If you love to cook, the Williams Sonoma in Southlake is a must-visit. The assortment is incredible, and the displays make it a true shopping experience. You can learn just by observing—whether it’s how to set a table or make the perfect margarita. They have everything you’re looking for, and the staff is always ready to help. This location truly stands out as one of the best.

Best Williams Sonoma I have been to! My husband bought me a HUGE cutting board before my new house is done building. And I totally forgot about it until lately after we moved in, I realized it’s too heavy for me to handle. It’s been more than a month that since my husband bought it for me, but the store is still willing to do exchanges and best part is, whenever I got there, everybody who works there, manager, sales associates, they are ALL so helpful and sweet! Super knowledgeable too! I ended up changed to something more practical and super nice. Thank you so much again and will definitely come back to shop!

I’ve been a loyal Williams-Sonoma customer for years, but this experience was completely unacceptable. After placing an online order for a high-ticket item, I received an unexpected call from a store employee named Jim, who told me to cancel the order and repurchase it in-store so he could receive commission. He proceeded to cancel my order without my permission and called me multiple times pressuring me to come in physically just so he could make money himself. After researching, I found similar complaints about this same employee, which speaks to a larger issue. Thankfully, corporate called me to apologize for his behavior, but the damage is done. This was unethical, manipulative, and completely unprofessional. I won’t be shopping at Williams-Sonoma again.

Absolutely love their baking supply line! They have such cute bundt cake pans and other baking pans, cookie cutters, pie molds, different kinds of mixes, etc. Not to mention their kitchenware, utensils, cookware ... everything for your kitchen in great quality and look! 🤩

Google
Thank you Jim for your assistance! Went to the Southlake store to pick up an online order, worst shopping experience ever at WS. Two female Sales associates passing by, not acknowledging my presence as with other customers extending greeting, offer (me) to assist, reaching in front of where I was standing, no excuse me. I will NEVER frequent this location again.

Our Company had a cooking class as a team building event. It was definitely a very good experience and gave opportunities for us to work together and learn from each other.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Possibly the very worst customer service and treatment I have ever experienced. Especially at a store that caters to the clientele that it does. Purchased an espresso machine 90 days ago on Mother’s Day. It stopped working, took it back to exchange or get fixed. At first a lovely English lady tried to help me but had to bring in a manager who was so incredibly dismissive and rude for no reason whatsoever. “You need to go to Breville, we don’t do that here” I politely explained that I purchased it from here and any help would be much appreciated to which she turned around and walked away without a solitary word. I guess my type aren’t worthy of basic human dignity in Williams and Sonoma. Do not shop here, they do not warranty products only pass the buck back to the manufacturer and when you ask for help you are thrown to the curb like a piece of trash because you aren’t buying another $1000 machine that day. Absolutely appalled by this treatment and I hope that no one else has to experience such a rude and hostile environment like I did.

Google
Horrible customer service at the Southlake store. I walked in to see 3 employees behind the counter while 1 customer was checking out and 3 employees in front of the counter chatting. No one greeted me or asked if I needed help. 6 employees and 2 customers in the store and no one can say hello or offer to help? I was looking for a gift for a friend who recently renovated her house and would have loved some help. Yes, I know I can ask for help but seriously, 6 employees and not one offered to help.

Yelp
Excellent shopping experience! You walk in and are asked if you need help and you say, I see what I want and you walk in that direction. This sales person follows me and asks if he can help and this time yes, I was looking for large stock pot. He showed me where it was and boom exactly what I was looking for and in stock. What I loved an about this experience was that the salesperson stayed with me quietly and could tell I was look for something specific. Boom! Great service! This experience was before noon so maybe there were not a lot of customers but it saved me looking for the sales person when indeed I did have a question. Keep up the great service William-Sonoma!

