Whole Foods Oakville - the hot food section blew me away, it's huge! Great tasting desserts, fresh bread and produce. I'll definitely be coming back for certain items!

The staff at this wholefoods has been stable and excellent for a decade. Sadly it’s been getting steadily worse over the last 12-18 months. This morning’s deli counter visit was pretty low though. The woman working the counter was unable to close the zip up bag so she put another bag on top. She then went to put another label on the new bag. This seemed odd so I asked why, she said oh it’s the same price. Peeling it back, it clearly wasn’t because now it wasn’t tared, and the two bags plus were looped in to the bill. The lack of common sense here is problematic, but the dishonesty is really unappreciated, even if the price difference was minor. I reported this to customer service who was very apologetic and charged me the original price. Genuinely unsure what is going on though, no longer a premium shopping experience to match the relatively premium prices. With more competition for organic / premium groceries around this seems like a bad route for wholefoods to go.

I can understand why this location is very popular, Oakville residents with extra cash come here to buy a low supply of relatively decent quality goods. But sadly, I cannot match their experience with mine, as doing so will just shadow their true flaws when it comes to staff experience and conveniently buying things comfortably without having to come across someone rude at the kiosk. I’ve been visiting this place since the start of last year, and the staff are very urgent and also quite rude when it comes to processing customer orders. I do appreciate the buffet across from the sitting table area of the store, but sadly, my awful experience there led me to write this review. After putting together my boxes of food, I ultimately asked one of the women at the secondary buffet whether or not the lasagna had pork in it or not as I’ve come to realize lately that pork is not that healthy for you despite what Canadians say about its popularity with the flavor. Anyways, long story short, despite asking, I began having an argument with someone with me at the time as they were suggesting it had pork, though I asked anyway. It did ultimately have beef in it, so I went over to order the Turkey Meatloaf, and asked the same question yet the lady was unsure and for some reason, out of arrogance or confusion, she told me that the broccoli beside the meatloaf tray had pork in it instead. I was making it clear to her that I did not want pork in my food, and after a slight argument, I came home having eaten a Turkey meatloaf that matched the same quality as tofu. Anyways, where am I going with this? Well, the staff at the buffet areas and the cashiers are not the nicest, they have trouble getting along with the customers and unless you seem like you’re rich, then they will somehow treat you slightly nicer. It is also the perfect grocery store to get into an argument with your girlfriend, because the vibes that the staff give off ultimately give you an ick when walking into the store. They also do not sell packaged goods for drinks either, everything is made to look like a specialty item from a Starbucks gifts shelf, which makes you overspend what you could otherwise get twice for at a Metro or Walmart. So yeah, generally disappointed, next time I’ll just buy a pretentious chocolate bar from there at the self-serve machine instead.

Whole Foods in Oakville on Cornwall is where it’s at ! Everything’s organic, ethically sourced, and as the kale and avocados greeted me with “namaste” my bank account cried softly in the background. It’s a wellness wonderland, yes, my basket cost me more than dinner for four, but at least there’s something oddly comforting about knowing my overpriced wild caught King Salmon fillets, are ethically sourced and my tofu had a genuinely happy life. I stop here when I’m looking for those special items! I love the bakery and cheese sections the most. Namaste and good luck. 😉

Very well organized with an excellent variety of high-quality and reasonably priced products. The glaring weakness at this location is the service at the meat and seafood counter. On numerous occasions, I have been the only one waiting for assistance and it will take at least two minutes for an associate to approach the counter. Even more astonishing is when an employee clearly notices a customer waiting, and yet they continue with whatever they are doing for another minute or two. This has been a chronic problem in this department for several years, and management needs to implement a plan to correct it. Excluding this particular issue, my experience at this location is generally quite positive.

People say Whole Foods got the best pizza. Well, I can confirm that the pizza there is top notch. And since I can buy by slice, I don't have to feel bad about my diet.. Hot and cold salad sections have great variety and quality as well.

I forgot what sleeping felt like. I mean what I say. I have been going through this vicious cycles without proper sleep. I tried many herbal and natural products to no effect until I visited the Whole Foods Market. One lady listened to my issue and advised me to try a product. I gave it a try and for the first two weeks in years I started to sleep better than before. My sleeping still interrupted but I slept. Today I visited the shop in Oakville again. Luckily, I met the same associate and shared the improvement in sleep with her and asked her if there is more that can be done to help me sleep properly even for few hours a night. She suggested I add another product to what I am taking. I purchased it without hesitation. I can not thank her enough and I hope it helps me sleep better.

