This is one of THE BEST restaurants in Seattle. Not only is the service stellar, their food is out of this world. Thai/Asian fusion truly at it's best. The Siam lettuce cups with sea bass are flavor packed with delicate fish and a bit of heat that delight the senses and make you sit up in your seat. We opted to share the sea bass cha ca was incredible. Sea bass is marinated and done to perfection. The herbs and noodles perfectly complement the fish. It has to be one of the best items on the menu. For dessert it was the chocolate mousse. Decadent and not overly rich it was the perfect ending to the meal. There are lots of GF options and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Definitely get reservations as this place is packed every time we go.

Google
K-pop trio dined at this large restaurant at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Union Street. I started with a glass of Nicolas Feiullatte Champagne ($18) while our leader chose a Ginger Martini ($15). The third member was satisfied with water as she doesn’t drink alcohol. We ordered family style: Siam Lettuce Cups ($32), Thai Passion Tofu ($19), Thai Spring Rolls ($12), and Thai Mushroom ($16.50) for starters, and a small order of Fragrant Duck ($26) and Nam’s Lamb Chops ($37) as our mains. Each dish was wonderful … there wasn’t a dish that we didn’t like. My favorites were lamb chops and tofu / eggplant dish. One ordered a Chocolate Mousse ($8.50) for dessert while I had a cup of coffee ($6). We walked out sated and satisfied and headed to Westlake Center to catch the monorail to Seattle Center. This was a great meal at a very reasonable cost, I would definitely return.

Google
2.5 stars at the most. But i still gave 3. Probably the staff was super busy and couldn’t arrange people on the day we went. Felt very unorganized, understaffed. Lot of mannerless people cut off lines and go, but staff wasnt saying anything to them. Which i felt very disrespected. Was super tired with trekking and got a reservation but shouldnt have let us treated like that. From the wait time to us getting seated it was 1 hr, after getting seated someone came to get the order after 15 mins. So the mood and intrst on the food was lost and didnt make it up for us. Food was avg aswell. Gave us a bar side table irrespective of having a reservation. Just didnt have the energy to speak up. Wouldnt blame the staff/server because he was kind and looked busy.

They were able to seat us earlier than our reservation time for dinner. We mentioned that we had a concert to attend after dinner, and they were very fast taking our order and serving food. The staff was very nice and the food was great!

Google
Really pretty place. I got Javanese vegan curry. The flavors were so good except for the spice level. But that's for me only. I think those who like spicy food should go for it. Chickpea curry had good flavors but was too salty. The curry was also a bit more spicy which was not mentioned in the dish description. Fragrant duck was tasty. Juicy on the inside and and crisp on the outside. Seven flavor beef was good too. My colleague really liked it. The atmosphere was very good. The place could use some live plants. Service was very very very good.

Google
Took my kids here and they loved it! Kids menu is crazy reasonable + we loved the green beans! My 10yr old got the famous soup and is OBSESSED.

Google
We absolutely loved the whole Wild Ginger rehearsal dinner experience from the cocktail hour/area, to the dishes, and the quietly efficient yet attentive service. The drink/food menus were very well received (especially the Sri Lankan aspect), and the staff (shoutout to Whitney) made sure everyone was well taken care of (including our guests with shellfish allergies and like when you guys grabbed our belongings as soon as we arrived). We really appreciated the custom-printed menus and are happy to have those as souvenirs. We were happy to have the private space for our friends and family...overall a great start to our wedding weekend and a 10/10 experience!

Google
Wild Ginger offers a vibrant and comfortable dining experience that feels both casual and refined. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere was lively yet relaxed. Our waitress was both personable and professional, offering insightful recommendations and checking in frequently to ensure everything was just right. She was friendly without being overbearing, making us feel welcome throughout our meal. The overall ambiance was inviting and warm, with a great balance of energy and comfort. Wild Ginger is definitely a place I’d recommend for anyone looking for great food and excellent service.

