Where To Do Fall Stuff Within 90 Minutes Of NYC

"Morristown, NJ; 50 minutes from Midtown Wightman’s apple-picking season is in full stride, and they have a bunch of other harvest season activities, too. Each ticket to their fall festival covers corn maze fun, pumpkin patches, and unlimited hayrides, plus entry to the orchard (apples not included). You can buy tickets online ahead of time for $25. Wightman Farms also sells a bunch of produce and plenty of goodies for a picnic. " - neha talreja, hannah albertine, carina finn koeppicus, molly fitzpatrick

I had been to this farm many times. Went this year and I was stunned by the price, lack of pumpkins, no apples and the traffic, parking was terrible. $25 per person to get in and pick a pumpkin. Not recommended. No pumpkins or apples seen other than the ones the farm placed on the floor

Google
The service is top notch! And the food is made with love and high quality. My favorites are the salads! They are sooooooo good! They have everything, veggie salads, pasta salads, the chicken and tuna salad is phenomenal. They come in perfect sized containers, I buy a couple for work and eat them for lunch. Perfect on the go meal and conveniently packed. I hope this place is around forever.

Google
It was too hot for apple picking, but the shaded hay truck ride was enjoyable. We got to see the beautiful farm. Next time I want to go when it's a little cooler and spend some time picking apples.

Google
We love our local farm! My family has been getting our CSA here for a while now, and it’s always such a treat. The produce is fresh, flavorful, and you can tell it’s grown with care. They also have a full grocery with so many great local and seasonal products. Every single staff member we’ve interacted with has been kind and helpful. We highly recommend their CSA! It’s such a rewarding way to eat seasonally, discover new foods, and support local farmers.

Google
Absolutely love this little farm! It’s busy! Get ready to stand in line but it’s moving!! Map out things you want or don’t want. But for the price one pumpkin and flowers included apples are separate and food of course is extra! But we love it and the food is delish and the kids had a blast! Loved the hay ride and the flowers are just stunning!!

Google
Pleanty of parking well organized, took a pretty long hayride dropped off in a pumpkin patch and then walked through the apple orchard. All the making of a great farm. Food stands and pleanty of seating .

Google
Very nice family oriented apple picking farm at Morristown, NJ. It was a good time for our small kids as there were many activities - hay ride took us through the big farm areas, the corn maze was great with Halloween themes, great selection of apples and pumpkins. The price was good for all these activities, the food wasn't overpriced either. Great place to take family photos. The hayride maintained social distancing but overall it was too crowded because it was the weekend. I would suggest going there on a weekday because social distancing can't really be maintained when its so crowded especially around the food stalls.

Yelp
I usually hit up Wightman Farms for Thanksgiving pies and my Christmas tree. Unfortunately my most recent trip for pie put a really bad taste in my mouth. They get BUSY for Thanksgiving, so of course the place is swamped. I totally get it and the day before Thanksgiving must be their busiest day of the year. You can call ahead to place your order to ensure a quick and easy pick up process which is super helpful. When I walked in I was a little confused about the arrow signs that led to the pick up area, so I asked an employee if he wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction just to be sure. He then proceeded to raise his voice and actually yelled at me for not reading the signs. Again, it's a busy time and that can be stressful. But this just felt like terrible customer service and really shook me up. I don't think I'll be giving them return business, which is a shame because they sell delicious pies. It'll be hard to justify coming back after being yelled at.

Yelp
Don't tell customers your cherry pie is made with real cherries. They were as canned as they can be. We asked and were told they were fresh however they were definitely not. Not a good look Wightman. And the quiche is better at Brownie Points in Summit. That said it was way better than the canned pie.

