Google
A great cafe to visit while in Banff! I got espresso, roasted root veg, berry brioche and a banana croissant. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The toasted bread was crisp and fluffy. The berry brioche had just come out so it was warm and soft. Highly recommend!

Google
The service is great, the coffee is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the food is fresh! I only ordered an Americano and chocolate croissant but I saw how delectable all their other pastries and sandwiches looked. If there was anything I could say that would make this place perfect - is I wish there was just a wee bit more chocolate in the chocolate croissant. This is a busy bakery/cafe! Be prepared for a lineup during busy times and possibly needing to grab a seat outside (which is also beautiful).

Google
I always love checking out local bakeries and being in Banff did not change this. My daughters and I set out one morning to find the best croissant in Banff and the Wild Flour Bakery delivered. We loved it so much we came back each morning of our stay!

Would recommend to everyone, would go back. What a nice spot, nice staff, even nicer customers. I couldn't decide between 2 sandwiches and a man told me what to do. I normally don't listen to others but he sounded quite passionate about his opinion. I did not regret listening to him. If this curry soup is on the menu again, I will buy a quart, it was fabulously delicious.

Google
This was my favorite morning spot to stay in and enjoy the coffee during my vacation in Banff. They have nice coffee and delicious pastries. While you waiting in line you could check their shop full of artists projects. There are lots of spots inside and also the tables outside.

Google
A very nifty little bakery and coffee shop. They can be very busy here on weekends but the line moves reasonably along and the service is friendly. They sometimes have breakfast sandwiches available past their posted breakfast hour so ask if ur interested, and I like that u can add fresh tomato slices and/or bacon to them as well. Their beans are fine for ur preferred espresso bev and the cinnamon raisin toast is oh so yummy w a little butter. Seating is limited indoors but lots to choose from right outside. PS- we like to share halves of the sandwiches so we can try and share other sweet pastry options w the savory sandwich ;-)

Google
Lovely bakery and coffee shop! They have homemade syrups for coffee which is always a must for me. I got the vegan foccacia and my friend the grilled cheese - highly recommend the sandwich and the soup of the day! Very friendly staff too

Google
In Banff for a couple of days. Took some time to stroll through the mainstreet area of town. Lots of cute shops and restaurants. The place was busy, and very hot. I mean super, uncomfortable HOT. My spouse had to wait outside before they overheated. There was a bit of a line, so it took some time to actually place my order. Lots of yummy looking bakery items. They also were selling some packaged chocolate bars, which looked interesting, so I got a couple of those. Looking for an unsweetened iced tea, and all they had was made up sweet teas. The suggestion was to get a tea, steep it, and pour it over ice. That was okay, but not as good (or cold) as what might have been cold steeped in a large container. Not sure if this is a place that I would return to.

Yelp
This place was SO cute, and it's obviously great because it stays so busy. They do move through orders super quick though. Not a lot of indoor seating but on a nice day, there's plenty of outdoor seating. We ended up getting our order to go and enjoyed it by the river. We had a flatbread, the soup of the day (red pepper), and a cookie. The cookie was FANTASTIC. Definitely a great spot for lunch in the area!!

Yelp
Came here because of hype on reviews on pastries. Not sure if I came too late in the morning, but I didn't see much of anything I wanted (based on Yelpie's photos). I ordered a London fog latte, Apple muffin, Apple Morning Bun, and a Cinnamon swirl. There were a lot of people indoor enjoying their cup of jo and pastries. Only one person sat outside and brave the cold. I liked that it was just around the corner to the hotel and I discovered later that there was another location on the main street of Banff Downtown. I brought the goodies to the hotel and shared them. OMG! The pastries were sooooo gooooooood! The apple muffin was sooooooo moist and dense, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm never a muffin person - so they won me over. The apple morning bun was good, more like a croissant with apple custard on top. The cinnamon swirl with maybe pecans or walnut was also good. I had to save half of it and the muffin for later. My expectations was a roller coaster - high, medium, and super high! Would totally come back for more pastries.

