Who's Got Soul Southern Cafe Decatur

I’m not even going to put any stars in the food category because it’s undeserving. This has to be some of the sorriest soul food I’ve had in Atlanta, and I’ve lived here well over 20 years. The dressing almost tasted like mashed up muffins with gravy on top. It had a very off putting sweet flavor, a strange texture and I feel as if it may have been over cooked. I even tried it with and without the cranberry sauce and I still couldn’t make myself eat it. The greens were covered in what appears to be GRIT! Aka DIRT. There are light and dark specks all throughout the greens that clearly isn’t seasoning. I’m still unsure of what it was. They also had a weird flavor maybe liquid smoke? The Mac and cheese is the only thing on the plate I finished. It was good. Traditional southern Mac no frills. The service was fine and I got in and out quick.

The pinto beans had sugar in them and should have been cooked longer, the collards was good, the baked chicken was dry, the rice was gummy and the cornbread okay. All in all today was a miss. I wanted it to be good and remember I come here as a last resort when I want some soul food.

I went here on 5/20/2025.I got the turkey wings dinner delicious. I been here previously awhile back. I also been to one of the other locations before the food was delicious there to. The cashier here is wonderful with the meal prep and asking questions about the gravy for the dressing and wings. The wings come on a bed of rice and 2 sides. I got dressing and Mac and cheese with my corn muffin and I got the lemonade mixed with the peach punch.

THIS MY FIRST TIME ORDERING FROM HERE ND I GOTTA SAID ONE THING THIS WAS SO DELICIOUS FOOD WAS HOT WHEN IT ARRIVES I ORDER THRU DOOR DASH I LOVE ME SOME SOUL FOOD AND I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IT'S WORTH YOUR MONEY TRUST ME ❤️

The meatloaf served this past Sunday was horrible. Noticed my receipt in bold letters no refunds or exchanges. Never have to worry about me stepping into your business again. Strongly suggest the preparer to step back and take time preparing. Hit or miss. Missed.

Absolutely loved the food right here! Turkey wing meal with 2 sides Add oxtail gravy and it’s a dream best soul food I’ve ever had! The servers were great, bubbly just a great atmosphere overall

The green beans were "fire"... You could tell they had been simmering for hours. The mac & cheese had a good flavor... not over whelmed with cheese... right on time. The rib tips could have been cooked a little longer but the BBQ sauce was great. Thumbs up!

The food was filling and amazing! I'm from out of town and when I say the next time I'm in town I have to come by there to have it again. There was trouble for me to order online because it was under the window before closing however when I called they were courteous, took my order and I was able to pick it up before closing. I was greeted and I felt they went above and beyond in customer service and I was satisfied. They didn't learn I was from out of town until I was served. Thank you so much for standing on quality and service.
