First time at Willie Rae's and I loved it! My family and I had such a good time. The atmosphere was great! The food was wonderful! The service was amazing! They helped us celebrate my husband's birthday in style. They made us feel like we were the only ones there and I appreciate that very much. Thank you! Fyi- my kids ate the Beignets so fast I only took a picture of the last one that was left.☺️

Place was awesome. Started off with the bruschetta. Then I had the Gumbo and my wife had the fish and chips. The gumbo was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had and the fish and chips were flavorful without being overbearing. Huge shout out to our server Justin, gave great service and gave us recommendations (why wife always has lots of questions) there is something to be said about someone that delivers that sort of service with a smile and very welcoming energy. This place is surrounded by restaurants where if you wanna have dinner there you need to pay a minimum of $35 per entree, and this place was proof you don’t need to break the bank to have a great meal. I honestly would choose this place over the “upscale” restaurants surrounding it any day.

Thank you for making my birthday so special! From the moment we arrived, the vibes were amazing—fun, lively, and welcoming. The service was attentive and super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I truly had a wonderful time celebrating there. The smoked chicken gumbo was absolutely delicious—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Cajun chicken bites were good, but a little too salty for my taste. Overall, the prices were great, and it’s such a fun place to hang out. I’ll definitely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Willie Rae's Social House while catching up with friends in the area, and let me tell you, I experienced an authentic Southern treat that I won't soon forget! As a firm believer that dessert should be enjoyed whenever the spirit moves you, I decided to kick things off with Rae's Beignets, and I highly recommend taking that route as your first stop! They were light, fluffy, and utterly delicious—just the perfect way to start the meal. The rest of my table opted to play by the "rules," so we also indulged in their famous Spinach Artichoke Dip, which was creamy and rich—definitely a crowd-pleaser! For my main course, I chose the Ragin' Cajun Pasta, and it truly hit the spot. The dish was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of spice without being overwhelming. The preparation was spot on, making it a delightful experience for my taste buds. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better dinner. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was attentive and friendly. If you're in the area and looking for an unforgettable Southern dining experience, I highly recommend Willie Rae's Social House. Can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu!

Generally, I give a lot of grace to local restaurants. My wife and I have eaten here before and had very average experiences, but today's was definitely the worst. My father in law lives about an hour away and saw this place on Atlanta Eats, and it is all he's been able to talk about since the episode came out. It showed great food and caring managers, but we feel that must have been a show for the cameras. We ordered the Mimosa tower and when it arrived, it was not the 100z of bubbly as advertised and also had mold growing in the spicket. We told our server and she whisked it away and returned it with a refill, but when we used it again, we found there was still mold in it. We ended up settling for a bottle (which we did get charged for). Our food was also disappointing. My wife's family is from New Orleans, and very careful with the quality of food that they will order since they know it should be prepared and do so at home quite often. The food that arrived didn't look anything like the TV version. The gumbo was bland except for the sausage. The catfish in the catfish PoBoy was good. The whole table's eggs were overcooked. The BBQ was saturated in sauce. No one finished their plate. Finally, the restaurant had a drain backup and water traveled towards tables where customers were actively eating. It seemed like all of the other customers couldn't get out of there fast enough (including us). At the end of the day, there are a lot of options on the Square and we can make quality Cajun food at home for a fraction of the price, so I don't think we'll be back. My advice to management is that excellence is in the details. If you don't take care in everything you serve to your customers, they will not have a great experience.

I had really high hopes for this place. The menu seemed really great. However, I found a bug in my water. It looked like a roach. I’m not sure but I couldn’t eat there after seeing it. Truly disappointing. The server was lovely!

I was so pleasantly surprised! I did not want to go but what a lame I was being because everything I ate was delicious! The staff was super kind and attentive going out of their way to make a Smokey old fashion for our cousin. We had both types of chargrilled oysters, fried green tomatoes, and chicken bites. All were super yummy!! Can’t wait to come back for dinner!

