Nashville Fall Restaurant Openings to Know | Eater Nashville

"Perched on the 34th floor of the JW Marriott, this anticipated steakhouse is dressed with large-scale chandeliers and a masculine, bourbon-inspired palette and delivers a beef-centric menu with ample seafood, sides, a roaming cocktail cart and a massive wine list; the restaurant also features Bourbon Sky, a 40-seat circular bar that services an indoor lounge and an outdoor terrace overlooking downtown." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Very nice venue to have a rehearsal dinner. The hotel has been recently renovated. Jessica was so helpful and accommodating for catering and set up the day of our event. The staff was very kind to us. The owner of the hotel even stopped by to say hi and make sure everything was ok. We reserved one of the banquet rooms. Our food was delicious! Highly recommend The Wichita Marriott for your next event.

Google
Absolutely outstanding hotel! I travel extensively and normally have to stay where out travel manager puts us. Up until this year, she had a great deal of flexibility, but now, not as much. We used to be able to pick where we stayed in Friday and Saturday nights, but that has been taken from us as well. This weekend, I decided I had no desire to stay at the hotel she booked me at. I decided to treat myself and use Bonvoy points. The service was 10/10. The food was so good, I ate every night at the hotel. I have stayed at properties that laundry is complimentary before, but this place goes above and beyond, by providing detergent and fabric softener that is dispensed automatically during the wash cycle. I was very happy about that! If you do stay there, make sure and see Autumn at the lobby bar and restaurant. She rocks!!

Google
The staff at this hotel is absolutely amazing. I had an unexpected trip to Wichita due to the health condition of a family member. We needed to extend our reservation two different times and they were extremely accommodating and caring to our situation. From the minute you walk in the door, you will meet a smiling face new friend, such as Neema (front desk). From the front desk staff, the M lounge staff, all of housekeeping, and even the maintenance crew employees we met…. All wonderful and very nice people!! I even had the privilege of meeting the general manager. She was a hoot and Wonderful to talk to. My husband is a lifetime titanium elite member in addition to Ambassador status. But none of that mattered. I saw everyone getting treated the same. This hotel also offers washer and dryers, which is very unique. Anything we’ve ordered off the menu has been fantastic. It has very easy access to the highway. No complaints!!

Google
My husband were in town for a concert at the INtrust Bank Arena. The location of this hotel was perfect! Quick and easy access. Front desk agents were pleasant and helpful. Our room was nice, comfortable and CLEAN! Typical Marriott breakfast was eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon and pancakes with various breads and fruit options. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Google
This was the hotel my company booked me for my work trip and I loved my stay! The rooms were modern and clean, the gym was a great amenity that had everything needed for a great workout and the dining staff was so kind! I will definitely request to stay here if I visit again.

Google
The staff in the cafe was awesome. I didn't catch their names but there were 2 ladies that were just solid. Nice, accommodating, the teamwork was amazing and sincere. They had a system. Cannot give them enough praise! I interacted with them only, but the rest of the staff were busy taking care of other people, setting tables and everything was notably clean. That was in the morning after a very rough night on a pullout bed. That's right!! My husband and I get to our room and they had us sleep on a pullout sofa bed. I called to get us moved and they said there were no other rooms available. That room should have never been booked for anyone in the first place. Our room was booked for a Christmas party that was reserved a long time ago. Absolutely no excuse for it. I had the bar that ran right along my upper back. It was the most uncomfortable worst night of no sleep I've ever had at a hotel. Do not ever book that room for anyone ever. Terrible job Marriott. I gave the hotel two starts because the staff in the cafe gave 6 stars.

Google
This hotel is alway clean and classy. One of my favorites! When you walk into the renovated lobby and greeted by the Guest Services Manager, Calvin, with a warm and welcoming smile. To having the best Expresso Martini in the Great Room, the Marriott Wichita has it all. The beds are comfortable. Housekeeping is always on point. And it's close to shopping (Towne East is less than a mile away), restaurants and businesses! Oh, and don't forget that there is a shuttle that will pick you up from the airport. Zach was my driver and lovely to conversate with. You can never go wrong when you stay at this property.

