Loved this off the downtown path location .. after being overwhelmed all week with tourism and overpopulated spots.. This was super refreshing! The drinks were amazing! I work and have worked in the service industry for 8 years and love a flavorful strong drinks , and this hit the spot . Make it for happy hour weekdays from 6-8 , and you're getting a 15$ drink for 8$! This is a must stop! We had a long day at Banff hiking and needed a good drink with amazing views by the way. ONLY critique, would be the parking... You drive around the building and everything is "reserved for individual businesses" ,so just park on the street and enjoy 🤓

After trying their rye in a cocktail program from a Drumheller establishment, I knew I had to stop in the next time I was staying around Canmore and Banff. The service was second to none even on the Friday of easter weekend, and all of the spirits were absolutely exceptional. All of the various spirit flavour profiles felt complete and deliberate. I came in to try their cocktail program and spent most of my time trying the spirits straight up as they are more than capable of speaking for themselves. It is my hope they find as much success as possible while adhering to their current values as I believe they are a steward of what Alberta distillieries are capable of. Bring a DD.

Please stay open, this place is fantastic! The vibe and also the drinks. I had such a stellar time here and drank some of the most delicious drinks. Namely the barrel aged gin the moment I sipped on this neat liquor I had an explosion of caramel and vanilla and it’s just the most fantastic gin I’ve ever tasted. They make great stickers and some cool merch and so far everyone I have met that works there is really cool too! Bravo! I added some pictures but they are not from the place gifts I brought back with me🤣 only regret is getting the small bottles of the gin! Should have gone with the big ones! Don’t make my mistakes!

Absolutely loved visiting Wild Life Distillery! We did the tour at their other location (A+) and then moved to their bar location, where we were lucky enough to meet the distiller and Rick, the bar manager. Great experience overall but Rick definitely was a treat as he gave us a taste of wonderful whisky cocktails!

We had such a good time! They have special cocktails 🍸 and between 6-8 on the weekdays, they have happy hour on some of the beverages. The bartender was super nice, and doing an amazing job with the cocktails, they were so accurate and tasty! We had around 5 drinks with a plate of cuts, the price was fair, high quality alcohol , great atmosphere, we really enjoyed spending the evening there. Highly recommend!!!

Obligated pit-stop on the way in or out of Canmore! Beautiful drinks, amazing bartender (thank you Rick!). Would def recommend and discover if you haven’t already!

We first did the tour and had a great time! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the distilling process. After the tour we made our way over to the tasting room and each of us tried different cocktails and flights. The drinks were fantastic and we also enjoyed the service. Highly recommend doing the tour and also stopping over at the tasting room!

Google
'I dare you to find one you don't like' was the opening cheeky line from the awesome bar tender at Wildlife. We took his dare and lost ;). Everything was amazing and we walked out with 2 delicious bottles of gin. We split a gin tasting and a cocktail and it was truly an experience. Also the smoothest vodka I've ever tasted. Hands down beats the Euro vodkas. Will be back.

Yelp
The best tonic syrup I've ever had. I enjoyed a number of delicious cocktails and bought some syrup and the rundle gin. I'm incredibly disappointed that I can't find the syrup locally. I brought my daughter a bottle and it fell out of her refrigerator and broke. I wanted to lick it off the floor, but managed to constrain myself. I never thought I'd shed tears over tonic syrup. I curse the day I discovered Wild Life Distillery, because until I make it back to Canada it will just be a figment of my imagination. Damn you Wild Life! You really make some amazing products. Cheers!

