I thought leaving a 1 star review after my experience here was a bit much but then I saw the other reviews and knew that I wasn't alone on my encounter. You go inside and not even after a minute or 2 you are greeted in a way that isn't meant to be friendly but that makes you feel like you are attempting to steal. And then again a few more times while shopping you keep getting asked but in a passive aggressive way. And then there are 2 ladies and a man just yelling across the store consistently which is so unprofessional. "Take your break" "I already took one" and so on throughout our entire shopping there. We went across to crate and barrel and it was instantly a different vibe. Ended up purchasing what we wanted there and will continue or shopping there. As a new home owner, I'll do all my shopping elsewhere. I read someone else’s review saying that the crew here were a “disgrace to the brand” and I agree! This location needs a total regain of employment ASAP.

Pat was an absolute nightmare. I’ve been a great customer of Williams Sonoma for years, often purchasing high-end kitchenware and appliances. However, my most recent visit to this location was absolutely unacceptable and has left me vowing never to return.this encounter left me shaking from shock. While browsing, my mom and I encountered an open flame on a stove with a pot next to it. There was no “Do Not Touch” sign or any indication that it wasn’t meant for customer interaction—we actually thought it was a display for testing the stove or knobs. When my mom touched it to check the knobs and how the stove works, a staff member named Pat suddenly appeared and attacked us verbally, yelling, “Do not touch that. You’re not allowed to touch that. Do you need anything?” She continued to shout at us even after I expressed shock, and this all happened in front of other customers and people she was helping. It was humiliating and completely unprofessional. I asked to speak to a manager, but the damage was already done. Pat’s behavior was not only rude but also embarrassing, especially in such a public setting. The lack of clear signage combined with her aggressive response shows poor training and a lack of customer service skills. Williams Sonoma prides itself on quality, but if this is how their staff treats customers, I won’t be spending my money here again. I hope management addresses this issue, as it’s a disgrace to the brand. 1 star. I cannot recommend this location.

Came in today to take a look around was looking to add to my knife collection of Globe scissors and bone tweezers. An elder Caucasian women who worked there was quite rude and ask to look at there selection as its locked cabinet. She rolled her eyes! When showing me the selection she had no idea what she was looking for, i offered to help but she insisted. What a waste of if time and dealing was painful, sorry you lost my business to amazon especially with your rude attitude. Fire this lady already!

I got a potato peeler as a gift earlier this year. But it broke and I was wondering if I could get a replacement. i have bought many potato peelers in my day but never one that broke within a few months. I was taken aback by the rudeness of the store clerk. "Well you can't expect these to have a lifetime guarantee" he snorted. Okay. I showed him how the white handle was stained by carrot juice. And he just handed it back to me. No sorrys. No nothing but a definite "you aren't worth the time" vibe. I chuckled to myself. Thankfully it was just a potato peeler. I had planned to buy several All-clad stainless steel skillets but made my purchase at Crate and Barrel instead.

The women who work at the South Coast Plaza store are rude. They offer to help you find something and then judge your questions with snippy short answers. Will go to a different vendor where the people are nice .

I really love this store, but some of the employees are really rude and lack of knowledge. They misrepresent the return and refund policy and make you feel like there are no such things as returns. I bought an espresso machine and there was a lady that helped me, she was very nice but there is this guy he has curly hair, middle aged, and wears glasses. He is extremely mean and has a terrible attitude, he kept telling me I cannot return the espresso machine if I don’t like it. That is not true their vendors take the machines and deal with it. If I am not satisfied with the machine, the common sense is to return it in the original condition. In my case, I was able return the espresso machine that I was not satisfied due to lack of performance and more reasons after I talked with their headquarters customer service and mentioned that to the employees there. Definitely needs significant improvements with employees attitudes, manners and knowledge with company’s rules and policies.

Customer service is SO BAD . They don’t return defective items. Will not buy their stuff anymore.

Yelp
Michelle you are doing an AMAZING job! I am so grateful for all your assistance. Everything is settling down, I finally spoke with Evonne. It's all green lights and will be made as easy as possible. I can't thank you enough for stepping in. People like you and Tim give me hope in humanity. William-Sonoma, Michelle deserves a raise and/or promotion.