Google
We had a great experience at the Wichita Marriott. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was impressively efficient in getting us into our room—fast, friendly, and hassle-free. The hotel’s location is also a major plus—right off the freeway, which made getting in and out of town incredibly convenient. Even with a late arrival and an early departure, the on-site restaurant delivered solid food and service. It was nice to have a good meal without needing to go back out after a long day. The staff was attentive, and the food hit the spot. Overall, the Wichita Marriott made our quick stay comfortable and stress-free. Would definitely stay again.

Yelp
Kind of a boxy tower lodging option. Once in place though, it's fine. There's a Costco nearby for essentials. The staff was nice. The executive club lounge has drinks in the evening and pleasant waitresses in the morning and evening. Access is by key only, which keeps guests of the curious variety without access mostly at bay.

Yelp
Our stay here was great! The staff was warm and welcoming, which made a big difference. There was an event going on that night so parking lot of packed, but we found a spot regardless, no valet option though. The room was clean. We ordered room service and had a cheeseburger and a Reuben sandwich, both were flavorful and just the right size. Breakfast was included with our booking, and we decided to have it in our room. The server brought us boxes so we can scoop whatever we wanted, she also packed orange and cranberry juice for us which was a nice touch. The breakfast spread had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, potatoes, cinnamon pancakes, and an assortment of bagels, croissants, muffins, and cereals. Everything was fresh and tasted really good. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would consider this Marriott again!

Yelp
Modern, clean, spacious, excellent customer service - really loving my stay here! And hello, the M Club takes your stay to the next level. Exclusive to Bonvoy Elite members, it just makes your stay super convenient and comfortable. Open 24/7, access to coffee, water, other drinks, and light meals and snacks. My check-in was also very smooth, and everyone has been very welcoming. The fitness center has great equipment for a productive workout as well. We also had the breakfast buffet and the dining staff is amazing! Everyone is so professional! Kudos to them and whoever is training the staff bc they are wonderful! I love it here!

Yelp
Rooms are more than refreshed, they have been modernized. It seems like the rooms have been modeled after some of the newer upscale Marriott brands. Mclub. Restaurant and convention space were all great. Easy checkin and extended check out were nice. Lots of free parking plenty of shopping and restaurant options in the area. Right off the freeway. The exterior looks very doudy and can set much lower expectations for the interior experience.

Yelp
Loved, loved, loved this hotel. Everything is perfect!! The lobby and sitting areas are beautiful and inviting. The room is comfortable, and up to date, eg, lighted closet, plenty and a variety of charging stations. The dining has delicious food. The workout area is clean and has modern and safe equipment. And everyone was helpful, kind, and attentive, especially Ann in the dining area. We will be back and recommending to all.

Cory J.

Yelp
Over priced drinks and meal. Manager has a power trip. Charges for meals to my room that weren't mine. After I called down and told them no incidentals or bar/restaurant charges on my room. Ended up being close to $200. Manager was disingenuously, rude, and short.

Yelp
I love the Marriott, and this place was great. I'm staying 6 nights, and it's clean, great bar, solid service, and daily cleaned rooms! What's not to love
google avatar

Doretta W.

Yelp
Had a great stay... Pros 1. Lots of parking ... no valet or overnight charges 2. Quick checking 3. Updated rooms with USB power, fresh towels and a modern feel 4. The staff was really great. The only megative was dinner in the restaurant ... took forever to get service, the chicken sandwich was skimpy. Yet breakfast was good.

Yelp
Stayed here during a business trip. I stayed on the 9th floor, nice view and nice room, and felt very comfortable in the hotel. Beds are very comfy, M lounge was ok, workout facility was nice. Overall, very nice location. I think I found my Wichita hotel during business trips.

Bryan H.

Yelp
The Wichita Marriott has a fantastic bar with the perfect menu if you want a light, tasty, healthy meal or more. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is great - chicken panini, veggie wrap, soups, Caesar salad - all great! Prices are also reasonable.

Matthew M.