Yelp
Got the sandwich, soup, cookie combo. For 2 people + 2 drinks comes to like $60. I got the turkey brie - 10/10 good but so expensive. Boyfriend got the Smoked meat - 10/10 he was happy. Soup was Asian mushroom - was a touch spicy with real mushroom and tofu chunks. Not creamy. Boyfriend gave it 12/10. I gave it 8/10 - creative but I would have preferred classic creamy. Salted cookie was 7/10, so bland. Triple chocolate cookie was 9/10. Good food but so expensive!

Yelp
We only ordered coffee here and I ordered their hot mocha and it was ok. Not really a wow factor for my taste but good enough for caffeine. Staff were ok, not too "welcoming" and the ambiance of the place was "gloomy" or maybe it was just the vibe inside in general. Well we got our coffee that's all that matters.

Yelp
We were recommended by locals to try Wild Flour. They have some unique drinks and a wide assortment of pastries. Foods we ordered: maple walnut twist, breakfast sandwich Drinks we ordered: dandelion latte with mushroom blend, maple latte The maple walnut twist was pretty amazing. It was flakey on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The maple latte smelled so nice on our rainy week in Banff. It didn't taste overly sweet. The dandelion mushroom latte was new to me. It tasted earthy and light. It was calming which made me second guess whether I made the right choice that morning, since I needed something more caffeinated for our long day of adventure. There's definitely a bit of a wait if you come during peak hours in the morning, when everyone's getting ready to head out to places but the wait wasn't too bad if you are standing there, snacking on a maple twist.

Yelp
I stopped in here 4 times on our 4 days here! Their food and fresh juice is bomb!!! It's a must go
google avatar

Yelp
This was such a cute lil coffee shop! Came here for breakfast and got the sandwich (no tomatoes or bacon) and it was just like an egg frittata between bread. It wasn't bad but could have used flavor (I added hot sauce). The staff was super friendly. I got a hot tea as well and the vibes overall were great. It is a pretty small spot so you may night have a place to sit, or might have to share a large table.

Yelp
I don't know what they hype is about this place!! It was busy when we got there. There was at least 15 people ahead of us. Also expensive for what they offer. An egg sandwich $12 Canadian dollars, why! They coffee is also expensive and has no taste in my opinion. Service was really slow and there are two people at the register, really nice people but they take their time or leave the register while people are still waiting in line to order. However, food is quick faster than how service is when you order. I had their scone which I asked for it to be warmed and it was given right away without warming it up. I had their cheese scone which I asked for it to be warm and I got it cold. Also had the rosemary and berry scone which was ok. My husband and I did not like their coffee or food. It was expensive for no reason. I would not recommend it

Yelp
Cute little artisan bakery. I was hoping for an almond croissant but there weren't any available, so had a ham and cheese one. It was fine; nothing special. The hot chocolate was nice! The ambiance is great. Timing is everything with this place though - when I arrived it was a short wait, but when I left the line was out the door. Best views though! Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Yelp
Overall, just a great and friendly coffee shop. I'd recommend it as a wonderful start for the morning if you're looking to pick something up for your long day :) Butter croissant: Get Very flakey and very cripsy, its simply buttery delight Breakfast sammich: Get A thick layer of egg, this will fill you right up and leave you satisfied. Food: 7/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Value: 8/10

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch with my family! Super cute shop and nice tables to eat outside, the sandwiches were all pretty good, and I like how they heat it up/grill it for you! I got the vegan veggie focaccia and it was pretty good! Had pizza sauce and veggies so it tasted like pizza ~ but if you don't like vegan cheese u might not like it.

Yelp
Visited this amazing breakfast/brunch bakery spot in Banff downtown few months back. Their baked items are simply put delicious and I loved my morning dose of Matcha as well. Don't be disheartened by the long lines as they move fast and the service is quick. Their breakfast sandwich was fresh and delicious. I particularly liked their bread. It's made in house so the quality was amazing. I also tried their Maple twist which was a winner too. They have some seating just outside the restaurant, next to the sidewalk so it's perfect for a sunny morning on vacation.

Katrina T.

