"A high-end grocery boom has come to West Seattle, at last. Just a week after PCC Community Markets opened up an outpost on California Ave, a long-in-the-works Whole Foods has arrived at 4755 Fauntleroy Way SW in The Whittaker Apartment Complex. The 45,000 store had been hampered by construction delays for many years (Whole Foods first announced its intentions to build in the neighborhood back in 2006), but residents can now finally delve into the fancy produce, meats, and other goods from the Amazon-owned grocer." - Gabe Guarente

This Whole Foods location is close to my house and I like it. It’s, well, a grocery store. It’s a very modern grocery store with a lot of healthy choices. The customer service is okay and prices are expensive, but in a way, you are paying for quality. The poor customer service that I have experienced at times is the reason for my four star rating. As a vegetarian, I really enjoy their large selection of plant based products. They have many to choose from, and many that are not available from other grocery stores in the area. I really enjoy the ready to eat hot food. I work from home so I go there sometimes for lunch and they have everything from sandwiches to cheese lasagna, a salad bar, a hot bar, and more. The ready to eat food is always good! If you are looking for a grocery store with a large selection, great quality, and good ready to eat options, I highly recommend Whole Foods!

Google
We only used the Amazon return desk, but the store was easy to find, looked wonderful and seemed like a good place to shop, we may return for that. The Amazon process itself was great as well. In and out in minutes, including parking nearby at the bank.

Google
Ever since Amazon bought Whole Foods Foods, it’s turned into a distribution center and less of a higher end grocery store. I used to look forward to exploring the place kinda like Met Market or Trader José. Now I look forward to bringing my Amazon returns back which is actually SUPER convenient. People are still great, but the quality just don’t seem the same. Just go check out the hot bar or bakery. Tell me I’m wrong. 3 ⭐️… average grocery store

I don't normally shop at whole paycheck, but I had to go in today to return something. Turns out they have really good deals on some things, and a whole lot of cool stuff that other stores don't have. I don't think I could shop there weekly for basics, but at the same point I'll be hitting it up at least twice a month. Surprisingly good.

Google
In two words: supplementary shopping! I used to dodge this store, thinking the interior was an overpriced Trader Joe's... Instead, I found bath salts with magnesium, sandwiches at half-the-price when I need quick, prepared foods. More variety than Trader Joe's, comparable to QFC, though more focused and specialized. While, guiltily, I admit I would probably never fill a shopping cart with half-priced sandwiches and under $10 bath salts, the locale is close to California Avenue, Trader Joe's, and the aforementioned QFC--so my shopping trips are a roundable, favoring all three stores, with select merchandise making Whole Foods a necessary stop for my daily sandwiches, when dashing, and hygiene products sold at the same price at online, minus the shipping from Amazon, and in the same general area that allows me to slip in for my last few groceries after financing QFC and Trader Joe's with enough hungry shopping to pay off a small, third-world country's national deficit. While I may be only a selective shopping, spotting specialized supplements and hygiene products common to Whole Foods, this has become an integral part of my circuit each week. I also recommend checking out the soups, at the behest of one friendly cashier. Apparently, they last awhile, and are tasty while Seattle is prepping for nine months of sleeplessness and battleship grey skies! Thanks, Whole Foods. You may not have all my needs, but the needs you possess are mandatory, not optional shopping, for health-conscious customers who crave more variety to their personal products, A-Z, than the single aisle dedicated to such wares at other, nearby venues....

Google
Great place to shop your groceries at a fair price for very good quality. It used to be pricier but it has become more competitive since Amazon bought it. They often feature sales and amazing Amazon Prime deals. Everything is very clean and organized. Spacious aisles so you can shop while keeping your 6ft distance. The staff is knowledgeable about the products and very friendly. Amazing selection on snacks, soups. The meats and produce are excellent. A lot of local and very cool new products are sold here. Wide variety of vegan stuff. And I love their bakery! So yum!!! Wonderful store. DELIVERY and CURBSIDE PICKUP AVAILABLE.