Yelp
Great hotel, great rooms, great food, great staff, only 2 things... Asked for room service once during my stay as I stayed for a week. Was needing a linen change and maybe I should have stated that, but they only remade my bed. Maybe my bad. The gym smells terrible, they have a pretty solid gym for a hotel, but the smell is almost worthy of turning around, till your nose gets used to it. Not a stink from those working out, more like water damage. 5 star if not for afore mentioned qualms.

Yelp
Exactly what I would expect when staying at a Marriott. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and the location was convenient for my travel needs.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels to date! This is a luxuriously modern hotel with so many amenities! The first floor has ample room for lounging to sit and drink, talk, or work. There are couches, booths, and mini-living rooms available for guests to relax whether traveling alone or with a group. KING ROOM: I loved the decor in the room. It was very modern and cozy. There was plenty of room to stretch out and unpack and still have space leftover. The couch was comfortable. I found myself moving from the dresser/desk to the couch when I was working on my computer. The closet space is interesting as well. There is a little "window" where shorter clothes can be hung, but there's also a cabinet with a door to hang dresses, pants, and longer coats. While I typically hang my clothes, I usually fold my travel clothes on my last night and pack everything else up, so the window is a very convenient location for my folded clothes as well as my wallet and room key for easy grabbing if I temporarily leave the room. POOL: The heated pool was fantastic! It was deserted when I was there, so I had the entire indoor and outdoor pool to myself. There are plenty of seating areas both inside and outside. There's even a little patio with regular seats and tables for lounging if you are not inclined to use the pool chairs or the tables right next to the pool (equipped with umbrellas). FITNESS CENTER: Located next to the pool, I actually walked through the fitness center to get to the pool. There is a door from the lobby (see the picture with the chairs with the window peering into the pool just beyond), but I wasn't able to exit through that door, so I am unsure if you can access the pool without going through the fitness center. There are plenty of equipment available in the fitness center, and there is even a little area where you can use their touchscreen monitor (the size of the room TVs) to cue up a fitness video and follow along.

Yelp
This hotel is pretty good! Key points below. 1. Nice attentive staff 2. Pretty large rooms with updated charging stations 3. Ample parking with no charge There's a restaurant on the first floor. The staff is so nice and the food is pretty good too. I went for an award ceremony and we all were hanging out at the restaurant at the end of the evening - I just wish the restaurant stayed open past 10pm so we could've kept the fun going!

Yelp
Always a wonderful service with a smile. Even during low staffed times currently, they don't show a decline in service quality. Property is kept clean and staff is very attentive, ensuring top CX. Will continue to stay here when in town and looking forward to their M lounge opening back up fully.

Charles J.

Yelp
I have been to many conferences at many hotels. Marriott Wichita is always dependable, clean, friendly, and efficient. I also want to give their Security Guy Tyler a shout out. I left an item of no inherent value, and Tyler helped make sure it got back to me. Thanks, Tyler and Wichita Marriott!

Lucy W.

Yelp
great service. young lady with red hair has excellent service skills. friendly Awesome Sauce

Mike J.

Yelp
Great customer service all around. Jayse in the M Lounge was fantastic. He will take care of you. Shannon and Danielle at the Bar were great. Rooms were in great shape and staff very helpful. Will stay there again when in Wichita!

Yelp
Super clean and comfy! There's a lot to do around the area as well. Staff was super helpful and the hotel in general was very clean and well kept.

Yelp
Very nice hotel with friendly staff and very clean, modern rooms. Check in was a breeze and the facility is well planned. It even sits on a small lake with a walking path. We stayed mostly on the hotel grounds so I'm not sure about available things to do in the surrounding area. The bar dining is nice. I would definitely stay here again if in Wichita. I only had two complaints: 1) the nice pool doesn't seem to be on a cleaning schedule. There were lots of leaves and dead bugs floating around. I actually saw one of the guests using the big net to scoop them out. Having said that the pool was still nice and the water was clear. 2) the furniture (chair and table) in the room isn't great. The tiny chair is uncomfortable and the table is also miniature. I tried sitting in the chair to watch tv and it was no good.

