I really wanted to love this Whole Foods because I just moved close by, but after too many bad things with employees and food happening here, I just can't. The first visit to this location was a few weeks ago, when they had many rotting iceberg lettuce heads. Why not throw them out? It's so obviously brown on the edges.. When I asked if they had fresh icebergs in the back, the employee said that's all they had, and agreed they were rotting, but couldn't throw them away yet. I let that go and after picking up a few items, I head to the cashier, who was a woman coughing up a storm, complaining to her coworker that she felt really sick and wanted to go home, with the coworker smiling in a playful way shaking her head, brushing her off. She continued coughing, obviously sick with red eyes, handling all our food, coughing in mine and my bf's face while continuing to complain that she felt so sick ( I whispered to my bf "hold your breath, she's sick!" ). We were both horrified they would allow her to continue working in that state, coughing on customers, touching food with the same hands she coughed in. She was wearing gloves, but coughing in her gloves and touching our food.. what's the use of gloves? I really wanted to complain to management, but wanted to get out of there asap and never come back. I came back out of desperation, this time no ice berg lettuce at all, and many employees had a very rude personality and aura about them, not all of them, but a good majority, as if they hated being there. The 3rd and final time I tried going there a few nights ago, 10 mins before closing time, and they rudely said they were closed at 9:50pm. I pleaded that I would just be a minute, just needed one item, but they shut the door. That was my final straw. I've been to many Whole Foods, and they're usually a great experience, from the friendly employees, to the nice music and top of the line food selection. The overall vibe of Whole Foods should be a positive one, but not for this location. I just visited the Whole Foods in Green Hills, and it's exactly what a Whole Foods should be! I will have to make the drive over in traffic, but it's well worth it, especially for the price.
