"With over 100 acres of apple trees, guests can enjoy hayrides, a petting zoo, and a corn maze. The spot’s Country Market carries bottled cider, caramel-dipped apples, and hot, fresh, made-to-order donuts." - Amber Ogden

This is by far the largest cider mill I have been to, and it kind of looses some of the charm for me, but we still had a good time! We went as a group of 9 and enjoyed the petting farm, feeding the llama and goats. We spent some time in the country store. Lots of cute decor and locally made jams, etc. I was disappointed you couldn't just get a single warm donut or a single cup of cider. There was a lot more to see and do, but we just relaxed under the treats and enjoyed the afternoon.

We got the season passes, and it was well worth it!!! We have enjoyed every visit! We love all of the fun things there are to do there! Our favorites are the playscapes, Karaoke, and the mountain slides. We always get donuts and cider on our way out. It does get very busy on the weekends but it seems to be run very well and does not take away from the fun experience!

The haunted houses were awesome! Get your tickets early because the ticket line was long. We got ours early and got through 2 of the houses before people started piling in! They do a good show when the doors open to let everyone in fireworks and zombies!! Very Good! The haunted hay ride had free donuts and cider after. They had fire pits for warming up too. You really need to get the whole attraction package. It starts at 730 and we got through them all by 930 but thats cause we got in line ahead of time. Its well worth the money.

First time we went to Wiard's was for my daughter's 5th birthday. We're new to Michigan and have had fun going to different "Cider Mills"as a family. This orchard was the best family experience by far. The birthday party had us in a barn with 3 picnic tables and plenty of space. The cost included/allowed us to pay for our guests. We received donuts and apple cider and were allowed to bring in cake and beverages for the party. The kids had a BLAST. There was a blue ox bounce house, a corn bin for the kids to play in (like a sandbox but dried corn), inflated slides, playgrounds, petting zoo and a corn maze. We didn't do the fire truck ride, or the hay ride but they were always running and looked pretty fun. The party did include a free pumpkin for our daughter from the pumpkin patch so we wandered the acre or so wide pumpkin patch and found a great pumpkin. I was impressed at the quality of pumpkins, but I haven't been to a patch in a few years and those were in Colorado. Overall it was a great time. Staff were friendly, courteous and patient with the kids. 10/10 would recommend for families with kids.

Some of the best fresh cinnamon sugar donuts - Ever! Usually, a half-dozen fresh donuts don't reach Home... they're just too good. Scrumptious!!! Enjoy their Halloween-themed scenery. This is superb spot to bring the family on a sunny fall weekend. Having grown up on dirt roads, I do enjoy driving Merritt Road where Wiard's Orchard is.

Google
We spent about two hours in this place, and our child had a lot of fun. A few playgrounds, animals he could pet, a cornmaze big enough to run for about 20 minutes. Also a store where you can buy cider, donuts, honey, and more. The place was quite crowded, some attractions closed due to covid, and the price seemed a bit high. $ 60 for a family of 3 for admittance and other attractions cost extra . Overall was a pleasant experience.

Google
Just wanted to go to the store but parking lot was blocked off had to go all the way down and around to the end and walk to the front just for donuts kinda inconvenient Edit: Ig I get that but if that's the case come up with a better parking structure just cuz u want picnic tables in the front lot shouldn't mean ppl have to walk a mile for donuts. Didn't see any golf carts and I doubt it's enough to accommodate everyone that's going there.

Google
Awesome Orchard to take the whole family. The tickets to the fair pays for alot. You get hay rides, putt putt golf, and the corn maze. The country store has great donuts, cider, pumpkins and much more. Will definitely be making this place a must go every year!

Yelp
I loved coming here recently. A lot has changed since I last came here as a kid. The ticket prices are a bit pricey on the weekends at $25 a person. There's quite a bit included in that ticket price, bounce house/slides, petting zoo, corn style sandbox, fire engine rides, corn maze, mini golf, wagon rides, pedal tractors, karaoke, and a number of playgrounds. Some activities are extra, such as the zombie paintball and apple orchard/pumpkin picking. I absolutely love the Country Store. They have such tasty treats that are hard to find anywhere else. They also have home decor and toys for kids. The donuts and cider were really good! It gets busy, so the earlier you can get here, the better. Overall, it was an amazing and fun fall activity for the family

Yelp
I joined my niece Friday morning 10/6/23. I met her school for they field trip here. The apple cannon wasn't open and i was looking forward to that. The karaoke kabin was closed too! We didn't see any bouncers or bungee run. We might've missed the Splattertown Paintball Shooting Gallery and pedal tractor race. The corn maze was great. We really felt lost and would've been if we let the kids lead lol. We loved the petting farm. The girls laughed so hard when llamas snatched the feeding cone out of the lady hand. The kids really enjoyed the slides. They picked great pumpkins. But one of the male staff members was being rude. He yelled about us going from the corn maze to the pumpkin picking field. I complained that there is no sign which indicates whats the front or the back of the field! The staff seem like they had attitudes.

