One of my favorite supermarkets in the Midtown area. Fruit and vegetable are always fresh, a lot of meat choices available daily, hot meals are affordable and very tasty, lots of drinks to choose from, including beer and sodas. Lines, even though are often long, don’t take too much time.

Thank you Shane and the bakery team! My son really wanted a monster cake for his birthday and I needed a green cake to serve as the base of our confectionary monstrosity. After calling around and getting lots of "no's", I met with Shane and he was great about taking down the particulars of the request. When I showed several days later the cake was ready and exactly what I needed. Thanks again at WFM for making our Frankenstein cake a reality!

I had a great experience from cashier # 4 today, she explained everything to me in a clear and simplified way that made me look forward to shopping more to get additional store savings lol. I was pleasantly surprised at the end that the cashier Latoya Francois was actually the (Store Trainer) WOW 😳. She is highly professional (People's person) Latoya, deserves the attention from upper management at Whole foods Corporate. 5 ⭐.

Absolute chaos when we arrived, which for the busy streets you should expect! Just a heads up to big groups or families with young children. It is overwhelming at first and to avoid weekends! I will say although the selection of fruit, berries and drinks was great! The sushi we got was really underwhelming. Also they really need to make their queuing system more straight forward with better signage. It was obviously that there was alot of confusion from tourists which seemed to aggravate the staff a lot. Which I understand but hearing people be yelled at while trying to understand where to pay is very off putting. There was also a very loud dispute between a man and woman in the line both threatening violence and there wasn’t much done about it….

If you're visiting NYC this is the place to go to eat some salad or fresh food without visiting a restaurant. Salad and hot buffet and always with a seating area to eat.

The Columbus Circle wholefoods is a bit different than others around the city. Typically very packed. However, staff from every level are very friendly and helpful. Don’t always find what I need in stock but at same time find items other locations don’t carry. The self checkout is probably one of the best checkouts out of all the stores who offer it. Making it quick to checkout and never have to wait in line despite the business of customers. Recommend

BEAUTIFUL STORE ! We checked out the Whole Foods Market downstairs. They had fabulous sandwiches in the deli and lots of other good stuff. I picked up a bottle of natural spring water to take with us on our next adventure....a bike ride around Central Park ! NOTE - Of course with 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !

Stopped by the store today to pick up a couple of things. I've been to the mall at Columbus Circle before but didn't know there was a Whole Foods Market. They had a great selection of flower bouquets and were on sale so I picked up 2 bouquets for myself. Aren't they so pretty? The store was bustling with people today. I used the self checkout option and the line moved relatively quickly. This location is pretty big compared to the other locations I've visited. They fall desserts like pumpkin pies and other pastries. Ambiance - it was a very busy in the store today. I wouldn't mind stopping by again if I'm in the area. I'll try to avoid Saturday afternoon rush next time.

I visited this Whole Foods while staying nearby for business. FYI it's not on the street level but take the escalator down after entering the Columbus shopping center. It's very hectic inside and not really laid out like a normal WFs or any supermarket outside of NYC. That made navigation a bit difficult. However I found the salad bar area fairly quickly. Pretty straightforward options here. However I was quite surprised at the very limited amount of prepared plant based options. Specifically plant based prepared "meats", wings etc. they had a few options but being NYC I figured I would find a lot. I did not. The checkout was managed chaos. Self checkout had many lanes, and a queue. No big deal there. However I needed some approval for my items which took time. Far too much time. Hence the star deduction.

Located inside the deutsche bank center,this whole foods is in a perfect location to pickup stuff for your picnic in then central park or a quick lunch during week days .It has all the grocery and also a butcher which is a huge plus for fresh cut meats The hot bar has a great selection of foods.Sushi bat with chefs preparing onsite.They have a bakery eith great selection. The recent increase in hot-bar prices made it impossible to get a decent lunch under 15$. Workers are efficient .They have long checkout and self checkout lines during lunch times though. I see a few homeless people in the cafe every now and then.Hope they improve that.

