"Whether you step onto the Second Avenue Pier off the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk or the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, either of these sister Wicked Tuna waterfront locations will provide a wicked cool dining experience. Both restaurants specialize in fresh seafood salads, entrees, and sushi that you will want to dive into." - Ashley Daniels

The service was excellent, and our waiter Joey was especially attentive and friendly—definitely a highlight of the experience. However, for the price point, I was expecting more from the food. I was drawn in by the creative names like “Bang Bang Shrimp” and “Grouper Bang,” but unfortunately, the flavors didn’t quite deliver. I also ordered the shrimp and grits, and it just wasn’t to my taste. While the atmosphere and service were great, the overall dining experience didn’t feel worth the cost. (Liz, Yesy, Alex, Aiden)

Google
Wicked Tuna was an amazing experience, and our server Madison was kind, attentive, and super helpful. The food was out of this world fresh & next time in town would definitely attend this spot again. Tried the grits, wicked tuna sushi, yumyum roll, she crab soup tdf, the most delicious shrimp, and the beets salad with whipped feta, arugula, shaved radish was plated beautifully. Thanks so much for this lovely evening. Desert was crazy sweet peanut butter chocolate cake + triple chocolate mousse tart!!

Google
Great atmosphere overlooking the ocean right above the pier. There was a person playing and singing music, which was nice. Service was a little slow, and the food was ok. We didn't have sea food, so maybe it would have been better if we had eaten seafood since we were right on the ocean. Cute place right on the ocean. Fireworks at night shoot off from the pier.

Benjamin Hertz

Google
Loved the food and service. Kids enjoyed the kids menu burger and alfredo. We loved the crab stuffed shrimp. Oysters, salad, sushi and platter were all great!

Alex Gonzalez

Google
The service and the view are amazing. Didn’t get a drink here but they looked good. If this was a regularly priced place, it would have gotten higher stars. But honestly the food was way overpriced for how bland it was. The fried apps are cooked well, not over done so that was appreciated, but the flavor was bland and the breading was too heavy. The $32 shrimp and grits should have been called “andouille sausage with sides” since that’s the star of the dish. The taste was ok, but for that much, the shrimp and grits should have been the much better. The fries are good. The mousse was good. Again, if this was cheap seaside shack, the food would be worth it. But for this price, and for all the hype this gets online, I should be dying to come back. You get better food for better prices in the area, don’t be fooled.

Google
Great food and drinks. We had the bang bang grouper shareable which was delicious! The views are amazing and the windows open so you get a nice fresh breeze. Service was a little slower today but overall experience was still amazing.

Ashley Boykin

Google
We had a delicious dinner and drinks. Recommendations from our server Lauren were perfect! She was very sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back soon!

Ryan Mason

Google
We had to wait over an hour to be seated. The hostess lied about the wait time even though half the restaurant was empty they wouldn’t even sit us. Restaurant was also full of cockroaches. Tripped over this cockroach that was larger than a Chihuahua. This cockroach was part of the herd that ran out of the kitchen. Obviously he didn’t like the food either.

Yelp
Visited the other day in Merrill's inlet. Phil ordered the Wedge salad, said it was very good. Tasted good to me, as well. Just enough dressing. I ordered the Wicked Tuna sushi roll. Very good. Service was great. I. actually prefer the Wicked Shack located ground floor. A bit less uppity. During the summer months there is no half off sushi on Tuesdays. Bummer. We will be returning this fall, so I'll get me more Asian! Can't wait.

Yelp
Possibly the best meal we've had down here during the week we've been here! We came at an awkward time - around 3pm, so no surprise that we were seated immediately and at a table overlooking the beach no less! My stepdaughter ordered a mocktail and I had the blueberry Basil lemonade. Both were so good, cold, and refreshing! My husband had an Arnold Palmer and it was perfectly balanced. The food was GREAT. The she crab soup was the best I have had of the three times I've had it this week. The roasted beet salad was beautiful and delicious. We also had the tuna tartare appetizer... not your standard tartare flavors, but equally delicious. My husband had a wedge salad and he thought it was very, very good. Server was nice and attentive. If we had more time down here we would absolutely go back for dinner. Well done!

Yelp
Returned to one of my favorite places on the beach after 3yrs. Still as amazing as I remember. Food was great, service was good , the view is what is amazing. I got the Shrimp Po Boy this time. Shrimp was cooked to perfection, good amount of Shrimp in the sandwich along with the sauce and all the fixings the sandwich was perfection. This will always be my go to place on the beach. Give it a try, won't be disappointed.

Billy D.

