The store is just beautiful!!!!! The lighting is so bright, exactly what you need!!! It is very well organized and I love the cromatic design! The ladies that are working here are extremely kind and super helpful! They are never pushy or anything like that but they are always willing to help, which I truly appreciate!!! I always go there for retail therapy and I end up with a lot of things that I need in my house that make my heart so happy!

Google
Bright, organized, well lit, and full of everything involving kitchens. Stainless steel cookware, ceramic cookware, utensils galore. Holiday mugs. The had a cute Día de los Muertos tea set and a variety of ethnic Santa mugs, and Halloween mugs too. Staff was friendly and welcoming as well. Cathy and Veronica were very helpful.

I had a fantastic experience at Williams Sonoma thanks to Jadranka! She was incredibly knowledgeable and patient while showing me the different coffee machines. She took the time to explain the features of each one and helped me figure out which machine would best fit my needs. Her friendly and professional attitude made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. If you're looking for someone who truly knows their stuff and genuinely cares about helping customers, ask for Jadranka!

Really friendly staff! I’ve come here a bunch of times and it’s always been great.

I want to recognize Kathryn at Williams Sonoma in Oakbrook, IL, the sales manager at Williams Sonoma, for providing truly outstanding service—unlike anything I’ve experienced before. She took the time to ensure I was completely satisfied with my purchase and went above and beyond to make sure my coffee machine was working properly. It’s rare to find someone like Kathryn who genuinely cares about customers and takes pride in what she does. Exceptional service!

If I could give zero stats I would. I tried returning my item that I bought at their location within the 30 day return policy. The employee decides to tell me thst they do not take returns on items used. I said thats not what your store policy says. I called William Sonoma customer service and the person I spoke to said I am correct and I should be able to return the item. Customer service calls the manager at this location and they told him to tell me to come back to come to an agreement on my options. Sketchy and unprofessional. Never will I purchase anything from here again. They get to pick and choose who can return items.

Tatyana Synoversky

Google
I have been here a few times, and the customer service has always been pleasant. I love the variety of coffee machines and kitchen items they have. The store allows you to test coffee machines before purchasing, which is excellent, especially when you plan to buy an expensive one.

I wish i got the name of the woman who helped me. She was super kind and took the time to explain the store layout as it was my first time in. Very welcoming atmosphere. :)

Yelp
Very knowledgeable staff and excellent experience! They REALLY know their product. Also had a fire at my home and lost my Breville oven so I had to submit it to insurance and they still had the record from years earlier. Love WS!

Georgia W.

Yelp
Horrible company and wish I could give 0 stars. Used them for my wedding registry and two items were purchased more than once because the registry did not automatically say they were purchased. I called the registry support number two times to try and get help and was told they would look at the problem within 5 to 7 days. The problem was never resolved, and I was told I would be called back with an update and was never called back. My mom then went into the store to have a manager help her with the problem and the manager at the Oak Brook location, David, told her that it was no big deal that four potholders had been purchased when we only requested one. He was extremely rude, and told my mom that she was lying about four potholders being purchased, even though they had all arrived at our house already. He told her she was a liar until I took a picture of them and sent them to her so that she could show him. Never use this company for your registry or for any purchases because you will not be able to get any help if a problem arises.

Yelp
The women that work here need a serious lesson in customer service. I received 12 red wine glasses as a gift and wanted to exchange half of them for white wine glasses, which were the same exact price. They treated me like I was some sort of thief for not having a receipt. It took 20 minutes and 3 different people to get it done, all of which were rude.

Cherise G.

Yelp
The managers, Catherine (not sure of the spelling) and Vicky are incredibly sarcastic. snarky, and condescending. I have been shopping at the Oak Brook location for years. I will not be walking back in there because I don't want to deal with them. After my interaction with Vicky, I put my product back and walked out without making a purchase. I ordered the same product online from a different store that night. I wish that their corporate office would have them revisit training in customer service. If W-S lost my business because of these 2 ladies I'm sure that they are losing other peoples business as well. In a world that is heavily moving towards online shopping, brick & mortar stores need to make sure that their employees are kind & respectful. Side note- Dana, the sales clerk was helpful & sweet.

