Mitch McConnell Is Not Whole Foods’ ‘Person of the Year’ | Eater

"An Amazon-owned grocery chain founded in 1980, the supermarket became the focus of confusion and consumer outrage when a separate, similarly named monthly trade publication named a political figure its 2019 “Person of the Year.” Many shoppers — some vowing to stop buying there — mistakenly blamed the grocery chain, which has repeatedly clarified on Twitter, its website and in its bio that it is unaffiliated with the magazine and did not bestow the award. The retailer has been actively reassuring customers about the distinction between the two organizations amid the controversy." - Jenny G. Zhang

Google
I absolutely love shopping at Whole Foods Market! The quality of the products is always top-notch, and I can always count on finding fresh, healthy options. I’m a huge fan of their cakes and soups—both are consistently delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. The cakes are perfect for any occasion, and the soups are hearty and comforting, especially during the colder months. The store itself is well-organized, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Whether I’m stocking up on groceries or treating myself to something special, Whole Foods never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Despite the convenient location, some cash register attendants here are absolutely rude. After notifying one woman that I was going to put back an item that I realized I didn't need, she shot me a dirty look and shooed me away like a fly. There are plenty of other markets to shop at, if this is the treatment I'm going receive.

Google
A special THANK YOU to the employees (3) who were working at the three flower tables specially setup just for Valentine’s Day. There was a steady line of customers filing up to them. The employees would strip the bouquets down, clean them up, arrange, and re-wrap them. Almost feverishly in how they worked. I ran a manufacturing company for many years and was impressed by their drive. They were hustling and focused. Pretty impressive. And they had good support too with a clean up crew (Jean at the time) working around them in support. To the Madison Whole Foods MANAGER: Good job in the setup and I hope those folks earned a nice bonus or kudos bc they sure deserved it!

Love the fresh organic produce! Tons of variety! They also have a huge Whole Body department in the back of the store with the most knowledgeable teammembers. Totally worth the visit even if you're just food shopping!

Google
The place is a little narrow and smaller than other locations, some of the items were pricier than other WFs too. Nonetheless it has a good selection.

Very difficult to find parking. Very limited fruits & veggies selection. Not the same as it used to be when started. Private equity & amazon have ruined the experience. Will prefer ShopRite any time over the current whole foods.

Yelp
Thank you for responding to my issue , Whole Foods Customer Service. I did not get a call back and I did go to your help URL. I know everyone is busy so I went through my bank and received a full refund earlier today! Thank you. All good.

Yelp
The organic peaches and nectarines at the Madison/Rose City Whole Foods have been a big disappointment this season. Despite their looking pretty on the shelf, they're hard as a rock and lacking the scent of a real-life peach. I keep hoping each batch might be a good one. As they ripen at home, about half of them reveal serious mold. I've given up and am now going to nearby Trader Joe's (Florham Park) instead. The organic peaches and nectarines there have been amazing. What's the story, Whole Foods -- Are you counting on most people not having the time or energy to return the fruit for refunds or not switching to another store?

Kate K.

Yelp
I asked two staff where nuts were located. They were both willing to help but neither had any knowledge of where they were. It'd be helpful if the staff knew the store layout. In the end I found them on my own. Also, the fish department should not smell like that. There was a horrible odor coming from the seafood area. It put me off even looking at what was available. It doesn't matter how fresh the fish up front looks. If the back smells like that something is wrong.

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews, but this store has been so inconsistent that it's become genuinely frustrating. The coffee bar closes regularly , without any clear schedule. I have tried to even call five minutes before arriving to make sure it was open, and they said yes... only to show up and find a "Closed" sign. Pretty sure this store makes enough of a profit to hire a full time barista... They also tend to be out of stock on a lot of basic items, which makes shopping here feel like a gamble. I get that Whole Foods is part of Amazon now so they probably won't care enough to fix this issue but this feels like a problem specific to this location and it's making it hard to stay a regular customer.

