16 Solid Bets for Hot Dogs in Austin

"Okay, this is another roaming-type situation, but the pop-up focuses on Rhode Island-style dogs, which isn’t really available in Austin. The beef dog is topped with meat sauce, celery salt, and onions. Check its Instagram for its schedule and locations. Currently, there’s a regular Friday residency at Kitty Cohen’s starting at 5 p.m." - Nadia Chaudhury

It had been a while since I've had a wienerschnitzel hot dog, but my son had stopped here a couple days ago and then my wife was thinking about it as we were driving by and so we said screw it. Let's do it. About 25 minutes till closed so the place is really clean. I hate bothering employees when I know they're going to have to clean up after me so close to closing so we made it easy. Got four hot dogs. The wife went with a Chicago dog which was loaded with toppings. I chose to get three chili cheese dogs with mustard. Since I was 2 years old, I have been eating wienerschnitzel since I was two. I Will always Love these hot dogs. That being said, they have definitely increased their price a lot. You used to be able to get five chili dogs for $5.99 and now it's $6 for two with cheese. If you enjoy a good hot dog, can't go wrong.

Google
My late wife would come and pick me up and take me here for lunch once a week and we always got Chili dogs with cheese and mustard yummy!! Where else can you get this kind of comfort food for lunch? As far as I know only two of these exist in this area! The place has always been run very well and I been coming here for 20+ years!

Google
Employees were great. Took my order, all is good. Place was nice and clean. Even the people ordering there were nice. Great service overall. THE FOOD, HOWEVER. What's this? That's the Chili sauce, by the way. But I'm not here to judge, I ate it anyways. It tasted really odd. Later that day, I couldn't leave the restroom. This was actual poison. Order 2 hotdogs, both looked like this. Avoid this place.

Google
I tried this place for the first time in California & it was delicious. The Austin location was great as well, but something different or extra about the CA location. The original dog taste delicious. I wasn't a fan of the premium. Nonetheless, I would recommend.

Google
My entire family loves Wienerschnitzel. We wish there were more of them. I always stop here when return home from the airport and buy 20 Chili Chese Dogs and Burgers. They are incredible!

Google
Excellent service best we've had in a long while! Jesus was super attentive the second we came in, brought the food to our table along with everything we needed such as napkins, forks etc. We had such a great time and will definitely travel all the way from Leander to visit this location.

Adam Hiracheta

Google
I drove down from Leander to try it out, if you’re going based off the appearance of the food through posters you will be disappointed. The food taste what I expected and wasn’t bad but it’s not gourmet so don’t have really high expectations. The fries were really good and so were the mini corn dogs They play good music in the lobby and always see someone cleaning tables so the area is clean.

Google
When we go out of town we like to enjoy food we can not get in our hometown. I enjoyed the polish sandwich with an order of chili cheese fries and a rootbeer. Everything was very good, the restaurant appeared to be clean and well staffed, everyone working together. We did have to ask for napkins.

Victoria M.

Yelp
We ordered many chili cheese hot dogs and fries and were so happy with them. They came out fast and were delicious. The restaurant was clean and service was efficient.

Yelp
Tonight a hot dog popped into my culinary brain. I got a chili dog, which was a typical baseball park type dog. Btw...Q2 stadium is across the street. The bun was nice and soft. The cashier rang my order rather quickly and was handed over to me in minutes. The restaurant was small with most people going through the drive through.

Yelp
Let me just say this. I spent $20 on food that had my stomach hurting and upset too the point where I felt I needed to go to the hospital. Ate the food at 7 PM and around 11 pm that's when the discomfort began. Diarrhea, gas, stomach pain.. Never again

Mister A.

Yelp
No major complaints. From time to time you just have to get your chili dog or chili cheese dog fix! I always gotta get the onions! I'm glad they're still around after coming & going a few times over the years.

Yelp
Let me set the weekend scene for you. GF and I had left home Friday evening and headed out the Hill Country for our anniversary weekend. So, hotel room for two nights. Add in dranks over a few days; spendy meals and of course shopping. Sunday afternoon and we're back home with empty bank accounts. We had to drop off her work vehicle at 290 east and 183. I start thinking about cheap grub. For some reason Wienerschnitzel popped into my brain and we headed to Braker Lane. Dining room is open here; simple order at the counter process and we're waiting for our food. Two meals and drinks under $18. I did forget to add onions to both my dogs; presentation could have used a little work. Chili cheese and Kraut dogs are good appetizers. What you're missing if you haven't dined here is the crack like mini corndogs. And strangely, I don't order corndogs anywhere. My addiction to them is exclusive to this chain. Paired with simple yellow mustard I could eat hundreds of them. Did I mention I don't put mustard on anything??? I'm going for 4 stars because the cook tried to short my order; only serving me 5 instead of 6. I had to show proof at the counter that there were only 5 in the bag. A few minutes later the elusive 6th mini made it to the table. Wish there was a South Austin store!