Yelp
This is for Williams Sonoma Inc. re: Pottery Barn Home We purchased this couch for $4,200 on 8/28/2024, and since it was custom made, we received it 10/3/2024. When we first received it, it was stunning to say the least. Since we have 3 older kids and knew this would be used, we chose a "finer" fabric that was supposed to be washable, livable, and cozy. It was an "upgrade" fabric. We first started noticing the piling approximately 2 weeks after we received it. The piling is so uncomfortable now, it feels like you are sitting on pebbles, and we have since put sheets on it so we can sit on it for comfort. I reached out to Pottery Barn January 10th in person at the store. I was actually going back to look at their showroom couches to see if there was piling on their floor models that we may have missed and should have seen. They put in a complaint for me thus sending me a 3.5 inch "fuzz shaver" for my 120 inch couch that had piling all over it on every cushion. I told her that I had never had piling on a couch before, and with all of the selection of couches on the market, my husband and I chose Pottery Barn because of their quality. I have reached out numerous times after getting my "shaver", and no one is returning my calls or emails. I did not want to leave this review. I am only looking for either my money back or a different fabric cover on these cushions. Have since filed a compliant with the BBB. They have a C+ score. I shouldn't be surprised. Take your money elsewhere. I have reached out almost daily with no one reaching back out or no leads as to whom to I could reach. Shame on you Pottery Barn.

Yelp
My mom and I were in today and we were asking a lady about the colorful mixing bowl set. She was behind the counter around 2:55pm and she kept saying how "those are the only ones they had." We told her about the colorful ones from a bake shop because when baking I need different colors to help my extremely poor vision. She then said she would call the storage as my mom and I looked some more at the different scents of candles, sprays and such. We had been looking for a good six to eight minutes and we heard nothing back from the very rude lady or from storage. It wasn't as if we were in the back or front we were in the same proximity as she was. This isn't the first time we've been treated poorly. However this time was the last. It wasn't busy. The other lady was busy, but the one who we dealt with was not. Every time we go in to the South Coast Plaza it's as if we a scum or we're going to steal. Even though the William Sonoma in Crystal Cove is smaller we are NEVER treated poorly. Even if they are busy during the Holiday season or just a slow weekday we are always greeted with warmth and kindness. I hope that your employees take a lesson in what true costumer service is. This will be the very last time we will be shopping at this store and being treated as if we're not welcomed.

Scout G.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. This store is the worst. The employees are rude and nasty. Every time I go into this store, I get treated as a bother, an inconvenience to their day. I would go as far to say that I get treated like garbage. I will never set foot in this store again. It's so bad that I will be reaching out to the corporate headquarters.

Yelp
My coworkers gave me a $200.00 gift card from William Sonoma last March. I was very busy and waited until August to use it. When I went to the register it said 0 balance. I paid with my card. I then called customer service to request some information on how to start an investigation. They confirmed that the card was bought and filled with $200.00, but according to them it was used on June 9th. I asked them if they can check the location where it was used and the video. To my surprise the agent said "I will take note of everything you say to see if they will do something". I asked again if they can check and find the thief, and once more I told that it depended on the customer service agent that would read the report on Monday. I've been calling and all they do is transfer me from person to person just to get no concrete answers about who used my card. The most outrageous question was "Did you keep your card secured or in the safe?". The card was not even scratched in the back nor used or taken out of the envelope in which I received it! I thought that William Sonoma was a respectable company, but so far I' am very disappointed by the lack of customer service they have.

Yelp
Hi, I a fan of WS for many years. I decided to purchase their Parmigiano-Reggiano QTY: 1 $69.95 It arrived in a small cardboard box, sealed with clear moving tape, in 90 degree weather.. no PERSHABLE LABEL, no COLD FOOD shipping paper NOTHING.. just the 86.00 after shipping fee and taxes cheese wrapped in its own plastic wrap. Upon opening the box the cheese was HOT.. HOT, so I called WS, and they didnt know why it arrived this way, but customer service said it needs no refrigeration..WHAT.. not my question and of course this cheese can be out room temp, but it came HOT, they did give me a refund.. but beware of shipping methods because I had to compost the expensive cheese, which was so disappointing.

