend. he took one bite and then set it back on the counter and just left it there. that's telling. -blackened chicken: not gonna lie i did take a risk when i chose this item. i'm always pretty cautious when purchasing cooked chicken breast out of fear of it being too dry and flavorless. this was another lesson learned of how i should always listen to my intuition. the chicken was indeed dry and whatever seasoning they put on it was just for show, not for taste. -salmon sashimi plate: this was a platter of 10 salmon nigiri and a few salmon rolls. i guess i also should have known better than getting raw fish at a whole foods. the salmon was actually decent but the rice was not good. ruined the whole bite. the sushi was prepared that same day as well. forced myself to eat two pieces because i hate wasting food. on top of all of this, i also purchased an Oatly oatmilk that has a labeled expiration date of December 2021. i poured myself a glass and went to drink some but to my surprise, i slurped up a damn mystery blob of whatever the hell was in that carton. this may also be Oatly's fault but it just put the cherry on top of all the crappy food i literally wasted my money on. i really hate wasting food but i couldn't bring myself to finish a single dish. so so so disappointed. do not get ready made foods here unless you like flavorless, unseasoned food that tastes like it's only purpose is to piss you off and leave you hungrier than you were before.

Miliza T.

Yelp
convenient for me as this is walkable from where i live. i've driven here maybe once or twice and told myself to not do so again as the entrance to the parking garage is a nightmare and their lot in front of the main store front is super limited! not my favorite location but it gets the job done. i definitely like this one over the one in palo alto though. the self checkout lane comes in clutch for those days where it's super crowded or even when you're in a hurry.

Christine H.

Yelp
This used to be a nice Whole Foods location, however, on several recent visits I noticed several perishable items way past pull date, improperly stored cheese and refrigeration units that were leaking all over the floor. The Sunnyvale location is worth the drive, skip this one!

April P.

Yelp
The other reviewers here aren't wrong when they say the employees are extremely rude. I've been coming here for a year because it's the closest Whole Foods to my apartment. When I came in tonight with my dogs that I've brought in the store several times before with no issues, one of the female cashiers with long dark hair made a comment about dogs not being allowed unless they are services dogs. When I said "yes, they are service dogs" she literally rolled her eyes at me. First off, that's horrible customer service and rude. Secondly, under ADA law (Q8 A service animals do not need to wear any kind of special identification). (Q13 A. People can bring more than one service animal into a public place.) ( Q22 A. Service animals can be any breed of dog.) After shopping for a few minutes a woman was petting my dogs and excitedly talking to them which provoked them to bark in a playful way. A male employee approached me and rudely made a comment about my dogs not being service animals because they barked. Under the ADA standards (Q27 A. the only places that service dogs can't bark are quiet establishments such as a theater or library. Grocery stores don't fall into that category. Additionally, if they are provoked to bark OR bark just once then they are NOT considered out of control by the ADA standards.) I will absolutely never come to this store again. They have no concern for disabled people and lack professionalism. Please train your employees to understand ADA laws and treat customers respectfully.

Yelp
100% satisfaction guaranteed MY ASS. I just came back from my very last shopping at Los Altos Whole Foods. I had other unpleasant incidents here but they weren't annoying enough for me to leave a review or complain but today was the last straw. The dude named Xavier at the Customer Service desk (with a HUGE sign above it saying '100% satisfaction guaranteed') obviously has the wrong job. The whole time I was talking to him he made me feel like he was doing me a favor. I had to return a few items I've purchased about a week ago (non-perishable) at the Cupertino location. I asked a cashier if they take returns purchased from other locations, and was told yes. I headed to the customer service desk to return the items, and Xavier made zero efforts. There were no other customers he was working with (I was the only one at the service desk). 'Hi! I purchased these at another location but was told I can return them here. Could you please help me with the return?' 'Ya but sometimes it won't go through if it's from another location' (-silence-) '...ok. would you please try it to see if it would go through?' (scans the barcode twice) 'it's not working' 'could you try punching in the numbers manually?' 'I can't even read it because it's so faded' 'I can read it for you. You can enter the numbers then.' (I read out the numbers fine, and he could pull up my purchase record and return the items) Yes, my receipt looked a bit faded but it was only a week (or less) old. I didn't even have to repeat myself because I could totally see the numbers but he didn't even bother to try reading it or taking a second look after the barcode reader failed to read my receipt. This location obviously doesn't give a shit about customer service because I just read another review with this dude's name and his shitty customer service (there are SO many complaints here on customer service for this location), yet he is STILL just sitting there with his careless ass. There are identical replies to all low reviews commenting 'We're sorry to hear about your customer service experience. Please use the following link for further assistance, wfm.com/help.', which directs to a 'help' page on WF talking holiday shopping and stuff LOL...not even a number or a page for complaints. At least take down that huge '100% satisfaction guaranteed' sign.