Self-checkout kiosks have arrived, but there are still problems. The entry points to get there are confusing. In addition, many times the staff do not pay attention to who is next in line. Some customers seem entitled and try to skip in front of others, or they don't wait to be called when there's a line. Staff are not telling customers to wait their turns. This leads to confusion. It's not the customers' job to clarify who is next as this can lead to arguments. From my observations, it seems White customers (especially men) try to skip in front of minorities (especially women). Put security near the line. Tell staff to stop letting entitled customers skip in front of others, especially those who are minorities.

I was in the columbus circle area on an extremely hot day. After walking a few blocks, I needed to cool off and get a drink. Luckily the area had plenty of options. I saw the whole foods so thought I'd check it out. With all Whole foods, the place was immaculate. You can pretty buy anything and everything here. The entire flow of the store is to get you in and out very quickly. I did find it rather odd that I couldn't spot a lot of the employees working there, which makes me wonder how the place is so clean and fully stocked. They must be working in the shadows or something. Or Amazon has replaced humans with robots. Whatever the case, definitely a good spot to get your grocery shopping done. Obviously the prices are a bit higher than your regular chain supermarkets (in exchange for presumably healthier/natural options). Do people actually do their regular shopping here? I did notice a lot of tourists and mid-town workers shopping here.

It was 3:50 pm and the coffee bar was already closed even tho the sign said it closed at 4 pm. Why is it closed so early? :( That sign is such a lie...

The food self service bar is not good. Much like all other salad and food bars. Hot foods are poorly prepared and overcooked. Cold bar is better I recently bough a small order of fried chicken strips. It was overly fried and taste like shoe leather. Texture was like parched sand paper.

Don't like this Whole Foods. The limes are labeled Persian labels instead of just Mexico. The cantaloupes are labeled incorrectly. All the produce is mislabeled. Is the worst WholeFoods in New York City. I traveled to WholeFoods as far as Brooklyn for labeled produce in Spanish.

I was a bit disappointed when realised that there's no wine in that location. Also, the place is usually crowded. But in general a regular Whole Foods store.

Thank you Whole Foods for the reasonable pricing and quality selection in one the most expensive zip codes in the world. While Whole Foods is generally the most expensive grocery option anywhere you could possibly go, you'll be doing yourself a favor if you shop here instead of any of the other local grocery stores. They have the biggest selection of organic here, too. And as it's a giant market, there's also a huge flower selection, hot foods, frozen foods, produce, meats, etc. And not to attack a fellow yelper, but the person who had written 10 reviews on the store, accusing them of the rodent in the meat fridge...come on that's impossible. Although if I had to gripe, there's usually a huge stench next to the carrot sticks. Starting to smell like a wet market in Asia. I hope they can fix that. Thank you for your existence!

Been shopping here since it first opened. Pros: Produce is very well priced The cheese selection is quite extensive Great location in Columbus Circle Cheery seating area in case you would like to sit Amazon drop off location Great store hours-- they open early and close late Seafood department is excellent Cons: Just wish they had a more extensive variety of items to choose from Some of the goods are very pricey Glad this store is in my neighborhood

Customer service is amongst the nastiest I have ever encountered at any Whole Foods Market location. There is no recognition of customer loyalty, no matter how many years you have shopped at this location nor the accumulated thousands of dollars that you have spent. The staff will still unabashedly treat you with disdain and disrespect, because they are enabled by their managers to take their customers for granted. I recommend spending your money at other locations providing a better customer experience, until these employees are trained to treat all customers with respect. Thankfully, New York City has many alternatives. Otherwise, the bulk section is in great need of a scale and label printer. When I last visited this location, only one of the two scales in produce was operable, still an inconvenient distance away from the bulk section. Also, maintenance should be assigned to clean bathrooms, microwaves, and dining areas more regularly, as they are often messy. Lastly, Whole Foods Market, overall, should stock less overly processed, high oil, high sodium, and high sugar foods. Don't be deceived by the brand name implying all products sold by this business are healthy and safe. Always read labels.