Okay, so it has been years since I've eaten at this restaurant. They have done a complete upgrade of the menu for the better. Now, the additional dishes are Louisiana/Cajun inspired creations. I ordered the Cajun Fettucine (Main), Mocktail (Beverage) and the French Quarters (Desert). Of course, there is still the full bar with a TV for my sports fan. Totally chill/relaxed atmosphere with plenty of low & high top table seating available. There are some outdoor tables accessible to patrons. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Pricing is in line with other establishments along the square and serving similar cuisines. And I must repeat, they have better tasting food.

My top place on The Marietta Square! Their food has been consistently good. Evelyn is a bright and cheerful presence that provides excellent service. Ashley is a fantastic addition to the team. Tim, the GM is always spot on overseeing the whole operation.

My love and I had a taste for some southern food and were excited to try this place! Limited seating inside but there's outdoor seating as well. It seems to be a local favorite. Very lively inside. We loved our server Greta and the manager Tim. We decided to attempt and try all of their draft beers (but didn't quite make it #ImALightWeight). We ordered the chicken bites to share. I got the Catfish and Grits for the entree. Lastly we got the French Quarters to finish off. My partner wanted the gumbo but they ran out! They were currently making a fresh batch so we have to come back to t try some. We enjoyed each plate and looked forward to coming back! Specially to try that Gumbo!

I really struggle with the rating. Three stars seems a bit harsh, but four stars is too generous. I think the average they have overall at this time (3.4) is about right. Positives: * food was served hot. That goes a long way in my book. * gumbo rue was very light and I think the bowl was 50% rice, but the sausage was very good. Gave a good spicy flavor to the gumbo! * atmosphere was great and they have plenty of outdoor seating. Opportunities: * the po' boy tasted good but just seemed basic. Bread was more like a soft bun than the traditional bread. It is what you would expect from a place that specializes in something else and not Cajun food. * fries. Menu reads Rosemary-Garlic fries. Had high hopes but just commercial frozen season fries. * service - our server was polite and when she was focused on us, we felt like welcomed guests. She just had too many tables. I think there may have been three serves for all of the inside and outside. Opportunity for management to get their staff some help. We will be back to try again, was just hoping it would be something special (we love Cajun food) and not just a run of the mill commercial food service place.

Came for brunch during the Marietta Chalktoberfest, so it was pretty busy. I ordered a Big Easy Mimosa (described on the menu as a "GENEROUS POUR of champagne and juice") and a club soda. I got the mimosa which was served in a standard champagne flute. How do you get a generous POUR of champagne into a standard champagne flute (you might ask)? You don't. It was just a regular mimosa. Never got my club soda - it was busy enough where I didn't press the issue. Ordered the salmon avocado toast with a poached egg and a side of bacon. Took about 30 minutes before toast arrived. Had to ask about the egg and bacon. 5-10 minutes later, bacon and a (charitably described) soft-boiled egg arrived. I sent the egg back hoping for a properly poached one. After another 10 minutes and as my wife was finishing her breakfast, another soft-boiled egg arrived. I told them to forget it and ate the toast without it. Stop serving brunch if the cooks can't poach an egg. Bartender took 15% of the bill without my asking to apologize for the egg, which was nice of him.

Food: Absolutely delicious Sevice: Friendly and helpful Ambiance: They have outside seating, need I say more Let me start by saying I was born and raised in Mississippi. Mississippi and Louisiana are basically kissing cousins. I love Louisiana, creole cuisine .. I ordered the red beans and rice the grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and my husband ordered the shrimp and grits. those were the best red beans and rice with sausage I've had in my life. I'm not exaggerating. they were so good. I tried my best to eat the whole bowl, but I was getting full and I had to save room for my chicken sandwich which was absolutely delicious as well. If you have not been to this restaurant, please come immediately if not sooner. The manager is super nice and friendly! He came out and checked on every table!! I love it here! We will definitely be back.

A few coworkers and I came here for lunch a couple days ago and we enjoyed it! I will say that it took some time for the food to come out and we also had to wait on the server to bring us the checks for a bit. Bathroom could also be a bit nicer. The burger tasted amazing! I loved it. I tried some of my friend's pasta as well and it was good. So the food is definitely getting a good grade but the service and status of the restroom- not so much. There is room for improvement here but I could definitely see myself coming back in the future. Lastly I will add that they have great gluten-free options. One of my coworkers is gluten intolerant and it was important they could be accommodated. Definitely made this place a spot we could pick for the day.