Yelp
This is one of those restaurants I wish I could give a half star rating. This is truly a 3.5 star restaurant in my opinion. Service is good, food is generally solid and safe, and the venue is nice. I would not personally come here on my own but would not mind at all for business lunch or dinner. I must have tried this restaurant about 10 times now over many years and I have to say that the quality of food remained the same before and after the pandemic. This is very impressive since many restaurants have failed to maintain their food quality. What I mean by the food being safe is that there is literally something for everyone here. Not the most authentic Asian food but that is not my expectation when visiting this venue. The main reason I wouldn't come here on my own is that the dishes are just too expensive. My favorite dishes here are the Duck and Seven Flavored beef. Egg rolls were above average (super crispy!) and the curry was surprisingly packing some heat Dessert (gelato)... you can just skip. I don't know why I even ordered it. Seven Flavored beef here is the most competitive dish imo. Great flavors and the meat they use is high quality. It was pretty busy on a Thursday evening and I was surprised to find out that they close so early! (9pm). Recommended for big groups and business meals. Food is good but not necessarily authentic to the claimed region (and that's okay!).

Yelp
Too pricy and limited options for veg/ vegan . Food was okay. Will not recommend if you are hungry and looking for good Thai food. Service and ambience is good

Yelp
Chicken potsticker - thick skin but good flavor Spring roll - interesting flavor profile. Sea bass wrap - would prefer beef or pork but it's... fine.

Yelp
This is a 3.5 stars because I like the taste of the food and the ambiance is nice, upscale but not TOO upscale. The bathrooms were nice. Service is standard, nothing amazing, but definitely satisfactory. We had a work conference in Seattle and came in a small group. The Pad Thai is very tasty, but value-wise, I think it was a little bit pricy for a serving of pad thai ($27 after tax and tip). Even in DC where food is super pricy, I've never had pad thai over $20. I think I would agree with some of the other yelpers that this is just a little bit over-priced. It just depends on what you value, if you value the ambiance, then it's probably not overpriced. I think I place importance on the overall value, with emphasis on food/price point match, which I didn't love about this place. However, I still loved my experience here.

Yelp
i met my friend here for a catch up meal and this is the best place to do it. The service was fast and welcoming + informative. big interior and dim light setting was perfect to dine in. I tried the Mongolian noodles tasted so good I ate that up. And of course I had to see what sort of Moscow mule rendition they do there: raspberry mule was AMAZING highly recommend.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
The ginger was wild, the ambiance was exactly what I needed while I overate noodles and rice. We ordered the Mongolian noodles with flank steak added (would probably not add the flank steak again, but the noodles were amazing), the kung pao chicken and green beans were great. Enjoyable conversation with our waiter PM B (that's what it said on the receipt). Not exactly traditional Thai food but good nonetheless.

Yelp
I am sad that this place fell short of our expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful and very on theme with a Thai restaurant. Our server came out quickly and was friendly. I was dining with a coworker so we ordered a few plates we planned to split. The portions here are large. Starting off to drink we both ordered a ginger ale. There aren't free refills which is always a pet peeve of mine so after one ginger ale we both switched to water. The appetizer we ordered was their lettuce wraps that had halibut in it. The lettuce was great but the main filler was overwhelmed with onion. Not the best experience. I ended up just picking out a piece of fish and lettuce and nothing else. The mains: chicken pad Thai and a prawn dish. The prawn dish neither of us liked. The sauce on top had a strange flavor and it was so thick we couldn't just scrape it off to enjoy the shrimp. The chicken pad Thai was the star. Thankfully this saved the meal for us. We both really enjoyed it and the portion was plenty to satisfy us both since our other orders weren't great. All in all if you come here get the pad Thai. I would look somewhere else and try to find a better overall experience.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the hostess Daphne! She was amazing and warm-welcoming . Also her piercings were super cool, tell her we appreciated her a lot!

