Wilder

Wilder is one of the top properties I have visited in Austin during my search for a new apartment. The units looked well kept and the grounds were clean and trim. I was particularly impressed with the leasing manager (Montse) I spoke with while there. She was super helpful and seemed to know her stuff (answered all my questions) and made this leg of the apt. search enjoyable. Most office staff or leasing managers just go through the motions but Montse was enthusiastic and had a genuine smile for me start to finish. If she is representative of the rest of the complex staff, this may be the next place for me to set down roots.

Wonderful Stay— Highly Recommend I had an excellent experience staying at this property. The home was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The location was convenient and quiet, making it perfect for relaxing while still being close to everything I needed. The amenities were thoughtful and made the stay feel effortless, from the fully stocked kitchen to the comfortable bedding. Communication with the host/property manager was smooth and professional, and any questions were answered quickly. I truly felt welcomed and taken care of throughout my stay. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this property to anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable, and enjoyable rental experience.

I’m leaving a review based off of my move in experience only. I moved into my apartment yesterday and it not at all move in ready. On the surface level the apartment was clean but as I started to slow down and look, this place had not been professionally cleaned and getting the apartment ready for a new residence was clearly rushed. First, the apartment was covered in trails of ants from the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. There were dead rolly pollies, spiders and silver fish all over the apartment. I saw that in the reviews and reached out to my apartment locator about my concerns. She assured me that the issued had since been rectified but it’s very much an issue. I brought the maintenance man into my unit to show him all the gaps and cracks in the base boards and flooring where ants and critters were entering the apartment and all of the baseboards where there was dirt and mold still. When I started to clean the appliances when I moved in, I found so much built up grime and sludge. There was mold, oil, and old food on the base boards, cabinets, and walls. I tried scrubbing them by hand but they persisted. I went to the front office about pest control and they told me he’d be there by 4pm. 4 pm rolled around and no pest control. I’m still spraying raid everywhere because there’s still ants crawling around. I’ve been sweeping for two days. The ants completely covered my dog’s food while I was out for about an hour. They sent in a cleaning lady but there’s still dust, pet hair, and grime left from the previous resident. I haven’t even fully moved my things in yet and I’m nervous to do so. I can’t even cook without being afraid of the ants going into my trash. I move every other year for work and this is the worst condition an apartment has been in that I’ve experienced.

I lived here for about two and a half years. In the beginning, I really enjoyed it. Great management, a strong sense of community, and staff who felt personable and genuinely caring. It wasn’t perfect, but overall it was a good place to live. About halfway through my second lease term, new management took over, and unfortunately things went downhill. Communication became poor, the gates rarely worked, predatory towing practices were introduced, and the pool was out of service for about eight months yet we were still required to pay full amenity fees. The management started to feel less like a community and more like a cookie-cutter, “you’re just a number” corporate setup. When it came time to renew, I asked if they were offering any concessions or discounts, especially since my rent was being raised. Having been a reliable tenant for a few years, I thought they might want to keep me on. At first, they offered nothing, even though I found the exact same floor plan listed for less on their own website. Only the day before my lease was up did they finally offer a rate that kept my rent flat but by then it felt like too little, too late. That experience, along with the red flags from their management style, ultimately pushed me to move out. I genuinely wanted to stay, but I didn’t see things trending in a positive direction. I do wish them the best, but sadly I can’t recommend it the way I once could.

We have lived at Wilder since May 2025 and its been such an amazing experience so far. Management is incredible!! They do so many resident events and activities! They always greet you with a smile and kindness. The community is so peaceful and extremely safe. Maintanance is also very quick to address any issues! Would highly recommend the Wilder to anyone looking for a new home.

Review for Alex Maintenance Team I recently had an issue with my kitchen food disposal, and Alex came to fix it. He got it working again in less than 10 minutes super fast, efficient, and even came out on a Sunday! I really appreciate how quick and professional he was. Alex is very friendly, easy to talk to, and gets the job done right the first time. I highly recommend reaching out to Alex if you need maintenance help in the complex. He truly goes above and beyond!

The staff in the office are always a pleasure to talk to, and the friendliness feels real, not forced. Maintenance has handled the few small issues I’ve had quickly, and Raul went the extra mile to make sure everything was fully taken care of. I want to be sure he gets the recognition he deserves for his hard work and professionalism. I also want to thank Montse in the leasing office. She helped make our move-in process feel easy and welcoming, and her kindness stood out right away. This is a clean, well managed complex, and the care that goes into it is obvious and appreciated.

I want to give a big thank you to Alex and Fred from the maintenance team. They were very professional, respectful, and quick to respond. They explained everything clearly, fixed the issue efficiently, and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. It’s refreshing to have maintenance staff who truly care about doing the job right. I really appreciate their help!

Alex was awesome :) came in next day, fixed my entire toilet, both of my sinks were clogged, AND my light was flickering- he fixed that too.. I didn't even have that in the original request. Super nice and great work. Thanks Alex!!! 1/29/25.

I love the floor plan of this place but holly Jesus I'm cleaning up these ants EVERYDAY and somehow it's always like a bunch of them. I've never thought I'd be grateful for spiders but they def do their part of grouping the bodies of these ants in the corners. The apartment just has so many nooks and crannies where the ants flow from. I'm actively spraying Raid along the doors in my apartment. Waking up to find a cricket that's somehow crawled into the apartment or sleeping in fear from the roach I found but couldn't kill. Also this comes from someone who is a neat freak and extremely tidy. The devil works hard, but I think these spiders have been working harder.

