"Wilde Rose’s larger location on SW 6th Avenue represents a welcome return to the comfortable couches and cluttered bookshelves that defined Portland coffee shops of yore. The seasonal menu sports a selection of decadent lattes and mochas, including a slightly nutty pecan pie latte and an intriguing hybrid of chai and cider — naturally called “chaider.” A favorite of sleep-deprived PSU students and teachers alike, Wild Rose has a cozy college town feeling that’s a welcome sanctuary among the blustery South Park Blocks." - Ben Coleman, Janey Wong

Coffee was mid… latte had too much foam. Got a pastry and they heated it up but it tasted like it came out of a microwave :( Vibes were sooo cute tho and staff was very friendly ! I will be back for sure.

My friend and I came here for some coworking and it’s SUCH A CUTE GIRLY SPOT! There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and all the baristas are so cute and friendly. Feels like a girl sleepover in a coffee shop. It’s super close to PSU so I think it’s a popular spot for the college kids. Great recommendation.

I got the wild rose latte and it seems to be an acquired taste. If you like strong rose flavored- this is for you. Definitely catered decor for the local college community and it is spacious to sit and have a coffee. There is an entrance on 6th st or there is a door connecting to the restaurant next door

Let me share why Wild Rose Coffee leads the pack in runnings for greatest Cafe in Portland. First, the digs. This shop has all the charming personality and character of your pleasantly eccentric and enchanting aunt from the 70's. In a retinue of PDX cafes, Wild Rose stands proudly blooming from the concrete sea. With woodgrain tables, amber, burgundy, and olive furnishings, cozy seating (including a burnt-orange rocker), swirling floral accents, and curious quirks like a chicken-wire wall window, a glowing neon chili-pepper/butt-cheek sign, and a Ilikebigmugs WIFI password, Wild Rose’s charm is undeniable. Need new literature? They have an in-house Free Little Library. Have love for bees and pollinators? Buy a $1 "seed bomb" to add springtime blossoms to your porch from their Flower Power vending machine. Oh, have I mentioned the team? Wild Rose hosts a spirited motley of colorfully kind characters who exude and cultivate the same lovely, accepting, imperfectly perfect atmosphere you'll bask in the moment you enter and see their warmhearted decor. Of this distinctive cadre is Harrison, the only member of this enclave that has a Portland street named after him. Upon asking for recommendations from their bevy of bevvies, a kind barista named Ash had the otherworldly modesty to not even mention the mystical elixir of tawny rocket fuel that is their signature drink on Wild Rose's menu, known as… The Ash. This cold brew ambrosia will send your senses and heart all aflutter. Caramel tingles float atop smoothly subdued vanilla-imbued coffee that will gently lower your eyelids as your smile grows. Begin living life again. Treat yourself to Wild Rose ❤️🌹 ❤️

Went there to get a drink and draw for a while. Wonderful vibe, great music and lots of variety in seating. I had a garlic bagel and a tiki energy drink, both were great. The bagel was toasted perfect and tasted fantastic! Will absolutely be going again!

Loved the funky and comfy vibe here. The menu had great spins on lattes including the Boba Latte that had brown sugar boba. I also appreciated the golden milk as a non-coffee drinker. It had great flavors for a morning pick-me-up with the ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, salt and pepper. And the barista was so friendly and helpful.

I’ve been to Wild Rose 2-3x and I’m not impressed by the food, coffee or atmosphere. I’m splitting this review into atmosphere and food/drinks. ATMOSPHERE: My group and I had to meet at Wild Rose twice to have a long meeting due to it being close to campus and open longer than Ovation nearby. The staff were SO LOUD. Shockingly so. We had a hard time hearing each other and the one member who was on zoom. People usually go to coffee shops to complete work or meet with people and that’s hard to do when the staff are talking to each other extremely loud. I don’t have an issue with them talking to each other and having fun when there’s no customers for them to take orders but their volume was an issue. We had to have a 2nd meeting there a week later and were worried about the noise level because of our previous experience. When I got there I called one of my group members and the staff were being super loud again, so much so that my group member THROUGH THE PHONE, could hear them (mind you I’m not standing right next to the workers) and could tell it would be an issue and we decided/had to relocate. FOOD: I’ve gotten iced coffee drinks here twice and each time I felt like they had an underlying powdery/chalky taste. The staff was kind/helpful one of the times I asked if they could add more vanilla syrup. I got a cinnamon muffin that a staff member recommended and an everything bagel. They were both underwhelming in my opinion. The everything bagel only had one kind of seed on top and no flavor which kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion. Also there’s a cute little vending machine with crayon animals that support a non-profit I believe but the vending machine doesn’t work😭 that added to my disappointment

So, it's definitely delicious. All the employees are hella nice. Cold brews I've gotten are so dang balanced and great. Absolutely recommend. Order off the Joe app and get points. They add up so quickly.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop. Very vintage/artsy atmosphere. Wonderful customer service and lots of menu options. They also have local handmade items and art for sale.