Yelp
I can't relate to the middling reviews for this place. For me, wild Ginger has always been a staple of excellent food in a higher end, classy environment. I wish the street life in downtown Seattle were under a little bit more control because it makes walking to this establishment a little bit of an adventure. But I've always found the food and drink to be worth the drive in from the Tacoma area. Our favorites are the potstickers the Thai beef and I always order a Manhattan drink.

Yelp
I came to Wild Ginger from a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The location is quite perfect between the business district and the tourist area, which made it easy to find. I love the two floor concept and the large bar area. While it wasn't 100% full when I arrived, there was a steady uptick in clientele and there was a wait when I left. My bar seat was perfect as the bartender was very thoughtful bopping back and forth between guests. He told me that the seven flavor beef was one of his favorite menu items, which is perfect because that was in my eye. It definitely did not disappoint and was quite incredible. The beef was prepared well and was a great cut so it wasn't chewy or tough. The sauce had tons of flavor and was blended well so I never felt one flavor overwhelm any of the others. Be sure to get a side of rice with the dish - although it's large the rice adds the consistency that is needed. I also had the spicy Thai margarita - if you're faint on spice, avoid it. While it's not super spicy, it's definitely got a kick. Honestly, more of a kick than I had assumed so it took me by surprise, but I still liked it.

Yelp
Tasty menu with fusion South Asian dishes, including curry, satay, Pad Thai and fish. The staff were incredibly helpful when I visited, as we had a couple of dietary requirements and they helped us organise a menu which catered to all our needs. Inside, the restaurant is large and despite there being a lot of groups around it was quiet and easy to speak and enjoy.
google avatar

Ann L.

Yelp
A large group of us had dinner here and we were seated in a private room which was nice. I started with a lychee mojito which didn't seem different from a regular mojito but was still good. We shared a number of starters including spring rolls and beef satay and all were good. They really encourage sharing entrees here and we ordered a range of dishes to accommodate the tastes and dietary needs in our group. The Kung Pao chicken and 7 flavor beef were quite good and definitely a step above takeout quality. Heads up that rice is extra; it does not come with the entrees which is something I've never seen before. Service was good and the atmosphere in our private room was quiet and relaxed.

Yelp
I hadn't been to the downtown Seattle Wild Ginger in forever. It did not disappoint. I went as part of an intimate family wedding celebration, so we had the private banquet room. It was a nice size for the 11 of us. The wait staff was very prompt and kept our water glasses filled. The food came out swiftly and was overall very delicious. Our appetizer course was Spring Rolls and a beef Satay. Both were extremely delicious. The spring rolls were very hot and crisped to perfection. The sweet and sour sauce was nice and light. The beef had a delicious spice. The main meal was pretty ordered and included chinese sausage & shrimp fried rice, thai wide rice noodles, Green Curry chicken curry, and sichuan green beans. The fried rice was so good with the bits of sausage and the fried egg had a nice runny yolk that blended in very well. The wide rice noodles were a hit with everyone. The curry was probably my least favorite as it didn't have the balanced flavor of coconut, and curry that I normally like (just my palate's opinion). The sichuan green beans were almost perfectly fried and had a great flavor. We had the mandi sorbet for dessert and it was a nice and creamy delicious palate cleanser. We brought our own wine so can't speak to their wine list. My only complaint is that the waiter was not cognizant of trying to provide even pours across the 10 of us that were drinking wine. Probably cause he doesn't normally have to do that. The sad observation was that it was a Friday night and the restaurant was fairly empty. Seattle has more than its fair share of transients and so I'm sure it keeps people away. But this restaurant is worth the visit. Just park as close to the restaurant as possible and avoid walking down the North part of 3rd ave.

Yelp
Must haves: - Indian Buttered Chicken - Crispy Duck Recommended add-ons: - Skewers Could have passed on: - Lettuce cups - Dumplings Service was fast and considerate! Our dishes kept coming. Location is ideal for tourists looking to walk around the down town.