Hubby had the shrimp and grits. They grits tasted creamy and you can taste the cheese in them. The chicken and waffle was basic. The Po boy was really good. The shrimp was well seasoned, plentiful, and the bread tasted fresh. The Nola oysters were amazing! Full of bacon and the blue cheese was a nice touch of extra flavor. Not a huge fan of the Acapulco oysters. It had too much red sauce. The smoke n mango drink was delicious. I would go back and definitely get the Nola oysters.

The food was hot, fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed the grilled chicken/avocado wrap and the creole ranch was delicious and had the slightest kick to it. Drinks were strong and tasted good. Our server, who was also the bartender, was so sweet and accommodating. Bathroom was clean. Overall a really good/fun dining experience!

Wanted to try this place, as it was recommended. Waited several minutes to get seated. Finally, I flagged down a server and asked how long the wait would be for a table. Server said "we have 3 servers and no host. We'll get to you when we can." Needless to say, my family left. When restaurants are struggling like this, I can almost guarantee shortcuts are taken in the kitchen that won't render the cleanest of things....i.e. dishes, food, etc.... Stay away until they get it together over there!

What sorcery created that scampi dish? It's the best take on a shrimp scampi I've ever had in my life, not muddy or heavy whatsoever. What is that zest? Lime? Lemon? Magic? So far, I've tried the pimento dip, the pimento fritters, the buffalo chicken sandwich, and the scampi. I recommend all of it.

Exterior Located downtown Marietta / at the square. Parking can be tough at the square but we arrived super late, so there were no parking issues. Interior TINY. I think the restaurant might have 2 parts. Unsure because we didn't venture past the bar. Food We ordered the chicken quesadilla & fries. I asked and was excited to discover that fries are no longer hand cut. Our friendly server was super apologetic about the hand-cut fries but I assured him that I'd discovered it's too easy to ruin them and I was thrilled to discover that they were just regular, plain ole fries. I even asked - are they battered or seasoned or anything. He said no. So imagine my disappointment when nearly an hour later when the food arrived, I was presented with a plate of battered, seasoned french fries. :-( Sent them back. The chicken quesadilla was ok - but had very little chicken so it was not filling. I tried to order a flight of their sampler sized holiday cocktail. Server apologized & told me the flights weren't available on karaoke night. Um... ok... it's not indicated anywhere on the specialty menu DEDICATED to the holiday cocktails btw. I wound up ordering a full sized cocktail (just went with server's suggestion). It was excellent. I also had a shot of vodka because I wanted to relax QUICKLY. Price / Value We arrived a few minutes after 9pm and the kitchen had already closed so we were limited to a choice of chicken or beef quesadillas, brussel sprouts, French fries, Pickle chips, pimento cheese fritters or beer battered onion rings. I thought the chicken quesadilla was a little pricey when considering the rather sparse amount of chicken. Customer Service When I called earlier to inquire about karaoke for my buddy, the owner answered the phone. (I only found out he was the owner when I called back to ask another question - lol.) He was friendly, upbeat and energetic. I asked if they got a pretty big crowd and if the crowd was pretty diverse. He answered affirmative to both and had me really excited to check them out. He also told me that they also own South Cobb Diner. He said South Cobb Diner has karaoke on Thursdays and WR Social House has it on Fridays. Unfortunately, SCD cancelled their karaoke Thursday because the DJ was sick. The staff was warm & friendly - made us feel welcome. Other When we entered the establishment, we were a bit surprised at how small the place was, but that didn't dampen our enthusiasm. It was crowded and my buddy LOVES to perform so I was excited to see him have a chance to strut his stuff. The 'host' indicated a choice of two different spots & as I made my way to my seat, there was a young white chick with long hair blocking my way. She had her back to me, but the young black girl she was loudly talking to - was facing me. I said excuse me 3 separate times & she didn't seem to hear me. And her friend, who was making eye contact with me, did not seem inclined to tell her friend that someone was trying to get by. I finally had to tap her shoulder & she turned and scowled at me like she couldn't believe someone had the nerve to touch her. Then this idiot flipped her hair on me as I squeezed past her. And we are both 'big girls' so this was no easy feat. The entire night, we were subjected to this loud, obnoxious girl's @ss in my face as she danced the night away. Later, another patron fell off of her chair. No one laughed or made a big deal about it. Her group immediately helped her up and it was back to business as usual. Or so I thought. Well here comes a tall thin chick in a green sweater. She approaches the guy sitting at the table in front of us. She asks him if he recorded her friend falling off the chair and demands he erase the footage. He quietly & respectfully tells her that he wasn't recording. His girlfriend comes back from the restroom looking puzzled that a strange woman is talking to her bf. Green sweater explains to his gf that she wants to see his phone to make sure he's not lying about having filmed her friend falling off the chair. For some reason, dude acquiesces - and shows her the phone. She thanks him and stomps off. I could not believe the entitled, obnoxious behavior of green sweater. It made me wonder exactly how this would have played out if she'd come over to me demanding to see my phone (I'd had my phone out recording my buddy but put my phone away a few seconds earlier.) The night was winding down but this, coupled with the Flashdancer still whipping her hair around & dancing her butt off in front of me - made me tell me buddy it's time to wrap this up. Overall Oh - and I should mention - this is not 'regular karaoke.' This is crowd-sing-along-karaoke. Lmbo. There are multiple televisions with lyrics and if the crowd knows the song, they are scream-singing along with the performer, basicially drowning him / her out. Lol. I'm glad my buddy got a chance to sing but I definitely felt like we were a little too old for this group.