Yelp
I'm sorry for the one star, but i have never been so dissatisfied, I come in regularly to buy my bar articles ( here or Cristal cove ) today I was horrible treated by one of the sale assistants at the south coast plaza location, felt unwelcome. If it was not for Cindy the Manager I would have been very mad, thank you Cindy for your help and for listening to the horrendous experience I've had, let me tell you something the Other manager Emily it's not as nice as you are!!! you deserve recognition for what you do, thanks again :) . I hope coming back to get everything I need for my bar is not such a pain as it was with the other ladies. I bet there is a lot of people who would love to work at this beautiful store, people with manners , nice happy about life , not angry and unprofessional. Reach me best evelia.hospitality@gmail.com

Aerick B.

Yelp
Every time I shop at WS all of the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Prices are good for what you are buying

Michele G.

Yelp
Love going to this store! It has so many great ideas for gifts. I bought a set of pots and didn't realize that they had given me the wrong ones so I had to go back to exchange them for the ones I actually bought. The workers there are nice and very helpful but double check your purchase before you leave the store.

Winston W.

Yelp
We visited the store on June 8th, 2024 to get an exchange of the filter for our Jura ENA 8 coffer maker. The short filter has been replaced with the long one and we tried to get an exchange. The male salesperson rudely told us that the the package was open and it could not be exchanged. Also he told us the short filter was still usable as long as the water level in the water tank submerged the filter. I was very much surprised by the statement. I questioned the statement by saying I thought the filter had to have contact with the bottom of the water tank in order to filter the water. He loudly denounced that by saying it would work fine if the water level was high and the filter was submerged. His tone was so loud and dismissive. I noticed many other customers turned to look at us and I felt very much embarrassed. We agreed to purchase new filters anyways. While my wife went to talk to Patricia to inquire about other products, I went over to look at the ENA8 coffee maker again. Even though I do not have an engineering background, I am working as a research scientist in a medical products company. It seems to be very obvious that the filter has to make contact with the inlet to the system in order to have filtered water to go inside the machine. Emily, the store manager, saw me investigating the machine and she came over to ask whether I had any questions. She confirmed that the short filter would not work anymore since it could not reach the bottom of the water tank and she agreed to exchange the short filter with a long one. Because of Patricia and Emily, our our trip to the store became pleasant and enjoyable again. We recovered from the embarrassment by the obnoxious male salesperson. We did feel relieved but could not stop thinking the embarrassment the male salesperson brought to the Williams Sonoma for being so ignorant about the products the store carries. He embarrassed himself for being so ignorant and he showed with his behavior for being unfit to work for a great company, the Williams Sonoma. It would have been a total disaster if we did not interact with Patricia and Emily. Thank you, Patricia and Emily.

Yelp
Staff here is careless , they act like they own the items in the store, gladly went to sur la table and got proper advise and was able to get my items without seeing crazy faces during the holidays , it's sad every year it's the same, very unfortunate encounters with staff , I think they don't have a life outside of Williams Sonoma , they must live in the dirt Haha , that's why the protect everything like it's their very own.

Yelp
Avoided this place for a long time. Gave them a chance, and manager Cindy immediately reminded me how lousy this store is on customer service. Huge waste of my time. Cashier was utterly lost, presumably poor training of Holiday help. Cindy had attitude without any reason. Will avoid this place like the plague. Managers like Cindy are why I prefer Amazon.

Yelp
Very upset with my experience here. I am 8 months pregnant and I saw that they had fresh baked cookies which looked like they were giving out. I asked about them and the employee said I can get one if I donate $5 to St Jude. I was happy to do so, then she said I couldn't because they only took cash. Again, I was happy to do so, but she didn't give me that option. She just made some weird excuse that I couldn't even understand. I was looking at pie crust mix, and I picked up a box. I took it to that same employee and the mix got all over my navy dress because the box had a little hole or something. Not once did she offer to grab me napkins or water to clean my dress, she never offered anything to help or compensate for my dress getting ruined by their defectively boxed product. This is such poor customer service. I felt so uncomfortable that I left without buying anything.

