Willie D’s was amazing! From the first step in we felt super welcome. Southern hospitality at its finest! My wife started with a glass of wine and I got a mock tail they whipped up for me! For our appetizer we went with the crab stuffed grilled oysters and the black and blues. Holy cow! Amazing! Wifey Bm ordered the grilled wedge and I had to try the Caesar salad. The Parmesan crisps on the Caesar, SO CREATIVE! I loved them! On to entrees… My wife went with the “give ‘‘em the bird” turkey burger and I went “the straight shooter”. We ended up eating about half and trading cause they were that good! This place was amazing. We will be back simply because we HAVE to try the rest of this menu.

10/10 would recommend! Amazing food & drinks. The oysters were very delicious. The owner was so nice and welcoming. My friends and I went on a Saturday night and there was a DJ, so it was definitely a vibe. There’s even a cute instagramable wall for pictures. We will be returning back to Willie D’s!

Best hospitality. Best drinks. Best service. New gem in the Knox Henderson area. Great restaurant for any occasion! The owner, Gary, is one of the most personable people I've ever met! Willie D's is now a regular spot for my fiancée and I. Get the standard fries & espresso martini! You won't regret it!!

Great new spot in uptown! Delicious drinks and absolutely killer oysters. Tried this place on a whim and was not disappointed. Super nice atmosphere inside and great service. Wish I took a picture of my food before I tore into it but it was too damn good to wait. We will definitely be back :)

Atmosphere at Willie D’s is warm and welcoming, food and drinks on target, staff is amazing. Can’t go wrong with the burgers or tacos. Onion ring loaf is the bomb. Grilled oysters can’t be found anywhere in Dallas like these, you have to go to New Orleans to try and find them. Grab a blueberry mule and say hi to Gary Stapleton!

Great drinks, awesome food and service to match. Great place to catch a game with friends or just hang out. Owner is friendly and made sure we were happy.

This place was amazing! We went here on a whim while in town because the menu looked good and unique! They were out of the oysters (from a busy night before) but the manager made some excellent recommendations. We ended up sharing multiple dishes at the table and had an unexpected food experience! The mahi tacos, fried pickles and roasted chicken were the best we have ever had! The cocktails were well made! The staff including bartender, chef, manager and owner were incredible! Not from the area but this would be a local favorite of ours, if we were! Plan on telling any friends and family heading to Dallas area about this restaurant, highly recommend!

Based on my star rating, it should come as no surprise that I enjoyed my experience at Willie D's. And judging by the reviews on Google, you reading this should be on your way there right now. I do want to take a moment though and give praise where praise is due (and forgive the length of this review). I love food, and after recently returning to the area from Galveston, I love the culinary mecca that Dallas has become/is becoming. I eat out quite a bit and have had some of the finest food in this area. Willie D's was supposed to be a quick Friday night drink after work, but it was so much more. The atmosphere: friendly and inviting, but head-nodding hip. The staff: some of the finest I've ever encountered - helpful, friendly, and attentive while blending into the background and not disturbing your experience. They have mastered the art of "reading the room" when it comes to their diners. The food: it is sneakily fabulous! The subtle hit of mango and pepper on the raw oysters, the hint of horseradish in the ultra-addictive jalapeno ranch dressing, the tiny after hit of tamarind in the habanero margarita that reminds you of sweet bourbon smokiness...everything is comforting and familiar with a cool welcome plot twist. Pound for pound, Willie D's may be my favorite restaurant in Dallas. Gauntlet thrown. Try them out - guaranteed, you'll leave pleasantly surprised...and happy...and full!