Yelp
We had a business dinner here on the recommendation of our client. This restaurant has a fairly large dining room and is very comfortable. The only nitpick I have is that the windows wrap around the corner of the building, but it has a weird location for its entrance that's not easily seen from the corner. That aside, it has a focused menu of Thai-inspired flavors that allowed our group to make a number of selections, served family style on the lazy susan mounted at the center of the table. We ordered the sea bass, kung pao chicken, green curry chicken, pad thai, a soup, and a couple of apps. The food was problematic in that there was an hammering use of the basil leaves that overshadowed nearly every single dish. The kung pao chicken was the only one that let its sweet and spicy elements shine through. The green curry was a particular disappointment with a sauce that had a gritty texture to it. The sea bass was overcooked and also completely swamped by the basil. Our soup (not sure which one) was laden with noodles and not nearly enough broth to truly enjoy the bright flavors. The service was a highlight here, with very expeditious ordering and delivery of our entrees. The kitchen seemed to be "phoning it in" unfortunately. Overall, this place is just "ok" for me but I think I'd try a different place the next time we visit Seattle.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to dine at Wild Ginger during a group event and was surprised at how much space was available. Our group had around 40 people which easily fit in dedicated space upstairs. Service was efficient as food was served family style for the event. The curries were very flavorful and they featured a delicious Thai noodle dish.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I ordered the Chicken Satay it tastes like ground chicken shoved on skewer sticks and not grilled chicken satay. The "rice cake" was super small and congealed, not good. The pickled cucumbers - well I got two. The peanut sauce was thick and runny at the same time - not good. The satay was cold, not sure if the rice cakes were meant to be cold but they were. I ate two and then decided they were too gross.

Yelp
Had a private group dinner here with family to celebrate my husband's promotion. The service is great, environment is on point , and beautiful private room for a private party. We pretty much tried every food on the menu. Overall, the food is not the best and authentic Asian food, it is pretty mush Asian fusion to accommodate everyone's taste. If you are looking for that authentic taste, might not be the right place. We loved the tuna dish, tartar with rice crackers and fried rice. You can tell the food are well made with great quality and presentation, it is just not my taste.
google avatar

Candia M.

Yelp
We come here whenever we are in Seattle visiting our son and family. Service is great. Never have had to wait long even without a reservation. But would advise making one especially if you come on the weekend. The atmosphere is modern yet warm and inviting at the same time. The food is all fantastic. We've never had a dish we didn't like. Our only complaint is that if we come with just my husband and I we always order too much food because it's all so so yummy. Definitely a place to come with four or more people than you can try more delicious dishes. I guarantee you'll love it!
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Excellent - enjoyed before a concert a couple blocks away. Waiter polite & attentive and their suggestions were excellent for apps & main. Will go again!!

Pat K.

Yelp
The food and table service are fine, but you'll wait forever to be seated at one of the many open tables- even if you have a reservation. And then you'll order food and drink... and forget what you ordered in the 30-45 minutes it takes the kitchen to deliver. Don't ever book Wild Ginger before attending a performance at Benaroya Hall. You'll be stressed out throughout while you wait for your dinner, and then you'll find yourself dashing to Benaroya Hall, hoping not to be 'that couple' that wanders in after the performance begins. I speak from (too many) experiences.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
Everything was delicious, especially the seven beef thing. A big place but not loud, which was nice, and more than adequate service.
google avatar

JT T.

Yelp
Really overpriced and mediocre Asian fusion. I've eaten here once at the actual restaurant years ago and once recently while at the Triple Door (Wild Ginger provides dinner service). Quality was poor, quantity was small, prices were high. You can get Thai food that is orders of magnitude better from nearly any mom and pop corner Thai joint in your neighborhood. I have never understood how this place manages to have multiple branches AND always looks busy. It's certainly not the quality. My guess is 1) being in "hot" locations and 2) being able to accommodate big groups. Overall, I'd skip it unless someone else is paying
google avatar

