A Portland Whole Foods Employee Has Died of Coronavirus | Eater Portland

"I learned that an employee at the Pearl District Whole Foods has died of COVID-19; Whole Foods confirmed the death but has not released the employee’s name or role, saying it is withholding identifying information "respecting the family’s wishes and privacy." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Came here around 130pm on a weekday to grab lunch (I like their soups) but they were out most of the soups, lids for small, and medium size containers and they were out of water. The deli section was dirty.

Man, I didn't think an apple pie could ever not taste good... I can't be the only one who thinks the quality of food in general keeps going down. It's disappointing paying high end prices, with all the pretty packaging, and realizing Grocery Outlet would've been just as good, if not the better choice over Whole Foods. My Cheddar cheese had what looked like the beginning of mold all over it, it was sealed tight too. The turkey sandwich meat, is about the size in roundness as a large to Campbell's soup can, and seems to be mostly filler, not actual meat, and the apple pie has a weird aftertaste the resembles meat. Like a meat aftertaste... I stopped shopping here after they fought to not have to label the food they use GMO in. That alone was enough for me. But now that I see how bad the food is, I'll continue to stay away. To be fair, Whole Foods isn't alone in this. I would say all processed foods have gone downhill. I was just disappointed to see the Whole Foods brand seems to be going down as well. Seems like they have good produce tho.

Typical grocery store , nothing special : )) relative choice of dairy products, good common space for eating : )) Strange staff and security, they are probably participating in some kind of spy program lol, it is unacceptable that they are clearly identifiably watching visitors and inadmissibly initiating interrogation with questions lol :)) They are unacceptable trying to prevent people from taking photos, which is impossible, they are probably hiding something :) ), probably their own reputation and intentions. They probably create, imitate an unnatural appearance of being busy :)), especially the “security guard” girl in a hat, who is inadmissibly talking about some kind of “respect” that has no significance at all in the dialogue and is not relevant to the context of the conversation, she has nothing more to say :)) Это пиз..ц

Horrible customer service! Mean red hair (literally) cashier shows her attitude towards regular customers. I left without buying my groceries!!! Store allows dogs to come inside!! Food safety inspection needs to check entire store! Terrible experience. I am not going to shop at this location again. I rather go to New Seasons because they don’t allow animals in grocery store and they have very sweet cashiers!

Sarah Beth is a real gem. My card declined and they kindly helped me edit my cart so that I could leave with the groceries I could afford. Very sweet and thoughtful customer service.

Hot bar and salad bar were both nearly empty. Also, my toddler took a tumble off a stool in the dining area (only one area of 15 is low enough for children, and it was taken already), and as she cried and I comforted her, WFM cashiers visibly whispered about me, got on their phones, and called who I assume is a manager or security to come ask me what happened. I felt humiliated and left as soon as possible.

Never shopped here before, but I really needed to use the restroom and the CVS across the street didn't have one. So I come over to Whole Foods, find the restroom and there's a keypad with a sign that says the code for the restroom is at the bottom of my receipt. Annoying, but understandable. So, I buy a bottle of water and get the code. To my utter dismay, the restroom is disgusting. Graffiti everywhere, dirty floor, and there was literally poop on the toilet seat. The restroom code is 01754.

I love this store! You can recycle here, use prime, charge your device in a cute dining area. The staff is super nice and helpful. There's a bathroom, they take ebt, the food choices are awesome, the prices are not too bad, lots of vegan and vegetarian options, and the meat and seafood is really fresh. Good job, guys!
