Wildflour Bakery and Cafe

As a graduate student whose best working hours tend to be in the afternoon/evening, I am so grateful this place stays open until 9pm! It's become my go-to cafe to work, meet friends, etc. It's got that perfect aesthetic-cafe vibe, the folks who work there are super nice, there's always other people around (which I really need for ambient noise to focus), and the pastries and coffee are really, really good. I'm not vegan (not even vegetarian), but for most of the food you'd have no idea it was vegan at all by the taste and texture. It's great whether or not you're vegan, which I think says a lot! Plus I'm happy for another opportunity to incorporate more eco-friendly, non-dairy options into my diet that doesn't compromise taste. I go fairly regularly, so I've tried several different pastries and coffees, some cupcakes, some smoothies, and a burrito. Some of my favorites are the Oatmeal Cookie Latte, Cardamom Latte, Elvis Smoothie, Savory Knot, Pumpkin Snickerdoodle, and the spiced Pear Bar.

We picked up a custom made cake for my sister’s engagement party this weekend and it was perfect. It was so easy to place a custom order. The process was really seamless and they followed my inspo pictures perfectly. It was so beautiful! Not to mention, delicious! Everyone loved it and went back for seconds! I will be forever obsessed!

It was a decent place. They had several options ranging from cookies to brownies to cake to other bakery items and all of them were VEGAN!! Looked pretty great tbh. We ordered the chickpea sandwich, which I thought was alright. Not a 5/5, more like a 3.5/5 it lacked a bit of flavor and was on the dry side. The coffee was decent too, nothing extraordinary. Overall, it's a good spot. The servers were nice and the atmosphere was great. I'd recommend checking out some of the other items though.

They did the cake for my baby shower and it could not have been more perfect. It was a baseball theme and I asked for some flowers too. It was almost too beautiful to cut into. I was so happy and would 100% go back to them for any other cakes I’ll need in the future.

Wildflour is the best vegan bakery in the region, n is so good as to even shame many a nonvegan bakery. Check out their smooth customization of my vision for my bb's bday cake. We suffered in our deconstruction of this work of loving art with each slice harvested, but our pain was mercifully soothed with every heavenly mouthful. My one gripe is that we have to travel 40 minutes for the pleasure of this RI treasure, but such we do for love...

Cute vegan cafe I am glad I got to try. I had to get a few things to try a variety. I even asked for a recommendation. They recommended the blueberry pancake whoopie pie. It was actually amazing. Perfectly toasty and maple blueberry pancakes with a nice cream in the middle. I was excited about the carrot cake latte. It was amazing. I love the creative latte. Then I have to recommend the carrot cake cupcake. Whole food experience was fantastic. Would love to go again. (Getting eloped soon so considering this as my cake). The system with holding numbers is genius. The staff just comes up to you and hands you your order.

I've gone several times and been happy. It's a little pricey, but it's vegan. So it is is what it is. However, I was extremely disappointed in the Buffalo tempeh wrap I got. For one, I waited 20 minutes for it. But once I got home, I realized it was 80% spinach and looked nothing like what it is supposed to on their website. The first picture is direct from their website, the other 3 are what I received. If I wanted a salad, I would've ordered that.

My first time trying Wildflour, and right off the bat I was very pleased to know their hours! 99.9% of bakeries close midday and we aren't able to try new places. So happy to have found a cute place like this! Nice variety, and very good service. Someone was able to help me asap! I tried their latte, coffee blueberry muffin, and chocolate chip cookie. All yummy!

Wildflower Vegan Bakery in Pawtucket is a gem Tucked into a strip mall, this vegan spot has an amazing selection of pastries along with plenty of coffees, teas, and juices to choose from. I love that everything's vegan, so you leave feeling a lot lighter than after your usual bakery run, even when you indulge. The only downside is that it can get pretty busy, so expect to spend about 15-20 minutes there, especially during peak times. Overall, definitely worth a visit and I'd absolutely recommend it.