Shelby M.

Yelp
Hours online says open until 11:00pm and lobby open until 10pm. The staff was leaving the building when we pulled up at 9:49. Please update your google listing, I drove across town for nothing.

Yelp
HORRIBLE! Chicago Styled Hotdogs.?? A lie! the only truth is the name! This city and its food is utterly...depressing... So glad I have lived around the Nation and know good food! YUCK!

Yelp
Childhood favorite from the west coast. Great chili and now that The Chili Dog Stand in San Marcos is closed, this is my go-to chili dog place again. Tastee freeze ice cream options are ok but I would recommend chili dogs and fries as the main reason to visit.

Yelp
I haven't had hot dogs in forever, maybe a few or more years. One day we saw this place offers veggie dogs, so we pondered trying it. Yesterday we did. I ordered an All American veggie dog, if I remember the name right, and realized exactly as I feared, I don't like veggie dogs. No amount of their elaborate and creative toppings could compensate for my dislike of veggie dogs. Nonetheless, I dig Wiener Schnitzel for offering veggie dogs: planet based items make establishments like this rock. Some people do like veggie dogs, so they will appreciate this place's offerings even more. The fries please me. Yay for Weiner Schintzel for offering veggie dogs!

Yelp
I had to meet a friend at Costco's and it was around lunch. After meeting and chatting for a while, she had to go to work. that left me wondering where to grab a quick bite to eat. Then I remembered Wienerschnitzel wasn't too far. Since the one in Cedar Park closed years ago, I missed the chili cheeseburger. GPSed to find the quickest route and was there in 5 minutes. The drive-thru was a bit packed. Gave me a chance to check out the menu. Decided on the chili cheeseburger and small order of mini corndogs. I was told that the corndogs will take 5 minutes. No problem as the line to get food wasn't moving too fast. The lady at the window was so happy and pleasant to talk to. Paid my bill and got my bag of food. Now the hard part, driving home smelling that chili cheeseburger. I only made it halfway home before I grabbed a corn dog to munch on. So Good Once home the burger had no chance. It was devoured in no time. It was not as good as I remembered as it could have used more chili. But it was still nice eating it. Then those cute little corndogs were my target. One by one, they were eaten and gone. I said to myself not to wait seven years to go again

Yelp
Only reason I am giving it 1 star it's because of they don't put a lot of chili on their hotdogs. I always ask for extra chili and they charge me but don't add it to the hot dog . So far it's been 6 times that has happen. Also , I ordered a cup of chili and they only fill the cup about 3/4 of the way . I asked why is that ? The employee said it's because they have to have room to add cheese & onions . I told them o didn't want onions & cheese . She said they can't fill it up all the way regardless. They make it seem like their chili is made of gold !! The chili dogs are very good . But they are super stingy on the chili. The employees are not very friendly either . So far I've been there about 8 times and not once have I had a friendly encounter

Yelp
The veggie backyard dog was pretty good but the Chicago dog had too much going on. The fries were good and the watermelon lemonade wasn't my favorite combination but was fine after the ice started to melt and cut down on the sweetness. I ate in the restaurant and those booths are pretty small. If you're a person with a large body expect it to be a tight squeeze.

Yelp
Amazing food! It's been quite a while since I've been into one of my favorite places in Austin Texas. The food the management and the staff continue to be spot on! Please support this business as much as possible, some people would say it's a cult favorite! I'm just saying it's some damn good food!
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
Buns are incredibly soft while corndogs are appropriately crunchy. It's easy to understand the employees thru the drive thru speaker and they are patient with you when you ask for a few moments to review the menu. When I arrived at the pick up window to pay, I was greeted by a nice young man who asked me about condiments and let me know my order would be ready shortly.  Meals are made here fresh! The woman who returned with my food also checked about condiments and gave me my food with a smile. Can't beat the pricing too--my two dogs only cost $3.88!