Google
Believe it or not but when I type “H Mart” I DO NOT want to go to Whole Foods so buying ad space for that term on google maps is a scummy practice. Good thing I wasn’t exhausted and just following my GPS (which I’ve done before for another retailer who engages in the same practice).

Google
Bright cheerful well laid out store. Over the top customer service. A shout out to an employee who retrieved and held a card/envelope I accidentally left in cart. I called after arriving home and said where I left the cart parked on a back end aisle. Not only that but they politely put it in their outgoing mail! A+ service! Thank you Whole Foods and Jeff Bezo!

Yelp
Friendly staff and reasonable prices for quality products. Decent hot food, salad, and dessert stations for a quick no cook no nonsense meal. Nice selection, although they did run out of stuff sometimes. Appreciate the prime discount on sale items.

Yelp
A great centralized mostly-organic store and on the corner of a prominent intersection in West Seattle en route to The Junction area. Clean, organized and has a fresh aura about it. Great selection of my simple staples and on occasion some things good in the hot bar to mix with brown/white rice. Location is great and near other points of interest if you want to combine errands nearby (nails, coffee, pizza, bank, etc).

Yelp
Endless supply of Topo Chico, La Croix. And Waterloo. Clean store, helpful staff and the fact you can do amazon returns is a plus. fresh fruit and a lot of organic items to choose from.

Andi P.

Yelp
The employees at the customer service desk are clearly not happy taking Amazon returns and are throwing shade at their customers in retaliation. I've been there twice in the past 3 weeks with small, well prepared returns and it felt like the soup nazi scene from Seinfeld: no response to my sincere "hello!", smile, and eye contact - no acknowledgement of my humanity whatsoever. Next! I made purchases as part of the convenience which is likely the intent of their parent company. More sales = more jobs. There was a shining light at my last visit in the person at the self checkouts who was helpful and friendly. What a perfect candidate to work at Customer Service!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
I am super pleased with the meat department here. Aaron is awesome and so are the new and more seasoned staff. It is a great contrast to the other grocery store meat departments in West Seattle. The always have good berries at affordable prices and salami and cured meats, cheeses, and vegetables never disappoint. This is a good store. Thank you WSWF :_)

Yelp
This is sad review to write. I love grocery shopping, particularly co-op, specialty/culture specific and organic/health markets. I used to be a huge Whole Foods fan, and have even been to the original Whole Foods in Austin before it was a "thing." When Seattle only had one WF in Roosevelt I loved exploring the aisles, finding new local products, and enjoying the food bar offerings. The shelves were jam packed and it was an exciting interpretation of the old school health food stores I discovered in college (which WF eventually started buying up - RIP Bread & Circus). Amazon's purchase of Whole Foods has brought some unwelcome changes. Food bar/prepared items quality/variety is not as varied and interesting. You can still discover regional items and unique differences in stores across the country, but the 365 Brand has squeezed out the variety/quantity of interesting products, and the general blending of the Amazon and WF brand is kind of a bummer (except for the ability to return Amazon items to a brick & mortar store -love that). Overall I would give WF 3 stars, but my review today is based on the West Seattle store which is by far the worst WF I have shopped in. I know the pandemic has been universally hard on supply chain, staffing etc, but the low quality of this store is kind of shocking (as much shock as one can muster when talking about grocery stores). The last several times I have visited this store there was no hot, cold or soup bar. The bakery is barren, no pizza, and barely any prepared foods available or worth eating. Produce section is tiny, as is cheese. There is no identity here. You can still get some decent groceries at WF in West Seattle and in general, but shopping at WF now is a joyless experience.

Danae S.

Yelp
This was our first time here. We only came here to return an Amazon package but ended up exploring and purchasing! There is free two hour parking under the grocery store with elevator or stairs taking you up to the store. We came here on a Friday morning. My first impression was it looked very white, bright and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the cute coffee shop area inside. The bakery was nice with lots of yummy treats. We ended up getting a Cubano sandwich from the Real Food section. I was happy to see they had they all their self serve stations open. I have been to some stores since COVID that still have not done that. They have cashier stations as well as self check out - two of which were out of order, but we didn't have to wait too long to check out.