I don't know if this is a good or bad thing, but I come here nearly every day. All coffee beverages are great, pastries are also really delicious, but I want to point out my new favorite thing, the Garlic and Herb Focaccia Slices. It is so soft, airy with an amazing garlic centric smell that will make you salivate. The first bite is more texture, then BAM, the back end of the flavorfullness is garlic herb. I've had this twice and can't wait until it's out again. I mean this thing is so good that I may ask them if I can be on a contact list for when it's made. This shop is great as usual. There are lots of seats to enjoy your meal, great place for remote working and staff are awesome. Everyone who works here feel more like friends than random strangers who work in a café. This is a great vegan option! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and patient while I was looking over their extensive menu. 10/10 would recommend. I will definitely be back for their cupcakes!

After dining at Garden Grille (the sister restaurant of Wildflour), my friend and I knew we had to make room for dessert. The moment we stepped into the cafe, it was clear we wouldn't be leaving empty-handed. Wildflour Bakery and Cafe offers vegan, kosher and gluten-free baked goods, accommodating a range of dietary needs without ever sacrificing flavor. I wanted to check out this spot with a friend who happens to be vegan, and I was genuinely surprised by how tasty the options were. I brought home a chocolate peanut butter cupcake for my partner, and he definitely approved. For myself, I had to lean into the good-weather vibes and went for the lemon lavender cupcake, a combo I was initially skeptical about. I ended up loving it. The lemon filling was bright and tangy, and the lavender added a floral but light touch that worked surprisingly well. The cake had a perfect texture, not too moist or dense. Presentation-wise, the lemon lavender was my favorite to photograph with its soft purple hue. The strawberry matcha latte was calling my name, so I couldn't resist ordering one to pair with all my sweet treats. It was a light, refreshing drink with just the right amount of sweetness. It leaned more on the earthy side, which I personally love. Wildflour has such a lovely space, with ample seating and plenty of natural light. I can absolutely see myself coming back to work remotely or enjoy a casual outing with friends. I also have to thank them for opening my eyes to how delicious vegan desserts can be. I truly had a lovely time here. Definitely give them a try. Plus, there's plenty of parking!

During this intense heat wave, some refreshing cold smoothies sounded like the perfect afternoon nourishment. And, although we are not vegan, our Wildflour smoothies hit the spot! The pastries and dessert items were certainly tempting, but we craved the fruity smoothies. The Princess Leia smoothie was surprisingly spicy from a large amount of ginger, and not overly sweet or too creamy. Service was fairly quick despite the busy environment, so it's a good option for takeaway. Many patrons had camped out with laptops and seemed to be using the bakery as an air conditioned respite/office.

After sampling the delights that Providence has to offer I came across something truly tasty and diabolical. Let me introduce you all to the "blueberry pancake whoopie pie". Absolutely sinful! The inside frosting is whipped fruit and mingled with a natural fruit coloring on a pastry sized pancake with real fruit and locally grown vegan ingredients. Oh, my yummy. : )

Such a unique vegan spot! The cafe is clean and staff is friendly and quick. The interior itself has plenty of indoor seating and a warm earthy atmosphere. I was shocked they were open so late and stumbled upon this cafe past 8pm on a Friday night. It was just what I needed! I was feeling under the weather so got the Feel Better Speciality Juice which has lemon, ginger, cayenne in it. It was refreshing and had a nice kick to it. They have a variety of vegan pastries and baked goods. I got the carrot cake and it was delicious.

One of the best vegan bakeries I've ever been to!! The team here is always super friendly and kind. I appreciate the atmosphere; there's a variety of inclusive seating options and you don't have to purchase anything to be in the space if you're waiting on a reservation at Garden Grille. The food is DELICIOUS. The cakes are always so moist, the brownies are perfect, and the cupcakes travel well if you want to bring a little treat home for later.

