How to Navigate All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Restaurants Like a Pro | Eater

"A pay-by-weight hot bar/deli setup where cost is dictated by weight, so think about volume versus heft: avoid heavy, dense sides and bone-in meats (which are costly for the edible yield) and instead use lightweight items like leafy greens to add bulk without rapidly increasing the bill." - Whitney Filloon

I grabbed one of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had from the Amazon in-house bakery—super fresh, incredibly delicious, and the price was better than most stores! Highly recommend checking it out. Whole Foods never disappoints—great selection, great prices, every day!

Google
Great Whole Foods with nice and helpful staff! Has garage parking. There’s a shopping cart conveyer to easily get your groceries up there. Great hot bar! Tons of soups. Large ready to eat section in relation to other Whole Foods. Unique finds in the clothing/toy area in the center. Very clean and fully stocked Whole Foods.

Google
The Whole Foods® offers the trademark fresh products and service with great fresh produce, meats, seafood, as well as freshly prepped pizza, and a great hot bar and salad bar sold by weight, and frozen meats, chicken, seafood, fruits and veggies. Today I found frozen sweet potato fries with several options, huge organic strawberries at 2 for $7, and huge mangos. I also found cherimoya, a tropical fruit that is hard to find. The ice cream sandwiches always make me feel less guilty when it says organic. A quick trip through the hot bar got me a lunch of tilapia, and several veggie preparations. And I grabbed a made to order coffee at the coffee bar with a large sign, fairly readable. Accessible entry and venue with large wide aisles. Department signs are large, really large, with readable contrast. Aisle signs are readable and posted near the end of the aisles. I had a hard time finding restrooms, but as usual, they were near the front of the store by the Amazon® pick up and return, and near the seating area to enjoy hot bar and other ready to eat items. Tables are accessible with some high top tables too and high chairs. Accessible van parking in free private lot with no curbs.

This is like the first Whole Foods I’ve ever been to. And now I understand the hype. Sure it might cost a little bit more… But I’d pay a little bit more for some good quality any day. It’s definitely a lot different than shopping at Walmart lol the people are so freaking nice. And OMG their food is so good. Even the bakery items… They’re not like the same from Publix. It’s like they have a professional pastry chef in the back. So if you’re on a diet stay away from there lol and it’s in Midtown, so it’s only one of very many cool shops/restaurants. You can just walk around and spend money lol or don’t spend money. The atmosphere/the location is beautiful enough.

Ordered a cheese pizza over the phone to take out, and they had it ready in under 20 minutes. Very tasty and kind service! The supermarket itself has wonderful desserts, such as their eclairs, and the witness are all very helpful. Amazon drop off location inside the store!

UPDATE 05/3/25: I ordered another Berry Chantilly Cake for our special wedding anniversary from Amazon/Whole foods. This time I got the correct cake, but it arrived damaged by either Whole Foods or the driver. Very careless!!! Although I did get a credit from Amazon, it’s not very attractive for an anniversary dinner. For info, I ordered this cake 3 days in advance, but it looks like the decorator was either in a hurry, or didn’t care. It looks nothing like the cakes in the bakery pictures. It appears Whole Foods mustn’t care about their reputation to allow someone to decorate this bad, or such bad service through Amazon! SEE ATTACHED PICTURE! I’m very disappointed with Amazon and especially with Whole Foods. I ordered a Berry Chantilly Cake through Amazon from Whole Foods for Valentine’s day. The local Whole Foods in Downtown Tampa substituted that cake and sent a Strawberry Short Cake instead, only telling me when I received an email that it was out for delivery an hour before delivery. When I called the Whole Foods customer service a very quick-talking, not very polite rep speaking from a well rehearsed script did not offer any apology or offer any restitution, Instead, she referred me to Amazon’s customer service and thanked me for calling Whole Foods. (FOR WHAT !) The Amazon rep did apologize and did refund me for the cake. But, I still don’t have the Berry Chantilly Cake I specifically ordered for our special Valentine occasion.