Yelp
Wild Ginger really lives up to its long established reputation. Really great food. Excellent service. And the ambiance is very nice and comfortable. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I'd like to share my experience from dinner on 14 December at your 3d Avenue place. We had a 615pm reservation and we left at 930pm. Sure, there were a couple of big groups and it was busy, and our server Alejandro told us about the policy to serve meals as they are ready and not necessarily when the whole table's entrees were complete. That's fine. There were four of us. There was a very long wait for our server to come to the table and we didn't see him as often as you'd expect. The food was delicious. My friends and I aren't rich, and we save to come to Wild Ginger to enjoy the food and the service. Last night, my date waited 20 minutes after the other three of us got served to get her entree. In the meantime, we were told three times that her fish was "on the way" when it obviously was not. I don't fault the young man carrying our food from the dinner - that guy is probably in his first job and when he delivered the meal WAY after he delivered the other 3 he knew it was wrong but what could he say? Alejandro wasn't aware that we were waiting on the 4th entree when he dropped by, a full 15 minutes after the first three meals were delivered. So, there was a service failure that night. No apologies, no visit by a senior leader, no acknowledgement that the fourth order got forgotten, nothing. Just nothing. So, is it this restirant's policy to leave it to the customer to raise a fuss with the server and request some kind of acknowledgement that we got forgotten? Am I supposed to not leave a tip? I think a restaurant of the class they are trying to be would comp something (that late meal, desserts, a few drinks) but there was nothing. I emailed the restaurant directly with this same eval to give them the opportunity to respond to this. They did nothing.

Yelp
Good variety of Asian foods. We especially like the butter chicken and the 7 spice beef. Both are excellent!

Yelp
Had a lovely meal here with a colleague during a convention at the local convention center. We needed a place to eat after a long day and even though we didn't make a reservation for 7pm on a Thursday night, they were able to accommodate us. Our server was lovely and kept our water glasses full. Although we didn't drink alcohol, they had a lovely BTG menu. We ordered three items for the table. Please be aware that this establishment is family style. Be prepared to share food!! We shared the Pad Thai and the shrimp. Food was delicious! Service was wonderful. Although it's on the pricier side, this meal was definitely worth it and probably the nicest meal we ate while in Seattle. Thanks for having us! Until next time!

Yelp
Cortney and Scott were wonderful, Food is phenomenal! A must try, and thanks to the whole team!

Yelp
This place has a fantastic ambience however very slow service. There were 4 people in our party and we were seated a few minutes earlier than our reservation time. Our server came by for an introduction and took our cocktail orders. We ordered a round of cocktails to start. I had the ginger martini, which I also recommend. The ginger flavor was subtle and refreshing. We ordered the chicken potstickers, Malay chicken satay, and wagyu beef satay to start. We also ordered the chicken pad Thai, panko prawns, and Chinese sausage & shrimp fried rice for our mains. The food in general was perfectly fine. The satays were flavorful and was even served with the pressed rice cake and pickled cucumbers. The chicken pad Thai and sausage & shrimp fried rice was equally delicious. The issue was getting the food. The dishes arrived at random times with the fried rice arriving after we have finished all of our dishes. Our server was very nice and consistently checked in on our order. Overall, not exactly a great first impression, however I'd certainly like to try this restaurant again to see if this is a one off situation.

Yelp
Had to wait half hour past reservation to be seated . Seemed very busy and rushed. Started with Singapore beef and Malay chicken as appetizers. These were very nice, but delivered luke warm from ordering to delivery. Next, tuna bruschetta. Nice flavors in ingredients but small portions. 30 minutes wait from order to delivery. Next, We ordered the "sea bass with peanuts & fresh herbs" and fragrant duck. Not very large portions. Taste was good, but again small portions. Still hungry, so ordered "hanoi tuna Fresh sashimi grade ahi tuna marinated with shallot, garlic, and turmeric, seared rare, served with almonds and dill." Still unsatisfied with small portions, so Ordered "black pepper scallop. "Menu descriptions were "Scallops are quickly seared and coated with soy sauce and black pepper." waited 30 minutes for order and scallops were lukewarm. Underwhelming experience for an expensive dinner. Long wait for entrees that clearly sat for a while before being delivered, The kitchen appear to have potential, just overcome by orders. Small portions with expensive price. Disappointed with what we received.

