Went to the store last weekend looking for a tablecloth and found one I thought might work. The gentleman was very nice, however he NEVER mentioned it would be a final sale. If he had mentioned this, I wouldn't have purchased. It was clear I had a physical disability as I was using a cane and not one associate offered to help me find my way, or open the very heavy door leaving, and there were more workers than customers.
When my husband went back to return the item, the manager said it was a "final sale" and there was "nothing" she could do. Not even a store credit. Really? Final sales should be clearly marked and clearly STATED at the register.
So many companies handle customer service exceedingly better. A little empathy goes a long way.
This used to be a favorite shop- no longer. A little customer service could have made a tremendous difference.
Hope they feel the $45 was worth losing a customer for life. So many other choices out there! Think twice before spending your money here. Macy's, Crate and Barrel, Sur La Table, Pottery Barn are all far better options.
After looking into the company and other reviews at Consumer Affairs and Glassdoor it isn't all that shocking that my experience was less than stellar. Customer service isn't Williams and Sonoma's strength.
