My mother and I like having a spot in the summer in which we can catch up on a Sunday, seat and reminiscence of life while cracking and eating freshly steamed Crabs. We find. comfort coming each summer to Wild Country Seafood. We like ordering the Steamed crabs each time we come and also the shrimp combo which has lightly battered Shrimps that are fried, super crunchy and delicious; Hush puppies and fresh Coleslaw salad. What keeps us coming back is their fresh seafood. the customer service is outstanding and they continuously keep the tables impeccable. Even if it’s a bit busy at times, they always make sure you are feeling welcome and taken care of. Thank you!

One of the best seafood experiences I've ever had. The best crabs and some of the best oyster's I've tried, for amazing prices. Loved the whole experience and this is something you won't find on the west coast. If I ever find myself back in Annapolis, I will absolutely be coming here.

Wow, what a great find to just walk a few steps over here after a nice boat ride to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse from the maritime museum (definitely a little hard to find and only a couple of parking spots). Not fancy at all (no view of anything but the parking lot), but they have some really nice tables setup outside with umbrellas and condiments and napkins and everything was very clean. I will also say, for those who are used to eating seafood outside and the instant flies that normally find you, we saw hardly any flies while eating which was nice. The inside has all the fresh seafood on display and a cooler with some drinks (but no inside tables). You order (most of the menu is fried) and then wait outside at your table and they bring your food. We probably waited 20 minutes for our order, but it was worth the wait. Probably the best hush puppies we have had in years (with actual corn kernels in them). The fries were excellent beer batter crisp fried. Prices were very reasonable (but seafood is inherently more expensive than normal food), and we were very pleased and would be happy to come back the next time we are in the area.

The food is really good here. I enjoyed the mussels, clams, crab, French fries and the awesome oysters on the half shell.

Delicious!! After visiting the Maritime Museum, we walked around the corner to find this tiny but wonderful little “crab shack” seafood store and restaurant. The food is super fresh and everything was delicious and expertly fried. Crunchy and not oily! We shared a combo platter and a basket of onion rings. The crab cake was amazing! The sodas/water super cold! Note that you will be sitting outside, and likely will have to share one of the 4 table. Lots of takeout. Parking onsite is limited, street parking available. It is accessible ♿️, but the terrain is - bit bumpy and uneven - and one will be going over crushed shells.

Well,I drive 50 mins to enjoy the food there. Everything is very fresh, oysters are big, worth the money and time. It's a family-owned business, they catch the fish, cook and serve by themselves, and they are very kind too. Highly recommended! Thank me later ☺️

I found this place by accident walking back to my AirB&B from the Annapolis Maritime Museum. The food was awesome. Family run hole in the wall. Fishermen that bring their fresh catch and deep fry if for you. Ocean to table. There's no need to go elsewhere. Picnic tables outside or pick up. You won't be disappointed.

What a gem! Three of us had dinner here on a beautiful, breezy evening. This place serves delicious seafood at unbelievably reasonable prices. Tonight, we had steamed clams, clams strips, hush puppies and delicious soft shell crabs.

Great crabs which are topped with a bunch of old bay seasoning. Did not know this but if you sit down to eat the price is an extra $10 per dozen crabs for extra fees. A dozen crabs for $30 was still very worth it, especially of how fresh it was. We had also tried the crab cakes, fried shrimp, and broiled rockfish fillet. The rockfish was surprisingly so much better than we had expected. Food was great but the downside of this place is that there is no bathroom and seating is outside only. We sat down during a really hot day and our food was swarming with flies.

The most amazing seafood place to get freshly caught Maryland blue crabs at best prices! We stopped going to Cantler's after finding this place. The father and son duo does it properly. Have much respect for this family business as they are such a hardworking, honest people. Great people! Their scallops are amazing too!!

What a beautifully delicious hole in the wall. Leaving Annapolis and was told this was the spot to grab crabs to go. Reasonably priced, locally owned, and tasty. It was just that, my mom says the crabs were sweeter than she's had before and was super pleased with the taste and preparations. shrimp platter was pretty standard but flavorful and crispy. Inside it's pretty small and a few tables outside. You might even miss it as it's in the cut.

Food & Service excellent. No frills, just great service and food cooked right. Picnic tables if you want to eat on site, but first come first served.