Carol M.

Yelp
This location has dramatically reduced their bulk foods section recently. I'm going to have to switch to somewhere else now!

Jonathan M.

Yelp
I went in today on a Sunday parked in the parking garage. It was 745 I walked in early started shopping. I had no clue that they were closed because some Amazon shoppers didn't say anything to me, Amazon shoppers just ignored me and didn't say anything to which I wasn't supposed to be there. The lady working told me I needed to leave. She was extremely rude and was yelling at me; extremely serious with and told me to leave, I didn't know that they are open at 8 AM; I thought they opened at 7 AM. Horrible place and they shouldn't be yelling at me if I had no clue they were NOT open. They need to "LOCK"THE GARAGE DOOR BELOW to keep people from walking inside. I've been going to This Whole Foods for years and I've never experienced this type of disrespect, saying "GET OUT", you need to "LEAVE", she could have said it much nicer.

Sophia Y.

Yelp
Kudos to Dave in prepared foods for helping me get my catering order and helping me put it in my car. Lots of people there but all busy with ??

Tesh R.

Yelp
Pretty decent store. With this covid 19, it has made shopping an in and out experience. Not too much to choose from. Shelves were bare, but the salmon was the best!! I will probably try this location again after this whole thing blows over.

Joey V.

Yelp
I am not sure what to think?? Well lets see, when it first opened I was elated. After all, another Whole foods in the Peninsula outside of Palo Alto, Redwood City and San Mateo. So that said, this may be a bit more convenient and quicker to get to given where I live. So for those of us in Los Altos/ Mountain View and even S Palo Alto, this is a great location. So back to when it first opened ( is your mind slipping Joey?) :) it was wonderful..what has happened? Well just from observation what I really like is the selections and the health items in their health section. What I dislike is some of the employees that have an arrogance to them, as if they are doing you a big favor! Another issue is that I have noticed while in line the checkers sometimes are holding conversations with other checkers and baggers and ignoring the customers, I have seen this now on 3 occasions and it is bothersome. You do not see this with the older workers..management this is really not cool. It seems the other Whole Food locations such as PA, RWC, San Mateo and even in the South like Cupertino have much better customer service. You would do yourself a world of good in this store if you were more tuned into this. This will take away from the customer experience.

Sandeep R.

Yelp
Below are some important details for visitors This surely is one of the larger Whole Foods chains and has 2 levels of parking plus a limited outdoor parking space. It's important to note that it's mighty crowded to visit here on Sundays but not as much crowded on Saturday evenings. [I've typically seen this place to run out of Lactose Free milk and fruits by Saturday evenings :-)] You might find the fruits and vegetables [especially the organic ones] to be priced a bit higher than the other outlets but then again that's always been the case with Whole Foods. None the less, the service has been top notch fantastic, the staff has always been kind and helpful and self-checkout tends to save a lot of time [plus always perks for a prime member]

Ben H.

Yelp
Great service, food, and ambience and I love getting sandwiches from here. The bread could be better though

Giovanna R.

Yelp
This Whole Foods location is my go-to! I prefer it over the one in Palo Alto because it's much bigger, so they have a bigger selection of items. The staff here is always super helpful and friendly. On a side note, I hear the prices are suppose to decline a bit now that Amazon owns them...hmm. We will see. For a quick desert stop, Smitten has a spot here near the entrance :). I will say, I prefer shopping here in the late evenings because it's when you have the less crowds! One way or another, I recommend Whole Foods. It can be costly, but to invest in good quality foods that do that body good, it's worth it. :)