Yelp
so beyond annoyed that this location doesn't open until 8. pre work grocery shopping is impossible with such late hours. what is even crazier is i see employees in there from 1am-7am having meetings. i live above this location and it sucks that i can't even take advantage and get last minute breakfast items bc they are having their meeting time. if you're going to have employees working stupid hours and all the lights on at least let us use self check out. poop butts

Demi B.

Yelp
This store was fully stocked even during a snow storm during a pandemic. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful. It was clean and the vibe inside was great. I also love that they have their own parking lot (inside of the building's underground garage). I would highly recommend this store.

Deanna W.

Yelp
I purchased an Amazon order and was surprised my order included expired canned goods from September 25, 2022. I contacted the store to inform them and they hung up on me. My only intention was to warn them, Amazon already provided the refund. I uploaded a picture, whomever prepared my grocery bags, probably didn't think it would noticed.

Yelp
I purchased misc item to make spaghetti, one item was 365 Parmesan cheese. Oh my gosh , it was horrible , it was awful , acetone scent and taste. No time to return , ruined dinner. So gross

Yelp
Wow, my favorite market for organic foods for a healthy living has finally opened. Thank god Whole Foods has come to West Seattle and even close to my home..... I didn't wait in that giant line to be first in the door but I showed up in the afternoon for my experience. Humus which happens to be one of my favorite treats from Whole Foods was my I enjoying indulging in was my item I came for today. Also an amazing beer selection is a major plus so much so I grabbed a 6 pack of Georgetown Brewing Co Lucille. I'll be back very soon for more eats & treats.

Yelp
Whole Foods has always provided a top-notch groceries, produce, and prepared sections. The prepared food section at Whole Foods that I know from my years of shopping at Whole Foods in TX and CA was a key distinguisher in how I choose my quick grocery shopping when there's 4 grocery stores within walking distance. However, in the last few months, this store has severely lacked in providing a prepared food section that it is more than capable of delivering to its shoppers. As a professional, I usually finish work between 4-5. Sometimes if I don't have a meal ready to cook I like to go to Whole Foods and get something from the hot bar that is quick and easy. Well now there's nothing available at the hot bar after 5 because there's not enough staff to manage it. On a Sunday at 12 PM the hot bar and pizza bar was empty with the refrigerated prepared section having not much more. I thought maybe the next day things would be better. However, at lunchtime on a Monday, there was still nothing in the hot bar. Even before this, the pizza bar was not being run for several months, only reopening recently. It has become something so inconsistent that it is almost a 50-50 crapshoot if the hot bar is open or not. What's the point of having a whole third of your store dedicated to something when you can't successfully utilize all of it? To an extent, I can understand how largely staffing issues affect this, but at the end of the day, this is something that is a competitive advantage for this store and they are not utilizing it to its greatest potential currently. I am sure that other shoppers feel the same. Outside of this, the store is great, like any Whole Foods. The food is good and healthy, the overall products are strong, it has a great cafe, and the employees are always exceptional. I will continue to shop at this Whole Foods, but I ask that you find a way to solve this issue with your prepared food section. Once it is taken care of this review might become a 5-star review.

Brian H.

Yelp
The lack of empathy or how to solve a problem on your self checkout machines is beyond anything, Last night 12/05/22 I was at this store and the person who " helped me" instead solved a problem just started giving me kinda attitude for not knowing how to do his job to solved a simple math problem on his self-check out machine if I didn't need to come to this store anymore I would, but I have to get drinking water from this place, but for sure some of this employees needs to improve their passive aggressive attitude and k ow how to solve a simple problem on his own computers.

Lane H.