Yelp
Super packed but super good food for the price. I loved the breakfast sandwiches and the carrot cake was massive! Loved the service.

Taylor T.

Yelp
The hot chocolate was super yummy (they use syrup and not powder!) Tea was also delicious. Staff was nice, super busy and a little crammed!
google avatar

Sheila P.

Yelp
Sadly, this place was not that great. I was so looking forward to it but my lemon poppyseed cake was dry and flavorless. The coffees were OK, but also not the best quality. We got a savory biscuit and a piece of sourdough bread as well. That's probably where they shine. I wouldn't return.
google avatar

Mariel T.

Yelp
Friendly, fast service with delicious bread! I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon, and while I don't love oven-baked eggs, it did the job. The bread did all the talking. Espresso has caramel notes. We got an iced oat latte (with added caramel oops lol) and a hot latte. Croissant was quite large and flaky. The granola and yogurt was large and the hit of the day.

Rachel B.

Yelp
Stopped at Wild Flour at about 7 AM for a cup of coffee and some pastries before we drove out for sunrise at Lake Louise. There was already 5-6 people inside which emphasized what a popular stop this is in Banff. While the menu was impressive and the pastries we ordered were delicious, I wasn't very impressed by my latte. The "salted toffee" flavor was hardly noticeable, it tasted mostly like a plain latte. However, the jalapeño corn muffin was delicious and my husband loved his pastry too (a maple something that looked like a cinnamon roll). Given the many other great coffees in town, I probably wouldn't come back for that, but I enjoyed the ambience of the shop and the friendly staff.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwhich was solid. But nothing mind blowing. Got a matcha latte and it had no sweetness to it. Maybe I needed to ask? I just assumed there'd be a dash of something. Boyfriend got a dirty chai. Again solid, but nothing mind blowing. Don't think I'd come back.

Yelp
Cute little bakery in Downtown Banff. We tried their banana bread and a large mocha one morning. We went in around 8am and there was a bit of a wait to place an order. The banana bread was so moist and not overly sweet. The mocha was good too. The restrooms were clean and accessible.

Yelp
My favourite coffee shop / bakery in the whole wide world! I love the pastries and treats and the staff are always amazing!! Can not recommend Wild Flour enough!!
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
Wild Flour is definitely a popular breakfast/coffee place in Banff! We got there at around 8am and it was popping! There was a line and all the tables were taken. There was a wide selection of baked goods, sandwiches, and coffee/teas. I ordered the almond croissant, which I wasn't as flaky as I would like. It was also a tad too sweet for my preference. However, the breakfast sandwich was delicious! I really enjoyed the nice fluffy egg and cheese! So savory and delicious! In addition, the coffee was nice and strong. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere here. It was really nice and pleasant inside the cafe! If I lived here, I would have wanted to try their fresh loaves of bread!
google avatar

Yelp
The walnut maple cinnamon roll was great (strong maple flavor, fresh bread, maybe a little short on the walnuts). I was extremely disappointed that at 3:15 PM there were very few other options left. That's on me, everyone knows you should hit up bakeries in the morning. Looking at the menu, it seems like this is more of a place with sandwiches (both hot and cold) and bread, more so than pastries.

Yelp
Wild Flour was recommended to us by a tour guide on our first full day in Banff. While on the hunt for good soup, we decided to try Wild Flour. It did not disappoint. A smaller restaurant, we waited in a short line, and were lucky to find spots to when it was packed. I ordered the chicken soup, vegan caesar, and the double chocolate chip cookie. Chicken soup is not my favorite... but this was so comforting and flavorful. The vegan caesar was also surprisingly good. On our next visits to Banff, Wild Flour will be a place we come to again and again.

Yelp
We were thrilled to stumble upon wild flour while in banff. It is a great little coffee shop with lots of treats. I was particularly excited as they have a lot of gluten free and vegan options! The pastries change every day, when we went it was an orange gluten free muffin that was delicious. The service was fast and there is a decent amount of indoor seating, though it is fairly cozy so you'll be in close proximity to others. Would definitely come back again!
google avatar

Melissa A.