Shannon B.

Yelp
Walked in to ask a question - was treated terribly. Not busy team member - just ignored my questionand walked away, multiple times. Just rude.

Yelp
It's not the store BUT the corporation. I ordered online a Wolf oven that was 435.45. Well Williams Sonoma CANCELED my order for NO reason except to bump up the price from $399. to $499.... My cc was ok with this purchase but I guess this company wanted MORE. So they cancelled my order and then I saw it again online and it went up $100.00 This is a despicable bate and switch practice that companies do to cover their ass-ets. I will no longer buy ANYTHING from this disgusting company!!! I implore you to do the same. This is just BS

Yelp
The help is Lame I guess it's hard to find good help there they want to help you really just want to look on their phones and talk to there associates came to buy a 600 coffee pot I decided to buy it on line

Yelp
The incompetence at this place is beyond belief. I went in to do a simple exchange for a sauté pan. The manger Cindy processed the exchange as a gift card , which would be shipped to my home, within 2 weeks. But she told me to wait for an email shortly after 2 hours I decided to call customer service and they explained to me the reason why I have not received an email or would receive an email but a physical card in the mail. When I called the store to complain the manger Cindy did not take any responsibility for her incompetence and dismissed my concerns. So now I have to wait up to 2 weeks for a physical card and then drive 34 miles across the orange curtain and drive 34 miles back home. Or wait another week to have the item shipped to my home. And all Cindy could tell me is "Sorry". WTF?

Yelp
Look, I used to work in retail. I know how loss prevention works. However, I didn't think my husband and I did anything to warrant the suspicion we received at this store. If the woman I'm speaking of wasn't profiling us based on race, then she was definitely profiling us based on socioeconomic status. She practically chased my husband down to grab an item we wanted to buy. She said, "oh let me see if this is a display." (It was clearly not a display because it had tissue paper protecting the lid) and then completely took the item out of my husband's hands and placed it on her counters like we were going to make off with an item than cost less than $40. She said, "I'm going to place this right here." Lady, you weren't slick. Maybe these behaviors were unintentional as micro aggressions generally are, but the impact is the same. The impact is that we did not feel comfortable shopping there after this experience. We left feeling less than human. If this behavior is unintentional then maybe be more mindful of how you approach people of color, or people not dressed to the 10s because you don't know what people are going through. We were dressed terribly because I am having a hard time with my depression. Maybe if we showed up in our scrubs, we would have been treated differently.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. I came in looking to purchase a brand new Breville and a hot pot. There's two clients in the store and no one is being helped by the associates. As I walk in, I'm not greeted by the associate that's just standing there. Right after me another couple walks in who may look a little more affluent than I, and are promptly greeted and asked what they are looking for. So off to C&B I go.

Yelp
Williams-Sonoma offers high quality products for the gourmet kitchen of your dream! Every item I have purchased forthe past 25 year, I have been satisfied however something is going on with management or morale of the staff, that is reflecting their customer service. The staff seem overwhelmed and tired. I don't get that happy feeling, I used to get when entering the store, in particular during the holidays. It's really sad because for our entire family it's been a tradition to go to Williams-Sonoma during the holidays and get that new item that will complete our holiday meal or that new cookware or plate that will be displayed and we will do proudly pass along to generations so I hope this review helps management to bring that beautiful whimsical feeling that we used to get when entered your store! Happiness is entertaining, please entertaining your clientele!

