"Located just off Broadway on Second Avenue, the Wildhorse Saloon serves a mix of regional favorites, from a Nashville hot chicken sandwich to a full section of dishes — ribs, burgers, even bananas Foster — glazed with Jack Daniel’s whiskey. More importantly, this massive honky-tonk regularly hosts line dancing (including free lessons) on the city’s largest dance floor in addition to live country music performances, and the second- and third-floor balconies are prime people-watching real estate since they overlook all of the action." - Kellie Walton

Yelp
Very fun! No complaints about anything here - except a suggestion that they put a cap at how many people can take the line dance classes - it was very crowded and a little claustrophobic. However, 10/10 would recommend someone coming if they've never gone line dancing. The food was pretty good for saloon food. I especially liked the appetizers. One warning though is if you're trying to find a place to have a conversation...THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. The music is very loud. The music choice was not what I expected, but enjoyable nevertheless.

Yelp
Great spot for dancing and drinks. They have a group dance leader and alive band as well as DJ. Closes early so get there early especially for dancing. Not sure if they serve food, but definitely have a full bar and is good for groups.

Yelp
SO. MUCH. FUN. I don't even care that locals scoff at the touristy nature of this place. We stopped by while tagging along with husbands for a work conference. We had a blast and our hubbys had a hard time pulling us out of this place to go do other things. We could have stayed all night. They have a dance lesson at intervals throughout the day/evening and they always include a beginner dance, but progress into harder territory. There is something for all abilities and ages. I definitely stepped on some little kids while going backwards, haha. The dance floor gets super packed during the lessons.

Yelp
Come here for the line dancing and music. No, you do not need to actually be, or attempt to be, a dancer. You can just enjoy other people doing a great job, or perhaps, not such a great job. The night I was there I swear Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan from The Walking Dead) was on the floor as one of the ones doing a great job! The place is huge and has an amazing layout. There is zero indication of this from the side street it is on so you kind of need to know it is here. Service was great and having already eaten earlier in the day I unfortunately cannot comment about the food.

Yelp
AMBIANCE Huge establishment. Spatial. Music loud, rock n roll, not my style and enough to leave and go elsewhere. SERVICE Here for the free 30 minute line dance. The lady instructors did well. I learned a dance - mission accomplished.

Rome D.

Yelp
Super fun place and free line dancing lessons. The live music was great and just a cool place to grab a drink and hangout. Expectations of the food was low as we figured it was just a bar. But the food was awesome. Huge piece of chicken inside the sandwich and the bbq had lots of flavor. Everyone there is just having a good time and that truly added to the experience. Next time hopefully we get another line dancing lesson.

Yelp
So much FUN! I never thought I would be one to say line-dancing is something you should try. I burned so many calories, we had a blast. Our team booked the space upstairs and was able to have a private bar and food set up for us. We could see the entire dance floor and I never thought I would line dance to a Michael Jackson song. So much FUN!

Tracey F.

Yelp
Note, my review was based on attending a private event upstairs. Woof. This place was LOUD. There was no place to get away from the music, I was so thankful when the band took a break and I could listen to others and talk at a normal volume. Our bartenders were super nice, even if the drinks were super sugary. The food was really good. My favorite was the BBQ meatballs.

Mark T.

Yelp
Nice, open and fun restaurant/bar/dance floor venue. Takes me back to my 90's country roots with good bands, Line dance instructors and decent enough food. We came here night one of our trip and people watched, listened to the love bands and drank at the bar upstairs. Night two we came back and had dinner. KUDOS to our server HAYLEY who was sweet and laughed at our terrible jokes all night. The seven of us in our group enjoyed our meals.

David L.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere, and a big enough venue to enjoy with a large crowd. The music can be great, depending on your preference, and I quickly determined I prefer the smaller venues with less "production." Our server was great at handling our large crowd of 30+...drinks and food orders were correct, and she was attentive despite badly needing help on a busy night. However, the staff at the door is incredibly rude, the food is mediocre crappy frozen salty bar food (e.g. bad burger), and we literally waited an hour simply to receive our check when we requested it. Okay, the fried pickles were tasty. Eat elsewhere, come for a good time and some loud music, and avoid the pompous grumpy staff at the door at all costs.

Yelp
It was a super fun night out with friends. The saloon was kids friendly and some of them danced so well. The venue was beautiful and the artist we had that night was incredible. I was curious about line dancing so my friend and I joined their line dancing class. The class was free and there was no cover. They just want you to drink and we happily went for it. Some of the dancers were professional level and was fun just watching ppl and tried a little ourselves

Jane E.