Yelp
I hate to write this review as we have been coming here for 10+ years for annual apple picking, but the pricing has gotten completely out of hand. We came last year and it was $25/person, and we were given a ticket to come back for pumpkin picking and one other seasonal event for free. Ok, expensive but fine... we also needed to pay for any apples we picked. This year, it's $25/person, even kids, with no ticket to come back later in the season and the prices for apples were raised to $3.69/pound. We pay, and no food stations are opened - no corn, no pickles, no sausages etc. They said it's "too early in the season" - so why are the tickets so expensive? We aren't interested in the corn maze or the tractor ride, which - they used to make these priced separately from the apple picking ticket. This is so unfortunate and frankly, money hungry. We returned our bracelets and didn't apple pick this year. They have a good farm store, but I wish they would rethink the apple picking. There are many other farms we will go to in the future, and they don't charge $25/person for apples. If you think this is just an "us" problem, the cars in their parking lot have dwindled significantly over the past few years. I get everyone is tight on money but raising your prices and doing nothing to improve what you're offering is disgusting.

Yelp
The best pie in NJ! Freshly baked daily. Our go to when we need to provide dessert. Then browse. So many things to try!

Anne S.

Yelp
I can't believe I'm giving Wightman's Farm only 2 !!! But this is a very different Wightman's... Where are all the apples? Few varieties and few apples. Prices are HIGH!!! Prices are HIGH for everything in the store. I miss the old Wightman's!
google avatar

Carol B.

Yelp
it's a joke of a pumpkin patch! just laid a bunch of SMALL pumpkins in field. And the prices were outrageous! won't be going there anymore!!
google avatar

Rick W.

Yelp
First off its not the price you see on their website. Its $25 just to enter and the cashier told me I would get a pumpkin and a hayride. The apples were $3.29 per LB. I was the first person to show up and was charged $25 i got nothing for that high price. There were many apples to choose from I got 4 lbs of apples which came to about $14. I wouldn't return too expensive.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to go pumpkin picking with your kids. We took our twins (21 months) and spent the morning going on hayrides, eating cider donuts, picking pumpkins, and even walked through the corn maze. There were several food trucks there when we went. A good way to kill a few hours with your family. Go early as it gets packed pretty fast.
google avatar

Marcelle M.

Yelp
While this is one of the closest apple/pumpkin picking farms in northern New Jersey it's rather pricey. This farm gets very crowded so definitely go early! We ended up parking in the building across the street with ample parking for free. They charge $25 for entrance into the farm which gives you access to the apple/peach trees, a 30 min hayride, and other activities. The apples and peaches are additional at $2.99/lb & $3.99/lb respectively. They could improve the signage of the types of apes throughout the farm, the farm is large and on a hill but as we were wondering and picking apples at most times we did not know which type of apple it was. For food they have a number of vendors selling grilled corn, empanadas, chicken fingers, burgers, etc. Additionally they make their own apr cider donuts for $6 for a bag of 6 donuts.

Yelp
Such a fun place to go to on a nice day! Enjoyed the pumpkin patch, hayride and corn maze. We got there early around 9:30am but in an hour or so the place was packeddd. Everyone working there was so nice. We paid for the $16 package ticket which included the above, a small pumpkin, and a donut. A bit pricy but we still had a great time and maybe would return next year for our annual fix of fall-y things!

Yelp
Do not go here. Overpriced. Rude staff. Last day of the Apple picking season and the only apples to pick are on the ground. My son picked up several apples. When we got to the pay station, we noticed that more than half of my sons apples were rotten. We ask that the rotten apples be removed so that we only pay for the good apples and they told us that it was a POLICY that anything brought to the pay station must be paid for - even the rotten apples. This is a Price gouging company that does not care about the customer. We not only had to pay for rotten apples at 3,29 a pound, we also had to pay an entrance fee (25 per person - discounted today because the only apples left are on the floor). The entrance includes a hay ride, a small pumpkin and no apples) I will NEVER go to this farm again and I will make sure to tell all my friends

