I went to Williams Sonoma store at Park and Preston to return two items today about 1 or 2 pm. First item was unused, still had price tag attached, original packaging, and hard copy receipt. They were not very nice; but, did give me credit eventually.
Second item was a food thermometer, Williams Sonoma brand. It was in original packaging; but, did not work. I had already returned the first one I purchased because it did not work, and instead of giving me credit they gave me another one, which surprise, also did not work. Today they would not give me credit on food thermometer in original packaging. The manager actually, said, "We have only had the most expensive ones returned because they don't work. " I took the food thermometer with me when I left because my guess is they would tape it up and sell it again.
I have spent a lot of money at that store in the last two years. I recognize a couple of the sales staff. Very, very unpleasant experience. Do they know how easy it is to return to Amazon or Nordstroms?
I genuinely hope Amazon puts them out of business. You can actually find a lot of their merchandise on line for less.
To keep selling an item when customers have returned them and said they don't work, is unconscionable. Then to refuse to even give me a store credit. Holy moly, she wasn't even willing to give me another one that did not work because she did not want to miss the opportunity to screw somebody else!
Never shop there again!