Lisa D.

Yelp
Not the best cider, by a long mile. My daughter couldn't drink her slush because it was too sweet. The cider tasted pasteurized, which makes it watery and weak. It wasn't crowded, because it's November. The pickles were very good, but everything was very expensive. We will go to Plymouth next time.

Dave M.

Yelp
Absolutely ridiculously expensive How can you think that it's a family place when the first thing you got to do is spend anywhere between $50 to $300 just to have fun We went there as kids and it wasn't any expense at all other than the things that you wanted to do as far as picking apples enjoying yourself mom dad grandma kids everything was great and now being 55 years old you got to pay for everything and it's all completely commercialized it's absolutely a shame and a very big disappointment

Yelp
I like this place & had a nice time. Picked my own bag of delicious, fresh apples--5 different types. Rode the "hay ride" which had no hay but was still fun. Drank fresh hot cider and also bought a jug of fresh cold cider which I've been drinking slowly for the past two days--delicious. And the best part of Wiards was the fresh donuts--amazing, loved them! I enjoyed the grounds and watching kids play on the various things like shooting an apple canon and feeding farm animals. I also love the fact that this place was established in 1837, the same year Michigan became a state. I thought the whole place was cool.

Jane N.

Yelp
The steaming hot fresh donuts are worth the 2 hour drive! We used to have a family fun day at Klackles in Greenville which is now closed. Similarly, this is a large property with inflatables, play areas, and activities for kids. Fire truck and tractor rides. Corn maze. You pay an entrance fee for all day access. Order tickets online with time slots. Well staffed throughout the property. Credit/debit cards only. Stroller: There are some paved areas but mostly grass. A jogging stroller was easy to use and also go through the corn maze with. No pets allowed. There is a park across the street to walk a pet. You can get to the general store for donuts and cider without an entrance fee. Extra cost: $1.50 per cone of feed for the llamas and goats. $6 for 3 shots of the Apple Cannon to shoot apples out of a huge compressed air cannon with prizes if you hit the targets. Reminds me of American Gladiators! Check online: U pick apples not available due to frost. Pumpkins available. Hot Fresh Donuts: Sooo good! I would come here just for these. Crisp on the outside, and warm abs soft on the inside. Eat the Plain donut first. The cinnamon sugar masks the goodness of the hot fresh donut, but still good. You have to go into the General Store and at the checkout cashier, you order a half dozen or dozen of warm donuts and bring your receipt to the next building to the pick up window. At the window we asked for a mix of plain and cinnamon sugar. They're out in paper bags and you can tell they are hot! Donuts: You can also pick up pre-packed in the store: Plain, Cinnamon Sugar, Apple Plain, Apple Cinnamon Sugar. Apple Cider: Grab a half gallon, gallon, or individual apple container from the cooler. They have mini styrofoam cups at the checkout so you can enjoy right there. There's also a cider slushie and hot cider, and coffee near the checkout. Apple Butter: Had to grab a few! Pies: Huge pies baked and frozen. Caramel Apples: Pre packaged near the checkout. $5 each with nuts. Less for other flavors. Plain caramel or they have some coated in corn flakes, sprinkles, or chocolate. Nothing fancy compared to what I've seen at other orchards. Food: Carnival-like food stand in the paid ticket area. $6 Cheeseburger. $5 burger. Chicken nuggets. JUMBO corn dogs. Maybe sure you specify jumbo. I didn't know there were different sizes and ended up with a regular size, which was still super tasty. Bucket-o-fries made them easy to carry around. They also have smaller sizes. Ranch and Bacon fries ended up being ranch and bacon bits, but the fries were good. Also have chili cheese fries and cajun fries. Corn Maze: It was fine. I've been to much larger ones, but it was nice because we weren't stuck in there for a long time. They have a fun maze activity where you put a finger paint color (crayon wax?) on each finger when you find an animal marker, and at the end you match the color combination / sequence with a chart for a suggested activity. Mindshaft / Night Terrors: Walk through during the day without monsters, which is perfect for me bc they freak me out! CAUTION: It's very dark and my daughter hit her face bc there is a part midway you have to duck and walk under. I know we're not the only ones hurt. The guide should have walked in front with the flashlight vs in the back. You'll want to use your cell phone light to look up and around at the cool decor and still creatures, otherwise you're just walking through a dark maze. At night, they'll have actors / monsters!