Yelp
So, we have been WS shoppers for decades. And yes,.... I too have had some really bad customer service from a particular employee. It was so bad that if we see that employee- we will NOT shop in the store. That said,... the rest of the time - we have had pretty good service. LIKE TODAY! Wow. What a great experience. We had a wonderful experience with our staff today. She helped us get a beautiful new set of silverware and steak knives AND new service items. PLUS they are shipping it to the house,.. no shipping charges. We have been very happy with our Williams Sonoma experiences - especially the last two visits. We kinda spent bonkers,.. haha. Did you know they have the MOST AMAZING patio umbrella with heat AND led lighting?!?' But it's like $15K. Wow So today,.. a BIG THANK YOU to Leslie for helping us OUT. We did on-line research and more.

Layanne L.

Yelp
Terrible experience with Williams Sonoma. I placed one order online, and they processed two orders. I only found out after multiple boxes were being delivered to my house. I called and complained and CS wanted me paying a fee to return the products that were mistakenly delivered. Not to mention that I stayed over an hour on the phone with CS.

Yelp
We can't quite figure out why, but every time we are in this store we are greeted with rude/disinterested customer service. Everyone is impatient, and generally very unwilling to assist especially in the event of a return. We were registered with Williams-Sonoma/Pottery Barn for our wedding and have visited multiple stores in each chain over the last year, and this is by far the worst service. On the other hand, the service at Williams-Sonoma at Crystal Cove is excellent.

Mona L.

Yelp
My rating is based on poor customer service. I asked one of the sales associates if they had any flexible (aka bendable) spatulas. She looked at me like I had asked her a scientific math question and she gave me an attitude. I rephrased and said to her something made out of silicone. She told me yeah they do somewhere over there. I said can you show me because I don't see any. She walked me over with an attitude. I thanked her after she showed me and decided I wouldn't buy anything there given their service. This took place on January 10th in the afternoon. Store needs a lot of work on their customer service.

D L.

Yelp
I placed an online order for Croissants for Christmas morning. I called their Customer Service Center to get info on the delivery date and time. They give an estimate delivery date they are shipped frozen but I wanted to be sure I was around to receive as I didn't want them to defrost on my doorstep. What horrible customer service . First of all I paid almost $40 for 8 croissants and all I wanted to know was if they could give me any info on delivery date and time. I work witch the public as well and the Christmas rush is stressful but how hard is it to answer a simple question ‍
google avatar

Claudia A.

Yelp
Terrible refund policy. Everything you buy you need to be 100% that you need or it works, if not, they treat it as ALL SALES FINAL. So discouraging. Next time, I'll give my business to a place with better understanding for the client.

Yelp
I could just fall in love with all the beautiful dishes and silverware. Store is neat, organized, and plenty of staff to help customers. Lois helped me picked out a beautiful marble cheese plate. I was embarrassed because I didn't know what the marble piece was for. Lois kindly told me about it without being condescending. She even helped me find the best looking piece. This hilly billy appreciates Lois. . Will definitely be back.

Yelp
The store was super busy but Maria took the time and patience to help me with the China I wanted :-) All staff here is super friendly and always go above and beyond. Sometimes you have to be a little patient cauSe there are always a lot of customers, but they do make your visit extremely pleasant.

Yelp
False advertising and poor service. Since pandemic customer service at this SCP location has gone downhill. Came in looking for a small item, and was not greeted until we got in line. When asked about the item, salesperson wasn't familiar but checked computer. Found the item which was about $30 and told they could ship it to home, BUT there would be a shipping charge of nearly $10. Asked if it could be shipped to the store instead but salesperson check with supervisor who told her no. Can only order online and have it shipped to home with shipping fee. Filled out a customer service survey more than a week ago to express concern but no response from W-S. Done with this store. Bought merchandise on Amazon with zero shipping charge.

B B.

Yelp
Yes and no on the recommendations. Store is amazing... staff is not. They look at you with judgmental eyes. Some of them change there moods depending on who you are as a customer. It's hard to get help with inquiries.I find it rather annoying and rude!

Straight F.