Delicious chai latte with oat milk! The baked goods also looked delicious, so I will be back to try one! The staff were friendly, and it was nice that they brought the drinks out to you based on your number. I do wish there was another trash can available. There was only a tiny one by the coffee bar area that seemed to be getting full quickly. Our group also sat along the back bench seating and used some of the triangular stools, which were very unsteady. There were almost a few tumbles!

Wildflour is a real treasure. We heard about them on a kombucha journey (because they serve local kombucha from Luluna) and you could say we came for the kombucha and stayed for the incredible baked goods. The cranberry granola pumpkin seed scone was amazing. The focaccia was hefty and also a hit. I was seeking something free of seed oils/earth balance/coconut oil and was pleased to find that they had options for this: the double chocolate sea salt cookie (made with olive oil) and the peppermint chocolate cookie. I got the chocolate sea salt one and demolished it (delicious). They had full ingredient lists available and were patient and helpful when I explained which ingredients I was seeking to avoid. This is rare honestly and was a huge advantage as I'm trying to stick to the whole foods/plant-based diet. Thank you Wildflour! In addition to multiple flavors of Luluna kombucha, I also loved the homemade golden turmeric latte which they stated was made with fresh pressed ginger and turmeric juice. The coffee was also good. The staff were great, and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun.

Went to Wildflour today in Pawtucket, RI on the Providence border. Everything is vegan and most gluten-free. Been here several times and each time is a pleasure. Their staff knows their food and their recommendations are spot on. Staff is very friendly too. They just like working there as one was singing today. Got the Chai, lemon ginger tea, several matchas, matches, lattes, and smoothies for drinks. For food, stuck with baked goods: fudge, bars, cupcakes, and whoopie pie. Dined indoors with air conditioning today, but frequently in their vast outdoor area where dogs are welcome. Service is quick, lines move fast and you have a large private parking lot. Can't wait to return!

Had a fantastic chocolate present butter brownie, so many choices. Not enough stomach space Been past it before but always full from dinner, but not this time. Pros: Outstanding choices, Open late for a bakery

Had a very pleasant experience today and it mostly due to kindness of a stranger! I came to grab some food and get some work done between my work hours. Ordered a breakfast burrito with no jalapeno or avocado. My burrito arrived with jalapeno on the side while I didn't mind but the avocado was present in my burrito. It was unfortunately annoying to remove but I am willing to let it pass because the burrito was delicious! It didn't disappoint in flavor! Also ordered a rise and shine smoothie~ it's always pleasant and filling because it has berries and granola which is a heavier ingredient, but my favorite part of the smoothie. Staff was prompt and seemed busy because it was packed and almost every seat was taken. I understand if this is why I had avocado and jalapeno in my dish. I came to charge my laptop ams work during my quick meal, and let's just say, a stranger noticed me staring at walls and walking around outlets and seats. He offered to switch seats and showed me an available spot for my laptop charger. I highly appreciate the kindness of this stranger and just made me feel welcomed and cozy in this cafe~

This review is purely for the baked goods, as I have not tried any of the meals that they offer. Wildflour is a lovely bright vegan bakery and cafe but the space gets quite busy and loud, especially in mid- to late-morning (which is always the time I seem to arrive). I have tried a broad range of their baked goods because I am a vegan pastry fanatic. I wish they had more savory options on offer as I have found that many of the baked goods are far too sweet for my taste (despite my massive sweet tooth). The scones are, unfortunately, uniformly dense and not flaky (sorry I am a scone snob). The cupcakes are beautiful but, as mentioned, extremely sweet and heavily frosted. The cookies are fine, but not my preference for texture (I like chewy and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside cookies. These are more the crunchy variety). On my most recent visit I enjoyed the espresso whoopie pie (the espresso flavor balanced out the sweetness a bit). We need more vegan bakeries so I will certainly continue to support them and I will definitely be back to try the cafe menu!