My favorite thing about this place is you can eat whatever they have in the buffet and pay by weight. Amazon return stations here. Fresh fresh fresh. Making me want to Go and grab a mochi just writing this. Endless possibilities

I wanted to share a recent experience I had at the Midtown Whole Foods. I purchased a prepackaged Greek salad—something I regularly buy from your store. After leaving, I discarded my receipt in the store’s trash. When I got home and opened the salad, I noticed the lettuce was slimy and clearly inedible. I checked the date and saw it was marked to expire the same day I purchased it. I made the effort to drive back to the store to return the salad and to alert the manager that several salads on display also appeared to be close to their expiration date. Normally, items nearing expiration are marked 50% off, but the one I purchased was not labeled as such. At the customer service desk, I explained the situation. I was told I needed a receipt, which I no longer had. I waited for the manager, Theo Sorensen, who was in the middle of an interview at the time. When he finally came to speak with me, I showed him the salad. He insisted that they don’t sell items in that condition, essentially implying I was being dishonest, despite the fact that I had just purchased it less than an hour earlier. Because I didn’t have the receipt, he said there was nothing he could do. I’ve never encountered such poor customer service at any grocery store, let alone Whole Foods, where I spend thousands of dollars every year. I was shocked and disappointed by how Theo handled the situation. I believe Whole Foods leadership should take a closer look at both the quality control of their prepared foods and the standard of customer service being provided in their stores

Yelp
Last Friday, we choose an easy dinner and we went to Whole Foods to pick up a pizza for Friday deal. Sometimes it comes out great. Sometimes it comes out a little lopsided lol. This time it definitely was not the perfect circle we thought it was funny. It was edible but the slice were a little funky. We did some shopping which I love their selection of organic snacks and the fact that they have some good options for organic fruit as well. The next day we had plans in Tampa, so I stopped here again for coffee only to find out I missed it by 10minutes. Their website says 3pm but they must have changed the hours in store so not I know to get here before 2pm.

Yelp
I stopped into Whole Foods Market Midtown while staying nearby for business. The market is laid out like most grocery stores, good stuff around the edges and processed in the middle. The store was clean, well lit and has wide aisles. I found the decent salad bar sufficient but lacking in more plant based inventive options, along with the prepared items. WFs had in general tasty options for plant based items like vegan wings, etc, yet no more. Minus a star there. Checkout was quick and easy, with some kind assistance from an associate. All in all a good experience and I'd be back.

Yelp
It was my first time visiting this location. I'd only been to one other Whole Foods in the past, and it was the old Tampa location. I remember getting lunch at the salad bar when working in the Westshore area. It was always fresh, and there were many salad options. Other than that, we would place deliveries through Amazon Prime every now & then. Mostly during the pandemic. This is how we were introduced to the Late July brand of tortilla chips. They are our favorite, and especially because they stay fresh longer than other brands. It must be the packaging. Our most recent delivery from this location had mixed reviews. We tried their empanadas and other prepared foods from the deli. Nothing really stood out as being particularly tasty. We also tried some of the Laoban brand of dumplings and bao buns. Let's just say we prefer other brands over this one. I will say that I was impressed with how spacious it is. The store looks clean & organized. I found many items that I want to eventually try. This visit helped me in getting more familiar with Whole Foods. They're building one in Valrico, so I'm looking forward to having it closer to home. I just hope the parking situation will be better than this one.

Yelp
I have been shopping at Whole Foods since it's inception in Austin Texas. Things have certainly changed since they were taken over by another company. The food is full of seed oils, especially they're prepared stuff., hidden sugars and a lot of their stuff is not organic. But everyone thinks it is so they buy and thinking they're at Whole Foods. They're doing a good thing. Really sad how far down this market has come. There are so many other better choices in St Pete like rolling oats or fresh the fresh market. Great service at both of those and not employees who feel like it's an effort just to wait on you.

Yelp
This review is for the coffee bar at Whole Foods specifically. Best matcha of my life!!! So smooth & creamy + added oat milk. No added sugars but added one packed of stevia and it was perfect. The lady at the counter was an absolute doll - she was so sweet. 10/10!

Yelp
Decent Whole Foods in Tampa Midtown, with the location and bright atmosphere the best thing going for it. The produce section, especially the berries, can be mixed in terms of freshness although it doesn't help to have humid weather and perhaps lower demand for these more expensive items. The hot deli section has a big selection and actually reasonably priced.

Yelp
Wish every city had a Whole Food instead I have to drive 45 minutes since this one is the closest I have in my area. They say "You get what you pay for ..." and here prices are higher than your regular store but you get HIGH QUALITY food and product.