Yelp
We bought food from salad bar and hot bar often from a number of Whole Foods stores in the Bay Area and LA for about a decade. We usually mixed items from salad bar and hot bar, because the prices were the same and it made hot bar items not too salty and salad bar items not too cold. There was never a problem until I was approached by an employee at self-checkout at this store yesterday (Friday, Dec. 16, between 3pm and 3:30pm). While I was checking out by selecting salad bar from the screen, the employee walked to me and said that I needed to select hot bar instead because I had hot bar items in my box (Was he following me ?!). I told him that there were items from both salad bar and hot bar, and considering that the prices were the same, it would not matter whether I selected salad bar or hot bar. He said assertively that hot bar items were more expensive. I offered to walk him to the salad/hot bar area to check the prices together. He did not respond to my offer, but changed the item in the checkout system to hot bar himself. He further told me that, if I did not want to pay higher price for salad bar items, I would need to get another box and separate salad bar items from hot bar items. Really?! I was astonished, so I had to firmly ask him to check the prices from their checkout system. This time he checked and found that the prices were exactly the same as I said earlier. I told him that I bought salad/hot bar items quite often, and had never had any problem before. He apologized to me eventually. I would like to ask the employee and the management team to reflect on the following: (1) Was this employee's behavior discriminatory? Did he follow Caucasian to check what they put in their brown box? Did he approach them during their checkout and refuse to check the price with them? Did he ask them to separate items in their brown box? There were concerns about racial-based discrimination at this store, please also check 1-star and 2-star reviews from other Asian customers. (2) Was this employee trained properly before being allowed to work with customers independent? Did Whole Foods expect their employees to know that the prices for salad bar items and hot bar items were the same? Did Whole Foods expect their employees to refuse customers' requests to check prices together when there was any disagreement? (3) Let's imagine the situation that a customer mixed items of different prices in the same brown box by honest mistake (not sure whether this could happen at Whole Foods; we did not have experiences buying other prepared foods). What would be the proper response of an employee? Should the employee ask the customer to pay by the price for the more expensive item? Should the employee ask the customer to separate them? What is the image that Whole Foods would like to have in your customers' minds? Hope this review will give you an opportunity to reflect and improve.

Tom H.

Yelp
I'm writing this review because the management of this whole foods is so poor that it's kind of mind-boggling. I go in there couple times a week to get lunch before going to work. 50% of the time at the sandwich counter you can't get a sandwich even made. They always have some excuse. Or if you can get a sandwich made oh I'm sorry we don't have lettuce for your sandwich. Really you don't have lettuce should I walk over to the produce department and go get you some. So now you're telling me you don't have gluten-free bread today. Should I walk over to the bread aisle and get you a loaf. So today I went to the customer service desk and had to search out that person because they were hiding behind the wall staring out the window basically doing nothing. When I told her all about it she did yes nothing. It's amazing all that money that huge store and they can't even put someone behind the counter to simply make a sandwich. It's crazy. I also should add here that the only time I've ever been able to get a sandwich there is one there's one guy there on a Saturday and a Sunday I can't remember his whole name but I just call him Chi. He's a super nice guy makes a killer sandwich has a great personality and really takes care of the customer. He wasn't there today he was out with A bad ankle I was told. Anyway I don't want this to reflect in any way upon Chi. He's the best I give that guy a raise and put him in charge of the whole friggin counter.

Yelp
This is one of the places to go to when you are either looking for an item that is not readily available at the "big" supermarkets or if you want pick up a variety of hot foods. The underground parking is large enough no matter how crowded they get. The only issue that I had was during my last visit there. I ordered a tuna sandwich and the person helping me did not know what was supposed to go into it!

My fave While Foods to grab a burrito bowl when the hankering hits! Why? I can ask for steamed kale and sub quinoa for rice. It may or may not be extra but this bowl = 2 meals for me. Some of the other WF delis don't even have a person taking your orders anymore, you'll have to place your order using the kiosk, while it's convenient, it also means less personalization possibilities.

Yelp
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE Overall, this Whole Foods feels safe to shop at. I went on a Sunday around 5PM. There was a line that formed outside the store with X taped every 6 ft. apart to ensure social distancing. A Whole Foods employee stands at the door to control traffic in/out so the store doesn't get overcrowded. Once inside, it felt spacious enough to be 6 ft. apart from people. However, small aisles and the frozen section are usually more packed with people, so I just waited until they cleared out. A good amount of people wore masks, and some wore gloves. They don't let you bring your own reusable grocery bags--you must purchase paper bags. There were lots of fresh produce and most food items were still in stock. But here's a picture of the tragic chocolate section. Compared to a Whole Foods I went to in SF last week, this one had more items in stock like hand soap. It was also less cramped than the one in SF (the SF one wasn't regulated too well). Stay safe, healthy, and positive everyone! And a big thank you to grocery store workers!!