Yelp
Has to be one of the top 3 places as far as farms in the fall to go to. They really go all out. They have things to do for everyone. Concession stands, food trucks, apple picking, pumpkin picking and my favorite is there food store. The store has literally every single fall treat you can think of. I bought apple cider donuts because I'm basic. But everything else they have looks amazing. They also have really unique decorated pumpkins out front. Only thing is this place gets absurdly crowded on the weekends so make sure to plan ahead

Yelp
Get the $10 Annual Pass per person and enjoy picking seasonal fruits and vegetables. Well maintained and friendly staff
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
After hiking with a friend, stopped by for some fresh cider. Holy cow, it's delicious. Also grabbed some beautiful fresh vegetables - better than what's in the supermarkets these days. And with the prices, why not get it from the farm? Also, the apple cobbler was amazing. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
The whole farm thing... it's nice, but it's not $25 nice. Fortunately I was with someone with a season pass and, maybe given it was a fall Saturday and already packed inside, I was able to wangle my way in for a much more reasonable $10 for just apple picking. Which is all I wanted to do, and you have to pay for the apples anyway, and it's not that cheap for apples, so yeah. Not worth the price if that's what you want, go elsewhere. But if you want the full farm experience with rides, kid stuff, etc., sure, this is a good place for that. As far as apples go, there are a number, but none of the rows are labeled. There are section headers every few rows but the apples seem to change more frequently than that, and the farther back (away from the trees picked clean by children) you go, the fewer labels you see. I picked what seemed like a decent cross section of various apples. Ate a couple as I went - you're allowed to eat as many as you can stand, and that at least is a nice perk for the price. Verdict: Decent date venue, better family-date venue (bring the kids), I would at least rank them above Alstede but there are others I'd visit sooner if it's just my own choice.

Yelp
I go here everyday to pick up something for lunch. Their soups are great , so are the quiches which are also sold by the slice. The homemade granola is fantastic as well as all of the breads. I have had almost every flavor so you can't go wrong. They are perfect warmed up for breakfast with butter. I recently tried a new almond butter by a company called Georgia grinders which is one of the best I've ever had. Stop by there is always something there that is wonderfully delicious!

Yelp
Reasonable pricing, great hayride & fun activities for the kids. We took home two great pumpkins & made great memories with our 1 yr old. They also weren't too crowded given we went on a Saturday. #highlyrecommended

Yelp
Very glad I visited Wightman's Farm on such a beautiful day. The ticket for entry is $20, which includes access to the corn maze, hay ride, and a pick-your-own pumpkin. The hayride goes around the entire property, which takes around 15 minutes. The view is amazing right now with the foliage. Social distance isn't enforced on the ride, and there was one other party except mine. The corn maze is bigger than many others, which makes it fun for adults as well. No farm animals, but enough activities that would entertain everyone! The store has a variety of homemade food, perfect for the fall (I.e donuts, cider, apples, pies, etc). The cider donuts are handmade, and not overly sweet. I recommend. They also offer various cheeses and even meat and cold cuts. Of course, lots of fresh produce as well. It's a mini supermarket, and you can definitely shop for dinners there if budget allows. The only downside I can think of is the bathroom situation. No physical bathrooms, just porta potties. They are relatively clean, but not there most ideal...

Yelp
Skip the trip and go to Riamede. Wightman's has upped the prices now to $25 per person for anyone over the age of 3 which means it cost $100 for our family to go apple picking, not even including the apples. This isn't a theme park. It's such a rip off and they hide the pricing on their website so by the time you get there, you feel trapped. But you're not - drive 20 minutes to Riamede which is more peaceful, beautiful and not a crazed zoo. Riamede is $6 per person and $1.99 a pound which includes the hay ride. We've been going to Wightmans every year since my first baby but 10 years later, no longer. They are taking advantage of their popularity and ripping their customers off. I heard a lot of people in line grumbling given they'd probably driven an hour to find out it's $25 per person. Take your money and spend it on a business whose owners still care about their customers and not just making $$.
google avatar

Briana W.