Yelp
I purchased an espresso machine from Williams Sonoma by placing an order online for pickup at the store. I was eager to get it as a post Christmas gift to myself on New Year's Eve. The store called me shortly after I placed the order, stating that they reserved the machine but the charge was delayed since I placed it online. They also said that the store wouldn't get the sales credit so I could come in and purchase it to speed up the process and it would help the store out. I was immediately greeted when entering the crowded store and I was able to check out quickly. The lovely lady that sold me the machine even walked it out to my care in the parking lot. I'm very pleased with my purchase and my experience at this store. For the first time in a really long time, I preferred buying something in person versus buying it on Amazon.

Yelp
Staff was wonderful helping me find a small but specific item I needed. Janet and another lovely staff member searched the store and found the item in back for me. True customer service!

Yelp
Courtney was sooo helpful with the selection of the items I was shopping for ... I was in search of a knife to cut vegetables and a pan that would help elevate my cooking experience ... I could not have made my selection without her help.

Yelp
I had an excellent experience at this Williams Sonoma store today! Being new to Southlake, we were very excited to have this store walking distance from our new home! I called ahead to see if they had a few Le Creuset dutch ovens in different sizes and they were very helpful and even put one on hold til I got to the store. When I arrived with my dog in tow, we were greeted right away! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help. I bought a few items and an associate even helped me carry my bags to my car. They have a large selections of items, so don't let the outside fool you, it's quite large inside. I found it very refreshing to visit an establishment, like Williams Sonoma, and see happy staff with positive attitudes! Everyone was genuinely enjoying their jobs....it put me in such a good mood! Zero complaintients! Looking forward to returning soon!

Yelp
My wife loves looking in these stores. When ever traveling we have to walk through when we come upon one. They always have a great selection of items.

Yelp
I went to Williams Sonoma store at Park and Preston to return two items today about 1 or 2 pm. First item was unused, still had price tag attached, original packaging, and hard copy receipt. They were not very nice; but, did give me credit eventually. Second item was a food thermometer, Williams Sonoma brand. It was in original packaging; but, did not work. I had already returned the first one I purchased because it did not work, and instead of giving me credit they gave me another one, which surprise, also did not work. Today they would not give me credit on food thermometer in original packaging. The manager actually, said, "We have only had the most expensive ones returned because they don't work. " I took the food thermometer with me when I left because my guess is they would tape it up and sell it again. I have spent a lot of money at that store in the last two years. I recognize a couple of the sales staff. Very, very unpleasant experience. Do they know how easy it is to return to Amazon or Nordstroms? I genuinely hope Amazon puts them out of business. You can actually find a lot of their merchandise on line for less. To keep selling an item when customers have returned them and said they don't work, is unconscionable. Then to refuse to even give me a store credit. Holy moly, she wasn't even willing to give me another one that did not work because she did not want to miss the opportunity to screw somebody else! Never shop there again!

Yelp
OMG! This William Sonoma location has the highest star rating of ANY WS in the DFW area!!! Let me just say it was worth the day trip to shop at the WS in Southlake!!!!!!! The associate Anna was so kind & helpful! I came to pickup some Plymouth Bird dinner plates and found so many other treasures! One of them being my Huge ceramic Pheasant, which Anna wrapped with such care! I was treated with respect and a friendly attitude. Maybe Anna should train the staff at the North Park location?!?? My only regret is that the WS@Southlake is Not my local location. Sadly if I want to shop at WS, I with have to shop at North Park, which have the rudest employees!

Yelp
The shopper's experience is everything now a days. It's what separates an online convenience and in store pleasures. HUMAN INTERACTION. Angela is a GEM!!! Often you go into stores and you're asked "can I help you?" Or "if you need anything, my name is __________." Well, Angela started off with a conversation and BAM!!!! There kicks off a shopping experience. From the mug chats ( she found our initials) to the seasonal drinks ( going in our mugs), she was a hoot. She was very knowledgeable about my smoker machine ( for my old fashions) and overall just available!!! Angela, thank you for an amazing shopping experience!!! See you soon my Midwest friend!!!