First time being in a whole foods and the store was clean and well organized but the selection was not very good but that might have been this specific location. The prices of everything is what shocked me everything was so overpriced I was expecting comparable prices to Longos and Fortino’s but they were much higher. If you are willing to pay the higher prices for the same products you can get 2 minutes down the road then it’s a nice store but I personally won’t be shopping here

The Oakville location of Whole Foods is one of my favourites of all the Whole Foods branches in the GTA. They have the best and widest selection of foods in the salad bar and hot food station. All the dishes are fresh and delicious. There are plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and pescetarian options (e.g. 3-4 different kinds of salmon, curry cauliflower, roasted vegetables, brussels sprouts, roasted potatoes, various legumes, tofu, tempeh, etc.). All the produce items are top-notch in terms of quality and freshness. They also have a great selection of items that are not as easily found in other mainstream supermarket chains, such as a wider variety of hummus and tempeh selection, an extensive bulk foods section (including nuts, grains, and beans), and other organic, vegan, and specialty items.

I like to go to Whole Foods to search for unique alternatives to my favourites. Visiting this particular Whole Foods is always a great experience. Especially during the first round of lockdown in March/April, you can tell their COVID-19 plans were carefully thought out. Line up outside with stanchions, must wear a mask and provided masks to those who didn't have one (before it was mandatory), clearly marked aisle directions, plexi-glass where necessary. It's safe to say I feel comfortable and safe to go here when I need to. I will say, however, my most recent visit did not have a lineup outside the store but I found it pretty busy inside! The meat and fish selection is always fresh and abundant. In particular, we enjoy picking up oysters - and they will shuck them for you if you ask! Pre-covid times saw me frequenting the hot and cold bar for quick but quality lunchtimes. Unfortunately, this area is being used for flow water and dry flax storage (as it should). But! You can grab some of the items from the hot bar in the fridge area, so it's nice to see they are making up for what I assume was a lucrative spot in the store. I also enjoy the beauty/vitamin/supplement/home area (I like a lot of things ok), as it provides a sense of calm and overall is a nice experience to browse the unique options they carry.

I love Whole Foods and every visit sees me spending at least double what I intended to going in. Pre-COVID, I was a huge fan of their hot bar. Something about mixing their vegan general tso, mashed potatoes and sesame noodles that is just so appealing to me. I do miss the hot bar, but I understand we just can't be together right now... Back in the cheese section, they have this great little odds and ends bin that I often pick through to try some new and exciting cheeses. Along with their interesting cracker section, you're halfway to a decent charcuterie platter (for one...) I also loved their bakery section. Recently I tried their seeeduction bun, which I get it, why would I be reviewing a small bakery bun. But seriously, go get some and have with decent butter. Tell me if I am wrong. My only issue is, I went back a few days later to pick up more of those buns... don't @ me.... and they didn't have any. I'm sure given situation they are not baking full normal quantity of items. But seriously, gimme my buns. They also make a really solid sugar free biscotti. Last, but not least, their kombucha section is absolutely epic. I could spend $30 on that end cap alone.

I love the prepared foods at Whole Foods. Near the back of the store for $12 you get one protein and two sides it's a really good deal for really good food quick and easy to bring to work. Places always clean and the people are always friendly I love Oakville Whole Foods.

Read the ingredients on items that advertise that they are vegan as some contain eggs. This is not vegan BTW

We were in the area for a vacation and were happy to find a familiar brand from back home. We stocked up!

Whole Foods head office is disallowing its Canadian store employees from wearing the Poppies in support of the November 11th Remembrance Day. I will not shop at any Whole Foods Market stores until this unacceptable policy is removed and apologies made by the Whole Foods management.

Great Store and if I would have the money I would love to do all my grocery shopping here. We mainly shop here for our kids since we are trying to give them mostly organic food. And stuff like organic brussel sprouts you can't really find at a regular grocery store but you will find here. I just got a flyer in the mail somewhere and it stated that they are also gonna be selling roses for $19.- on valentines day which is an incredible price. I am not sure about the size and amount though. They have some stuff that are very competitive in price like baby whipes ( their own brand 365 ) or the little lunch bags ( 365 brand ) that are bpa free etc. They also have lots of meals that they make at location and some of them look and smell REALLY good!! Never had a chance to get anything except stuff from the bakery. Which was very good.

