Whole Foods Workers Say Amazon Prime Shoppers Are Overwhelming Stores | Eater

"Employees report that stores are being overrun by Amazon Prime shoppers who often ignore social-distancing rules, empty shelves before staff can restock, and rely on employees to locate items — one employee even called these shoppers “vultures.” The pickup process is complicated by missing items: when something is out of stock, the shopper must scan a QR code provided by an employee to continue, creating lines of shoppers waiting for staff to scan codes. Workers say this makes it harder to stock safely, while Prime shoppers are under pressure to fulfill as many orders as possible to earn a living. The situation is further complicated by the fact that the stores are owned by Amazon, whose founder, Jeff Bezos, has seen large financial gains this year." - Jaya Saxena

Fresh, Amazon’s Brick-and-Mortar Grocery Store, Opens in California | Eater

"Now owned by Amazon, this grocery chain is frequently used as the comparison point for the newcomer; shoppers have widely complained that product quality declined after the acquisition, and it is perceived as carrying fewer conventional national brands than the new concept. That perceived drop in standards has fueled criticism that the company’s grocery strategy emphasizes operational control and profitability over the prior quality expectations." - Jaya Saxena

One of my favorite spots for dessert and croissants now! Best desserts in town, in my opinion. Would always get a snack and coffee for breakfast / supper! Highly recommend!!!

Great place for anything you need. Great large and different varieties of foods, ingredients and healthy items. The store is always clean, well stocked and lots of helpful, knowledgeable staff to assist.

Horrible experience with the guy (with the long hair in ponytail) at the fish counter. Every time I’m there, he is rude/passive aggressive and unhelpful to customers. Understandable that everyone has a bad day but I’ve encountered this guy multiple times, & it’s horrible every time. Love the oysters here but will not be back due to him. All other staffs are great, especially those in the whole body shop. Great bakery as well.

Hi there, did you know it's illegal to sell me a beer and let me open on my own on premise? How are you controlling how much I consume if you let me open my own beers without knowing or monitoring how much I purchased. And, if you're going to give me a glass, at least have a glass rinser by your taps, I can tell there's soapy residue on this glass, I can taste it, there's no layers forming on the side when I drink my beer. Cheers!

I work here and I also shop here and I absolutely love it! A great selection of desserts and the bakery has the best cakes! Chocolate selection is great too! Definitely a nice store and someone is always there to help :)

Been visiting this location often and every time the visits are great. Very well organised and neat. Staff is very helpful. They do have Amazon returns on one side of the store which is very convenient.

As the person who helped Tommy Dean open the very first natural food store in Raleigh (in The Mann-Murr shopping center on Hillsborough Street,) I am still moved to envy all the financially free people who shop at Whole Foods OFTEN and WITHOUT THE SLIGHTEST QUALM. It was when they began serving meat and even introduced products like spam to their shelves that I realized their separate profitability agenda departure from natural, healthy foods. For ardent people watchers, Whole Foods should be high on their list. It is where wealthy people regularly shop for foods and grocery items. I must vouch for Whole Foods, as they have supremely cornered the market for sourcing excellent foods, products, and service, all which comes at a price, and actually represents a level of Hedonistic self-indulgence that I cannot afford nor even justify. Aside from wealthy gourmands, it's also a good place to find a lot of wannabe rich people ascribing to a philosophy that IMO, resembles what works for Publix. I have marveled at how Publix has built their Kingdom by shamelessly increasing their prices to around three times what they are sold for by all competitors. Let's call this, "Publix Syndrome." Anyone who has shopped at Publix will get this. I continue to wonder about such a strategy, but the tactic has served them well. Publix draws a bigger allegiance from shoppers reliant upon food stamps and EBT cards for groceries, But on any given day, people watchers will find a good many shoppers at both the aforementioned stores. It's their choice, to continue eating, and survive in what could be an unsalvageable economy. Bottom line? ...When I am convinced that I must have a product so special that it cannot be acquired anywhere than at Whole Foods, and/or nothing but the very best quality/presentation/flavor/and obvious reverence in preparation (like edible Nasturtiums, bakery delicacies, or deliciously rare BeurreKase for some distinctive purpose, people watchers will find me pushing a whole foods cart. Until I win the lottery or strike it big otherwise, I can be people-watched in the process of regularly procuring groceries from Harris Teeter and Food Lion.

