Wild Crab

They didn’t have plates! Had my party of 10 eating our appetizer off of napkins!! Like what kind of restaurant doesn’t have anything to eat off of!!! The wings were good. The garlic butter snow crab literally taste like nothing! And the boiled eggs tasted spoiled. I will not be back.

Please note that management has changed & so has my review of this place… the prices are never accurate anymore. The sides are proved extremely high. The happy hour special isn’t as good As the original. They now add gratuity automatically so the service is none existent… the drink menu is priced for top shelf but you will receive bottom shelf liquor, when you have to pay $12 for taka vodka the only thing your guaranteed is a headache. This once was my favorite neighborhood eatery but at this point the management, service, and prices are all trash…… my original review is below however it has completely changed…. This place is amazing!! Trust me bypass all the other crab spots for this!! The flavors are amazing & not to salty! Variety of drinks are great!! They even have a patio which is a plus!

This is what I was served for take out. Imagine my disappointment when I got home. Wish I could get my money back. I’m definitely never coming back.

My FAVORITE seafood boil place in all of Atlanta and yes I’ve been to most of them. The food is excellent and the customer service is superb. The prices are fair and the ambience is comfortable. Highly highly recommended.

A lot of these type seafood restaurants have been popping up all around the city. Some are really good and some are just alright. Well, I'm glad that this is the one we got in downtown Decatur. Everything was nice. The hostess was really nice. My server, his name escapes me, was very attentive. The food was good, correct, and it came out pretty fast. I've been here a few times and I'll be coming back again.

This was our first time dining here and it was excellent the staff was friendly. Food was fresh and hot. Drinks were good. Look forward to coming back again.

We had a great experience at this location!! Our server Tonya was so accommodating! She was helpful and also gave us the space we needed! (You know how server can be overbearing) she was fantastic!!!!! Henry took care of us as well! The food was amazing!! I am not a seafood eater and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The drink are worth every dollar! (Shout out to the bartenders) highly recommended!

Greeted at the door; great server and bartender; food was good. I prefer fresh Calimari but the flavor was good; the Fries were amazing and the Seafood Boil was good and seasoned well. Love the atmosphere and the humongous big screen TV behind the bar. My first visit but will return to try other menu items. $4 Margarita was 👍... The Cosmo needed another shot..

I loved wild crab for years, the food is always great, the ambiance is fun to come and eat with raWe came in to wild crab today at 12:20 PM and got seated and served some drinks but didn't get our offer taken until 12:35 PM and the server rushed to help other guests. The service was not great. The food we didn't get a chance to eat because we spent 40 minutes trying to get our food that we decided to take it to go. Nobody has respect for anyone time anymore. It is sad. I am disappointed in my experience at wild crab today.

Wild Crab is a place we go to to chow down on snow crabs, steamed shrimp, potatoes, sausage, and corn. All of this tossed isa buttery, slightly spicy, Wild Crab sauce. Decor - the restaurant is not very big, with a few table booths and a bar. Music - Slightly loud hip hop music. Upbeat, clubby in some ways. Defintley not a quiet place. Service - Very good, can always spot your server since the restaurant has an open layout. They are always able to get whatever you need, never for got use. Cuisine- We have visited about 3 times within a 2 year span. The seafood has always been fresh and enjoyable. Slightly salty sauce if I could point out something. They used to service the seafood broil in large plastic bags by itself, but not it's served in an adorable cast iron pot. See pic below! Specifics - The snow crab is a must get. The taste with sauce is an indulgence like no other. Mouthfuls of crab bring a sense of abundance to my sole. The sausage, potatoes, and corn off the cob are great side dishes to feast on in between the crab. Compared to other seafood broil-type places, Wild Crab holds it's own. I would say the quality of the seafood and refinement of it's sauce is a slight grade below some the better ones, but it's not a huge gap. I intend to continue to go to Wild Crab for my seafood feasts, since it's a good value, not too pricey, and the location near me in Atlanta is very close.