Yelp
maybe it's just me but everytime I buy meat at the butcher counter the people behind the counter dont listen to what I ask for have "0" personality and are rude. everytime I ask for filets that are same size unwind up with different sizes. there is "0" customer focus and for what we pay inwoukd at least expect a smile

Yelp
One would be tempted to think grocers care about consumers to bring the best quality foods or do they just think of $$$... Is there any reason why the grocer who advertised the highest quality products would withhold the product that would remove 100% wax?? Asking for a friend.

Yelp
They have great chicken soup It is a nice calm place without any yelling or screaming The cashier we went to was very nice and helped my child's coin collection

Yelp
My wife buys meat at Whole Foods, Madison, NJ. Yesterday she brought home two Strip Steaks, because there was no Filet Mignon. The steaks were very bad. They were tough and almost impossible to cut and eat. Upon looking at other reviews I found one that said Whole Food's steaks were uneatable. Their chop meat is fair at best. So that is the end, no more steaks from whole foods, I'll head over to Barth's in New Providence, a true Meat Market and Stay away from Whole Foods Steak.

Yelp
I would give this a higher rating except today I found a hair in my packaged ceasar salad .

Yelp
Winnie is awesome at arranging flowers! She made the beautiful flowers I purchased look even more beautiful! Thank you Winnie!

Tatiana K.

Yelp
This is the second time this happened. They advertise the chicken on sale, but when you scan the code, the code shows a higher weight so that the sale price (@$2.99/lb) total now matches the original price (@3.99/lb) total. The weight of the chicken when scanned is substantially higher than the actual weight (both when weighed on scale, and written on the tag). Since I brought it to their attention before, at this point, is called defrauding the consumer. When I asked to speak to the manager, John came and re-did the tag. He told me that i should just keep bringing it to his attention. No apologies, no 1st pound free. Turns out he's not a manager. When I called and asked to speak to manager of meat dept, they forwarded the call to him. He said he's not the manager, and there is nothing else he can do.

Yelp
Agree with many reviews if poorly run store. Some staff is so unknowledgeable. Took me asking three people before someone could show me where buttermilk biscuits were. But the worst part is the guy behind the the hot food bar who is not wearing a mask and sneezing. Seriously?! Go home if you don't feel the need to wear a mask. And not ONE employee is pleasant or seems to want to be there.
google avatar

Elle C.

Yelp
Their signs are deceiving. I inadvertently spent $12 on 6 macaroons, and another $10 on Mochi ice cream, because the price on the items was per weight, while the register rang them up as per item. The price was $2 per 6oz, register said they were $2/ea. Now, perhaps each macaroon weighed exactly 6oz, even if they do, the sign misleads you. Why not write "$2/ea" unless the intention is to get you to buy more than you want? I feel like I just went to a casino. Casinos do what they can, with tricks and quirks, to get you to spend money. Is that it, Whole Foods? You a Whole Casino now?

Yelp
I like this Whole Foods. It's much bigger and has a lot more stuff than the Morristown location, including the Whole Foods health/wellness attachment to the store. The produce is always fresh and they have a great selection. The prices at Whole Foods is generally higher than other supermarkets but their sales are pretty good and the amazon prime membership helps too. They also give 10 cents back for bringing your own bag.

Yelp
Full disclosure: I tend to come to this Whole Foods at odd times (like 2PM in the afternoon on a Sunday) so I have not been here at what I would call "peak" shopping times. When I think of Whole Foods, I usually think of large, chaotic stores. Sure the shelves are often arranged nicely, usually there is plenty of stock, but boy, shoppers can really pile up at a Whole Foods! In sharp contrast, this Whole Foods is rather small and quaint. Due to its smaller size the various aisles and stands are packed together much closer than a typical Whole Foods, but the decor and their groceries are all what you would expect at a Whole Foods, ranging from brands you can find just about anywhere to more obscure brands (my current favorite being Fourth Creek relish). This location also has a steam table (and cold table) section near the deli area. Of all the Whole Foods I go to, this one has the smallest number of food items to select from, but you could still have a good snack or meal here. One big difference this location has from others is a really nice Health section filled with vitamins, lotions, oils, soaps and more. This section is actually connected to the larger store via a small hallway and it is nice to check those items out in peace without the din of the rest of the store in the background. This store is always clean, organized and inviting. I admit I have not had many dealings with the staff beyond the typical check out, but they have been helpful and friendly in those cases. I enjoy coming here even though it is not my "go to" Whole Foods.

