"Ashley Moran and Brandon Slowey started making honey slushies with local fruit, like liliko‘i and pineapple, as a complement to Slowey’s beekeeping. Along the way, they also picked up a passion for sourdough, and now their cheerful North Shore cafe, tucked away in Waialua, also serves sourdough pita sandwiches, pizza, and fantastic liege waffles that often sell out by noon." - Martha Cheng

Google
Pretty cool local north shore place with decent vibes and a relatively healthy leaning menu. I got the Italian pita and it was pretty good! Many things were sold out when I came, but it was pretty late in the lunch rush.

Google
I can’t believe this place doesn’t have more reviews! It’s SO good!!! I know these pictures aren’t the best but we just started eating right away and couldn’t stop. It was so good! I can only have sourdough, anything else makes me bloat or hurts my stomach, so the fact that the waffles are sourdough, I had to try them and they did not disappoint. Perfect in every way. I love wicked hi!

Stopped here for a bite while out exploring the area. Had the BAT sandwich, and while they were out of arugula, we subbed bean sprouts and it was just as tasty. Got the pineapple lychee tea to go and it was soooo good. Definitely recommend stopping in for food or a bevvy!

Google
The cutest most wonderful restaurant on the North Shore. My recommendation: eat breakfast here and take lunch to go to the beach! Get there early, the waffles sell out quick! My favorites are the bacon egg and cheddah waffle, the turkey club pita, and the dragon fruit honey slush. I come here every time I’m at the North Shore and you should too!

Google
This place is a bit off the beaten path and so worth it. I had a goat cheese, arugula, and honey pizza. My friend had the avocado wrap. Both were amazing. It's a bit hot inside (shocking I know - with a pizza oven inside and in Hawaii), but again completely worth it. The staff were super friendly and helped me pick a slush, with fresh honey. If you're on the North Shore this is a must try! If I get a chance to return to the North Shore I will go here again ❤️❤️❤️

Google
food tasted great i got the house salad and garlic bread with the honey slush. every item was not only delicious but creative in its own right. You can tell the ingredients were high quality everything tasted very fresh and satisfying. I love the intention and originality of this cafe, thanks.

Google
We absolutely LOVE this place. The sourdough is off the charts good, and the honey slushes are amazing! 🔥 BUT: This place has been awesome for years, but the last three times we've been (in the last ten days), the consistency has been wildly off. Way over-salted, completely unseasoned and ingredients missing… Hoping this is a temporary blip, as this is one of our favorite spots on the North Shore!

Google
Honey slush was yummy but wanted more honey! The honey was so good! We wanted to try the waffles too but they were already sold out at 11am on a weekday. Pop over to Paalaa Kai bakery next door for their famous snow puffy and other sweets while you’re here.

Kayla M.

Yelp
Small cafe on Kaukonahua Road next to Paalaakai Bakery. They serve sourdough pitas, pastas, and pizzas as well as honey slush. I ordered the "bacon, egg, and cheddah" pita with avocado. Super delicious because of the fresh sourdough pita. Next time I want to try one of their sourdough pizzas. I also got the Lilikoi honey slush. So refreshing and naturally sweet with the thick local honey! One more thing: this is a small local business so they had 3 people behind running the whole cafe. If you have to wait a few extra minutes for your food, it's well worth it!! Patience is a virtue. Parking on the side of the road. They have a few stalls in front of their building though.

Cameron S.

Yelp
Pizzas are AMAZING here, couldn't talk better about the food itself. The only annoying thing is that they're closed random days, run out of ingredients frequently, and are not consistent in letting you order breakfast items in the afternoon. Also tend to be understaffed.

Carla E.