Yelp
Cool view, and good happy hours. The happy hour specials made it! Decent selection of Sushi rolls, and drinks too (4-7)! Sat at the bar but the upstairs has a great view of the beach too.

Cady P.

Yelp
Pretty restaurant with a really good view! However, when we went, it was extremely hot in that restaurant, as if they had no air! It was almost nauseating. Cocktails were good. The sushi rolls were all exceptional! Fried grouper bites were really good- I would ask for light sauce next time, or sauce on the side. Service was quick and attentive. We made a reservation in advance but I doubt it's too long of a wait as the restaurant is 2 stories and pretty big.

Josh S.

Yelp
we only came for drinks and the atmosphere. The bartender is amazing and she was on top of our drinks when we needed them. Everyone around us was raving about the food. So we decided to order and the food was ok. The fish was greasy, and the burger overcooked. Overall the service & the view was worth it. The food is overpriced though!

Mary H.

Yelp
Lobster tail Trio is a bomb! Very delicious and flavourful! Risotto that comes with Lobster tail Trio had a unique flavour, I think it had Saffron. Wicked Tuna Roll was so fresh and delirious. We really enjoyed our awesome lunch and beautiful view here.

Daniela C.

Yelp
I had the shrimp Alfredo pasta and honestly, it was OK didn't have that much flavor. Definitely not worth $27! They have people that come and take pictures of you print them out and kind of annoying trying to push you to buy all the pictures .

Chris J.

Yelp
apparently the women need full cover ups even with shorts. first restaurant to say something but was not that impressive. Note we ate at restaurant below too level with similar apparel uniforms and ambiance does not warrant This type of clothing New York Prime had a cover up with skirt and that was allowed $400 plus just for food but treated you professionally will never return to this restaurant because of that alone

Todd C.

Yelp
4 stars, too pricey for taste and quality. Dinner for two with happy hour drinks, $150. It should not be a question if you would go back. But we probably will not. Unless they increase the taste/quality or reduce prices.

Ciara H.

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick bite and a drink before hitting the beach. Very bright and airy environment with a great view of the beach! Our server was super nice and gave us the perfect amount of attention . I had a ginger beer mix drink and it was so good I had to have 2! We got the wicked tuna sushi roll, and oh it was good!! I will definitely be back to try more items in the menu

Wendy R.

Yelp
The place was decorated for the beach, kind of snazzy but calming. They opened the windows around us, which was super nice. We had the Bang Bang Grouper, and it was beyond exceptional! Served hot and not overcooked, would 1000% have this again. The sushi was highly recommended, and it did NOT disappoint. The stuffed shrimp on the risotto was magnificent. Salted perfectly and creamy risotto was a perfect suggestion.

Joey P.

Yelp
INCREDIBLE. Food , service, ambience. One of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach in my opinion. Will definitely be back next time we're in the city.

Khoa L.

Yelp
If you come to Myrtle Beach, Wicked Tuna is the place to come and eat. The food is exquisite and fresh, the service is incredible, and the rooftop views are to die for!

Rachel B.

Yelp
Disappointed would be an understatement. We are a family of foodies and I did tons of research into the restaurants we decided to try. But this place was so disconnected from the outside to the service. The pricing does not dictate the service we received. The food was hit or miss. Meaning some things were great others not worth the price. My husband ordered an espresso martini that came in a cracked glass, when he told the waitress her response was oh okay. We will throw away after you're done. My mind was blown. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting for a restaurant charging $40+ a plate. Having a photographer taking our pic for a free postcard great. But then coming to upsell me right when my food got to the table terrible timing. Just the general lack of experience of staff in customer service for a higher end restaurant was a real issue for me. The food was mediocre. I previously enjoyed the other wicked tuna we tried several years ago but this place on the ocean was a real miss. What a shame. $340 we will never get back.

Whitley S.

Yelp
Food was great! My favorite item was the oysters Rockefeller! Ambiance is great as it's right by the ocean and the peer. You have to go upstairs to the bar area to go to the restroom as the restaurant is downstairs. The service was good. However, I heard the waitress make a comment about us all paying with separate checks... it was a semi- large party of 12 and we needed to split the bill. Her comment was 'this is crazy.' I can understand that situation could be overwhelming, but keep your comments to yourself or wait until you're not around customers.... Another issue was one of my family members had their plate taken away before she was done with it. They were accommodating by giving her a partial refund, but again this was the same waitress that made that comment...

Gavin P.

Yelp
If you're going to dinner for a view specifically then this is a great place to go. The service was just okay for a place that charges such a high gratuity fee and the food was outrageously priced for what you get. Wouldn't recommend unless you wanna feel like you got ripped off. Got the shrimp po'boy and it had 6 shrimp on it for 30+ dollars.