Despite all the bad reviews my food was good and the customer service was great. This was my first time eating here and it took less than 15 minutes for me to receive my food. The table was nice and clean and as well as the restroom. No complaints here!!

I love this place! Everyone is so welcoming. Shout out to Britt!!! The seafood is delicious! Great vibe and the frosty drinks are on point. Don't sleep on this one!

Ever since the first time I've came the service has declined and the service has became terrible. I'm in the parking lot typing this because I'm over it. Came in today at the 2:40 and was told the close at 3pm and they reopen at 4pm. The door wide open and unlocked . no To go service even 30 mins prior to closing to only open back up at 4pm lol the two ladies was sitting there eating seafood boils and looked like they was annoyed to tell me that lol the last time i came they were eating. This be the sad part about businesses they loose loyal customers due to bad customer service. I just looked at the health score and I'm glad now i didnt eat.

Whats the point of having a phone number if you aint gone answer the phone? And also online ordering is a headache!! It ask for your location and do not pull up the place. You can put the address to the place and it wont pop up! When trying to place an order on Yelp, says establishment is closed, meanwhile establishment hours are posted on site and yelp.

Wild Crab is pretty good. I love me some crab legs.. let's start there. I was satisfied with the seasonings. My partner enjoyed his shrimp boil. My only feedback will be on organization. Our waitress and the bartender were unprofessionally going back and forth about their specials. Please be a little bit more knowledgeable about your own menu before taking orders from customers. Overall, we had a great time. The place looks nice.

I ate at Wild Crab and it was a BIG disappointment! The food was mediocre, the service was extremely poor and slow, and it was just an unpleasant first-time experience. I went with my friend to her friend's birthday gathering. The server just seemed very confused about what was happening. The food took a long time to come to the table, and it was not even hot. My friend and I shared a seafood dip and tortilla chips (the dip was just okay and the restaurant did not give enough chips to equal the amount of dip smh). We tried the popcorn shrimp, which was okay, and also shared Cajun fries (barely ate them and there was an after taste). If I lived in the area, I would not waste my time and calories coming to this restaurant.

Update!! I tend to frequent this place. I recently went here for a celebratory dinner. Management has changed and it appears to be going downhill. Food was good overall. The only tequila they had was Jose Cuervo Gold. They went to the store and bought one bottle Jose Cuervo silver when we asked for silver Tequila. I guess we should have been more specific. Customer service was lacking. One member of our party did not get his food until 20 minutes after everyone else and they only brought out half. The waitress, who was also the bartender, forgot and it was a little while before she returned due to her being busy making drinks. It also took her a while to make the drinks. She may have been new because I ordered a margarita and she got half way to the table before turning around saying "I forgot something!!" She also told a member of our party that a happy hour menu was valid but it turned out it was not. The owner, Darryl, stated that he could not honor the happy hour price due to it being the wrong menu. After going back and forth, Darryl refused to honor the price after we collectively spent almost $400.

Very nice restaurant with an impressive bar... but this is a Dave and Busters teenage / family joint. The food was mediocre, the drinks and the bar service were great ... however food took a very loooong time to come out. There were teenage parties left and right, several teenage moms with very young babies in tow. Not really the vibe i was going for in downtown Decatur. If there was a way to market this restaurant to an adult crowd and speed up the service - I would return. The club prices and teen center atmosphere was a complete turn off for now.

On 5/25/24 It was my first time visiting and it was a horrible experience, my family and I ordered our food and when it arrived there was a cockroach on top of the salad we had. Luckily we had not eaten any of the food at that point, we reported it to our waitress and left the establishment.

I visited late afternoon on Mon Aug 22nd. The bartender was absolutely amazing and did a great job despite the business not having the ingredients for her to make a spicy margarita, dirty martini or Bloody Mary (all drink menu items). For dinner, I ordered a seafood boil with wild crab flavor and fire hot heat. Unfortunately, there was nothing fire about the "heat." To make things better, the bartender served me a side of cayenne pepper to enhance the spice. It worked. Overall, I do not recommend and will not be returning back.