Yelp
Have been shopping at this location for the past several years. They have a great selection of items but the complete disinterest, poor attitude and incompetence of the staff here is enough to make me stop coming here. Whole Foods has a great program where they offer kids free snacks to munch on while shopping with there parents. Today, when my three year old son politely asked the cashier working behind the customer service counter for his snack, his request was quickly met with a mean annoyed glare. Really unnecessary. When I got him from our shopping trip today, I went to unload my groceries and realized the clerk had filled my insulated bag with all dry food products and put all my dairy and perishable items in one of my regular reusable shopping bags. I drive 20mins to this location, so the I bring the insulated bag to ensure that my food stays fresh during the drive home. Total lack of interest and care. Go elsewhere.

Jessica P.

Yelp
Store associates are incompetent. Jacqueline "helped me". Which meant she was unable to help me and instead of finding a solution she just left the phone on hold for north of 25 minutes. Mature solution.

Yelp
Was in the area and didn't want fast food so my son told me about the buffet at Whole Foods. So I gave it a try... I was shocked to find a delicious Chicken Tikka Masala and a Balsamic Chicken. Also had a very good Lobster Bisque, though just like almost every one I've ever had it could have used more lobster. Now for the odd one...they had fried or roasted Brussels Sprouts that were really incredible. Yeah...Whole Foods Buffet...worth the time and money.

Yelp
This Whole Foods seems to be a little larger than the one closer to home, in Morristown, and has a bigger selection. If you can find items on sale that you want, and you are an Amazon Prime member, prices are on the high side of reasonable and the quality is usually very good. If not it will cost you substantially more to shop here than, say, Shop Rite. There is a good selection of items available that are ready made to take home and grill. A few types of chicken entrees and lots of types of beef. They even dry age some of the expensive beef cuts right in the store but these will cost you. As Amazon often does, when they see a market another company is doing well in, they move in and exploit whatever advantage they may have to the detriment of the competitors. I noticed meal kits for sale. Think Hello Fresh. This store also had a wide variety of store made items to take home for your family like pizza, Chinese meals and a few other ethnic cuisines.

Yelp
Your standard run-of-the-mill Whole Foods. Took away one star for lack of liquor section. This is in my neighborhood, so my husband or I have been making almost daily trips for years. PROS: - rarely gets low in stock on anything - hot/cold food take out section is okay - employees/managers/cashiers/stock ppl are always very nice and pleasant - decent size flower section - always clean - returns/exchanges are never a hassle - lines run smoothly and are fast - sales/coupons are gen great (when they happen) CONS: - mo liquor section - no other Whole Foods for a few miles, so this one gets pretty packed at peak times with ppl from the neighboring towns and others from far distant towns - parking lot always gets packed at peak hours - they do not have a great enter/exit parking lot flow of traffic situation and often need police to regulate parking lot traffic during major holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas/NYE) - some customers can be rude and obnoxious - not enough sales or coupons

Nancy L.

Yelp
I was pleased to find this Whole Foods since it is convenient to my summer swimming location. However, I am unable to buy bulk foods there because there are no paper bags in that area and no marker to write down the number of the item for the cashier. They do not seem interested in correcting this! I also have had a problem with the cashiers ringing up the wrong price for an item and then arguing with me when I tell them the correct price.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. When you approach hot food counter, they run or ignore or when push comes to shove they ask if they can help without looking at you. Oh that's the environment I feel like spending lots of money in. The only department that is nice happens to be vitamins I have brought this to the attention of management throughout the years and have stayed away but when I give it another try it changed for WORSE. NO MORE

Yelp
I really love whole paycheck. I do. Many items that you can't get anywhere else, their meat is outstanding and the hot food and salad bars are to die for. However, their employees ALL need an attitude adjustment (expect for the men at the butcher counter, they're always amazing). I can't tell you how many times I've been greeted with a cold stare. No thank you. Hello. And no response to my greetings either. While there are a few employees here and there who are friendly, most are not. Today I was rung up by a seasoned employee helping out a trainee- they both decided to ignore me and have a conversation together in their native langue. I was appalled. I once asked for an item that the store usually carried to be ordered since it wasn't in stock- I was told they never had it in the first place. I always bought it there. Luckily I called morristown and they were more than happy to help. Getting real sick of your ish, WFM!!!!