Affordable food with good quality, u won't get the same level of food and taste for the same price. Fatty oysters, crab cakes are bomb

This tiny seafood market and restaurant has the best oyster po boy sandwich, in my opinion. It's a stone throw from the Maritime Museum.

Absolutely Amazing crabs!! David is a must to say hi to! Extremely great service! It's a great lil while in The wall! Parking isn't great, we parked next door and waited for a table and had amazing dinner of 18 crabs! Best prices in town too!

The food was on point! The oysters tasted so fresh and the softshell crab was delish. Gotta be lucky to find parking and a table but one can be :)

Craving some fried seafood, especially shrimp and my wife found this place. I was skeptical at first because it took a minute to drive down to the water through some neighborhoods. Definitely no thrills, but the prices are right, the portions get the job done, and the food is fresh & delicious !!! One man show when we went, friendly guy who greeted us as we came in and took care of the ordering and the cooking. No inside tables, but a counter by the window worked out (no other customers when we arrived). There are tables outside, but too chilly in January. Loved the Fish & Chips, Shrimp Platter, Hushpuppies- the slaw was unique & very good. Definitely worth the visit and way better than more expensive seafood spots.

I found the crab cakes I've had in many a places on the west coast was dry... the first bite of the crab cake... wow.. i was thinking this in fact was legit crab cake.. the rest of the seafood platter was just as good.. moist interior with perfect amount of crunch on the exterior... friendly service and a good deal of food for the price. Limited seating though.. most patrons appear to pickup and go

It's GOOD! Lots of work if your family has kids, you have to open it for them. The crab took a rather long time, but it was good. The fried clams were delicious and I highly recommend! Staff was really nice, but the food took quite a long time to get out to us. Its outdoor dining so you can take that into account. I definitely recommend to someone who's willing to work for some food :)

We people say this is a no-frills place, they are telling the truth. The food is the frill, fresh hot seafood. Fried Shrimp were huge. The only reason they didn't 5 stars is everything was a tad too salty.

Fantastic food! Worth a visit here whenever you're in the area. Crab cakes are superb.

Called for carry out steamed crabs. Large were available and reasonably priced. Set a time for pickup. All went well, ready on time, and the crabs were heavy and perfectly prepared. First time here but will return. Highly recommend.

The freshest seafood anywhere! Oysters are big and delicious, clam strips tender and sweet steamed shrimp!

Food is caught by the store themself so it is very fresh. Very delicious and no regret to come

No frills only outdoor seating and diy cleanup but fresh amazing seafood that isn't crazy with the Old Bay! Definitely one I will be back for! Heard it can get busy but lucked out due to the rain wasn't crowded at all.

Best raw oysters we've had this trip. Came twice. Huge, healthy, meaty. The cocktail sauce is a little light though. I like a bit more horseradish bite.

This place is dangerously close to my office! But it's ok because their prices are great!!! The food was amazing and super fresh. Really cute outside area to eat. I will be back bc there is so much more I want to try! The oysters and rockfish look really good

We visited Annapolis for 4 days, we ate at this place every night. The food is fresh, it is reasonable, and it was delicious. The family that runs this business is very nice. This is a no frills place. There are two picnic tables in the parking lot, and you order over a counter. If we were there a week, we would have eaten there every day. It is that good, and we are already missing it. Thank you Wild Country, we'll be back for sure. I give a 5 star

Great food and service at this locally owned and operated estalishment. The fried oysters and on half-shell were some of the best I've ever had (may be the best!). the fried oysters were lightly battered and served with coleslaw and fries. They were perfectly fried and steaming hot when served. The half-shell were huge! I had to cut some in half. All served with incredible cocktail sauce and lemons. Sat at a picnic table outside on a perfect day while reading Vanity Fair. This may become my "escape" place for late lunch!

Local seafood store that does a very nice job with a limited menu. Dining is outside with 4-5 picnic tables on a first-come basis. I had the crab cakes which were good - they use flake crab meat so there is no "chew' to them. They give you two nice sized cakes with french fries and coleslaw. My wife had the broiled rockfish filet which I think was a great choice. A nice size filet with veggies and rice, the fish done perfectly. This is very good no-frills dining, absolutely worth a try.