Yelp
My darling hubby and I were right in the middle of our Great British Baking Show binge, when he suddenly announced that his favorite hot dog on Earth was a Chicago dog! This was truly apropos of nothing, at the moment, because the bakers were in the middle of their show-stopper round of some sort of ice cream, jam, and pâte à choux roll thingie, but I paused the TV to hear him out because I love the man, and I got immediately intrigued! Sports peppers? Are they like pickles? Oh, no, said he! They're their own thing! I then took to Amazon, and, the next day, the peppers arrived! We decided to make our very own official Chicago dogs on the Blackstone at the casa, at some point soon! Fast forward to three days later, and I can't stop thinking about this thing! It's all so very specific, what with the peppers and the celery salt and all, which makes it extra-interesante! I decided that, in order for us to truly make the best one in history, I definitely needed to try one first. That's how we found ourselves at Wienerschnitzel in the Domain! We went through the drive thru, and it's no surprise that we both got the Chi dog! Oh, I also got 6 mini corn dogs because I have NEVER seen a corn dog that I didn't speedily mainline with loads of mustard! They're my jam in a most obscene way! Mini Corn Dogs - these were FREAKISHLY delicious! We could have polished off a dozen, if we weren't trying to be "good"! Chicago Dog - My hubby gave these a BIG thumbs up! I could also see what all of the Chicago dog fuss was about! The freshness of the accoutrement really elevated that humble dog! I'm a fan! Fries - Yummy! Like Mickey D's, but a bit more interesting! Definitely fresh, salty, and crispy! Lemonade - Refreshing and sweet! Maybe a tad too sweet for us, but it had a lovely tartness to it, too! A lot of the reviews of this chain mention "guilty pleasure", and I have to add to that chorus! It was a quick in and a quick out, and, while there are, no doubt, plenty of fancy schmancy artisan Chicago dogs being churned out somewhere in this town (and we'll most happily try them all), we'll definitely be hittin' up the Wienerschnitzel on the regular, from here on out, when we're in the mood for some super-quick, super-cheap and downright tasty dogs! Thanks, Wienerschnitzel!

Yelp
So hear me out.... When you are really craving a chili cheese dog made to perfection... this is your spot to go to. It's a throwback from my childhood and it tastes just as magical today. I love them so much I have to eat them fresh in my car (don't judge me) They also sell their chili in cans for you to make at home. It's good... but not get it fresh from Winerschnitzel good. Trust me on this one. I apologize for not adding a picture of mine because it was still blazing hot when I woofed it down. Please except this stock photo for your consideration...

Mary S.

Yelp
Ordered a chili cheese hotdog, was medium size. Taste good, was sufficiently filled with cheese and chili which was thinner than how I would imagine it should be but all tasted good. Will try a Chicago next time.
google avatar

Jeff U.

Yelp
It's ok Nothing to get too excited over Not cleanest place I've seen Area is crazy busy and sketchy too Traffic around parking lot is awful Just ehhhh
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
I have eaten at a few of these and always good for a snack. Service was great food was hot and fresh had a hotdog and chili cheese fries everything was good and fresh.
google avatar

Toni S.

Yelp
Working really late but tired of hamburgers so we tried this drive through. The hot dogs were good and the fries were fresh. They would have gotten a 5 star rating if they had added cheese to my husbands #1 Chili dogs instead of adding cheese with no chili. I got the Chicago dog and it was good.
google avatar

Wendy R.

Yelp
We've been going to this location for years...only because there isn't one located where we live. They have always had great service and not once have messed up our order. They have specials going on and the food is always hot. Unlike other restaurants, the food is cooked to order and not sitting under a heat lamp.
google avatar

Lucy V.

Yelp
The chilli dogs are not worth it, but the jalapeño poppers are pretty good! The hotdog toppings are cool but the wiener itself is really tasteless and terrible. Sam's is your go to if you're craving a hot dog, but for the chili you'll have to hit up wendy's after.

Yelp
Lol, you guys know me. I love supporting local and I'm a foodie. So, I'm a little embarrassed about writing this review just because I've worked so hard for my reputation as a food critic... but... Wienerschnitzel is one of my guilty pleasures. We had them all around Southern California but now I only have 2 near me. The one up north and the one in San Marcos... Lemme just say, historically Wienerschnitzel's are not really "clean places". I definitely prefer driving thru. But like bruh... I love their chili cheese dogs, and BROOOOO... FREAKING MINI CORN DOGS EXTRA CRISPY. I really truly 110% without a doubt could sit down and eat 100 of them in one sitting. Seriously, if anyone out there wants to challenge me on this. BE MY GUEST. My messages are always open. Send me one, tell me the date and time, YOU BUY THE 100 corn dogs, and I will meet you there and I will eat every single one them... no joke.