Yelp
I've been coming here for some time and I really like this store. They have a huge selection of just about anything you could need for your kitchen or dinning area and it's all very well organized. Additionally, they have a good number of sales people around to help you out. I've gotten place matts, glasses and cooking utensils from them and have been very happy with every purchase. Today I needed help with a few things for Thanksgiving. The sales girl who helped us, Micki, was great. She was not only friendly and helpful but very knowledgeable about what was needed and what would or wouldn't work. She even ended up saving us some money with her recommendations. I think the prices are well worth the quality and helpful service. I recommend them.

Susan S.

Yelp
Store staff are very helpful. If you like service and quality products, this is the place to visit.

Yelp
I have been to this WS twice, and loved it both times! The first time I visited with family in town from Germany, and we loved all their food samples (chocolate chip pumpkin bread & a french onion soup & more) - and loved browsing the store. It's definitely not a cheap store, but you get what you pay for - everything is real quality in here! This is also a flagship store, so its larger than a lot of other WS, so you can normally find what you are looking for. They also offer a return & learn option, so you can always come back in with what you purchased and get a 15 minute 1:1 consultation to learn how to better use your purchases at home! (How cool is that?) - Oh and they also do knife sharpening in store! (The knives don't even have to have been purchased at WS.) The second time I visited this store was for a Yelp event, which was a Crepe cooking class. Before visiting, I wasn't aware that their free classes are more just demonstrations, so it wasn't very hands on - but definitely informative! Rich, their culinary expert, lead the class and really knew his stuff. The crepes were delicious and I basically feel like a kitchen pro now. I will definitely be looking online for more classes/ demos to attend here!

Yelp
I looooove to shop in WS stores but Oakbrook mall is my favorite!! Always pleasant atmosphere, ladies who work there are more than willing to help and they are polite. Place is amazing, and I could spend hours here and I want and need everything for my home. Gadgets for cooking or set of new knifes, or plates , name it and you will love it. I love how it smells like home too, bc of the WS test kitchen recipes.. Ladies are always cooking something nice and you can get pretty cool ideas from them.. anyway you will love it.

Yelp
This is not only a review but a feedback to the Managament. Your manager, in this location, is rude. She is truly unprofessional and condescending to it's patrons. This is such a great store, other staff is kind, welcoming and helpful, except her. What a shame that one character, an employee, can have such a bad impact on a well established company. Time for a change in management, in this location.

Yelp
I'm just going to say it - I love Williams Sonoma. It is one of the only chain stores that I truly love shopping in. Each and everyone one of the items they sell is of the highest quality. I love the food demonstrations. I always pick up a few new cooking tips. I have never successfully left this store without purchasing a few new items for my kitchen. The staff is always gracious and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell they just love cooking. They are always willing to share recipes and tips. Thanksgiving is the best time to shop here as there are always beautiful table decorations and fun treats to purchase. I really love shopping at this store.

Yelp
Went here to see if they would replace two mugs I got over a year ago because the handles popped off in the microwave. She said yes they would offer me the courtesy this one time. So glad because the mugs were very expensive and I'm sure not rich! I call that GREAT customer service

Helen L.

Yelp
I am writing a review on Williams Sonoma on line customer service. I received a tin of S'Mores candy as a Christmas gift before Christmas. They are stale, the marshmallow is like rubber. Tin dated September 2020. I emailed Williams Sonoma regarding the issue. I am now on my 4th email from them. They want to know name and Address, order number of the people who gave me gift. I do not have their address. They are the parents of my grand daughters fiancé, with whom I do not interact with socially. They were just nicely sending me a gift with my grand daughter. Told them my granddaughter delivered to me. They totally did not read my email as I also told them I would be happy to return to them with a prepaid mailer. Next email asked me for the info on the prepaid mailer that I received the candy in. Never received in a prepaid mailer. Totally frustrated with quality of customer service. This is quite an inexpensive item. A store credit would have easily taken care of this. Would be happy to give them back their defective product. Ready to throw in garbage. You would think this was a big ticket item. Cannot believe the customer service. This about a $20.00 - $25.00 item. Just asking to issue a store credit. Happy to return their candy to them. I am about to throw the candy in the garbage. Don't expect much from Williams Sonoma customer service.

