We went to Wild Eggs before heading home to Chicago, and it was such a great choice. First off, the service was excellent our server, Casey, was attentive and recommended some fantastic dishes. We tried the Submarine: turkey, meat, cheese, and egg all served on a hoagie, and it was delicious. We also ordered their chicken and waffles, and let me tell you, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The chicken breast was perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the waffle was soft, buttery, and cooked just right. Thanks again, Casey your friendly service made the food even more enjoyable. If we lived in Louisville, this would definitely be our go-to spot.

This was the first time we have ever been! Went on our friendcation/double date. 20 minute wait but well worth it. I wasnt much for the freshly squeezed orange juice but the food was amazing! Highly recommend!

Google
A fun place for breakfast! We sat at the bar where service was quick and friendly! I had the surfer girl omlete without guacamole and I added hollandaise sauce as I wanted to make sure the omelet wouldn't be dry. The sauce had great flavor and it probably didn't need it as the sour cream gave it enough creamyness and flavor. A great meat-free breakfast!

Google
An outstanding breakfast experience. A must stop if you’re in Louisville. The casserole was outstanding and the crepes were out of this world. We tried the apple and the blueberry ones. They were light yet delicious.

We went during a busy time but didn’t have to wait too long to get in. The atmosphere was long but we were able to talk without an issue. Service was also what you would expect for a busy time, but still the server was polite and helpful with tips on the menu. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the cinnamon roll for the table. Its has a rich cinnamon cream cheese icing and a crispy bottom from the skillet it’s cooked in. I also had the Carolina casserole skillet and everything in it was cooked to perfection. If you like skillets, bacon, and gravy, it’s a must have. Overall, the food is worth the visit alone.

Google
Wild Eggs is a small local chain of breakfast places that is a notch above your standard breakfast faire. The portions are large, the service is fast and friendly with a huge menu of items from which to choose. I had a four egg omelet that was good, but nothing special... My wife and daughter both loved their choices pictured below...

I just had one of the most unusual experiences at a breakfast place and I'm not so sure. I mean unusual as in good. I'm still processing what I just experienced. But if I were to try to break it down I would say this place seemed so promising with gluten-free options and a really diverse menu. When we got there it still seemed too good to be true. We had such an unusual server and experience with her. It was really busy and I could tell she was in the weeds. To give you an example of how busy things were, she still hasn't brought me my almond milk for my tea. :/ Also, even though we ended up getting gluten-free pancakes and gluten-free French toast, the other meal had gluten-free toast on it. She did not ring in correct so we ended up with wheat toast. We also ended up with a big hair cooked into our omelette so we knew it came from the kitchen. We just had them take it off the bill. The food was disappointing. Someone in the kitchen needs to learn how to make good gluten-free pancakes. We ended up with a really beautiful looking stack of pancakes as you can see in the picture. But when we finally got some syrup which I had to get myself from another table, it was like a giant stack of bricks. Dense and thick and crumbly. Not good at all. It would be hard to make something that you see in that picture. Taste bad but they did. Either they're not using the right mixture of gluten-free batter or they didn't let it sit long enough or because I had to wait so long to get syrup it hardened and became difficult to eat. It doesn't really matter what the case is. It just wasn't any good. I really wanted to have a good experience today but between their distracted and over busy staff to the poorly made dishes, you can see that the biggest picture here and the biggest problem is management. No one is watching the hen House and overseeing things to ensure the highest quality product. I could just feel it in the whole place that no one was really taking care of things. There wasn't a person in charge that was overseeing things and making sure everything was being taken care of... So I can't really blame the server as much as I can. The entire establishment and its management choices. If you want to have a good product and be competitive, you're going to have to take care of the little things like making sure a person who asks seven times to get their almond milk to make sure that they get their almond milk for their tea. That's actually cold by the time it gets there. It's those kind of things that make a restaurant great. If you can do the little things well then you might not be able to do any of it well at all. If I had to give some advice as a person who's worked in the service and restaurant industry for decades, I would tell you to get a hold of your restaurant before it spirals too far out of control. Take care of the people and make sure that they matter. It's moments like this that ruins a good business.

Google
had an early breakfast and the entire staff was super kind to my partner and i!! the food came out fast, was presented beautifully, and tasted even better. s/o to my server whose name i did not get!! he was cool as a cucumber and very knowledgeable of the menu. the atmosphere is super cozy and the restaurant is thoughtfully decorated. i can tell the staff take pride in what they do and whoever manages/owns the place really cares. thank all of you sm!!!