Have had a great experience both times I've dined here for lunch! They have great lunch specials. I tried the Grilled Chicken Avocado Wrap as well as the Greek Salad Wrap. Both are amazing, and the standout was the Greek Salad Wrap. Their rosemary fries are also phenomenal. Friendly service and great ambiance right on the square.

Everything! Service, food and drinks were amazing! It is a welcoming spot to meet friends.

Went in for a quick lunch. Had the gumbo and choice of a salad which you could choose either a Greek, House or Caesar. I chose the house salad. Just enough to fill you up and very good. The gumbo is award winning. It's Awesome! Service was very good as well and they were aware of when your drink was low. I will return very soon.

Loved this place! The food and drinks were fantastic, service was excellent and the ambiance was lively. We had the fried pickles, I had shrimp and grits with the smoked old fashioned. My son had a blt burger and we brought home the bayou shrimp scampi and beignets to my daughter. The price point was great for all that we got and the quality. We'll be back!

We came for brunch on Saturday about noon. We were a party of 5 and I appreciated they sat me while I waited for my friends. First thing, $15 bottles for mimosas with a choice of orange, pineapple or grapefruit juice is a great deal. Their cocktail list did look good though. I ordered the captain crunch french toast which was good and not overly sweet. We also split the pimento fritters which were delicious. The service was great snd everyone else's food looked delicious. I'd definitely recommend checking them out for brunch around Marietta Square.

I would love to tell you that my husband and I had gotten to sit down for a meal here and make some sweet memories. Would have loved to rave to you about the ambiance and the service, and most importantly the meal and drinks. Before that opportunity could arise, this afternoon, my husband happened to stop at one of the four quite empty tables in front of this restaurant while on a walk with our very new baby. He stopped to pull a bottle out as there was no one sitting at the outdoor dining area and he needed to get the baby's bag off of his back to get the bottle. Before he had a chance to pull out the bottle, a very attentive hostess accosted him to ask him "what he planned on ordering, since he had decided to just sit down." He remained standing, as he had been, next to the table, and let her know he just needed to take a bottle out of the backpack and keep the baby in the shade. She then promptly let him know that the vacant patio tables were not "public changing tables." What couth. I suppose in hindsight, she may have thought that needed clarified since we obviously look like the type of people to change our newborn on a dirty outdoor patio table for the world to see. I'm not sure what gave it away. It could have been the fact that he never took her out of the stroller, or that there were no diapers to be found. Just rookie parent mistakes I guess she's seen people in her life make before. Before he had a chance to take the brake off the stroller and move along so he could walk and feed the baby while she was still in the stroller, this staff member asked him again "what his order was," as if he would patronize such a, well, patronizing place. Based on other reviews I'm seeing, it sounds like there is a strong need to invest time and energy into training all staff on expectations of how to treat people (especially those who may not yet be customers), and create a more healthy culture amongst employees. Perhaps at the least, to strategize how to give host and wait staff something more beneficial to do besides stare out the window during a slow afternoon and shoo off anyone who might stop for a moment in front of their establishment. This is actually the opposite of attracting customers, to which most successful businesses dedicate themselves. As an aside, the one time I went with a friend, the pimento cheese fritters were not even particularly good. Tasty food covers a multitude of sins, but there may not be any redeeming this bad boy if these are the kinds of behaviors they manufacture in their employees. Will happily skip on down past this one on my next trip to the Square.