I always love my shopping trips to Whole Foods. The differing fish choices are really helpful to trying new recipes.

Yelp
The store is very tight. Hard to shop. Disappointed at the lack of stock for oysters. The clerk wasn't eager to check the stock. Cary store is better.

Vladimir S.

Yelp
Nasty attitude, was cursed out by a worker in meat department named Dylan today. I think that the store manager needs to address training employees to leave their problems at home or blame themselves for their life choices instead of making customers uncomfortable while paying top dollar in this joint.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
You should update your website to reflect the closing of your juice bar so people don't walk 45 mins to get there and be rudely told by someone that it permanently closed and you should have called first. Just update your website maybe.

Giovanna P.

Yelp
If you are a person of color, do not even bother stepping foot into this store. Here I am, excited to buy an iced coffee, and all I get is rude monotone employees, with the most sarcastic attitude ever. I have never bought items from their cafe so I was asking about their options, and the worker was not even slightly interested in helping me. Not to mention all the "welcoming" stares me and my friends received! I will most certainly get my iced coffee else where. If I could rate a ZERO I would.
google avatar

Yelp
Really poor service experience at the meat department. Butcher was in a very bad mood and was rude in interaction. Food prices were mislabeled and when I tried to help correct the error he scoffed and said I didn't know what I was talking about. After weighing and labeling through the package at me. I hate leaving bad reviews but wow guy needs a juice box or something.

Yelp
Small but mighty. Bathroom is in the body shop. Honestly, I didn't take any pics because whole food is consistently awesome. This location is no different. Just small and compact. I would have bought half the store, but I'm on a road trip. Excellent outside seating for lunch break eating.

Ken G.

Yelp
The produce is consistently good, but not as good as Fresh Market. Nearly every item in the store is overpriced. I can find many of the exact same brand items at other stores for much less. The salad bar is good, but the hot bar is only good if you get the food shortly after it is put out. Breakfast items are just bad and very expensive. How hard is it to get coffee cups and lids that fit each other? The lids are too small to fit all the way around the cup. I pushed so hard I was close to collapsing the cup and it still dribbled coffee. Finally, I refuse to use self-checkout that only takes credit cards and that takes my photo.

Yelp
Other than being pricey (as in Whole Paycheck) this grocery store is awesome. Lots of healthy fresh options to satisfy special dietary wants/needs. Now you have to wait in Line to get in with your mask on--thanks for really practicing healthy shopping over profits!!! Buts it is worth it if you want fresh sustainable seafood, a delicious colorful choice of produce, fresh baked breads, and healthy choices. I feel that Whole Foods has been very proactive in keeping their customers safe. Thanks! There is a wide assortment of body care products as well as groceries.
google avatar

Yelp
Maybe it's seems aisles are small compared to other Whole Foods in the area and can be difficult to find available handicap parking it's just too crowded and difficult to navigate when it's just a little busy
google avatar

N O.

Yelp
Love the staff here, and the many specialized products not stocked at your typical grocery store. The store (and especially the whole body dept) went downhill somewhat after Amazon took over and started dictating changes to make things more generic and boring, but the staff still managed to keep this store special in my opinion. Thankful they still have a bulk section (please bring the rest of it back?), vegan items, a great selection of kombucha, and of tea, and nice organic produce. The bakery is awesome and does great custom orders. Even the whole body section still has some good products.

Yelp
Surprisingly busy at 8:30 PM on a weeknight, but if I was here, then others will be drawn to Whole Paycheck too. Rather than pick up fast food from a burger joint or a calorie-laden meal from the Mexican near the hotel, I opted to hit up the salad bar here at Whole Foods. Lots of choices and all of it fresh and well cared for, even this late in the day. The hot bar looked good too! It's a Whole Foods, so it's lots of low sugar and guilt-free eating here. Fresh produce looked amazing and well stocked. My only complaint is that it really feels like they're trying to jam it in a space that's too small. From the inside where the aisles seem close and there isn't much room for maneuvering in the fresh foods area to the tight parking lot, it needs widening. But if it's this or nothing, I'll choose this for sure.

