Wild Rocket at Mount Emily

Ambience is interesting and cozy. Is a little filled up in the evening, would recommend making a reservation. Found in the corner of a hotel, it is not easy to find unless you know what you are looking for. The food was decent, and the fusion dishes could be improved, but overall was okay. The pomelo salad with tiger prawns was quite good, and the other dishes under the handmade pasta section had uneven portions. The service was efficient.

It's quite expensive for the overall dining experience. The venue is decent. The service is decent. There's no bite check or anything out of the ordinary in terms of service. There's no romantic atmosphere like you would normally expect from high end restaurants in Singapore. If you want to try modern Singapore food and you are not particular about the ambience and you are not price sensitive, then this is the place for you.

Decent, but not special. While there were "nouvelle" pairing of ingredients, the dishes were seasoned a little clumsily and without balance. You can get a grasp of the Chef intends, but it definitely wasn't getting slapped in the face by the flavour of laksa leaf. The service of the restaurant leaves much to be desired. Maybe it's because they're closing soon, but it was very understaffed and service was either inaudible or bordering on rude. Mod-Sin is a cool concept, but I don't think wild rocket is going to be missed if this is how they present their swan song

Wild Rocket has been famous in the Singapore food scene for over decade, but is closing end October 2018 so book quick if you want to try it before it's gone. Presentation and plating of all dishes is excellent, but flavours and service are middle of the road to be honest. A decade ago it was amazing but the Singapore food scene has grown a lot since then and you can now find many better, more interesting and more economical alternatives.

Our oversea friends picked this restaurant to try the Singaporean style fushion food during their short stay in Singapore. I was skeptical whether it is any good given its inaccessibility and the fact that it is situated in the hostel. We were stunned by the Zen wooden style when we walked in. The menu is simple that you can either order a la carte or set meals, and even omasake. We shared two appetizers and two main dishes among four. The waitress was friendly and was able to recommend what she thought would've been a good try that we are glad we listened to her. Free bread rolls were served. It carries the fresh baking aroma that we wishes to get a refill! The portions are very small actually, but every dish simply outperformed our expectations!! My favorite is the pomelo salad with tiger prawns and frozen coconut dressing, which has a perfectly balanced taste! Though it is very pricing (30 ++ for appetizers) and quite noisy (full house on a Saturday evening), I would go back to try other dishes for sure!

Chef did a great job incorporating Singapore flavours into Western concepts. The food is great and lunch menu is actually very affordable with this quality. The place is a little off the grid and it's a nice cozy ambience.

Went for lunch in a quiet afternoon. The ambience is excellent. The food is generally good but without the oomph effect. We like some of the item but not all. Love the the pomelo salad with frozen coconut dressing. The cendol dessert is nice. The handmade pasta is disappointing. Especially the nori prawn one, the pasta is undercooked and the texture is not what we expecting. The chocolate fudge gng tng dessert is presented beautifully but the combination of the taste doesn't feel right.

Great food, Modern Singapore fine dining place to go to. Should visit at least once in Singapore. Super friendly chef owner and amazing service from their waiter and waitress. Amazing atmosphere, and very unique menu. A great way to experience Singapore hawker food.