Yelp
We were in town for a volleyball tournament and needed a restaurant that could accommodate a large team meal, so I called to ask about seating for about 25 people. Paul answered the phone, and it turned out he is the executive chef. From that very first conversation, he was incredibly welcoming, confident, and accommodating, assuring me it would be no problem. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly hostess and Paul himself, which immediately made us feel welcome. Our waitress, Jessica, was truly exceptional. She was organized, attentive, and handled our large group effortlessly. Jessica kept everything running smoothly, checked on us often, and made sure every order was correct and timely -- all with a great attitude and a smile. Her service made a huge difference in our experience. The food and drinks came out promptly, everything was delicious, and the portions were generous. The blueberry muffins were amazing! We loved everything about this location and were so impressed by how seamlessly they accommodated our group. Highly recommend, especially for teams or large groups. Outstanding service, great food, and a fantastic overall experience!

Yelp
My wife and I drove up from Nashville for the University of Louisville family weekend. Our daughter is a Junior and we've grown to love the great restaurants in the area. We were looking for a new place for breakfast and our daughter suggested Wild Eggs. It was great! Fantastic downtown location with a fun ambience, and of course fantastic food. Our server was very friendly and knowledgable. Pro tip: take advantage of booking a reservation. We were able to be seated right away on a busy Sunday morning.

Yelp
We had a reservation at Wild Egg but were unable to make it. So we went the next day without one! We probably got there close to 9:15 on a Friday morning and it was packed! Fortunately, there was a table available for us. No server approached us for a little while. The hostess was seating someone near us and asked if we had any service yet - we had not. She went and got someone to take care of us right away. After that it moved quickly! We knew we were going to have a sizable lunch, so we decided to split a meal. We were really glad because the portions are huge! We got the Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict and it came with breakfast potatoes and a bread - we opted for the blueberry muffin. We asked for an extra plate, but they split it for us before they brought it to the table. It was delicious! I couldn't even finish my half of the meal! There are so many places to eat in downtown Louisville, so I do t imagine that we'll come back while we're visiting. But you should go!

Yelp
Yum! The food here is solid and I would definitely be back for breakfast or brunch. I ordered an eggs Benedict with two sides and paid $28 after tax tip and delivery fees. I ordered takeout so I could eat at my hotel as I am visiting from out of town. I got the California Benedict with sides of sausage links and casserole. I wasn't sure what the casserole was because there wasn't really a description of it online, but it showed it was really popular so I decided to trust it. The Benedict was solid! It came with two English muffins, mashed avocado, sliced tomato, smoked turkey and two poached eggs in bechamel sauce. The Benedict was good, tbh I couldn't really taste the bechamel sauce so the dish kinda just felt plain and straightforward. Not a bad thing! It was filling and tasted good, but nothing to rave about. The casserole though was bomb. Simple thin strings of potato and onion in a cheese sauce baked into a casserole. They cut into squares and give you a piece topped with green onion. This was soooo yummy. The sausages were also very good. Overall, I'd like to try dining in person because I hear the service is great and would like to see how the restaurant is inside. Food wise, I enjoyed it and would recommend you check them out for breakfast or brunch!

Yelp
Eat. Here. Wow, lived this place for brunch. The Loco Hash was my favorite: the carnitas were a perfect mix of juicy and crisp. Kelsey's KY Brown was savory and rich, just a bit too salty for my taste. Great Bloody Mary too!
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast, and they do fill up fast on the weekends. We came just after 9a on Sunday and got the last table. Big menu with lots of great options. Coffee $3.49 Mexico City Chilaquiles $14 - Very enjoyable dish, the meat was shredded and flavorful and the sauce is very drinkable. Got this with a side of grit *chef kisses* Potato Head Casserole $14 - This dish was good. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

Yelp
Impressed with the quick service, this place was very busy. The food was good, no complaints. We wanted a delicious , quick, filling breakfast before hitting the road to return home. Wild Eggs delivered and we would return.

Yelp
I ordered online To Go and the order and receipt are correct and they even gave me sausage on the side like requested.... The problem is, I ordered the Mr Potatohead, with eggs scrambled well done, with the queso, mushrooms, peppers and onions, with sausage on the side, (because I'm a vegetarian) I received something filled with meat-ham and bacon-and some runny eggs on top with some weird sauce. Probably hollandaise. Very disappointed because we were in a hurry to get back home from vacation, we live about 40 miles away. Do better!!! Double check before packing an order!