Yelp
I really liked this Whole Foods a lot. It was my first time and I would definitely go back just because the store is so organized and they people are so nice. The parking lot was clean and the parking is great. The store is situated inside of a shopping center so there is ample amounts of parking. I ended up getting a cake from the bakery for a staff birthday. The guy in the bakery was extremely nice and helpful; I was taking a while because ALL of the cakes looked so delicious. I went with a 6' Carrot cake for 19.99 and it was delicious. The cake was so moist and packed with flavor. The guy that checked me out name was Laine (loved his name) and he was really nice and he wore a smile. He just seemed happy to be at work. Overall I enjoyed my experience there and I would definitely go back if I am on the side of town.

Yelp
This review is for the Cary, North Carolina, store at Alston Town Center. Shopping there, for me, is a pleasant experience. The reason I go there is that it's the best source of organic food in my area. The selection of fresh fruit and vegetables is extensive. There's often a fruit or vegetable I've never tried so I'll buy it. I like kumquats and this is the only store where they show up in season. Their store brand, 365, is one I buy a lot because the quality is equal to name brands. Whole Foods will have unusual items that are fun to try. Overall, with my Prime membership discount, there's often special savings. The people who work there are friendly, from produce. through to check-out. Overall, the convenience of being able to make an Amazon return, buy groceries, and even have a relaxing lunch, at the Le Farm cafe, on site, is great. There's a hot bar, take-home deli food, a great bakery, and plenty of seafood selections, fresh and frozen. I've shopped at Whole Food stores for years, at home and traveling.

Yelp
I mean Whole Foods is great. I love the salad and hot bar here. So many great dessert options and of course gluten free and vegan options for my poor husband who can't eat wheat or dairy. Love their produce, they always have those weird vegetables I have never heard of but a random recipe calls for them. I love getting a beer before starting my shopping, which makes the whole process so much more bearable. Their cheese station is amazing. Great local beer selection. They only lose 1 star because the workers tend to be rude and I think the store is pretty small and cramped

Yelp
This Whole Foods is the closest one to me so I frequent it semi-often (though I don't make enough money that I can afford to shop here every week). The store is a lot smaller than the North Raleigh location but still appears to have all the basics. The main reason that I come here though is for cakes and their hot bar/salad bar. Their cakes are fantastic and it's easy to run here and grab a birthday cake if you need one at the last minute! The hot bar and salad bar are always fantastic. Sometimes you get carried away and end up spending way too much on a box of food......My favorite thing that is special to this location though is their Weekday Pre-Made Takeaway Meals program. Some weeks, I'm crazy busy with work and don't have time to cook at home. If you place an order by the previous Friday (link is on their store website), you get 5 pre-made dinners available for pickup on Monday for $50 which is a pretty nice deal for Whole Foods! The meals change from week to week and are delicious. Definitely recommend if you are short on time or have busy stretches like I do. Parking is a little tight at times but there's plenty when you compare it to the Harris Teeter at Cameron Village. It's always amusing to me when people roll up to Whole Foods in their massive gas guzzling SUV's.......anyways I digress......

Yelp
I'm only eating whole foods now as part of my new diet, like whole pizzas, whole burgers, whole tubs of ice cream.
google avatar

Yelp
I am a huge fan of the vegan options I can find at Whole Foods: bulk nutritional yeast, dairy alternatives, vegan Amy's Mac n cheese, B12 supplements, and more! But I will say the produce I've gotten there recently has been SO DISAPPOINTING. My sweet potato rotted after 4 days, and I mean HUGE soft and fuzzy black spot that wasn't even remotely present when I purchased them. And my carrots didn't last a week.
google avatar

Jakub B.