My friend and I came for dinner on a Tuesday night. Upon entering, there's a sign on the door that says no refund on drinks--mmmkay, good to know. It wasn't busy, and we were quickly seated at a booth near the bar. The bartender was our server. My disclaimer is I've eaten here a few times. Each time was always good enough to return, but this particular time food and drinks were pretty subpar. The bar had a limited supply of alcohol, but the bartender really tried her best to make a drink that matched my preferences with her supply. She made me a drink, plus let me sample two other drinks. I settled with water because none of them were good--my friend co-signed that she didn't like the drinks either so trust me I wasn't tripping! The food was decent. I got a shrimp boil, wild crab seasoning, medium spice, and added eggs. The medium spice will make you think you ordered hot instead. The eggs were supposed to be a quantity of 3 but I only had two, and they were rubbery. I let the bartender know and she brought me fresh boiled eggs. She mentioned that other customers said the same about their eggs earlier--again not tripping. By the end of dinner, I felt like I disappointed my friend. She said she's sticking to Pirate's Boil!

I had the shrimp po-boy. It was pretty good - it was not "wow-ing" - but tasty. Fries were good. Everything tasted fresh, no microwave. Also had the crab combo. It was also good. About the same or a little better than Juicy Crab. Worth a second visit.

Me and my date were invited out to grab some food by her mother and they suggested Wild Crab since it was nearby. It's pretty nice inside and there are enough TVs around for a group, family or a single person to come and catch entertainment. There's also music so the vibe is definitely on point. I'm not the biggest seafood boil guy so I typically order fried baskets and this time I ordered the Fried Oyster Basket with Cajun fries. If you're a fan of seafood, then you owe it to yourself to try the fried oysters at Wild Crab. These plump and juicy oysters are coated in a light, crispy batter that's perfectly fried to a golden brown. The oysters themselves are tender and flavorful, with a subtle sweetness that pairs well with the savory batter. They're served piping hot and accompanied by a zesty cocktail sauce that adds a tangy kick and tartar sauce as well. The Cajun fries are also worth raving about. God awful. First time, soggy, overcooked seafood. Gave them a 2nd chance 6 months later. Soggy, overcooked/recooked food again. I grew up on the coast and have family in the seafood business. I've eaten more crab, shrimp and crayfish than I should admit to. Service was really good. My servers both times were great. The food though... Find another place. It was 2 yrs ago so hopefully the person running the kitchen has been replaced. Caveat emptor.

I went for the first time about a month ago. The service was extremely slow! We waited one and a half hours before we received our food. The restaurant was not busy at all. There were only 5 other people there. I asked for steamed broccoli instead of French fries and was told to get the broccoli it would be $7.00 extra!!! That's ridiculous! I asked for the manager and she was very abrupt and rude. The shrimp stream bag I ordered only has one small potatoe in it and one small, mushy piece of corn. Is I hasn't been with 4 other people my partner and I would have walked out. I will never return to this very poorly managed establishment. I urge other people to not waste their time or money to go there! THUMBS DOWN!

Love the $15 boil bag Mon-Thurs from 4-6pm. Delicious and the staff is amazing would definitely recommend

Wild crab is a nice quaint spot to go with friends. I wouldn't want to have a date here due to the type of sitting arrangements at the facility. There are televisions at the bar but if you sit on the opposite side of the establishment you can't see the televisions. It would be nice if there were tvs on the other side. The lighting creates the illusion that it is dark outside regardless of the time you visit. NOw to the menu and food. The sweet tea tasted like I should have ordered water, the French fries were delicious both the Cajun and regular fries, the corn on the cob was cooked with the proper amount of butter, and the oysters were delicious. The shrimp boil needed more flavoring. We requested extra seasoning and poured it in the bag and shook it around. The shrimp was cooked nice it just lacked a bit of flavor.