I cannot say enough about how much I really enjoy grocery shopping here. Everything from food to quality, from staff to cashiers is excellent except the bathrooms. I really would love to see an improvement in their toilets, especially for hygienic reasons. Please hear my voice! Also, the live music band on weekends is amazing! Who knew you could listen to amazing quality music while grocery shopping???

This Oakville location is large and has some great selections and healthy foods. So all is good with that. What I found really disturbing, and this may not be disturbing for others, is that I would say 50% of the people who were in the store, were not wearing a mask. What was more concerning is that so many of the people who work there and many of the cashiers were not wearing masks either. Of course, they handle and touch all your food (after touching thousands of other people's food). THAT part was very concerning to me. I felt very uneasy. I will not be returning to this location until it's safer to do so. That location can easily become a Covid superspreader location. If you don't care, then no problem, but if you prefer to stay safe, stay away from this location (especially if you're in a high-risk health category).

Slight change of heart as I think the Oakville slightly trumps Mississauga. Why? Here are the following reasons: - better seating options at the dining area, there are booths! - and MORE importantly, MORE free food samples + testers in the Whole Body section. I still dislike the dim lighting in the Coffee Bar/Bakery/Salad Bar areas and narrow aisles, but I think things like free samples are more important. :) Square One WF is very chintzy with their daily samples. You'll spot a green bowl near a display of chips and 9 times out of 10, the bowl will be empty. No matter what time of the day. Tip: Park on the west-side of the lot, near West Marina. More spots there.

Wow what a great store. Huge selection and a meat counter selection that would send any carnivore into fits of sheer ecstasy. Wonderful. I would like some short ribs please. A meagre amount Im only cooking for two. I get handed the package of short ribs and then immediately gasp at the $43 price tag. Woah. Place the package down on the counter and back away slowly trying not to make eye contact with the confused meat counter staff. I get near the door and RUN! Fear and loathing at Whole Wallet.

I'm giving this Whole Foods location five stars for a few reasons. 1. It is large and has an amazing selection of everything. Thwy always have plenty of fruits and veggies. Their fresh meat department is always well stocked and there's nothing I can't get at the fresh meat counter. 2. They always have lots of their house made guac and their house made tortilla chips. They are a party favourite. I always take them with me to people's houses and it's the to go. I was super sad when I went to a location in Northern California and they didn't offer there house made chips! 3. Crack buns! They made their own hamburger and hot dog buns. These are addictive and need absolutely nothing on them to be amazing. Imagine an egg bun that is a tiny bit sweet, but that doesn't do then justice. I have yet to find these in the US as well. 4. Pizza takeout. How I love being able to call Whole Foods, order my pizza over the phone and pick it up 20min later. Their pizzas are MASSIVE and delicious. They have a stone pizza oven right in store and you can watch your pizza cook. They have a large variety of toppings from full strip thick cut bacon to marinated tomatoes to large deli slices of pepperoni. The crust is brushed with a garlic oil that just adds to the goodness. At $15 it's average priced for an xxl sized pizza. 5. Bakery. Two words: fresh gelato. Yum! Lots of different flavours to choose from. Their cookie cabinet is amazing. Tons of different choices that are all so good. Fresh cakes and tarts. Vegan, gluten free and regular options available. Everything from regular everyday fresh bread to fancy types of loaves with garlic and cheese, etc. Corn bread! Made fresh daily and is delicious. 6. Great hot food counter. Everything is delicious from their mac and cheese to their chicken. Options to satisfy the whole family. Careful though, charge by weight, so before you know it you're $20+ for lunch. 7. Salad bar. Amazing. So many options. There's no way you could get tired of it with all the combos that be made. From fresh spring mix to spinach to broccoli salad and even chickpea salad. Add on some hard boiled eggs, nuts and pickled beets. 8. Cold food counter. Everything is amazing from meal items to salads. Kale salad with dried cranberries. There's no words. Amazing. 9. Staff. Always friendly and helpful. 10. Overall food selection. Numerous brands to choose from. Good selection of everything you could need for your usual weekly grocery shop. Downfall. It's expensive. Really expensive. The fruits and veggies are sold in grams, so you think you're getting a good deal and then realize you have to sell your first born to pay for your grocery bill. As most places, it's more expensive in Canada for some items, but not all. The price we pay for all organic!