Yelp
Whole Foods Market for the win during Hurricane Milton. Not only am I within walking distance of Whole Foods but it was a lifesaver after experiencing 5 days without power. Not only was I able to get a hot meal and sweet treats but was also able to charge my devices while enjoying a nice cool breeze. Service is always on point no matter if I'm shopping or dropping in to drop off a return for Amazon. One-stop shopping, no matter the reason.

Yelp
Love this whole food location. Always clean and almost always has everything I'm in the mood for! They have an Amazon return center which is so great and useful when it comes to returning Amazon orders that may not have been the right fit for you. Parking is somewhat convenient when it's not too busy but at peak times the parking lot can become tight and congested. My favorite part of this Whole Foods is the awesome hot bar which offers a wide selection of options. The pizza bar is also a hot commodity. If you are in the area please stop by this location and give it a try, you won't regret it. :)

Yelp
The Midtown location is a Diamond store, so this particular WholeFoods is a super center and has an Amazon return desk inside *(for a limited time). I've been a customer since they were across the way at Walter's Crossing 2012ish & this is where I was able to truly begin my healthy eating journey with good, clean food. I would have the key lime/cilantro shrimp w/lobster bisque soup most of the time until I started Sunday brunching for Brie, Lox and tea. Then I began full on grocery shopping there. As a market I can appreciate the variety of water, juice, veggies & non-gmo items I can choose from. One policy of Whole Foods was to ban hundreds of ingredients from the food they sell. I.E. high fructose corn syrup, sucrolose etc. I feel as though I'm always eating fine quality even if I only purchase gourmet cookies and cheesecake. This store's dairy section is a top marker in my opinion. And the selection of poultry & beef is neat, clean, & well displayed. **The cleanliness is what's important to me. They have a massage parlor near the front of the store & in the center they have a nutrition section with hundreds of vitamins & supplements to choose from. ***Whole Foods is does accept all major forms of payment but they are the 1st. store I've seen to have the palm payment option One Pay. Yes, if you're a Prime member or have an Amazon account you can set up your palm print & pay with your hand instead of your physical card & without using Apple Wallet!! Parking is on the lower level or they also have the garage.

Yelp
Modern, clean, with a full food court and cold/hot food bar. This place is actually really nice. Set on the edge of Tampa's Mid Town, this is a great location for those who live and temporarily stay in the surrounding hotels and apartments. Built in a community style setting, it's within walking distance of everything. Walking in, you see the check out area, but to the left is a food court with hot and cold bars and to the right is the produce section. The middle is the grocery area and is laid out in standard configuration like most stores. Everything is laid out well and it's clean and definitely well air conditioned (I was cold). We ended up hitting up the hot bar and salad bar and got food at 11.99/lb which wasn't too bad for what you got. There is a mixture of salads, pastas, rice, veggies, meats...I think like 6 rows of bars of food. Too much to list here, you'll have to just come by and check it out...lol. Food was actually good and they have a seating area towards the side/front of the area after you checkout. Would definitely stop by here if I needed to pick something up or wanted to grab a bite to eat.

Yelp
Stopped in to grab a quick lunch and a birthday cake. All was good except the lunch boxes were piled into a wire enclosure on the floor. People were reaching in and sorting through the containers like you would a discount cart at a dollar store. It was not hygienic and frankly was odd and degrading to be reaching down for a container for my food. This item used to have a stand that was waist high which was more appealing, accessible and dignified. Please reconsider this placement Whole Foods.

Yelp
I love this local Whole Foods Market! Friendly staff, extremely clean store, convenient location and delicious food!

Yelp
The ridiculous parking outside is a huge turn off because you can barely get in and out because there's not enough space! You're probably better off parking in the garage attached to the store. The store isn't as big as it seems on the outside and the people there just seem really rude -- people as in the customers. It might be the very type of people that WOULD shop there. We saw they had a huge selection of food just out in the open to pack but I don't know how I feel about eating that food. I like their selection of soaps and would probably go there to get my soaps since they're $1-$3 each, great smells. I didn't end up getting anything because my experience there was horrid. Oh, you can also do amazon returns there but with the parking and people, I'm better off at the UPS store. I won't be coming back here for good reasons! 1 star for the cart escalator! I thought that was super cool so you don't have to wait for the elevator and it goes up to the parking garage.
google avatar

Debra C.