Yelp
This is *the* worst Whole Foods I have ever shopped at and I've lived in several different states and even Canada. We used to have groceries delivered by them but we quit doing that after they left over $200 worth of stuff in front of our door in full sun during the summer - meat, dairy, frozen, all spoiled because they didn't ring the bell. We work from home, so we didn't miss it, they just didn't alert us and it's almost impossible for us to hear cars on our driveway. So since then I have been doing curbside pick up. We routinely get moldy, damaged and expired produce and dairy, and I usually have to call Amazon to get them to refund the items because their online return system fails to work most of the time. And sadly, we continue to shop there because it's the only Whole Foods near us and their prices and selection are better than most of the other nearby organic food stores. I have not felt compelled to review the store until now, but tonight my husband did a curbside pick up of groceries and in our order were four half gallons of half and half that we had ordered with an expiry date of July 15, 2021. I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't like July 2022, but sadly, it wasn't and all four half and half's were two months past their expiration date. We called the store and the staff was nice, but this isn't the first time I have called the store and complained about expired or poor quality food and nothing has improved so I assume that this is just the way this store is and I have to shop there at my own risk. But my advice? Check the expiration dates!

Yelp
This Whole Foods is the perfect size. Pricing for healthy options is unmatched in the area. Staff is friendly and kind every time I'm here. Good job Whole Foods Yes lord Yeehee

Mac B.

Yelp
Well stocked. Great variety. Large isles and very spacious. One of the nicer Whole Foods in Seattle.

Jesse G.

Yelp
This new-ish grocery store is walking distance from three other grocery stores and a short drive from two other high end grocery stores in the neighborhood. Pluses: - Extremely spacious and has been almost empty every time I have gone during the pandemic. - Has all the high-end local (and non local) stuff I enjoy, from Firefly kimchi to Schilling cider. -Has hard to find without leaving West Seattle ingredients, like halloumi and an endless selection of non-dairy ice cream. Neutrals: - It's well lit, which I think is to make it seem cleaner but it also makes it seem a bit like grocery shopping in the Handmaid's Tale. - Now owned by Amazon, so add your own political views to the plus or minus box for that. Minuses: -What I usually love about Whole Foods is the endless amount and variety and deliciousness of prepared foods. Even in pre-COVID times the selection was limited and now it's pretty uninspiring. -Regular groceries seem like they would be expensive. I'm not going for regular groceries here though. -- I'll probably keep coming by this WF when I can't find something somewhere else, but it will be interesting to see how it fares in a multi grocery environment.

Yelp
Well I went there yesterday you know it's okay one thing was at the hot water in the in the bathroom was kind of hot so it's kind of hard when you're you don't have a setting on that thing you could reset it. which you know you can get that now you. you used to not be able to do that on those automatic ones. but I know planet fitness has them okay so anyway. I really like the food when it's there they had a problem with the pineapple yesterday. cuz it didn't wasn't cold enough so they can't serve it. when it's not cold which is too bad but you know that's kind of like the trucking thing. kind of like put a damper on that you know you. can't get pineapple from Hawaii or wherever it's from and expected to be here you know they got to cut it up and everything. you know they can't just you know it takes a while to get it done with the lack of labor now. so anyway the food was okay the service well they weren't very busy so the service was fine. and the ambiance you know I don't know what's up with grocery stores and a lot of businesses they just go ape s***. about the lighting I don't know why they have to they lit lighted up in there like San Quinten. I don't get it you don't need to but I went to a gym the same day and I thought it was really nice in there cuz the lighting wasn't so bright. I mean of course it was bright cuz it's you know a gym. but not like usual okay well enjoy your day happy spring.

Dianna T.

Yelp
I've been to this Whole Foods Market a few times. I think they have a great location (right on Fauntleroy). The store is very easy to get to if you are coming from the north, but you'll probably have to find a creative route if you are coming from the south. They have plenty of free spots in the underground garage, which is great! I don't do my regular grocery shopping here because I think it is too expensive. But, I do like coming here for speciality items like hard to find ingredients, gluten free items, or vegan desserts. They do have "Prime Member Deals," where you get certain items on sale if you are an Amazon Prime Member, but I've never benefitted from this. They also have a pretty extensive hot food section with pizza, tacos, etc, in case you need something quick for dinner. This location has some self-checkout machines, which is pretty cool if you only need to get a few items.