Yelp
I've really only come here for the donuts, which are kind of pricey but so good! I love that I only live a couple of miles away and can grab some on my way to work when they're open.

Mike G.

Yelp
Overpriced! Donuts were bland. Website says can only buy tickets online (charges a fee for online tickets), but there was a ticket booth with workers there selling tickets. Overpriced for MOSTLY playgrounds!!!!

Porche S.

Yelp
Wayyyyy overpriced! It's ridiculous to charge adults $25 pp (kids $25, too) for a playground! I will never come here again! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is included in this price! My family couldn't believe it, and I felt horrible picking this place. I hope they come to their senses and change the price. Please don't waste your money. Just go to the store there and pay for the warm doughnuts (the only good thing there)

Pamela S.

Yelp
I gave a two rating because the hot donuts and fritters are the best. We used to bring the girls scout troop 20 years ago and the girls had fun. However, I would not bring the troop here these days due to the sky high prices. You can also tell that the pumpkins are purchased at some place like meijers for $5 and jacked up to $10. Some of the apples are more than likely purchased at a grocery store also. It's best to only go to the store and only during the week when you can park right by the store door. Not crowded. Don't be conned. Be smart.

Kim P.

Yelp
Disappointed!Came on a Friday evening paid over $15 and nothing was open.Didn't get to do the corn maze because it was closed. More for little kids. Staff was friendly and it was very pretty but would not come again. Not worth the money.

Madison O.

Yelp
Always fun. I've been going here for haunted attractions for years and it's always been great. The workers are good at scaring you and nice if you ask for a picture with them.

Natalie T.

Yelp
Normally, this is my go-to place to satisfy my annual cider mill craving but this year was unfortunately, a disappointment. We arrived too close to closing, which is totally our faults, but I was disappointed to learn they were no longer frying the donuts fresh in the back. So, we were forced to buy donuts that were already on the shelf. We picked up a half gallon of cider for later as well as a cider slushie for the road. All three things were just okay - nothing to write home about. I've had better for all three items. So, while I was happy to fulfill my annaul cider mill duty, I think I'll have to go somewhere else to really savor and enjoy those flavors and treats like I want to.

Jess L.

Yelp
The price is a little steep but you get a full days worth of activities. As an adult, I would not pay it if it were just me, but this place is great for kids. We were there three hours with little ones, and didn't even do everything. There's a tractor race area (pedal tractors), multiple playgrounds, hay bales to climb, animals, giant slides, and a corn maze. The donuts were ok, but the apple fritter was amazing. I was nervous going in COVID-19 times but they are taking all the right precautions. Sanitizer is available and the bathrooms were clean. Someone would periodically come and spray the playgrounds to disinfect them. The hayride seating faces outward and there is spaced out seating and plexiglass between each seat. Staff wore masks. I have been to two apple orchards this season. The other I felt very uncomfortable at and they took no precautions, masks and social distancing were not enforced. Wiards is doing a great job with their safety measures.

Yelp
My friends and I genuinely feel like we were robbed out of $20 each to enter this barren orchard. When we arrived, we were told that it would take 30 minutes to complete the corn maze so we should start with that. My friend started a timer and it took us less than 3 minutes to find the way out; it was essentially a straight shot to the exit which wouldn't even take a 3 year old more than 5 minutes to complete. Afterwards, we went on a tractor ride which might've been fun if they took us out to pick apples. Unbeknownst to us, the orchard had a bad season and there were no apples to pick. The owner has responded to others saying that this information is available on the website, but it is nowhere to be found in-person before paying to enter. Is it really ethical to charge people admission to an apple orchard without telling them that the *apple orchard* has no *apples*? I don't think so. At this point we felt really discouraged and looking around, we mostly saw a lot of playgrounds (which are available for free at local parks), a station where grown adults were throwing corn at each other (what???), and an apple launch cannon thing that was shut down (if I had to guess, that's the reason why they didn't have any apples to pick, lol half joking). In the store, the pies were frozen, the donuts seemed to have been sitting there untouched for days, and the cider was overpriced. We opted to drive to Meijer after instead to get our helping of donuts and cider, which admittedly makes for a funny story. Overall, don't waste your time coming here unless they make the prices fair, especially during a season when they don't have apples to pick. Really disappointed.