This is my second time dining here and my experience was average. I met up with my sister and her boyfriend for brunch but I wasn't hungry so I ordered the pimento cheese fritters and a vodka soda. The fritters came first, even though they ordered way ahead of me. Fritters were nice and cheesy but my favorite part was the honey hot sauce. I just wasn't a fan of the overall dish since it was too greasy for me. This is an ok place that serves decent food imo. There are definitely other places on the square that serve better food.

So I've been debating how I wanted to write this review and forgot for a while to post, (busy life), but here's what happened. About a month ago a friend of mine invited me to try this place for brunch and oysters. Service was decent and the food not bad! The oysters were good but here's the issue; I'm eating and oyster and "CRUNCH!" I feel a snap and spit out a Lil tooth and a baby pearl from inside my oyster! I'm in shock and the server is kind of like "oh no"......... of course no one can guess that something like that would have happened, but literally no manager came out, nothing! Like no acknowledgment of the insanity of me chipping a tooth at their establishment! Not only was there no apology I was still charged for the oysters. I work in the industry so I didn't make a big deal, people have even told me to sue. I think what's most concerning was the lack of care just because I didn't make a scene. I'll post a pic of the pearl here. I've had time to think on it and it's just really lame no one even checked on me and it was like "too bad" basically. The eggs Benedict weren't worth the dentist bill I'll be dealing with soon so I won't be back... but it doesn't hurt to have some kind of care for your guests.

Great black bean burger. Wait staff were attentive and quick. I ate inside, but the sidewalk tables looked shady and nice. Just me, so I didn't want to take up a table outdoors by myself. The fries had a great crisp to them and the right amount of salt. Since it's a work day - no drinks, but pretty nice beer list. Good music selection for lunchtime. The menu boasts several burgers and some great table shares- I my have to come back to try the Brussel sprouts.

I just ordered the southern Benedict to go. 10/10 the best Benedict. Worth every penny. Service is always great. Also, try the beignets. The food here is so awesome now!

We'd not been in to WR Social House since Covid. We thought we would stop in for lunch on Sunday. We both wanted the amazing Pimento Cheese Fritters. Prior to the pandemic, WR Social had always been a solid place to get really good food. I don't know if this was an off day or if its quality just dropped since we'd last been. We were first told that they were out of the Pimento Fritters. OK, we were disappointed, but places do run out of offerings. We were hungry, so we stayed. I ordered the regular burger. I wanted it medium. I don't like fries, so I asked about other options. I opted for the garlic mashed potatoes. I was told it would be a couple of dollars more. Ok, that was fine because I don't like fries. My husband ordered the Pimento burger, and he wanted his well as he doesn't like pink in the meat. He ordered the fries. When the order came, my burger was not only not medium, but I could have used it as a hockey puck. The burger was warm, but the sautéed onions were cold. I'm not sure how that happened. The burger was so salty that it was as if it had just been dipped in salt. The potatoes were certainly not garlic. In fact, they had no flavor at all. The husband's burger was a hockey puck, too. I saw him try to cut it with a fork. I wouldn't even cut. The fries, like the mashed potatoes, were flavorless and barely warm. I've never sent food back at a restaurant. Had the waiter checked in on us (even once) after dropping the food, I would have returned it. The food was simply that level of "bad." All in all, it was just a really disappointing experience. The restaurant was not very busy. Certainly not as busy as we've seen. There were plenty of staff. Nobody seemed interested in even refilling our empty drink cups? As I said, perhaps it was just an off day.