Yelp
I'm in Wichita at-least 2 times a year sometimes 3. I always make the Wichita Marriott my place to stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs is fair, and it's nice to have room service for breakfast.

Yelp
I stayed there at the end of January overnight off the highway, it's fairly conveniently located from the interstate and there's a Costco gas station nearby were you can fuel up for the next day. The staff were really nice and I am a Marriott goldmember which means I stay at Marriott's quite a bit. Their hospitality room situation is a little different than other Marriott so be aware of that you may not automatically be upgraded into that. The staff were kind enough when I questioned them about it to upgrade me. the rooms have been remodeled so they're nice clean with a modern touch. As I said I was impressed with the staff in their willingness to try to help me in any way they could. The food and hospitality Center was good and made for a relaxing overnight stay.

Yelp
I am a travel nurse and a loyal customer of Marriott (Titanium Elite member). I recently stayed at this Marriott hoping to get all the services and amenities I have become accustomed to; however I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED. On day 2 of my stay I realized the bites I had on my entire body was not the result of mosquitos, but the result of an infestation of bed begs in my room. I work in the ICU and needed to be at work in 30 mins so I was forced to try to get another room immediately and then go to work. The lady at the front desk gave an insincere apology and told me she didn't have any King size rooms available (as if that was of importance). I was able to exchange my room; however besides the unapologetic apology from the front desk clerk I have yet to speak to anyone in management regarding things I had to throw away or the many painful bites all over my body (although I have called to speak to a manager). My intentions were to stay there until the end of my contract in August; however now I am forced to find somewhere else last minute. Thanks Marriott for the many inconveniences in an already tough environment away from home. Marriott has lost a loyal member because although as a retired military member I understand things happen, but poor customer service is UNACCEPTABLE!

Yelp
I travel for work very frequently all over the US and this is by far one of the best hotels I've stayed at. I was here for 9 consecutive days. Hotel: the hotel itself is very modern and the rooms look and feel like you're staying in a well kept modernly furnished room. Gym: I need need NEED a gym in each hotel I go to and this one was just renovated. They have only a handful of equipment but you can make due with what is there. The gym itself was spotless and they have snacks available (fruit, bars) and a water station with plenty of cups and towels available. I was very pleasantly surprised when I went. Other amenities: This hotel has it's own FREE ONSITE LAUNDRY right next to the gym. You just stop by, put your laundry into the washing machines (they automatically dispense detergent and softener) and then a you can put them in to dry. One of my biggest annoyances from traveling is having to come back with dirty clothes (especially sweaty gym clothes) and this very rare amenity allowed me to come back with 100% clean clothes. Food: breakfast buffet is pretty great and is relatively inexpensive. The bar & grill at night for dinner is also really good and would recommend. Staff: the staff was probably what prompted me to make this review. They were incredibly nice and courteous towards me. Once I landed I called to see if I could request a shuttle and someone was ready to pick me up in only 15 minutes Each morning I was always greeted with a smile while I was on my way to the gym, and I was equally welcomed back each evening I came back. Each morning I'd go down to the bar to get some coffee and after just 2 days the bar staff knew my name and exact order The night before check out I asked about the shuttle service and had selected my time to head to the airport (6am). They called my room soon after to let me know that the shuttle actually would not be in service so they arranged for a taxi that they payed for out of pocket to take me to the airport. Never expected this but without a doubt showed how much they go above and beyond. Finally, after I checked out and was at the airport, I realized I'd left my $270+ AirPod Pro's in my hotel room. I called the front desk to let them know and they mentioned they would follow up once they had someone go check. They called me 25 minutes later to let me know they were found and I should expect a call from their Night Manager Lester to arrange for shipping. The call with him was super quick and he shipped them out immediately and I had them back in hand within 48 hours. Complaints, if any: Extremely minor but I would have liked the ability to stream (via Chromecast) other services (AppleTV+, Hulu) on my tv since they only have Netflix, HBO, YouTube, and I think amazon. Summary: Great hotel, definitely will be staying here again. Huge thanks to the entire staff and team for being so hospitable