Sheila Harrison L.

Yelp
What a disappointment. For $150, the 3 of us got into 2 haunted houses. Looked like the same stuff from 10 years ago. Wall mazes with smoke, or just plain dark. Can't see squat. Lots of loud noises. Nothing new, fun, or original. It sucked. 10 minutes and done in each place. You guys need to get with the times. The Terrorfied Forest kicks your ass. And they have 1 attraction.

Drew M.

Yelp
listen, been coming here since a kid i'm 18 now, i think it's time to finally change things around the orchard, this is more for kids and family's who just want to watch their kids run around and play

Marguerite W.

Yelp
I definitely respect the effort put in to making their haunted attractions happen but there were very few actual people working them which took away from the fun and thrill of it. This could be due to covid or being short staffed or not wanting to hire enough people, but in past years it was definitely more fun with more people working the attractions. I was also extremely disappointed with how long lines were, we waited 30+ minutes for 2 of the haunted houses and didn't even bother with the third.

Amethyst W.

Yelp
We were here for an event, and they have a large open area with a pavilion that's good for food and seating. They have goats, llamas, and other animals for kids to view. They have a store that sells donuts and other treats. There's also things to do here like tractor rides, play grounds, basketball court, and volley ball court. Located on a dirt road. Prices here are on the higher side for what you're getting, but it's probably for the experience.

Joyce L.

Yelp
Okay, I heard a lot about this place and lowkey it is probably the cutest place to bring your kids and definitely a cool field trip. HOWEVER... it is just a rip off with a HIGH price to just to enter. We wanted to just apple pick but for we literally spent $30 to get 5 lbs of apples. The apples are babies and the apples are smol, therefore, the bag to put the apples were small I was shook. Also there are so MANY BEES like it is dangerous. I almost got stung and my friend actually got stung in the neck!!! Again yes when I mother I would bring my kids here and take A TON pictures to put in the photo album for as of now it is not an ideal place to go to an apple orchard mainly due to the price $$$.

Cindy A.

Yelp
This orchard is huge! Well... At least the misc. portions that were open for the public to enjoy. By the time my family and I could visit on a good weathered weekend, the apples were already gone and the only item we could pick were pumpkins. That's a bummer. But on the weekends, Wiards has a packaged deal. Which means you HAVE to spend the $18/$19 per person. This doesn't include donuts, apple cider or carnival food. I understand the rate if I could go around your orchard and pick apples for that price. But without it, Wiards try to glorified the haunted hayride (kid friendly during the day) and petting zoo for the kids. And it's not worth it. There should be a discounted rate when we don't get the whole experience. Because damn that was an expensive trip for those two things. We made a 45 minute commute for for a nostalgic but disappointing experience On the plus side, this is a really really cool place for kids. I would say ages 5 and up. The bathrooms are clean, (despite their terrible placement of a changing table that blocks access to the sinks..) there are playgrounds and bounce houses scattered through the grounds and there are cute goats with a llama!!! That was cool. The food was ok. Very greasy and there were a lot of people to feed. I feel terrible for the cooks, you got two windows shouting orders and there has to be chaos when the line is neverending. WIARDS, your cider also tastes like plastic. I'm not a fan. But your pies and donuts are freaking delcious. I'll come back earlier in the fall when my son is older so I could really take advantage of the perks you sell to your patrons. But for now, it's way too expensive for the lack of experience I had expected from such a famous orchard.

Andrew R.

Yelp
Listen, I've been coming here for years and this will be the last time myself or anyone I'm able to warn about this place will be back. To start, it's $20 a person and they charge a convenience fee to purchase online or risk showing up and not getting in due to Covid nonsense. So you think with "limited tickets" that it wouldn't be a complete cluster but you would be wrong. There are literally people everywhere, lines a mile long for everything and zero social distancing. You spend $150 to stand in line after line. $9 for $4.50 Meijer pumpkins and $4 sippy cup slushes. Save your sanity and your hard earned and decorate your own house. This place has become a waste of time and money.