Chelsea B.

Yelp
It upset my stomach and gave me the schnitzely sh!ts I would never go there again .

Yelp
Still a fan. After 8pm as usual, quickest service I ever got at the drive through (only one car ahead of me), and polite employees. I got the $3.49 Cinnabon bites again; they're not too pretty, but had lots of delicious cinnamony goo this time. Also tried their most expensive chicken schnitzel sammie, which has bacon, guac, and a spicy sauce. I'm not into hot sauces as a rule, but this one wasn't too hot and the guac cut it nicely. Another crisp chicken sandwich under $5--I'd order this one or the ranch classic again, no worries. I spent about the same as a 3pc chicken box with side and drink or the ubiquitous personal pizza, but WS has flavors I can't get elsewhere and are a good option for late night cravings or indulgences.

Koeseki S.

Yelp
Expectations weren't high to begin with, but I was disappointed by the food. The most egregious issue was the Mac and Cheese we ordered. It was very soupy, and there was very little actual pasta. It was more watery sauce than pasta by volume. To be honest, it was the saddest mac and cheese I have ever seen, and I'm including my old high-school cafeteria food in that comparison. The weiners were okayish, but very cheap tasting at about the level of a Bar S hotdog. Bland, and unimpressive. Better hotdogs and mac and cheese can be found at Quik Trip (gas station / convenience store)

Yelp
Well can some one said "Hot Dogs" !!! After missing it for several years because they do not have one in Houston !!! I finally get to this place. The place has plenty of parking !!! Offers both dine in and drive through experience. I choose the dine in experience. The line was short so no problem there. The cashier attitude was neutral, either good or bad if that make sense ?! So I ordered and they got my name and they got my name and that was all the interaction I had with the staff. I ordered the two chili dogs with no cheese and a coke. The price is good bargain for the food I got. The taste was everything I was looking for. I know it is weird, but I got this carving and it sort of hit the spot. The fries was even good !!! The drink was Pepsi products, although it could be Coke and that would complete the entire craving. Overall it is a good place to get a quick bite, service is fast and the food was great.
google avatar

JustOnce F.

Yelp
I have had better food at high school concession stands. We ordered and I would not recommend: Chili cheese dog- forgettable(hopefully) for sure the chili will is out of a large can you'd store for an apocalypse only. Cheese and dog undetectable. Cheese fries- fries soggy, tasteless and the cheese this time tasted sour and had a gluey chewy texture very gross overall. Cheese burger- bun was dried out, old and tough to get down and the burger patty was also dry and so thin. This could have been a veggie burger wouldn't have known. Avoid it. I would actually recommend Burger King over this trash yikes. The place is consistent, I'll give it that.
google avatar

Alisa S.

Yelp
Love the chili cheese dogs. A treat! These are few and far between so I have to stop by when I'm in town. Always delicious.
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
What an absolute joke that this restaurant is still drive up only. The Taco Bell across the parking lot is open and had what seemed to be a full staff. I'll find another place to get a dog from now on. Hard to enjoy a chili dog in the car, step up and hire enough staff. Good grief it's been two years since the lock down!
google avatar

Rashaka B.

Yelp
I wonder if the order taker actually listens to people placing their orders. She overtalks people. This place annoyed me today.
google avatar

King D.

Yelp
Is it cheat day? Are you craving chili cheese everything? This is your place. This is the only location in town.

Linda W.

Yelp
I deliver for a couple of companies so I'm in 20-30 restaurants a day. After seeing inside some of these places, I can adamantly say I would NEVER eat in some of them, and I feel sorry for my customers who placed orders at them. Having said that, I have never picked up an order from Wienerschnitzel for a customer, but I do eat there once or twice a month. Even during the worst part of the pandemic, Wienerschnitzel didn't drop the ball on quality. There were times when they weren't serving drinks, but the quality of the food never failed and as taxing as it was working ANYWHERE during that time the servers were always pleasant, and the service was as quick as they could make it. I give them kudos because my food never looked like it was just slopped on a wrapping paper. My order was always correct (lol but my son's wasn't). The chili is amazing as it has always been and now you can buy cans of it to bring home. Love this place. Inside looks clean. You can see employees washing their hands. Nice place.

Cameron J.

Yelp
Been coming here for 8 years and throughout all the staff changes the service and food is always amazing I will never stop coming best one in Texas
google avatar

Patricia H.

