The BEST Weinerschnitzel EVER!! I had the pleasure of getting a huge order delivered to us by the great workers of this location. First off we couldn’t have been more thrilled to chow down on all the goodies! We had hotdogs, chilli-cheese fries, corndogs, jalapeño poppers and they all arrived at a PERFECT temperature!! And Talk about DELICIOUS! 👌 A huge THANK YOU! If you haven’t stop by this location you’re missing out. Please make an effort to check them out! 🌭

This was hands down the best service I have received at any food place ever. I called in advance with a large order. I talked to Kevin on the phone and he was extremely helptul! When I arrived, Rachel welcomed me with a big smile. She was so kind and an awesome manager. Amy and Devonte made our food which was nothing less than excellent. The vibe in there was so fun and made you wanna dance while eating your food. Thank you guys for making our night!!!

I've been eating at their various locations for many years. Their chili dogs are amazing and 10 times better than James Coney Island in my opinion. They also sell these chicken strip dogs and I love those. Great food and great service.

The 1st. Visit was the best visit.since then, the food presentation dropped. Things didn't look the same. On my 1st visit, the Manager was there & everything was perfect. I'm still a returning customer. Lov this PLACE !!!

I tried the burger and chicken strips this time and it did not disappoint. The food is always great. Rachel was amazing and so nice to everyone.

Small little dive. But the service was amazing. The manager is as lovely and kind as can be. She'll make you laugh, make you feel like family, and always check on you to see if you're enjoying your visit.

The food is always fantastic. I have been coming to weinersnitchel for over 15 years grew up on it and it's been delicious at every location!..the service and the people are always so joyous I love it. Typically the locations are usually small but they do have a great ambiance about them it's like saying "hey I might be small but I have a big heart". Just love it

Had high hopes for this place as I have tried them before somewhere many years ago. The young lady that helped me was very nice. The food was disappointing and even with a coupon, I feel that it was higher than what I anticipated. Haha. Buns were not fresh, chili was meh and cheese was not the good kind of melty shredded cheese.

My gosh the worst fast food hot dogs I've her had in my entire life and the worst waste of money I've ever experienced. I won't give it 1 star because it's fast food for one. But also cause the service was good. The guy who took our order was very patient and helpful with menu. Food wise though. My god you can make your own hot dogs at home for better and cheaper. Very small wieners here so get the double if you do go to be even relatively full. They also are HEAVY with the mustard so if you don't like say so

I used to love eating at Wienerschnitzel in the Bellaire area as a kid. Of course that one is long gone. I was pleased there is a newish one on highway 6. I visited with the kids and we loved it. They have a wide selection of food including classic dogs but also chicken on a hot dog bun which is great. they also have plant based dogs which i ended up getting to try. very tasty and nice texture. i got the backyard (hot dog with hamburger fixings) and the chicoago style. We dined inside and the service was great. It is a bit of a drive for us but worth it. ps- they also have tastee freeze treats. kids loved the rootbeer and fanta floats.

Pure Nostalgia! Ate here back in college, regularly! Excellent and affordable prices! Wish they had more locations. Where else can you get Chili cheese burger and chili cheese dog combo! Food is hot and fresh. Let's not forget the tastee freeze and lemonades! True texas sized portions! Friendly service! Like a the love child of sonic, DQ & whataburger! Truely unique and menu has something for everyone!

I went to Wienerschnitzel for the first time during the rain and used the drive thru instead of going inside. I ordered the 5 mix and match hot dog / corn dog special and added a medium drink. I love me some hot dogs and corn dogs. When I tell you the corn dogs were super crunchy just like I like them and dang were they so good and hot. Mmm. I got my dogs with chilli and cheese and I was so surprised by how delicious their chili is and how it goes down so smooth. I was going to save two for the afternoon but I was not able to control myself due to how amazing they tasted and I was mad I didn't have more. The service was fast and I mean fast and they were extremely nice. I didn't go inside so I can't related to the atmosphere but if it is as good as their food. It's gonna be great. I recommend you hot dog and corn dog lovers.

I've been eating 'Chili Cheese with onions hot dog for 55 yrs...never disappointed! California now Texas wish there was one closer by 45 Frwy Houston Clear Lake

Yelpers........ It's not the fanciest place. There's only one in Houston. Buuut people please... You got to get a Wiener dog. Ok, So I'm from a small town and that's all we had. I used to get 5-6 dogs at a time. Amazing. They never sold the chili either, but now they do. I wouldn't say it's the best dog in the world. But if your looking for the basic dog. Just do it. You'll see what I'm talking about. The staff was pretty cool. He just stood there and listen to my story. Cudos brother. Thank you! But hey, go check it out. Don't expect the Porche, you'll get the VW. But it'll be the best drive you'll ever have.. Enjoy and peace out!!!