Yelp
This farm is beautiful, definitely gives Fall seasonal vibes. Good place to get some pictures, pick some apples, eat fall foods and purchase fresh good quality stuff to take home. The problem with this place is the price. You pay 20 dollars just to be there and then you pay to 2.99 a pound for apples then you have to pay for the apples itself once your done. I ended up spending nearly 40 dollars on apples! Pretty ridiculous. All the food trucks are also overpriced. Parking is also hard to find. It's not a quick parking experience. Great place to enjoy a Fall day but definitely overpriced. Make sure you come expecting to spend a lot of money.
google avatar

Yelp
Went apple and peach picking with family. Loved our experience. They have a store at the entrance of the farm where you can really baked goods such as fruit pies and quiches. They also sell cheese, jams, fruit preserves, apple cider and donuts. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back next year. Definitely recommend this place. Fun for the whole family.

Litzy C.

Yelp
Very rude staff and bathrooms are the most disgusting thing. It's so boring and barley have any good fruits.

Yelp
I went here on 10/13/18 with friends and had a great time! Saturday's and Sunday's are obviously the more crowded times to go; I went around 4pm. You can either park on the farm (preferred just in case you're carrying heavy pumpkins) or you can park across the street. They have 3 different pricing options; I went with the $20 option which includes apple picking. You get a cute reusable bag for you to carry your apples ( & use for groceries when you go home lol!) its a little over $2 a pound for the apples once you finishing picking them. This also included the corn maze, hay ride, pumpkin picking ( you can take one pumpkin home), one free donut, membership to the apple orchard which I could use until the end of the month & probably something else I'm missing but $20 is a steal! The only crazy area was the store. Super long line for the donuts which weren't that great. The apple cider was yummy though! They had other food stations at the farm as well such as ice cream, empanadas (one empanada was $4.50 not worth it), pizza, chicken tenders & friends, etc. Overall, my experience was great! I would say if you go on the weekends make sure you get there early so you get a good spot on the farm, you avoid long lines at the store & also the super long line for the hayride. Luckily I got on the hayride an hour before the farm closed and had no wait time. I would definitely come back for the delicious apples :)
google avatar

Sharon S.

Yelp
I came here with 2 of my girlfriends after a visit the Great Swamp and lunch in the area. This was a great find....and we didn't have to pay an entrance fee just to pick apples. That makes a difference for me since we don't have kids. We don't need the hay ride or the maze. So if you want to just pick apples, it's great too! Just pay for what you pick and you get a free bag! It was a beautiful day to go apple picking. So glad we stumbled upon it.
google avatar

Ivan S.

Yelp
This farm deserves at least 4 starts. It's a bit pricey in terms of admission and the actual picked produce. However, the price of admission actually includes a season pass as I understood. So, it's not bad if you're planning to return. The best part is that it's a lot less crowded than similar farms near NYC. They have the mazes, the hay area for kids, and the hay rides. One additional thing that's unique is the pumpkin slingshot, which is a lot of fun, but costs $1 per pumpkin for ammo.
google avatar

Natty C.

Yelp
I really liked this farm but they are on the pricier side and up charge everything. It was $7 per person just for Apple picking and more than $2.00 a lb. They have a store which had more overpriced items. I had a frozen apple cider which was delicious. Get it! But it was $3.50. Their apple cider donuts were just ok. Service was nice and friendly. Very packed on the weekend with super long lines. I'd try to avoid coming on the weekend if you can.
google avatar

Yelp
Wightman's Farms is a very nice family and friends spot to hang out for a day. If this is your first time here, go for the Ultimate Farm Experience. It comes with Hayride, Pick Your Own Pumpkin, Giant Corn Maze, Mazeland Mazes, Apple Picking, Tote Bag, Picnic Play Area and a Doughnut. Definitely worth it! There are tricky maze puzzles to keep everyone occupied for a little while especially that corn maze! Apples are very sweet and I heard from a friend who is a local say that the peaches were amazing too.
google avatar

Scott V.