Yelp
With a sputter and a gasp (and a lot of water all over my counter top) my old coffeemaker gave up the ghost the other day. For a normal person- this would not be an issue. But for a "caffeineaholic" like me, this was a disaster of the largest proportion! Trust me- you do not want to talk to me until I have had a few cups of my beloved java in the morning. What to do, what to do? And how to do it quickly? Ta-da!! Williams-Sonoma to the rescue. Lucky for me there is one across the street from where I work- so I dashed out at lunch and within minutes I was standing in front of my saviors, my godsends, my morning angels . . . . . .a full wall of coffee makers. As I explained my addiction to the helpful sales person, my hands were sweating, and my eyes darted to and fro. Which one of these gleaming beauties was going to make its way into my life? Oh, my needs are many in the morning. I want one that starts on it's own, one that grinds it's own beans, one that's not too slow, and one that will self clean . As I narrowed my choices I almost started to itch thinking of the next morning when I would come down the stairs and smell the delicious aroma wafting through my house once again. And while there are plenty of places to pick up a cheap coffee pot- none carry the wide breadth of lines like Williams-Sonoma. I made my purchase but not before the helpful sales person allowed me to paw through the All-Clad cookware display to ensure I had them all, touch all of the pretty towels, and gaze wistfully at the french roasting pan that has been on my list to get forever but just seems too extravagant given the amount of use I would give it. My addiction sated, my new addition to my kitchen sits proudly on my counter top just waiting for it's next morning mission. And according to the sales person, this model will be making my coffee into the foreseeable future. Now that's a comforting thought!

Yelp
This would be funny if it weren't so petty and ridiculous. Not only did this happen but when I shared my experience with Williams Sonoma customer service I got no response. They probably think this pretentious attitude is tolerable given their clientele but they don't realize it's really stupid business sense. I called the store to know if they had a spatula. I ordered it online and it was backordered until September. Laura answered, I told her what I wanted and she said hold on. Another woman picked up the phone and asked me the same question- I told her and said I just told Laura. She impatiently said Laura had to do something else. She said she had no idea which spatula that was and wanted the item number which I gave her. She said they had six in stock. I (politely) asked her if she could double check (it's been my experience those databases are sometimes inaccurate). She said she would have to "go back there" and check. She came back and said she has one. I asked her if she could check one other spatula- she said she would have no way of knowing which one I wanted- that she "just happened" to pick up the spatula I wanted, that she would have to "go all the way back there" and look through all the spatulas to find the one I wanted. I said I was confused because I gave her the item # and she could see a picture of it online. (presumably she could look for one like in the picture without much difficulty). She insisted "we have so many spatulas" and she would have to "look through all of them." After some unnecessary contentious back and forth she insisted it was not that easy. In the end she checked and put the two spatulas on hold. That day I went into the store and told an employee I had spatulas on hold. A woman went in the back, returned and handed me a small bag with the spatulas. Another woman behind the counter saw this and abruptly said "is that paid for?" I said no, she took the bag from me, removed the spatulas and gave them to me in a serious manner with no explanation. I was theft risk apparently. A few other female employees were standing behind the counter. As I was waiting they were chatting socially. There was a male African-American cook beside them in a black apron. The women saw me retrieve the spatulas and the employee remove them from the bag. When I walked away to the other side of the counter (not the store but the opposite side of the counter) I saw them complaining about me. I stood there and watched in disbelief for about a minute. As a group they must have found my request so laborious (?) it warranted a group gripping. They did not know I could see or hear them or care apparently. The cook with the black apron looked at them, then looked at me, and witnessed the whole thing. I went to the spatula section to look it over (about 15 feet from the counter so I'm not sure why the employee was complaining about having to go "all the way back there") The cook immediately walked directly to me and asked what I was looking for. I told him. We had a brief discussion about spatulas. He said "we appreciate you coming in today" obviously attempting to mitigate their offensive behavior. The whole experience left me so disgusted I bought nothing and walked out. I went to Sur la Table where I bought two spatulas and a $350 juicer- a juicer I went that store to purchase. Even though I'm a Williams Visa card holder I would rather shop elsewhere than support that garbage. It's great that employees enjoy each others company but as a customer I felt like I was invading a pretentious clique. They might be mindful that poorly judging a customer- based on looks presumably- is a bad idea and may result in a lost customer.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the quality of holiday food items. The "heritage pork" hard salami assortment was so hard, you might break a tooth. At the very least, you will need several yards of dentil floss to undo the damage. The nut assortment had mostly boring almonds and pumpkin seeds. Very few fancy cashews, pecans, and no macadamias. One would think that a place that presents itself as an upscale store would do a little better. It think the wooden box it came in was nicer than the contents.