Yelp
I was so excited about Whole Foods opening, we came on opening day and it wasn't as busy as the PCC grand opening but WF is bigger. I loved how there were a bunch of fruit samples and they were well stocked (not the case the second time we came, 2 days later). Anyways, sort of just a standard WF. Did appreciate how many savings were provided and available for prime members, so thanks for giving us the opportunity to save a few bucks on overpriced merchandise (haha). So our groceries were insanely pricey. Anyways, WF deli has always been one of my favorites, that ended yesterday. I got the super food broccoli salad and although it was good, Met Market does it better, the WF one was sweeter. I also got the brussel sprout and quinoa salad, not good, all you taste is lemon juice. The slice of meatloaf and mushroom gravy was SO salty, I couldn't eat it. Grabbed some dessert and it was just so-so, I have always loved WF cookies and it just didn't blow me away (snickerdoodle sandwich and mini toffee). Also got the Neapolitan cheesecake, meh. Wouldn't get again. The best flavor was strawberry, so naturally it had the smallest amount in the cake. Chocolate macaroon was good, taste and texture were like a brownie. It's cute inside, esp. the coffee area. But a lot of the food options are more expensive than other grocery store offerings and when compared to Met, PCC, TJ even safeway and QFC, WF is the most expensive except for the by the pound options which is all the same price. I prefer the Bellevue location, GF prefers Denny Triangle. We both love the one in Portland above all others, even the Austin one.

Elyse S.

Yelp
I know there are a handful of other premium markets in west Seattle (Thriftway, Met Market, and the newly (re)opened PCC) all within a few miles of each other, but as somebody with food allergies it is nice to have another addition to the area. This Whole Foods market is right across the street from the LA fitness (and Trader Joe's) and while street parking is scarce, they have ample underground parking with spaces that fit all cars (not just compact) and lots of cart return stalls. The store is gorgeous and all shiny and new but has all of the amenities you'd expect at a Whole Foods. I appreciate that it's also a very large store so you don't always feel like you're bumping into other shoppers (looking at you, SLU location). They have all the staples plus a pizza bar, taco bar, to order sammies at the deli and an array of hot foods (that tend to lean towards the Indian side some days and American comfort food the others), soups and salad bar. With my allergies I tend to avoid all of that because of cross contamination but it looks good. I like Whole Foods because they carry a lot of gluten free foods and dairy free alternatives. They are still pricey, but in my opinion the least expensive of the premium stores, especially since prime members get additional discounts. I will say I wish they had a better kids fruit policy, like that of PCC's where kids can eat any fruit while you shop and not have to choose from a rack of organic bruised apples, green bananas and sad tangerines. The staff are all helpful, as expected, and friendly. They have a nice area behind check out to sit and eat and watch tv. They also have a nice coffee bar with lots of cafe seating. Next to thriftway, this is the closest other "fancy" market and I prefer this over the Safeway, QFC and even Trader Joe's (that parking situation -gah!).

Yelp
So I finally checked out the new Whole Foods in West Seattle. Does it have what it takes to take on the neighborhoods three other 'premium' grocery stores (Metropolitan Market, PCC, Morgan Junction Thriftway)? Read on and see, Dear Reader... THE ROSES: Ample parking underneath the store. Very attractive layout. Pleasant, young, and rather attractive staff are very helpful, in that fresh-faced, earnest manner you get from Amazon's Treasure Truck staffers as well as Starbucks employees. Nice quality merchandise in all departments. Trendy looking, mostly young Millennial clientele. Get ouout your 'hipster bingo' cards. Amazon Prime members get plenty of nice discounts, which come in handy because... THE THORNS: This place is on the spendy side. I mean really, $7/lb for ham hocks? The produce is also all organic, so that's fine if you buy into the whole 'organic' schtick, but if you want to save some dough and get good 'ol mass market stuff, you need to schlep two blocks up to QFC or Safeway. Selection is also a bit on the spare side compared to MM; too much space being taken up with twee health & beauty aids and deli sections. THE VERDICT: Whole Foods/West Seattle is tailor-made for the young, hip, well-heeled crowd that's living in all the new apartments in the Alaska Junction area. For the person with money but no time, it's a great spot to get prepared foods and take back to your apartment to eat while you binge-watch Netflix. For the serious foodie, though, this place hasn't sold me yet.