New ownership. Back to a more creole/cajun menu. Great bar. The burger is excellent. Good place for a group, and you can make a reservation.

I went there last night for the first time in about 5 months. The menu items and design have changed. The name may also have been changed back to Willie Rae's Social House. This restaurant changed ownership about three months ago from what I understand the bartender saying. The menu has more selection and is Cajun influenced. The prices were very reasonable I think because of the well designed menu and the reasonable portions. The menu itself was one of those flat place mat type menus with the all day menu including brunch which it appears they now serve every day 9:30 to 4:00. The environment is very comfortable, relaxed and casual. The night we were there it was packed (a Monday night). As soon as a table opened up more people arrived. I hope they keep the unpretentious casual vibe. We did not have a problem, and people at the tables seemed very happy and having fun, but I hope the owner reads this and checks on staffing adequately. I could not see how the kitchen was going to keep up. The wait staff seemed to be doing a good job and were organized despite all the customers. They may have needed at least one more waitperson. Danny at the bar was making drinks with care, but seemed to be keeping up, including taking some to the tables, and helping with orders. For the holidays there was a booklet diner type bar menu with about eight pages and about twenty drink offerings. It was very casual and fun with graphics and pictures. Don't miss the holidays and the fun bar menu. This was a fun place and the new owner knows what they are doing. The menu items looked good. What we had was great. I hope people disregard reviews from earlier than a few months ago and check this place out.

Came here for brunch with a friend. I really enjoyed the chill atmosphere and music. It's small but they offer indoor and outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. The food was ok and the servers where friendly and attentive. I plan to return since it is located in Marietta Square it's nice to take a little walk after you eat and explore the area.

The grits in the fish and grits might have well been soup, it had no texture at all and the flavor was bland. the catfish was undercooked and still raw in the middle. I told the server the the grits were like soup, and he said "yeah, there is a lot too". He did not understand I was saying it was not good at all. I had to explain to him that it is not supposed to be that way. I will not be coming back again. What a shame.

Great food, decent drinks, wonderful location on the Square, but awful service. Hopefully just growing pains, but we sat for 15-20 minutes waiting to order a drink, then for the drinks to come, etc...one poor server seemed to be getting flagged down by all the tables, and was helping, while other servers seemed to be ghosting us all. Was a Sunday afternoon, and they were not particularly busy. Good food though, will likely give them another shot.

Food was mediocre, service was non existent. Place was trendy yet they still have some work to do with the service . Enter at your own risk . I was sitting next to a couple that had same experience, they kept complaining about the food and temperature of the food so I wasn't the only one .

We had tickets to a show at The Strand and thought 2 hours before show time was enough time to eat before the show. The waiter/bartender was evidently busy. As he was taking our order, a group sat at the table next to us. They got their drinks before us. Then they got their food before us. I suspect our order wasn't placed. We did get an appetizer complimentary, but didn't get that until we said something about our tickets. The other table had finished their meal before that too. We barely made the opening of the show. I would not recommend going here if you are in a rush or time constraint.

Solid food options here. Hubby had the short ribs which were so tender and not overly seasoned. We sat outside at the sidewalk seating since we had our dog with us.

Ok. I was done with this place but Lindsey the Mgr Tim changed our minds. When I told my wife I wanted to try again because the food is awesome, she said ok last time. First a gentleman that I can't remember his name sat us at an outside table and continued to check on us to make sure we had service. Then Lindsey gave excellent service to the point that we asked for the Mgr to let him know and to explain my last review. Great spot to eat and now great service

Great food, great service, great atmosphere, fun karaoke, amazing deals all through the week.