Yelp
Did you know that of the three kinds of vanilla out there (Madagascar, Tahitian and Mexican) that you really should never heat Tahitian (in other words, make super-fancy ice cream with it)? That Madagascar is recommended for baking and Mexican for stovetop cooking and savory uses? This is the sort of thing that the nice ladies at Williams-Sonoma will be glad to tell you. So kudos to good service. However, it IS pricy. I have always enjoyed looking around here and got a gift card for Christmas. While it was a nice $50 gift card, I realized belatedly that amount would not go far for my original thought, a new coffeemaker (which start at around $100 here, and I do not need a $100 drip coffeemaker). So I bought a new coffeemaker on Amazon and decided to put my gift card to other uses. I wandered around for a good half an hour. Pizza stone? Fancy baking mixes? Gorgeous Le Cruset baking pans? (Sure, for $50 I could get ... a very small gratin pan. Or a butter crock. Or 2 cappuccino cups. But not something I actually need.) Eventually I settled on a new muffin tin, a bottle of blood orange-satsuma cocktail mixer (mmmm) and that aforementioned vanilla -- the fancy Madagascar variety. Good quality stuff, but let's be honest, I'm not quite classy enough for regular Oakbrook shopping ... we'll stick to special occasions.

Yelp
5 stars for Williams-Sonoma? I know, please don't hate me. The truth is that I'm turning a new page in 2010. I'm a different man now looking to experience new people, places, and cultures. OK you didn't buy that lie and I don't blame you. The truth is I have a story for you and a good one at that. For me, Williams-Sonoma is the missing shoe that fits the stereotypical SUV driving suburban soccer mom. I will not set foot in this store on a Saturday at noon just to avoid these people. However, the customer service at this location is unparalleled and therefore deserves 5 happily provided stars. A month ago, Thomas Keller visited this location for a book signing. It was a cold night in December and the lovely staff brought hot coffee to those waiting in the line outside. They also prepared 2 recipes from his new book and hustled to make sure everyone received a sample. The hot cauliflower soup with croutons was wonderful on a cold night. The fig jam on flat-bread was also a nice touch and I cannot wait to make both of these again. I would like to personally thank each and every staff member for making everyones night the best it could possibly be. Oh, and meeting Thomas Keller, shaking his hand, and getting his autograph was pretty sweet. FYI - no plans for a restaurant in Chicago. BLAST! Come here and get your kitchen items, your cookbooks and a variety of trinkets your kitchen may or may not need. But don't hesitate to lean on the staff for a question. I'm sure they would be willing to help you out.

