Google
Tried for the first time for my family. Fried shrimp platter, very good shrimp, perfectly seasoned and crunchy. Received good responses from my fam for the 5 piece wings, chicken tenders, and the hushpuppies were very tasty. Prices are a tad high compared to others, but it was very good and filing.

Good food with kind service.

Google
Great, family owned local dining serving delicious food at affordable prices. Awesome daily specials and friendly service too!

Google
The food was pretty good. Although the catfish was fried to perfection, it had no flavor. The shrimp po boy was great.

Patrick Busteed

Google
Food was good, poboys were great. The seafood platter was good, but after a few bites, the fried began to get to me. It's a get it yourself place, but that didn't hurt.

Marti Garza

Google
No frills good value seafood restaurant for dine in or take away. Friendly customer service. Had the half and half fried seafood platter - shrimp and softshell crab. The softshell crab was perfectly cooked and tasty! The shrimp were a little underwhelming, but living on the gulf coast sets an artificially high bar when it comes to shrimp. Would definitely return and work my way through the rest of the menu.

cneck-in While getting my nails done on yesterday I noticed this little seafood restaurant next door. I told my nail tech l've been wanting some good grilled seafood. Didn't do a normal over the phone order. I ordered at the counter. The woman that were taking orders was a ball of delight. Customer Service was magnificent. I ordered the Grilled Catfish & Shrimp Platter w/jambalaya and a size of potato salad. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. I didn't need to add anything extra. The portion size was tremendous. This place come highly recommended. Great for dining in or take out.

Yelp
Had some time to kill in the area and needed to eat something. Stopped in and ordered a Shrimp Pooboy, hush puppies and fries. Massive portions! Everything was excellent and delicious. Restaurant is small but cozy and nice. I could see it getting crowded real quick though

Yelp
Have a 3hr layover at home, why not go get something local to eat. The cashier was cool and I dined in and received good service. The setup is relaxing with the music playing in the background while I ate. My sandwich was a solid 5.7/10 and that's not a bad rating. I am a local and there are soooo many good spots to get a poboy. This was great for the convenience and the price was good.

Reggie M.

Yelp
The gumbo and shrimp poboys were delicious. Big shrimp and gumbo full of seafood. Very clean and helpful employees.

Thomas L.

Yelp
Best roast beef NewOrleans poboy...gravy running down your arms! Oyster poboy's are just as good

Shelly J.

Yelp
Delicious, freshly made food! Anytime we fly into New Orleans, we have to drive over here and grab some catfish and shrimp poboys. It's a small place but has been delicious every time. The food takes a few minutes to come out, but that's because it's fried fresh and piping hot! My mouth is watering just thinking about the catfish and shrimp!!

Kim P.

Yelp
The owners are AWESOME. This is a mainstay of the community for people that have high standards. Food is so fresh. This is my GO TO shrimp poboy. None better. I mean that!! The space is cozy. Food is ripping hot. Dong Phong bread. Be good to them - you'll be family!

Yelp
My love for New Orleans food has been irrevocably destroyed due to William's Seafood. They used small bait shrimps with veins on my Shrimp PoBoy and it was disgusting. Unacceptable! I high tailed it back to California to vote for Trump and vowed never to return.

Kevin K.

Yelp
Hands down, one of the best shrimp po-boys (or po-boys overall) in the New Orleans area! I know that's odd to think of this being from a little 'ol place in Kenner, but it's true. I've loved this place since its start, and they've only gotten better (minus the quite increased pricing, which would be my only complaint). There's not really tons more to say because you just have to go taste it, but make the trek out and get one!

Emad S.

Yelp
Best poboy I ever had. If you ever fly into New Orleans you must stop by here. The people are super friendly and the place is spacious and clean.

Dave M.

Yelp
Came highly recommended by the young lady in the rental car check out booth. Safe area, tight parking, limited seating. Don't be fooled by the outside, staff is great and restaurant is clean. Big menu filled with Cajun faves. The skrimp po boy was delicious, boudin balls were a little well done, but still good.