Yelp
I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for tending to all of my needs while remaining your honored guest within your hotel these last 3 years. You have been amazing host and I have appreciated the level of interest you and your staff have paid me in order to make me feel welcomed while being away from home. Wichita Marriott has undergone multiple renovations within the last 6-7 years and they are still going thru them. The final result is a wonderful lobby, state of the art fitness and pool area (under construction). Neftali (front desk manager), you have been beyond amazing and deserve more than just praises. Michelle (GM), amazing manager and true professional. Also, special thanks to Nikita and Mrs. Simon for extending such amazing hospitality within the M Club lounge. Kudos, to everyone who has made my stay more comfortable from the shuttle drivers, front desk personnel and Rosa (housekeeping staff).

Yelp
I stay at this hotel often when I'm in Wichita for business. It is clean and conveniently located for my purposes. In the evening I like to grab a table, open my laptop and enjoy a glass of wine while I work in their awesome lobby! They have tons of comfortable seating options and their food is delicious! I highly recommend the bbq chicken pizza :)

Brandon V.

Yelp
This was a very pleasant surprise for our surprise stay in Wichita. This Marriott appears to have been renovated fairly recently and WOW we loved it. The gym in particular was incredible.....thank you for all of the attention to detail there. There are many hotels where the fitness center seems like an afterthought....not here. Employees were excellent as well! Did not love Wichita as a whole (being honest) but loved this hotel. Thank you!
google avatar

Aliece H.

Yelp
My husband and I are very pleased with the hotel staff and our stay. The rooms are well kept and clean. Rosie in house keeping is awesome!!! The front desk staff and bellmen are vey friendly and welcoming. The hotel is going through a renovation. The fitness center and pool area is closed at this time. However, they will give guest a pass to the gym at the Fairfield Inn next door. (Concierge M Lounge-Complaint) Our only complaint is the lady that works in the Concierge M Lounge in the morning serving breakfast to Gold and Platinum members. She was not very friendly and rarely says good morning. However, the evening... Concierge Lounge staff has better customer service etiquette. They are friendlier and greet the guest!

Yelp
This Marriott has had a facelift in the lobby and the lobby and restaurant area are very pretty. The staff member who checked me in was proficient. That's about where the positives end. So on to the airing of the grievances... My room smelled like a perfume bottle had exploded in there. I assume a prior guest had spilled some perfume. The room should not be given to anyone else until it is fully aired out and the carpet is shampooed. When I turned on the water, it sputtered and spat and then brown water came pouring out. Gross. I don't think it was just rust in the water from sitting in the pipes because rusty water tends to be more orange-tinged. Nonetheless, I did not feel comfortable drinking it. I had to go downstairs to buy water and mentioned this to the person at the front desk when paying for my water. As far as I'm concerned, the water should have been comp'ed. Sorry, but if the water in your hotel is going to be brown, free drinking water should be provided. There is clearly a plumbing issue in the hotel. There were 3 different kinds of mismatched ceiling tiles in the bathroom in my room and two of them above the showerhead had major water damage. I noticed that someone else had posted a picture of water damage in their bathroom as well. It's not ok for a hotel in Wichita, KS to charge nearly $200/night and have these kinds of issues. I met up with two of my team for breakfast. There only appeared to be one person waiting tables but there were two people who clearly worked there who were standing around watching her chaotically trying to handle her workload. Although those people may not have been servers, it gives guests a bad impression when there are people standing around yet service is way too slow. From the moment we entered the restaurant to the time we actually had food in front of us took over 45 minutes. Keep in mind that this is breakfast. I could have run to the store, bought groceries and whipped up a decent breakfast in the time it took to get food on the table. There was no apology for the slow service. Given a choice, and I do not have one when traveling for business, I would not select this Marriott again.

