Tropical spot for creative Hawaiian & American dishes & tiki drinks, plus patio seating.
"This sprawling Folly Beach destination is filled with Hawaiian vibes, so of course there’s poke. The restaurant’s version has a jasmine rice base and is topped with avocado, tobiko, seaweed salad, and either tuna or salmon." - Parker Milner
"Although it’s decorated like a tropical vacation fever dream, Wiki Wiki Sandbar fails to inspire Post & Courier critic Hanna Raskin. She states, 'Beachgoers who jam the indoor-outdoor complex this summer will likely be too besotted by rum and portholes framing internally lit pufferfish to notice, but Wiki Wiki’s dishes and drinks are a bit of a mess.' The crab cake sandwich is dry, the Spam katsu is too salty, the salad is wilty, the fries are lukewarm, egg rolls are greasy, the tuna tempura sandwich is too sweet, the poke is overdressed, and the macaroni salad 'has a lifeless texture and bland character that usually requires mass production to pull off.' It’s not all doom and gloom however, as Raskin notes toward the end of her review that the menu recently went through updates and the Spam katsu is gone and, '[e]ven the mussels, seated in a buttery ginger broth, seemed plumper with the restaurant drifting back on course.' Perhaps by summer, Wiki Wiki will have caught up with expectations." - Erin Perkins
"Wiki Wiki Sandbar will have five rooms with different themes and works from local artists. Expect South Pacific-themed dinners, festive drinks, live music, and weekend brunch served in each unique space. Think slow-roasted pork, a pu-pu platter, and Spam sliders." - Erin Perkins
"Find South Pacific flair on Folly Beach with the opening of Wiki Wiki Sandbar." - Erin Perkins