Yelp
Williams Sonoma is a higher end kitchen store. They have a lot of cool tools for the beginner to the pros. When shopping Williams Sonoma you should always keep an eye out for sales. Do some comparison shopping on items you are thinking about buying. Being a former kitchen professional many years ago I am very selective of my knives. I prefer Global knives and Williams Sonoma carries them. I saw that they had a 60% off sales on most global knives and I was in need of another pairing knife as well as a good flexible boning knife. The staff member that helped me was super friendly. After checking out the knives and giving them my seal of approval I ended buying both as well as a pack of cedar planks and new global bread slicing knife. Overall friendly, patient staff. They are very knowledgable and if they don't know they will find out for you. They understand that people sometimes are just looking but want to know about the products. I would recommend this store and location.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Overpriced items. I stopped in while Christmas shopping this year. I was hoping to pick up a few reasonably priced kitchen accessories/treats/etc. I was quickly disappointed. While the quality seems nice, everything is really expensive. I picked up some spices that were almost $30. Whaaaat?!?! Crazy. Maybe there were some deals to be had. I just didn't find them.

Yelp
I dropped in to this location on a whim the day after Valentine's Day as me and my fiancé visited Oak Brook mall. We really only intended on getting some details about the Nespresso machines, but due to the attention they gave us we signed up for their wedding registry and shopped for our upcoming ceremony. JoAnne helped us the most. She was very sweet and attentive. She didn't exactly know all the answers to our many questions but she was honest in saying what she did or did not have details on. She was quick to use her earpiece and bring another more informed associate in on the floor to offer us additional assistance. We eventually got all of our questions answered and now feel comfortable with our choice of espresso maker. I highly recommend this location as all of the associates were helpful, friendly and customer focused. The store was busy but we felt as if we were being given first class service and attention.

Yelp
I've been coming to this store since they opened it in the 90s. This is a heaven of sorts for kitchen related paraphanelia. We've bought a grand total of probably 5 items here, but you cannot beat the excitment of perusing through the seasonal items, the wonderful cookbook collection, or even tasting some of those great samplers they cook up out of nowhere. Any visit to Oakbrook Center would not be complete, at least for us, if I don't stop in. Though I must admit that they are mostly continental based and not much into diverse cooking methods such as Japanese cuisine... though the usual standby chinese wok is always available here and there.

T E.

Yelp
The staff here can be extremely rude and make your business feel unnecessary. We recently received a Wusthof knife set as a gift, it was purchased at this location. When we opened it up the knives were covered in scratches. We brought it back to the store the next day with all of the original packaging and the original sales receipt. The store associate we spoke to said she had to get the manager to help process the exchange. The manager then went on and on about how they would never sell a scratched knife set and how it was ridiculous that we were bringing them back. I still can't figure out why anyone would purposely scratch up a knife set two days after they were purchased, to then exchange them for a new set? Both the store associate and manager had attitude problems and spoke down to us as though we were trying to scheme the system. This is not the first time the staff in this location treated us poorly, but it will definitely be the last... as we will never be returning.

Yelp
I needed to pick up a gift on my way to dinner and stopped at this mall on the way. Williams Sonoma was ideal. They are not cheap but have tons of options for a nice gift for the home. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I stopped by yesterday to buy a few things for some early Christmas shopping. I decided to return an item today but forgot the receipt at home. I thought since it was only a day ago and the store tags were still on the item.... Alas, I thought wrong. Fail return policy!! I'll pass up this store next time.

Yelp
I like this Williams-Sonoma location - good customer service, great classes on useful skills like knives (I still scare my husband when I am cutting up an apple - towards me nonetheless!) Love the seasonal mixes and innovative products that no one NEEDS, but all WANT. I am anxious for it to move back to its normal location because the temporary spot on the second floor WAY over on the other end is a pain to get to.

Yelp
I cannot give this Williams-Sonoma location enough praise. The staff is friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. The store itself is beautiful, always smells terrific (no small feat for a mall), and is fully stocked. I recently had a fantastic experience here that warrants mention. Browsing on Saturday, I was drawn to the collection of Thomas Keller (of The French Laundry) cookbooks. Two different sales associates approached us to let us know that Chef Keller would be at the store signing copies of his cookbooks on December 1st. Unsure that we would be able to make it in time for the signing, the staff members said that we could leave the books and Chef Keller would sign them. So, we left three cookbooks (with post-its attached with names) at the store and I picked the books up today. The books are signed correctly (we bought two copies of one book and one of another) and will make beautiful Christmas gifts. The staff at Williams-Sonoma could not have been friendlier or more helpful about this. Thanks to everyone at the Oak Brook store for getting my Christmas shopping done for me! Yes, Williams-Sonoma can be quite pricey, but I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for." I can't wait to go back!