Yelp
Worst place ever to go! Racist and highly inappropriate with how they interact with customers. Asking customers to leave because they ask representatives questions horrible customer service. Better off at Amazon or Best Buy. Even store manager was rude and inappropriate never shop at William sunoma again! Food pots and pan maybe they know but coffee they are very rude disgusting people

Yelp
We reluctantly returned because they carried pots and pans my husband wanted. We happened to have an appt. at Apple store which is very close. So we went in. It was like a different store. We were immediately greeted. Someone was available to serve my husband. They answered all his questions, bring out the products and allowing him to look at them. We were so impressed we bought what we needed and had the ship what they didn't have in stock. The shipped products arrived quickly. One item was not what my husband wanted so we returned to the store. Again we were treated with respect and the found exactly what my husband wanted (plus a few extra gadgets) Treating all customers with respect and kindness goes far. We spent a $2000.00 we are thrilled. We left happy and the store made a good sale. Thumbs up to your improvements. We will return!!

Yelp
The customer service here is shockingly terrible. Pat, I'm looking at you and apparently, I'm not alone after searching other reviews here for her name. Her condescending and snooty attitude is outrageously outstanding. She truly deserves an award for the most rude and unhelpful retail employee.
google avatar

Ed K.

Yelp
If i could give 0 stars i would. We patiently waited to see some expensive $3k expresso makers to be told we couldn't sample the coffee from the machine. We were rudely told by an older woman, we aren't serving coffee. The funny part is we just got done sampling it in the previous store, so we will likely buy the machine from another place. Thanks for that special William Sonoma experiemce.

Briana R.

Yelp
I went in to the store wanting to buy some cookware and the women there would rather get paid to gossip than paid to work. They're very passive aggressive and shouldn't work in retail. Williams-Sonoma needs to higher younger, more helpful employees. When I finally received help not only was one of the old ladies rude but she took her sweet time to finish her gossip session while I waited for my items.

Charlotte T.

Yelp
I'm echoing what is already posted here many times. The SCP store is poorly managed and the employees seem to take their cue from the store manager. WS has lost me as a customer over a $7. mistake on their part. It's not the $ but the principal since it was their mistake. WS has a history of telling you something is in stock, taking your money and then later you find that it's on back order. The worst part is, they don't tell you it's on back order. You find out when you're wondering why you haven't received a shipping notice and you go to your account orders and it states back order. No notification letting you know! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Yelp
Lois was a gem!!! She noticed right away that I was picking up quite a few things and was going to soon be unable to gracefully hold much more than I already had. Lois careful secured my selection at the counter and browsed with me a bit as I tested out a few products and made further selections. She has such a gently friendly demeanor and the perfect conversationalist. I didn't feel pushed at all to purchase a single thing. It was perfect!! THANK YOU LOIS!

Their curbside pickup is definitely one thing I really love about this William Sonoma. Because their parking in this mall can sometimes be a bit hard to find. Who'd thought I would be thanking covid for something but I guess this is the one good thing that they added due to this horrible pandemic. Just order it online and pickup curbside to avoid shipping fee. I bought the creamy tomato pasta sauce. The quality is amazing. Most their sauce in store are very tasty and you really can't find it anywhere else in that good quality. Is a bit expensive than the supermarket equivalents but hey, you get what you pay for.

Yelp
I went into William Sonoma and approached Jonathan who was a complete sour apple and blatantly rude for no reason. He gave us a hard time about a return that I had already cleared with Customer Care. I left and came back to see Jonathan rudely and loudly gossiping to the entire team in the middle of the store. Next thing I know I hear the man talking shit to a coworker right in front of our faces. Thats the last time I'll be going to William Sonoma. Horrible person to be at the face of a high-end brand like this one