Yelp
The food is like homemade and you could always add more of what you like at home if you want. They have a great assortment of cheeses and other cold foods and heat ups for take home. Their fresh vegetables looked beautiful and so fresh. When I go back that is the first place I'm stopping so I can get some of their fresh veggies. I shop at Aldi and Sprouts but the veggies there looked just as fresh maybe even better. My goal is to get fresher veggies for my family and a wider assortment as well and from the quick scan I did I was not disappointed

Yelp
You fall in love with this Whole Foods location while parking by the beautiful structure. The vibe upon entry is mellow. The employees are happy, smiling and are genuinely wanting to help. I absolutely loved meeting with Demi in the self checkout area. She was stellar. She helped me ring up a self serve hot Italian dark roast coffee and also got napkins for my normal spill, all this while multitasking and assisting two other customers. I also got some juices and Talia the cashier was phenomenal- polite, super efficient and on the ball. While I was sitting in the very nice eating area two WF managers started interviewing a candidate a couple of tables away. There was great energy, warmth, genuine interest and purpose in that dialogue. Loved it! This store is open from 8 am to 10 pm for fourteen hours daily. It is one of the bigger stores I have visited. It is definitely better organized with a nice flow. I have been in other WF stores that are cramped or just appear disheveled. It has all the pressed juices from all vendors and manufacturers in one area with three successive coolers vs the stores in Ca, Va and NY and even Ft Lauderdale and Palm Beach Gardens in Eastern Fl where they are scattered and I almost always have to ask for assistance to locate the items. The store is immaculate. It is very clean. The lighting is great. The layout is eye pleasing and practical. The pizza section is very inviting with a beautiful display of freshly prepared pies. I got the Detroit Margherita pie that was hot, delicious and a big hit. Enjoyed every bite and could not stop smiling. I just wanted to hang out and chill as I was so relaxed in this store. Thank you to the management and wonderful employees of this Midtown Tampa Whole Foods.

Yelp
Staff is super friendly and there's almost always samples. Inside is pretty and food quality is great. Only reason I don't visit more is bc of parking. The lot gets so backed up with people waiting for a spot than the garage is a-whole-nother issue on its own.

Yelp
One of the best Whole Foods Markets I've been to!! The salad bar was incredible, it was super clean, and there were so many hot food options!
google avatar

Yelp
I wasn't quite full after dinner and beers nearby, so when Whole Foods was in front of me, I stopped in here hunting for dessert. Other than the tiny parking lot at surface level, there is a parking deck. I managed to find a spot outside even though it was busy. Inside, the store has the stuff I have come to expect from Whole Foods. Cheeses, breads and bakery, huge salad and hot food bar, deli with take and heat food, grocery, lots of skin care and soaps, wines. I picked up a small block of cheese and a half pound of cashews. That's dessert! Easy to pay for stuff at the self-checkout and I was on my way. [Review 18972 overall - 1584 in Florida - 2496 of 2022.]

Yelp
I remember when this Whole Foods was across the street and was smaller (but still decently sized). Now this new building has been here for over a year and it's much larger. I was told it was the largest Whole Foods in the state! We only came here for a single serve seltzers before our cruise, and Whole foods delivered. They had multiple coolers filled with various options. I was grateful I didn't have to buy a whole 12 pack, and they were already cold. This place is reasonably close to the Tampa cruise port, and we stopped here before we dropped off our car. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shout-out to Hunter who answered a bunch of questions for me.

Yelp
COFFEE BAR REVIEW: brown butter cookie latte mild: 7/10 chai latte: 6/10 NO DECAF AVAILABLE! took about five minutes to make drinks but you can walk around store and just come back so very convenient, i recommend doing that or ordering, checking out groceries, and then coming back to get drink so you can leave right after. brown butter cookie latte: no decaf espresso available, flavor is a mix of pumpkin and brown sugar. they offered a mild, medium, and sweet option immediately after ordering. i got mild and it was yummy. i'm not huge pumpkin fan but if you are then i would definitely try this chai latte almond milk: very spicy, not sure if it was just the barista that added too much cinnamon or something though. good base flavor if there wasn't so much spices.

