A nice little park to walk around in with a tennis court & posts to hammock in. Clean and well kept. Love the quietness this park has. Small wooded area, too, with a trail not very long but still. Give it a look if your im the area :)

Fun for the whole family, in a peaceful area of town with nice partly wooded walks. Lots of sun and shade. From sports, sunbathing, kite flying, cooking out, park walks, hammocks, dogs, live music, and even wedding photography. The heart of east town breeds artists of all kinds. And this is only one of many great places in east Grand Rapids. Find your places and save them

Went there since we wanted to take my niece and nephew to a splash pad in the heat. Playground and sitting areas were great. Some in the shade and others in the sun. I would have given it 5 stars, except there aren't any interactive activities on the splash pad, just the water coming out of the sprinklers/fountains.

Nestled in a historic neighborhood next to Aquinas College, Wilcox Park is a gathering space for neighbors. Here's why you should visit:
1) Space: It's a large park with lots of green space, a playground, a community center, courts and a mural. There are restrooms and working drinking fountains,.
2) Amenities: My toddler loved the playground. There are two parts to it and a merry-go-round and swings.
3) Art: The mural depicts Michigan's wildlife adding color to the space and entertainment for kids.
4) Cleanliness: I find the park clean. On a Saturday morning, we saw staff diligently pick up trash and empty the cans.
