The woman at the counter was inviting and communicative. She was always buzzing around doing something when she wasn't helping customers. She is with her weight in gold. We ordered the Wilda and House dogs with a side of onion rings. The Wilda was good, but the House was better. The sauerkraut maybe didn't go well with the dog, while the simplicity of the House dog just sang with the Wilda's Mustard. We did sub out chopped onions in favor of grilled onions on the house dog. The onion rings were terrific with the crunch of the batter and the light flavor that highlighted the onion. The garlic aoli was good, if a little underwhelming on flavor and tasted like plain mayo. The atmosphere was ok, but we weren't big on the artwork. The music selection was good, but a little on the noisy side. The place was clean in large just to the buzzing woman at the counter.

This is all I want when I visit Redding. It never disappoints; the food is always consistent, and the staff are all so welcoming. The Buddha bowls are a must-try with a side of falafel.

Brandon H.

Google
Justin really does run that place like a pro, and you’re not wrong at all—the medium-rare steak bowl is on another level. The way they cook the steak keeps it tender and flavorful instead of drying it out like most fast-casual bowls. Total sleeper pick compared to the chicken. And yeah, that pink sauce is criminally underrated. Calling it “pink sauce” doesn’t do it justice—it’s basically a garlicky, creamy magic sauce, and extra is mandatory. Once you know, you know.

Google
I love this place. So do my kids. What you get for the price is unmatched, I think. Heaps of healthy, tasty, filling food. That's good for you. One Buddha bowl feeds two kids and costs less than another local healthy food place charges for a wrap. 🤷‍♂️ Lovely staff. Clean, healthy food. Thank you for what you provide, Wildas!

Google
used to be my favorite place ordered a falafel buddy bowl was excited as i have t been here in a while and it came with 2 burnt falafels didn’t they add more before? wasting money in this economy? makes me not want to come back sadly..

Google
Was driving through Reading. Redding has no idea they have a gem of a food spot. Flavor wise and fusion is simply phenomenal. Highly recommend the Buddha bowl with your choice of protein and half falafel. Portion is generous. Loveddd.

Google
I got the house dog, and it was really good. The artwork really adds well to the overall atmosphere!

Google
Wilda's has awesome food. I had a Roasted garlic dog - pickled onions, roast garlic, bleu cheese, and a huge broiled polish sausage and a bun to die for. Also a huge falafel pita sandwich cabbage, red onions, cukes nestled in naan. Fricken awesome dressing were both huge and tasty. My wife had a Wilda's dog with cheddar, bacon, and grilled onions. 😋 The total, with a side of fries, ran $33. Good value for great food and generous servings. Also good ambience. Nice art and music.

Yelp
Wilda's Grill is one of the best local restaurants in Redding. They have a cultural variety of fast-casual lunch menu options, but my favorites are the Hot Pastrami followed by the popular Buddha Bowl, and you've got to try their sweet potato fries with that garlic aoili. They have great service, great music, and great food for dining in or takeout.

Yelp
Ordered the Buddha bowl with tofu. I thought it was going to be a cold salad with cubes of tofu but when I went to pick it up it was warm. Wow such a treat to have beans, rice , and hot tofu, and salad greens. I feel really happy and healthy eating this. Service was very friendly and place was busy, this place must be good

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place. I ordered online and it was ready in ten minutes. Lots of people enjoying their meal outdoors which added a very friendly feel to the place. I got the falafel, I loved the yogurt dressing because it was so refreshing with every bite. Definitely a lighter meal which was much needed. This was my first time trying falafel and I was very impressed, lots of flavor and super delicious. The nan has a nice char on the bubbles. The lemonade was not too sour and the perfect amount of sweet. I would definitely come back since now I'm curious to try more food off their menu!

Michael D.

Yelp
All I can say is try the Buddha Bowl. This is a somewhat spiritual experience and the tastes are so good it really is worth the hype. I wish I could eat here more often .
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered the Falafel this time and it definitely didn't disappoint! Loaded with freshness and so tasty! I'll be sure to order this again

Yelp
First time being here. The food is excellent the onion rings are one of the best I've had so far, the steak buddha bowl is good. Service is awesome friendly employees here. The atmosphere is good you can eat inside or outside. I do recommend this place will be back again.

Yelp
Vegetarian best bet in Redding remains consistent and delicious! The Buddha Bowl can't be improved upon. I don't love the short hours but we made 5 pm dinner time work to accommodate them. Ambiance free outside but there are a few tables so your dog can snarfle around for any bites you carelessly drop.
google avatar

Hayley M.