I have a fond love for the underdog spot. Especially one that disappeared years ago in this city! There are a few places to get the glizzy in town, but to have this one come back with a vengeance is great! First off: location. Placing this by a oil change place, Whataburger and a Walmart???? Nice! You have no choice but to see it! Second.....I really could have used those coupons that was in the bag before I ordered. (Sigh) The haul: Number One Combo (Two hot dogs, fries and drink) with a Chicago Dog, Chili Cheese both beef, medium fry and medium Watermelon Lemonade. The chili is Trell the star in my opinion. Right spice and no bitter taste to it. The Chicago Dpg was seasoned and topped with veggies that were amazing! The chili dog was a handful of goodness too good to pass up'. The fries is my only hang up. Good, but almost a dead ringer for McDonalds. Overall, I would visit again. It may become like one of those go to once in a while places.

Chicago dogs were pretty good. Bun was super fresh. Service was good. seemed like the dogs were missing something. Not sure what the sprinkles seasoned salt or whatever it is.

Nice hot dogs focus, fast food chain from California. Although the name is German there is no German food here. It was still fun to take a German friend to this place because the food was good for fast food stander. The service was good.

Have only ordered through Uber eats, but the chili-cheese dogs the corn dogs and the chili cheese fries always arrive hot & delicious

Food wasn't terrible, but had to eat outside because place had a weird smell inside that made me lose my appetite. It was a chemical type smell or like a strong odor trying to mask another odor.

Got the upgraded chili cheese dog and was disappointed. It tasted like a very cheap grade of hot dog was used, also the cheese wasn't melted. Get a chili dog at Checkers and you'll throw rocks at this trash...

Wienerschnitzel for real? OMG! Putting down some amazing Vegan Hot Dogs! Side note: I grew up in a small town in NM; we had a Wienerschnitzel. Loved going there as a kid. However, I would realize that WS is a rare spot later in life. Like they're not everywhere like I thought they were as a kid. Like literally, there is one in the Houston area! We were lucky to get to experience Vegan at WS. Overall great experience. No problem ordering; quick fast, and reasonable prices. Vegan Options: -Barbeque (OMG! so freaking good! Not a crazy bbq flavor fan on dogs but this was fire!) -Chicago -Backyard (ask no cheese) ****The Pictures show a regular Backyard. I was so excited that I didn't notice until I was ready to eat (after snapping some pics) ---I ordered a Chicago but got a Backyard. I shared with them the mix-up, they were very apologetic and fixed the order without any problems. Would def go back or stop by on trips when we see a WS! COVID Notes (We went through the drive-thru) -Indoor seating is available -Staff wore masks. -Customer service was delightful, safe, and helpful Thank you, Wienerschnitzel, for delicious Vegan Options!

Chili cheese hotdogs are great tasting. Stick to . Tried a hamburger, didn't taste good at all. Fish was like French toast sticks? Not a fan of fish stuffed in a hotdog bun? Over all hotdogs were the best. Will be going back for hotdogs and corn dogs as well.

I ordered the Double Chilly Cheeseburger and mini corn dogs, both on buy one get one free offer. The mini corn dogs were nice bite sized minis. The double chilly cheeseburger, was messy, juicy and tender. I did wonder if the addition of any greens would have made it a complete burger ?.

Family of 3...last trip cost almost $70. Used to go about on e a month, or so. Had fast food last night, and husband said "Anything except Wienerschnitzel! Not paying those prices again!" Went to Norco's Best.

Growing up in SoCal there are a number of Fast Food Chains, and a few one-shots, that are close to a religion for natives. Der Wienerschnitzel is one of them. I fled the state for Houston in 2012 so, when I learned there was one opened in New Caney, in Aug 2019.... One problem...It was in New Caney...On Bus & bike I went, I saw, I ate, and reviewed....and never returned...too damn far! I was promised new locations were coming to Houston itself.....soon. "Soon" finally arrived, at the start of this month... Living in SW Houston I was glad to discover this location was out on Hwy 6, at Westpark, reachable using either Metro 2, 4, and 82, to connect with the 75 which takes one to Westpark & Green Crest, followed by a 10 min. walk to Hwy 6. To say I was excited at the sight of the place and the menu would be an understatement, hee, hee! :-D Not the familiar shack with a walk-up window and outdoor only seating, but I was not complaining! The menu had all my faves...slathered in Chili, and the great Polish Sandwich. While there is limited seating inside, there is plenty outside, and plenty of parking for motorists. The staff was friendly and efficient. $12 later I camped out at a table, one happy camper! The food was all as good as I remember from New Caney, from the Chili Dog, the Corn Dog, and Polish Sandwich, even the Chili Fries, and I told the staff so. From what I learned on Facebook Der W had been in Houston some years ago, but I guess too many people could not get past their lifelong JCI addiction, and so... Now they are trying again, and just might stick around a while this time. The interesting thing about the location is that there is now a "Battle of the W's" on this corner....as their neighbor is that TX Fast Food institution whose name begins with a W. I told the crew that I fully expected them to give their neighbor on the corner a strong run for their money. :-D

As a California native I was excited to know there was a Wienerschnitzel opening near my house! A couple things- they used shredded cheese on my chili cheese dogs versus the sliced cheese and the onions were a little excessive, but in time things will improve! We had a nice sized order and they handled us pretty well. Cheeseburger was pretty good per my son Corn Dog was spot on!! Fries were as expected (hot and yummy) Tips: The watermelon lemonade is VERY SWEET Take advantage of the family meals if you can! Until next time

Was super excited seeing this open! Remember seeing this all over Cali but never had the chance to try it! Got the chili dog and the bbq brisket fries. Everything was just alright! Nothing to really rave about!