Joseph G.

Yelp
Don't expect prompt shipping. I ordered on December 18 and the expected delivery is December 27. And it is an item in stock. I will return it when I get it too late. Should have stuck with Amazon.

Yelp
Not a bad store had some horrible customer service as well as great customer service. My mom and I always end up in this store. She loves the dish towels and dish soap. The Hot Chocolate is out of this world. This is the main thing we wander in for in winter months, but get it before it sells out. The regular always goes faster than the peppermint but the peppermint is awesome too. They had a sloppy joe mix that was pretty darn good too. It's always fun to look at all the kitchen gadgets that are so expensive and pretty but not exactly "needed"

Yelp
great staff. Very knowledgeable about all there products. Walked out very pleased with all my choices. Will be back!

Yelp
I came to the store on a weekday to invest in a high quality chefs knife and was not disappointed. Embarrassed to admit I don't recall the name of the woman associate who helped and guided me. What a great experience. Like any reputable source, you can test knives before you buy. I had done some research on in advance and simply wanted to find a place with variety of quality product where I could test feel and use of the knife. No pressure to buy high price. Several nice options but I was confident in my final. Her help exceeded my expectations. Walked out with 2 knives. After a few days of use, I'm very pleased with my choice. Hope I can add to my collection some day. I know where I'll be buying them. Quality product is key, but customer service makes a huge difference!

Earl S.

Yelp
I wish the commissioned sales girls who write up their orders would listen to the customers spending hundreds of dollars on the copper bottom pans we buy and honor the request on where to ship. Literally every time this specific store will ONLY ship to the same as billing address. Don't ask them to ship to your job, you can give them the "ship to address" but they don't like if they're different. they'll ignore you, this way whatever you buy will sit on your front porch for days...good thing there are perishables. at least this is consistent. the WS credit card rewards are only sent US mail. The commissioned sales girls will literally thank you for bringing you own shopping bag being paperless and helping the environment, but you'll get an email telling you you'll get a $25 reward but it only comes US mail. Conundrum ?

Yelp
I dropped in here on a weekday shortly after opening to pick up a gift for Mother's Day. The store is large, has a lot of inventory, and the staff was helpful without being too overbearing. There's some overpriced junk here, but also a lot of good stuff. I had no trouble finding a present for my mom. Also, props to the cashier for finding an appropriate-size box for the gift!

Yelp
I'll just highlight here as I also reviewed the Naperville location: - This place is NOT cheap but you do get what you pay for. - Food items are also pretty specific to your needs as well ( olive oils, baking mixes, as well as starters for guacamole, &-40 garlic chicken among many items) . -The integration of all things food (food itself, cookbooks, knife sets, etc) is very well done. - The people. They know their stuff well and don't "hard sell" (if they do, it's the most subtle ways I've even seen it done). They seem to enjoy being there and genuinely want to help you. Never had a bad experience. - Cooking demonstrations (or better yet the samples) could really get you in trouble. They made a crumble cake and gave out samples on one visit and I ate one- bad idea. I craved it the rest of the day. I never sat in on an entire cooking class but from what I saw, it was very well done. - VERY well spaced as they opened this location a few years ago. - It WILL be crowded on Saturdays so deal with it if you go then. Don't say you haven't been warned. - Did I forget the free recipe cards???