Was walking around Marietta Square looking for someplace to eat. Of all the places that were open, the Social House's menu piqued our interest. It's a cute little space with a combination of high tables and low tables. I ordered some crispy Brussel Sprouts, Pimento Cheese fritters and grilled tilapia tacos. Well first of all, the sprouts were not crispy and the flavor was seriously nothing to write home about. I like the veggie themselves and needed the fiber, so I chomped away at them. The tacos were super basic and not even appetizing to look at. The cheese fritters could have been the star of the evening and honestly was the best item of all we ordered, but it was supposed to come on some special sauce... the sauce tasted like buffalo chicken sauce - not impressive at all. They were better off serving the fritters on their own. The dish would have been more impressive that way.

Went there today for a late lunch. The server came out and was telling a party of 6 that they were out of almost everything. She then started dropping the F bomb saying she and the other server had only made $40 each and they had over 22 tables each. She said I used to work at Steak & Shake and I made more tips there. The party of 6 stayed but we left. Never asked for a drink order and we had to get a menu from the table next to us. Perhaps if she had a better attitude, she'd make more money. Won't ever go back.

Had a great experience here! Stopped in with my friends for a girls night & we were very happy with the food, drinks and atmosphere. Service was excellent as well.

Very disappointed with the lack of service today. We left after several minutes, due to not being tended to. The waitress passed our table without greeting us or asking if we wanted anything to drink. Spent several minutes at the only other table chatting and ignoring us. We were the only other table in the restaurant. This use to be one of our favorite places.

We walked into this place because we couldn't get a table at another place. I think it was our fault for not turning around but it was late and kids were hungry. We sat down and all tables were full. No distancing tables at all. We all get burgers. My daughter got milk (not included in the kids meal). It was spoiled! Nasty! Luckily she didn't get sick. He apologized and still charged us for it. Ordered fried green tomatoes and it was definitely not made fresh, tasted like deep fried frozen ones. The tomatoes were soft, squishy, and hard to cut into. Burgers were ok. Could be better. I had to take kids to the bathroom. Disgusting! During this Covid time, you expect them to be extra clean. No paper towels, smells gross. Had to drown myself in sanitizer. Total was $65, waste of money and I regret coming here.

Great little restaurant with delicious food and yummy cocktails. I had the BLGT with fries and the spinach and avocado dip. Everything was tasty. I will definitely go back.

Such a great neighborhood experience ! Came on a Sunday afternoon and sat outside to people watch. The staff was awesome and the food came out hot and fresh. Well definitely come back.

WR Social House lives up to its name as a great place to socialize, people watch, and grab a drink. The atmosphere is casual and fun. It has a neighborhood feel that is perfect for the square. It's a popular spot with seating both in and outside, and on the last visit, while they were busy as always, we were seated right away. Both my daughter and I ordered the black bean burger. A house made black bean, sweet potato, and quinoa patty served up with avocado, lettuce, pickles, and pretty much whatever else you want to have it your way. I ordered the pimento cheese burger and subbed the black bean patty. We decided to up our sides with the Blue Fries, fries with honey, garlic and blue cheese and the Brussel Sprouts. The burgers were messy, but good. The blue fries were great, Brussels were decent. Outside of being seated quickly, the service was friendly and fast. We happened to be there on the karaoke night, so while conversation was limited with the loud music, the people watching was entertaining and added to the evening. Would definitely return when back on the square. By the way, according to the Urban Dictionary, the word socialhouse is trademarked in Canada for commercial purposes. You can hit that "useful" vote now.

Visited Marietta Square for the first time and chose this place for lunch. So good! We had the Brussel Sprouts Appetizer, Pork chop with Mac n cheese and a salad and the BLGT sandwich with fries. You cannot go wrong. And on top of that the service was attentive, personable and provided solid recommendations. Definitely a place to visit!

Joseph- we tried again. To answer your question to our review 8 months ago, I don't remember who sat us but it doesn't matter as the server should have eyes on their table- and if they didn't- the other four people that cleaned all the empty tables around us should have acknowledged us. So here we are again today. Went in around 3 and had a server and host standing at the host stand one foot away from our faces and they ignored us a to continue their convo. We weren't greeted for 6 minutes. Our order was taken before drinks hit the table. Our app hit the table before the drinks as well. No share plates. Four kids standing in the back while I grabbed my own. Another table next to us left due to no service as well. Nothing has improved. The business has a great location. Worst service on the square time and time again.