Yelp
The food and the service were great. This is our second visit and we loved it so much when we came a year ago that we had absolutely had to come back to get great food. Rachel was great in her attention to our table.

Yelp
We came to this restaurant while we were on a trip to Louisville, the reviews were good so we decided to check the place out. We had made a reservation so once we got there we were seated right away. The menu is not large but the sections all looked good. We each had different plates. Each ranging between $12-15. The place serves breakfast, brunch and lunch so if you can't make it to breakfast you can go for lunch or brunch. We started with the drinks, i had the a chocolate drink which had bourbon chef's kiss. We then had the most delicious house made cinnamon roll on a cast iron skillet it didn't last great flavor and soft. We went with the Kelsey KY brown, breakfast burrito, south western. Everything was tasty and had enough to fill your belly. The place gets busy as a-lot of locals go too but you will be good with a reservation. They do have lots of space and tables, and waiter/ waitresses are there when you need them. Would definitely recommend if you are ever in the area for breakfast didn't go for lunch but the breakfast was delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
While visiting my cousin and her family we stopped at Wild Eggs and were treated to a delicious breakfast! We sampled the cinnamon roll..probably the best I've ever tasted. And I of course had the Irish eggs benny. Everything hit the spot and I also enjoyed the numerous egg pictures scattered throughout the restaurant. I would definitely come again when I'm out that way. Thanks Wild Eggs!

Yelp
Outstanding and unique menu! Service was first class. Highly recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Good breakfast, my wife's platter was great, pancakes great, grits great. My only negative was that the omelette eggs ( my meal ) appeared to be from liquid eggs as these were spongy and quite dry and not much inside , I ordered bacon, ham, spinach and cheese and it was all clumped in the middle.
google avatar

Yelp
We were lucky enough to sit at the bar top within a minute of checking in for a 45 minute wait for a table on a Sunday morning. Our server Rachel was pushing to serve her area and did an exceptional job!! Everyone at the bar enjoyed the atmosphere as if we were all in one party! The food was served quickly and the pomegranate mimosa was the first beverage and I wished I had ordered the pitcher instead of a single!!
google avatar

Tamica J.

Yelp
This was the BEST place ever! Reservations are HIGHLY recommended otherwise the waitlist is crazy and they close at 3p! Food was phenomenal and gave huge portions. Our server was great and very attentive. Ambiance is family/friends/fun and just relaxed. Please give it a try and let me know your thoughts.
google avatar

Yelp
We visited randomly on a Friday afternoon after being in town and looking for a quick bite. We happened to walk by and decided to go in and try it. There was ample seating and we had no wait. The service was phenomenal!! Everyone had smiling faces and offered suggestions. We were visiting from another state so some of the servers offered up suggestions on what to do while in town. The Bloody Mary was probably top 3 I've ever had. The pickles they used were sweet and spicy and do good we had to ask for a picture of the bottle to buy! The portions are a generous size and we couldn't finish our food.
google avatar

Kyle C.

Yelp
Some foods are just not meant to be changed, and that's the case here with the Biscuits & Gravy. Everyone else makes it with regular or spicy sausage, they only have bacon or chorizo here. The bacon gravy was very, very bland. Chicken and waffles were okay, sausage links were good, but as a breakfast place I definitely expect good B&Gs and this wasn't that. Also very expensive bill for average bfast.
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
Went for late breakfast because at 10:55am my hotel was no longer serving- grrr. This hit the spot. Potatoes were so crispy and well seasoned. No up charge for egg white in my omelette. I got Swiss, turkey sausage, roasted tomatoes and poblanos. It was great. Side of sour dough toast which could have been a bit more toasted but the butter whipped and spreadable which I give extra points for. Very good breakfast.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
Our server was excellent. She engaged and was very enthusiastic about the food and the menu. The Wild Western Omelette was very good. Lots of veggies and a little bite from the jalapeños. The grit of the day was cheesy bacon and sausage. I didn't grow up on grits but these made me wish I did. Finally, the blueberry muffin was warm and fresh and tasted great. Overall it was a pretty laid back atmosphere. Very modern but comfortable. The only criticism I have is the coffee. I really appreciate that they place a pot of coffee on your table but the coffee itself wasn't great. Overall I really enjoyed Wild Eggs and would definitely go back again.
google avatar

Kelly W.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot! The menu had great variety, almost too great! I had a hard time choosing what to order! I went with the breakfast casserole and was very pleased. Everything that passed by our table looked amazing, I wanted to order it all! The pancakes looked so delicious, they were so fat and fluffy! The breakfast lasagna looked very interesting as well! If you are visiting Louisville, check them out!
google avatar

Roya J.