Kisha Y.

Yelp
First, shot out to my niece for referring me here. I enjoyed a delicious lunch here on my way to the airport. Let me start with the staff being pleasant and welcoming. I ordered the catfish and shrimp meal with a salad. It was delicious. The batter on the fish was different and absolutely delicious. I will be back when I'm in New Orleans again.

LaVonna V.

Yelp
The gumbo is good. The fried shrimp is my favorite. Juicy and plump every time i have ordered it. I like the fries. Good catfish on bun. Things taste clean to say its fried items. The workers are friendly and my order is never been wrong.

Yelp
My sister was visiting from California & I picked her up in NOLA; we both wanted some good cajun food, but no tourist traps! Williams seafood did not disappoint, it's been 3-4 months now & I cannot recall exactly what we ordered, but I know two fantastic po-boys (probably a shrimp & half shrimp/oyster) & a couple of cups of fabulous Gumbo & a fried appetizer (pickles I think) appeared on or table in exchange for a mere ~$37... WOW! Good bye forever to stupid, overpriced touristy joints when I'm visiting NOLA. Williams seems to be a locals joint, as many patrons came in & were immediately greeted by first name. Williams deserves high-praises: friendly/locals type of service with first-name recognition, excellent quality food prepared well &all for a reasonable price, I will be back! I also recommended Williams to my youngest son & his girlfriend when they were in NOLA a few weeks later & they both said it was awesome!. It's counter service for ordering & a bit of a smaller seating area, but our food came out quick, hot & fresh with no seating or or other negative issues - give Williams a try, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
One of the best shrimp sandwiches (on bun) that I've had in a long time. It was just perfection. Big perfectly fried deveined shrimp - almost too hot to eat- on a brioche bun. Yum!! And the fries were amazing. Also perfectly cooked, hot and crunchy. - and never got soggy! Stayed crunchy til the end. It's a walk up to counter, order, sit down at one of 7 tables and your food is brought to you. Not fancy - food is delicious! I have passed this little place for years on my way to Rouses, and never stopped. I will definitely plan to eat here in the future. I got a shrimp sandwich combo with fries and fountain drink for $11. It was worth the price.

Rebecca T.

Yelp
Food is always fresh! Very quick with orders. Usually do take out. Just ate in there recently. Quick service. Employees were very friendly. Quiet setting.

Foodie T.

Yelp
Excellent and fresh food, great prices. Wonderful service. Had the catfish box and the catfish was so fresh and perfectly fried. Will definitely return the next time I'm in Louisiana!

Robert L.

Yelp
Better than just about anywhere....had the combo shrimps oyster full size Thought I was going to eat half and take the rest home. That plan failed. Ate the whole damn thing! So good.

Marty M.

Yelp
Surprisingly delicious and comfort Cajun food. We stopped here on the way to the airport and was blown away with the food. It's a small restaurant with enough space for about 20. Clean seating area and bathrooms. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
We thought this place was great. We stopped here because I've been to NOLA several times but never once had a poboy. So, we split a poboy with Patton's spicy sausage and a bowl of gumbo. The sausage was a little spicy, but not overly so. Both very good. The fellow at the counter was very friendly as well. Would definitely return.

Lakeisha W.

Yelp
The food was really good. The service was okay. You walk in, place your order, when the food is ready they bring it to the table. The space is small, so you can't get completely comfortable. I'd definitely go, but it's just okay. Over all.

gary i.

Yelp
Great location. High prices. Bland and boring food. Potential is there, need to step it up.

Lacey D.

Yelp
My husband and I knew we were a little crazy for going to a place that sells a lot of fried seafood, an hour and a half before they closed, on Good Friday. Sure enough, they were crazy busy and several menu items were sold out. However we were able to order/ an order of hush puppies, a small shrimp poboy, and a shrimp and oyster seafood plate with fried okra. Everything was fried to perfection. Nothing was over cooked. It all needed some salt, but other than that it was delicious! I would happily return to try other menu items. Also, even though they were crazy busy, everyone was very friendly.