I had my second visit to WR social house yesterday and I am officially a fan! The staff is so kind and helpful, the food is great and they have a pretty extensive bourbon selection. On my first visit, I was able to snag patio seating which was perfect! The small patio in front of the restaurant has a couple of bistro tables and they are first come first serve. I also want to mention that the patio is dog friendly! I enjoyed the salmon and spinach salad and took full advantage of the $13 bottle of champagne special that runs on the weekend! On my 2nd visit, the patio was full so I went in and sat at the bar. The bar service was great and the bartender was super cool and made me the best French75. I ordered the social house burger which was a delicious specialty burger with caramelized onions and some kind of cranberry sauce with a side of fries. Sooo good! I also ordered the Brussels sprouts which might be my favorite thing on the menu! The serving size was huge, but enough to share and the taste was spot on! I think it had some kind of balsamic and honey combo on it. I would eat these Brussels sprouts every single day of my life they were that good. All in all, I would highly recommend this place. It is clean, moderately priced, great service and great food!

i just want to start off by saying our host (guy wearing the cargo shorts) tried his best to save the day, going out of his way to do the servers job of bringing us drinks and pestering her to server us when she would deliberately ignore us. We arrived to the restaurant an hour before closing, the entire inside of the restaurant was completely empty except for the bar and outside seating, which were both full. Our host got us seated after a short wait and after 20 minutes our server had walked past us 5 times and our host had asked us twice if we had been served yet and even brought us water. another 15 minutes later our server walked by us yet again and this time told us "it's not gonna happen tonight" which mind you was the first thing she said to us the whole time aside from the side eyes she gave, at that point we decided to get up and leave, our host tried to reassure us but after the disrespect from our insufferable server we left to the pizza shop around the corner. Which served us our food within the same amount of time it took us to get our waters at Social House; and the pizza shop had the same rush and the same amount of staff on duty. i wish i had got the name of our server but she was the middle aged lady in glasses, who I might add shoulder checked us on our way out since her ego was apparently bigger than the door frame. anyways the food is usually delicious here, leave it to the servers to destroy the reputation.

I loved WR Social House and I keep coming back to give it another try, and another try, and another try. The food is always excellent, but the service is just deplorable. I arrived at 11 when they opened, sat down and it wasn't until I asked the hostess at 11:10 if I could have a cup of coffee before I was even acknowledged. No water, no service, nothing until I asked her because I wasn't greeted to know who was waiting on me. She brought me coffee and then said "my server" would bring me anything else. Not sure who that server was because I had to ask to order food from another person. And then finally I had to walk up to the bar to close out my tab after sitting there with an empty cup of coffee and clear plate. I still left a 50% tip because waiting tables is a tough job, but I'm just also appalled that it was so difficult to even be acknowledged and when asking for simple service, such as a cup of coffee or to order food, I'm treated as if I'm being absurd. I'm really sad that my favorite brunch place, and a place I've recommended to so many, just can't take care of a simple table.

I only got an appetizer (spinach and avocado dip with pita bread) and a drink that had a ton of ice in very skinny glass and it cost $25 I tipped $5 so that was $30 for barely anything at all. I will say it was tasty but what a rip off. The waitress was nice. Def won't be going back unless someone else is paying for me.

Really 3.5...I wish the taste lived up to the menu. The braised beef grilled cheese sandwich sounded amazing but it was just mediocre. It has SO much potential. It just needs...something. It tasted bland despite the cheese and onions and braised beef. I think it could probably lose the avocado. It just didn't do anything for it, even though I love avocado. Not sure what cheese was used but also so little flavor. I also tried the goat cheese stuffed green tomatoes. The tomatoes themselves were terrible. Difficult to chew. The breading is super heavy and although I don't usually mind a heavy breading, it was way too cornmealy. Aaaaaaand also pretty flavorless. I'm not sure what was going on and I hope that this was an anomaly because I've heard some good things about this place. I would be willing to give it another try but it's not going to be high on my list.
