Thank you Matthew for a brilliant dining experience. The menu was secret but delicious. The whole experience was a pleasure. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. The menu was created with passion and thought. Each course was a treat. If you want a culinary treat then this is definitely worth visiting. If you do say hello to Matthew through the service hatch, he can be seen cooking from the restaurant. He is a highly skilled chef who works with a big smile on his face.

Absolutely fantastic fine dining restaurant, all of the food is well thought out. This was the second time visiting and wasn't disappointed, having a wife who's picky what she eats, not knowing the menu suits us both as we've never been disappointed. The decor and atmosphere is really nice, all of the staff are great and the wine pairings are really thoughtful and makes such a difference to the meal. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, a must go to if visiting for a weekend.

Was taken to the Wilder for my birthday dinner last night and what an amazing restaurant. We do quite a few tasting menu’s - this is top of the list. Every dish was so well thought through and full of flavour. Precision execution by the chef and the wine’s complementing the food perfectly. Much (or all?) of the food was sourced locally and you could tell the chef had gone to great lengths to choose the ingredients. The setting was intimate and homey. The head waiter and barman made the night particularly memorable and anticipated every need. Go here if you have the chance

My partner and I dined here for my partner’s 30th birthday. I had the vegetarian menu and my partner had the regular one; I had only soft drinks and my partner had some alcoholic drinks. Overall this was a great evening; one of our best fine dining experiences. The vegetarian dishes were excellent and didn’t feel like worse versions of the meat dishes which is sometimes the case in some restaurants. Same with the soft drinks, which weren’t too sweet. I finished every glass without an issue! The staff was very nice and obviously passionate about their work. Honestly nothing negative to say except the prices, but that’s to be expected in fine dining restaurants! Definitely recommend and would go there again :)

Amazing service, very friendly and personable. Great food, really well thought-out and explained plates. Unreal venison, beautiful fish, marvellous accompaniments. Non alcoholic pairings were worth the hype! Atmosphere was a bit odd but was only a small seating. The setting itself is very low key and humble compared with the food and price tag. Highly recommend, worth the £££.

Matt (Owner) and Jonathan (Restaurant Manager) are amazing! I took my youngest daughter (nearly 13) out for dinner as she wanted to try some seafood. The results were stunning and the dining experience will be remembered for years to come. Thanks guys for making our night so special 👍

Was excited to return to Wilder for a well overdue visit, and the whole evening once again exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived and were warmly greeted by the excellent restaurant manager Faye to the time we finally left at the end of the night, after a fabulous treat of mouth-watering dishes prepared with wonderful, seasonal ingredients from the incredibly skilled Matthew, I couldn't fault a thing. The cured salmon with lightly pickled cauliflower and caper and raisin dressing was a particular highlight. The accompanying wine flight matched the food perfectly - am very keen to seek out these wines to enjoy again at home, just a shame I won't be able to do the same with the exquisite food!