Yelp
If your concerned about covid this is not the spot for you so packed we had to park 1 mile away and walk up to what i would consider a carnival not a farm. Prepaid $100 for four of us and left in 15 minutes unfortunately. If your looking for true farm experience not place
google avatar

Sandra Lorena V.

Yelp
I've been here twice and if it weren't for all the activities like food vendors, maze and pumpkin patch from last time (one time there was none..) I would rate this place just 2 stars. Primarily because it isn't the ideal place to go to as a group/family for apple picking. It is $7 per person for apple picking (not including access to the maze or pumpkin patch) and then the per pound price is a bit much. We were warned each red bag they give you could reach $50 if filled up. We felt the placing of signs to where the apples were, was misplaced. It was a maze in itself finding the correct apples to match the signs. Not to mention we went in early September and there was so many rotten apples already. I think the farm has improved and is now pretty cute and fun, but unless you are a 'PYO member' year round when they also have strawberries, peaches and nectarines, then I am not sure it is the best for just apples. Also check to see they have activities (Hayride, pumpkin smashing, etc) around, cuz as mentioned they don't always- even in the Fall.
google avatar

Alison C.

Yelp
My family has been going to Wightman's Farms for years. While we do not typically apple pick there, we always stop in for a cider donut and either warm apple cider or the cool slushie version. Yes, I said "slushie"!! Their donuts are made fresh and available plain, or topped with powdered sugar or cinnamon. (I would recommend the cinnamon.) They also sell various local products, such as jams, and their fresh produce. My only complaint (really a 3.5-star review) is that they occasionally run out of certain products, like warm cider, during the busy fall season. Whether for shopping, navigating the corn maze, pumpkin picking, or for any other desired activity, Wightman's Farms is a great family spot worth the stop.
google avatar

Shirley W.

Yelp
Came here this past Saturday with a few friends and family members to go pumpkin picking. Tickets were $16 each for a hayride, one pumpkin, an apple cider donut, and the corn maze, so a bit pricey in my opinion. You don't get to pick individual you want to do. Get here early because it is PACKED in the afternoon. The lines to get tickets were a bit long, but everyone was friendly. The hayride was a loop around the farm to the pumpkin patches (which is basically right by the entrance). I must say I was a bit disappointed by the pumpkins here. I understand that you get one per ticket, but my goodness these were tiny and just laid out on the ground. Not much of a pumpkin picking experience like other farms that we've been to. We did go past the apple picking area when we were on the hayride, and honestly it didn't look too promising. Personally, I don't think I would come back here for fall festivities next year. Price wasn't really worth it for me.
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
A great place, plentiful of apples even at the end of September! They also have a nice store with reasonable prices, a corn maze, and a tractor. Fun for everyone and definitely worth the trip!
google avatar

Selena Y.

Yelp
Including the $15 annual membership, this was probably the most expensive pick-your-own I've been to, but I thought it was still worth the trip. I came with a few friends for strawberry picking on a drizzly Sunday and we practically had the whole field to ourselves - the farm had rows and rows of the juiciest little strawberries to pick from and their own little farmer's market, which sold local fruits/produce and freshly baked pies and donuts. My friend tried a donut and loved the light and cakey texture so much that she went back for more...twice. Had a fun 1-2 hours here, I'll be back in the fall for apple picking!
google avatar

Pasquale R.

Yelp
Loads of fun and friendly staff! We went here for my sons pre school annual trip. They have lots to do for kids: pick your own pumpkin, mazes and tractor rides. They offer apple picking but we didn't have time. Their apple cider donuts were pretty darn good! They sell pies, cheese, jams and such. Worth a trip but they do get very busy. Place is huge and their is ample parking. Check out their website for current prices. ENJOY!
google avatar

Sam T.