Yelp
Traveled to Alberta, Canada with another couple (brother and sister in law) and enjoyed the area - Canmore, Banff, etc. Stopped in at the historic Fairmont Banff Springs hotel to see its history and beauty and stopped by one of the bars for a drink - the most beautiful indigo-colored gin was on display - "Rundle Bar Gin" and so we all stopped in for a nice drink at the hotel bar on a rainy day - we so enjoyed ourselves that we decided to visit Wildlife Distillery to try their other gins - it's a small place inside of a strip mall but it was unique, funky and charming - we each tried a different drink (they looked beautiful and were delicious!) and my BIL got a flight of gins and we sampled those as well. Ended up coming home from the trip with Rundle Bar, Botanical and Rhubarb gin varieties, Had a nice charcuterie board at distillery to go with our drinks/gin samples. Staff was friendly and courteous. Gave 4 stars because the place had no "views" of the mountains (though I'm reading there is a patio but it was too cold for us to sit outside that day so we never saw it) - was getting used to overly amazing mountain views everywhere we went - but honestly, I'm being picky - this is a developing business and who knows where their next set up/tasting room will be! Didn't get there at a time for the tour but maybe next time.

Yelp
Had so much fun at this distillery, we came back twice in a few days. If you like gin, do not miss this place!! The drinks are so so creative and the bartenders, distiller, and owner are all so kind and welcoming. We had milk punch in a drink here for the first time and we are HOOKED. Still looking for a local spot that has this creative of drinks

Yelp
Great Gin cocktails in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Staff was friendly and extremely social. Great little cocktail bar attached right to the distillery.

Yelp
Wow talk about rude. We had another crappy experience here. No more. I love the botanical gin, I've had it and bought it at liquor stores. No need to come and sit in this hot, no atmosphere, no music, boring place with a rude bartender. Do not recommend. Go straight to the Sheep dog brewery and then stop at a store to buy this gin, or try another friendly distillery!!

Yelp
In a relatively unmarked and unassuming industrial warehouse in Canmore Alberta you'll find the Wild Life Distillery. From the outside, it could be any other bay in this big industrial park, but the faint glow of neon in the window tells you it's not. I was skeptical coming in here because craft distilling in the US is all over the place. Some people seem to innately understand how to make great stuff while others are in such a hurry to recoup their investments that they'll put out anything you can legally drink. Beyond that, the tasting room experiences are "wildly" different too with again, some who really know what they're doing and how to explain their offerings BUT then again, some with drinks that just shouldn't be served. Wild Life actually blew me away. The tasting room itself houses a beautiful bar and back bar to display their products, comfortable seating for guests, and a proper bar setup for the bartender working. Wild Life makes a vodka using Alberta red wheat, a classic style gin, and an Alberta gin with botanicals found only in the province! Why no whiskey? Because the Canadian government has done a great public service by not allowing anything to be called whiskey with less than four years of age! Tasting spirits straight is great but it's even more impressive when those spirits stand up and stand out in cocktails. It's even more impressive when those cocktails are made with the right attention to detail, served in the right glassware, and put over the correct ice. It's most impressive that you can find all of that in the tasting room at the Wild Life Distillery. We tried a negroni and their take on a G&T with their own tonic syrup, as well as their seasonal cocktail with pepper flakes, Alberta gin, citrus and some other yummies! Look for those recipes on the bar top when you visit. Make this the place you come wind down after a day of adventuring or make it a destination all its own. You won't be sorry. I only wish I'd thought ahead and brought a boozecase (extra suitcase to haul booze home).

Yelp
Very chill distillery/bar. Got a tour of the operation amd learned a lot about the process. After we sat on the patio and ordu a flight of some of themost varied and delicious options. Patio has nice views of the mountains. What more can you ask for? Great place to visit and a friendly knowledgeable staff.

Yelp
If you are here take the tour, you will not be disappointed. They have amazing Gin! Like nothing I've ever tried. Such friendly tenders and service too. They typically have some cheese and meat boards to serve but Sundays their suppliers are closed so not as many options! Come for their signature Gin and homemade Tonic elixir - or any of their fancy drink specials. What a treat!