Lately could not find Kefir 365. Also fish is not exactly fresh - eyes are cloudy. We were told beef tongues are no longer available. Vendors sell them to someplace else. Upset.

This, Whole Foods is right by Central Park. It's in the middle of everything. It's a great store to get just about anything you need at a decent price. They have salad bars, hot food buffet's, Pizza, many types of hot food for purchase and a sitting area for eating. They also have all your other great natural alternatives that you can't find in any other stores such as all natural Chapstick or unscented, all natural body soap, shampoo, etc. in addition, they carry organic produce. The store was clean. The employees were friendly. The front mall presentation is beautiful at Christmas time. This whole foods is inside a mall like area.

Whole Foods Columbus Circle is a must for a fast meal. I had tons of photos posted and a review of this location but naturally they're gone. To enter this location you go down the escalators. It's a beautiful store and I always find a seat to sit with coffee and a meal from the buffet. I go after the morning rush. I'm not going to go on and on about Whole Foods. Everyone is knowledgeable that works behind the food counter. I never wait long for check out and I have been treated the same as any other location. It's Typical Whole Foods no nonsense service. I will say I go into the mall to use the restroom. The ladies room at this Whole Foods is not maintained to my standards.

My husband was attending a conference in Midtown, one he has been exhibiting at for 20 years, and wanted a cake to have in his booth to celebrate his retirement. I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake from the WH Bakery with just 48 hours notice. Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling, and white frosting. It was yummy!

Whole Foods in Columbus Circle has a large special display of Kerrygold Kilaree cheese full of approximately 1-pound bricks. The labeling on the cheese shows that each brick has 4 grams of fat, no saturated fat, and 210 calories. According to the Kerrygold website, the actual values per brick are 144 grams of fat, 96 grams of saturated fat, and 1,760 calories. The difference Is clearly great enough that someone on a restricted diet for age, obesity, cholesterol level or heart disease could carefully select this cheese based on the nutritional information provided and then immediately keel over dead after eating the fattiest they've ever had in their entire lives. I took the time to point out the mistake to a Whole Foods employee, explained the situation very clearly, and even showed them proof. They said they would definitely relabel the cheese. Imagine my surprise when I visited again days later and found the same display advertising the same falsehoods. Bad form, Whole Foods.

I am not sure if my experience was due to me going to this location about an hour before they closed... but they need to get their thing together!!! As I was walking towards the escalators, I did not notice that there was a line OUTSIDE (to the side) of the building, with no sign... so I walked straight to the escalators and this fake security bumbled something and did not even make eye contact. I did not understand ONE WORD... then my boyfriend saw the line and we figured out, or we assumed that was what he told us. Even if we would have seen the line, we would not have known that it was for Whole Foods since it was outside the building... so it could have been for stores in the building that have their entrance through the outside. Then, inside... they rarely carry varieties... Again, this may be because we went when they were almost closing. I DID FIND WILD BLUEBERRIES... amazing!!! Do your research guys!! You could thank me later!!! We found a few little things, but it was nothing like when we go to other locations and go crazy buying everything! When it was finally time to pay, the lines were moving SUPER slow!!! The employees were working like they did not want to be there... or maybe they were trying to get overtime? Who knows... LOL.

Big store lots of selections. We were late and kept putting pressure on customers they were closing. Over good effort experience. M