Yelp
Wild horse was a blast for entertainment. Line dancing and live music all night. They did stop and teach a basic line dance as well. We ordered some food, chicken and potatoes, chicken fingers, and chicken wings. Food was good. Our server was great. Our friends had reserved a private room for drinks and apps on the 2nd floor as well for wedding guests after their rehearsal dinner. That was set up kinda fancy. Nice touch!

Bryee P.

Yelp
The ambience is great! (Good band ! Love the line dancing!) That is a 4 star Service... the lady we got was amazing! 4 stars But everything else....food was eh and when we got home and see we were charged a large group tax ($47) for a group of 8 people! That to me was crazy! Never seen that before. Sooo beware of that

Natasha R.

Yelp
Perfect for music and ambiance but not food! Great for families- beautiful venue with great music and awesome service! However, food is subpar, pricey for quality and not for anyone with food allergies. Restaurant takes zero food allergy precautions. Our server was awesome ensuring options but unfortunately few options. Ordered Asian salad was nothing more than a bag of iceberg lettuce with dole mandarin oranges on top....gross! Would expect this from a little hole in the wall place but not a upscale venue like Wild-horse Saloon.

Tom H.

Yelp
If you ever get tired of checking out the bands on Broadway, and want to get your Two Stepping on then Wildhorse would probably be more your speed. As far as I saw, this was the only "dance hall" around Broadway for line dancing. In between bands they teach you some moves, so most of the crowd seemed like typical beginners. This wasn't the type of place that anyone would be embarrassed if they were trying it for the first time. This was also the only place where we got carded for a wrist band but I guess that's just them covering their a**.

Tina H.

Yelp
The food was mediocre. The buffalo chicken dip wasn't hot when served. Then the shrimp and grits were Luke warm. The service was impeccable. The bar tender was hilarious. His favorite place to visit is Spain. He loves his job. Our dinner server was also great. The line dance instructors had lots of energy and were good teachers. They got people dancing. Adam Calvert had the best pipes. We left after his first set and the dance lesson and walked up and around. We came back because he was the best we heard all evening. We caught his last song. I loved watching the parents dance with their children - such a blessing.

Brandon C.

Yelp
Super fun, huge venue! We had a corporate event here and it was great. The stage and dance floor are amazing. The bartenders were friendly and know how to make a good, strong drink.

Maya A.

Yelp
Located in downtown Nashville broadway street Mecca this place is so fun and filled with great food, drinks, live music and country dancing! It was like attending a concert and it is for all ages. Family, children and adults can come and learn how to line dance and have dinner. The music was so great the musicians were super talented and the whole atmosphere from when we waited in the line to get in to inside was so fun: key tips, go early to minimize line wait time and park far away from the venue on the weekends so you'll be able to get out of downtown with minimal traffic. A great go to for your visit to Nashville!!!

Stacey H.

Yelp
Fun for all ages. Saturday nights are extremely busy but was definitely worth it. Was in town for an event and went with a friend and our daughters. We enjoyed learning to line dance and the live band. We will definitely come back next time we are in town!!

Orest S.

Yelp
I was on the rock concert there. Great place for parties. 2 floors, pool, huge bar area. I'd like to visiting it for a drink when it not so busy.

Ciara M.

Yelp
Stripped to the studs at the moment. Wish they updated their posts to reflect the construction updates.

Sherri W.

Yelp
On a recent 'Girls Trip' we spent the afternoon at the Wildhorse where I learned a couple of line dances, ate some good food, and tried three flavored moonshine shots (I was disappointed at the size of these knowing that when I order flights of wine and beer they come in decent size glasses and not shot glasses) but they taste good and for $16 I would have been mad if they didn't. I ordered the hot chicken dip with crackers and ate some of the fries from two nearby plates and enjoyed it all. The dip had just enough spice to know you were eating something with a kick. I love French fries so when I bit in to the first fry and the seasonings hit my tongue I did a shoulder shimmy because I was happy. The prices are reasonable and line dancing is fun. I will be back when I return to Nashville.

Grace A.

Yelp
This was our high school besties' 2nd time to be here as we love the line dancing lessons. This 2nd visit we just had a drink, learned a new line dance, then listened to Andrea Guess' band. Great place for young and old alike. Friendly staff, good food.

Megan T.

Yelp
Love the live music and teaching of line dancing in between set and band breaks. My family had a great time here. The kids loved line dancing and the musicians playing were talented. The menu was ok. Limited selection, but the prices were fair. I did love their Mac and cheese for a side instead of the fries.

Lydia A.

Yelp
Stopped by on our way home from a Smoky Mountain vacation. I have two teen girls and a ten year old who immediately joined in on the line dancing lesson and Peyton Taylor was awesome as the entertainment for the evening. I am not a loud music person so my husband and girls enjoyed it more than I did. I am also gluten free so I ordered some the only dish available listed as gluten free ( chicken wings). Although the wigs were delicious, I am having a gluten reaction. I would say to err on the side of caution if you are gluten sensitive. Husband and girls thoroughly enjoyed their meals!! As far as the atmosphere; it is exactly what you would expect and then some for a restaurant on 2nd Avenue in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Good food, good music, lots of noise, and a good place for kids and adults. We left by 8:00 so I can't say what happens after that time.