Yelp
Absolutely terrifyingly and completely awful customer service. Hands down the most despicable experience I've ever had at a retail store, and I've shopped in the best. I arrived one hour after opening and I was one of 2 people in the store with 6 employees working. All ran to the back except the two at the counter. The poorly bleached blond beyond-her-years Southlake McMansion employee looked me up and down like she was the Cheerleader Captain and I just stepped on her homecoming mum (or just hid her oxycontin). I had to go to the back storage area door and break up the gossip fest employee party to receive my online order. My wife visited the Fort Worth/TCU store the day before and received the exact same treatment. When I returned home I sent their online customer service a nice letter and asked for someone to call me. Well, the district manager phoned the next day and between interrupting her conversation with me by talking to her employees while telling me they strive for 100% customer attentiveness. I suddenly realized that this whole company is run by the previously mentioned sort of person, it's a top down thing obviously. My mother worked at the WS TCU store for years after retiring from teaching 2nd grade for 30+ years. Funny thing is she won all the district sales awards simply by being nice and asking customers what she could do for them, ha ha! Imagine that - being kind and attentive! So, suffice it to say, I nor anyone in my family will stepping foot in the stores nor ordering from them online. Sur La Table in Southlake is directly across the street and will be receiving all our business from now on. I actually went to this store before the above experience and was greeted by two incredibly nice gentlemen as soon as I walked in the door and was pointed to exactly what I needed at a lower price than WS, ha! Sur La Table in Southlake 1151 E Southlake Blvd Suite 340, Southlake, TX 76092 (817) 416-6257

Yelp
My husband had a terrible experience with the sales staff. The problem is there is no customer service. They will ignore customers, play on their phone or talk to each other while customers are standing in line to check out or overlook the customer waiting to checkout and help someone just walking up to the counter. While finally having to ask to check out they are surprised you want to pay for merchandise.

Yelp
Exchange from hell. Present sent to us online but we already had one. Decided to exchange but apparently when something is purchased online and you return at a store, online sends you a refund as a gift card. This policy is terrible. But it is what it is. Store says they will hold a new item that was priced at same value as return but can pay for it with gift card. Really wish we had purchased it and then come back to switch out payment and get refund. Store ended up erroneously selling item. Store now seeing if they can get item; hopeful to get it. When store saw they erroneously sold item, they were very apologetic last weekend. All these things are unfortunate. BUT tonight the store obviously had their ANGRY crew in the store. This night we received awful customer service. Snarky tones, accusatory comments, and no resolution other than a we are waiting until Monday. 3 trips to this store. I can't wait to chronicle what happens after this. At this point, I would just rather send the gift card back to my family and let them get their money back. I will never shop at any Williams and Sonoma after this experience. Avoid the Southlake store.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My husband bought me an Anova Pro sous vide for Mothers Day. I used once and unfortunately the second time I used it after turning it on it tripped a breaker. I reset everything and it would no longer turn on. I brought it to the store and did not have a receipt but told me if I had my husbands actual card they could bring up the receipt. I returned today with the cc and informed oh I got miss information they can't do anything after 30 days and to contact Anova directly (though even last week it was 37 days) so asked why I had to drive 30 min round trip to get bad information again. I was then told they could not print me another receipt even though they were looking at it. 1 girl finally went beyond and could figure out how to print a receipt so I can actually file a claim with my warranty. I will NEVER purchase from William-Sonoma again and especially not this Southlake store.

Yelp
November 2023 Update: My wife and I still do not have the bed we ordered on July 2. We have been told many more lies by customer service regarding where our bed is in the process of production, shipping, and order fulfillment. Higher level call center management has told us they are not permitted to give us a specific time frame for expected delivery and the delivery estimates we are shown on our order update website are "just estimates, nothing is guaranteed". My senior citizen mother is visiting us for Thanksgiving and I am incurring the cost of a 6 night hotel stay because the bed I ordered in July that was supposed to be delivered in September is no closer to deliver today than it was a month ago. I have suggested to Williams Sonoma to deliver any bed frame they have in stock as a temporary solution and they can swap it out when the actual item we ordered is ready. Williams Sonoma response to my suggestion was "we don't do that". I've worked in business operations and customer service for much of my life and problems happen. However, problem resolution is often a key metric that businesses focus on with customer feedback and internal tracking. There is ZERO problem resolution effort at Williams Sonoma.