Yelp
I am getting hungry looking at these pictures. If you are in Seattle, you need to get here pronto! EVERY dish was absolutely fantastic and not surprising that the chef is a James Beard award winner. Their seven flavor beef is infused with lemongrass, peanuts, chilies, hoisin, basil, garlic and ginger. Wow! Angkor wat chicken... another masterpiece with their fantastic blend of herbs and spices. Chinese sausage and shrimp fried rice.. can't go wrong here with that fried egg! Sayur lodeh is their Javanese vegetarian curry has just the right blend of spice. And we had their Thai seafood noodles along with chicken pad thai. Make sure you go with friends so you can sample all the dishes!
google avatar

Smitha M.

Yelp
What a phenomenal cuisine experience! We enjoyed trying a large array of foods, it was so delicious! Loved the rich dimensions of flavors in each dish, especially the mushroom skewers! This place has sophisticated, classy vibes for family-style eating and plenty of seating, accommodating groups from sizes 2-20. One con would be a miscommunication of seating available in the restaurant, where on the phone they said it was booked fully, but when we arrived, we were seated immediately in a booth. So be sure to call ahead and even check when you arrive!
google avatar

Sean Y.

Yelp
A little bit over priced on foods vs the dish portion. When order a whole duck, we were expected a whole duck but we received half duck and the server confirmed the size was right. And half order is a quarter duck. drinks aware just on average level. Our server was great, kept coming to check on us and little chat here and there, very friendly. Atmosphere is nice, clean open kitchen. Can come back if they have sort of promotion or better deal.

Mona K.

Yelp
This restaurants looks it's hosting the board meeting of a company that's going out of business. Decor-less and strange inside. Service is very heartfelt, kind, and inexperienced. Food is PF Chang's bland. But sometimes PF Chang's is exactly what you want, so there's that.

Yelp
I'm happy to have been able to make a reservation here on Thanksgiving. Yes, the location can be a little sketchy, however, it would not deter me from dining here again. The restaurant is classy yet comfortable, dimly lit and spacious. The customer service is attentive and professional. Dinner is served family style and feel portions are just right. We ordered the Seven Flavor Beef, Chicken Green Curry, Mongolian Noodles, side of White Rice and Baby Bok Choy. (Food only was just under $100) Each dish was delicious and flavorful. My two personal favorites were the Green Curry and Seven Flavor Beef. The curry was creamy, aeromatic, complete with plenty of lemon grass. I did notice that the texture of the chicken was a little odd, perhaps processed or tenderized...? The Seven Flavor Beef was perfectly cooked, tender, coated and served on a bed of fresh sprouts and red onion slivers.

Yelp
The moment we were greeted to the time we left the customer service was amazing. The food is all good! What impressed us is how they can make many dishes gluten free for people with celiac. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I hate to write this review, but this place has gone downhill so much! :( We used to love Wild Ginger back in the day (pre-pandemic), and have been to the downtown location so many times as well as their newer SLU location. However, I decided to take my boyfriend here on his birthday last week and we had a pretty terrible experience... Our server was really nice and talkative, so nothing against him! The food just wasn't what it used to be. We were greeted by another girl who took our drink orders, but then a different server took over later. He said they were working together that night so that was fine, it was just a little confusing. Then it took about 25 mins for our drinks to come out of the bar. I remember looking at the time and was amazed cause it didn't seem that busy! Our beef skewers came out cold and dry. The scallops were pretty bland, we felt like it was missing something - a sauce or some sort of side. I thought the duck was pretty good, and the buns it came with, however the sauce was suuuper salty. We wanted to order more food cause it wasn't quite enough, and more drinks, but neither of our servers came back. The first girl was talking to a nearby table for what seemed forever. My boyfriend said it was his worst birthday ever :( Finally the second server came back and we didn't want to order anything else at that point because of everything. He gave us a free dessert for the birthday, which was super nice though! Not sure what happened, just an overall unfortunate experience, and probably won't go back. I feel like Wild Ginger used to be such a nice fancy restaurant, it's just not what it used to be. The food was lacking a lot, and pretty over priced for the size of the dishes.