I'm a long-time loyal customer of Whole Foods - and have been shopping at this store several times a week since it opened. I used to love this store. But lately, I've become quite disappointed and frustrated with it. The store keeps discontinuing popular items - to force people to buy more expensive versions of the item. For example, I used to purchase the "365 whole wheat buns," which tasted great and were reasonably priced. They used to be $2.99. Then earlier this year, they raised the price to $3.49 - and then to $3.79. Now, they don't stock them at all -- and only sell the "organic" version ("365 Organic whole wheat buns"), which taste exactly the same, but cost 58% more at $5.99. Just ridiculous. I refuse to pay $5.99 for hamburger buns just because they stuck the word "organic" on it. I'm guessing many other people agree - because the "organic" ones weren't selling very well. (The shelves were always filled to the brim with the organic buns - while the regular whole wheat buns sold quickly). So, now they've stopped stocking the regular ones - in order to gouge their customers to pay 58% more for buns. Really annoying. They pulled a similar stunt with another 365 item - "365 plant-based "hot & spicy" hamburgers." These were extremely popular, reasonably priced (around $4.29) and always sold out quickly. Then, they decided to just stop selling them - and only sell the 365 "traditional" plant-based burgers - which are pretty tasteless compared with the "hot & spicy" version. I'm guessing they did this so they could force people to buy the more expensive plant-based spicy burgers that they sell, like Beyond Meat burgers, for $10.99 and $15.99. All of this is extremely disappointing. When Amazon took over Whole Foods, they brought down prices on many items, which is why I've been shopping there multiple times a week for many years. But now they seem to have zero regard for their customers and just want to price-gouge them. Did the store get a new manager? I don't understand the change. All of this has made me NOT want to shop at this store.

I always get the Turkey breast with something on the side but overall Great food everything made from scratch not like certain Whole Foods Market, you go hoping you find what you want and end up disappointed but this location inside Time Warner Mall is the BEST and Cleanest location

This Columbus Circle Whole Foods continues to slide in quality and experience. If you enjoy delicious Driscoll strawberries- forget about them. They are gone and replaced with berries from 2 vendors whose strawberries were beyond awful and super expensive. I like to get their fresh turkey (when it's not dried out like todays). Not cutting the turkey in the morning and just slicing it off as needed keeps it fresh. I like to get turkey juice to put over my overpriced mash potatoes. The woman at the hot food says i have to get the juice on my mash potatoes; i just want it on the side in a small cup. Nope! Can't do it. Not sure why she holds the juice hostage- they throw it away at the end of night. I also agree with one of the reviewers below... the chicken fingers are overdone and taste awful. Had to throw them away. Ever since Amazon took over years ago whole foods has gone downill. Though I appreciate the $5.00 I have saved these past 8 years. For NYC, do better.

I shop here to get good quality fresh foods. The produce is far superior to what you'd find at Gristedes and way cheaper than Westerly. The poultry, fish, and butcher meats are also more reliable than Food Emporium or either of the aforementioned grocery stores. There are a lot of overpriced, disappointing food markets in midtown, and Whole Foods manages to be consistently better and cheaper (especially if you're a Prime member and you use your Amazon credit card). Own downside is that it's often packed. Employees hurtle through the store filling carts for online orders. Customers ricochet from place to place, and there is no spot where you can stand and not be in someone's way. I have trouble leisurely shopping here; the vibe is very much get in and get out as quickly as possible. I like cooking meals with vegetables and other fresh ingredients. After shopping at a number of other stores, I've found that Whole Foods gives me the best experience. Also, I can't be bothered to go all the way to Trader Joe's and wait in those ridiculously long lines. Columbus Circle is more convenient.

Anytime I make a visit to NYC, I try my best to visit this particular Whole Foods located inside the mall at Columbus Circle. This is one of my favorite Whole Foods. My second favorite is the one at Union Square. They have a huge hot food bar options, great salad bar with fresh veggies. So you can get a healthy, hot meal while on the go. The only issue I have with this place, is trying to find someplace to sit. It can be very crowded at times so you may need to share a table with someone else. Other than that, the check-out is organized the service was polite.