Yelp
This was a great find for a vegan. Loved the Buddha bowl with delicious falafels and added tofu. Will come back for sure next time we are driving through!

Heather-Rachelle B.

Yelp
I got the falafel wrap; it was spectacular!! I would sub adding the spicy sauce to it to really add a kick. Safire is awesome and provides great advice and her energetic attitude makes her a joy to be around! Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Bordering 4/5 stars. Everything we got was delish and good size portions. Service was super nice and fast as well. Sour dough rolls were perfectly toasted, each dog was juicy and flavorful. Highly recommend the bbq! 1 dog is very filling, hubby got 2 and was overly stuffed but still wanted a 3rd. Easy to find seating even though they were busy. Only reason I didn't give a full 5 was there was really only 1 veggie option, the falafel. No veggie dogs and no eggplant like what some other reviewers posted. I would come back again if we are ever near here.

Yelp
I have already been here a couple times and keep forgetting to take pictures of my falafel dish because I just gobble it all down. Cute place for grabbing a quick bite or going on a casual eating out with a friend. Amazing prices with delicious food. They also have a large selection of some canned Herb matte in their mini fridge! When I'm in Redding and looking for a quick meal that isn't going to kill my pockets, this is my spot. You have to get extra cilantro sauce, it is so good and they do charge thirty something cents for it. Might as well buy an extra sauce with your food to save the hassle. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I had a wonderful dining experience here after a long stretch of burgers and fries on the road. This place was exactly what we needed. The service was excellent, with two friendly girls at the front who greeted us with warm smiles. The restaurant was impeccably clean, and I noticed the staff diligently cleaning even the smallest smudges. The food was amazing, satisfying our cravings perfectly.

Yelp
I have been going to Wilda's for 10+ years to eat their yummy vegan Buddha Bowls. The food is great. The price is right. And the staff are all so friendly. I highly recommend Wildas for their vegan food.

Yelp
Super quick service and food was good! I got the chicken Buddha bowl. Chicken was a bit dry but still good with everything else. Would order again =)

Yelp
This is a great place for a lunch stop when passing through Redding, especially if you like falafels and hot dogs! For me, it's hard to find a falafel that compares with my favorite place back in Los Angeles but this one was really good! Plus, it only costs $8.95! My husband is the hot dog fan and he went for the Wilda's Dog which comes with "Wilda's mustard," sauerkraut, bacon crumbles, and grilled onions. It only costs $7.25 and with all those toppings it is massive! The service was pretty fast but it was a little warm inside when we were there. We would stop by again when passing through town.

Konstantin V.

Yelp
Awesome place with clean food. Been here twice over last few years once when I stayed in Reading for the night and another on the way to Seattle from Bay Area while charging. It's about 10 min walk from the super charger and makes for great travel food. Both times we got Buddha Bowls and you really can't go wrong. It's crunchy, it's got chicken, veggies and protein and the most importantly it's tastes great.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
The food here is the best! The Buddha Bowl are like chipotle, but seem to be healthier and taste so good. My favorite is the Buddha both bowl. It comes with chicken and spicy tofu. It comes in a little Togo box, but so much fits within the box. This place is cheap and my go to lunch spot. I always order online through doordash, but may be a little cheaper if you order there in person. About 10 dollars a meal, which is very good nowadays. If you get the hot dogs they are even cheaper.

Yelp
Wilda's Grill sits right behind the Dairy Queen in a mini mall on Churn Creek. As you walk in, order at the front and take your seat. They have self serve water but have to ask for a cup! Buddha Bowl w/ chicken and tofu - 10 - What a flavor combination!!! I would have never come with with this concoction but it is full of labors and spice with an adventure in every bite. The Chinese food container it's served in is cute, but makes it challenging to eat until it's half gone but you'll already be full. Hot Pastrami - 9 - The pastrami was moist, tender and full of flavor. The bun was so soft and the perfect thickness. It was also filled with banana peppers I would have liked a touch of mustard and Swiss cheese. Sweet Potato Fries - 8 - Slightly less crisp than I prefer and the garlic aoli it's served with just doesn't work for me The fries taste good on their own though. This place was poppin' on a Friday afternoon but we were able to find a table without a wait. This is my new favorite place to eat in Tedding!