Yelp
Plenty of delicious and healthy products. For example, today I purchased a multi vitamin 50+male, neuro Optimizer for the brain, raw Manuka honey KF Factor 16, a bottle of organic carrot juice, concentrated garlic supplement, organic cranberry juice, and some carrots and peas from the hot/cold salad bar. Check out time was fine. Plenty of parking. Since I live in Madison, it's so convenient. PS. Cherries and strawberries are in season and are yummy.

Sharon R.

Yelp
I have shopped here for several years, but have stopped buying any meat here as it was never very good, but now is inedible. I do not know what grade of meat they sell, but am sure it must be the lowest. Also, I never see very many people at the meat counter and some of the meat looks dried out.

James V.

Yelp
The Madison store has been declining in both the quality of what they sell there as well as customer service in recent years. In its earlier years, around 20 years ago, there was excellence in virtually everything sold there, from the freshness and wholesomeness of the produce to their excellent muffins and other baked goods, soups, and prepared foods. Customer service was uniformly good. The high prices were more tolerable when the quality of everything as well as the courtesy and helpfulness of employees was taken into consideration. How times have changed with this store! The quality is nothing like what it once was...in most cases, mediocrity prevails...most of the produce is still pretty good, but the wonderful muffins I used to get there are no longer available, the prepared goods are mediocre and it's always the same boring offerings every week. Add to that. in recent years I have encountered some of the rudest employees I have ever experienced in a supermarket. All of which makes the outrageously high prices almost totally unjustifiable. The store was declining in quality even before the sale to Amazon; it seems as though the decline in quality and customer service has only accelerated since then. I used to shop at Whole Foods two or three times a month; now I only visit the store maybe four to six times a year, and mainly to purchase some vitamins I cannot buy anywhere else. I now prefer Kings (either Short Hills or the much smaller Summit store), which used to be not as good as Whole Foods, but is now, I would say, comparable in quality and price, and at least offers better mannered and more helpful employees.

Sofie M.

Yelp
The store is highly and unjustifiably overprized!! The food from the deli department is nothing to sneeze about either! Every time my son picked up prepared food it was totally tactless ! I do enjoy their selection of grains , nuts and cereal ...unfortunately many a times when I come the items I am looking for are on order and bins are empty !I did learn form that unfortunate experience and try to call and make sure the items are in stock...It takes forever for people to provide the information. If I asked to check for few items they come back after keeping e on hold forever with information one ITEM and not the others..AGGGHHH ...its like pulling teeth...took me 20 min to check on one item !!!! Why bother?

Yelp
They don't quite have the selection of either the West Orange or Vauxhall locations. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as the lot is on the smaller side. The prices are still on par with other locations despite the limited selection of goods and services. The staff in the butcher section is super friendly and helpful. Nice crew in that area. The produce section is pretty fresh and well-stocked. The layout of many an item is confusing and duplicitous. Having the same processed prepackaged meats and cheeses in multiple sections of the store is not fooling me as to having more of a selection, nor does it make much sense from a layout perspective. There is a separate section of the store for personal non food goods such as vitamins, lotions and shampoos, etc. I can only imagine this used to be a separate store at one point that was annexed by Whole Foods when it went out of business. At least these items don't appear to be duplicated in the "main" section. While it's nice to have a Whole Foods in this area, I'd rather travel someplace else unless I have to be in this section of the state for some other purpose. It's a passable Whole Foods, but nothing special.