Yelp
Well since i was leaving Texas I had to come one more time. Drive thru was only 1 car so we hoped right in line. The hot dogs (beef) were amazing. I was so happy to find a place I callus have sauerkraut with my dogs since that's like my fav you know. I'm not a huge fan of chili but the chili here on a dog is amazing. The fries were hot and delicious , a great addition to my meal. When i visit i will be coming back.

Penny B.

Yelp
We had to be in the area at lunchtime so we stopped by here. We used to use it frequently. We were wanting chili dogs, but the indoor section is still closed so we had to do drive-through. So we decided on the corn dogs instead since chili dogs are somewhat messy. They do have the best corn dogs. These are comparable to the ones at the State Fair. They are actually fried and so they are authentic. The french fries are also very good. Still hungry for that chili dog, so we hope they re-open completely soon.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
I had a regular hamburger and plain and dry hot dog. You can either get a regular hot dog bun or a pretzel bun for an extra 60 cents, so I chose the latter. The food was good - not great, but also not bad. The food came out relatively quickly, and the wait staff was nice. The place is also clean. They offer menu items not typically offered at other quick service restaurants like corn dogs. They seem to have a menu similar to sonic, but you can eat inside. I did not have any soft serve ice cream during this visit, but I have had it in the past, and the Tastee Freez soft serve is really good. They have daily specials on the soft serve. You can also get coupons if you sign up via a text message or go to the their web page.
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
Chilli cheese errthang! So glad there's at least one location in Austin....Cause when it's cheat day....you know where I'll be.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
Showed up at at 9:50pm tonight and they had already closed the drive thru. Hours say 10pm. Im not one to show up late but I just got off work and left a little early to make the drive thru. Should change your hours if your employees don't want to work.

Leon E.

Yelp
Good food consistency. But very much lacking in service. Not even a small thank you. Covid-19 is over. So over. Open your dining room. Do those things then maybe You deserve 5 stars.
google avatar

Chelsea S.

Yelp
Cheap and delicious.. who can go wrong?! Love me some wienerschnitzel! Can we get one in south austin pleeeaaseee
google avatar

Yelp
Chicago dog was tasty, but bun was cold. Good flavors. Asked for extra mustard on the chili dog and this is what I got. Very messy but tasty.

Yelp
Gotdamn I love me some Weinerschnitzel! They have the best corn dogs and chili cheese fries! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Well.. Im rating this on FEEDBACK I recevied but I promised the employee running the show there that I was "so going to Yelp this place" because... apparently their boss SUCKS! Its like 10:30 @ night, and employee comes over to the drive thru window and says "Im sorry, I dont mean to just stand in the window, your food is on its way, but I need to steal some air!".. I was like huh.., "its all good". Employee says, "inside closed a little while ago and the manager turns off the a/c since the inside is closed, and its HOT in here!-- and we cant leave open any kind of window or door, so Im sorry, Im just really hot right now".. WELL, when I tell employee "Id have been complained!" and a few other choice words, employee says, "oh.. I cant. You complain around here and you get your hours cut".. Manager says "its store policy". You have GOT to be kidding me. I said "so yall are in there cookin dogs, and fryin fries in THIS heat, with no air circulating?" When I said I was going to Yelp them, and maybe even put in a fun call to their HQ, employee says "please do!". So as super plesant as this employee was, and they were rockin friendly, sounds like this manager doesnt give 2 craps about their employees.... Whats up with that??
google avatar

Jose A.

Yelp
Flash back of my childhood in San Jose, California. Food is still the same (good) and cheap. The fries were a little bit salty but I love the chili and cheese on everything. Service was fast and the place is clean. I wish they would open one in Round Rock.
google avatar

Gary K.

Yelp
Well kick my behind with a sledgehammer!! They re-opened!! I stopped by and ate a dog! Would I go back? Yes when I want to eat another dog!