Zara H.

Yelp
Cider mills and apple orchards in October is something I wait for year round and I was really excited to try this place out, unfortunately it didn't live up to the expectations. The donuts were good- nothing too special, the over priced Carmel apples I bought had gone bad, they were sour and not in a good-granny-smith-kinda-sour, no, ACIDIC sour, they're inedible, I threw them away, after paying what I think was $5-6 a piece, the apple cider had some acidic taste to it as well, like the apples had either gone bad or not ready yet, all I know is my family couldn't drink it and the gallon went down the drain, and that's not like my family, they drink fresh cider like it's no ones business, especially Blake's! We've never had that problem with them. The caramel corn was good, still very overpriced $6-$7 for a small bag. I didn't like the fact that I was going to have to pay $18 just to go in and see what they had and look at the orchard itself. So me and my family headed out back home after getting our "inedible" seasonal snacks, I'd rather head out to Yates or Blake's! Much better cider, activities, scenery and no cost for "admission"

Darrell K.

Yelp
It was Haunted Orchard Night on this Occasion. The price seems to have went up to the tune of $44 per person for 4 events. You can get a VIP which includes jumping to the head of the line for $59. I have to admit that the lines were long. By the time we got to the 4th event we decided not to get in the long line for the Asylum. I will have to also admit that the first year was better because you knew what to expect the second time around. Especially in some of the places like the Mine Shaft and Haunted Hay ride but it was still fun. Also being able to sit by the fire, drink cider and eat a donut after the Hay ride was cool. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful. If you have not been you should definitely check it out at least once.

Cathy W.

Yelp
Organized, clearly marked signage, socially distancing in place. Fun place to visit with kiddos during the day. We had fun getting "lost" in the corn maze (my first ever!) and sliding down the big, black tube slides together. The apple pickings were slim, but we can only blame Mother Nature and last year's freaky frost for that. They managed the poor crop by letting weekday guests pick which was fun for the 5 and 3 year old in our party. Everyone loved the "hayride" even with no hay in sight. Wiard's did a great job of partitioning off the "wagon" with plastic to keep all riders safe. The gift shop and store are open. Wish there had been a cart selling water further back on the grounds so we could have been saved a long walk to hydrate. But, then we would have missed out on the apple cider slushy, located in the cashier's area, which was tasty and refreshing on what turned out to be a sunny and hot early fall day.

Christine B.

Yelp
This place has a lot to do. I went this past fall and got a great price with a group. There's inflatables, animals, tractor rides, a play area, corn maze and cannon in the fall. Also there is food available to purchase at the store from apples and pumpkins and baked goods

Stephanie P.

Yelp
0 stars... you can't even walk through the gate unless you pay $18.25 per person. We had a big group with us and though the kids may have liked it, the adults would've just walked around and then left. It's not worth the money. The store items are mediocre and the staff is not friendly at all. They are mostly just yelling at people to corral the crowd. We left pretty annoyed that our large group drove all the way there. Before we went there I saw their website and looked over the prices. I figured that was the cost if you wanted to go on something. I had no idea that was just to walk in. We won't go back there.

Migdalia M.

Yelp
Decided to come here with my family. I did not expect to pay $18.25 per person! I would only recommend coming here if you have children 4/5-8 years of age. They do have a corn maze, trampoline, and other inflatable trampolines for children. No u-pick apple options. All apples are ready for purchase at the store.

Natalie D.

Yelp
It's $17/person to get in to do anything. More money after that to do most things. (Feed animals, pick apples, most activities). Staff rude and unfriendly. We chalked up the experience as a lesson learned and left early to buy cider, donuts and pick apples elsewhere. It looks good on paper... it's something else in person. Update: received a rude response from the staff at Wiards, insinuating that I expected to get free apples. That is not the case. I didn't expect to pay $17/person for a family of 5 to walk back and see that their apple trees looked like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree! Thanks for reaffirming our decision to not spend anymore money at your circus, and give it to a family farm instead. If you want to pick apples, drive a little further and check out Wasem Fruit Farm.

David R.