Yelp
Worst Whole Foods I've ever been to. I don't mind paying more for good, organic food which is why I have spent practically half of my money at Whole Foods over the past 5 years. But just recently moved here and and so disappointed. Just 2 gripes I'll list here for demo purposes, but it sucks bad - worse service, worst selection, and most overpriced WF ever. 15.99 / lb for FARMED salmon. Salad bar isn't even organic and it's 8.99 lb. Just go to Shop Rite. Same food, half the price.
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
This place is really great, i normally go to the West Orange wholefood since its just larger but i stop here every so often since its a little close to home and the west orange one closer to work. They have a good selection of all different types of things. The once major difference between this one and the other one is the food bar is a lot smaller then west orange. But the quailty is still there.

Yelp
The employees at this store are incredibly rude and seem to hate their jobs and the customers they interact with. No matter how pleasant and polite I am when I enter this store, I'm ALWAYS met with an extremely disgruntled employee. I will never, ever shop at this location again.

Jess E.

Yelp
This rating is for not doing the right thing and informing the public that you had positive Covid 19 interactions in your store. Shame on you. Good companies like ShopRite and Trader Joe's are informing their customers via social media of any store that has an encounter.

Yelp
First of all one star is a lot in my books. This supermarket is beyond crazy price hike and to top it off their food don't even get me started. The pictures speaks for itself. I just purchased food from the mezze/grain bar and I was excited to take my first bite until I found that the plastic is still wrapped around the cucumber. That tells me alot. For starters they do not wash their ingredients that they make the food with. That is not sanitary at all. And the manager couldn't be bothered by refunding my money. The excuse I got was oh the employee making the food was probably in a rush chopping the ingredients and didn't pay attention. HELLO !!! that tells me you don't wash the ingredients. I wish the food inspectors would take a second look.

Yelp
I have always loved Whole Foods for buying my groceries for my family! Whole Foods has a great healthy selection. The employees have always been super kind;however, I encountered a rude employee multiple times. This social employee talks to their customers but they have 5-8 minute conversations. During a global pandemic, I feel that people want to have small conversation and get home as soon as possible. There were 5 people behind me and they we could barley social distance because other people were shopping in the area around us. This employee gave me a hard time because I did not have the prime app on my IPhone. I had to give her my number that was linked to the account. I thought it was my home number, but it was my cell. She got very annoyed because I did not give her the correct number the first time. The chip on my card was broken and she was getting very angry with that. It took me three times to get it to work. I was only buying two items. But overall Whole Foods is still great with the right employee checking you out!

Yelp
I come here about 3-5 times a week. One of the most welcoming Whole Foods I've been to. The staff are so friendly here. I love the set up, it is very spacious. I wish the clientele were more friendly to the staff and to the surrounding customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely the best food store in the area. Great fresh LOCAL produce, much of it organic. The best supermarket cheese selection I have seen. Dry aged beef, a great selection of uncured hot dogs, bacon, and cold cuts (i.e. no nitrates). Organic breads, a great prepared food section, all the things that everyone knows about Whole Foods. A great place to spot the hippie chick or the single guy buying dinner (that would be me). One tip. The beer and wine section is a bit overpriced compared to local liquor stores. If you like convenience, its great, but don't expect to find any bargains. Second tip. Every Whole Foods employee gets a certain quota of free merchandise to comp to customers. If there is something you have some questions about, ask a sales person and you might get one for free. Love it.

Lily A.

Yelp
I shop here a few times a week. The service at the deli counter is dreadful. No one seems to have any sense of urgency and will ignore customers waiting to be served. They move at a snails pace. Every week I cringe when I see men with beards not wearing any protective cover on their beard when slicing my order. Isn't there some sort of rule to prevent hair in peoples lunch meat???? Employees are also not properly trained and do not lay the cheese properly after slicing and I have gotten home to find a huge chunk of slices that all stick together. Often they ignore my request of slicing the meat thin to the point where I refused my order one time after weeks of dealing with this nonsense. C'mon Whole Foods you can hire people who WANT to work!
google avatar

Annmarie C.