Yelp
Great grocery store in midtown. The associates are so sweet and attentive. The deli department smells heavenly when you walk in to the store. They have garage with extra parking. I love their food options, so yummy! Def not cheap but so very good

Yelp
Great new whole foods just off 275 and close to the Stadium. All you could want from any Whole Foods is here in an efficient footprint. You can even return eligible Amazon items. The entrance and front parking lot are terrible. The developer and designer definitely did not put effort here. Just park in the garage and save the trouble.

Yelp
I have always been a Whole Foods fan. I remember shopping at Whole Food's first non-TX market (Palo Alto, 1989!). This Whole Foods is huge and beautiful. Very clean feeling. Lots of signs clearly explaining things. You can drop off stuff that you want to return to Amazon here. They have a great dessert bakery. My parents love buying cakes from Whole Foods. I recently returned the favor, and the whole experience, from the desserts on offer (if they still have mango yuzu cake, get it!) to the pleasant employees, was wonderful. Do I shop at Whole Foods all the time? No. It's a little far away, and it can be pricy. But they also sometimes are the only local-ish store that has what I need for a specific recipe (certain pasta shapes, for example), and so I'm glad that they are in Midtown. Parking can be a beast. The garages are easier than the open air parking lots.
google avatar

Dave W.

Yelp
This Whole Foods has a private parking garage and elevator which is sweet! However, my new used cop car Tahoe bumped its newly painted roof on the overhead sign on our way in! So, be careful bringing a tall SUV in to this place! As for Whole Foods, it's huge, spotless and almost well stocked. Some of the veggies were sold out but at least people are eating their veggies! It's all I ever buy at Whole Foods besides a impulse pastry purchase, organic grass fed meat, yogurt and cheese! I've never seen so many people dressed to the 9's for grocery shopping. I mean, I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt but most of the clientele were classing the place up a lot! I felt like there needed to be a doorman, bouncers and a melodic house DJ! That would have made the experience complete! Life is good at Whole Foods but I need to get a shorter car...
google avatar

Michelle J.

Yelp
I love the mini desserts at Whole Foods. Yes, I know they have a wide array of fresh food here and their desserts count. They are so delicious! They are great for individuals, a date, a dinner party, whatever. The bakery staff is amazing! The rest of the store is good too. You can grab fresh flowers, vegetables, poultry, vegan items and they have decent pricing. The store is always clean, the staff is pretty helpful. Even when the lines are long (sometimes on the weekend) they move quickly. They have plenty of parking between the parking lot and garage. It's also conveniently located to many other shops and the highway.
google avatar

Denise B.

Yelp
This is one of the best Whole Foods locations I've been to. It's new and clean and it has a great selection. I do think the best thing about this location is having an Amazon return desk, which makes it easy return all of those impulse purchases. In terms of the food, I do like the selection, but I have found that the produce doesn't last very long. So, I usually stick to buying clean brands from this store that I can't find at other supermarkets. It's a bit far from me, so I typically only go to it when I'm in the area or if I want something special.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
The new location is awesome; so dramatically better than the horrid Target & Home Depot complex a few blocks away where they'd been previously. Unlike that location, where you can easily spend ten or fifteen minutes just trying to get out of the parking lot, this one is quick and easy in via Dale Mabry, out via the side street with all right turns. The store is laid out logically. It has the largest soup and salad bar I've ever seen; four massive rows with often as many as 10+ soups going at any given time. Tons of fresh food options if you're stopping to grab a better-than-fast-food meal on the go. Last but not least, they continue to be the best place you can ever go for roses on Valentines day. They always have a huge fresh selection, often lasting days or a week longer than florist roses, at a price point that's no different than any other day, not jacked up for the 'big day'. If you have an Amazon Prime membership it will even knock off as much as 40% of the price. Love it!
google avatar

Brigitte L.

Yelp
Came in while in the midtown area. This place gets packed!! They have self checkout available as well as regular lines for checking out. They have fresh food and dining areas inside and outside. I was able to find some items I had been looking for and unable to find at other places. They also had some great sales going on. Found my Not Milk on sale!! The cashier was nice and fast!
google avatar

Tiffany F.

