Wholesome Pies Pizza Restaurant

I was really excited about this place since my cousin used to work for Roberta's in NYC like the owner. The atmosphere was very nice, a mix of urban and contemporary. The Houston artwork on the walls were way cool. Everyone was super friendly and nice. The only criticism we have is the pizza. I understand that Neapolitan Pizza will have charred elements to it. We have eaten at many places, here and in NYC but this one, I don't know. We ordered a cheese and margherita pizza. I felt the cheese and toppings were good but both had way too much charr on the bottoms. Every bite tasted very bitter, the char overpowered the flavor of the pizzas. It was like kissing a smoker, that taste, yuck! Also, no one ever asked how we were doing or how the pizzas were, we would have told them. We won't be back, which is really sad because the wife and I really want to support local businesses.

Fancy new spot on the northeast side of town that I just had to visit. I drove up and placed an online order hoping to get curbside service. Unfortunately, despite COVID-19, curbside service is not offered...bummer. I ordered the 6” personal size Chicken Pesto pizza pie. I drive home excited to dig in. Not only was it a fancy looking pie but it was perfect in size and soooooo delicious 😋. I also ordered the bread pudding and OMG!!!! I’m salivating just thinking about it, lol. I know how to make really good N’Awlins style bread pudding and this one is definitely head to head with mine...mmmmmm good!!! The BEST part of my journey to Wholesome Pies was the customer service. The young lady at the counter was not only a cutie but so sweet and attentive. I didn’t get her name but she was amazing!

Wholesome Pies is the best pizza in the area by a wide margin and is competing for the top spot in Houston. This is wood fired neopolitan style pizza which means it has thinner crust and the wood fire adds another layer of flavor. Everything is made from scratch and it shows. My favorite pizzas are the Honey Bee and Angry Meatball, both with a little extra chili flavored oil they have on the table.

Delicious pizza with unique twists and great service. I had the Elote pizza which was a fun adventure for my taste buds. My partner had the meat pizza and he has now declared it his favorite. Recommend for sure!

Wholesome Kitchen has a great atmosphere and amazing service. The food is phenomenal and fairly priced.

Excellent dinner again at Wholesome Pies! Tried two new pizzas and they were fabulous! The Meaty Pie and Grand Pep. Yummy!

Ordered delivery and got the margherita and the classic pep, so delicious! I’ve been looking for a good pizza place and I found it!

Great pizza! Not your average pizza spot they have the classics, and some really good pizzas you wouldn't expect like the chicken pesto and the spicy meatball. Definitely going to be trying all the pies in the menu. The seating area is fun and cozy and the staff is very well attentive. A must try, great for date night or with the family.
