If you’re considering moving to Wilder, please read this first.
I’ve only lived here for 7 weeks, and in that short amount of time my vehicle was stolen right in front of the building, fully visible from my patio and only about 300 feet from the front entrance. That alone should concern any future resident — but what happened afterward is why I’m writing this review.
Unfortunately, instead of helping me gather information or alerting residents to be cautious, management tried to keep the situation quiet. When I attempted to post in the “Resident Experience” app to ask neighbors for sightings or any potential info, my message was denied. I understand they don’t want to scare residents, but crimes are literally happening at our front door, and residents deserve transparency — not silence.
To make matters even more frustrating, this building has “security”… but based on my experience, they don’t actually prevent or address problems. They seem far more focused on harassing residents for using amenities after 10 PM, even though Wilder advertises 24/7 access to balconies and the gym.
On top of that, about a week after my car was stolen, the parking garage door broke — and it stayed wide open for days, completely exposing everyone’s vehicles. Security monitored the entrance randomly and inconsistently, nowhere near every single day. I’ve attached photos of the unmonitored open garage day and night. Given that my car had just been stolen, this was incredibly unsettling.
Around this same time, I was also ticketed in front of the future resident parking for being “farther than 18 inches from the curb,” even though — as you can clearly see from the photos — every other vehicle was parked the exact same way I was. With everything going on here, focusing on something like that felt unnecessary and honestly pretty disappointing.
Another ongoing problem is that trash management is a disaster. There are barely any trash cans anywhere on the property. The only pet-waste can on the far side of the building is 99% of the time overflowing. The trash room stays locked, so residents can’t even properly dispose of garbage or recycling — causing trash to pile out and spill over into the recycling bins. When I reached out, management told me they would unlock it if I came to get them, which is confusing… why restrict residents from their own trash room if they expect us to keep this place beautiful?
Even the pet spa has no trash cans. You’re urged to clean up after washing your dog, but there’s nowhere to dispose of hair or trash — so it’s usually a mess.
To make things worse, there is also a dangerously low power line hanging about four feet above the ground in one of the parking lots. I’ve attached a photo because it’s genuinely unsafe.
Now — to be fair — the building itself is beautifully designed and always smells amazing. And I genuinely want to highlight Zoe from the management team. Through all of this, she has been helpful, communicative, kind, and clearly carrying a huge amount of the workload here. She is the one bright spot in my experience.
But overall?
Between the lack of transparency, the security issues, the broken garage door, the stolen vehicle, the locked trash rooms, overflowing bins, nonexistent trash cans, safety hazards, the inconsistent enforcement, and the general feeling that resident concerns are brushed aside… I cannot in good conscience recommend living here.
The building is beautiful, but the management and operations make it not worth the money, time, or stress.
