‘The Night Manager’: the globe-trotting locations behind season 2 of the spy thriller

Mediterranean-inspired and located in west London, this restaurant is where Pine first meets businesswoman Roxana, making it a key on-screen contact point in the investigation and giving the scene a stylish, sun‑drenched vibe despite being in the middle of the city. - Phil de Semlyen

Exceptional food and service. The sea bass ceviche was incredible, as was the broccoli and the steak. Not pictured but the best ever were the peppers. Great service at the bar. Wonderful open kitchen gives a great atmosphere. Got a great little London rainstorm that drove everyone inside. Classic.

Amazing place, great vibe, the ambience was perfect for a good conversation with friends. The drinks are great, but the food was awesome both in presentation and taste. The tuna tartare is a winner. The pastas were also delicious. The service was really something, shout out to Ondrej who was very friendly, enthusiastic, and took interest in his customers. Overall the experience was amazing and this is highly recommended. On top of that the area where the place is is beautiful and warrants a nice afternoon drive.

Romantically tucked away in Notting Hill, this restaurant offers a truly unique Mediterranean dining experience. Its open-concept kitchen isn't just for show; it genuinely invites you to witness the culinary magic, creating a wonderful sense of transparency and engagement. The service, particularly from Ondrej, was impeccable. He warmly greeted us with complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary, a lovely touch. We chose the Chateaubriand for two from their nightly specials board, and it was grilled and rested to absolute perfection. With a generous selection of wines and cocktails, we know we'll be back.

Drinks at the bar is a nice way to end your day. The cocktails and mocktails are high quality. The bar staff is very friendly and have great recommendations. It’s a beautiful place, the acoustics are a bit loud.

Yesterday’s experience at the restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. I had been looking forward to visiting after hearing so many positive things about both the food and service. We were a group of five, with friends visiting from Belgium, and while the food itself did not disappoint in particular, the prawn tartare and ox cheek pasta were absolutely delicious. The service fell far short of expectations and ultimately spoiled the evening. To highlight a few issues: water was never topped up unless we waved and asked, empty glasses were left on the table all night (on one occasion the waiter removed only a single glass and walked away without a word), and our mains were left sitting on the pass because we hadn’t been given cutlery. The manager had to step in to resolve this. There were no checkbacks on starters, and throughout the evening the waiter seemed disengaged and uninterested. At one point I even saw him throw something near the bar till and have what appeared to be a heated discussion with a manager. His lack of presence and professionalism really detracted from what should have been a memorable evening. To add to the disappointment, when we left, the host didn’t even say goodbye. Small touches like this make a big difference, and their absence was noticeable. Overall, while the food was excellent, the service was nowhere near the standard I had been led to expect.

Ava and the team were incredible — so warm and welcoming. We started with amazing drinks and starters, followed by steak and pasta. The night ended on a high with a complimentary dessert from the team — such a lovely touch. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back.

Good atmosphere restaurant in Notting Hill with N open kitchen. Mostly Italian dishes. I was recommended the ox cheek pasta which I make a mean version of myself but was disappointed by too little meat in this one. Taste was good though. The tortellinis were huge and needed more filling. Were recommended to start with their «fantastic» foccaccia, which was cold and nothing special. The waiter spoke with a «Godfather» accent, not sure if an act or not 🤭.