Yelp
This farm is most definitely one of my favs. Great for apple and pumpkin picking. Also they have food like personal pizza pies that run between $11 & $13 depending what you want on it. In addition chicken tenders, fries and even empanadas, YUuUUUuMmm!!! Hayrides: $8.00 "Each Paid Ticket includes 1 Doughnut and 1 Pumpkin of your choice from their pumpkin field! Also, this year's theme is "All About Bees"!" They do offer several packages "$7 per person over the age of 3 for PYO membership and then $2.29 per pound $16 Package includes the cornmaze, other mazes, hayride, pumpkin and apple cider doughnut- per person $20 Package is all of that listed above PLUS entrance and membership to the apple orchard- per person." One other cool thing they have is Pumpkin/Apple slingshots. Get one in a basket and walk away with a large pumpkin of your choice. There is no smoking on the farm for obvious reasons so if you are a smoker have one before entering.

Yelp
A friend and I made an 11am reservation online for a mid-September Sunday. First, the road to get to the farm is backed up like crazy - you wait an extra 10 min + in bumper to bumper traffic just to get close to the farm. Then the parking is mayhem - it takes forever to find a spot and then you have to walk pretty far to get to the farm (not handicap accessible). The cops who are directing the crazy traffic do not wear masks. Secondly, when you get to the farm, there were SO many people that it was hard to understand exactly where we should go. When we found the area to pick up an apple picking tote, we realize that the 11am reservation we made had no purpose. Thirdly, it's just packed. Almost we saw was wearing a mask (not everyone), but hundreds and hundreds of people were there. Fourth, included in our overpriced $25 ticket was a pumpkin! Well, we weren't able to get a pumpkin unless we went on the hayride - the hayride was tiny and they jammed people in there with no social distancing. So, we didn't even get something we paid for since it was such an unsafe environment. I will say that, in general, it's a big and beautiful farm and there were a fair amount of good quality apples and peaches. But during these times, I really would advise looking to go to a smaller/less popular farm that doesn't charge you so much for an unsafe experience.

Yelp
Nice place to go with kids. Expensive day for just picking apples. Food is on the pricey side as well but it's a nice local activity when the weather is nice. Not enough photo spots for cute fall pics but you can make it happen

Yelp
I have always coveted find in gems like family farms and supporting local farms and businesses. I had thought that last year I had found my favorite NJ farm but I finally decided to give Wightman Farms a visit when I read about their Fall Festival and had to give it a shot. When I visited for their fall festival, it was 25$ per person that included parking and a wristband that gave you full access to everything on the farm. They offered a fun wagon ride around the farm, a pumpkin patch where you could pick one to go, an apple orchard, corn maze, other mazes, and other games like a pumpkin sling shot and more. They also had a pumpkin stand full of pumpkins to the brim and an amazing little store that was stocked full of local products. I got their assorted donuts and hands down they are now my favorite apple cider donuts I've had to date. I cannot wait to go back again and again as this spot as a special place in my life that's perfect for families and children. A true gem that offers a wonderful spread of activities for the whole family. 16/10

Christine G.

Yelp
I was in awe of the selection and attention to detail..... the pies are incredible, great family run business. First timer not my last by any means xo

David G.

Yelp
Eight years after my initial review, this needs an update. Prices are even worse. $25 per person. You can no longer pick and choose whether you want the hayride or to go through the maze. You are buying it all. And it no longer includes a donut Now we simply come for the pumpkin catapult and to get some food from the vendors. Still a great time, but it's sad they price themselves like Legoland
google avatar

Helen M.

Yelp
I love their farm store. The Blueberry Crumb Cake is absolutely divine! The Apple Crumb is amazing as well. I've never visited the farm to do my own picking, $20 a person is a bit too steep for my budget.
google avatar

Alem C.