Yelp
I have been visiting this store since the day it opened. Based on my past experience, I anticipate finding friendly, helpful and kind associates at this retail establishment. Isn't that the WS way of treating its customers? Well, not today! I am not sure what has gone down at this location, but I suggest that WS conduct a "secret shopper" experience to reveal the most unhelpful and rude people working there. I am sure they would find it disgusting and not a reflection of who they want to be as a company. They were not helpful at all and downright rude to say the least. ugh. I will not be back! Very disappointing!

Willie T.

Yelp
Purchased a bed for the granddaughter waited a month they show up with a broke bed wait another month with broke bed in the room they show up with another broke bed starting to think it's a cruel joke call them this time it's only gonna take 8 days at this point they are just stringing you and the child along do not use this company just trust me they suck.No service or no one who cares.

Yelp
Very disappointed in Williams Sonoma.. placed an order and received a confirmation to pick up at SL location. Then the order was canceled by WS. When I called customer service they said not sure why because store still had inventory of 5. Placed order again.. once again canceled!? (I had a birthday reward I was applying to total order as well) tried ONCE again to place the order and now the certificate is expired ?! Contacted customer service via email 2 times with NO response... not sure what is going on with WS but this is not the service I'm used to with this company..posting this review because nothing else has seemed to work in getting anyone to help me.. disappointed to say the least

Yelp
First off, this isn't a store that I usually go into. Not to say I don't like it. It's actually a great place. I just can't afford to spend money in here. I went in because it was too hot outside and I just wanted a break from the heat. Apparently I'm also the only person to have ever taken any pictures at this location. Hope they are helpful. I will admit you can get some amazing ideas for cooking and what to purchase by wandering here. Yes, the food/spices items are a little up there in price, but I did see a couple spice rubs that I had not seen before. So I will have to look for those. Also their knives are really sweeeeeeeeet. Just not over $200 worth sweet. I can stick with my Pampered Chef 7" Santoku knife and be just as happy. I did like the copper pans and I even saw a dutch oven that I own from Le Crueset, I really hope my friend didn't pay that much for it when he got it for my ill fated wedding a few years back. As I said, it's not a place I normally go into, but the staff was very friendly and difinately eager to help me out, if I was in the mood to shop.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Pathetic service. Was told by manager "because corporate tells us to". Absurd and outrageous. I have a merch crédit I want to put towards a gift card AND add even more to the gift card. They say not possible. I said why? The money will still be spent at William Sonoma. I will never come here again.

Greg H.

Yelp
We ordered a drink machine at the end of September for $359. We were not aware that this was on back order at the time. The first shipment date was October 6th then the 21st then November 6th then the 12. I called to cancel the order a week ago, was assured it was handled. Received an updated shipment date of November 24th, I called to see what had happened to the cancellation request and was informed that there was no record of my call and that my request could not be cancelled because it is in shipping status. I understand some items can be on back order. But it would be helpful if we knew that upfront. And Williams Sonoma should not have accepted payment when they don't have the product to ship.

Kaity M.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying I love Williams-Sonoma. I wish I had an indispensable amount of money so I could buy all their products. Seriously you get what you pay for here. Quality stuff. I came in looking for a mini donut pan. They had donut mix but I couldn't find a pan. So I asked. Apparently they were stashed in the back. The lady brought them right out and we were on our way. It's not even mid August yet and they already have pumpkin flavored everything. Ahhhh! The customer service here was great and the store was clean. The parking situation here stinks a bit so you may have to walk a bit to get to the store.

Yelp
Love this store ! Always greeted as I walk in . Store is very clean . Staff is very knowledgeable. The location can be difficult to park it . The store is always well stocked with all the latest gadgets . Bought My Nespresso machine here . Great price ! I shop here often and have always had a good experience.