Jessica G.

Yelp
We had a 6:30 reservation that we were on time for. We were told they were slightly behind. At 6:48 we checked in again and were told it was going to be another 10 to 15 minutes. So we went upstairs to check the bar for seats. We found seats so I went to tell the host to remove us from the reservation. She said she had a table available for us and seated us 30 minutes after our reservation. Then no one removed us from the reservation list so we received a text at 7:14 that our table was ready. We told the manager the situation and he proceeded to tell us a child puked downstairs which backed things up. Didn't give much of an apology and just said he had a lot of people complaining. Did nothing to remedy the situation. Terrible service with upstairs and downstairs not talking and probably the worst way a manager could have handled things. Definitely won't be back. But our server was good.

Danielle E.

Yelp
We should have left before we ordered. There was no air conditioning or fans, so it was stuffy, hot and humid. There was live music, which was way too loud. Our server was very polite and opened a window for us, and took good care of us during our visit. The food was good for some of our group and sub par for others. Honestly, there was just too much going on - we were on sensory overload the whole time with the heat, live music, and photographers circling through the restaurant. I wish the owners knew that all they needed was good food, service, and the view. It just seemed like they were trying to throw everything at you, and they missed the mark on it all.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Our server Eli was awesome friendly and the drinks and food was off the charts good. Definitely coming here on our next trip Thank you Eli for a nice visit

Minette E.

Yelp
VERY loud live music almost ruined our dinner. Couldn't hear each other talk at all. No a/c where we were seated. Very hot and stuffy. Food was decent, but not the experience we expected

Larry B.

Yelp
The service was great. Very helpful with a good knowledge of the menu. Pleasant atmosphere with very tolerable noise levels and a great view of the Atlantic. The food was very flavorful with very fresh ingredients. We enjoyed it very much.

William B.

Yelp
The food was great. We got what we ordered in good time. A waiter served us the wrong dish which we didn't realize until too late. They gave us the right dish on the house. Nice. The restaurant was a little cool for the kids. A manager noticed and turned down the air for us. Again nice. Great service. The only knock was that we got on the waiting list and were expecting to be notified. Despite giving our number thrice we got no notification. If not for the kids being so hungry we asked for water and checked we would have waited way too long. Otherwise perfec

Mike M.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The server Kim was extremely attentive and friendly. I would definitely go again.

Gabby R.

Yelp
Saw great reviews for Wicked Tuna and had to try it, although we got seated right away the service was horrible. We waited 15 minutes to order drinks and then another 10 to get the drink because the bar was "backed up". The surf n turf burger was tasteless, definitely NOT worth the price of the meal. I'd say skip!

Irene C.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised after our meal at Wicked Tuna. We had previously heard good things but weren't sure what to expect. We ended up on the third floor with the 360 degree windows and an amazing view of the ocean below us. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and fun and great with recommending options to choose. We ordered the Tuna Pizza appetizer to share along with an off menu order of hush puppies and both were delicious. The pizza was so fresh and a creative take on how to present sushi. The hush puppies were delicious and light. My dinner was the dinner special - the catch of the day (grouper) topped with shrimp, scallop and lump crab and a bleu cheese sauce and balsamic glaze - phenomenal! The prices definitely reflect the quality of food but would go back in a second - especially given the light, freshness that was needed at this point in our vacation.

Emilee J.

Yelp
Top notch views, menu & ambiance inside and out. Right on the pier, this was the perfect spot to start off a week trip to Myrtle. If you're looking for LOADS of seafood, you've met your match. Everything from the sushi down to the lobster was fabulous and we all left with happy stomachs. Was a huge fan personally of the sushi although I can't remember the names, however if you show the photos, they'll remember. Highly recommend and a must stop when visiting Myrtle beach and walking the boardwalk.

Billy O.

Yelp
Family of 5 wanting dinner by the water service was not good and an attitude. We all got $48 & $53 dollar platters food was skimpy for the prices! and to top it off they hit you with Gratuity for having 5 people in our party so a $200 dollar bill turns into $300 after liquor tax and gratuity of $45 automatically added we won't be back!!

Tattedupboi 1.

Yelp
came to Myrtle beach and stopped here for lunch with my wife food was amazing and atmosphere was amazing also definitely will be back again

John D.

Yelp
Great vibes and open bar restaurant layout, food was great will definitely return there when in Myrtle Beach! Seafood was fresh and had great variety!