Yelp
Food and service just okay. Our server was trying to be nice, but seemed service industry wasn't his forte. He however had a cool skeleton tattoo on his hand. As for food, presentation and names were da best. Taste was however mediocracy at its best. Portions were fine except for the chicken and waffles was on the smaller side. Meh is my best description.
google avatar

Shafiq A.

Yelp
Good food with a standard selection of breakfast and brunch items. They make good chicken and waffles and have a nice variety that would suit pretty much everybody. Our server was really nice and the restaurant has a nice upbeat vibe. I like that when you order coffee they give you a full pot for yourself to keep at your table.
google avatar

Brian V.

Yelp
Started with a coffee and ordered the Kelsey KY Brown. The coffee is hot and they provided a large insulated pot for refills. The KY Brown was served on toast with poached eggs, white gravy and diced tomatoes. Wild Egg always serves up a great breakfast with fast and friendly service.
google avatar

Jason E.

Yelp
After my last experience I had to go back. This time I was solo so sat at the counter, moderate mistake. Yes, the food was delicious, just like last time. The concern is, one server for 18 seats, not the best. Almost every seat sat down within 10 minutes of each other, the poor server was running like crazy and couldn't keep up. Drinks were empty, requests were delayed, plates not cleared when people left. When it's hoping down there maybe a second person would be beneficial.
google avatar

Bansari M.

Yelp
I mean, how can you go wrong with breakfast anytime of the day? Wild eggs is a chain but I truly think it is a good chain. I can be picky about the chains I eat at, but my legs is not one of those places for me. I thoroughly enjoy their poached eggs made the way I prefer them which is without the runny center. The potatoes are always seasoned well and crispy and never miss. Fresh orange juice is to die for. There are so many options on their menu that it probably would take you at least 3 weeks to try them all if you ate there everyday.
google avatar

Semaria S.

Yelp
Cute breakfast spot that was literally right across from our hotel. Loved the option to make a reservation or join wait-list. Please note it gets super packed after 10am so keep that in mind. Staff were very accommodating and gave good energy. We opted to try the seasonal peach mimosa in a pitcher and loved it. I chose the chicken and waffles with breakfast potatoes as my meal. Absolutely delicious. The buttermilk syrup and Nashville hot chicken sauce are a great addiction to the meal. Prices are reasonable so you can't go wrong. Wheelchair accessible location for anyone who requires it. There is an elevator lift to provide access to seating area
google avatar

Ana M.

Yelp
So yummy! The service was friendly and if you don't want to wait for a table you can sit at the bar and the way it curves (the bar) makes it easier to still have a chat with whoever you're with!
google avatar

Maggie A.

Yelp
Um, have you ever had a breakfast lasagna? Layers of pancakes, eggs, and sausage, covered in mornay sauce? Well, your breakfast dream can come true at Wild Eggs. We arrived around 10:30am on a Saturday in December with no wait, even though the place was packed. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. People rave about the bloody mary, and rightly so. Great diner-style breakfast spot in downtown Louisville.
google avatar

Lindsey R.

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast with family. We called ahead because we had a larger party and they sat us right away. The menu is extensive and they will happily modify anything. We started with the cinnamon roll for the table, lots of omelettes and pancakes for the kids. Our service Johnny was super helpful and attentive. Prices were cheap based on the rising egg prices. Everyone left full and happy!
google avatar

Jean S.

Yelp
Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I'm gluten and dairy intolerant and there were plenty of options to easily navigate through. Servicewas very poor. I fetched our own silverware behind the counter, borrowed salt and pepper from a nearby table and never saw the waitress after ordering our food until check time. Someone else brought the food out. Still will go back. Perhaps our waitress was having a bad day.
google avatar

Francisco F.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Had pancakes, eggs sunny side up bacon and coffee. Was all very good and at a good price. Only thing lacking was the service.
google avatar

Valerie H.

Yelp
I go every time I'm in Louisville. We love the food, the servers, and the relaxed atmosphere every time!

Yelp
Had an early breakfast and definitely worth the visit! I had my grandma with me and server was extra nice to her... My fave was the Four Egg Omelet.