Wendy F.

Yelp
Part of table of 6. Waited for two hours and never got my food - neither did two others. Addressed with waiter Scott, who stated there are other tables who are also waiting and "there are tables I have not got to yet" Complained to manager twice who said they were short staffed in the kitchen: yet others around my group and I were getting their food and they came into restaurant well after us. The food might have been great but I never found out.

Yelp
We lived in downtown Seattle for ten years and this was always a favorite. It has been 5 years since our last visit and while Covid and an inundation of homelessness have been hard on downtown Seattle we were glad to see WG open. We had an excellent server(Ben). The chicken Satay was good as always and the lettuce cups as well. The Black Pepper Scallops and the Ginger Martini didn't seem as flavorful as I remember. Only giving a 4 because my memory had it as a strong 5.

Yelp
It has been nearly four years since I went back to Wild Ginger and I am really happy I did. The ambiance is stunning. The food is really incredible and priced well under all other restaurants of that caliber and the service is the best in town. They also have delicious specialty cocktails! The highlight of my latest visit was a waitress named Angela;she was literally, a perfect server-knowledgeable, warm, attentive to the extreme without ever interrupting. Angela needs to be a trainer or mentor to all other servers in Seattle. Totally demolished our old favorite dishes like the Wild Ginger Fragrant Duck, the Mongolian Noodles, the Butter Chicken, and the green beans. The Fragrant duck with their puffy little buns are simply perfection. Next time I think I will pass on the wagyu beef skewers. They tasted weird. The downtown Goodwill Ambassadors posted in front of the restaurant made me feel a lot safer walking to my car. They let me know that they were even available to escort patrons to their destination/garage/car.

Yelp
Exceptional food with great attentive service. Lots of options for vegan/vegetarian. The energy of the space is inviting and connecting. Definitely a must try in downtown Seattle.

Yelp
A nice, (mostly Thai) Asian-fusion spot downtown -- the ambiance is super nice and they were accommodating of our group of 7 on fairly short notice. It feels like a slightly nicer spot that you might bring parents to when they visit town. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating. They had a decent selection of vegetarian options, which I really appreciated. I got the spring rolls and Mongolian noodles to share and both were really good! I especially loved the noodles, super tasty and filling. The service was a bit slow and they did forget one of my friend's meals for a while, but they were nice enough to comp that item as an apology. Overall, it's a nice spot that I would come back again to!

Yelp
Great selection of Asian foods! Their Butter Chicken is incredible! Bit of a challenge to park and get there but well worth it!

Yelp
Great place to go if you're going to Benaroya or Triple Door afterwards, both in the immediate vicinity. Reservations highly suggested, especially on performance nights. (FYI, Triple Door is owned by the same folks, so you can get Wild Ginger food while you're there. They just may not tell you that it's Wild Ginger food your getting!) A group of us went to Wild Ginger just before a Seattle Symphony performance. We chose Wild Ginger specifically because it was so close. I'm glad we did! Wait staff was responsive and nice, food was delivered reasonably quickly, and the food was fantastic. It was a great way to start the evening. For appetizers, we got a selection of thai spring rolls, siam lettuce cups, and chicken potstickers. All good, but nothing that caused me to jump out of my chair. For the main course, I ordered the Angkor Wat Chicken, which was our server's favorite. It was excellent. Nice complement of spices, chicken was juicy and savory and plenty of fresh veggies. I would order it again in a heartbeat! Another of us ordered the Chicken Chieu Salad, which she loved. Another ordered the Kabocha Squash, which she said was good, but a little "squashy". Her husband didn't like it. He ordered the Nam's Lamb Chops, and he was completely taken with them. The last couple ordered the Wagyu Beef to share, and they loved it. All in all, a great experience. What I really liked is that we didn't feel rushed or stressed at any point. When we were ready to go, we got the check pronto, paid, and walked the short block to Benaroya. Next time I go to Benaroya, I'll be going to Wild Ginger for dinner!