Yelp
Came here as a pit stop to the Shasta caverns. It's clean, lots of indoor seating, and many different options for hot dogs or Buddha bowl. We got the Buddha bowl (brown rice, beans, cabbage) with falafel, regular plain hot dog, and fries. Highly recommend the Buddha bowl, but not the plain hotdog - husband hated it because it tasted like it was boiled instead of grilled, so it was a bit soggy and cold. Toddler loved their fries and I loved their Buddha bowl - so good! I wouldn't come here for the hotdogs; definitely recommend coming here for the Buddha bowls!
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
We stopped here on the way from the bay area to Lassen National Park. It was a great stop, not too far from the highway. Although there were people there, the food didn't take long. The bathroom was very clean and there was plenty of seating. We ordered french friends, a hot dog for our son and the Buddha Bowl - one tofu and one chicken. The food was delicious, and the price was great. I'd stop here again when passing through!

Ginny B.

Yelp
I had no idea that this was here, but now that I know, I will be back! Excellent food, excellent service, great experience. The Buddha Bowl is definitely the bomb!

Charlie S.

Yelp
I love Wilda's! We get the Buddha bowls and ask for extra pink sauce on the side. We also love one of the hotdogs, it's got caramelized onions, balsamic and blue cheese. I personally don't like blue cheese and wish it was feta but the onions mostly hide the blue cheese. Took one star because it is a little expensive.

Nicol E.

Yelp
The food is great. The mustard? To die for. The issue? QUALITY CONTROL! I love to get a tofu Buddha bowl but the last several times I have gotten one something has been wrong with it. One had an INSANE amount of cilantro. One had only 5 pieces of tofu. One had so much sauce in it I literally had to throw it out because it was inedible. Another I added avocado and there were literally 2 slices of avocado. If I'm paying more than the cost of an avocado for you to add some to my dish, you better give me at least half an avocado. Somebody needs to seriously look at how they train people and what quality they're willing to put their name on. Maybe it's the pay or poor management, because they're almost always hiring. If you don't take care of your employees, they won't give a crap about your quality or reputation.

David P.

Yelp
Very much literally speaking, the best fries I and dip I've ever eaten are here. The waitress was sweet, helpful, and made our stay awesome.

Bert B.

Yelp
excellent service, good food, great staff. nice setting. . .but Sapphire is super sweet!!

Yelp
GO, everything fresh and wholsome. Best fast food in town, period. I get to go. Quick
google avatar

Emily F.

Yelp
We found Wilda's while looking for a quick lunch on the go. We noticed they did a great job with the current COVID rules, outdoor dining only, no indoor dining, a protective barrier for the gal taking orders, and plenty of space to be social distanced while waiting for your food. We greatly appreciated the efforts they have taken to keep customers and staff safe during this time. We ordered 2 Buddha bowls with chicken and a side of sweet potato fries (the regular French fries are not gluten free). The Buddha bowls were HUGE and we easily could have shared one for the two of us. But they were delicious packed with ingredients-- cabbage, chicken, beans, rice, jalapeños, and a super tasty Asian sauce. It was a filling, hearty, and still nutritious meal that we look forward to eating again! Thanks for a great experience Wilda's.
google avatar

Cara R.

Yelp
Buddha bowls are really good! We got a chicken one and a tofu one and added a falafel to each so we could try them. Loved the bowls, but the falafels are more on the soft side rather than having a crispy outside, so neither of us really cared for them. The bowls are a huge portion size at a good price point (around $10) and tasty at that. Would definitely come back for those.
google avatar

Matt W.

Yelp
Nice clean restaurant. Friendly service and my meal was ready quickly. I had the Wilda hotdog and it was delicious. Fair price for a huge hotdog.
google avatar

Don H.

Yelp
Very delicious food and a nice variety or twist on Hot Dogs . The service was great and they offer outside seating, which is nice in the Spring but a little hot during the summer.
google avatar

Carolyn D.

Yelp
We were tourists in redding for a few days and decided to check out Wildas grill because it seemed to be one of the popular joints in town. My bf and I were surprised that a hot dog place was known for their salad bowl instead of their hot dogs (it was also the biggest flashiest thing on the menu!) So of course we went with the buddha bowl and it was pretty up to par! Think a chipotle bowl but hot and more flavor. We got it togo and the box was pretty annoying though. They tried to fit a whole meal into a tiny takeout box making it hard to mix.. we ate everything on top first and ended up eating the rice and beans in the bottom separately
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
Wilda's had the best Bowls! They're always delicious and a hearty serving. My go to is a Chicken Buddha Bowl with everything. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy!

Jodie W.