Yelp
**Do not bring kids this place is unsafe*** I was recently there on a date night with my wife we were having a good time until the barn haunted house when something that was not harnessed came off the wall and hit her in the head hurting her(at least 20 pounds)The staff really did not Handle this situation professionally at all they wanted to offer us some cider and donuts for the inconvenience that seems a little unfair for a possible concussion. Also when we ask for a refund they just told us we could go back through again but why would she wanna go through something that just hurt her ,I was actually the one that told them to fill out an incident report you think that would be protocol for a type of "business" like this. My concern was if this happened to a younger kid maybe even teenager they would've needed an ambulance to leave this place. The owners need to train the staff before they let them work this was a horrible way to deal with a returning customer and I will not be back ever again nor will I promote this place. Also very overpriced for what's offered. go to apple Charlie's!!

Krysten J.

Yelp
Great place to come for the Halloween season! The screams and terror start as soon as you enter through the gate. It might seem expensive but I definitely felt that I got my money's worth in fear, the hayride is a good starter to warm you up for the haunted houses, the hay ride also ends with cider and donuts...#plus! I like that the houses all had themes that were carried out from the entrance to the end. I certainly will be adding Wiard's to my October festivities every year!

Anna M.

Yelp
Yes, it's expensive and yes, they could tweak the prices and improve this or that - BUT... this is a seasonal business and they're in it for profit, you choose to come here and take part in any of the extras. My favorite part was the hay ride - it was a lot longer than I expected and they put a lot of thought and work into it. The pumpkins left in the pumpkin patch were on the small side but that's the only real disappointment I had - and they had bigger ones you could buy at the gate so it wasn't a huge deal.

Linda T.

Yelp
Be careful! Went yesterday , Nothing was open, except the store?? Not enough to cover the cost of the ticket!!! Too expensive, staff rude, really disappointed !!

Caroline B.

Yelp
My kids loved it there. The haunted hoose was a favorite, along worth the hayride. However, it is pretty pricey. I think we spent a total of $150. You're welcome, Wiard's. $10 for a gallon of apple cider? Eeek!

Rachel P.

Yelp
The experience is honestly how you make it. Yes almost everything on this farm has a charge to it so therefore that was one less star for me because it just doesn't make sense to charge more on-top of a ticket. In my opinion it should be included or have lower prices for the attractions. However my boyfriend and I went originally for the haunted attraction part of this apple orchard. Which was actually really fun and quite trippy. To me it was more scary than Erebus to be very honest! Just because at one point you're basically in a large room where you can't see anything and there's a flashing light with lots of smog. We also got a free cup of cider and doughnut after the haunted hayride we did, so yay bonus! We bought the haunted attraction tickets as VIP and skipped the mini lines. From that we got free admission to the day time festivities, which again are an extra price so we just stuck to the free things like the corn maze, put put, fire engine ride and karaoke. We also bought two pumpkins, but they were $6 each, the smaller pumpkins are $2.50. This review really weighs on the fact that I enjoyed myself despite the extra money for attractions and the little things like not having warm doughnuts. We technically got free admission because of buying the haunting tickets, so to really feel like you got your money's worth I would suggest doing that.

Yelp
If you're into "farm-u-tainment" and don't like good cider/donuts, go here. Their cider contains a chemical preservative that makes the cider taste bitter and a bit acrid. It's also pasteurized, thus killing much of the flavor. Their cider tastes like super sweet, artificially bitter, watered down apple juice. They make you wind through hallways trying to sell you trinkets, junk, and rubbish. The bakery tastes like bought-in frozen dough mixed with bought-in canned pie fillings. There's a place 10min from Wiard's that does it right - go there.

Yelp
Pasteurized cider? Really??? Are you f-ing kidding me? The place is ruined by this fact alone. The cider is tasteless and grocery store type. They have a cute store, fun adventures for kids, petting zoo, a haunted house and every single thing is an extra charge. Come here with eager kids and you will be drained of money. The doughnuts are not hot and fresh and the other stuff is merely ok. It kinda made me sad. My non Michigan husband was fine with it until I made him trek out to Franklin then he was like OMG that other place isn't real cider. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Yelp
I'm torn about this place. The fair area is truly awesome if you have kids of the right age. They just loved the bouncy castle's, miniature golf, the petting zoo. The hayride was really neat and was much appreciated with the kids and it was a great experience to spend as a family. If you want to you can pick apples as well but I assume you have to pay extra for that. The store was a big disappointment. No hot donuts, no non-pasturized cider and very limited selection of apples. We ended up not getting anything from the store. Clearly they seem more interested and probably get more revenue from the fair experience. At $15 per person, I can't blame them.. I will go elsewhere for my cider and apple donuts.