Huong H.

Yelp
my go to spot when wanted a poboy. love their breads! good prices great staffs and super fast

Justin P.

Yelp
Simple and delicious seafood po boy. Everything about it was delicious and hearty. The soft shell crab and shrimp 1/2 and 1/2 is now my favorite lunch.

Ceon F.

Yelp
Owner does not tip Cashier Food was very seasoned Fried to the right golden look Didn't eat in,looks crowded Very friendly with condiments

Doug K.

Yelp
Amazing. Came it NOLA on vacation and was looking for some real Cajun food the entire time. This place was it. Not like the French Quarter places that charge the tourists prices with garbage food. I wish I knew about this place sooner, would have went here instead. Great staff!

Leonard M.

Yelp
Outstanding app Boys, excellent service and an establishment for the ages....I highly suggest that you try this for lunch or dinner.

Justin M.

Yelp
Asian Ccreole is what you are getting here. $20 for one piece of fish and one soft shell crab. That's a bit much. That was better than grilled version but that's not saying much either. Grilled fish was bad and fishy. Shrimp was ok. The jambalaya was no good either. Gumbo was like cream of mushroom or some sort of beef gravy tasting thing. It was weird and not a real roux. The crawfish boudin surprisingly was not that bad. A little dry but at least decent flavor. Only ate here cause it was close to hotel with decent reviews. Won't do that again.

Katy D.

Yelp
Very good service, great shrimp. We wanted to try some local food, and it was pretty good.

David G.

Yelp
Don't let the outside fool you!! The food is awesome and the portions are huge!!! Will definitely be back when we come back to town!!

Christine M.

Yelp
What a surprise!!! Fried catfish was HOT and crunchy and great flavor. The PO'Boy was fantastic and huge. The only slight draw back was the gumbo which had great seafood flavor with Shrimp crawfish tails and rice but was not hot, warm at best. I would totally go back when I'm in town.

Lisa M.

Yelp
The service was awesome, I think the hostess name is Pam(I'm sorry if that's not)she was really fast and friendly taking my family's order. I ordered the shrimp sandwich combo that I did t get a picture of. It was hot and delicious with a lots of juicy shrimp, thank you from Ohio for great customer service.

Paul P.

Yelp
I was born and grew up in New Orleans, so I know the real deal when I taste it. You might not quite be technically in the city yet, but this is the real deal food right here!! You're not gonna get fried shrimp like this outside the state, and you won't even come close to bread!! Shrimp poboy was Excellent!! Side of Gumbo was the real deal too!! If you're looking for a real New Orleans food experience go here!! Everything was tippy top notch!!

S W.

Yelp
You have to try this great little restaurant! Fresh, clean and friendly definitely drive this business! The fried shrimp were big 21/25 size and they certainly know how to fry to perfection! We also ordered a Philly Steak which was surprisingly tender and loaded! Fries were even delicious! Great prices for a nice amount of food. Staff very attentive and courteous! We will be eating here again, for sure!

Alexandra M.

Yelp
amazing food and service! love their gumbo! to go orders are always quick and hot! will be back!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Had the Sampler platter and onion rings and was very disappointed. The seafood platter was served on the same plate as the salad and the hot seafood was on top of the salad. We had to request an additional plate. The soft shell crab had a half of claw and the entire crab was so tiny. The only option for utensils were cheap plastic fork, spoon and knife packaged with salt/pepper. The cheap plastic fork bent when trying to scoop out the stuffed crab that was hard as a rock and had no seasoning. The onion rings are not the flakey homemade onion rings I was expecting and were not good either. The salad dressing and tarter sauce are not homemade and cheap from a bottle. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the entire meal and will never be back.

Scott F.

Yelp
We love this place for a good Poboy and great bread that it comes on. Everything we've gotten has been great. Good spot for our local neighborhood.

Jazmine S.