Yelp
This location was a little out of the way, if you are visiting the Dole Plantation it's not too far. The parking lot looks a bit sketch, but once you get inside you are good to go. Ambiance feels hipster, cute decor with an open kitchen which tends to heat up the place. Order at the counter and select your seat. There is no AC, at least not when we went, so it was super hot to dine in. I ordered the meat lover's pizza and the honey dragon fruit lemon slush, both were delish! The sourdough pizza bread was really fresh and tasted great, toppings were on point as well. The slush was sweet and refreshing, great flavor. There is a great bakery next door, make sure to grab their signature pastries to go (you won't have room in your belly after Wicked Hi).

Tricia M.

Yelp
Must must must try this place! The service was top notch...friendly, helpful and all with a smile. The food was soooo yummy. We ordered the turkey wrap, bacon egg and cheese wrap and another sandwich I can't remember but all was delicious!!! Don't forget to try the slush. The raw honey on top was awesome!!!!! Definitely will be back!

Les L.

Yelp
My review is for Wicked Hi's food truck on the north shore, not the brick and mortar. We were at No. 7 Japanese food truck when I saw people getting pizza delivered to them. I had read that Wicked HI had delicious sourdough pizzas so I ordered the Hawaiian Luau pizza, which was a ham/pineapple hawaiian pie. It was a little pricey but, to its credit, big enough for 2-3 people to share. It had a good flavorful crust and ample toppings.

Nami P.

Yelp
We love everything we ordered. Friendly staff and we didn't wait long to get our foods and drinks. Cute ambiance! But too bad the smoke from cooking was too strong and make it hard to breathe when we were eating inside. Everything else was excellent.

Christian L.

Yelp
Honestly this exceeded my expectations! The honey lilikoi slush was phenomenal! It is quite on the sweeter side but in a good way. The amazing lightly-sweeted honey really compliments the slush. The waffle might look deceiving but it will fill you up! The bacon, egg, cheddah waffle has a great combination salty, sweet, and savory flavors. I went in the morning and the wait a few minutes long as the staff prepares the food from scratch. The place is on the hipster vibes! Everyone is friendly and I enjoyed my time there!

Yelp
Pizza police here. Lived in Italy 8 years/ teach Italian at UH. Crust was very good. Mozzarella- um... here I go... Okay so, to be fair, cheese can be hard to source on a hot island. That said I know of mozzarella and burrata on island that would have been financially feasible on this $20 personal sized pizza. That means their mozzarella on their margarita was a choice. What they used did not have a texture that qualifies as Mozzarella to an Italian person, let alone qualify as margarita worthy. Any American who has had a real margarita (there are others on island) would find it lacking also. They seem to miss the objective of showcasing stellar mozzarella on a margarita, I'd be petrified of trying their "cheese" pizza if this was their good mozzarella. I actually didn't finish the pizza because of the cheese. Staff was unfriendly and gave dirty looks. I spend around $50 a day on take out due to a busy career. I live next door and am also an espresso addict as a former barista trained in Italy. My business WAS theirs to lose...

Angel M.

Yelp
Between their hours of their truck & cafe- they always have something out or wrong!!! Their pizza is good but if you are looking for something convenient- go somewhere else!

Jazzlyn S.

Yelp
Great place to sit outside with friends and enjoy Picnic style seating and fresh food. Gut friendly sour dough pizza hot and delicious.. dragonfruit slushies with raw local honey. Yum!

Cantalise F.

Yelp
Tried for the first time today Got the house salad and the avocado pita a/ goat cheese. Food was really good. My salad came with strawberries and balsamic glaze and optional goat cheese crumble. Will definitely get the crumble next time. Food took a bit long to come out but it was fresh and a great portion. Decor is cutesy but looks slightly unfinished. Would eat here again (a tad in the expensive side but yummy and filling)

David C.

Yelp
Tucked into a building, make sure to watch for the cart and signage across the street or you'll miss it. Picked up lunch here on the way to 3 Tables. Ordered 1/2 meat lover's, 1/2 cheese pizza, B.A.T. (bacon, arugula, and tomato) Pita and a large honey lilikoi slush. The sourdough pizza crust and pita were yum. Topping for the pizza were as you would expect. Wifey really liked the pita. The slush was a little overpowering with the syrup but the honey was delish. Service is quick, prices are reasonable for Hawaii but maybe a little steep.