Dude. I came to this place for the first time in a year or so the other day with my dad. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I pull up to the speaker, and I have to order for my dad cuz he can't speak English, which is perfectly fine. It's the girl that took our order that was the problem. She was so unprofessional, talking to us as if we were her friends or something. Like, what? I ordered the fruit loop shake, and she asks "Which kind" and I paused, confused by what the heck that was supposed to mean. I said "The regular kind?.." Cause you know, it's a fruit loop shake. Then she says "You said vanilla?" I'm like bro how stupid is she? I just replied with sure, because my other shake that I ordered was a chocolate oreo one, so I put two and two together and figured they were likely going to put vanilla ice cream in it or something. So I said "Sure." and she asked me if that was all and I said yes, and she said "Aight." Girl you are at work. Act like it. Anyways, I pull up to the window and she hands my dad a plain vanilla shake. Did she not hear me say fruit loop shake? I was kind of shouting to the speaker machine cuz I was in the passenger seat. I'm sure she could've at least heard the fruit loop part, cuz she didn't get my shake wrong. Whatever. My dad just drank the plain vanilla, and I drank my Oreo one and it was good, so I guess two stars.

FINALLY! A Wienerstizel in Houston! Try the Pretzel bun, it's awesome! Finally they made it to my home town!

Historically (51+ years) good chili cheese dogs. Prices have escalated some since 1973 when they were $.19 apiece and you could get six for a dollar on Sunday. They still have volume discount deals. You can eat two and freeze the rest to microwave later. Friendly efficient staff.

We ordered a chili cheese dog. 2 mustard hot dogs, French fries and a rootbeer float! The chilli cheese dog was just okay, and so were the mustard hot dogs. Fries were good, but the Tastee Freeze rootbeer float was the star of the show, it was just as good as when I was a kid It's a place we will order again if we are not wanting alot to eat.

Went the other day. The young lady at the window had the longest fingernails I've seen! When she gave me the change back and those nails grazed my hands. Absolutely disgusting. So unsanitary. I won't be going back. The float was good though.

Great service. Yummy yummy. Can't wait for them to open up one in Katy. They taste just like they did years ago in the fries were nice and crispy.

I went to this restaurant which is a 15 min drive from my house...after confirming before arriving that they didn't close until 11 I arrived at 10:20. I was told "we only doing online orders" I go to try and find the site to place the online order and it is turned off... the employees provided no explanation to why they were not taking orders. This establishment technically closed at 10:30 today not 11. This would have been my first time eating here and for a first time experience it has left a lasting impression and I will likely never go back.

I always like to test a fast food business near its closing hour. I arrived approximately 30 minutes before closing time. I pulled into the drive thru, and was greeted properly! He helped me select a drink as well, so I could tell he wasn't trying to rush me in any sort of manner! When I pulled up to pick up my food, the guy was wearing a hot dog outfit, which made me smile and laugh sorta at the same time. Overall, food was excellent and the service matched!! I haven't been to Wienerschnitzel since 2005 when I lived in California! Thank you for finally coming to Texas!!! By the way, try their strawberry lemonade!!! I will be returning in the near future!

Great experience. So glad to finally have one of these in Houston. Hot dogs tasted like the good ole days when I use to travel to college etc. The chili cheese hot dog and burger combo is what I would recommended. Comes with fries and drink. A+

Really upset today because I was treated so rude by "Norman" I've been eating at Wienerschnitzel for 30 years. Being from Cali and seeing last week they opened one here in houston made me so happy that I drove 20 min for chilli dogs this morning on my day off. All I did was ask for a substitution of one item and I was spoken to disrespectful and with a Derogatory tone by "Norman" he said to me "that's not how it works" I kindly responded "I've done it before, I been doing this substitution my whole..." he interrupted me while talking to respond "we have been open Five months and I've been the MANAGER the entire time, do you want it or not" I understand I've been in houston for years now and maybe policy's have changed since I made this order last time, so if you can not do that substitution anymore I would understand. Actually really isn't that large of an issue for me. All I was going to say if I had been allowed to finish was "I've done it before, I been doing this substitution my whole life, is there a way to make it happen?" It could have been an up charge or it could have been a no either way it wasn't that large of an issue at all. But the way I was spoken to was not approached and now I'm sad because I won't be eating here anymore as long as that is the standards they have for Managment at this location. The franchise owner(s) might want to retrain his customer service and communication skills.