Yelp
I'm a fan of this Whole Foods. As work traveler I frequent this store on a weekly basis to buy some food and snacks for the week while I work in the area. It went through a recent remodel and now includes a lot of the same amenities of the regular large sized whole foods. Previously it was missing some of the hot food options which made it a challenge when traveling with coworkers that just wanted some white rice (and before we had to travel to another Wholefoods just to get that option). If you like to pay a premium and get some good stuff go here, if you're not into the organic or Amazon taking over craze, skip and go to your local cheaper option.
google avatar

Yelp
Yup, I still detest this Whole Foods. I live in a suburb of Raleigh now and moved away from my precious North Raleigh Whole Foods. This one was closest to us to grab food to make our anniversary dinner and I regret not making the drive up to North Raleigh instead. None of the employees wanted to be at work, the store is still way too cramped for the traffic, there's no layout whatsoever to the store, the bakery is awful and some of the employees are either really lacking in common sense or just hate their jobs that much. Do yourself a favor and avoid this Whole Foods. There are alternatives in this part of town and there are better Whole Foods in the Triangle if you really need to visit Whole Foods.

Yelp
Whole Foods on Wade Avenue in Raleigh, NC made our daughter's wedding cake. It was delicious. We had vanilla and chocolate options for our guests. So many people commented on how great the cake was. And it was so reasonably priced. Thank you WF.

Yelp
The best way to describe Whole Foods Market is OVERPRICED! I decided to check it out since it was close by and I needed a few things but the prices blew my mind. For the same items you can get in Harris teeter or The fresh market you're being charged twice as much. It appears they get away with this by specializing in organic, vegan and gluten free options. You can get these options from other places and not spend an arm and a leg. However I realize that the options at Whole Foods are probably vast in comparison. With all of that being said this store was also just small and didn't offer a big selection. I was hoping to get something from their prepared foods section but it was disappointing. It had very little to offer.
google avatar

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
The Wade Avenue store has been a transition from North Raleigh, and dysfunctional at times. They seem to have stepped up their game since the holidays, however, so hopefully the improvements will continue. Also, when our overly sophisticated refrigerator decided to stop cooling, the "prepared foods" section saved us. Fun having family meals at their eat-in booths. All in all, we are grateful to have a quality grocery just around the corner.
google avatar

Holly K.

Yelp
I like this Whole Foods. It's a little tight compared to others and doesn't have the fun extras like the burger or ramen bar like the one in Chapel Hill, but it checks off the grocery shopping check list. The cheese section is a bit smaller than I'm use to, they have all the cheese you have come to expect at a Whole Foods though just a bit shoved in. I always love picking up some flowers here, I feel like they have a good variety at a decent price. The seafood counter is impressive and a great place if you are looking for fish for dinner. Lines are usually manageable and cashiers are friendly.

Brian S.

Yelp
I like Whole Foods but I wish they weren't owned by Amazon, and if they had organic pork sausage, that would be nice.
google avatar

Richard K.

Yelp
Quality of small details like packaging and ingredients has plummeted since Jeff Bezos bought Whole Foods. Cost cutting only gets you so far, Mr. Bezos.
google avatar

Anila Y.

Yelp
While this has been my primary spot for groceries due to the option to buy items in bulk in my attempt to reduce my consumption of food packaging, however this WF has a major issue: 9 times out of 10 there is at least one (if not more) produce item that is covered in mold!!! I have seen moldy kale, broccoli, shallots, you name it. Where is the quality control here...I like most WF stores, but this place is a health hazard.

Deb G.

Yelp
A big slide DOWNHILL in the past year! The flavors of the prepared foods are way "off". Some of my favorites are no longer available, e.g., apricot rugelach. I find the prices are not justified at all. I really like PUBLIX on Leesville Road and everything about Publix is worth the trek from my home, even though Whole Foods is only 1-1/2 miles away.
google avatar

Teresa W.

Yelp
I love wholes food for my veggies but boy ole' boy it can be expensive if you don't come with a plan. Extremely busy on Saturdays so don't do like I did but try to come during the week!
google avatar

Erin W.