Yelp
This is one of the worst Whole Foods that I've been at. I thought that the Morristown location was bad, this is worse. Customer service has an attitude, if you are going to have an attitude work behind a computer away from people. No one is ever working in the pizza department. I think it's time for them to do a reorganization like Morristown did.

Gerry K.

Yelp
I've been shopping here for over ten years, and some of the store staff are very good people. BUT, the personal shoppers have taken over this store and ruined it. They were bad enough during 2020, wearing masks incorrectly, not observing social distancing and stepping in front of you to grab items. Yet now its FAR WORSE, they handled and pick through all the produce so not only are the best items gone, but they have been handled by 10x as many people as the "old days". They clog the isles with their carts, like they own the place, and its like going to Costco on a busy day. Items throughout the store are now picked over, and you can't find even normal items any longer. This has led to far more stocking by the store employees, which now make it even harder to navigate through the store, just so these "personal shopping bugs" can have the run of the place. Rude, crowded and picked over is how you'll find this once great store. Why don't they have these people personal shop in the overnight ? Or set up a place for them to "shop" in the warehouse so we don't have to encounter them. Its like a run on the bank every time you go in there now, and it really sucks. Go very early, or shop at Kings or Dean's Mkts. Much better experience, and you'll actually want to go back.

Jillian J.

Yelp
HEALTH and SAFETY FOOD WARNING!!! Stay away from Whole foods MADISON. Don't even want to leave 1 star! I have taken disgusting pictures over the past year and a half of employees not using gloves when behind deli (usually hot food area) and prepared foods. Garbages overflowing and horrible hygiene. Not changing gloves when it is obvious they just touched raw chicken. I haven't posted other pics but this last time made me cringe!! I have been hospitalized twice from severe food poisoning (not sure from where) but this makes me very aware and I can't help but let people know! I was at the Whole Foods Market (MADISON) a couple days ago and watched for the 2nd time a man preparing RAW CHICKEN and leaving them in the sink that is used to clean utensils etc. (if they even do that) and it is CLEARLY labeled that the sink is used with CHEMICALS!!! He had them lined up and sitting in the sink while he turned and spiced them. He then went to the rotisserie oven (which of course the double door were left open like they always are when they are preparing the chicken!) I have seen so many horrible practices at this locations prepared food/deli area but this just was down right OBVIOUSLY WRONG!!!! Whole foods used to be above board and the best but NO MORE! STAY AWAY until whole foods find more interested employees with better food practice hygiene! Seems this location has the least qualified and disinterested in the deli and food prep area and it's a matter of time before someone gets really sick! *********On a side note- This location has a great staff in the fruit/vegetable produce area and I haven't seen any problems with the juice bar. Register and customer service very nice but seafood and cheese can be a hit or miss! I haven't posted the other pics but this one made me cringe!! Whole Foods I have tons of photos to show you so please make the changes to your Madison location! Please!!

Yelp
Yay! I feel like a broken record right now because I'm just writing a bunch of reviews for all of the Whole Foods I've visited in the past two months. I (almost) always preface my Whole Foods reviews by saying that as a Whole Foods shopper, you need to come prepared for higher priced groceries to prevent the onslaught of a sticker shock bad mood. Once you're ready to shop, you can go in and savor all of the wonderful healthy (and not so healthy) items for sale. I come here to buy specialty items and organic produce mostly. Things like cereal and cage-free eggs and baking soda are available in my regular grocery store at a much more economic price. However, tapioca flour and chia seeds and coconut oil cooking spray are not, so I come out here every couple of months to stock up on those weird items. I also get quite tempted by the per pound buffet area. And of course, I never leave Whole Foods without a bag of their vanilla almond granola. The parking can get quite cramped and there's always a ton of people here so watch out. I almost got into a fender bender with a soccer mom who wasn't paying attention to anything but her phone. Not to get off on a tangent; just trying to warn everyone to be on the defensive in the parking lot.

