Wild Rabbit Bakery

Wild Rabbit is the most underrated bakery in Oakland. Seriously, their pastries are just out of this world! They might not look fancy, but when you grab your first bite, you can taste the level of craftsmanship and technique that went into making them. I don’t normally like biscuits, but theirs are soft, smooth, buttery, and they melt in your mouth. Simply put, one of best bakeries in Oakland. (They only downside is that they only open on weekends 🙃)

Got the chocolate chip cookie and a walnut cinnamon roll to bring home, absolutely blown away. The cookies are incredible-- toasted brown butter caramel flavor, chewy in the center and just crisped on the edges. The cinnamon roll also masterfully done. Must try!

OMG this are some frickin’ fantastic baked goods! N because they are so fantastic, if you don’t arrive early (before noon on a Sunday) things are gonna be sold out. So rise n shine n hop over when they open up.

This is the BEST scone I have had since leaving London!!! These treats could hold their own on the global stage- absolutely divine flavor, bake, quality of ingredients and the kindest owners around. Seriously look no further and grab some treats and coffee, sit by the lake and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

Went here for first time and people were so kind and everything looked amazing. Got the cream scone with jam plus a cookie for my partner. They even made me decaf coffee which was so kind. Pastries and coffee were excellent. My partner said it was rhe best chocolate chip cookie he has had- which given how picky he is, shows a lot! Definitely will be back

Great neighborhood spot to pick up pastries and strong coffee! Their cheddar scone had a great texture and wasn't dry at all. Also the chocolate thimble is worth a try!

The canelé was crisp all around, with a rich and toasty flavor and custardy center. The chocolate thimble is a nice decadent fudgy vertical all-edge brownie filled with more chocolate chunks. The apple, raisin, walnut roll is an excellent chunky chewy caramel-y roll The chocolate chip cookie was crisp on the edges and chewy at the center and was more cookie with a hint of chocolate. Very buttery flavor. The carrot cupcake is a mild flavored, light-but-moist cake with sweet cream cheese frosting. I personally prefer spicier cakes and cheesier frosting but it's not bad at all.

This bakery has high quality, unique pastries that are both down to earth and over the top. The "chocolate thimble" is a decadent overdose of chocolate, and each pastry has its own character. Friendly ownets Janet, Brian and Mike make it a fun visit.