Yelp
Why... why... why is the staff at Williams-Sonoma so unwelcoming? I'm a foodie, I love to cook and I enjoy beautiful and good quality cookware. I shop at Williams-Sonoma often and GENEROUSLY. Now, this is all despite the terrible service I have received 99% of the time I have been there. Today, I dropped into Williams-Sonoma to buy a salt block and salt block holder. An employee approached me and asked if she could help, I said "yes". I explained what I was looking for and she informed me that she wasn't sure they had any in stock but would check the back-stock. She used her radio and asked for back-stock to be checked then walked off. I assumed she was walking off to retrieve my item. While I was waiting for my item I struck up a conversation with an employee behind the register by asking her if she knew when they would be offering a cooking class using the salt block. The chef was standing behind her so she turned to him and asked if he knew... he shrugged his shoulders and moaned out an "I don't know" without even looking up at me. The lady then turned to me and told me I'd have to refer to the class schedules on the easel outside of the store. By now 15 minutes passed and I set out to look for my sales rep. I found her chit-chatting with a co-worker near another register. She kinda looked shocked when I walked up on her. She then immediately blurted out... "no salt blocks with holder in stock". So, I told my husband to only purchase the salt block scrapper and we'd make our salt block purchase at another cookware store a couple of doors down. When paying for the scrapper the lady at the register asked my husband if someone had helped him. My husband told her "yes", my wife helped me find this item as your associates were unable to offer us any kind help whatsoever today. The lady at the register didn't inquire as to the comment or apologize. I have spent most of my career teaching customer service skills to Fortune500 businesses who valued their customers. It amazes me that a company like Williams-Sonoma that caters to customers with high customer service expectations could offer such poor customer service.

Yelp
So disappointed with the customer service here. Jonathan, an employee of Williams Sonoma, had an immediate attitude when I asked for help initiating a return.. Nothing about this man was welcoming. When I asked for a receipt he told me that he can't give me one.. I walked away for a couple of minutes and when I decided to come back he was talking poorly about me to his co workers in a group. Very immature of a grown man especially while working. This man should NOT be employed at a high end store with such a poor attitude towards customers. Definitely will not be giving this store further business..

Yelp
Horrible customer service. We called to check stock on a $300 knife, and the woman who answered the phone was snippy and condescending. No wonder all these stores are closing. We'll never shop there again.

Yelp
This Williams-Sonoma used to be on the east side of the South Coast Plaza, and moved to this new location, which displays home goods, as well as cooking ware. I miss the former location, and feel the home goods are not why we (I) shop at the store, but for the quality utensils, pots, and imported goods, only Williams-Sonoma carries. I feel this new location has lost that edge of bringing the customer inside to buy fine cooking equipment, but has Big-Boxed the concept of the Brand. I think I'll shop the internet, as I've lost the personality of the store...

Yelp
This store is disgusting. I ordered a wreath online and it was weirdly small. I received it last Thursday (05/12/22) and decided to "exchange" it @ the Crystal Court store. I was treated like white trash and told "All Sales Are Final." After some discussion, they refunded me. Then expected me to buy a bigger one. I walked out- So I do have a refund (05/13/2022), however, they charged me MORE on 05/12/22.... Not a charge I made! I came home and bought another wreath from another business- Egregious!

Yelp
I was thrilled to find nice things on sale and placed a couple online orders for store pickup. They filled my orders super fast, and I was very impressed. I had never been to this location and have to admit that i was very confused about where to go, especially when the mall was closed, confusing curbside pick up signs for William sonoma were seen at the underground parking structure and again at the mall entrance, and I was given wrong instruction by the security to wait in the parking lot. So I called the store again because i knew the first associate had said to come to the front of the store, Which was open, but the mall security said the store was inside the mall and the mall was closed. So i decided to call the store to clarify. The 2nd time and the 3rd time I called, it went to another associate who first kept me on hold for 5 minutes and never returned, and then the second time hung me up. I guess she went to look for me? But both times? Both times she said "One second" and gone. Didn't tell me that they had looked for me. 15 minutes later I finally reached the first associate, this was the 4th time I called. Since I was at the underground parking lot during my first phone call, I could not understand her direction. This time i was at the street level parking lot, It made more sense. Her response was pretty strong though, that i was not at the right place, and doesn't matter what other associates said SHE had told me clearly where to go, Which made me feel sorry that i wasted Their time since it takes me 4 phone calls to find the store. I understand miscommunication happens, and i do not mind waiting, asking around on my own, or apologizing for my confusion. I definitely needed help to know where to go but did not feel helped by the team today. It is unfortunate that in the future i may choose to shop at another location or brand where i will receive proper customer service. Dave who handed me my order is very courteois. Thank you.