Yelp
While on vacation in Myrtle Beach, we definitely wanted to try out a seafood spot, and Wicked Tuna was not only able to fill that but also provide seating for our large group of 14! It's a huge space (multiple floors), so definitely a good spot for a group. They have a large variety of seafood options, and my personal favorite was the bang bang grouper appetizer. It was a good size to share, the fish was only very lightly fried so the fish flavor/texture still came through, and the sauce was super flavorful. For my entree, I had the prime scallops over pea and mushroom risotto. The flavors were very bright, but the scallops and risotto were both over cooked. Ben tried the lobster trio, which was definitely a good sized portion of lobster for the price! As for the drinks, the cocktails were all really good (pictured is their cucumber cocktail which was super refreshing & the jalapeño margarita which was actually really spicy) & quite strong as well. The restaurant also has a decent wine list that has bottles at really affordable prices. Interestingly, service at tables was better & faster than bar service. One negative I will state is that the ambiance doesn't necessarily fit the prices paid for the food. When spending that much money, I would expect a cleaner, nicer restaurant compared to the ambiance of Wicked Tuna. They also describe online having a rooftop bar (which we went early to check out), but it's just their third floor regular bar in a fully enclosed space. Overall, this place was fine & definitely gets bonus points for being able to fit our large group for a day-of reservation, but I would likely only go back for appetizers/drinks. Food: B+ Drinks: A- Service: B Ambiance: C-

Yelp
The Staff were so friendly and the sushi was absolutely delicious...best I've ever had !!Highly recommend this place for a good bite and pretty views. Our sever Edon was excellent as well.

Reba J.

Yelp
Stopped in for happy hour on a Sunday. Happy hour is 4-7 daily in the rear deck bar. Small food menu and drinks are $ off. We tasted the tempura cauliflower, lettuce wraps, oyster Rockefeller and 2 sushi rolls. The food were decent portions and average flavors. Nice to look out over marsh and boat channels. There are deck heater to take chill out of air. Staff was friendly.

darlene l.

Yelp
This has been our go yo place for years, close to our condo. Yesterday was such a disappointment. The best bartender (Anika) and manger David are gone. They really had turned that place around. The new help has a LONG way TO GO. Attitude and no urgency are unattractive. We did speak to the new Manger who was receptive. We're hoping some bar training and customer service turns this negative around. The sushi is great!

Lorren P.

Yelp
My husband and I loved our meal here. We went during the Super Bowl, the restaurant was not crowded and they were playing the game. The atmosphere was nice, especially it being the off season! We loved the set up of simple Valentines decor, it was sweet. The food was fantastic, we took a bit of time to decide what we wanted as everything sounded so good. We settled on our meals and they were served very quickly! The beverage menu had a nice variety which helped as he loves beer and I love wine! We both left the restaurant full and happy, you cannot ask for anything more. My only complaint, which is more my fault than the restaurants was we couldn't see the water due to the time of night. It was cold so all windows were closed and with all of the lights on the water faded into the background. Great restaurant, good service, fantastic food!

Gwendolyn W.

Yelp
Yummy! We were looking for a good seafood restaurant for the family and this was great! We loved the views and they had a kids menu which was helpful. They were very accommodating with our seating and my sons sushi order. The drinks were great and we tried lots of different dishes and they were all delicious. The way up into the restaurant is a little odd. You have to pass a gift shop, pier and the kitchens to get there. But overall great little spot!

Rachael T.

Yelp
Great place to go to for some drinks and live music. Love the outside sitting area but not a fan of the food. Ate here two times and was disappointed both times

Taryn V.

Yelp
Split two specialty sushi rolls with my brother for dinner. They were yummy. It is now the middle of the night and I have been vomiting for hours. Would not recommend.

Chris M.

Yelp
Our server Ray was the best server I've ever had. He was efficient, helpful and super friendly. He handled our party of 14 like it was a table of two! Do not lose Ray! It will impact your bottom line. He was as amazing as the food!

Zach C.

Yelp
I understand paying for the experience, but this restaurant was not it. The live signer was obnoxiously loud, the hostess sat us and our young child at the table closest to the singer, and the rest of the staff were motionless friendly. Ignoring all that, the prices were targeted toward trapping tourists. $120 for 2 people, 2 cheaper meals, and 2 beers. I will never return. If you want to see the pier, eat somewhere else and then pay the $2 to walk the pier.

Megan P.

Yelp
Me and my husband have been coming here for about 2 years when we visit on vacations. The foot, drinks, and environment are spectacular. However, the most recent visit we had a rather off putting server. We sat at the bar, and the first thing she said was "we close in a few minutes " meanwhile it's almost an hour and a half before they close.. me and my husband were just coming for apps and drinks so our stay wasn't going to be long anyways. She was a manager it looked like, she was wearing all black and working the bar. She was fast with service but could have been a bit nicer to customers who are paying money to eat and drink at this establishment. We will be returning sometime in the future, but won't have her as a serverh.