Yelp
Love the Budah Bowl! Sauce is super tasty. Healthy and fresh option with left overs. Service is quick and efficient Redding is lucky to have this place.
google avatar

Kacey S.

Yelp
They have quite the interesting mix on the menu, but the food was delicious. Their Budda Bowl was such a unique combination and so yummy! Thank you for a lovely lunch!
google avatar

Elle J.

Yelp
Love the Buddha bowls here! My favorite is the falafel with extra pink sauce! I have also tried a couple of their hot dogs and those were also tasty, BUT I must say the hot dogs are WAY OVER PRICED for what you are served. The service is walk up and is average at the counter service. The interior has uncomfortably hard chairs and small tables but gets the job done.
google avatar

Sheridan T.

Yelp
Stopped by Wilda's for lunch on a road trip from California to Oregon. Delicious fully loaded hot dogs! The order online feature was easy to use from my phone and when we arrived 10 minutes later our order was hot and ready for us. We loved the BBQ dog and House dog.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
I doordashed a Buddah Bowl last night about an hour before closing... So I didn't expect the freshest ingredients. But the bowl smelt and tasted sour... And the falafel was hard and maybe under cooked? Not on par with their usual amazing food. The sweet potato fries did arrive hot tho & they were delicious so two stars for them! Doordash did refund me for the bowl, but it did make me physically sick... So worth mentioning still.
google avatar

Karina V.

Yelp
Delicious quality hot dogs!! Can't go wrong here, they have the softest bread that they toast to yummy perfection! Try their house lemonade, perfectly tart and not too sweet! Love how clean this place is, the staff friendly and knowledgeable! Also, all the staff wearing mask!! Felt very safe, thank you!!!
google avatar

Trust But Verify 1.

Yelp
Lets all chant "buddha bowl, buddha bowl!" I was stunned by this thing.....and that's coming from a carnivore. The flavor and freshness were amazing. I ordered mine as half chicken and half falafel. The rice, chicken and falafel were delightfully warm, while the veggies remained cool and crisp. It's one of those dishes that you don't regret consuming after you've polished off the entire order. And if you're dining with furry kids, there's plenty of outdoor seating on the front and back patios.
google avatar

Matt J.

Yelp
Can't say enought about this gem! My wife got the garlic dog, not pictured bc it was gone too fast, lol. My bowl and onion rings w melted cheddar were off the chain. Their house made Sriracha and mustard dips are on point. Fresh squeezed lemonade = another level. Thanks Wildas!!
google avatar

Gilbert S.

Yelp
Great salads! They are tasty, fresh, and quality products. Nice, friendly staff! I always take visitors from out of town who always say they want to go back!
google avatar

Cat M.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of this place. I admit that I always get a version of the Buddha bowl, but someone I'm with usually orders one of Wildas delicious hot dogs. It's all good! The onion rings are also a yummy surprise and something we always have to get. The service is quick and the workers are always nice. The place is clean and has plenty of seating inside and out. I honestly have no complaints! We've eaten there more than a dozen times and never had a bad experience. This is on our regular rotation of places when we eat out and I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Lindsey H.

Yelp
This food is almost really good. Portions are great but there's a lack of sauce on anything with the falafel. Underseasoned as well. Plus we were told the falafel was vegan but then told it was made with chicken stock. Which is it? Fabulous onion rings good portions fresh ingredients
google avatar

Creighton D.

Yelp
Great service and great food! Add that the Buddha bowl is good for you and there's a lot!! Beer selection is actually good for this small place!

Bruce B.

Yelp
It's a nice change from the same old burger and fries. Very good. They have a Buda bowls are really good. They have a good pastrami sandwich . Very good food.

Ryan T.

Yelp
This review directly is towards Brandon S. I was in the restaurant when you threw your Karen fit at the wildas employees you made a fool of yourself (even saw you on someone's social media page ) maybe read the menu before buying something for your picky child! Wildas has always been very affordable and quality meal & if you can't afford the .50 cents for sauce after getting a new meal for free you should probably cook at home or try McDonald's! On a lighter note wildas is one of my favorite restaurants in town I'll be back for another bowl asap!!
google avatar

Deborah B.

Yelp
The food of course!!! I love their salads with the whole grains ! Their menu is wholesome and delicious!
google avatar

Belinda H.

Yelp
Buddha Bowl The buddha bowl is a perfect meal! Don't think twice about splitting this between two people. We got the bowl with tofu, and it was wonderful. They will put it in a basket and give you an extra one so it's easy to divide. Highly recommend!