Nice and well hidden gem with great food and great prices. I found this place on one of my many excursions in Annapolis looking for new fishing spots when the sudden urge of seafood hit me. I decided to dial my order in knowing that their could be a wait but to my surprise my order order was ready as soon as I entered 20 Mins later. Wanted to spread it around so I tried three different items for the family and I. The crab cake sandwich is a solid 8.5 out of 10. The fried oysters have to be a 10 out of the 10; The size, quality, and freshness only add to the fact that they were fried to perfection. I didn't get a chance to try the cole slaw as I was pretty full after the oysters...I am not a big fan of French fries unless they are home made so next time I may consider the cole slaw or other sides. There is outdoor dining but it may be a tad cold that but the parking lot is a good size so that you can eat in tour car if you like. It's a neighborhood spot that offers a unique seafood touch on the run style. Customer service was fine by my standards, I entered and was greeted. The place feels more like a seafood market and or seafood carry out. Either way it's worth a 25 min drive and every bit of the $30 dollars I paid for 3 meals.

Annapolis SHOULD have a place like this on every block, but they don't. They just have this one. It's a seafood market and also a restaurant for casual eating to-go or at one of their tables. You have the typical fried platters, steamed seafood and raw seafood. You have to try the oysters. Fatty's Patties are big 'uns and priced fairly. We've gotten a lot of other items as well. Fried clams are good. French fries are good. Rockfish bites were nothing special but weren't bad at all. Fast casual fresh seafood. All they need to serve is beer to go with them, but I bet they don't mind if you bring your own. It's pretty casual.

These guys are the BEST! They have the best Chesapeake Bay seafood around! The seafood is so fresh and the service is second to none.

We came here after kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay inlet near Annapolis. Delightful family run place with a little boy helping to serve dishes! We got a combo seafood platter which I neglected to see was deep fried. While I usually prefer grilled seafood the crab cake was full of meat, the fish flaky and soft, and the shrimp/scallops firm with texture. We also got the very popular soft shell crab which had tons of eggs (!!) and a dozen oysters on half shell. I have never seen such giant oysters in my life! No bathroom use due to CoVID sadly. Outside seating with umbrellas, and condiments on table with sanitizer or to go in little packets.

Ecstatically good food, with very charming and down to earth service. The oysters more than earn the Patty's Fatty's nickname-- if you love small and briny oysters they may not be your favorite but for the meaty oyster lover this is legit as good as it gets.

This place is truly a gem. It's a seafood market and they cook seafood on prem. The food was perfectly seasoned and the portions were great. Everything they prepare is locally sourced which was a plus. The staff was pleasant and the service was amazing. They even have a quaint courtyard to dine in should you want to eat right away. It's definitely comes highly recommended and I will be going again.

Great family ran business. No frills and it's not needed. Simple and solid. Fresh fish caught that day and served to you. Can't go wrong!

Wild Country, (the name just has a familiar ring, or maybe the NY'er in me & I just likes saying it!) So, "wild country" is off the beaten path, in Eastport, so to speak (i.e off the main drag) tucked away behind a church, near the marina, you wouldn't know it was there unless you're in the know; so let me put you on! It's but a stones throw, walking distance to the maritime museum (500 ft) if visiting, and want a quick Nosh or want to call it in. If you can't find it your in the right area, just pull into the gravelly driveway or call if lost. It's hidden, like I said. Longitude and latitude sold separately. They serve FRESH, made to order seafood. (Note: It's more of a fish monger counter so most order and take home or grab a table al fresco in the adjacent parking lot with shaded tables in the summer, right out front (weather/ season permitting,) for you to pull-up. What's Good? Steamed Crabs, (Patty's) Fatty's Oysters- which are huge, Crab cakes, soft and hard shell crabs, clams on the half shell, muscles, Scallops, Shrimps, Tuna, Rockfish and whatever the catch is that day. You can order an assortment of fried baskets like Fish & Chips basket (FYI: not sizable, more like fish sticks- just so you know), calamari, clams, hush puppies and chicken fingers for the kids. Been here, once before and the fattys oysters are huge so go for broke! A lot of the restaurants serve the same and charge for it. Get them here. Cheers I enjoyed my little clams with a little fold up chair, my pup and my beau on a lovely 72° afternoon with an amazing view and incredible breeze.