Cantaloupe and honeydew melons are sourly unripe. Same for most produce, harder than baseballs. Produce management believes in wetting down lettuce so organic products sit rotting in water. Same for Potted Plants. Snake plant Saturated so it will never need water again as it rots from the roots up. Amazon's takeover destroyed this place and now it is frequently overrun with personal shoppers. Rotting seems to be the theme here . . . This is half a block from home and I need to take a bus to buy foodstuffs these days

I love this Whole Foods location! It's super convenient because it's located right at the Columbus Circle train station, so it's easy to drop in to or on your way home from work to grab a few things. The customer service here is also stellar. Every time I've asked for help from an employee on the floor (can't speak so much for the cashiers), I feel they always go above an beyond to assist me. My favorite part about Whole Foods are the hot food stations! They always have a great variety of food items to choose from! Most recently, I tried their omelette station during their breakfast hours -- pretty decent!

Francis was awesome!!! I work in the building, so I'm constantly picking up lunch here. People like her are the reason i keep coming back! It's conveniently located in the lower level of 10 Columbus Circle (formerly known as the Time Warner building). They literally carry everything imaginable. The have a ramen/ poké place that has beer & a juice press. I should probably just buy groceries, but they make it tooooo easy not to! Assata and Daniel were extremely helpful as well. They're all extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Great job WF!!!

The coffee bar here is literally never staffed, evidently. I've been 5 times during the hours it's supposed to be open in recent months and it never has been. When you ask the people at the bakery, who are supposed to be in charge of the coffee, why no one is serving it when they should be, they lie or give you attitude. The head baker told me it didn't open till 8:30 once recently; the woman I spoke to over the phone this morning said it should have been open at 8. A few weeks ago I tried to order coffee at 4:15 and the guy at the bakery said it closed at 4, but the woman on the phone today said 5. She sympathized, and said that many, many customers had complained to her about this. She has spoken to the store manager, she said, but nothing has changed. So I asked to speak to the man who is clearly aware of the issue but unwilling to address it. When we spoke over the phone he gave me some excuse about staffing. I knew he was full of shit and I told him so. Today wasn't the day for him to argue with me, he said, and said I'd better watch my mouth. Or else what, I said. No answer for that one.

I love this store and have been shopping here - several times a week - for years. However, I'm getting really fed up with the number of dogs that are roaming around the store. I thought it was illegal for people to bring dogs into grocery stores - for hygienic and safety reasons - and yet there seems to be a ton of really rude and selfish people ignoring this law and bringing dogs into the store. And this store does nothing to stop people from doing this. The dogs lick the produce (I decided not to buy apples after I saw that), jump up on shelves, block the aisles, growl at people, scratch themselves & then rub up against the grocery shelves, and some look scared to death as people climb over them. I almost tripped over one a couple of weeks ago because the owner had a long leash and wasn't paying attention to what the dog was doing. .. This problem has only started in the last year or two. ... When I asked a security person why they were suddenly allowing so many dogs into the store, he told me there was nothing he could do as the dog owner would just claim it was a "guide dog" or "comfort animal" - which is absolutely ludicrous. ... Please STOP people from bringing dogs into the store! It's pretty easy to do: Just have somebody stand at the top of the escalator and immediately stop anybody from entering the store with a dog. If this isn't fixed soon, I likely will stop shopping here.

My favorite Whole Foods markets love it. I did some basic shopping fish, produce and grains. My best purchase was the farm strawberries oh Lord what yummy experience. The salmon was was awesome farm fed. The selections at this location are fanatic from fish, produce, coffees and gains which makes me very happy. The observation was the flowers selectee was poor. I wanted buy sunflowers they were droopy on death row sorry to say. Otherwise I love this establishment it really fab!!!

I go here because I live in the neighborhood and have no choice. I find most of the people working there including managers, to be rude and not customer service oriented. It's really sad- Wholefoods HR need to consult Trader Joe's on their hiring and training standards because their staff is a million times better. When WF first opened they had the friendliness and most helpful staff but something has gone very wrong there and it is not getting any better :( Sadly TJ is too far for me to go to on a daily basis but whenever I can, I prefer to go there and give them my business.