Yelp
I made a spontaneous decision to take the hour drive to Jersey with the kids to go pumpkin and apple picking, it was the best decision I made. When we got there and it was endless fun, to the point we were there for five hours and it felt like two. There were still apple on the trees a (a week before Halloween), a hay ride (which is amazing and for anyone who likes scenery a beautiful sight). The corn maze gave me a little anxiety because it stayed true to the word "maze". The donuts, grilled corn, etc was mouth watering. I definitely will be going back for years to come.
google avatar

Carolyn F.

Yelp
Be very careful. They charge $7 per person before you can start picking, then charge more for the fruit you pick. This has never been an issue for us because we have always been able to find fruit. But today, after asking multiple people multiple times, we were never told the truth, that we would be paying $28 to walk into the farm and would come out with nothing. They could have told us there were no pickable peaches. They could have just been honest about what was available
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
We really wanted to get out of the city and enjoy the day, pick some apples, go through the corn maze. The tickets were $25 per person. We left after an hour because it was so full and people picking and on the trail were not wearing masks or social distancing. I felt like it was a bunch of kids running the place with no one enforcing anything. Very disappointed after paying $25 to get in.

Yelp
let me say, their donuts and cider are fantastic. but their staff is so rude. we asked for one cider and changed our minds and wanted a second one. we asked for the second one and he just stared at us. when we asked for another (repeating ourselves) he snidely said that we could have just asked him instead of just standing there. then the cashiers were so busy chatting that they didnt even help anyone until someone woke them up and then it was such a bother for them to help us. they were rude and didnt greet you. dont you dare touch the corn too much because the lady on the floor comes at you and rudely tells you that they have nothing but yellow corn. its not that she said, it was how she said it.

Yelp
Getting 4 stars because of the cool pumpkin slingshot. $2 buys you 3 softball sized pumpkins that you launch at a barrel, get it in and win a button and a free full size pumpkin. According to my sister this place is a check book buster. The farm charges for each activity and section. Wanna let the kids play in the corn kernel sandbox? $5 each. Pick apples $ each, and so it goes. They spent a full day there however and had a great time although she kept coming back to how much it cost. So the price for activities is costing a star. It's a cool place, well organized and clean. I wouldn't make it a tradition to go here, but would and have recommend it to others.

Yelp
We hit up this farm for fall apple picking. The draw of this place is it's proximity to NYC metro area. However that also contributes to the main problem in that it is crazy crowded! First off they charge for everything. Entrance to the apple orchard, apples, hay ride, corn pit etc etc. On top of that every activity has a minimum 15min line. It just felt like we were paying to wait in line. When we did get to the orchards there weren't many apples left to be picked. And the ones we did get really didn't taste all that great. The skin was way thick and had residual pesticides on them. Final verdict: Fun setup for the family... not really their fault it's overcrowded but they sure can manage it better

Yelp
We've been to u-pick here before and it was a really nice option in the area. We go today to learn it's $25 per person (!!!!) to pick apples. AND you still have to pay for the apples! For a family of 3 that's $75 (plus the cost of apples) to go apple picking. But it includes a hay ride where you can cram in with 10 other families to slowly drive past the apples. It's still covid, right? Come on Wightman Farms.

Yelp
A quaint place to go for different seasons, especially autumn and around the holidays but beware, they'll be happy to rip you off. I decided to have a cup of hot chocolate at $4 which I thought was way too expensive, but 'tis the season, it's the Sunday before Christmas, it's a festive thing to do. I grabbed a cup to pour it in, and it barely fit under the spout and I could not even fill it up. It tasted like warm chocolate milk but whatever, it's a small local business and I want to support them. The lady who rang me up was not very friendly and I interacted with her a few times, asking a few questions while I was there. She decided to ring up my "hot" chocolate for $8 saying you grabbed the large. I said that they were the only cups over there, she looked over and said oh, I forgot to put more out. I said $8 huh? I couldn't even fill it up! Whatever, have a great holiday, I won't be back again.