Yelp
Unfortunately, one's experience is determined by several factors. My overall 0 rating was determined by the, ironically, customer service team. Michelle and Rob did not take advantage of the in-store employees' excellent training in their interactions with customers. Be aware that as a customer, you have a high probability they will not take care of you with their lack of humanity.

Iryna B.

Yelp
Very high prices and selection is underwhelming. No other products but all organic which of course make prices increase too. The only good section is the ready to eat foods but with residents being different from downtown area and more families and people who buy to cook, that section is not popular really Extremely overpriced cheeses and sushi from literally the same company as sold by Safeway nearby

Matt H.

Yelp
This is the worst Whole Foods location I've ever been to (West Seattle). The customer service has been awful every single time I've been there. And their refund policy for crappy products is petty and insulting, as noted in other reviews of this location. I'm done. If I'm going to pay those prices I expect much better. Even calling their corporate customer service number to complain was incredibly frustrating. Top to bottom terrible experiences.

Joe P.

Yelp
Allocated this whole foods via GPS so that I can get me a slice of pizza. I got here and my pizza was waiting on me I'll order me a slice of pepperoni and sausage with a bottle of water all for $5.38. Pizza was good hot and it's all gone I'll be back later to pick me up some sushi. This is a great location in the area the parking is located underground off the main street.

Michael R.

Yelp
What a rude welcome to West Seattle. I generally love Whole Foods and eat at their other stores a couple of times a week. I have been so excited about the new store opening just a few blocks from my house. Today, I had lunch there and then walked there this evening for dinner with my daughter and to pick up some groceries. We walked there with our dog which we tied up on in front of the store but away from the front door. When I came out, one of their security guards was standing there and asked me if that was my dog. I cheerfully said yes and he proceeded to tell me that you can't just tie up a dog in front of a store. He said he had been standing there for "almost an hour" (maybe 30-40 minutes) and that you cannot abandon a dog for "almost an hour". I asked him what the time limit was. He had no answer. He then informed me that he had called the police. It took me a moment or two to realize that he was actually serious. Yes, this is as crazy as it sounds. I went to Whole Foods and they called the police on me. I am not generally the type of person that has the police called on them. I'm a slightly balding, middle-aged father, homeowner in west seattle that is usually in bed by 9:30. Wow, just wow.

Danielle C.

Yelp
This is a very nice Whole Foods Market. It's smaller than a regular WF. I like how brightly lit everything is. Their skin care, health and beauty products section was very nicely laid out. The prices are not cheap but I have used some if their brands. It's not bad, does feel very nice especially if you can get those on sale!

Chad K.

Yelp
the food there is a one star. I'm giving two stars because they at least tried. pizza is absolute garbage. the rice bowls are very nasty. I'm a local in west seattle and have been here many times hoping it gets better but literally every time I have eaten there I've nearly vomited. other whole foods have been very good. this location needs a lot of help. hopefully one day someone will figure out that serving garbage food isnt what people want. I guess I will be back with better instructions. If you get a rice bowl, order sauce on side, otherwise they will pour an entire ladle drenching all the rice.

Geoff P.

Yelp
Great place, friendly staff. Produce is by far the best in the area, plus most of it is actually organic. Highly recommend over other stores in the area. Whole Foods only carry higher standard products too.

Phoenix mi m.

Yelp
I love how friendly all the staff are whenever I visit this location! This year, I always get organic coconut milk during every visit and treat myself to the yummy sliced cakes. Chantilly cake slices are delicious, so are chocolate and tiramisu slices. The baked pastries and pizza are very good too.

Angel R.

Yelp
The new west seattle Whole Foods is the store to beat! I literally couldn't find precut turkey anywhere. Joe in customer service called around to help, then with no results recommended me to Sabian in the butcher department. Sabian cut up two whole turkeys for me and saved the day for my family event. I couldn't ask for better customer service anywhere. I swear by this store (you all should too).

Mike S.

Yelp
I had higher hopes since it was brand new and being a Prime member I thought there'd be some great discount options. Let down with pricing (there's a reason it's referred to as Whole Paycheck), no reason to shop here with PCC, Metropolitan Market and four other grocery stores within 5 minutes away and better pricing. The lighting is nuts, did they want to imitate the gates of heaven or something? Freaking about blinded me as we walked in. Tone it down.