If you are what you eat, then I must be Whole Foods. I probably do 3/4 of my grocery shopping here because lately I have been trying to eat as much organic as I can. Farmer's markets are great but our schedules never seem to be agreeable. The Oakville Whole Foods is quite a bit different than the one in downtown Toronto. First, the parking lot is huge. No need to go through the underground maze and worry about someone dinging your car. Second, the store itself is much larger; in result, there are a larger selection of just about everything. In fact, it really reminds me of the ones south of the border... in all aspects. Including the "yummy mommies" in their Land Rovers and Mercedes, who are picking up some yellow fin tuna on the way home from the yoga & spa. It seems like the wealthiest come to shop here, and the prices reflect it. $6.99 for a pack of organic strawberries, $12 for an 8oz grass fed NY strip, you get the idea. As mentioned before, the selection is very good. Lots of produce, lots of proteins and everything else in between. Sure you can probably find as good or better with fish mongers or at a produce market, but not all under one roof. The reason why give them four stars is because of their impeccable customer service. I mean, really.. grocery stores are grocery stores, right? This one is obviously more cleaner and inviting, but so are other more upscale grocery stores like Loblaws and Fortino's. But service is what sets this one apart from others. For example, they will allow you to return ANY opened item if you do not like it. That is pretty impressive.. basically, they are standing behind every item that they sell in the store. I also find their staff throughout the store are more than willing to stop their current duties and take the time to help you find anything you need. Not for everyone, but if your husband happens to be a dental surgeon, then this is the place to pick up your groceries :P

I JUST WON A FREE TOTE THRU YELP! FREEBIES I used my celly to check-in, and BING! "FREE TOTE" MESSAGE! I didn't even know that feature existed with the yelp app! Sweeeeeet! THAT prompted me to write a review about my love for Wholefoods! The FREE PRIZE feature was so simple. It explained how you can claim your prize, but beware: Do not click on the claim button unless you are ready! There is a countdown clock (3 hours) - and I was writing at the in-store cafe, so I felt a little pressure to finish what I was writing to grab my freebie before I forgot! BACK TO WHOLEFOODS We only bought our groceries at Wholefoods while we were living in the States. Having been to the Wholefoods in Toronto & DMV, I must confess something. The USA retailers are bigger and cheaper with more selection! But that doesn't make it better. Just better prices and selection. On the flipside, Toronto Wholefoods are much more s p a c i o u s, so the atmosphere has an elevated upscale shopper's experience! It was interesting to find that the Wholefoods in the DMV actually sold Maple Syrup from Canada! My face BRIGHTENED at that discovery! In the USA - I also went to Wholefoods to buy my sunscreen. It's $16 USD for a 2.5 oz. tube - but for someone with hypoallergenic skin - it is worth every pretty penny. Another hit, are the hot food & salad stations. I love that they switch up the items from lunch & dinner so you could go all day and not get bored with the same selection. Even though the selection was huge. The hot food was always hot, and the cold food always tasty. And I always remember the staff at all locations are friendly & very helpful if you have any questions! Please read examples in my other Wholefoods reviews. At THIS location - I particularly love the cafe. If I start my day here, with one of their amazing scones (mixed berry, chocolate chip, or cheese & spinach) (i usually buy all three) with a hot cup of green tea earl grey with soymilk, I am elated! We don't shop here in Canada because, as my yelper friend Kat S. likes to say, "In the USA, they call it Whole-Paycheck, in Canada, it should be called Whole-Salary!". Still, you often pay for what you get! You can count on uber-fresh, high quality food and products here! And the service, and experience, is always always always DELIGHTFUL!

As I'm starting to eat healthier, I realized that Whole Foods isn't too bad. However, they are still super expensive compared to other places like Real Canadian Superstore, but at the same time, you need to consider that most of their items are locally grown and if not locally grown, then usually non-GMO and organic (though be careful, you have to read the labels and ingredients). My likes: 1. Produce selection is bigger and fresher than the Square One location. 2. Saturday's have plenty of samples. :-) 3. Anyone in any section will help you and direct you in person as opposed to just pointing somewhere. My dislikes: 1. Some items are the same as those sold in other grocery stores and not really good for the environment and even more expensive here. 2. They still sell too many processed goods. Verdict: Good place to start a rediscovery of a healthy lifestyle, but at the same time, ignore their so-called healthy snacks and just focus on their produce and grains selection.