I few things that was unacceptable for a business that needs to be stated. A group of and I came to wild crab for one of my friends birthday. 1. The first thing that threw us off was the menu. We wanted a crab boil of course but they only served one potato, no egg and I think it was an add on for anything that would usually come in a crab boil. So 3/5 of us ordered pasta. 2. We order the Cajun Chicken Alfredo which was not spicy at all. So 2/3 of us get our pasta. The third pasta which was the birthday girl did not receive her pasta because the restaurant ran out of pasta completely. That was very inconvenient and our waiter should have told the table before he bought the rest of the food out so all of could have been eating. 3. My friend (the birthday girl) also ordered a sprite that was un carbonated but had to pay $4 and some change for it. I felt as if that was unfair due to her not being able to receive her food and being the soda was un carbonated. It was very un ethical. 4. There was also a man who apparently worked in the kitchen who came in and was very rude. As he was walking past our table he slowed down looked us up and down which made us very uncomfortable and scared. Also as we were coming from the bathroom he was pointing out from the kitchen pointing at us checking us out and talking across the kitchen to the eating area at us. It was Very unprofessional and scary. The whole restaurant vibes were off everyone in the restaurant was weird and scary and cannot be trusted. I Do not recommend this restaurant.

I didn't have to go TOO deep into the restaurant before I changed my mind about having a gathering here. The hostess up front was less than welcoming. Definitely have to find another crab spot. The only plus is that the establishment looks nice and is near Decatur Square. Would I recommend? No Will I be back? Probably not.

The location and place is very nice;big TVs. If you want to go and watch a game, the waitress/host was very nice. However, she looked as if she had just got out of bed and shirt wasn't cleaned. Then I saw another worker that had a bonnet on her head! I was very disappointed with this. AND then we got our food.it looked good but it was horrible, my shrimps tasted like old chicken and the fries were bland and my guy hated his salmon as well. We will not be going back and I don't recommend this place. They have to do better

I went there last night by myself for dinner before I could leave the area good, I had to pull over and throw up! A 100 dollar meal down the drain. I got food poisoning for this restaurant.

My first time here...saw it on Instagram...my waiter was great an we was greeted with a warm welcome...we ordered the shrimp & fish basket...the food was delicious an fresh....I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu...

Food was excellent. Our waitress was amazing. The music was on point. We sat outside and the patio was nice and clean and accessible. Menu was minimal but had everything you needed.

Service was great. Love the $4ritas during happy hour. The food tasted really well. I got combo #3 i believe with 1lb crab and 1lb shrimp. Everything was great but the seasoning. It tasted a little too garlicky. Every seafood place is different when it comes to the seasonings being combined. But it was too salty/ garlicky but it was still edible and tasted wonderful

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta area. But...the last couple times I went, the food wasn't as great as I remember. It was far too salty. I usually order a pound if crab and a shrimp basket. Wild crab mild sauce and extra broccoli. Last time it was too salty. Also- I've been disappointed by the lack if mask wearing by staff. During. Our last visit, we sat in the outdoor section and had it all to ourselves. That was great. Drinks are so so. Servers are always super friendly. I will be back!

One of my favorite crab place until my last visit. I always get the seafood roll bag and add extra eggs and shrimps and when I'm there I have to get the hush puppies they are so delicious and fried just right. My daughters and I sat at the bar and ordered cocktails and two side orders of french fires and they were good! However, when we returned home and began to eat our seafood we discovered our crab legs were dried out once I cracked them open, boiled eggs were tough and rubbery. The shell on the shrimps were very loose and hard. Because we spent almost $100.00 I decided to call and let them know about the poor quality of food... I told the manager my experience she apologized to me. I told her that I was willing to bring the food back and I was hoping she would say you could come back for a redo..but she said I can give you $10.00 off of your next meal. Awww, never mind!