Yelp
This coffee shop is so cute and funky. The perfect place to study or meet friends. The barista was super friendly. But sadly the pastries I tried were kind of gross. I love a good croissant, but these were far from good.

Andrew A.

Yelp
Spacious, but most seating that can accommodate multiple people are occupied by one person. Replacing the long leather bench sofa with a large community table would be a welcomed upgrade. One of their specialities, the iced Matcha Made in Heaven, is clever and satisfying. Nice staff. The food offerings are weak. And there's something missing that would make the place overall cozier. Bathrooms are kinda gross. While I root for their success, it's just an average coffee shop.

Yelp
Great place to camp down and study, very close to the university and was filled with students. It's a very cool 70s vibe and cute interior, and the baristas were very friendly. HOWEVER easily the worst caramel iced coffees I've had in Portland.

Ploy N.

Yelp
Super cute and cozy coffee spot with creative seasonal drinks, as well as your usual espresso drinks. Loved the theme and ambience inside with eclectic trinkets for decoration. We tried the Cookie Latte and French Toast Chai. Both were tasty, albeit being on the sweet side. Totally would like to come back!

Yelp
So I did my schooling at PSU and let me start by saying that if wild Rose existed back then I would have frequent this place a lot. We came one cold rainy morning to grab coffee and were really taken in by the old world charm this place exudes yet it was full of young people. Cute knickknacks adorn the walls and multiple seating options offer a good space to hangout or just study . I got my usual order of a cappuccino and the hubby got the golden latte along with a very delicious looking chocolate cookie and Ham and cheese sandwich. The drinks didn't take too long and neither did the food and the staff was sweet enough to even offer to warm it up for us. I must say that warming up the cookie was a great idea because that delicious gooey goodness just increased ten folds. I was not a big fan of the ham and cheese croissant, but the drinks were pretty good. The staff is very sweet and friendly, and the pricing seemed reasonable.

Yelp
Was looking for food with my coffee. Checked the website, nothing listed. By happenstance I ended up here anyway. When I saw they had food on a menu inside I expressed my delight and simply said Man I almost missed out because there isn't food online. The cashier curtly said they do on the app. -_- ok. My coffee was mediocre at best. My Sammy was literally slapped together, egg all off the side, maybe he didn't like my comment? The roll was rather dry as well. Won't be going here again, more because of his curt attitude opposed to the sloppy/mediocre food and coffee I received.

Yelp
During my visit to Portland I found this cool spot. Tried the Pecan pie mocha and the sugar and spice latte. Both very good. I thought the sugar and spice was more to my liking. Baristas we're very nice and friendly.

Yelp
The most watered down black coffee I've ever tasted. It's just water with coffee essence. Specialty drinks taste like dirt, but at least that's an improvement from their flavorless black coffee. Normally people who buy instant coffee do so because it's cheaper, but the worst instant coffee will taste miles better than anything on their menu. I come here with friends every now and then, it's a cozy spot (always too warm), staff are friendly, but please spend your money anywhere else

Steve L.

Yelp
Their pastries are out of this world. I especially like their "pop tarts". I need to have at least one a week. Really friendly staff and great vibes.

Yelp
What a cute place! I was able to try Wild Rose while visiting Portland for Thanksgiving. My understanding is that Wild Rose recently opened its brick-and-mortar location after a successful run as a coffee cart/truck. I enjoyed my visit! I ordered the special of the day: a macadamia nut latte. It was tasty, but what impressed me was the bagel breakfast sandwich. For a simple sandwich (no fancy ingredients or frills), it really hit the spot. Plus the sandwich was a good value. It kept me full for hours for a low cost. The space is cute. It's on the smaller side, so I wouldn't plan to spend a significant amount of time there to work or to hang out with a group. But for a quick coffee and breakfast, especially on the way to work, this place is a great option.