Yelp
I've stayed at this Marriott many times and it never disappoints. The bed linens are luxurious but the mattresses are divine. I slept like a queen. The room was large with a lovely view of the pond. The lobby was updated and I loved the new look. The staff were amazing and treated us so well. They knew my dad but imagine they'd treated us as well even if they didn't. We ordered from room service and really enjoyed our food (turkey sandwich, pizza). The breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful. We had the lunch buffet one day and it was filled with quality food. Prime Rib, roasted pork, chicken, a beautiful dessert table but we were too full to have any. We also took advantage of the pool and hot tub but not the exercise room. I love staying here. :-)
google avatar

Cory S.

Yelp
Typical Marriott layout and decor with a HUGE lobby. The rooms were clean and well kept. Cleaning service was on point and got the job done. The bathroom was a little outdated a could have used an update. Pricing was good for a 'large' city at $180 or so a night. The pool was clean and hot tub functioning well. There is a nice place for a run on the back side of the hotel.

Curtiss K.

Yelp
Stayed here for over a month since the management at the extended stay down the street said they were going to take care of the noisy person above me. (don't stay THERE!). Ext stay said he was leaving on a certain date so I paid another month, he didn't, so I went back to the Marriott to get sleep and sanity. Then they said they would move him, didn't. The Marriott was more expensive but worth it. Almost always quiet - a few times guests that don't know how to act. A very nice staff (Mariah at front desk was great). During covid, the staff always wear masks and it is great to call and pick up a meal down in the bar to take back to the room. Housekeeping are swarming like bees in the mornings, several on every floor and do a great job, always saying good morning or hello (front desk too). Also, housekeeping every day/morning keeping lobby clean, mopping elevators and lobby floor. Hotel has always been clean in the time I stayed - over a month. Good stay!

Yelp
Did not stay here, but came for an event. The lobby and conference rooms are beautiful and welcoming. I wish that this location offered various checking in or check out hours.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here on 8/21/21. Hands down the best Marriott property we have ever stayed at and one of the best hotels ever. From the outside, it appears to be one of those tired, large properties Marriott is famous for, but is has been, obviously, completely renovated. Staff in every part of the hotel was excellent and accommodating. Our room was so comfortable. Pool and workout facility made you think you were in a private club. Food and drink were excellent. If we go back to Wichita, there is no question about where we would stay.

Yelp
The Lobby and surround area just went through a major renovation so I was quite impressed. The rooms are standard issue and could use an update. I didn't use all the amenities but for a business trip it was good enough. The front staff were nice. Lobby ****** 4 Stars ******* Large area with restaurant and bar on the side. There's a business area with computers for internet access. There's also a self service computer to print out your boarding pass. Room ***** 3 Stars ***** King size bed and bedding are quite comfy. TV channel reception are horrible. Luckily they have WiFi so that was my alternative. Bathroom and shower were dated. Gym ****** 3 Stars ***** Small size gym but they size have several Elliptical and treadmills. Small set of free weights. They water, fruits and snack bars for free. Pool ***** 3 Stars ***** I didn't use the pool but it was right next to the gym. It was an indoor pool but not very large.

Yelp
I rarely use the one star, but when I do it usual ally deserves it. Ok, this is an older hotel. It's been updated, which is a plus, but it's not up to snuff with the most recently built hotels this brand. To boot, when I stayed I had the hotel staff charge bullshit surcharges and tried to get me to tip on top of it all. In conclusion, if you're looking for a hotel with a pool and hot tub, this an option, otherwise go elsewhere in Wichita.

Bruce D.

Yelp
What a great hotel and staff. The lobby, recently redone, is beautiful. The staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous. It's a great hotel and I love staying here.

Yelp
Stayed here with friends for over a week. My friend rented four rooms on the 9th floor and the presidential suite as well. He spent well over $4000 and the staff was tipped generously. Decent food and drinks. Clean rooms but nothing special. Management is a nightmare and very rude. They didn't treat us well at all. I would have taken my money elsewhere. Customer service training is needed.

Yelp
I've stayed at the Marriott for work. Here are my thoughts. - Great staff - Nice lobby & relaxed atmosphere - The executive lounge is a nice place to work but one area that they can improve on is restocking the fridge with drinks as people take a lot of it on weekends - For the executive lounge...wish they had healthier options at night - The rooms are pretty outdated and could use a major facelift - Very convenient with a free laundry although there's only 1.