Arrived the first time on Valentine's Day at around 9:25pm and they closed at 10:30pm. They said they were no longer accepting guest due to them being understaffed. I was shocked they didn't staff more ppl for such a popular holiday for dining. However, my date and I returned on that Wednesday and were more pleased with this visit. We walked in and were sat immediately. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. Our waiter Jerome was amazing. We informed him that it was our first time visiting and he gave us some drink and food suggestions that turned out being a great choice. I had an apple martini and my date had a beer both were on sale. That was the first win! We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and those were really good. The "boom boom" dipping sauce really made those a big hit. For entrees we ordered the combo A and combo B, both with sausage because they didn't come with sausage. Our waiter suggested the wild crab seasoning which was again a great suggestion. You get a lot for your money. I'm used to a wayyy lesser portion and a higher price at the place I normally go so this was refreshing. Outside of the V-Day disappointment, overall I was pleased and want to try some other flavors. I was told the cilantro lime seasoning slaps so I'll definitely be back to give that a try.

Upon arrival we immediately saw a sign saying that mask were required which was a relief honestly. The host was very friendly and took our names for a table.. we waited around 45 minutes and were seated at a booth with plastic separators .. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed before, during and after our meal. There was a little flavor mix up.. me and my friends spice level were switched ( I ordered hot and she ordered mild) .. the manager offered me spicy butter and my friend some lemons ( he assured us this would cut the spice level however i was not convinced) . My friends seafood was still incredibly spicy so she had to get hers re-made. The second bag took about 30 minutes on top of the 45 minute wait from initially being seated .. great food but service could use a tune up. IG: Eatwithambs

Brought my girlfriends 6 year old daughter here while her mom was at a work dinner. Decent atmosphere and I like the way the food was served, the crab was really good. However, I asked for a kid's chicken fettuccini and was given an adult shrimp fettuccini and was charged accordingly, I did accept the shrimp because she was hungry, didn't realize it wasn't a kids portion since it was my first time here. Online there was a children's menu, I said kids, and she's tiny, perhaps there is no kids menu after all but I would have liked to have known that when ordering. I would have pointed it out before paying but it was getting late. I don't think the server was writing down orders for our table since it was two of us

Very poor customer service. Went twice-poor customer service both times. Food is okay.

I got 1/2 a lb of crab and 1/2 a lb of shrimp for 27.00 not bad !! And it was delicious they even included corn and a potato.

For the second time, I recently visited the restaurant since I had a taste for seafood. My first experience was a few years ago and it was just okay so I thought I would give them a second try. Well, this go round I was so excited to leave my review. The food was plentiful and tasted great. I selected the tilapia basked with Cajun fries and an order of hush puppies. The serving for the fish basket was very large and could easily feed two people. The tilapia was fresh and the food was hot. I enjoyed the hush puppies and fries as well. I definitely recommend this place a a go to seafood location. Also, the atmosphere has a cool vibe as well, both interior and the outside patio. The staff was also very friendly. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was due to the wait since my call in order was a bit longer than expected. Otherwise, no complaints and will definitely be returning.

Hey seafood lovers I found out about this place on tik tok while visiting in Alanta. The waiter made it even better very attentive. Started off with the 1/2 lbs of steam oyster . Delicious.. I ordered the snow crab shrimp boil and added two corns with garlic and butter with medium spice as my flavor. Now this is why I gave four out five stars. The bag in which my boil came in did not have enough butter and garlic sauce. I had to request it. It took a little minute . It was not my butter and garlic sauce I ordered. Ended up taking my ordered to go so I found out the sauce was wrong back at my hotel. Over all the food was delicious.

We enjoyed our food and drinks, Cameron provided excellent service. Calamari was fire and the Crab and Lobster bag was good as well.

Great food, friendly staff, speedy service. Way better then Juicy crab. The flavor is unmatched.

Checked out Wild Crab today. I sat in the bar area. They have a decent drink selection. I ordered a Sangria, which was really good. They have drink specials during the week. I got the 1/2 pound crab legs, 1/2 pound black mussels, and extra potatoes. I ordered broccoli, but it came in a bag with shrimp shells so I sent it back. I advise management to fix this and make sure they steam them separately. I was told by the waitress that they steam them together. I got the Wild Crab sauce which was really good so I ordered extra on the side. I would come back again, but stick with the mussels and a drink. The crab legs weren't worth the price to me. The parking is free.