They have great smoothies and desserts here. Everything is made fresh with clean ingredients, nothing is processed and foods/drinks don't contain artificial coloring. This is definitely a healthy spot to go to. I'm a meat eater and this place is vegan so I don't come here for the food, smoothies mainly. But be sure to come here on pay day because you'll be paying close to $10 for a smoothie. Staff is friendly and service is quick. The straws for the smoothies are plastic and always seem to be cracked though so it's hard to suck the drink out.

Service is more of self service once you order your food but overall everyone working there so sweet. It's all vegan dessert, drinks and smoothies. The latte tasted good and the chocolate chip cookie was really good. I'm not fond of vegan desserts but this cookie was good. My friend liked the smoothie it was healthy. Clean spot and overall a relaxing vibe if you want to sit and do some work it's good. Parking is not a problem it's located inside a plaza with abundant parking.

Delicious food and great service at this vegan bakery! Their smoothies, sandwiches, and salads are all fresh and full of flavor. A perfect spot for a healthy and satisfying meal. Highly recommend.

Custom order for chocolate cake and matching mini carrot cake cupcakes. They were incredibly patient as I went back and forth on type/quantity/decoration. They don't post much of their custom cake work on Insta or web so I was a little nervous but they hit the nail on the head with the inspo photos for pinky peachy flowers! Raves on flavors from the guests too!

I have loved you, Wildflower---as has my family when we visit our son who is attending college in Providence. We would love you more if you did this. 1) The PB & J "protein cup" is peanut butter and sugars. There is precious little protein and a ton of sugar. For those of us who have to watch our glucose, labeling something as "protein" that is peanut butter on sugar is a disappointment. 2) Why so few opportunities to recycle? Recycling is outdoors How many people are going to take a container (see PB & J cup) outside to recycle?

I can't say enough good things about this place & the people who run it! Wildflour has been my local staple for 'treating myself' and getting work done. The outdoor and indoor seating options offer a comfortable place to journal, read, or work on various projects. Though picky with my matcha lattes, the matcha latte art is always gorgeous, the food is filling and flavorful, & I can never choose a baked good because all of them are delicious (you really can't go wrong) ... it certainly keeps me coming back for more! And for the health nut in me--the smoothies & juices are also excellent choices.

Buckeye was great as was coconut lime cookie. The vibe is awesome. Staff and customers are all happy and chatting. Iced chai tea was ok. Better than Starbucks but not great.

The favorite place for over a decade, and somehow in the last two years it's become loud children central. Used to be a quiet cafe where you could quietly chat or work easily. Now it's louder than McDonald's playplace. Breaks my heart. All the staff are wonderful, clientele have ruined it.

When was the last time FDA check out this place. Man they had fruit flies all over the food And they act like there's nothing in there dawg it looks nasty and I could get my money back

the food and drinks here are yummy, don't get me wrong. if you are on a plant-based and/or gluten-free diet, this is very tasty with no pain. allergen friendly too. we got the beetroot latte, samoa oat bar, loaf of jalapeño cornbread, and chickpea tuna sandwich (that is supposed to taste like tuna but isn't). it tasted like a chickpea sandwich seasoned like a tuna sandwich, and i personally enjoyed that but some might be thrown off by the texture if they were hoping for a tuna substitute. all of it slapped tho. very flavorful without compromising the plant based diet. my qualms are with the accessibility in pricing and the physical logistics of the spot. wildflour describes its history and concept as a spot for "community" and my question is which community? this is pawtucket, rhode island. this is not manhattan, north side chicago, LA, san francisco, etc. but these prices do not reflect accessibility for the pawtucket community. i think every item was priced $2-5 higher than it should have been. that makes this the kind of place you go to for a treat not for a choice in healthy eating. and then the spot needs more parking, more spaced out seating to truly be considered wheelchair accessible, and should have water jugs out for people to grab water if they are dining in. i will be back for a treat from time to time but i would not consider this a regular community spot for healthy eating choices.

Best gluten free carrot cake cupcakes I've ever had! No one can tell they're gluten free, which is even better!