Yelp
This place is really going downhill. Would stop by occasionally to pick up lunch. Grabbed a sandwich from the counter, and some cookies. The sandwich was terrible. Bread was hard, meat and toppings tasted like the sandwich sat for a few days before selling. Selected some cookies to bring home - $10.99/lb. Cookies were hard/stale. I spent over $20 and ended up throwing it all out. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
Yes! I'm the target demographic! Comfortable, left-of-center, parent, Prius owner, and foodie! The thing is, this is a small Whole Foods, and nearly every other one I've been to has been much more of a destination. This one, however, is halfway between work and home, and that makes all the difference. In a building that long ago housed an A&P, it's a great little store--a natural foods store where you can do all your shopping, if that's the way you ride. Organic produce, all sorts of interesting vegetarian alternatives, natural health and beauty items (Dr. Bronners for me!) What a pleasure to be able to stop in and pick up a few things--perhaps a loaf of bread and a hunk of cheese (and what cheeses!) for dinner, or even something from the deli counter. Update: This Whole Foods no longer sells beer and wine like it used to, due to grocery chains only being allowed to have 2 liquor stores, and Whole Foods decided to move their license to Paramus when that store opened.

Yelp
I will no longer shop at Whole Foods unless I'm desperate. I shopped frequently at the Madison location and and prior to that at the WF nearest to where we used to live. While I know I paid more to shop there, the selection and quality of organic food was better than other big supermarkets. However, ever since Amazon took over, the quality of food has declined sharply while prices have remained the same. Over the course of this past year, I've had to return countless items that had gone bad within a day of purchasing or just throw it out. Also, pre-Amazon, customer service was really good. If I did have to return something...which was rare...it was no questions asked, no receipt necessary, money back. Now...I need a receipt and get attitude (specifically Meilinda who seems to hate her job and should certainly NOT be working at the customer service counter interacting with shoppers). Even during the height of the pandemic when there was signage all over requiring one-way traffic and 6 ft distance, I encountered several employees standing together talking and some with their masks improperly worn (nose not covered). Now more than ever it's important to support our small local businesses that truly depend on every dollar to be sustainable and actually care about the quality of their food and customer experience. So, not that it'll matter to Jeff Bezos and his empire that he won't be getting my $50 bucks a bag anymore, it will matter to the small, local businesses who are more than happy to accommodate their customers.

Yelp
Great Section, but store and friendly staff. I love that they have an extended Whole body store where they have a wide array of products.

Yelp
Ive been trying to go Organic for 4 years now. This is the place to do it. A bit in the expensive side, but thats the price you pay if you wanna treat your body with great healthy food. They have great meat and deli section! Cheese and vegetables/fruits section. My only complaints here really is that they need to expand the aisle! Please guys, I do not want to go on a single file line just to go thru every aisle. Other than that the place is amazing. They even have a nice gelato and pizza area where you can get them fresh!

Yelp
Overpriced everything! I have bought rancid meat there on more than one occasion. baked goods are high priced as is the produce. the hot food bar is spicey sauces and dried up veggies. i think they use old meat and veggies then cover it in sauces. salad bar tastes stale like they dont cover it when stored. staff talks and ignores you behind the deli counter. overpriced coffee bar! pizza a good deal if you order the whole pie, otherwise its a rip off by the pound! if you are desperate stop by just expect to pay 40% more for the same things you can get in other stores in town.

Yelp
Now that I am "in tune" with the whole organic craze, this store is my family's life line. Sure you pay more for organic products but that's pretty much any supermarket. What differentiates WF from all others is their selection. Nearly every veggie, fruit, household cooking or use product is available in organic form here. The staff, for the most part, is very friendly. Check out can be a hassle especially if they have the light on and no one is there... "are you open?" is a phrase that is said by many here. Their hot/cold salad bar can be either very delicious or meh. Their bakery is ridiculous. We had them make our sons 1st bday cake and it was outrageous...everyone loved it (or so they said but I believe them). Their baked goods are real and baked in house as opposed to frozen. They also serve a pizza that is thick and delicious. Anyhoot, WF is my go to spot for everything we eat or use in our house now...ENJOY!