Yelp
+ An Unbeatable Breakfast Experience at Wild Eggs - Louisville From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding--warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the Lex and it was an absolute powerhouse of flavor and satisfaction. Three perfectly cooked eggs, crispy golden-brown aluminum hashbrowns, three savory sausage links, three strips of thick-cut bacon, sourdough toast done just right, and a side of French toast that tasted like dessert for breakfast. Every bite delivered bold flavor and comfort. Portions were generous, presentation was clean, and the food was served hot and fresh. This wasn't just breakfast--it was an experience. If you're in Louisville and looking for the gold standard in breakfast, Wild Eggs delivers beyond expectations. Highly recommended. I'll be back! And my server Darrin was outstanding! Thank you!

Yelp
This place is out of this world delicious!! We had great service and the food came out quick!!

Yelp
Delicious food and awesome service as always. Best breakfast around. I would recommend and stop in. To reward your taste buds! But, don't take my work for it. Stop in and try it for yourself.

Yelp
Food was incredible. Service was also incredible. Server was extremely friendly. The tater tots tasted amazing, the pancakes were extremely fluffy, eggs cooked perfectly.

Yelp
Yum! Recommend if you are in town. Consistently good - food and service!!!!!! Yum! Recommend if you are in town. Consistently good - food and service!!!!!!

Jamey M.

Yelp
Good food and you get a lot for the price you pay. Very clean. Took a while to get our food and once we got it, most of it was cold, however, my eggs and bacon were cooked perfect to my liking. We had coffee and fresh squeezed OJ. Both were great
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
The chilaquiles were amazing! They were not only great tasting but a tasting experience when paired with the like picante sipper that follows each bite, fantastic! The servers were very nice, genuine, and knowledgeable. We ate with two people who have celiac disease and they had a dedicated gluten free menu and both stated their food was amazing. Also very accommodating for a wheelchair with a lift to get into the restaurant. Would eat again hopefully soon!
google avatar

B K.

Yelp
We were hungry for biscuits and gravy and found this place. What a cool name by the way. We were lucky it was between busy times and got right in. By the time we left there was a line waiting to get in. I would recommend reservations. We were not disappointed. The eggs were just so fluffy and tasty. We shared a meal and there was more than enough for two of us. Most everyone left with a to go box. I ordered coffee and they brought a pot which was nice to see. My husband had a latte which he said was very good. The bacon, sausage and gravy were very good. I would most definitely return to visit Wild Eggs again.
google avatar

Big M.

Yelp
Service was great! Everyone was nice, parking is a little weird but you can find spots! Reason to a 4 star never got my grits and blueberry muffin But the food is good! Good eggs! Good meals! The store was really packed for how little it is! But overall good!
google avatar

Tony P.

Yelp
We do a lot of breakfast and brunch places at home. In town for Bourbon and Beyond and found this places. We agreed this was the best breakfast we have had in a long time. Highly recommend and worth a wait.
google avatar

Abby W.

Yelp
I'm always happy when a breakfast spot lets me add turkey to an omelette and this spot actually has it listed as an option. My turkey and cheddar omelette was delicious and the skillet potatoes were a perfect side. I ended up choosing a blueberry muffin for my bread and it was a great choice. My boyfriend picked the wild mushroom and roasted garlic scramble, which also comes with his favorite goat cheese and couldn't have been happier with the dish.
google avatar

Dorian C.

Yelp
Wow times 20. Great breakfast joint and great service. I'm from the West coast and boyyyy do I love me some southern hospitality. The waitresses were super accommodating and made sure I was taken care of. Came here twice during my 2 day visit. Had the famous KY Brown, super flavorful and very interesting. A bit on the heavier side for me (sauce, deli like meat) but I inhaled the whole dish very fast. Best southern fried chicken I have had, and got to try grits as well. Would come back in a heartbeat.
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
Had the chorizo Benedict. Wow! Great flavors. Not your standard egg dish. Coffee was good, great flavors. Visiting on business, but I think I found my new go to when in town!
google avatar

Amy F.

Yelp
The food was fantastic. Our waiter Darrin was a wonderful, he was a hoot. Would absolutely recommend stopping here while you're in town! I got the country fried steak and others in my party ordered the stuffed French toast and breakfast lasagna.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was great and you got tons of it. Service was quick. Great place to go for a needed breakfast before a day on the trail.