Yelp
Apple picking was a disappointment. It seemed that all the good apples were picked from the school trip field. They have separate trees for school trips and regular customers. The regular customer field of apple trees was flowing with apples, while the school children were picking through leftovers. Cider is priced at close to $9 for a gallon. It is not fresh pressed cider, so I didn't understand the premium pricing. The petting zoo is small, but offers the opportunity to feed the animals if you buy food. Wiard's is pretty much for little kids with many of the activities focused for smaller children. The haunted house was scary and fun to go through. Beware it is really dark. The corn maze was a favorite as you had to navigate the maze. I liked the hayride the most. It went through a wooded area decorated with skeletons and old shacks. It was a decent ride. Overall I was not impressed by Wiard's.

Yelp
Our school has been going to Wiard's for 8 years on a kindergarten field trip and today we needed some BIG time help! The staff and owners were the most accommodating group of people we could have ever been blessed with! We have always loved Wiard's, but today they solidified a spot in our hearts! Thank you to each employee who made our mess of a morning a successful and FUN day!

Yelp
While Wiard's looks like an orchard where there a ton of activities to do I can't get over the fact that you have to pay to do practically everything. I saw the sign with the prices and was flabbergasted. They market to families but with those prices what normal family would be willing to shell out close to $100 bucks for a day at the orchard not factoring in the cost of cider and donuts! Went into the store and you have to get a ticket for fresh donuts? Are you for real? I walked around the store quickly and booked it out of there to head over to Plymouth Orchards where there are free activities and fresh made donuts they bag in front of you.

Yelp
When you have to basically search for a good review that should be a sign. As you can find from everyone else's review this place is expensive. My fiancé (then girlfriend) and I went to wiards a few years ago when I lived in Ypsilanti. She was visiting me at college and we were looking for something to do. I live about 40 minutes north of Detroit in northern Macomb county where there are farms and orchards galore around. So we decided to check out what was around my college town. This place seemed to have a lot to offer. So we decided to check this place out. The basic idea is that you can't even go in to experience this place without paying to enter! That isn't a thing. You shouldn't be charged to go to an apple orchard/ cider mill. You can absolutely be charged to do additional things. But to get charged before you even enter is absolutely absurd. This alone is why I WILL NEVER BE BACK. And have told friends of mine to avoid this place and go to other orchards in the area. Michigan, specifically southeast Michigan, is riddled with apple orchards. So how this place feels it necessary to do this is beyond me. The place itself is alright. We had a decent time and picked apples, though from a limited area, and you guessed it, had to pay for everything. I won't be back. At least of course until they cut out their entrance fee. But until that happens, and I think it should, considering it seems like they only get first time customers, I won't be back. Instead, I'd much rather go to the surrounding orchards. Or hell, I'd even recommend spending less money on gas and head north into the thumb and go to a much nicer place. And heck even if you drive and hour each way, you'll probably spend less money and get better products.

Yelp
TOURIST TRAP Overpriced and just sad... Really your gonna charge me to watch a machine press apples, what a joke.

Yelp
I don't understand all of the negative reviews. I've gone to Wiard's previously only for their annual 5k and have always had a blast. Super fun course and a spooky run their their "ghost town" in the woods. An awesome time. We decided to head up for their Night Terrors for the first time, and yes, we paid $88 for two of us, but it was totally worth it. For the amount of effort they put into their staging and the quality of their props- they have to charge more! We especially liked that at the end of the hayride they had cider and donuts waiting for us. Very nice touch. All of the employees were nice and helpful as well. Very cool haunt and well worth the price of admission. This place is truly a gem, and you're going to pay more for all of the work that they put into it, and I truly think you get what you pay for here.