Yelp
I can NOT say enough good things about Williams-Sonoma - the Oakbrook location, and it's terrific friendly staff!!! Yesterday, we did the "store is yours" event to create our wedding registry. The "store is yours" event is when you call and make an appointment. Then the store schedules you on a Sunday of your choice to come in about an hour before it opens where you can enjoy personalized attention of the staff (and coffee and muffins!) in order to create your registry. We were there with only one other engaged couple yesterday. There were 2 Williams-SOnoma staff on hand. One staff member was working with us and the other one was working with the couple. However, both staff members were readily available and willing to answer any questions we had at any point! The staff was SO incredibly helpful, giving us great advice about the pros and cons of their merchandise. They answered each and every question we had but yet let us have our time to shop around on our own, making sure they didn't hover over us as we were making our decisions. We stayed there 3.75 hours!!! No Joke - we definitely took our time with registering. Obviously the store had opened while we were in the middle of the registering. However, that didn't stop those 2 original staff members from spending as much time as we needed with answering our questions, all the while dealing with the requests of the regular shoppers. Specifically, at one point, one of the original ladies spent about 30 minutes with my fiance explaining the pros and cons of various knives, and letting him experiment with the same. Also, even the other employees, who had not been there with us originally, were so very helpful in answering our questions and guiding us too during those 3.75 hours. Anyway, I can not say enough good words about the superior service, excellent quality of the merchandise, and fabulous overall experience of registering with Williams-Sonoma!!!!

Yelp
Nice selection of kitchen tools, albeit pricey - I'm still eyeing that olive pitter. You can find some good deals from time to time in their clearance/sale sections. Recently was tempted by a 3-piece French-made apple-corer, melon-baller and melon slicer for less than $9 (considering each piece now costs more than $10 individually); Unfortunately, I don't "core" many apples nor "ball" very many melons - probable more useful for those who entertain/cater to larger groups. It's always fun to walk through and gaze longingly at a collection of copper cookware or a sub-$1000 espresso/coffee maker.

Yelp
I used to love this place around the holidays, because it's pretty stuff, and they free gift wrap in a very classy way. Yesterday, I went in, piled some stuff by their check out desk, they let another person walk out with it, no apology, when I said--you said I can save my purchase by the counter top--no offer to help me look for those things again, and no offer to gift wrap, even though I stated I had three gifts. Let's face it: I can buy nice candles, and hand soap for half the cost at Target, so if there's no free gift wrap, why bother going here around the holidays? The woman checking me out just seemed overworked and not happy to bother even with the gift receipts. I mean honestly, even Sephora, offered to gift wrap my bottle of cologne for my husband. How is it possible that Sephora gift wraps, and not William Sonoma, or was I supposed to ask, even though I stated I had three gifts. Tacky. What are they doing to their employees to make them so unresponsive? This used to be a friendly store, where they seemed to want to work there. My last time there for the holidays.

Yelp
I like this W-S. This store is larger than any others in the Chicago-land area. The selection is vast and the Summer and Winter sales are amazing. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and prompt. I have to giggle about the other reviews posting about the prices at W-S. C'mon people its W-S. They sell brands like Mauviel, Shun, Baccarat, and the list goes on. Most of the items are quality products and well worth it. My husband and I go to a few of them on a weekly basis. I have a kitchen full of W-S products, from herbs and spices, cooking products, baking goods and knives. Stop in, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
The clerk put a wrong on online order and didn't even confirm and credit card signiture from me. I wanted to buy $178 dutch oven but he ordered $302 one. I want ti cancel the order and he said he did. But it wasn't and the company's customer service center did't cancel or respond to my emails. I think I have to visit the store 3rd time to return the product. I'm wondering if the returning process could be done at one visit! Bad customer service and unorganised and mishandled works in the company!

Yelp
I still love this place. A lot of the old staff I talked to while shopping isn't there anymore but the new people seem good as well. Still nice, high quality merchandise. Even though my diet has changed a lot, there's still a lot there I can justify buying. Pretty much the only reason I go to Oak Brook

Yelp
Unfortunately I was sick in bed for Black Friday shopping so I tried to order some much needed kitchen supplies online. I entered the Black Friday code and because my email said that there was free shipping, I expected that additional discount to be added as well. I'm not talking about anything heavy in the order. We have now exchanged 5 emails saying that they need my phone number and zip code which I have given in three of the emails. Customer service keeps reassuring me that this will be taken care of professionally but I am very disappointed that four days later no order has been placed. Please be careful ordering online so you don't end up in the situation I am in at this point. They are losing a loyal customer. christy d