I would look elsewhere before choosing to live at the wilder. Their staff has proven to be extremely unprofessional and defensive after a recent issue regarding our heat going out for 3 days during freezing temperatures. Very disappointed.

Raul from maintenance over exceeded my expectations! He's professional and just a delightful person. Thank you again for all your help and hard work many blessings to you.

I've been living here for 2 years and if can give 5 stars it would definitely be to the Wilder's maintenance guys!!! When a person lives in an apartment these issues can be critical. They are prompt and very courteous. Every request that I have had issues with has been resolved quickly and they have NEVER COME BACK to fix it a 2nd time. Thank you Raul for fixing my recent door issue. Keep it up guys!!!! S. Pompa

Edwin the maintenance man was the best we had another maintenance guy try to fix our sink (Fernando) and it wasn't fixed and he sent Edwin instead and he got it done real quick and it didn't break again would love to Edwin be the supervisor of the maintenance team

Absolutely fell in love with the scenery and when i met the staff, I was sure this was the place for me. Taylor showed me around the complex and made sure to answer all of my questions about the premises. This was by far the best apartment hunting experience ive had in Austin!

Great, quiet, peaceful place to live! Love this area of Austin because it's still close to everything and all the nice new shops but also tucked away enough to feel serene and woodsy. The property is well taken care of, safe, and clean and I can thankfully say I have no complaints about management or maintenance- shout outs to Taylor (office) and Edwin (maintenance). All issues and requests are so handled quickly and respectfully!

The amount of emails that I have left the past 3 weeks that aren't getting responses is ridiculous!! The staff kicked me and a lot of other people of color out of the club house while hosting a free event to bring people together! The staff doesn't respond to emails. The noise levels. The bugs. Ants everywhere. Raising the rent. Isn't friendly to dogs! Don't live here

This summer has been extremely hot for everyone. Our ac went out and LaShawn came to the rescue. He explained to us what the issue was with the unit and the estimated time of repair. The unit required prior to the timeframe he estimated. We were back in our apartment and feeling so relaxed. My family and I can't thank LaShawn for being such a great help to us and asset to Wilder apartments. Thanks LaShawn for all of your help.

Real nice place, Edwin is awesome! He's always there whenever I need assistance with anything.

My girlfriend lives at Wilder so I'm there frequently. I really enjoy their resident events when I'm invited lol. The experience my girlfriend has had with the management has been good! I believe it was Nishelle that assisted my girlfriend when she was looking for an apartment. I'm even considering becoming a resident myself!!

Nechelle and Elisa are so warm and welcoming, Wilder is such a great place to live and the pool is amazing and so is the fully equipped gym, Also Edwin and Lashawn are great! They came by on time as promised to fix my garabage disposal and made me feel comfortable and worked fast.

Rent is increasing $200 (If I resigned) for an apartment that isn't even 600 sq feet next to a busy, crowded, highway. Was told by the manager that my own specific unit will put up to $1500-$1600 for whoever lives here next - which is funny because I originally signed for $1070. What a scam! Management is rude. Front desk workers don't know anything. Listen to the other reviews. Edit: Paid a $400 deposit and these scamming h*es gave me $38 dollars back after a SPOTLESS apartment was given back to them. DO NOT LIVE HERE. SCAM SCAM SCAM. When asked for an itemized bill and vendor name to confirm the charged amount, this is the response I received. These "luxury" apartments are the biggest scams. Can agree with another review that I cleaned that apartment very well but was charged otherwise. Cate and Emily are NOT transparent and a bit deceitful in management practices. SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR A LANDLORD WHO CARES ABOUT THEIR TENETS!

If we have another package room break in i'm going to lose my marbles. Thin ass walls, broken gates to the parking lots all the time, car break ins, trashy, and overall disappointing.

so this is so unfortunate for me to write, I love Wilder, physically. Our apartment layout is perfect for me and my roommate who works from home, we love the gym and the pool as well. However the day we moved in a few months ago there was a bit of an ant problem.. and it has only gotten incredibly worse. The day we moved in we saw about 10 ants just coming out of the carpet. The leasing office manager came with raid and just sprayed them and that was it ... since then my roommate has been seeing 1 or 2 crawling on her walls during work. I then start getting big bites in my sleep, look in my closet and there are fire ants EVERYWHERE! Inside all of my clothes and shirts!! Had to wash , raid , and take care of everything myself. This was a few weeks ago and of course went to the leasing office and showed pictures of my overran closet and big bites and was just kinda told "dang that sucks:/" and was put on the schedule for the "pest" control (which we also pay a monthly fee for) and someone shows up the following Monday and just kinda walks around and spray the window and "problem areas" this was two days ago. My roommate wakes up this morning to make breakfast the pantry is FLOODED with ants. You might look at the pictures and be like "woah someone spilled an entire bucket of coffee grounds" BUT NO, zoom in, ALL ANTS. Had to have been 100s of them, and they had definitely not been there before we both cook everyday. I am a full time commuter student, also work full time, my roommate works full time from home and I am having to spend my one morning off throwing away the groceries I just bought and raid and clean up an entire COMMUNITY of fire ants!!!! I didn't realize wilder meant actually living in the WILD , if I had known this I wouldn't have signed up for the 10000s of extra roommates
