Chicago’s Best Breakfast Spots

"Located right near Millennium Park, Wildberry Pancakes & Cafe is regularly packed with a mix of tourists and local workers tucking into rich plates of banana coconut cream pie pancakes, cookie dough waffles and chocolate banana bread french toast accompanied by fresh-squeezed orange juice and Intelligentsia coffee. Service is friendly and fast, though WiFi is available for anyone who needs to catch up on emails while they eat. Wildberry also has a location along the Magnificent Mile and suburban outposts in Libertyville and Schaumburg. Order online through Toast." - Samantha Nelson, Eater Staff

DELICIOUS! My husband ordered a seasonal special-Turkey Chili and Cheddar Omelette with corn bread and pancakes. He said it was amazing. I ordered the bacon and avocado toast. It was SO good. Quick service. Our server Connor was attentive and friendly.

Came to Wildberry because it was walking distance from my hotel and I’m so glad that it is! The place is decorated beautifully with holiday cheer, it’s spacious and clean. Our server was super welcoming and sweet! The food is delicious and fresh. Absolutely loved their white peppermint mocha and 2 egg breakfast. Their servicing size is big and kept me full most of the day! Would definitely recommend!

By far one of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to! They have a large menu full of a variety of both sweet and savory items. I tried the chilaquiles which were amazing and were a massive serving size! My wife and kids got the pancakes which they said were delicious. My wife also loved the apple butter chai latte that she tried. Service was friendly and our food came out surprisingly quickly. Be aware though, they get very busy. I highly recommend getting here as early as possible to avoid a lengthy wait.

Incredible place to get breakfast! The berry bliss pancakes are absolutely worth the hype. And very pleasantly surprised by the veggie patty. All the workers are super kind and the food came out quickly.

We ate here 2 days in a row. The dishes are on the pricey side, but the portions are huge. We should have shared plates. Everything was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for our meal. Excellent, friendly service. Definitely will return the next time we're in town.

I was pleasantly surprised by how freaking good the food was. Just didn’t expect it. I figured it was an esthetic restaurant but it exceeded my expectations. 🤌🏽

We visited their Uptown location at 196 E Pearson St, where we finally got to try their famous gluten-free cinnamon roll pancakes. The pancakes were incredible—fluffy, warm, and packed with cinnamon-sugar flavor that made them taste like dessert. Ordering online for pickup was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The crowds at the downtown location as well as this is a testament to how good the food is!