Yelp
I was at the Midtown Yelp Elite event and was next to this Whole Foods tent. They were the biggest and one of the most generous and kindest group there! They offered me samples of fresh fruit, a corn salad, shrimp, etc! They were friendly and I'm actually so glad they shared grapes samples. Sometimes grapes don't look beautiful so I'm turned off by them, but these ugly green grapes were crisp and delicious! I got home to more Whole Foods treats. My husband and son went to help me set up my Photo Booth this morning and of all the places to stop, had to try out this Whole Foods location. They barely left me any of the dairy free yellow coconut covered donuts that were so delicious after a long day in the sun. So whether you're looking to be super healthy or still get some sugar, this is a kind and delicious and well-run place. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Bigtime brand new Whole Foods in stylish and posh Midtown development. This os where the cool people shop. Gourmet goods all over. High quality. This is the big time. With just a few bitcoin you can love the good life. Wonderful bar area of prepared foods, extensive wine and bewr selection, lots of oat and nut "mills", all kinds of organic snacks, baked goods, fruits and veg of the highest order. And top notch customer service. Now that you've made it big time you can live a little. Tampa has made it. Don't forget to swing through REI to pick up some crampons and grab a snack at the rooftop Sal y Mar while you're here. Tampa has made it. Armature Works is for poor people comparatively speaking.
google avatar

Anat S.

Yelp
this store is just the best! Best in service, fresh food and space. There are plenty parking spaces too. I highly recommend shopping here if you are looking for a great store to shop for your food. Check out for weekly sales that start every Wednesday- Tuesday.
google avatar

Betsy S.

Yelp
This is such a cool new WF! Its set in Midtown Tampa surrounded by an REI, restaurants, hotels and a beautiful green square. Beautiful vegetables, flowers, steaks, fish and more! They have weekly sales that begin on Wednesdays. The sales do help because it is a bit pricey for a supermarket! They have lots of choices of foods and brands and that is fantastic. It has an elevator in it so that the condo above can get groceries. My hotel was within walking distance so it was nice to get a few snacks. It has self check outs and is open until 10 pm during the week. The parking is a bit difficult but it is manageable.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally, a proper Whole Foods in Tampa! I have been waiting for this day, since we moved here after my first visit to the old rinky dink store after living in the DC area where they had the first dreamy Whole Foods Bar and baskets for selecting your own eggs in Alexandria, VA. This was a long time coming and they did not disappoint. Rows and rows of desserts, multiple hot foods and salad bars to choose from, and all of the other high quality products they carry. Lines are efficient, staff is friendly and helpful, and garage parking is plentiful.
google avatar

Poorvi D.

Yelp
The new WF is LEGIT!! So spacious and clean. Most of the items have remained the same from the old location but the biggest glowup was the food section. There are four fully loaded buffet bars including almost every major cultural cuisine, and then an entire bakery/pizzeria and coffee shop. WF is my go-to for everything organic, unprocessed, and "clean." Love that I can use my Amazon prime card there for more points and discounts. They were great before and even better now in this giant midtown space!
google avatar

Jay N.

Yelp
Outdoor parking can be a hassle sometimes but there is a free garage as well. The layout is ideal with a large variety. I was able to find really healthy, hard to find options. The buffet section is top-notch and they have both indoor and outdoor eating areas. Wish it was closer to me but it is centrally located.
google avatar

Skylar W.

Yelp
So happy this Whole Foods opened! It's always clean, almost always has everything on my shopping list, and the staff is consistently very friendly. I love that you can return Amazon prime items here too! Someone accidentally took my cart instead of hers and I was scavenging the grocery store for it. 2 staff members by the meat immediately stopped what they were doing and walked with me until I found the woman with my cart. Just don't bother parking in the front lot. The garage is much more convenient. Getting into Midtown is not the most fun, but once you're in the garage it's smooth sailing.

Yelp
Picked up a couple of pizzas here today. They were absolutely amazing. Josh the guy making them was so polite and professional. I'm definitely going back.

Yelp
Stopped in for some things for pasta night. Grabbed some great looking sourdough bread, a bottle wine, and parmesan cheese for $20. Not too shabby. I have to stop by more often.

