Wild Roots Opens New Tasting Room in Northeast Portland - Eater Portland

"Wild Roots has opened a new tasting room on distillery row, serving frozen boozy slushies, mini-cocktails, and flights of its famous Oregon fruit vodkas. Its winter opening slipped under the radar, opening in mid-February blocks from its original location. The new tasting room is closer to a sleek bar, with a full menu of $5 mini-cocktails as well as the traditional spirit flights. The tasting room also offers two spiked slushies: A frozen apple cider slushy with a choice of apple cinnamon or cranberry vodka, and a cranberry-lime freeze with pear vodka. Wild Roots is likely best known for its marionberry vodka, infused with Oregon’s most famous berry — it’s often a component of Oregon’s twists on lemon drops. The tasting room pours 10 vodkas as well as a gin, infused with fruits like huckleberry, pear, and cherry. The tasting room offers flights of five vodkas for $10. The bar can accommodate 47 visitors between its six-seat bar and lounge space, surrounded by bright white walls and floor-to-ceiling windows. Okay! This was one of the BEST mini dates my husband have been on. We got a tasting voucher off Groupon and I will forever be recommending this spot and taking friends and family. Not only was it so cute inside the vodka was so good! And the cocktails even better! The gal working was fun and kind. We truly had so much freaking fun and can’t wait to come back. We bought a bottle of the Marionberry to make drinks at home with dinner tonight! Thank you for such a fun day date spot!

Absolutely amazing! Nicely laid out inside, my friend and I got the cocktail flights which were delicious and well priced. Had a great conversation with the bartender and left with some bottles for myself. I'll definitely be back!

I went in today for the tasting flight and had a great experience! The vodkas are high quality and have an impressive array of flavors and character. This is the first time I've encountered a vodka that is a pleasure to drink without a mixer, though the spirits are great mixed as well. The man who poured my flight is one of the partners and told the whole story of the distillery and of the individual spirits while creating a keeping a homey and relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be a return customer!

Delicious selection of naturally infused, house distilled vodkas. Absolutely no fillers or additives. Love that the tasting is free if you buy a bottle. Nice selection of $5 mini cocktails, one for each flavor of vodka. Really sweet server girl. Highly recommend!