Yelp
Very nice store. Great staff. Very friendly. This store is not browser friendly because the staff is so eager to help you that you can't just wander around. They keep interrupting , either with suggestions or information . Sometimes I just go into the store to wander around aimlessly and discover new things. I don't necessarily know what I want or even if I want anything. I Had not taken five steps into the store when somebody approached me asking me what I was specifically looking for and seemed surprised when I said I was just wandering aimlessly. I love the store and this brand and often times I discover and learn new things by just looking around. The store does not get five stars purely because they have over eager sales people. It's a good thing to provide great service but sometimes it's that taking it a little bit too far that can spoil it. This is not a criticism of the people who work there - they are wonderful they just need to tone it back and give people space sometimes
google avatar

Geoffrey G.

Yelp
You close at 7:00PM? On a Friday? Seriously? Lots of customers cant even get done with after-work responsibilties in time to get there by 7:00. You really need to rethink your operating hours. Either that or you don't treally need the customers.
google avatar

Yelp
I will never purchase from this location ever again. Associate Neilia approaches my husband and I while we were looking at two crystal high ball glasses to add to our set. She snidely remarked that "I guess you can purchase the display..." So I asked her to see about the stock. She obviously thought we were too young to purchase something of that quality. She went to check stock only to come back and say the displays were the only ones we could take. Once we took the two glasses we get in line to check out. After waiting about 5 minutes while next in line, the cashier proceeds to tell us that the line forms across the room. That would have been nice to know from the start. Once we get to the "appropriate" line and begin waiting another cashier says "may I help someone?" And a lady from nowhere appears, jumps the line to check out. We decide to walk out because of all this. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Yelp
What can I say, it's Williams-Sonoma for Pete's sake :) I love food and I love to cook so how could I not be drawn to this holy land for American cooks in need of high end products. Yes it may be overpriced, but because of the quality you are getting in the long run splurge and get ready to enjoy. It is well worth it. The staff is as high quality as the products they sell.

McKenzie G.

Yelp
Despite the bad reviews I've read, I had a wonderful experience at this store. Everyone was happy and helpful.

Brit F.

Yelp
After reading the other reviews, we were a little hesitant to stop in. However, we couldn't have been more pleased with the customer service. James, our sales associate, came to us, asked how he could help, and was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding the products we were deciding between. He went above and beyond for us- thanks, James! We look forward to using our new Le Creuset Dutch oven!

Yelp
Williams-Sonoma is great to browse for cooking supplies and coffee equipment. They have a decent selection of pour over coffee supplies, including Hario and Chemex brand filters. Their prices are higher than online retailers but they make up for it with convenience and quality of service. The employees here are eager to help and are generally knowledgeable about their assigned areas. They also carry beautiful drinking ware, though the selection could be a little wider. Their crystal lowball glasses have just the right heft and are pretty inexpensive. There is always something interesting to find, although their food selections are a little uninspired. It's like they were trying to compete with Dean and Deluca but gave up a quarter of the way. Unless you want overpriced spices, stale coffee, or boxed baking mixes, skip over the food section and enjoy the rest of the store.

Yelp
Love this store.. Was greeted as soon as I walked in.. And got my question answered right away. The store was clean and staff is always helpful, and has a great knowledge of products and specials.. And even though they did not have what I was looking for they still offered me help..

Yelp
I will never again return to Williams Sonoma due to the customer service (or lack thereof) I have received at this location. When I did my wedding registry there 4 years ago the employees were super kind and eager to help out in anyway. Every occasion I have returned since then has been nothing but repeated poor experiences. They've misguided me about products- specifically cookware, misinformed me on return policies regarding other purchases and this past week offended me outright after waiting on someone for 20 minutes. I will never return to this store and never give WS or their affiliate companies another dime of my money. They can keep their brand(s), there are far better products and retailers out there to shop from.

Yelp
Good lord do I love WS. Their food products are amazing and I go all the time to try something new. I've had pots and pans from them for a long time and they still look and perform like new.

Yelp
I have been a Williams Sonoma customer from coast to coast for 30 years. I have spent a lot of money there over the years purchasing items for my home and numerous gifts. I'm usually pleased with the exception of the Southlake store. In the six years I've shopped there I've experienced poor service and arrogant attitudes. I frequently go to the trouble to go to the Ft. Worth store to avoid being ignored and the snooty attitude of the employees at the Southlake store.