This is a great vegan bakery. They offer yummy treats and tasty sandwiches and smoothies. It gets very busy during lunch hour everyday because of the great location and service. It is an open cafe style restaurant with plenty of parking. The focaccia bread is my favorite with the chickpea salad.

This place might be vegan, but they will gladly take an arm AND a leg at the register! The overall atmosphere is super chill. Spacious on the inside, which cancels out the atrocious parking situation in a far over capacity plaza parking lot. The employees are friendly and prompt. The food and drinks are all made with a fresh and quality component that puts them a cut above. I do enjoy Wildflour, but dang they are expensive! At any rate, I'll keep coming back for more. Highest recommendation. Bon appetite!

In not a vegan. First off I went there with a vegan friend. This place is off the hook. Great everything is all I can say. Get there early or they will sell out all the delicious bakery goodness on their shelves. Worth your time . Go check them out. You won't be disappointed.

I love this place. It's my go to for coffee, smoothies, some baked goods and avocado toast! Literally my fav kind of avocado toast is here. It's super hefty and flavorful! The staff is also super friendly. The atmosphere is great. You can sit around with your laptop, meet up with friends and all that. They have decent amount of seating space and outdoor seats as well. The iced caramel latte with oat milk is my fav here. It's a must.

Such an amazing and beautiful bakery! I love coming here. It's such a treat. I don't think I've ever had anything that I didn't absolutely adore. I would also recommend the smoothies & other latte flavors. Their cupcakes are always really amazing and I love how often they switch their flavors on the menu.

I had not stopped here in a few years. I always enjoyed the pastries I bought here, but I was very disappointed today. I bought a peanut butter brownie that looked luscious. But, sadly, it was the most tasteless piece of pastry I have ever eaten! Bland, cardboard-like texture. No flavor, at all. This will be my last visit here.

When I first walked in- I was really surprised with the ingredients - they all appeared to be FRESH- which is amazing! However not the greatest for someone who doesn't like vegetables. Most of their smoothies and fresh juices include: kale, spinach, celery, root beet, flax seed, etc. I love vegetables and I'm always open to trying new things/flavors but some of the combinations just were too much for me. I ordered a small yellow sub smoothie but I substituted the banana for strawberry. Let's just say for almost $10 the size of this smoothie is ridiculous! However it was definitely freshly made - yet the flavors just didn't do it for me- especially for the price. RI seems to be a little bit behind cities like Boston in terms of vegan and organic eatery's. I've enjoyed tons of delicious fresh fruit smoothies at organic juice bars in Maine & Boston - but this smoothie just didn't have the flavors- the other places had! First Impressions: chaotic & loud. There were people everywhere- inside and outside and the line was long- but moved very quickly! After I paid I wasn't given a number or told where to pick up my order so I just wandered around aimlessly. I finally saw a woman carrying a tray of drinks and one looked like mine. I literally never seen someone so fast, she must've been looking for the number that corresponded to my drink, but I didn't have one so I chased her around the entire bakery, inside and out before she realized that was my smoothie. A bit disorganized. I went to grab a fresh pressed juice in the fridge but $11 - I nearly fell over and I didn't like the combos again- too many additives that weren't appealing- although they did LOOK good. Pros: Outdoor Seating, Yummy looking cupcakes, frosé! Cons: EXPENSIVE $$$$, Expensive, loud, disorganized. Would I come back? I would probably give it another try.

I cannot recommend Wildflour enough!! I ordered a custom cake for my niece's baby shower. When I got home, I placed the cake on the hood of my car while I made space in the fridge. Within minutes the cake slid off the car and fell...ruining the whole top of the cake:( I called Wildflour and they were extremely kind about it all and told me to bring it in so they could re-frost it. I never felt like I was putting them out; they were extremely accommodating and willing to help out in any way they could. They were able to beautifully re-frost the cake and it was a huge hit at the shower. I so appreciate all their help and concern in making a sweet gathering truly sweeter! Thank you!!!!