Yelp
enjoyed this little coffee shop. sandwich was soft and delicious with just egg but for others, may want to order with a meat as well. latte was pretty and delicious. i don't often see all three in one place; good coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. also enjoyed sitting in a window seat and people watching.
google avatar

Remy H.

Yelp
Cute cafe! We got a couple of the meat sandwiches (type of meat sandwich offered changes daily) to go for lunch on the road. They were good but not that good to justify them being $15 each. Free Wi-Fi offered here for customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall, Wild Flour is a cute coffee shop that is also a great stop for breakfast sandwiches and pastries. They open fairly early so in preparation for our hike I ended up stopping by and it was packed. It's a small indoor space so it's easier to eat outside if you're in a larger group. Don't worry about the lines though since they're quick for the meal and coffee orders. Try the breakfast sandwich and chocolate chip cookies and you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
Fantastic coffeeshop with a wide variety of caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks and beverages, plus a large variety of homemade-tasting cookies, pastries and snacks to enjoy with said beverage. Wonderful decor and great tables for meeting people or working on your computer.
google avatar

Rolly T.

Yelp
Great place for brunch. Have good selection of bread, muffins, and scones. Really enjoyed our soup and sandwiches for lunch as well. Really good coffee!!! Service is very helpful. Got free wifi as well.
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
This place seems to always be busy. There is a reason. All their food and pastries are delicious. I wish I had time to eat lunch there, but I was in a hurry. I stopped by for a latte and a pastry. I got their Wildseed bar and it was delicious. I love that it had a good amount of seeds in it. They sell loaves of bread too. The line seems long, but it goes by real quick. Don't be afraid to stop by. The staff is great too.
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
Hate to leave a poor review, but the breakfast sandwiches were really not good. Very disappointing after a morning hike that made us all hungry (and would make us less picky with the food, but even with ravenous appetites, we didn't like the sandwiches much!). The eggs weren't fresh but appeared to be prepared in advance and then re-heated. All the ingredients were just bland and stale-tasting. Latte and london fog tea were decent. The cafe was cute with friendly service and lots of tables and seating, but if you expect great food, don't carry high expectations.
google avatar

Yelp
My friends and I dropped in for breakfast during our trip to Banff. This place was highly recommended and we found out why. They had a number of pastry, breakfast, and drink options and we were super satisfied with our meals. I decided to order an iced latte with vanilla--it was creamy and delicious. With my drink I also ordered a Chocolate Croissant and an Orange Blueberry Peach Muffin. Both were extremely soft and fresh-tasting. The muffin was so moist and wasn't too sweet and it had a slight tang from the orange and I loved it!! Despite how busy the shop was there is a good amount of seating inside and outside--we could have enjoyed either options. The employees were super friendly and helpful as well. We can't wait to come back the next time we find ourselves in Banff.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Food and bakery items were delicious! service was great despite being very busy. There were 2 little birdies flying around the cafe as we ate, very cute little spot with great coffee!
google avatar

Janice B.

Yelp
We always pop in here when we are in Banff! Delicious coffee and really good baking. We especially enjoyed the seed bread this time!
google avatar

Dustin B.

Yelp
The breakfast sandwich. No further questions. And then get anything/everything from the pastry case. Coffee is very good with dairy/non-dairy options. Everyone is super friendly. And an incredible diversity of folks from around the Commonwealth, too. Ambiance is great - a few tables inside. Handful outside in the courtyard.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Pretty great breakfast place. Got their sandwich. My wife liked it so much we got another one for the road. Really great bread. The brownie was pretty crappy tho.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
I saw a review for this place advertised as Banff's hidden gem so I thought I'd try. Maybe I just I had too high of expectation because the coffee was just ok. I ordered a mocha and tasted like it was watered down. I only ended up drinking half of it. Needless to say I was disappointed.
google avatar

Matt F.

Yelp
We get breakfast every day here, ham and cheese croissant before our long hikes. Perfect for us.
google avatar

Aman G.