Yelp
This year Wild Life Distilley had a booth at "Taste of Calgary" and I managed to try all their drinks. I have never tried them before but it was delicious! They offered: - Wild Life Vodka Sample - Wild Life Gin Sample - Wild Life Barrel Aged Vodka Sample - WIld G and T which is wild life gin and our house made craft tonic syrup - Lone Wolf Lemonade which is wild life vodka and fresh lemonade - New Fashioned Wild Barrel Aged Vodka Old Fashioned These drinks were all amazing and strong! Can't wait to have more drinks from this distillery soon !

Yelp
Delicious spirits and friendly staff happy to answer our many questions. Definitely drop by if you're in the area!

Yelp
Visited for a pre-dinner drink. The Here Comes My Girl was recommended and it was amazing. Refreshing and very smooth. Husband got the Negroni Fresa and it was enjoyable as well, but I would definitely say My Girl was my favorite. Just wish they could have shipped their gin to the US. Highly recommend making this a place to check out when visiting Canmore.

Yelp
We popped in for an afternoon Caesar during the day on NYE a couple of weeks back. The distillery was tucked way back in the industrial park (find the RCMP station and you will find it). Nice room, friendly bartender, and VERY good Caesars (I had a gin, Heather had a vodka). We took a bottle of gin home with us. A nice spot and good experience, but perhaps a tad pricey. Two Caesars and a 26 of Gin ran $87 with tip. Ouch.

Yelp
My sons and I love the wild life distillery . We dropped in one day before a hike to Johnston canyon. After a martini and quick distillery tour we bought a bottle of their vodka and gin to take with us to California. The vodka is Crisp and almost fruity with what my son and I think tastes like a subtle banana finish. The gin is clean and fresh tasting. They also have a tonic syrup that has reduced sugar ,lemon ,Lime , orange and lemongrass. It's the perfect pairing for either the vodka or gin but It needs to be refrigerated after its opened . Their staff is charming , knowledgeable and friendly. We love this local Distillery.

Yelp
Want to get something special? Here's the place. Small batch gin made with locally sourced product....yes! It's literally numbered on the bottle. The price is a bit hefty but you're also getting a gigantic bottle and it's delicious and worth it. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and quaint little bar/storefront. It just feels so good to support local.

Yelp
Excellent cocktails. Nice warming coco cafe. Greased lightning warms you up from the inside. Nice stop.

Yelp
We just happened to be walking around in the area when we stumbled a long this little facility. After walking in they told us that there would be a tour in about a half an hour, so we just sat and waited while having a drink. It's a fairly small facility, but I liked learning about the process of making their vodka, gin & tonic. We also got to taste test their products, so naturally, I walked out with a bottle of gin - and I can promise you, it didn't last long. Worth checking out if you're in the area!!

Yelp
Loved the vibes and cocktails here!! Got the stairway to heaven and it was so good. Tom was super knowledgeable and very friendly. My friend got the gin & tonic and said it was the best one she had had in her life.

Yelp
While in Canmore on vacation, I happened to see a van driving by with the name of a Distillery on the door. I quickly looked up the name and saw that it was close by. We came here for a drink to check it out. Outstanding! The cocktails are amazing and the bartenders were fantastic mixologists! Toby was informative, so nice and made incredible drinks. What a great place off the beaten path. If you want a drink that is the next step up, you have to make time to stop by. Make sure you bring a bottle home with you. Definitely get a tasting and ask questions. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
This is a local distillery that serves samples and mixed drinks. Their specialty is gin and vodka but will be expanding to whisky soon. Our host was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Cocktails are 2oz and reasonable at $12. Light and airy inside. No food, but you can order in. They sell t shirts and caps. A good place for a quick drink.

Yelp
Choose a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life seems to be the motto for the two co-founders, Matt and Keith. We came by for a distillery and tasting tour, and got a BTS look on the production of their locally sourced spirits. From their distillation room to the front bar (where they mix up some tasty cocktails!), you can see the dedication and pride they put into this place. If you're in the area, definitely check Wild Life out, you might appreciate vodka and gin even more!