April N.

Yelp
Went there because the waffles are supposed to be amazing. They were ok. Chewy, but center was almost not cooked through. It comes with a side of whipped cream and maple syrup. Also tried the bacon, egg, and cheese pita. It was good except for some areas of the pita that tasted like charcoal. I actually like the flavor of the burnt areas on a pizza that comes out of a pizza oven, but this tasted more like it was time to clean the oven. The honey coffee slush was ok. They use acidic/tart coffee (heads up)....some people like that. For the food, I would give it 3 stars, but I definitely needed to take one off because of the poor service. Not welcoming, it felt like we were a nuisance coming into their shop. No smile, no greeting. When the food was brought, we said thank you and the person just walked away. Came to the counter looking for napkins and needed to say "excuse me"even with the cashier right in front of me. However, when the, what looked like tourists, came in there were smiles and different treatment. Owner/manager: I think it's time for some professional development on customer service.

Tayler C.

Yelp
This is absolutely tragic. I've been coming here for years I knew the previous owners. Idk who took this over but they are defacing the good name of this business. The staff is obviously under paid and untrained. No welcome as your enter or prompt to order. Once you order you have to wait 30 min while you watch 4 people in the kitchen aimlessly making something. I always the get the Italian. I can tell even the ingredients aren't the same quality. From the flour in the sourdough, to the meat and cheese in the sandwich. Also while I'm eating one side of the sammy it's full of meat which is great but kinda missing the other ingredients I've come to love. Then I start on the second side, no meat. They folded the sandwich wrong and cut it so I couldn't even correct the mistake if I tried. I got my boyfriend the turkey and also underwhelming. The bread was soggy, barely any meat and really no flavor other than wet excuse for lettuce. Another cherry on top was the answer to my question of why they didn't answer the phone. I tried to call in an hour prior and didn't get picked up. The cashier said if it gets busy they don't answer the phone. When we walked in there was 4 people in there. You're making coffee and sandwiches, not sure why you're overwhelmed with 4 people working in the kitchen. Owners need to train their workers better, or find some employees that are happy to work for them. Won't be spending any of my hard earned money here anymore. Better off going to waialua bakery! Friendly and family owned !

Yelp
Omg their chai tea latte! And their fresh made sourdoughs!!!!!! Yummmm. I alternate between their pizza, waffle (they also give u a side of vanilla bean to drizzle over the top) oh my!!!

Jaynie C.

Yelp
Excellent customer service. Loved the Hot Lava Pizza. Delicious in so many ways. Lots of seating.

Laura H.

Yelp
I'm so glad I finally came out with a friend to give this spot a try! The food & service are phenomenal! We tried the pitas since I've had their pizza already. All sourdough and man so delicious! I'm coming back for the sourdough waffles I will say this cafe is small seating wise I came on a busy Sunday but they also share some seating with the Mexican spot right beside where you're able to sit. The parking when it's packed is hard to maneuver but it's a great little spot. Go give it a try! Fun fact if you didn't know they have a food truck that sells pizza and slushes on the north shore but now I think this will be my go to spot! Great to hangout spot and there's a cute thrift shop next door.

Alice C.

Yelp
, Cute little place. Definitely stop by if you're in the area. Homemade pita bread was amazing. Was with a group and we had a variety of sandwiches - everyone was happy wit their food. Will definitely return on our next trip.

Deloney D.

Yelp
The line moved quickly. The service was friendly and professional. The slush has effectively turned my friend and me into crack heads. We live on the west side of the island and have not stopped talking about that dragonfruit lemonade slush since we had it. There is a perfect balance between the honey on top and lemonade on the bottom. It was soo soo good! Also the pizza dough is sourdough which is far better for your digestion.