Yelp
This place totally sucks. We went here with our 22 month old daughter and some other couples who have kids of similar ages. We were just looking for a nice pick-your-own pumpkin experience on a beautiful Autumn day in southeast Michigan. What we got was bent over and effed with no reach around. $27 for my wife and I, just to get in. Our child was free because she's still under 2 years old. The place was overrun with ghetto trash of all shapes and sizes (not referring to race, creed, color, religion, national origin or sexual orientation here, so simmer down). The scent of cigarette smoke blended in the Autumn air with the sound of a loud, mean mother screaming at her toddler boy, "shut up! Shut up! I'mma beat cha!". Lovely. Most of the gaudy "attractions" within the park require additional fees. The pumpkin "patch" was a barren field of dessicated vines, littered with foreign pumpkins, no doubt placed there by Wiard's employees after hours. These pumpkins themselves were more expensive than the ones at Meijer's (and even more expensive than the organic pumpkins at Whole Foods), without even factoring in the Cedar Point style entry fee and associated shenanigans. I have a 4 year degree in Agricultural Science, I have worked on a vegetable farm, and I have been to many a pumpkin field throughout the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, and I guarantee that the pumpkins in that patch at Wiard's on October 21, 2012 were not grown in that field. I even found one pumpkin with a PLU sticker on it (this was back near the main entrance, part of some lame faux-Autumn scene with bales of straw and corn stalks). (PLU sticker = those stickers in the produce section with the price look-up code for the cashier to enter; commonly placed on produce by the packer/shipper; commonly found on mass-produced produce in grocery chains, not common of local, U-pick produce.) We left early without buying anything. I wish I could have this small piece of my life back. Total shit show.

Yelp
A fun experience, but obscenely overpriced. I visited the fair during the Halloween season, since I'd heard so much about the haunted amusements. A lot of other people were on the same page, and the line was ridiculously long. Moreover, the price for a full ticket was upwards of 40 dollars, which is crazy considering that most people go in groups. The amusements themselves are enjoyable, but can blur together if you don't have a mental health break in between. Simply put, I think this event is really fun, but the price is astronomically high for what you're getting. That being said, I'd recommend trying at least one attraction at a cheaper price point if you have the chance.

Yelp
Our visit to Wiard's Orchard was disappointing. What better way to spend a crisp, sunny fall afternoon than "u pick" apples, choosing a pumpkin, drinking apple cider, and eating fresh donuts? However, we didn't get to pick apples or pumpkins because Wiard's had a County Fair going on and there was a $15 admission fee. We were in the mood for apples and pumpkins NOT over the top commercialism (i.e. a painfully loud "Karaoke Kabin," guy dressed up in a dog outfit, and the like). But unfortunately we couldn't get access to the former without the latter so we left empty handed. Then we checked out the store where they were selling jams, pies, apples, caramel apples, donuts, and cider. We tried the hot cider and Apple Cinnamon Donuts. The cider was way too sweet but the donuts were the nice soft cake-y kind dusted with sugar and cinnamon. While I was eating my donut, I was subjected to a very bad donut joke. "What is the healthiest part of the donut?" "The hole." Since I probably should eat healthier, I will be eating more of Wiard's donut holes. ;)

Yelp
We only got to visit the Country Store & Bakery but that alone is worth the trip. It was my first try of apple cider & donuts & I really, really liked it. The store has lots of other "apple" products which we bought, too (in all, donuts, cider, apple butter, apple spice cake mix). The entrance fee (friends went in & enjoyed) is very reasonable for the fun stuff inside including the hayrides & the ability to pick your own apples! We'll definitely go back for the whole she-bang soon!

Yelp
There was way too much going on here. It's definitely kid-oriented and some of the stuff they had was just plain weird (Space Alien Clowns? weird). By the time we arrived on October 10, the apple trees were pretty much picked clean. It was disappointing that we paid for a $7 bag and only got a few good apples. The pumpkin patch had a ton of pumpkins still available and they are sold for a flat rate, so you should get the biggest one possible in that price range. They make for good carving. The store was a bit overrated and I will agree with Liz W. - the cider wasn't that great. I did enjoy the donuts, but that's about all they had going on in there. The store was crowded and the benches for sitting outside were mobbed with bees, so it was really hard to eat a lot of sweet stuff (like donuts and cider) in the vicinity. I'm definitely not making a trip back here in the future. Michigan is full of apple orchards and cider mills, so there's way better options out there.

Yelp
Not worth it. $17.99 per person, even if you're an adult there to simply watch/monitor a 12 year old. Fine. But then, there are disappointments abound once inside. A number of things are an additional cost, U-pick apples "isn't allowed" for 5-6 apples???, the young man leading us through the haunted mine shaft had zero personality and was not friendly at all (perfect for being around children and families all day, yeeesh) I'd never heard of this place and will never go back. Orchards on the East side are more my style- most activities are free, you pay for apples/cider/donuts/pumpkins, but there isn't a steep cost to just showing up and walking around.