Pretty much a gamble if you are coming in from out of town with the intentions to eat there, because the picnic tables are first come first serve. It feels odd to do this but you kind of have to hover near the picnic tables waiting for people to finish eating. Ever wanted to feel like a vulture? Congrats now you get to live out your dreams. Pretty much everything is fried on the menu. But then you have your steamers too. We all decided to just get fried items. Fried oysters, fried combo (comes with clam strips, a crabcake, a fried fish, fried shrimp), and calamari. Portion sizes were good but the problem with everything being fried meant everything began to kind of taste the same. I did like the crabcakes and the fried oysters.

For Fresh Oysters in season - best low key hidden gem in Eastport - Annapolis - Wild Country Seafood! Fresh Raw Oysters on the Half Shell, Fried to Order and / or taking a Bushel home this is my go to! Only picnic tables outside - nothing fancy but the service & freshness will more than impress! Enjoy! Call before going - seasonal hours!!

Fresh, Fresh-catch, Fresh from the boat (our blue crabs were, reserved it to come back at 4p when the boat gets back). Husband and I went back 3 times (there are a lot of food choices in the area!)the 30h we spent in Annapolis. We had rockfish, oysters, jumbo shrimp, crab cake sandwich ...everything is fresh and delicious!! Ran out of calamari, crab cake almost ran out, we missed on soft-shell crab, Only outside tables.No frills ambience, very laid back and clean. This gem of a place is run by a local family, the young boy and young man who took care of us the 3x we went were very nice and gave superb service.

We visited Wild Country Seafood on a whim, we had looked at 2-3 restaurants before coming here and all of them had 1+ hour wait. We really wanted fresh seafood and I'm so glad we found wild country seafood. Now don't let the outer appearance fool you, yes it kinda looked like a hole in the wall, kinda shady, kinda unsure if you really want to go there. But honestly don't let any of that fool you, we went in, and it looked like a typical seafood carry out, little small cold fridge filled with seafood, and a drink fridge. A small menu hung on the wall. Nothing fancy just simple and casual. They had 4 bench tables outside with umbrellas with condiments on the table and plastic utensils. We ordered a single crab cake, a chicken tender and shrimp basket, and a dozen raw oysters. When I ordered the oysters the gentleman did caution me and let me know that the oysters were large, I thought he meant they're a little larger than usual. Still went ahead and ordered a dozen oysters. As we were waiting a little girl working there ( yes it's a family ran business, she was better than most waitress and waiters I've had), said we have only a couple tables but it's okay if you ask if anyone minds sharing a table, so we did, we shared it with another couple and their dog, super friendly. Our came the oysters and our baskets... the oysters were the size of my palm, my whole palm. These oysters were huge! I should've listened but thank god we split them. They were so delicious, so fresh, and so so good. They were the best oysters I've had by far. The crab cake was really good, a nice size, not a whole lot of filler, I think it was larger than what they said it was. Fries were nice and hot, crab cake had a nice crust on the outside, everything was super fresh. Chicken tenders were huge, I think there was 4 of the tenders and about 6 shrimp, they were nice big shrimps too. Overall I'm so glad I came to this place. Forget going anywhere else, next time I want oysters I'm coming here! So worth it!

Long wait for mediocre food. 6 in our party and 4 of us were done eating what we ordered before 2 even received their order. One man operation and he didn't seem at all bothered that food was served in a staggered order. Fish & chips were just ok, onion rings very good, clams too chewy to eat. No veggies at all.

Food was excellent. And quick considering the amount of people who were waiting. Could use a couple more picnic tables.

This is the to go place if you love seafood! It's literally sea to the table! The only downside is there's not enough tables. They probably have around 4-5 tables. Gotta wait a long time for a table.

Ordered fried oyster platter (8 oysters) and Rockfish sub. It hit the spot! Loved the juicy oysters and hubby liked the rockfish sub. Definitely come back here again! I wanted the soft shell crab but it was out of season. Next time!

A perfect lunch. My crab cake sando was perfection, as was the accompanying tomato, the cocktail sauce is exactly like my mothers homemade one I ate growing up. Outdoor seating is cute and dog friendly. Might go back for dinner in a few hours and get a dozen steamed crabs

Oysters are huge and fresh. Shrimp platter was good too. Shrimp was not over done and fries were crispy. Great price. I would recommend coming to this place than going for other expensive oyster places. You might have to wait for a while for the food.

What a great place! I love finding places the locals come to eat and this is definitely the place. Fantastic service and even greater crabs.