So glad that Whole Foods Market is in a new spot & I can walk there if I want to. Depending on the weather. The ease of parking was super nice. Everyone is really nice. I really like that it is so spacious. When you walk in, there is the flower area and produce which is a nice size. There is a little cubby area with snacks nearby. Then, the seafood department is straight back and I was to a sample of the Smoked Candied Salmon. Meat department is right next the seafood. Further in the back is the dairy and cheese area. Also, the wine department on the side. The hot food, salad, bakery, pizza and cookie bar is in a large area. Pretty good space in aisle. There is an area where you can eat inside or outside. Some of the deals are pretty good. So convenient now.

Yelp
Review of "hot bar and salad bar". Half of the bins are empty. (11:30am on a Monday). Roasted mushrooms were refrigerated cold. Roasted Brussels sprouts tasted foul. Chicken wings were not edible. This location has been spiraling down hill for months. As a side note, been coming here once or twice per month since they opened, and almost without fail anytime I ask an associates assistance, it is met with unfriendliness, and the impression that they are frustrated at being "hassled by a customer". If I did not use the Amazon counter, I would NEVER visit this place.

Yelp
If you shop at WF you know .. terrible customer service, it's rare a cashier takes pride in their job, they do not pack your groceries, expect you to do it, few even say hello and it seems they feel their jobs are beneath them. Sadly it's getting worse.. being rude and woke seems to be the ongoing trend there. We don't have a problem packing our own groceries but for what we pay there vs Publix where cashiers are not only fast but polite.. wow. Edit: we just got home and noticed last month's WF bags were larger than the ones we are getting now. Since WF's prices are thru the roof, they are giving us smaller bags to make us feel we're getting more groceries. SMH

Yelp
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING WHEN THEY BUILT THIS PARKING LOT AND GARAGE????? Place never has anything, always out of stock of everything and bakery items expire in like 2 days of what's on shelf?? lol not 7$ for bagels that expire in one day.

Yelp
Biggest Whole Foods I've seen! It has an elevator inside so that the condo above it can get groceries and transport them back. As a traveler to FL, having my hotel within walking distance to Whole Foods made my life easier from grabbing simple items like waters for work, fruit, granola bars, etc. This location is really clean, has a self-check out should that be your style and friendly cashiers and is open until 10 pm weekdays.

Yelp
Cool Whole Foods store! Saw a movie at Westshore mall and visited this store for some lunch. Great buffet style food, six or more kinds of hot soup and many kinds of pizza. Mushroom pizza was the best. Area for dining was quiet and clean on a weekday afternoon. Friendly staff and very clean including the bathrooms.

Yelp
We were headed out of town on vacation and had our Amazon order sent here to pick up on the way out of town. The Amazon counter closes at 9pm. We drove all the way there and arrived about six mins before 9 and the lady refused to give us our package. Refused to open it, it was clearly before 9. She was standing there and refused to open it. We now don't have the things we needed for our trip. Do not have anything shipped here! We won't be returning! You are so lazy you can't open a cabinet? You can't even find employees that can tell time? Seriously reconsider your hiring practices and your policies. You lost customers today.

Yelp
Visited this new Whole Foods location at the New Midtown Tampa housing development. Did not disappoint. There is both outside and garage parking. There are elevators and escalators to get you from the parking garage into the store entrance. The selection of items is immense. Fresh fruit, meats, seafood, bakery items, prepared foods, and wine, just to mention the main sections of this store. The meats and seafood displays feature high end Items you don't find at Publix. They had prime cuts of steak, swordfish, Branzini, and fresh Calamari. The bakery has a large selection of fresh breads, danish, cakes, cookies, and pies. The produce section is large with fresh fruit and vegetables. They have a deli and cheese section fully stocked. They have one of the largest selections of prepared foods and salad bars I've seen. There is a large selection of nuts and even a peanut butter making machine. There were many cashiers open making the time to check out quick.

Yelp
I'm so so happy they moved locations. This location makes accessing the store so much easier. I find that allot of their items are pretty affordable and you can rest easy knowing they don't sell foods that do t have great highest quality. Not only is everything clean, customer service is great and the great valued items sold here. They have a beautiful meat section with any type of seafood, beef, chicken and pork varieties to choose from. They even have dry aged beef for purchase. My family absolutely love going to the bakery and cafe area. Here you will find all types of quick grab lunch, dinner with a huge selection of dessert. Whole Foods has stepped up their game and prices seem to be in range of other stores. Maybe even less on majority of their items. Do yourself a favor and go here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You'll have something for everyone in the group.