Food was terrible. Crabs tasted old. Corn was freezer burnt. Potatoes hard in the middle. Asked for a manager. Never came to see what I wanted or a refund. Told me to just do a review. I would never go there again!

It's 9pm an I asked for a table for two the young lady said they was not seating anymore ppl because the close at 11. Two hours early. Maybe they' should change they' time to 9pm

1st time eating from wildcrab... Utter disappointment. The fact that I placed a BASIC order online (bf picked it up) where the staff can READ and REREAD the order so there isn't any miscommunication and they still MESSED UP the entire order is INSANE. Why is my $16 crab cluster missing 3 legs? Ordered garlic seasoning, gave me garlic butter which had zero flavor. Ordered 1/2 lbs shrimp with head on and half my order was head off, didn't even know you can get both. THE WEIGHT IS QUESTIONABLE, I know for a fact I didn't receive 1/2 lbs of shrimp. THIS IS A MANAGEMENT ISSUE. There is no quality control. NEVER AGAIN! Go somewhere else!

My husband wanted crab for his birthday dinner so we thought we'd give Wild Crab a try. We ordered fried pickles to share, he got 2 clusters of snow crab legs, and I got 2 clusters of snow crab legs with a side of broccoli. When we got everything home we were missing our fried pickles... My side of broccoli was thrown in the bag with my crab - not what I expected but no big deal, right? Except the brine was so salty and the broccoli soaked it up, so each piece of broccoli was a salt bomb and basically inedible. And be sure you read the menu carefully - when it says the meal comes with corn and potato it means it. Each of us only got one half corn cob and one single potato. The crab tasted fine but the negatives far outweighs the positives for me.

WORST EXPERIENCE! Pleaseee do not waste your time here. I placed an order over the phone while looking at their website. When I came in to pick up my food, the hostess was very stand-offish and rude to put it bluntly. Once we got past that, the hostess proceeded to let me know my total and it was $30 more than what the website advertised. I asked to speak with the manager (ROGER) and he was extremely rude too. He refused to let me speak and just kept saying that the website was wrong. He offered no apologies and walked away mid conversation when I was explaining my confusion. After reluctantly paying for my food, I got home to discover it was the worst seafood boil I had ever tasted. The shrimp was under cooked and the sauce was extremely bland. I wish I could have saved my money, please do not waste yours eating here.

I stopped in for a quick lunch in the City of Decatur. I decided on the fried shrimp, cajun fries, and clam chowder. The fried shrimp were delicious. There are about 8 or so medium-sized shrimp that come in the shrimp basket. The shrimp were fried perfectly and had a good flavor. You can tell they were freshly fried. As far as the batter, even if the shrimp were store-bought, it was a good brand. They were sprinkled with garnish. The cajun fries were equally delicious. Freshly fried, good flavor. The clam chowder was a disappointment. I could tell it was not freshly made. If anything it probably came from a can. I was not a fan, and I do not recommend ordering the soup. The rest of the menu was the pretty typical low country boil seafood places popping up. Others who opted for the steamed seafood with the wild seasoning said it was a bit plain, and the little I tasted - I tend to agree. However, the waiter brought out a little cup of seasoning and it perked the bag right up. Also, during lunchtime, if you are ordering from their lunch menu do not expect to get a mixture of seafood or even a crab leg option. Either you get shrimp (heads or no heads), oysters, or mussels (i think) with an option of fries. No mixing, no crabs. So that was kind of sucky. I would reserve this spot as a lunch spot.

CUSTOMER SERVICE CONCERN: I wanted to give this place a try. Since it is a holiday, I called to get their hours for today. A young lady answered with her greeting, but before I could ask she said, "please hold", and placed me on HOLD. I waited; and after 10 mins of no one returning, I hungup. That for me is a glance into the level of care I would experience as a customer. Not Today!

Visiting from out of state, SOOOOO GOOOD!!! Fair prices, good service, and even better food. We got snow crab, mussels, shrimp, and crawfish and everything.... literally everything was amazing.