Jess P.

Yelp
Cool eclectic retro feel. Sourdough based menu. Breakfast, pitas and pizza! Waffle with fruit was the perfect sweet and savory combo. Delicious chai tea late. Fast and friendly service. I will be back!

Jane P.

Yelp
First off their service. They're always kind and work hard to make the order right and they right any wrongs. I especially love that they do their best to serve up quality and when you tell them about a food allergy, they take it seriously. I've become a regular there and love their food sourcing too! Hats off to you, Wicked Hi Cafe team! Regular order: goat & honey pizza (sourdough crust is amazing), house salad (so fresh), and their honey slush.

Jae C.

Yelp
What a vibe!! This place has everything trendy plus the quality! The ambiance is chic and vintage. All the plating was also very cute as well. The food is addicting! Sourdough waffles are surprisingly chewy and delicious. It works well with savory toppings or sweet fruity toppings. You must try their slushes. Lilikoi one was sold out already so I got the coffee one and Keiki dragonfruit and lemon one. Loved the generous amount of honey and how yummy they were. Will definitely go back to try other things soon.

Kaylin W.

Yelp
Had a great lunch today! Nice warm soft pita bread sandwiches and a refreshing lilikoi slush with honey! Girls working were nice, very welcoming vibe and good service:)

Christopher H.

Yelp
Favorite breakfast on the island. Friendly staff, delicious food, super cute ambiance. We had the sourdough waffle with bacon, eggs, and cheddar. Will be eating here the moment we're back in the island.

Troy H.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place. Staff is very friendly and works hard. The honey/coffee thing (sorry, I forget what it's called) is soooo GOOD. Sourdough pizza is just as fantastic. I would definitely be visiting this place again anytime in the area. Thanks girls !!!

Carolyn K.

Yelp
Best pizza ever! We went to their food truck at the north shore. Pizza was incredible, service was amazing, so tasty and loved everything about this place. We went twice during our trip because it was sooo good!

Eunice M.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to hit up when we are in North Shore for a couple reasons: fresh-made pizza, hipster/chill vibes, and friendly service. I've tried the waffles and they are awesome especially with fresh fruit, but if you're trying to get one of their pizzas, you'll definitely want to be in there around 1030. Come later and risk it being sold out. Coffee drinks are refreshing and can be sweetened with local honey and bee pollen adds a little something different. The slushes are fruity and perfect way to cool off on a hot day. The seating is cozy and rustic; I prefer to sit outside in the breeze and watch the mountains down the road.

Mother H.

Yelp
The weakest bfast sandwich I have had in ages and it took 25 minutes to make. The kitchen moved at a GLACIAL pace.

Toni R.

Yelp
I was walking back to my office after eating lunch when I stumbled upon the Wicked pop-up stand in town last Friday (8/25/23). I got into a conversation with Brandon who told me that their waffle maker is currently out of order. He ordered the defective part, but it'll take a while since it's coming from Europe. Anyway, I'm writing this review as a public service announcement to let you guys know that you might want to call the restaurant before stopping by to see if the waffle machine is working if you plan to order the waffle, egg, and bacon meal that I raved about in my previous review. I have taken multiple people here before and they all agree that the waffles and slushies are addicting. Of course their other offerings are equally as good, but those waffles are what keeps me coming back. It was serendipitous that I saw Brandon yesterday because I was planning to bring my new friend group there this weekend for breakfast. I guess girls' day out will have to wait until they fix their waffle maker. Thanks, Brandon! You saved me from a repeat of when I took a military friend to Wicked for breakfast only to find out that they were closed for an extended vacation. My friend was so sad because she was moving to California and she really wanted to taste the slush and waffle that I kept talking about before she left the island.

Glenda A.

Yelp
Always make my stop here when I take a drive to the North Shore. Love all their food and drinks. Service is great and staff is nice.