Yelp
Ordered a pickup cold brew with boba and sweet foam. service was friendly and great as usual. Boba was absolutely disgusting and I wound up running home to pour the coffee into a new cup so i could toss the boba- it was a horrible texture, like a cross of popping boba and agar jelly. It definitely should have been tossed out/remade 2 hours before. Cold brew was very sour/bitter this time, like sipping on apple cider vinegar. I added a bunch of milk and a shot back at home and it helped a lot, but at that point I may as well have made a coffee at home and saved myself the 8$. Was very disappointed (and a little grossed out) and probably won't come back when Nossa and Ole are so close.

Yelp
Wild Rose is the cutest coffee shop. So fun to hang out in. The coffee is great. The employees are amazing and friendly. Ashley the owner is so kind, i highly recommend this coffee shop.

Claire L.

Yelp
This is the cutest coffee shop I've ever been to and their specialty drinks are to die for. It's definitely the best spot to get some amazing coffee and service. The shop also has a great chit-chat or study environment. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
Started as a coffee trailer and now just opened their brick & mortar just a month ago, Wild Rose Coffee is a super delightful stop as I waited for my bus on an early and cloudy Sunday. My day was instantly brightened up but the cheerful welcome from the baristas. I ordered an oat milk latte and it was absolutely tasty. Upon the first sip, I was hit by the strong espresso in the best way possible. Some of their unique menu offerings that caught my eye included their Golden latte, Bee pollen latte, and Boba latte. Intriguing! I can't wait to try these on my next visit. Quality in a cup, I have no doubt Wild Rose coffee will flourish well in this corner of downtown!! Will absolutely be coming back!!

Taylor S.

Yelp
This place is the cutest! I wish they would bring back the flavored foam tops they used to do! That was what made me love the place! Now it comes from a store bought can which is disappointing. :/ maybe some day I can hope it'll come back. It made the coffee place stand out from the rest cause you could make it flavorful. :/

Julia E.

Yelp
a cute & cozy lil coffee shop!! i always get their namesake latte which is so perfect!

Sara B.

Yelp
Absolutely the nicest folks and such a cozy atmosphere! It feels like sitting in the living room at home. If you haven't tried them yet, stop by and hang out. You won't be disappointed

Robin S.

Yelp
Nice coffee shop. I like the cozy space.

Tessa P.

Yelp
This is the cutest place ever! The owner, Ashley, is a doll. A large drink is 20 ounces! Amazing. Great taste. Delightful Decorations. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
I love this coffee shop so much, the quality of the coffee is impeccable. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and the ambience of the cafe is super cozy. Definitely the perfect place to go with friends or family or to study for a bit!

William J.

Yelp
Ahhhhhhhmazing coffee and pastries!! I ordered a chocolate croissant and a flat white, both were stellar!! Highly recommend!!!

Kayson S.

Yelp
Stopped in Wild Rose after an appointment in the area. Loved the decor, the music playing, the all around ambiance was very nice. The decor was probably my favorite thing, the coffee can light & the neon sign especially. Barista was super sweet too. Would forsure stop here again.

Janel A.

Yelp
Delish coffee and food. Cute little spot. Honestly, the only reason for 4 stars is that it was pretty busy and so the food took a while to get.

Amanda B.

Yelp
This place is Right down the street from the PSU farmers market! It's got this cute vintage vibe. Staff is super friendly. Great food and drink options - including allergen friendly options. Prices are good. And they let you bring all the cute pups in! I was in heaven! Definitely a cool place to meet up or study!

John T.

Yelp
Glad to support a new coffee shop in the neighborhood. Owner does a great job finding quality products.

Maeve M.

Yelp
this place has taught me one thing and that one thing is nice people do not equal nice coffee

Stacy M.

Yelp
We adore this place! The coffee is delicious!!! OMG!!! Love the staff with their amazing energy! We walked here every morning while we were visiting my family locally. We even looked up the website and hope to order the "whoa, dude!" espresso coffee beans for us when we get back home! LOVE this place!

Tristan A.

Yelp
Cutest vibe, great energy. The baristas are super sweet and fun to talk to! Overall love this place. Always great merch too

Hannah M.

Yelp
Wonderful staff, coffee selection, and atmosphere. It would be cool if you guys did some soups during the cold season! Great place to study!

Kira W.

Yelp
Not only was the coffee great but the store is so so cute!! Loved the vibes in there and the baristas are very sweet

Lisandro D.

Yelp
Great staff and they bag up their used coffee grounds, and give it away free for people to put in there garden! How cool is that? Oh and they make a great cup of coffee!