Rude and unprofessional employee. I paid for several item at the self checkout . There were about 5-6 staff members one of whom did not come to assist me. They take no responsibility or check if everything was scanned properly. Either get rid of these self checkout or have these people assist customers

I love this place. I love the prepared food section and the produce section. The associates here are very friendly and go out of their way to help. I love eating here, too. It's one of my favorite spots to grab food. You can also eat outside here, when it's warm enough out. I'll stop back here again soon for more food!

Whole Foods located on the first floor in Columbus Circle is very busy! I am visiting and didn't understand the cashiering line? I believe i stood in a line that stated 18-24 less than 10 items. I thought that meant if any cashier was free in that lane could help me? No, customers started criss crossing over all the lanes? What is going on? How do i know when it is my turn? Customers were complaining of others going out of turn? When it was my turn, someone said for me to go to #21 but another customer was already there so when i heard #17 open up, i moved there. Next thing, i hear a woman come up behind me to say she is #17! Implying i cut! I only had 1 item so quickly tried to get out of there asap! So i asked for my receipt and do you know what the sassy cashier said? "Hold your horses!" How rude! Definitely, no customer service here!!! Why don't they make 1 line just like Disneyland so everyone will be helped appropriately and there would be no confusion!! No wonder New Yorkers have a bad reputation!

"Customer service - what's a customer, what's a service you talk about". Might as well be the logo of this Whole Foods. Walked over to customer service with a Whole Foods paper bag with a ripped handle (happens all the time). Customer service person on their cellphone can't be bothered. Reluctantly they hand over a replacement paper bag. As I leave, the "customer service rep" points to my trashed bag and asks me to put it in the trash containers behind her counter - she can't be bothered to do it herself. The trashiest customer service rep over. Trashy store - no pun intended.

After waiting on long lines in the past, I decided to choose the delivery option. I also tried out the curbside pickup option in BK with much better results. But let me talk about Whole Foods and their delivery service - the prices have gone up, the portion sizes and quality have gone down. I have been purchasing food from WF on a weekly basis and have witnessed its gradual decline. From wilted arugula to barely edible lettuce, it's not the employee's fault. The food is just not the same quality. To support my view, try finding some of the great products this store used to carry - the fresh white clam sauce or amazing lobster ravioli. How about a really great seafood salad ? Or better yet, a delicious cake or pastry ? The last time I purchased the fruit tart for 28$ - yes 28$ plus tax- it arrived packaged on its side - all of the custard and fruit jumbled on the bottom - looked like a major food accident. I ate it - the pastry shell was tough & overly buttery. They also did something weird- placed a white chocolate coating on top - tasted like sweet wax. Weird ! So what's a dessert addict to do ? Like any good food junkie I began searching for alternatives. I found Uber Eats! And some of the most incredible restaurants & dessert spots. Bye bye WF! Hope you find someone with no tastebuds.

This truly is a cool stores with so many option there's a tendency to feel overwhelmed. The bakery is fresh, so may delicious looking desserts. Love the fancy olive bar and wow amazing sandwiches for on the go. This morning we just grabbed a cup of java and people watched. Loved it!

Located on the ground floor of the glitzy-ritzy Time Warner Center (below Williams-Sonoma and down the escalators by the main entrance), the Columbus Circle Whole Foods is just as crowded as the Bryant Park location downtown, especially during meal times. Given the wait times and the really narrow aisles, I would never come here to buy a full load of groceries, but I've stopped by a few times for the salad bar ($10/lb.), which appears to be refreshed throughout the day. I usually get my food to go, since the seating area is always full. If you're here to kill time, consider browsing the colorful produce displays or sampling the wide assortment of cheeses. Even after the acquisition by Amazon, prices are still close to what they were before, but there are certainly bargains to be discovered, especially among the 365 Everyday Value® products. (Bottle of drinking water for 43¢.) Each checkout lane has multiple registers and an overhead monitor to indicate which lanes are open. Like at other locations, you can get a 10¢ discount if you bring your own reusable grocery bags. The customer service is desk is located off to the side by the down escalator.