Yelp
The food was delicious we had a catfish poboy and shrimp/catfish combo. Will definitely be returning.

Denise P.

Yelp
The hot food and cold food were put altogether in the same container whenever I placed my food order. It leaked in my car because the hot fish was put on top of my potato salad and peas. It made a big mess in my car. I mentioned that I just wanted cocktail sauce. Instead I got two tarter sauces that I don't like. Soggy French bread too! Not a good seafood meal for $15!

Dean H.

Yelp
The owners are superb and spot on from taking the order to serving the freshest and best tasting food in the area. They get a 6 star rating if possible!!

Dell B.

Yelp
Late Review!!! Another great experience! I love this spot. Shrimp PoBoy and Gumbo! The food is soooooo good. Perfect after flight stop and before hotel check in!!! always consistent. Reasonably priced....extra dill pickles on the side. Yummy. No words. Brought our son this time, he's a college student and it knocked his socks off.

Jack B.

Yelp
Not very good!!! Save your money for sure. They will give you limes instead of lemons for your seafood. They will give you ranch dressing instead of giving you tartar sauce. You will get a 9"Vietnamese bread for poboy bread instead of regular French bread. Don't even tell them you want extra lettuce because no matter how many times you tell them you won't get it. They just don't care enough to do it right. Peace, I will go to Harbor Seafood.

Ramón Y.

Yelp
We ordered from this restaurant to go last night as we stopped in Kenner, Louisiana. I ordered the food online. It said it would be ready on 30 minutes. I got there a little early and the food was ready. I didn't know what to expect. My husband and I each ordered fried catfish, fried oysters and fried shrimp. The last time I had this food was in California in the city of Inglewood by the race track. If you've been to LA you'll know what kind of area I'm describing. I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I tasted this back then. The food from Williams Seafood and Po-Boy was a match to the one I've had in the past if not better. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a small place but the food packs a big flavor.

Julie F.

Yelp
More like 3 1/2 stars. This small very casual restaurant does a big take out business for locals. As we ate dinner, we watched customers come and go for pickups and take out. We were the only eat in diners for the first thirty minutes. It's good if you're looking for a less expensive, quieter place with no ambience and some decent seafood. The cup portion of seafood gumbo was some small shrimp and pieces of okra with a bit of white rice in a broth. The gumbo came with packages of saltines. Although there wasn't much seafood in it, the broth part was very very flavorful. I wasn't that hungry so I just asked for two soft shell crabs without bread, sides etc. At $6.50 each, the price was right. They came lightly battered and fried on a bed of shredded lettuce with lemon wedges and both cocktail and tartar sauce. They were medium in size and just what I was craving. You order at the counter and they deliver your food to you. Sodas are taken from the cooler -- you can request cups of ice to go with them.

Bradley A.

Yelp
Friendly service! However, the fried shrimp PoBoy was only good and not close to great. Better places in NOLA.

Victoria P.

Yelp
Decided to try this place after reading all the stellar reviews. Ordered the Monday night special which was red beans and rice with smoked sausage, corn bread and tossed salad all for only $8. The woman who took my order on the phone was very pleasant and assured me that my food would be ready in 5 minutes. She was right. It was all ready when I arrived. Normally, I'm not a big fan of New Orleans style cooking but this was prepared very well. The salad was nice and fresh and the corn bread was very good. They give you a packet of salad dressing and I chose blue cheese which I didn't think was very good. Next time I would get ranch dressing. If you're looking for a hearty, stick to your ribs type of meal for a very affordable price this is it.

Bobby B.

Yelp
Food was great! Bathrooms were clean, the staff was very personable and friendly! This is not a fancy place it simple a nuts and bolts local eatery! Has 7 tables and the food is fresh, hot and well seasoned!! So the best thing I can say is I will eat their again next time I'm passing thru N.O.

John S.

Yelp
I eat here a couple times a week and it is GREAT!! Friendly staff with fantastic food. If you dont like this place, you just cant be pleased.