Ashley K.

Yelp
Oh, the food. The bang bang grouper bites alone made it worth it. The sushi was also top notch. And the view! Sadly the service was kind of meh (although our server was good). Likely because there were multiple giant families with a bunches of kiddos, and unfortunately not the vibe I was hoping for.

Lisa M.

Yelp
A trip to Myrtle Beach is never complete without a meal at Wicked Tuna. We always enjoy the food and the views are amazing. It's wonderful to dine while enjoying a view of the ocean. Whether we order surf and turf, grilled seafood, or sushi, everything is always delicious. They have a kids menu too that's a big hit with the little ones. They have great service and are good for small or large parties.

Sandra T.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and great service. Food was delicious and plenty to choose from. Dave was great and attentive for sure.

Rachel W.

Yelp
First things first, we start by heading to the 3rd floor via the elevator. Yes, they have stairs, but we skipped it. We made it to the host station, and we were promptly seated. I have to admit, though, I was a little disappointed we didn't get the table in front of the restaurant. Instead, we sat in the back corner. The view was only at an angle, so we didn't get the effect of eating on the pier. But, let's talk about the food! We ordered the Oyster Rockefellers, and they were great. Nothing over the top, but they were made they way they were supposed to be. (Sorry, we grabbed them ate them before I grabbed a photo.) We ordered the pork gyoza, and it was cooked great, and they were delicious. We ordered the sushi. I have labeled the ones we ate in the photo. The one with all the orange crab meat on top is: you guessed it: Fat Crab. It was good, but we had to ask for the low sodium first. Otherwise, I think sushi is typically to salty with all the fish. The California Roll was normal, but the Philadelphia roll had way too much cream cheese. It made the whole roll almost a yuck... but we were starving, so we still chomped through gloops of cream cheese. Yes, you can have too much and meh. This was it. I asked if they sold fried rice. I did not see it on the menu. Yall. They said yes, they sell fried rice. The bowl in the back of the sushi picture is their fried rice, and the other photo is their version on fried rice on my plate. It's not fried rice. Fried rice is offended, you'd called that bowl of rice "fried rice!" I'll tell you what it appeared to be: white rice with soy sauce and cooked spinach. Again, we were hungry, but I would have rather skipped this dish all together or sent it back, but... we just gave up. I sincerely wished we had NOT ordered it, but whatever. The server looked to be trying, but idk it seemed like an off night. Sushi wasn't bad per sec, but for what it's worth, I may just skip the food and go to the 2nd floor and just walk the pier. We did order a bottle of wine and it was alright. Reasonable for the beach prices.

Conor W.

Yelp
So bad. Horrible food and service. Waited never checked up on us. It's on a local pier and the crowd is very rough and place smells like crap. Don't come it here, it sucks and is super tacky. Hope they go out of business

Mike S.

Yelp
Very disappointing! Catch of the day for $48 very skimpy. Manager was not willing to make the situation any better. Lilly the server was nice, but not authorized to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place.

Joleen E.

Yelp
Came here over vacation for lunch. To get the to restaurant, you climb some stairs (or elevator). Theres the restaurant and then a roof top bar. Before you go into the restaurant, you enter a shop that has a very interesting... smell. I mean I guess it makes sense since it's right at the fishing dock, but it wasn't fresh fish I was smelling. The restaurant is pretty clean and has cute decorations. Did not have time to go see the rooftop. Service was good. The waiter we had was very polite, attentive. When we ordered, the waiter said they did not have salmon..? But we were able to order salmon rolls... Food ordered * shrimp tacos. They were okay. Just really "saucy" for my liking. A lot of cold-slaw and avocado in the tacos * Shrimp Alfredo - Bland * Maryland crab cake sandwich * I forgot the name but it had shrimp? and rice looking dish * sushi rolls What we liked * fried calamari * fries * Mussels * sushi rolls. Overall, I'm glad to have tried this "popular" restaurant, and will definitely will not return. The entrees were not good, especially considering how expensive it was.

Amie B.

Yelp
The views and the atmosphere at Wicked Tuna are great. I've been at least 4 times now and have been happy with the food and service every time. Whether you eat upstairs or downstairs, you'll be able to enjoy a view of the beach, the ocean, and the pier. I have yet to be unhappy with something I've ordered from their menu, whether it was the Shrimp and Grits or something from their sushi menu. The servers are always so kind and happy to help. There were only a couple occasions where the wait time for our food was fairly long, but I would still definitely recommend this place if you've never been!