Claire P.

Yelp
Not the best, had plenty seating but took forever to order and wasnt that busy, and got the coffee order wrong and wasnt that impressed with the food. Their slushies are bomb thats why i love it but can get in town at farmers market. Overall wasnt that impressed.

Charles C.

Yelp
Sourdough pudding a crust via wood fire is just an amazing combination. The honey slush are great treat as well.

Marissa K.

Yelp
This time I went here I tried their sourdough pitas. Love their bacon arugula tomato sourdough pita. My friend got their bacon egg avacado pita. Love the vibes here. This is a hidden gem in Waialua.

Patrick Q.

Yelp
Went there with my friend Brittany who is the sister of the former owner. Sad to see them leave, but so glad that the new owners are keeping g the recipes. The sourdough pizza is da bomb!! This is a definite north shore must!!

Ruby A.

Yelp
I love their coffee and breads! But it's the longest wait for anything! They need help! Over 30 minutes for two coffees and a pita.

Rod U.

Yelp
By the numbers, two diners, two pizzas, two pitas, two honey slushes, too much food! In my defense, I'm Asian. 52 miles RT, $5.20/gal gas, 16MPG = $16.25 in gas alone. I'm getting my money's worth. It's all about the sourdough. Oh yeah, the sourdough. Thick, blistered, chewy sourdough crust spread with tart goat cheese, topped with acidic cherry tomatoes and peppery fresh arugula, drizzled with raw sweet honey all sourced locally. The simple pepperoni with san marzano and motz, not as complex or refreshing but the crust, the fresh from the oven crust. Not feeling a pie? The same beautiful sourdough baked as a pita, split open, smeared with a toasted garlic aioli and honey mustard then filled with turkey, cheddar cheese, bacon and greens. Solid. As is the Italian version with it's mortadella, salami, provolone, pickled banana peppers, the same delish garlic aioli, greens and a balsamic syrup. Finally the honey slushies (lilikoi ordered). Think of this as a sorbet crossed with a granita. Made with fresh fruit and drizzled with natural honey. The sweet, tart combo is incredibly refreshing. Note: Follow on IG for schedule of farmers market popups. A few stalls in front else plenty of parking on the side of the road. Very friendly service. Without a doubt, worth the $16.25 in gas.

Jordyn W.

Yelp
Went around 12 PM on a Friday during the summer and waited in about a 15 minute line. The small shop was quite busy with a line running through most of the store. The cafe had cute decor and light fixtures with ample seating. They also had a self-serve cold water dispenser. We wanted to try the honey coffee slush and bacon egg and cheddah waffle but they were sold out (all waffles were sold out). Recommend getting there earlier to get those popular items. We ordered a cold brew coffee, bacon egg and cheddah sourdough pita, and honey goat cheese pizza. The cold brew was okay but the sourdough pita and pizza were phenomenal! Both had slightly salty, chewy bread, with a bit of char on the bottom from the oven. The chewy texture of the pita paired well with the crunch of the bacon and the gooey over-easy egg inside! The pop of freshness from the cherry tomatoes and arugula was a great compliment to the goat cheese and honey. I'm not typically a fan of most pizza crusts but for this pizza the crust was my favorite part. The texture of the thick chewy dough reminded me a little bit of mochi and it was sooo yummy with the local honey drizzled on it!! Totally worth the drive from town and I can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu!

Tiara A.

Yelp
My kids and I love the slush. Main thing why we go plus we live near here. They were missing the cream this time we went but still so good and refreshing. My favorites are the pina colada and coffee. The pizza and sandwich is also good. They make their own fresh sourdough bread.

Shantell C.

Yelp
Cute place with easy to read signage. I popped in and quickly ordered a marguerita pizza and a slushee. Friendly staff and quick service. The pizza was good, dough was the perfect thickness.

Desa L.