Yelp
A great little find in a shopping center on the outskirts of Canmore! We strolled in to take a look and ended up staying for a couple exquisite craft cocktails! The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly, explaining a lot about each spirit and carrying on fun conversation with us. The cocktails themselves were unique and fun! I wish I could find a menu online to describe it, but just stop in to try! It's obvious the people who own and operate this distillery are passionate and pride themselves on locally-sourced, quality ingredients to make the best spirits they can. Glad we stumbled upon them!

Yelp
Cozy place with attentive bartenders. Try the Old Fashion and the Aviator. We walked out with presents for us and friends.

Yelp
The crew at Wild Life is friendly and always keeping the cocktail menu fresh. It's one of the best offerings in Alberta, with a consistently imaginative lineup of newcomers and the classics (negronis, aviations, vespers) that rival larger cities such as San Francisco, Las Vegas and New York. Great place to bring visitors after a stroll or pre-dinner for a taste of the Bow Valley. If you get hungry, they now offer Valbella charcuterie trays and you can always order Red Rock pizza in. Recommend pairing Wild Life with a visit to the nearby Sheepdog Brewing.

Yelp
These guys are the real deal. You get to meet the owners - they show you the details of how their fantastic vodka and gin are made. Try their home made tonic water - combined with that gin makes one of the best gin and tonics ever! The entire crew is putting their hearts and souls into this start up. Tasting room is clean, organized and lots of things to look at - the bar is welcoming and the staff is friendly. The back room where the magic happens is very clean, very organized and smells of heavenly malts, citrus, juniper and coriander. You won't be disappointed and ten years from now you will be able to say you met the guys that started Wild Life! They are going to be huge - soon!

Yelp
Stopped in on a rainy day on a vacation in Banff. What a pleasant surprise! Cute local establishment with super friendly and knowledgeable bartender, and spectacular drinks. Highly recommend for an afternoon spirit.

Yelp
The distillery tour and tasting was one of the best experiences I had in Calgary. They are a new smaller distillery, but their vodka and gin are something special and the people who work there are extremely knowledgeable. The tour is only $9 per person and includes a tasting where they describe the unique local flavours and how each liquor is made. I would also recommend the house made tonic syrup which they let us try and is available for purchase.

Yelp
From curiosity to passion, Wild Life Distillery became a reality a few months ago. Right in Canmore this craft distillery produces fine Gin & Vodka from Alberta wheat. I've never been much of a Gin fan but like all spirits when it is crafted well you can't help but acquire a taste for it. The Gin and Vodka here is produced with loving care and is as smooth as they come. Keith Robinson and Matt Widmer, the two founders of the distillery, have worked hard to produce some of the finest Gin and Vodka in Alberta, and perhaps Canada. Tours of the operation are given generally at 3 p.m. or upon request for special events or parties. I have learned so much about the production of gin and vodka; this knowledge alone gives me a better appreciation of spirits that I only thought of as bases for cocktails but Wild Life Products can be enjoyed by themselves. At the distillery they also concoct a great selection of cocktails and martinis and I'm pretty sure you'll see something you like on their drinks menu that you can enjoy while taking in the beautiful scenery around you. It's worth the trip to Canmore just to do a taste test. Can't get to Canmore? No worries, you can purchase Wild Life Gin & Vodka at many locations across Alberta. The latest I heard is that Co-op is carrying their product. I'm also impressed by their work ethic and philosophy of community involvement and appreciation of the community that has helped them realize their dream. Quality is a standard they strive for and the taste of their products reflects this. Check out their website to learn more about the distillery.

Yelp
They have gin and vodka and are in the process of aging whiskey. Due to Alberta law, they just began distilling whiskey, but it will take them some time to release the whiskey as it does require and aging process of three years. How do I know this? Thenkindest mixologist/bartender told us. She was quite knowledgeable and thoroughly explained many processes for beverage making to us. She was so patient with us and we learned a great deal! They really excel at their craft. If you are looking for something similar to whiskey- try the barrel aged gin.