Mary V.

Yelp
Went to this southlake location because I live in southlake. I ordered a 450$ Dutch oven. I did it through curbside pickup to do my part with safety. Called when I arrived and said I was in the white car out front. I was told to come into the store and get it. Ok. I did not have a mask because I didn't think I would have to come in. I stepped two steps in and informed them I didn't have a mask. Was told you'll have to wait outside. I again repeated I was in the white car. Was told they weren't going to bring it out but that I should wait there. Fine. Then the same woman comes out and asks what the name is again. I give her my first and last name and she rudely tells me that it is only under my first name and that's why they couldn't find it. How am I supposed to know that. She was rude from beginning to end and acted like I was a real pain. I tried to do my part by using curbside only to be treated terrible. A man came out with it and was very nice and took it to my car. I don't know who that woman was but she was truly terrible.
google avatar

Karen J.

Yelp
From the moment I walked in I felt As though M.L. Was judging me. She was not helpful or happy. I spent $150.00 and she wrapped the gifts without symmetry and cut the ribbon on top with a jagged edge that I had to redo. Other 2 employees seemed nice. IF I GO THERE AGAIN I WILL AVOID HER. Hope it was just a bad day for her and not a pattern.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Such a disappointment all the way around here... I placed an order online to do a store pick up at the Southlake location which is closest to me (30 min./20 mi. away). I went to the back of the store to pick up my items as directed, and the lady set the alarm off when she opened the door. I stood there while she went back in to shut it off. After getting my order I checked my bag quickly to make sure both items were in there and left because I was sweating at this point. I didn't realize until I went to wrap one of the gifts that they had given me the wrong item. I called the store explaining the issue and she pulled the correct item off the shelf and put my name on it after I explained we wouldn't be able to return until the weekend. Well, the store closes at 6:00pm. After driving around to find a parking spot, we didn't make it to the door until 6:04pm. The lights were still on, but the guy wouldn't come to the door. We held up the bag to show him we weren't coming to shop, just pick up the correct item. He gave us the "cut across the neck" gesture, shut the lights off and proceeded to sweep. He also motioned to the lady that was working in the store to get back and pointed to us at the door. I then tried to call the store so I could explain the situation and no one would answer the phone. At this point I called customer service from the parking lot. The guy answered the phone saying, "hello." I wasn't even sure I had the correct number since he never mentioned the company name. His solution was for me to print a UPS label, find a box and packaging material since this is fragile, box it up and take it to the nearest UPS location, really?? I open up my email today and sure enough it is a return for the item I STILL DON'T have! I might expect this poor customer service from a discount store, but not Williams Sonoma! I told my mother today that she won't be getting this gift. She let me know she had placed an order for a gift for my son in June, and still has not received it. Now, she is going to cancel her order and place it with a different company.

Yelp
I'm giving the Southlake location a 3 today. I was tempted to give it a 2 but I'm a fan of WS so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I had an unpleasant experience there last night and I wanted to share it. I bought online a cupcake batter scooper and it was shipped to me. It is a cheap piece of plastic that is a step away from the landfill. I tried to return it last night to the Southlake location and was denied as it was a final sale. It's a cheap piece of crap that they should not be selling to start with but to deny the return is ridiculous. I literally had a stack of stuff ready for purchase and what I spend there could reduce the national debt. The girl totally could not figure out how to give me the credit for a 20% off coupon I had. I am mad at myself for completing the purchase. I'm actually going to return it and tell them why. It was a foolish and rude position to take. I'm notifying corporate as well.

Yelp
Customer service definitely isn't top priority for the staff at this location. We registered at Williams Sonoma for our wedding and had a few things to return before closing and were told "we just closed" -- clearly other customers still checking out and chatting with associates. Parking isn't easy at the town square so we were pretty angry having made the trek in and being sent back out the door to walk all the way back to our car with arms full of le crueuset. One bad associate interaction made me wish we'd never registered here. I've worked retail--lock the door if you're closed.