Dena H.

Yelp
10/10 was one of my favorite spots in Nashville. I loved the large dance floor and the band was amazing. Great place to come to dance at with your friends. Note: they are closed on Sundays so make sure you check when they are open

Emily M.

Yelp
WARNING - DO NOT PLAN AN EVENT HERE This venue had the most unprofessional communication - it was pulling teeth to get a response from their sales team. We had to follow up multiple times just to schedule a visit. The space is beautiful, so we quickly decided to book it, but then the communication continued to get worse. They strung us along for 4 weeks saying the contract for our wedding was "with legal" and would be sent in a "few days"... They never delivered the contract and we eventually booked a different venue... This wasted so much time and cause unnecessary stress. I would NEVER recommend working with them on an important event.

Paulette C.

Yelp
What is better than dinner and dancing? NOTHING! This was SO MUCH FUN! Food was good, except my friend didn't like her tacos who had wanted fish and chips but the server discouraged her from ordering them. We tried fried pickles and we were pleasantly surprised to find out they were delicious! I had the hot chicken sandwich on lettuce instead of the bun. YUM! The best part was the dance lessons and the constant line dancing. Too fun!

Al R.

Yelp
Put on your boots, grab your cowboy hat, and head down to Wildhorse for some of the best line dancing in Nashville. Great music always and the service was friendly and on point. Wildhorse Saloon is a must see if you're in Nashville.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
If you find yourself in the middle of Nashville Tennessee, this is a cool place to land. We stopped in here to grab a quick drink and were surprised a how large and accommodating this location was. There were many nooks and crannies to situate yourself and options for intimacy or partying with pals. Several bars splayed their wares so long lines didn't seem to be much of a problem. Live music was going on, but when that stopped, there were line dancing lessons available to those brave of heart, followed by several songs to put those lessons to the test. All in all, it appeared that everyone was having a good time, and we were too! There is a store attached to the side front where you can score some cool merch from shirts and hats to the shot glasses and more. Tons of trinkets for the souvenir hunter. Go on in and check it out.

Theresa M.

Yelp
A fun experience overall - the band was very good and it was fun watching the dancers learn the beginner's line dance. The beers were expensive, but that's to be expected unfortunately at a tourist trap. My biggest concern would be that there is no explanation on how seating works when you go in, although someone does check your ID when you enter so that would be a good place to do so. The staff that we eventually had to ask weren't very friendly with the information - it all seems to come down to if you are going to eat dinner or not determines how you are treated. With so many tourists you would think they would be more helpful and friendly when entering.

Jose P.

Yelp
If you want to line dance to country music in Nashville, look no further. This is the place. We went there after dinner to take some of the free line dancing classes and then try it out when the band started playing. We had loads of fun and need to come back so we can perfect our groove. The only down side to be aware of is that the place is designed for folks to come and eat while listening to the band and dancing. Since we had already eaten they would not sit us at any table and we were restricted to the bar. It took us a little while to get a seat at the bar since that is pretty limited. My advice is to go there to eat (it did not look like the style we are into - organic, gluten free, etc), or be prepared to hang out at one of the bars. Otherwise, great place for dancing.

Cindy S.

Yelp
Line dancing instruction!!!!! Cool bar, great music fun staff( unless of course there's a chance they might be hungover), check it out!

Tony M.

Yelp
Saloon was very cool Couple issues with service but would still come back Bar has good atmosphere

Melissa M.

Yelp
Great 3 level music venue! Dance floor is one of the biggest in Nashville on strip. Excellent for an event booking!

Mark M.

Yelp
We had a corporate party here and the place was crazy busy and great fun. Lots to see and listen to. The band was on point and we all had a super time. Recommend for sure. They played a lot a great music, not just country music. They played some southern rock as well.

Abby P.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to experiencing the Wildhorse Saloon. Once we finally got in there, you could tell on a different day it would probably have been very cool, but unfortunately this was the not the case for us. Firstly, when we arrived around 3PM, there was a private event going on until 10PM. Now, I can recognize that this may have been an oversight on our part, so no harm no foul. But when we showed back up right at 10PM, they had extended the delay until 11PM. I felt that this was wildly unprofessional. The staff outside were yelling at people in line and one even told me he didn't understand why they had to do that. I'm sure the event paid well, but a lot of money could have also been made even just in that one hour they delayed it. Additionally, when we finally got in there, it was relatively empty, yet still took quite a while to get one drink. Overall I was very disappointed and hope that anybody who goes to experience this place in the future has a better time than we did!