Jackie F.

Yelp
Super clean, lots of safe social distancing procedures including curbside pickup. Everyone is super friendly and I like the selection. There's always parking available and the food is fresh. I like how I can return some of my Amazon packages there too - saves me time.

Yelp
SO glad WFM has opened a location in W Seattle. It is in a great spot right across the street from Trader Joe's (for all of the cross shoppers) and down the street from a QFC. This location has ample parking which is great if you make the short drive over the bridge from South Seattle (where the only other natural grocery option is PCC in Columbia City). Store is very clean, well laid out, and has a great selection of items. Has standard WFM staples you would expect: fresh bakery, butcher, hot bar, olive bar, outstanding cheese section, pizza bar, deli, local beer and wine, health and beauty, and great produce. There is also a coffee shop (with seating) and a cafe area to enjoy any of your purchases on-site.

Yelp
Horrible place to buy fish which is stinky and old. The way the fish is wrapped will stink up your fridge because the bag leaks. If you ever ask to take the scales off they will do the worst job. Seems that there is no quality assurance for fish or meat. If you ask for a personalized juice they will offer WATER as the base! Who would want to pay $10 for a juice with water base?!

Yelp
This store consistently reeks of natural gas! It makes me nauseous to be in there even a short period of time.

Yelp
It's a Whole Foods, so naturally you have all of the fixin's that you've come to expect from WFM plus a shiny new location to drive up local property values like clockwork. Out of all five million stores to choose from in a 3 block radius, this is my go-to if I need a quick bite and don't feel like cooking since it has the most vegan options, a hot bar, and not the Trader Joe's parking lot. The sandwich cafe is convenient as well because they have touch screens where you can order without talking to anybody at all like a real Seattleite, complete with a self checkout where you can go about your entire Whole Foods experience while (you guessed it!) not acknowledging anybody's existence at all. It's truly a millennial hipster paradise and as a millennial hipster I do have an appreciation for it. My biggest gripe with this place is that when your owner is worth 130 *billion* USD so surely he can spare a few bucks to not make a serving of refrigerated vegan ravioli cost $9 a pop? Can you throw us a bone here, Jeff?

Yelp
I was checking out at self service and my item wouldn't scan. I asked for assistance and the clerk grabbed the item out of my hand and said, "that's too bad". Not only did he make no effort to assist me, he followed me until I left the store. I could not go to Customer Service because he made me leave the store. I sent a complaint on the Whole Foods website but no surprise, no response. FYI I went to another store for the same item and the clerk had trouble scanning it! My location is Seattle not San Francisco

Yelp
This store is amazing with thoughtful touches throughout. I usually don't notice decorative details in grocery stores but the decor and lighting are specifically designed to represent different areas of the West Seattle neighborhood! And some of the wood and tiles were locally sourced! Instead of speeding though the aisles as if my grocery shopping were a chore, I am inspired to enjoy my visit and find new product and treats! The Whole Body section is especially impressive! Lots to see there. I was shopping on a busy Saturday and I didn't have to wait in line at all! I lived that! The customer service is impeccable which makes me regret all the time I wasted shopping at other stores. Wow! PCC can be too snobby and thinking about a recent customer service experience at QFC makes me cringe. I'm so glad WF is in my neighborhood! Great quality produce and actually much better prices than expected! What a treat! No excuses not to eat more healthy- I'm inspired! Also, there is a delightful coffee shop inside with fresh juices and even açaí bowls. Great seating and atmosphere as well.

Yelp
First time in and I must say I was underwhelmed. Space is very bland/uninviting. Felt like they built it so it could be power washed each night. The hot/cold food bars were nice, but not amazing like their competition (Met Market)! I ordered a specialty bowl to order and was completely disappointed. Ordered with lettuce as the base and got a few pieces of leaf lettuce (really, leaf lettuce??) Ordered veggie instead of a meat protein and not sure I even got any veggies. It was a box full of beans! When I checked out they rang up my bowl ($8) and then weighed the box and charged me for the hot food bar also ($11+). Luckily I only was purchasing a few items, otherwise I might not have caught being double charged for my very bland lunch. Hoping that they will improve as they continue. Would love to be a regular, as it is so convenient to my home.