Yelp
I came here for a team dinner and we all had a a great time. The space is accommodating to large groups with private rooms upstairs and large tables downstairs. Everything is served family style, so it's easy to order a bunch of stuff that looks good on the menu and split it all with your group. I'm not a big curry fan, so I can't speak to those dishes and the chicken Pad Thai tastes just like it would everywhere else. The dishes that really stuck out to me were the spring rolls and the 7 flavor beef. Both were bursting with flavor and a must-try.

Yelp
After a long day of travel I opted to do take away rather than dine in. I will have to go back for that experience as this place is beautiful. The hostesses at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. I order the Thai Spiring Rolls, Kung Po Chicken and brown rice. This was so of the best Kung Po ever. Very delicious.

Yelp
Recent visit has been positive. The packing duck was excellent and the prawn noodle dish was also really good. I sent clients here sometime for dates.

Yelp
Wild Ginger is an asian fusion restaurant right next to the Benaroya Symphony Hall on 3rd Ave in downtown Seattle. It is a gigantic, attractive space with a diverse menu and a long history in Seattle. It is weird to be reviewing Wild Ginger after visiting so many times over the years. I just noticed that I had never reviewed it before. The location is a mixed blessing. There is plenty of parking nearby, and it is well located for the Sympony or Fifth Avenue theatre and a practical distance for the Paramount and ACT Theatre too. But it's on Seattles 3rd avenue which is one of the rough parts of the city post-pandemic. I don't feel unsafe there, but it's not calm and attractive either. The environment inside is very attractive - there are small and large tables, open and private rooms, a balcony that seems to be out of use and tonnes of space. Long ago it used to be a joke among friends that Wild Ginger is "hard to get into", but since they moved into this giant space that hasn't been true any more. There is also another reason for that. The menu is diverse, but not as diverse as I'd like and less good than it used to be. Generally there is a bit more spicy food than I would prefer, that limits my choice. But also the menu has gradually gotten less good over the last few years, with favourite dishes disappearing. A lot of the menu seems to be best designed for sharing in a bigger group - when there are two of us it can be hard to make selections. I used the wayback machine to to look at the menus from long ago, and things that are sorely missed include the satay bar which had many kinds of satay including lamb, boar, short ribs, and multiple kinds of chicken. This was great. Other great dishes that are gone include Lamb Bumbu, Dungeness Crab (5 options), Mandarin Chicken, and lots more. The quality of the food they are serving is still great. I like their Fragrant Duck, the Fried rice, and lots more. I do recommend this restaurant, and we still go quite often because of proximity to downtown entertainment, but it used to be really great, and now all I can say is that it is very good.

Yelp
We love Wild Ginger. In this part of town, there are unfortunately not as many options as there should be for catching dinner before a symphony or other event at Benaroya. Portions are large, and the food is solid. Plenty of well labeled vegan options as well. The food is served family style, so it comes out as it becomes available. For two people, we got an appetizer, a main, a side of rice, and a side dish, and that was more than enough. Non-alcoholic beer and mocktail options as well. Service is attentive and fast. We got seated quickly. Server came within a few minutes and picked up our drink orders. When the drinks were served, we ordered food. The server checked up on us once while eating, and then came back afterwards to see if we wanted dessert. The space is large, but well designed so it's not loud at all. Feels downright intimate if you're in a booth. Compared to pre-pandemic, the menu has gotten a little bit smaller and the prices have increased, but frankly that is to be expected. I commend Wild Ginger for sticking it out in a tough situation -- and in a tough location.