Yelp
If you're used to massive supermarkets (Food Lion, Harris Teeter, etc.) you may consider Whole Foods to be overpriced and small, but for me the quality of the food (especially in the butcher and seafood areas) is right on the money. Yes, some items on your grocery list are better purchased at CostCo in bulk or more cheaply at Trader Joe's, but if you can't get out to the Farmers' Markets, Whole Foods has got you covered for sustainable, organic produce, fresh in-house ground meats and scrumptious seafood. There's a dining area where shoppers can fill a plate from take away and prepared foods area and have a nice meal. You can get into trouble here if your eyes are bigger than your stomach - this stuff ain't cheap! And the workers are generally pretty friendly, but don't be put off if you encounter some snark. Anyway...Down a short hallway past where they keep the baked goods , there is a 'whole body' section with holistic herbs, medications and other bath-body-aromatherapy products. Sometimes there is a masseuse working in the area where they stock the soy candles. Talk about relaxation! Quick Tip: Next time you're there ask the pizza guys when happy hour is. They usually have really good deals on hot oven-fresh pizza going on then, plus the toppings they use are top-notch! For extra points, grab a growler of Shotgun Betty or Flagship IPA from the case opposite the pizza area for a fun night in!
google avatar

Carla R.

Yelp
Oh what I would do for one of these to be in Fayetteville. The Vegan lifestyle is close to impossible here in the "boonies" of NC. Whole foods is a great one-stop shopping place to go and find the items you need for Vegan meals, Vegetarian meals, or just healthier nutrition. With this comes a greater expense because face folks, it's all about supply and demand, so if more people ate these types of foods, then more stores would carry them and Whole Foods would have to become more competitive. Regardless in my situation this store is still cheaper than Apple Crate, and Whole Foods carries a wider variety than Trader Joe's (but I so Love Trader Joe's) The Whole Foods store is clean, the staff is very nice and the merchandise I need is available. The hot food bar looks great but so many of the items are not vegan that I had to pass. READ labels because you might see the word "organic" and think it is Vegan but the ingredients may surprise you.
google avatar

Matt K.

Yelp
Not the fanciest, nicest Whole Foods you will ever find, but this one is my go-to based on location. I eat from the buffet pretty frequently which they do a good job of switching the items up. If I could just load a full plate of Mac n cheese, I would! Also, the pizza and beer section is great. The reason I go so much is because I get my morning energy drinks/tea/caffeine sources from there. The Guayaki brand is my favorite and Whole Foods has the best prices I can find, even better than Amazon, etc. Sometimes they do 2/$3 deals, which the best I can find otherwise is $2.69 - $3 a piece... It does get a bit crowded, especially around lunch time. Parking can be a doozy...
google avatar

Yelp
My groceries come from a few places: Trader Joe's, the State Farmers Market, Bickett Market, and Whole Foods. I get my produce/meat from the farmers market, boxed/canned goods from TJs, random goodies from Bickett Market, and everything else from Whole Foods. You can definitely break the bank shopping at Whole Foods, but it really depends on what you are getting. I usually stick to any produce I can't find elsewhere, juice and household things (like paper goods or Charlie's detergent), fish if it's on sale, grass fed beef if I ran out, the dairy aisle, the deli counter, and the bread aisle. It's hard, but I generally avoid the wine, cheese, most of Whole Body, sushi, the frozen aisle, hot bar, salad bar, cookies, and gelato (which is new as of this past summer). I'm 6'6" and it takes at least $12 of the hot bar to fill me up. I'd rather go out to eat for that. I despise the parking lot. I usually park as far as way as possible. Even when parking far away, I've still almost gotten hit a couple times. Not cool. My favorite things at Whole Foods are probably the good assortment of local beer (even growlers from Carolina Brewery and Lonerider), local milk (Maple View), and that they recycle #5 plastics. Unlike Fresh Market and Earth Fare, Whole Foods ALWAYS labels where produce comes from. You're definitely paying more than the farmers market, but if you don't have time to go there, then this is a reliable option.
google avatar

Kate C.