I read that Jeff Bezos intended to lower prices. That's commendable, but he's doing it by cutting back on quality. We customers are getting a worse VALUE overall than before. Example, suddenly the amount of chocolate chips in the 365 ice cream is reduced (I'm guessing by 40%) and the ice cream part itself just doesn't taste as good, so there were probably other quality cuts as well. Their milk goes bad in less than a week. Their English cucumbers are worthless. It's almost at a point where there's no reason for me to keep shopping at Whole Foods. Still like their Salsa and Salad Dressing. But it's a bummer that I would have to go to 2 different supermarkets to get what I want instead of buying all my essentials+ at Whole Foods

So i was contavted by whole foods, they inquired about my experience and shortly after the decided ro refund my money for the cost of the pie. While that is a nice gesture, i really hope they take a step back and they dissect quality control for their bake goods, specifically at this midtown location. While i am not reviewing food quality this time, i am thankful for their imediate contact and the quick resolution. I frequent whole food markets in Long Island very often and i pre order my thanksgiving pies from various locations in the island. The Manhasset location is the one near me and they never dissapoint with the quality and consistency of their baked goods.

Had chicken thighs and fruits. Pros: Whole foods water, chicken thighs and fruits are very good. Cons: Too many people at Saturday night. Very dangerous under COVID.

A worker screamed at my daughter for walking in a place where she thought she could sit down. She recently lost her dad, and has been going through a lot (very out of it). The worker screamed at her and called her an idiot. I'm very disappointed , I understand sometimes workers are stressed out but you never know what someone else is going through. She could've done something else other than scream and cause attention.

I really like the new self check out option which cuts down the wait time by more than half. Great selection of produce and the place is generally well stocked. Also love the delivery option when we can't get to the store.

Update review to Whole Foods Market. This is my favorite Whole Foods Market. You ever get that feeling as you enter an establishment that it is going to be an adventure. I feel this way every time I visit the Time Warner building and take the escalator downstairs into the Whole Food Market. Flowers greet you as I head over to the prepared foods. Baked breads was my first pitstop. Fresh Pumpernickel loaf of bread. reasonably priced. Crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. Good selection of soup. Wanted some New England Clam Chowder which they did not have but they did have Manhattan Clam Chowder. Perfect on a cold day. Soup just hits the spot. Since this is a high traffic Whole Foods Market. It has such a huge selection of prepared food. You will never be bored coming here for lunch or dinner. The checkout line was confusing at first but I figured it out. Lines have a color banner above. Screen will provide color and register number. No matter which line you are on it will move fast. Whole Foods got a really good system when it comes to checking out.

Trash market. You guys don't even have any prime short rib or brisket in stock. What a joke. Also no service animal? Get out of here. Clearly your sign says service animals are welcome. Update your sign then instead of giving attitude from your disgruntled security.

It's a solid WF but beware of the lines during peak hours as they will literally wind around the store although they do keep moving at a good pace. The prepared foods section is definitely the centerpiece of the store with a solid selection of entrees, a salad bar, sandwich station, sushi bar, and the lauded rotisserie chickens. They aso have a daily chef's plate at $10 which is a great deal - it's usually a half chicken with 2 sides and the portion is generous enough to last 2 meals. An a la carte plate is around $12-14. The produce selection is pretty meh though as many items are typically out of stock, especially if you go on the weekend so I would highly recommend going at an off-peak time - unless of course you prefer to spend more time waiting than actualy shopping. They do have magazines by the lines so IF you do have to wait, you can catch up on some light reading.

The original "Whole Foods" at Columbus Circle(NYC) was wonderful but since Amazon took it over it is absolutely terrible! Shelves are not fully stocked and if you see an item high up and dare to ask an employee to help they give you a dirty look. There are a few really nice people still left... but by and large it's new minimum wage employees who are rude and totally unhelpful. Thankfully they now have self-scanning checkout stations that help customers to not have to deal with rude employees all the time. For now their produce is fine but not so much with meat and seafood. What a shame!!