Yelp
One of the larger Whole Foods I've been. Hell, it even has an underground parking garage! It's still pretty typical of any Whole Foods, lots of good stuff but always a bit more on the expensive side. It's mostly all organic so that's great, but remember you're also helping Amazon become even larger than it already is! Still, I love Whole Foods, so I can't complain too much.

Yelp
In terms of the store itself and product quality, this Whole Foods lies somewhere in the middle for me. Not as good as the new Whole Foods at Santa Clara Square but better than others in South Bay. My issue is with the staff. Despite seeing a good number of employees in the store, on numerous occasions, there has been nobody at the sandwich station and I've had to track down someone to make sandwiches. Additionally, I've never felt more rushed at a grocery store checkout than at this store. On my last stop in, I had barely put my credit card back in my wallet before the woman working the express checkout lane had already scanned all the products of the person behind me. I ended up accidentally leaving a drink behind that I had placed near the card reader because the person in line behind me had already moved in front of it before I could even place my 3 items in my bag and leave. While this location is convenient for me, the so-so service is frustrating at times and makes me hesitant to keep returning.

Yelp
Whole foods should change their slogan to "Whole foods -- We want your whole paycheck"..!! Everything(from various brands) is available at one place but that comes with a hefty price. The prices are so high that I can get the same organic food items from trader joes and costco for half the price(costco even less). So I shop here only for the groceries that are not available in trader joes or costco.

Yelp
I want to take the time to recognize the bakery department at the Los Altos store. My wife requested I get a Tiramisu cake for her birthday. I live very close to the Cupertino store and tried to get it there. No dice. They never seems to have the round cakes and when I called 3 days in advance they told me "no way". So I called Los Altos and they had both 6" and 8" cakes freshly made that day. It was set aside for me and I drove the distance to get it. When I arrived they quickly decorated it. Such as pleasure to deal with people who are customer oriented. Get the picture Cupertino?

Yelp
Much better stocked now even at 8 pm on a Saturday night! I had some issues last time I shopped here that late, but it doesn't seem to be an issue now. The produce section was well stocked, so anyone needing to do their shopping would not be disappointed. I was really happy to find that they carry San Marzano canned tomatoes! I needed a couple of 28 oz cans for the tomato sauce part of the Chicken Parmesan I was making for a late lunch with friends and I was able to purchase them here. San Marzano tomatoes make the best sauce, and I was really hoping I'd find them here. Only the best for my friends! We were also able to get a good price on Air Chilled Boneless Skinless Breasts. I needed to feed 5 adults and I was able to get a package of 6 breasts for $15. Not a bad price for high quality chicken. It's always a bonus that Smitten Ice Cream is next door. I just had to have my dessert fix after grocery shopping!

Yelp
Whole Foods Los Altos is the way to go if you go Whole Foods. It's a spacious store. It has underground parking that blissfully shady and cool in the summer. The prepared food section is much larger than the Palo Alto WF, and you don't have to fight for parking either. The cheese section in this whole foods is clearly the centerpiece, literally and figuratively. The store was clearly architected around it as it sits in the center with a curved design. I had a request for a 5-year aged Mahon. They didn't have it in stock but suggested a very good alternative that I ended up enjoying more. The butchery is also splendid. Note that if you get a steak or some ground beef, they are happy to add the seasoning of your choice at NO CHARGE. Also, they are happy to form ground meats into patties. Great service, spacious, and not crazy busy. This is a great WF.

Yelp
If you like overpriced products and employees that treat you like they are doing you a favor by shopping at Los Altos Whole Foods then this is the store for you. There are about 10 check out lanes and usually only 1 or 2 are open so I usually go to the self check out when I am forced to shop here. I tried to return an item today and Xavier at the Customer Service counter couldn't have been more unpleasant. He actually threw my receipt back at me when I tried to explain to him which item I was returning because he thought heirloom tomatoes were watermelons. This is a store with a Whole Lotta Attitude and wholly terrible customer service.

Yelp
Understaffed, expensive, and not what it used to be. I like Whole Foods, some of the food options are great. But how slow it is means it's Not worth the time. A 20min shopping trip turns into a hour. With the understaffed deli counters and check out lines. I think they know this, but don't have the resources to fix these problems. Not the same since they were purchased by Amazon