Ooooohh baby. This place is amazing. The first time we went there we spent like 2 hours just wandering like tourists. Then we smartened up and starting buying groceries. Then we left and had buyers remorse because of the crazy bill. The ready made food looks so yummy, everything from proteins, to salads, to cakes and sweets. But let's face it, the beauty of the place is that if you buy a full fat chocolate cake, you somehow feel it's not that bad for you because hey, it came from Whole Foods! All of the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful, and they're all easy on the eyes. Tall and lean, glowing skin, sparkling teeth. I think they must get free food.

My favorite supermarket The best quality of food although little pricy I get all my meat from there

Poor Canadians, this Whole Foods is NOT as good as the ones in the states. First, the prices are crazy high compared to the Whole Foods in the states. Second, the prepared foods were inedible. I always love Whole Foods egg salad. Here it tasted horrible. As did the beef salami. Yech! The salad bar was good, ironically. We did buy good steak, yummy cheeses, and the regular groceries (albeit for a small fortune). So stay AWAY from the prepared foods (except the salad bar), and be prepared to pay. A lot.

This Whole Foods location is my go-to pit stop when I'm travelling between Niagara and the GTA. It's easy enough to find from the highway and offers a great salad and hot food bar. Produce and dairy prices are relatively high, but meats are comparable to my local grocery stores; the specialty two-burger packs are one of my favourite quickly made dinners. They have a great selection of specialty snacks that aren't offered in other grocery chains but the prices can be steep so this is a good spot for occasional items.

If you've never been to a Whole Foods before then be ready to be overwhelmed. It is usually rammed with people and there is an obscene amount of fresh food stations and they are constantly making more. The aromas alone make it worth at least a walk through. The prices are very expensive which make it well situated in Oakville.

I'm not a big believer of the Organic food culture. I think it's driven by produce companies. However, what I do love about Whole Foods is all the different stuff they have and the pre-made section. Roast beef sandwiches are great!

I've been to several Whole Foods and while the prices on some items are much higher than your regular grocery store, they carry items I just can't find at my regular grocery store! I needed Jerusalem artichokes for a recipe I was set on making and WF was the only place I could find them. Weeks later I saw them at a market for 1/3 the price but oh well. The have interesting snack foods, natural cleaning products, etc. Definitely not my every day grocery store but when you need the unfindable, I end up at Whole Foods.

Service at this grocery store is exemplary. Unlike some of the other Whole Foods.. like.. ahem.. downtown. It could use a slight update thought. Mississauga and Markham is looking a little more sparkly in comparison now.

Dear Whole Foods, Thanks for falsely accusing me of stealing a $1.00 bagel this morning! I've come in and purchased the same set of items each day for nearly 3 years, so being accosted today was quite a surprise. The way your plainclothes security chased me out to my (really expensive) car really got my blood pumping. He was like a gazelle on the plains. Of course, it would have been nice if he had announced he was from Security. Instead of just telling me to go with him back into the store. Initially I thought it was some kind of bizarre come-on shtick. Trust me, this guy had no chance of getting a date. He looks like he never shaved and his shirt never met an iron. After accusing me of stealing my cappucino and begel, I asked him to look at the receipt. He looked at it, and without reading it at all, told me again to go back in the store. I insisted the bagel and coffee were not stolen, and showed him the charges on the receipt. Instead of apologizing to me, he asked if I have anything else that was not in the bag!! I insisted on going back into the store. I thought someone there would apologize. When we walked in, all the staff were standing around the customer service area, staring at me. Everyone thought I stole. I asked for the General Manager, and instead, some young produce clerk came over. I knew it was not the store manager. The guy didn't make a proper apology and he said they have lots of problems with theft. The security guard kept smerking like it was all a joke. You people need to learn to apologize properly when you humiliate a daily customer with the accusation of stealing. When a security guard detains someone the are supposed to follow the law, or else it is false imprisonment. Like what you did to me this morning. Shame on whole foods oakville.