Yelp
Great cafe ambience. They have a variety of options for vegetarian and gluten free diets including breakfast sandwiches, panini with falafel patty and pastries. The brownie and wild seed bar are delicious gluten free options. It seems their GF bread is made fresh in-house and it was delicious. We had a latte and an almond milk iced latte as well and both were good. I feel the grilled cheese sandwich was a bit overpriced at $15 but otherwise loved this place.

Amy A.

Yelp
The latte was delicious. The carrot cake, meh. The cake was dry and hard as a brick. That was disappointing, because the flavor was on point. I'm sure when fresh, it's delicious
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Ordered coffee from here. Decaf iced mocha with oatmilk. It was good but not my favorite coffee in Banff. Very slow and kind of chaotic. It's a very small area so while you're waiting on your drink you're kind of standing on top of the people sitting to eat/drink. Wish there would've been more gluten free + dairy free options. If you're just gluten free, there are some pastry options.
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
Came here a couple times during our stay in Banff. Not only was this coffee shop right across from our hotel, but it also was one of the earliest openers in town. Since it was one of the only places open super early, the line was pretty long, but it was a nice option to have on those early hiking days. When we arrived the line was just out the door, we probably spent a total of 20 to 25 minutes from the time we lined up until the time we got our food and drink. One morning I got the breakfast sandwich and added bacon. It wasn't my favorite since it already had the peppers and onions in it, I wish it had been more customizable, but it did it's job and filled me up. The bacon was definitely a nice addition to liven it up. Another day I was in a rush and needed a quick bite for lunch, since it was later in the day the line wasn't super long, but the selection was fairly limited. Ended up ordering the veggie panini, it did take quite some time for the panini to come up, but it was piping hot when it did. Again the food was fine and did the job, but it wasn't anything too special. Would probably come back here again if visiting Banff, but would skip the breakfast sandwich, and would like to try a different panini.

Yelp
Best Scones, croissants, and tea/coffee drinks in Banff ! The drinks do take a little longer to get than the food, they have clean cups and a fountain of water that you can get a glass of water from while you wait for your drink while you eat.
google avatar

J K.

Yelp
Banff is beautiful enough but it was a pleasant surprise to find a place like this. First the coffee is solid. Their breakfast sandwiches were excellent, especially if you like sourdough as the bread was fresh and delicious. Friendly service too at the counter where you may choose to include the customary tip but you will bus your own table afterwards.
google avatar

H D P.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, great fresh pastries and sandwiches. Delicious coffee. The line might be a little long, and it can get a little cramped inside waiting for your order, but well worth it.
google avatar

Doug N.

Yelp
This place was cute and good, but I wasn't blown away. I was expecting more because so many people told me to visit Wild Flour. The service was good and the vibe is cool and mellow. My issue is that my food was average. Got the bacon, toast with jelly, croissant and coffee. The cofee was good, but not great. My issue was with the food. It took some time to get our breakfast, so maybe it was sitting for a while. Unfortunately, it wasn't hot. It wasn't even warm. I have a feeling it was sitting for a bit, because there is nothing worse than cold and hard toast. I could tell that it was all quality, but I have a feeling that the care for the meal wasn't there.

Derek P.

Yelp
Unsurprisingly, if you go before there are hundreds of people waiting in line, service is quick. The pastries were delicious, light, and warm. Their breakfast sandwiches weren't my taste but that's more of a comment about my taste buds. The bread the sandwiches were on was incredible. The staff was polite and on top of it.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Coffee was excellent. Baked goods (pumpkin muffin) was a bit dry and lacked any flavor that worked make it memorable.
google avatar

Sugandha G.

Yelp
I recently visited Wildflour in Banff and had mixed feelings about my experience. I ordered their breakfast sandwich which was a frittata served between two pieces of bread. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. I've had similar sandwiches before, so it didn't feel very unique. However, the biggest letdown was their mango mousse cake. Unfortunately, the cake was very dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. This made me question the hygiene standards of the establishment, which was a big disappointment. On a positive note, the ambience of Wildflour was quite nice. There was ample seating and a comfortable atmosphere. However, the lack of parking was a bit inconvenient. Visitors have to find nearby public parking since there's no street parking available.