Yelp
Disappointing store, with many indications of problematic management. First, the store is selling a lot of expired product or packed food that is aged. For example, they were selling half and half that expired the previous day. When we found cream that hadn't expired yet, it curdled within 24 hours. And then when looking at packaged salads, they had salads that had been packed five days prior (!) and was beginning to disintegrate into a putrefied liquid. This is basic grocery store management: don't sell old and expired product, especially if you're a "premium" brand. If for some reason you decide to shop here, carefully look at how old the product is. Second, the hours are limited. They open at 8a and close at 9p. They are the most limited hours among all of the manifold competition in West Seattle. Don't bother doing any before-work shopping. Third, the hot food section pales in comparison to the competition. The recently opened PCC is much better, as is the Met. Half of it was completely gone at 8pm, and what was left had dried skins on the top and looked unappetizing. Fourth, their product selection is not premium. For example, all of the cream they sell is homogenized. That's fine if you're QFC, but Whole Foods? (QFC does sell non-homogenized cream, by the way, which is embarrassing to WF.) The herbs (mint, basil, etc) are packaged in small clamshell packages and looks tired, whereas QFC sells fresh bunches. At least the employees I encountered were helpful, in contrast with some others' experiences. Overall, it's an expensive store selling mediocre product and gives few reasons to shop there versus the competition. WF is unprepared for their competition in West Seattle.

Yelp
Major food poisoning risk! And shady refund practices. I used to regularly eat at the hot bar here and one time I found that the chicken thigh in my box was very, very pink. I had already eaten some of the potatoes in the box, so I was very concerned (cross contamination!) and they only gave me a PARTIAL refund by literally weighing the piece of chicken and only giving me money back from that. They obviously do not care about their customers' safety or business. Plus they have monopolized the parking garage for that area. Don't go here, anywhere else is better.

Yelp
I'm not one of those people that don't like WF because the New PCC opened up, in fact I started going to both since they opened together. So about WF the selection is good but the things I don't like is how the hot foods kitchen is so stressed out. If you have a question they answer snarky if you go up to the counter and ask when the next soup is coming out since they are ALL DRY at 3:30pm then they are yelling snarky remarks so all can hear saying it will be ready when it's ready. I don't like this type of treatment and it's a shame, whoever trained these people did not set them up to succeed OR the people that were trained are already at ends wits which is sad because you just opened a week ago. Either way it's a fail on both ends. Hope they improve soon or I'll stick to PCC or elsewhere.

Yelp
I don't come to this spot often, but the employees at the Whole Foods Allegro Cafe this morning were exceptionally kind, attentive, and helpful. The ambiance is clean and welcoming. I also love that I can get freshly made bulletproof coffee here!

Yelp
Thanks Whole Foods for almost making me sick, I purchased this yesterday and almost ate it

Yelp
I'm LOVING our new West Seattle Whole Foods. It's light, bright and well laid out with all the quality shopping you'd expect to find at a Whole Foods. Parking is easy and the location is supreme. I've only interacted with the cashiers and everyone of them has been friendly and helpful. The food bar is the best I've ever seen at Whole Foods, although I wish they offered tofu fried chicken-style like the Bellevue store. Both my husband and I agree, this will be our new grocery and quick bite to eat store. Bye bye QFC.

Yelp
Was looking at body wash and an employee came over asked me and my boyfriend if we needed help and we said no. Hadn't even been standing there all of 2 mins and she started hovering over us even after we said no. We both work in retail and know what watching a suspected shoplifter can look like and knew this was exactly what she was attempting to do. Had a bag bc I just got off work and boyfriend asked if we needed to leave it up front or something to which she responded no just don't leave it open (it was closed?) and proceeded to stand there until we both decided to leave that area. Super frustrating and rude and painfully obvious that she found us to be suspicious for completely no reason