Just ok. WF was awesome when it just opened. Most of the items were directly imported from the US so you had access to products that are not sold in Canada. After a spell they had to remove certain items I was told because they did not have bilingual labeling and Cdn nutritional info on labels. Sadly they started accessing more local products which turned them into a glorified Longo's as the products sold are pretty much identical now except for their in house 365 label. Bakery and salad counters are above average and the Heath and beauty line is well stocked. Nothing there anymore for me to drive specifically there for anymore. You can find most of the same products retailing elsewhere.

Only three stars because I do like the foods they carry but this location is overpriced for regular groceries. I go here for the hot foods and salad bar once in awhile for lunch, still overpriced...

Im all for paying good money for healthy organic food but I just went o whole foods and the quality wasnt even mediocre. ... so dissapointed $20 for a small plate of food falafles were dry fish was mushy and not fresh. Chicken was tasted like the cheapest kind u can buy.

The hot prepared foods are disgusting. I have gone there multiple times, always the same. Bland, greasy, undercooked food. Not worth the crazy high prices either. Very disappointed.

A Whole Foods is a Whole Foods. The prices are high like always, but at least the produce is in great condition.

Whole Foods is expensive but quite yummy and fresh so you can't get too mad about it. Usually busy, this Whole Foods is filled with helpful (and sometimes quite attractive) staff. I love their ready made sandwiches and salads. Also recommend the samosas! Yum! There is a large bevy of juices as well. Really there is everything, but as I said it is expensive so don't get carried away when shopping here...unless your rich in which case feel like buying me some more food?

Are you kidding me Whole Foods? Bought a pizza today. I'm aghast at how much sodium/salt there was in it, or in the cheese that you use. I felt like vomiting after eating one slice. You've got to keep up with your reputation for wholesome food - cut the sodium. Or is it a new policy to go downmarket after Amazon bought you?

One of the few places that serves real healthy food. I am grateful that there is a whole foods in my neighbourhood. I love their salad bar and the atmosphere. Keep it up guys.

I come here for the atmosphere and the free wifi. I can't help but take a stroll into their overpriced buffet and pick samples for all over. It is so good, I can't just pick a few items. Then I finish off my meal with a kombucha or juice from the refrigerated section. This is the closest whole foods to Buffalo. :( Their sushi has some very creative items. I like their multi rice option, not just your usual brown or white rice. Great people, and I love this store.

Overpriced for what it is. The quality of prepared food use to be much higher. Around the time a lot of the renovations took place there was also a marked decline in quality and taste.

Was super super excited to go to Whole Foods today. I had seen it as I passed it on the train endless times, but never had gone in. Had some extra time on my hands so decided to finally go see this glorious looking Whole Foods!! I was looking for Emu Oil. -.- Asked a random lady stocking shelves, "Do you have emu oil here?" Big mistake. She gave me an upturned-nose glare of pure disappointment, shook her head (seemingly in disgust) and said, "That is completely against our standards here. That comes from the glands of the emus..." As if I didn't know that emu oil came from emus. I think she was wanting to say more but I didn't stick around. Just said, "Ok." and quickly left the isle. Way to make your customers feel like complete idiots and terrible human beings for asking a question. Holy. I'm sorry. She could've just said nicely, "No, sorry, we don't carry products that go against..." yadayadayada. Needless to say, not only did this interaction completely have me (who struggles with pretty bad social anxiety) feeling badly for the rest of the day, it completely ruined any chances of me ever returning to this place ever again. Terrible first experience. Only one redeeming factor here. The guy at the cash who was in training. Thanks for the smile! :)

Great place for your organic shopping. I have compared Whole Foods to other, smaller shops and I have to say that Whole Foods tops the list in choice and surprisingly in price too. The four stars is because I generally feel that organic food is overpriced everywhere.

Had lunch here today. I chose the hot food and my wife the salad bar. Good selection, tastefully presented. Wish the servers at the coffee bar were dressed in a more appealing fashion. Also picked up some grocery items including cereal and some cheese. The lady at the cheese counter was welcoming, most helpful and appeared to really like her job. Wish there were more folks like her. I've visited other Whole Foods both in Canada and the US. This one continues the tradition.