Michelle G.

Yelp
Two things really stood out for me in this property. If these are important to you like for me, you'll enjoy your stay even more. #1 - the a/c worked wonderfully..it went all the way down to 60! So if you like a cold room, you can get it! Surely the heat works as well too :). #2 - the king bed was so comfy..the pillows were just right and the sheets smelled good.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I've definitely been to nicer marriott's. However, I have NEVER gotten such an incredible upgrade as I got here. When I checked my hotel bookings, I noticed that I had been booked me under two reservations. I called my travel agent to check but was ensured it did not occur on their end. When I got to the hotel, I mentioned it and was informed that it was not a mistake. They had pre-booked me for two rooms because they had upgraded me to the hospitality suite. I was given access to two rooms- your typical one that you sleep in and then an entire suite which really wasn't necessary. Thus, 4 stars due to the awesome upgrade!

Yelp
Slowtels could learn a lesson here. The fastest check in EVER. Clean rooms. Decent web... but wireless at Marriott costs extra. Shower heads are weak. [These two are the reason for the 4-star instead of five]. Comfy beds. Friendly staff. Decent workout and pool area, although the pool is full of screaming kids 50% of the time.

Yelp
Most likely the nicest hotel in Wichita but not even close to the nicest Marriott I have stayed at. Pros Friendly staff, decent room service, clean rooms, comfortable beds Cons No WiFi, slow internet, older room decor, no HDMI capable TV's

Yelp
an updated version of a Marriott inside. The front lobby area was having some construction work done. Luckily we couldn't hear anything in our rooms. No dust or anything which was good. They had a cute lounge area to hang out in but with all the construction I don't know how you would want too because it is loud. Lots of food options couple minutes down the road.

Yelp
Great full service Marriott in Wichita. I stayed there as it is very close to my clients location. It is an older property but has instituted the new Club M concept with the concierge lounge being in the lobby. Rooms good but showing some age. Bar and resto very good. Staff very good especially the shuttle driver. Yes even though this hotel is some distance from the airport they have shuttle service and a very nice man that drives the shuttle. My only complaint was a tepid shower due to inadequate hot water.

Yelp
The staff was courteous and professional. Enjoyed the M lounge. The room was clean. I do have a few complaints, for instance the loud ice machine (My room was across from the hospitality suites on the second floor, and it took me two nights to realize someone wasn't constantly vacuuming). While they have sidewalks, I'm not sure they realize this is a hotel where people cart luggage. There are no smooth transitions to the pavement, so either you have to bang your luggage on curbs or walk in the middle of the parking lot when you exit the lobby, and people race through the parking lot. Also, the room I stayed in had one vent, that blew air right in my face in the bed. The first night I turned it off and the room became stifling. The second night I built a pillow fort but the constant flow of air still bugged me. I put a towel over the vent the third night to divert the air flow. Overall, a nice hotel, but there is room for improvement. I do have to agree with the guy that said the bathroom had a beer opener, made me chuckle. I would also like to see milder scented shampoo products. Thann products are really stinky.

Yelp
Stayed here a few weeks ago just after the tornado hit. It is a very nice hotel with an on point front desk staff. The bar staff could take lessons form the front desk " very sloppy" they ignore customers waiting to place orders, just not me but many others. Hope you don't order the last glass of wine in the bottle or you'll witness the the bar maid slam the empty into the trash " she did it more than once". They just seemed very unorganized and in need of leadership or training. I do have to admit the food was decent and priced well. The room and bed were top notch. I normally stay Hilton but Marriott has caught my eye due to Hilton properties lack of respect to their diamond members.

Yelp
Room was beautiful and bed was very comfortable. We spent our wedding night here and it was very relaxing. Place was booked solid, but you wouldn't know it as the noise level was very quiet. In all a great place to stay.

Yelp
After a month of sleeping on my friend's futon in western Kansas, the beds in this Mariott were like a dream come true. Maybe my month of bad sleep makes me a tad biased, but for the two nights I stayed here I had great service and sleep.