Yelp
This is my go to choice for all cakes. The bakery does a fantastic job. Not only are they delicious, but also beautiful. People are always shocked when I tell them where I got the cake.... and for how little I paid. My favorite for adults is chocolate cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing. They only need a 2 day notice and you can email pictures of your ideas if needed. And I love that they don't have all the chemicals of other grocery store cakes.... especially for kids birthday parties.
google avatar

Nativ R.

Yelp
Pleased with this Whole Foods. I am from SoCal so it was a pleasant experience at a new Whole Foods on the other side of the country and a fine one at that despite limited hot food choices due to (fake) Covid. (Just do your own research on Corona Viruses and viruses in general...) This Whole Foods offered a great selection of prepackaged hot foods so they stayed on point with their prep game.
google avatar

Waliya L.

Yelp
I love Whole Foods in general. It is my go-to place for produce, seafood, meat and fresh bread. Ever since Amazon bought the company, the prices aren't that different from what you find at Harris Teeter or Wegman's and they have great sales. My issue here is the store itself - it's small, cramped and tricky to maneuver through. The hot bar (pre-Covid), bakery and coffee bar are also sub-par compared to other locations. I wish this location would move to the old K-Mart space on Western and open with a restaurant in it, like the West Cary location that has a La Farm in it.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Of the Whole Foods in the triangle, this is easily the best. While some may complain about it being small, the clientele tends to be younger and more about their business. The Cary location is filled with soccer moms and old folks that love to take up the entire aisle while they scan their shopping lists. While this location can be super crowded and a complete nightmare at checkout, the staff is on point and keeps things moving like a well-oiled machine. Another plus to being the busiest location is the freshness of the produce. In Cary you're likely to see some stuff that has definitely been sitting out longer than you would hope to see at these prices. You won't have this problem in Raleigh, as the staff is more likely to be restocking things that are "hot" that day than fighting over who gets to bag a SAS executive's hot bar meals. And while we're on the subject of hot bars, this is a signature Whole Foods luxury. Not only is this a great spot for your grocery shopping, it makes a perfect lunch/dinner choice when you want something healthy and fast. They have a couple of decent soup choices, multiple fresh baked pizzas, endless hot entree items in the hot bar and display cases...and what could only be described as an "amazing" salad bar. Rounded out by one of the best meat departments and a bakery that makes my "desert island" chocolate mousse cake, don't believe the "whole paycheck" hype. Their store brand 365 items are competitively priced and of equal or better quality than what you'll find at THOSE grocers. Yes, the produce is expensive, but it is fresh, delicious and worth every penny. Don't forget to hit up the incredibly diverse selection of bulk beans, grains and exotic spices while you're here. I'll be seeing you real soon, WF.
google avatar

Carter C.

Yelp
There's so much to love about Whole Foods. It's like a grocery store, just better in pretty much every way. I'm a huge fan of the fruit smoothies. They'll even add spinach to them if you get it from the salad bar. The prepared foods section has tons of variety, giving you plenty of great tasting choices for taking a quick and easy meal home. I love the tuna and chicken salads, the soups, the different varieties of hummus. Don't think I've ever eaten something from there that wasn't good. The hot bar is great, with lots of options, including several vegan/veggie dishes. In general I find Whole Food's products to be higher quality than most of the other big grocery stores I go to. It's got the high quality, without the hefty prices, or the snooty atmosphere I find at Fresh Market. Even the staff is more friendly and fun than those you'd find at the usual chain grocery stores.

Marc A.

Yelp
Question for management. Why have you been out of Deli turkey or chicken lunch meat for over 2 months? No one I ever ask has a clue? Also when you ask to the manager they always say he is not there. What gives?
google avatar

JPink T.

Yelp
On this occasion I needed a bouquet for a family friend who lost a loved one. It was a little overwhelming, trying to find flowers, the floral section has little to no room of its own due to the fact that it's in the pathway of the entrance so many people bumping into me, but luckily I had a young vibrant knowledgeable florist who was patient helped me pick out the right flowers, colors, height, vase, what goes with what, what lasts longer, all the way to the most beautiful arrangement that was anything but sad. I will always seek out that young florist full of inspiration and always buy my floral arrangements here at Whole Foods.