Yelp
Aloha, Hard working people (3 ) when we went there. Mahalo. I hope you consider a railing for the stairs. Us old guys have to be safe. I found your bread (pizza dough)a little saltier than it needs to be. The bread is good and should shine with less salt. The separate arugula to add to my pizza worked really well. Gave it a fresh, bright bite. Good one! The turkey sandwich was nice and again the bread change would elevate it too. Mahalo, and keep up the good works. Will be back.

Russ C.

Yelp
The honey goat pizza shouldn't exist. But it does. And once you have it, you'll want it again. I've eaten here twice in 48 hours. The thin sourdough crust is fired to perfect charness. The balance of the goat cheese, garlic, tomatoes, and honey is something I will miss when I leave the island. And the honey slush is just as fabulous. The staff working the food truck in Hale'iwa were personable and seemed to be enjoying working there. They were great. All in all, a flawless experience.

Chantille C.

Yelp
The coffee slush is amazing. I love going to the thrift store that shares a building while I wait for my drink.

Rachel F.

Yelp
We got the Turkey Club Pita, the Italian Pita and a dragon fruit lemon slush. I CANNOT recommend this place enough! The food is so fresh and delicious!

Carla P.

Yelp
Nice place but service is terrible I waited more than 25 minutes for a waffle and iced coffee People after me got their coffee before me because the cashier was talking with them probably her friends I can wait for a food but 20 minutes for a iced coffee is too much When I asked her about the coffee she said that I have to wait few minutes Terrible I'm barista I know how fast you can make a iced coffee She was busy talking In the end I waited 30 minutes for everything

Cherry N.

Yelp
We wanted to eat a light brunch after an early hike at Ka'ena Point and Wicked Hi Cafe was the closest place and on the way home. Wicked Hi Cafe is a hidden gem, very cute place. The atmosphere was very comfortable, relaxing and friendly service. I asked what the most popular was and Bacon, Egg and Cheddah Waffle was recommended to me and I got Chai Tea Lattte. We also ordered Avocado Toast Waffle added over easy egg for $2 and hot latte with soy milk. The drinks were just right for my taste, good and not too sweet. The food was freshly made and the waffles were soft. Overall, we loved our food, it was delicious and satisfying. I'll definitely be back here again to eat and try their pastas and pizzas.

Stacy T.

Yelp
The crew working here were super nice and friendly. I usually don't visit O'ahu as I have family on Maui but I came here on a solo adventure to hunt shells. I wanted to grab something to eat on the beach between hunting that was quick and easy. I'm so glad I stopped by here and discovered this place. I ordered the honey piña colada slush for the drive and the turkey club sourdough pita both were so amazing!

Nabeel N.

Yelp
Pizza is yummy. No questions there! But why only 4 stars? Because their meat lovers pizza comes with ONE meat. Any additional meat is $2 per topping. So basically it's a pepperoni pizza with options to load up on additional meat. Stop calling it Meat Lovers!!

Devin B.

Yelp
This place is reason enough to come to the North Shore. Sourdough pizza and Pita sandwiches. What a brilliant idea. ( sourdough has the least gluten of all wheat). They put local honey on a lot of stuff. Try the Honey Goat pizza. Then there's this magic concoction called Lilikoi slush sprinkled with honey. But what really surprised me was how good the Cortado was. Best I've had on Oahu. Great ambiance and strong WiFi. I'm coming back !

Todd T.

Yelp
Pizza was good.. but get this.. I ordered the Meat Lovers for $22 as advertised on the menu. Little high.. but ok. But wait.. they don't tell you until you get to the register.. that your meat lovers doesn't come with any meat. WHAT?! When was the last time you ordered.. a meat lovers with no meat?? Yup.. it's $1.50 to add one. Hmm.. isn't a pizza without meat.. just a cheese pizza?.. which is actually $2 less. Makes no sense! Tried explaining that to the worker. Her response.. "she doesn't make the menu." ‍