Salvador R.

Yelp
Geez. This place is massive!! The best place without much of a wait to get in off of Broadway. This is a great spot to bring a big group of friends. They have 3 floors of space, fair priced bar, many seatings, and decently big dance floor for line dancing. There is only one act that plays in this big famous venue. So, expect it to be some of the best artist Nashville has to offer. Besides, enjoy the more open space that you don't find in most of Broadway. Highly recommend stopping here when in downtown, Nashville.

William H.

Yelp
We tried to lunch at this place today. they no longer have draft beer, did not have the canned/bottles beer I requested from their menu, and did not have the memento mug advertised on their menu for my wife's soda. We did not stay to see if the food was even available. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Suzette C.

Yelp
The food was probably not as expected. I had shrimp and grits and the grits were rather dry, other members of our party had chicken fingers and fries (guess you can't go wrong with that), chicken burger with veggies was bland. The line dancing was entertaining and the people there were out to learn a lesson or two on line dancing and they got it. The band was awesome .... Andrea- guess.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
A must see in nashville! This place has such a great vibe! So fun with the line dancing and food was great! No complaints.

Joy H.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere! Food was ok. Unfortunately the experience started on a sour note when the security guy at the front insisted that I had a knife and that I needed to turn it in. As the guy at the podium started to let my husband, children and I enter the security guy followed and stopped us and and stated, "I KNOW you have a knife." I told him he can search me if he wanted. He went through my bag, and shockingly, didn't find a knife. He then told me not to get defensive because he was just doing his job. I understand the importance of security. What upset me was his statement saying how he KNEW that I had a knife. Clearly he was wrong. IF I did have one, I would have admitted it and turned it in upon entrance like my husband did. That definitely put a damper on the night.

Derek C.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch. The good news is that even at a table of 9, we got in right away. The bad news is that they have the music cranked up to 12 even when there isn't much of a crowd. The servers can't even hear what you're trying to order. The dance floor is fun. The food isn't great and is expensive but this is a tourist trap so you should expect that coming in. Oh, and there's a bathroom attendant. Despite bringing the family in, I second guessed myself and thought I had wandered into a strip club. No idea what that is all about but bring an extra buck or two if you have to take a leak.

Mark G.

Yelp
Today was the first day opened since the terrorist attack that happened right down the street a few months ago. The music was stellar, two really good bands. They also had line dancing but that was limited to 20 people at time and masks were required, thanks Covid. Also no dancing allowed any where else, they claimed they would kick you out. Food was okay, we order fried pickles. The pickles were short on seasoning. Also split a Nashville spicy chicken with fries. Fries were gross but the chicken fantastic. Also had a few drinks.

Michelle M.

Yelp
We had a great time at Wildhorse. Fun learning the line dancing steps. Justin is the best teacher. He takes the time to show you the steps with hints before the steps. Really loved Payton Taylor. She is an up and coming singer in Nashville for sure. We visited it everyday during our Nashville vacation. The only bad thing I have to say about Wildhorse is the bathroom attendants. It is unnecessary. We would like to not be bother in the bathroom. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Nashville.

Amanda R.

Yelp
The people who check IDs claimed my drivers license wasn't real because my "smile isn't the same." Sorry I've gained weight and look different lol Didn't even attempt to scan my ID or anything. So watch out if your face has changed since you last took your license photo

Ric P.

Yelp
If you like line dancing or you have always wanted to learn line dancing, then you need to visit the Wildhorse Saloon! A huge dance floor and an equally large dining area with three bars to serve everyone. The Wildhorse has something for all ages and they provide line dancing lessons during band breaks and in-between bands. The food is pretty good, too. If your ever in Nashville, the Wildhorse Saloon should be a planned stop in your day or evening.

Patrick L.

Yelp
So many fun spots in Nashville, but on a Tuesday night (in September) for a work function it was pretty dead. I could see the potential, however. The place is cavernous and probably fun during the right time. Bartenders upstairs were great - super friendly and efficient! Food was fine, the chocolate bacon was exceptional! Probably need to stop in again to give the place a better review. 3 stars for now, trending...

William M.

Yelp
Went last night and had a great time. Had the hot chicken and while it was great, I personally could of used a little more heat. But seriously, our server Cynthia was awesome! When I go back I'm going to make sure I'm sitting in her section. She checked in with us, made sure all of our drinks were consistently topped off and just socialized a bit. Great job!!

Amy V.

Yelp
The dancing was the best. The dance floor was spacious and the music was great. The food was meh. If I were to go back I would opt for drinks only. The fried pickles were good. The ribs were not great. The shrimp and grits were over cooked. The desserts tasted like they were from a box but the service was really good and the line dancing was really fun.