Yelp
Did anyone know that Whole Foods had a hot breakfast bar? I just discovered it this morning... they have quiche, scramble eggs, bacon, cheese grits, potatoes, vegan sausage as well as their full scale salad bar. I got quite a bit of food for less than $5 bucks. I'm gonna keep this option on speed dial!
google avatar

Angie P.

Yelp
Pretty pleased with this original Raleigh location, although the hot bar can be hit & miss. I came two days in a row & was a bit disappointed to see pretty much the same offerings two days in a row. So one day, I had sushi & the next a deluxe BLT sandwich. Both items were delicious & fresh, but of course, pricey. ;) Staff is always friendly & the store is always clean. Parking is pretty bad, since it's in a busy strip.

Yelp
Not super impressed. It's always so crowded that you can barely take time to look at anything. The prices are insanely high on a lot of things ($5.99 for Kashi cereal?! The same cereal is $3.79 at Harris Teeter which is already an expensive store). The store layout makes it nearly impossible to find what you need or get around the massive crowds of people (the baked goods are in a case directly where people line up at the registers). And ever since Amazon bought them things have gone down hill...you have to be a Prime member to get any good deals and I refuse to support a tax-evading, planet-destroying mega-corporation. Every time I visit this store I'm reminded why I don't go to Whole Foods.

Yelp
Maaaaaan. I want to give 'em like a 1 for their prices. But the quality of their products and the high level of customer service brings that score up so incredibly much. I love their salad bar. I love their soups. I love their over-priced juice drinks with chunks of pulp floating around in them. I love their homeopathic medicines. I love their flowers. Their pumpkins. Their herbs. Everything. But you know what my favorite thing is? Grind your own peanut butter, that's what. I have to stop wandering in here just for peanut butter. Because at Whole Foods, I want to buy the Whole Store. They get me every time.

Yelp
Baby-size Whole Foods. Fine for a few quick things. Small produce section with a tile floor you DONT want to drive a cart over. Eh. It's fine. Not a wow- store.

Yelp
If it wasn't for the fact that every "quick" trip to Whole Foods ends up costing me $60, I'd rate it a 5. Their selection is actually quite good (especially given the smallish footprint of this store), the lunch buffet is always tasty, and their cheese selection (the rue mark of a good grocery store) is fantastic. I have bought a few of their sheet cakes for various work events and have always enjoyed the quality. They definitely cost more than typical store bought cakes, but they also taste better. Beware the lunch crowds; it can be standing room only at times.

Yelp
Whole Foods, whole paycheck. Now that I've gotten that tired joke out of the way... Whole Foods is known for its quality and freshness. This location keeps that reputation going. I usually stop in for the deli and prepared foods options. Their pizzas (whole pies and by the slice!) are amazing, the baked good are to die for. I purchased a birthday cake recently and it was a hit. So much in fact that another person at my party ordered their birthday cake from Whole Foods as well because they tasted mine. How's that for cause and effect? I love their food bar with different pastas and veggies and meats. I usually get their grilled or baked chicken option with mac & cheese and veggies. Everything taste like it was just made, just for me:) I have to admit I don't do any grocery shopping there. So many stores (including Aldi's) has organic selections and fresh produce and this Whole Foods is out of the way. But if you are in the neighborhood, stop and get some lunch or dinner from the deli area. You will NOT regret it!

Yelp
Beer while you shop. Yes. Yes please. They have a large selection of craft beer on tap and the carts are outfitted to hold your pint while you shop and sip. The layout of this store is organized and the staff is knowledgeable. It is always clean and tidy. There is a bulk section, fresh produce, butcher, craft beer, hot bar, coffee bar and holistic center. There are also tables to eat at. There is also food that is Paleo and Whole 30 compliant. This store is pricy compared to places like Trader Joes but sometimes that can't be avoided.

Yelp
Rude people everywhere and their Amazon return service is ALWAYS down. Don't go here, I don't recommend it. This place is overrated and overpriced