I no longer shop at whole foods oakville. their food is very low quality. I have come home with expired items, rotten chicken, fungus in my pasta to name a few. this week I came home with dry and browned asparagus. on their part they took the chicken back and offered me another one. I went to the butchery to select something else. obviously wasn't about to buy another chicken. The server noticing my indecision walked away and went back to cleaning the floor. I in turn went back to customer service to ask for cash back, which they declined to give me. I have only gone back there to use up the store credit they gave me. On the day I returned the pasta the department manager came to apologize in person and offered to give me a replacement of my choice. while trying to select a replacement we noticed that all the rows of fresh pasta had fungus on them. all of them. anyway I was introduced to whole foods in Atlanta and always wished I had more money. Now I do but find the quality in this store is poor. The muffins are flat etc. I actually walk out with money in my hands.

Who doesn't like Whole Foods? The store is huge, it has great produce/meat & fish counter, and dry goods for everyone (organic, gluten-free, dairy-free etc etc). However, the prices are exorbitant in my opinion. I will shop here only when my go-to market is out of stock on an item i need, or just doesn't carry what i'm looking for.

My rating is is a 3 because i really do not like the catering at whole foods Groceries: The store itself is nice with a good variety of food. There are many hard-to-find brands Not everything is organic so do not be deceived by the notion that if you buy from WF you dont have to worry about reading the labels. The grocery section is more expensive and I cannot shop there as often as I would like. Also i have to say that you have to be really careful about quality and freshness. The fresh bread section is very good though. Their banana bread is very good. Catering/Prepared Foods I have used the catering section at least 3 times and the prepared foods area at least a dozen times. Each time t has been less than stellar and given the prices I am hesitant to use them again. The most recent disappointment was their "Spread Platter". I had expected some tasty spreads and a solid variety of flatbreads and crackers as described. What I got was some okay dips and bland wonder bread type dippers: 90 percent small pieces of white baguette, a few pieces of white pitta , 5 or 6 long plain yellow crackers and( believe it or not) a few ritz style crackers! All the crackers were stale to boot. For $40 it was terrible and embarrassing I had to run around and pick up some real Flatbreads and crackers in the store and was really angry. Prior to this incident I had ordered a mini-dessert platter for a kids party with a clear note that I did not want anything with nuts Sure enough the platter had mini carrot cupcakes and chocolate squares - both with nuts and most terribly sort of hidden so it was hard to catch It was one of my parent guests who tasted and realized the nuts The prepared food section is OK. You have to really taste what you are buying even if you have bought it before because often the taste is just a bit "off" and I find consistency is not their strong point. Check for freshness too. Today i was looking for prepared samosas and all 15 containers were made 5 days ago and set to expire tomorrow. I bought a pasta salad for $12 from the case without tasting first and the mayo or something was off because it was so sour and not edible Last week I bought animal shaped sugar cookies from the dessert case because they looked so cute. One of them broke so i nibbled on it when I got home and was so disappointed at how stale they tasted. Overall the desserts are very good though. Their hot food counter is hit or miss. The food can be dry but the fresh salad bar is usually quite good with standout regulars like marinated beets or edaname succotash.

Very expensive for core groceries. The turnover is slower than a FreshCo or other store with high volume and so the meats and vegetables are not as fresh as you would think for such high prices. I've tried to like Whole Foods, because of atmosphere and endless piles of selection, but I've had some bad food after spending a lot, and won't shop there again.

This is my go to lunch spot whenever I'm in Oakville. They have a wonderful vegetarian food bar with hot and cold items. It is a bit expensive but well worth it. I love the free parking (as compared to downtown) and the cashiers have always been friendly.

Cashiers at Whole Foods Market in Oakville needs to be retrained in proper customer service. Refusing to bag my only one item purchased, at a time where it was so quiet was inexcusable. There were no customers in front or behind me.When asked if she bags items here, she replied I was rude and that the company only bags more than one item for customers, and that you need to ask them to do so first. She totally also ignored the fact I had brought my own bag placed in front of her. She felt she was superior. She, Natalie, clearly does not follow or have a clue about the company's core values. Perhaps, customer service should be clearly checked more thoroughly and spontaneously at this location. So much for gaining profits for this location. It only takes one rotten egg to spoil it for the rest whom actually care and value their jobs. Or , perhaps it was the fact that Natalie felt that an ethnic woman should be treated this way, as it made her uncomfortable to actually fully provide good and proper customer service in her position as a cashier. So sad to see how some companies still employ those with such clouded perceptions, which prevent companies from totally benefiting from all their hard work. Hopefully, not all Whole Foods Market locations employ poor customer service at the checkout counter as well as those whom are still prejudice in this very cultured world we live in.