I was there today and two things happened : my son dropped his chocolate treat on the floor that I had just paid for five seconds earlier. I was in the back corner waiting for my cake. I didn't think anyone had noticed. One of staff members came over with a brand new chocolate for my son. Once My cake was ready, a different staff member handed it to me, saw that I was a bit overwhelmed, holding my daughter and son's hand, and offered to follow me out to my car with the cake. I asked her for a bag instead, but she insisted that she help me carry the cake to my car On this windy cold day. 10/10!!! I saw

Very very nice place with wonderful people and great dark coffee. The menu is extensive .It's a non dairy establishment which is cool but if you would like cream you are out of luck. It' s loud is so trying to get work done you need headphones. It's bright and cheerful and is very nicely decorated. The people are very nice and helpful.

Nice location and a very diverse assortment of pastries and other baked items. My girlfriend is lactose intolerant so we totally tested if this is really a vegan bakery, and it is!!! We tried a couple cupcakes and the banana loaf. All were fantastic. There is some great outdoor seating with small table sets, right in the sun which was great for spring weather where that warmth of the sun makes all the difference. A really great spot to hang out for a little while over coffee and a treat. My iced tea was very watered down and the "large" was a very small cup, not really worth the $5 for that. I noticed they have New Harvest coffee so I bet the espresso here is amazing, and can't wait to try it next time. Staff were all really professional and friendly, we were helped immediately and the place was looking clean and well stocked. Can't wait to be back here again soon to try more of the selection!

TL;DR: This is not Dunkin Donuts, and that's kinda the point. I love Wildflour: the food, the pastries, the staff, the vibe. I was there today and overheard someone complain about the wait. Unless you're ordering a packaged meal, a treat from the display case, or a ready-made coffee, be prepared to wait a few minutes. Everything is made fresh and by hand. So slow your roll and enjoy the atmosphere. If you're in a hurry, go to a drive-thru.

I went in wanting one dessert and left with four smh, don't judge me. I was overly excited to see so many chocolate and nut-free desserts. Caramel Apple Cupcake - dense but sweet and flavorful. The filling helped to break up the sweetness of the icing. (B) Pumpkin Cheesecake Bar - not good. The pumpkin flavor was too harsh. (C-) Pear Oat Bar - the best dessert of the four. I could have eaten several more of these. (A+) Pumpkin Whoopie Pie - much better pumpkin flavor than the cheesecake bar. I enjoyed this dessert, soft and slightly chewy texture. (B+) Overall, the portions are adequate, the prices are okay and the service was friendly. I would return.

Wildflour is one of my favorite spots to frequent for smoothies, and baked goods. I love the space. It is Clean and bright with a calm atmosphere, perfect for personal quiet time, an informal 1:1 meeting, or a chat with a friend. I'm obsess with their granola scones and I get them most often, their seasonal pumpkin Whoopi's pie was tear worthy, and I always feel healed after I drink their "feel better," juice. Their cupcakes are always delicious, and moist, and I enjoy the specials they come up with. I cannot recall a bad experience or slow service even when the place is packed. Wildflour always has enough staff that are all polite, and helpful if you can't make up your mind! I usually go for their sweet treats, but I also recommend that you try their chili if you get the chance!

I've lived around the corner from Wildflour for two years now and am so sad to be moving away! Some of the things I like most are their peanut butter chocolate bars, chia seed pudding cups, cold pressed juice, pecan 'shortbread' cookies and cupcakes with lavender frosting (oh, and their seasonal pumpkin muffin with faux 'cream cheese' is so good, too!). Sometimes in a pinch I buy New Harvest Coffee Beans for brewing at home; I love that they source from a local Pawtucket roaster like that. The way I describe Wildflour to others is that it's a wonderful place to go if you're from the West Coast and missing that vibe. The only critical comment I might add is that the chocolate cupcakes can be pretty dense and not something I'd get again (I had purchased an assortment of cupcakes with peanut, caramel and other flavors), compared to their white batter cupcakes.