Yelp
I'm a Wienerschnitzel super fan. My body has been fueled by their chili dogs since I was a toddler in stinky diapers. In my eyes a Wienerschnitzel Chili Cheese Dog is a fine delicacy that really should be served on rare china, not a wax paper wrapper to show it the proper respect. Inside each perfectly steamed hot dog bun (that's never soggy, just perfectly soft like a baby's behind) is a wiener, with unknown ingredients that will make your mouth salivate, wrapped in a slice of savory American cheese and then smothered with their world-famous Wienerschnitzel chili, appropriately sans beans (no tooting here) for us Texans. It's freakin' delicious! Super fans like me don't stop at the wiener. We know that Wienerschnitzel offers way more than just a good chili dog. How about a wiener dunked in batter and deep fried? Hell yes you want one them corn dogs! A pre-requisite of attaining super fan status is getting a corn dog stick tattoo. You know what I'm talking about. The scar from the burn from the wood stick when you try to bite off that last bit of golden batter that's hanging on for dear life! It's a corn dog rite of passage, a legendary ritual amongst all corn dog lovers! I'm not stepping down from my pedestal at fried wieners. As the original super fan of the world's finest chili dogs I must inform you that your best Wienerschnitzel meal is accompanied by even more chili...in the form of an order of Chili Cheese Fries! (said like the announcer of the Price is Right for the showcase showdown). Oh yeah! These fries...they're not like ordinary fast food fries...instead they're so perfect they rival the famous ones at that other fast food joint with the golden...you know whats. Alone, these fries are ahhhhmaaazing, but topped with the world-famous Wienerscnitzel chili and cheddar cheese, then what you got is a plate of ecstasy inducing drugless drugs! I'm not ashamed. I'm the lone guy in the corner you've been staring at who's guilty of moaning aloud as each fork with this raging goodness enters my mouth and engulfs my tongue. Ohhhhhhhhhhh! Ahhh! Ohhh! Yes, the place is amazeballs, now aren't you ready to join the super fan club? Oh...but a super fan doesn't hang out on Yelp, so get your butt in gear and head to Wienerschnitzel now. Hurry up, you know you wanna be a freak like me!

Yelp
Ambience - i used to live near here for years and drove past it every day. Back then it looked shady as f@#$. But it has a new look and it looks really good now. I never saw anyone in this place before so I don't know if it was closed or just scared everyone away. The inside was nice and clean with lots of seating and lots of color. The A/C must be broken because it was almost unbearably hot inside the lobby. But the new face lift looks really good and when I got there the drive thru lane was packed. Menu - fast food joint that obviously specializes in dogs. They have numerous amounts of hotdogs like Chicago, chili, sauerkraut and some other nice takes on what can come on a hotdog. They also have corndogs which is something you don't find very often. If you don't feel like a dog they have burgers and also chicken burgers. If you have a sweet tooth then you can also indulge in some shakes. Menu is actually kind of big for a fast food joint so there is plenty of options for you to choose. Service - came in and was greeted by a gentleman in his late 20s maybe early 30s. He was a really nice guy but seemed a little off. I cant quite tell what it was but it was just odd. It almost felt like he was hitting on me or was just in a mindset of giving zero f***$. When he brought me my food he asked if I needed any condiments and anything else. The service was good, if not eccentric so that was a good start with the new look of the store. Food - I got the #5 combo which comes with a chili burger, chili dog, fries and a drink. When I ordered this the cashier called out "burger" to the kitchen. The cook definitely was not pleased with this as he gave a gruff snort. Guess burgers take longer and aren't easy to make? Anyways I get my food. The fries were kind of sad. They were hot and fresh but they weren't cooked long enough as they were super limpy. So the texture and consistency of them was kind of like having potato flavored playdoh in my mouth. I unwrapped the burger and dog, and obviously they are going to be messy. I mean come on, having chili on anything is going to make this a fun sloppy time. The hot dog had a piece of American cheese put in the bun then the dog on top and then chili on top. Oh come on, this is nowhere near what the picture looks like. The hotdog was ok I guess. The chili is the standard "homestyle" that you get from like Sysco or Ben E Keith. It has on ok flavor but nothing special. The actual hotdog was the star, which I hope it would. It had a nice flavor that was actually surprising. So the hotdog was a sad attempt. The burger was very small. It is the size of a coaster or a cellphone. Pretty small but I did get a combo meal so maybe the meals with just a burger might be bigger. Idk. The burger was just meat, bun and chili. The patty was pretty small so I basically could only taste the chili. So there isn't really anything to be said about the burger because it was nothing. I actually didn't finish the burger because I had enough chili taste going on. Overall - for me there was nothing special or good about my food. All 3 items were pretty subpar even for a fast food joint. So my advice is get a corndog or one of the specialty hotdogs. Because they do have a good meat for the hotdog. I give the 2 stars for the service and the new facelift. As both were great but the food was pretty lackluster and disappointing.

Probably the worst chili cheese dog I've ever had. I posted a photo of it. The way they package their dogs ensures that most of the stuff you pay extra for remains on the wrapping. Also, I paid for and ordered curly fries. They gave me, seriously, a cup full of regular old fries. Fugggg this place and its weiners!
