My friend and I went to the Williams-Sonoma Fair Oaks Mall store today for a free cooking technique class on pressure cooking. The teacher used real ingredients, which included chicken and beef. She proceeded to put gloves on, put the completely raw chicken in the cooker with her "bare" hands, and then NOT TAKE THOSE SAME GLOVES OFF FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES! She touched everything with those contaminated gloves! Not to mention one of the spatulas used had blood dripping from it. When I say she touched everything, I mean the counter we were using, both pressure cookers, the checkout counter, the flyers, the serving napkins, the cup holding the tasting forks, etc. This, to me, is unacceptable. I know the risk of poisoning is somewhat low, but that's not the point. This is basic cooking knowledge. That all being said, I still like W-S products, and I'm not against buying their stuff, I'll just do it online, and I will NEVER set foot in that store again. Who knows how many other times she has done this, or what hasn't been cleaned after she (or somebody else) touched it. I'm not sure there's enough Clorox in the world to clean that store. Everybody beware.
